Battery Testers - 9v, battery testers

The gauge seems to be accurate within reason (not 100%, but close enough to tell if it is a good or dead battery). The design is pretty good, but some of the coin batteries are difficult to consistently get a good connection and some of the other batteries either fall out or difficult to get in. Overall, it serves it's purpose though. Green Solutions Universal Digital Battery Tester

This item did not work. It arrived poorly packaged, and seemed to have a rattle. Despite purchasing brand new batteries to run the thing, everything tested showed no life in any battery. A different tester purchased in a store revealed life in 90% of the batteries tested with the "Green Solutions". I had to send the thing back.

Don't let the nice looking picture fool you.

This battery tester is a flimsy piece of junk. It is not well constructed and never worked for me.

This is definitely not worth any extra money over comparable battery testers.

The battery tester worked well in testing all sizes of batteries. I would have preferred a tester that did not require a battery itself to operate.

Having used other testers in the past I strongly recommend this one for its ease of operation and clarity in presenting the strength of the battery being tested.

Well-made and useful item for the price. Cylindrical batteries are a tight fit; I have not tried it on any button-types or those with both poles at one end. User should read and follow instructions carefully. If you buy batteries in large quantity pkgs on sale, it is good to have a gadget like this to check & see if they are still good by the time you need to use them. It is also very handy to have when your remote (or other battery-driven product) quits and you need to know if a simple change of battery is all it needs.

This tester is by far and away better than the other testers I have used before. It has a graduated bar guage that gives you a much better idea of what the battery strength is. Instead of the "Good" or "Bad" like the others. I used the other brand to test a bunch of batteries, the old tester said "Bad". Then I used this tester on them and most of them were still holding enough of a charge to use for quite some time.

Thank you,

Paul

Let me prefix this review by pointing out that I have a 12 year old son. For the past year or so, we've been collecting batteries in a small bucket that for whatever reason had been condemned as exhasuted. I'd often wondered about the contents and whether some otherwise good batteries had been tossed out needlessly. I was correct. Nearly 50% of the batteries in the bucket were good and nearly 10% seemed to be excellent. This tester paid for itself on the first day. It's a convenient and useful tool - perfect for its function. It covers all the common sizes and voltages. BUY ONE.

The tester works great: I evidently have many batteries that weren't dead, as I had thought! I DO think it's funny, however, to have a battery tester that takes a battery to test whether other batteries need to be replaced by NEW batteries. If THAT battery in the tester is questionable, how ya gonna test the one that powers IT?! Just wondering...

Great little thing, Would buy another 1 for gift, Have used it more that i thought i would have. Its not over sized as it looks in photo, Didn't think i'd like the bottom to be opened, but its better opened, you can get c-d batteries out easy. Great tester to have around. {The deplay could have been a bit bigger}, but it works, its seaable, fits right in hand - 9v - Electronics And Gadgets - Battery Testers - Battery'
