This item looks great in my 8 year old son's new NY Yankees bedroom. He is so proud of it -- he shows everyone when they come in his room. The "tin" adds a nice quality to it. Just be aware, though, that if you have beige light switches it will definitely contrast with the white switchplate. You may need to change the light box to a white switch if that concerns you.
