It works good on boxes and bubble mailers that don't have any writing or printing on them. If you need to completely hide what is beneath the label, I recommend the Avery 5126 Labels with TrueBlock. I believe the smearing problem one person complained about is a Pixma printer problem rather than a label problem. I ordered these in hopes that I could use these instead of the more expensive (and higher quality) Avery 5126 labels. I received them and I tried to print, the printer could not feed them. I try using 12 sheets no good, tried 1 and it almost loaded, tried 2 and it works, but who wants to manual feed a single sheet every time when you have 20 or 30 labels to print? I was really hoping they would work since there were so cheap. But I guess that says it all. I tried many paper settings for my printer trying to get it to load from transparency to photo glossy and so on, but no go. If the seller wants to explain how to get them to work, I will edit this review.
First of all, these are DigiOrange labels, which can be found all over Amazon. With Amazon Prime shipping, however, these were still the best price.
Second, if strong chemical odors make you sick, it's worth spoiling yourself with the Avery labels. These smell like a combination of a tire factory and an oil refinery.
Third, these labels curl *big time*. I live in an arid, air-conditioned climate, and these labels are nearly curling onto themselves. If you live in a humid climate, these might make pretty good funnels. After airing them out thoroughly, it would be wise to keep a heavy book on top of them.
In their favor, these labels glide through my Canon MX420 and my bf's HP C8180 effortlessly, and because I'm such a cheapskate, I find them tolerable. I'll reserve my leftover Avery labels for when I need to block underlying markings.
I read a great many reviews before buying shipping labels a few months ago. The only pattern I could find was that people were very disappointed with some labels, but not others. How can that be if it's the same product? I decided maybe because it was NOT the same product. I have ordered from HOUSE LABELS twice now, and will continue to do so as long as I need these types of labels, or any other they carry. They are a fraction of the cost of Avery labels. They stick very well to anything, even 100% recycled cardboard. I've tested them, including leaving them on for a few days, no curling at all. I have a VERY finicky printer and these labels have NEVER jammed in my printer. Avery labels jam, at best, once every 4 or 5 sheets. I absolutely recommend house labels. I have only written a review for anything once before, and I'm certainly not a plant by the company, I'm just an itsy bitsy tiny bookseller who needs the best possible value and performance wherever he can get it. Be sure your order is being fulfilled by "house labels" and you will receive, (via priority mail, by the way) an excellent product at an excellent price. If I could ask for anything at all more from the company, I would say score the back side diagonally so custom cuts can be peeled off more easily, but that's a problem I can live with if I have to. Highly recommended. 5 stars. A+. Whatever grading system you want to use, if you like saving money and getting something just as good for a reasonable price, try these labels out.
I was rather excited to try these labels out for the price. Sadly, I bought 200 sheets. I have a Canon Pixma MP460 that I use to print off my shipping labels on Amazon and through PayPal. The labels come out smeared or spotty. I would not recommend this product. In the past, I used the 3M 3200-V shipping labels and those worked MUCH better.
-Difficult to tell which side is the printing side and which is the back as they look and feel exactly the same
-Difficult to peel the label off as its completely flush with the backing on all sides
-It curls like crazy and once it sticks to itself, you can't "unstick" it, so the label is ruined.
After ruining about 5 sheets I finally got the "trick" down to apply it. Any time a product requires a "trick" to use, it's a BAD product!
Super fast shipping, better than what was expected and honestly for the price they are unbeatable. Already mailed out numerous packages and no issues at all. They went through the printer A-OK, even half a sheet and stuck to package perfectly. Not sure what else you could want from a label. Much better value than the avery labels which I spent a small fortune on. For the price this is an incredible value!
I was buying labels from Quality Shipping Supplies for the past 2 years. They changed something- probably their contract with a manufacturer, and the last batch I had were terrible. I actually got my money back from Amazon, the labels would peel off by themselves, and they wanted to curl up into narrow tubes.
So I was on the hunt for a better quality label without spending a fortune on Avery. Well, I tried a small order of the Houselabels (400 labels). I have been using these for the past month and they are fantastic. They are thicker, the glue is very, very good (be careful you are lined up when applying, no second chances!) and they have "Houselabels" printed on the back of each sheet so no more guessing which side to print on! Plus they do not curl up in my Canon S900 inkjet.
I am sure you can read in the title of this page that the listing is for HouseLabels own brand of labels, and they don't sell them through other retailers. Currently valuemailers is shown as having the lowest price, which is patently false (I buy shippers from valuemailers, but their shipping labels are junk). I don't understand why Amazon allows other sellers to co-list this item when they are not selling it.
