Speed Rope - speed rope, fitness
This is the best jump rope I've ever used! The rope is light enough, yet dense enough for me to perform extremely high speed swings. (Yes, it also hurts a lot when I miss a jump and whip myself haha.) If you're looking to do more than just light cardio, then look no more. This rope is fast enough for you to continuously perform double unders; and if you can challenge yourself to a TRIPLE UNDER, this rope will make it possible.
I figured I'd go for a bargain with the Valeo Deluxe Speed Rope, but I'm a little disappointed with it because I really did get what I paid for. Its rubber is less dense and I have to exert a lot more force from my arms to perform the double unders and the triple under is just impossible. Unfortunately, this 9-ft rope will only fit certain sized frames--about 5'll" to 6'5". Or you'll have to tie a knot(s) down each side to have it fit you if you're shorter. Everlast Deluxe Speed Rope
I've been using this jump rope for a couple weeks now, and I'm pretty satisfied thus far. It's plenty long enough for my 6'3 frame, and spins as fast as I need it to. The bearings make it feel a little different than a rope without them, but I got used to this after one or two trips to the gym. Overall, a great rope for the price.
I have been using this jump rope now for quite a few months and for many intense cardio workouts. It is very durable and fast and the grip is very comfortable. I cannot think of one negative about it. I highly recommend it!
I only rate this 1 star for me personally. I'm sure if you are looking for a rope and you're of a normal stature you will most likely agree with the other reviews provided. I am 5'3" and need this shortened. I just wanted make it known that this rope is not adjustable.
I do understand there is no statement saying it is but I didn't figure that the rope's design would hinder you from doing so. I popped the handle end off, it will not lower down through the handle end for you to shorten the rope. This is because there is a metal piece crimped on the end of the rope in the handle and cannot be pushed past a narrowing point. You could tie knots before the rubber rope enters the ball bearing end of the handle but that is pretty ghetto and seems to me to throw off the rope a bit. I thought about cutting the rubber rope before it entered the handle then putting it back in but the metal piece would still be loose.
There are many ropes to choose from on Amazon. If you need to adjust your rope then this is not the one for you.
It's been a while since my rope jumping days, so I read the feedback on the item prior to buying to figure out if the length would be good for my height.
I'm 5'7" - I'd say it's a border line for using a 9ft rope. A person shorter than 5'6" would have to adjust the length.
I didn't have to make any adjustments, it's great for my height, love the fact that the rope is on a heavier side - doesn't require much of a wrist action (jumping is a challenge enough at this point).
Very pleased with the purchase.
One of the reviews states this is a 10ft rope in the title, which is why I bought it, being 6'4". I just received it and it says quite plainly on the back it's a 9ft rope. The product description doesn't specify, so I figured I'd leave another review to clarify (another review says it's 9ft but only in the review text, which I missed.)
I wish there were a way to not give it a star rating and just leave this as an informational posting, but I'll give it 5 stars so I don't tank the rating of what - handling it right now - appears to be quite a good 9ft jump rope.
At first, I was hesitant to purchase this rope because of it's length. I'm 5`6 and when I read the reviews, people over 6` was mainly purchasing it. But I gave it a try and it is actually alittle too long for people around my height. I had to tie a loop on one side to get it right for my height. the rope itself is excellent but I personally think it's too expensive for a rope... - Rope - Speed Rope - Fitness - Jump Rope'
