Verizon Iphone 4
I really wanted a white cover for my new iphone, and this one seemed to be my best bet. I gave it three stars because I actually like the way it looks for the most part. It is slim, hard, and white. I love how it has the hole in the back that shows the apple logo. I did not like how it feels there is no protection for the front of the phone. I didn't think this would bother me, but it did. I am very easy on my phones, which is why I got a thin one, more for looks than protection. However after only about 2 weeks of usage, it has a small crack in it! I haven't dropped my phone any,so no idea why it would have cracked. Very low quality product. (But of course you pay for what you get) Spend your extra dollars on an Incase or Incipio cover that will actually last. elago S4 Slim Fit Case for AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4 with Logo Protection Film (Snow White)
This is my first case from Elago and considering the low price, the case is decent value for the money. I bought it to protect my white iPhone 4 (Verizon).
PROS
- Slim fitting -- This case will fit snugly against your iPhone and will not add much bulk
- Decent value -- Price for this case is very attractive compared to most of the other cases out there
- Looks good with white iPhone -- the white color of the case is slightly different than the white of the iPhone, but still looks decent
- Does not obstruct rear Apple logo -- as you can probably tell from the product photo, the rear of the case has a circular opening for Apple's logo
CONS
- Lack of grip -- The surface of this case is a slick plastic, so it doesn't make your iPhone any less slippery
- Will not fit with rear screen protector -- if you purchased screen protectors (front and back) for your iPhone, the rear protector will probably cause the case to not fit correctly.
- Logo protection film is a joke -- don't even bother
- Elago's advert -- Elago slaps their website on the back of the case. I don't mind the company name, but the website advert is a bit tacky.
I ordered this case, as well as the Acase Superleggera for the iPhone 4 (Verizon). The Elago case definitely fits very close, so it does not add any bulk to the phone. Its shape is very specific to this phone, which is nice because it adds more protection than the Acase does, especially on the corners. It looks sharp, but I have to say that I actually don't care for the opening to show the Apple logo. Letting the world know I have an iPhone is not on my priority list, and it somehow mars the continuity of the design - I always manage to put my finger right in it when I am using the phone. It's not a major thing, but the Acase doesn't have this, and I like that better. I think the opening on the side where the volume controls are is slightly too large; you can see the black line on the metal of the iPhone, which I would prefer not to see. (Just being really picky.) I also wish the half circle shape for the headphone port were slightly smaller so that the edge of the metal of the phone could not be seen, but I'm sure it was a functionality consideration. Nothing I plug into my phone is that big, but I'm sure that's not true for everyone.
I know those things are super picky details, and they definitely are not deal breakers. The reason I didn't give this case five stars is because it is slick. Really slick. You have the same chance of dropping your phone with this case on as you would if you didn't have it at all. I can definitely see having your phone slide off a slanted surface (like a podium) if you set it down in this case. The Acase has a more rubbery coating on it, which helps your grip, and probably keeps it from sliding around when you put it down. The Elago case is not super easy to take off, but it's really not that hard, either. Besides, isn't the point to keep it ON the phone? I haven't had any reception problems with either case. It also gives a certain loss of feel when pressing the home button - it seems really stiff with the case on. No loss of functionality, just a weird feel.
Bottom line: This is a really nice case that actually looks like it was made for Apple; it just doesn't provide any grip.
I am just loving this cover. I bought it along with a transparent shield from Splash Masque. They fit in perfectly. My earlier experiences with covers coupled with the Transparent shield were not so satisfactory because the covers project into the face of the iPhone and rip the edges of the transparent shield, gathering dust particles around the edges. This one works great! The only negative I can think of, is that it is glossy on the sides & occasionally slips off the hand. But with its awesome looks, it works perfect for me!!
Just recieved the case and I love the way it fits and looks! I have a screen protector on as well and it fits perfectly. The case is not bulky at all. Very slim and sleek. The edges are so thin. The logo showing on the back is great too.
Totally worth the $$$. Not gong to provide much protection. If you are rough on your cell, this is not the case for you.
If you want to give some protection, with minimally detracting from the look of the phone, this is it!
My phone is white.'
