High Quality Suit

This is a beatifully made suit of fine materials at an unbelieveably good price. True quality. It fits my 46R husband beautifully. i told him it was a good looking suit but he ignored me until he saw a picture of himself in it and exclaimed, "That is a good looking suit! "Couldn't be happier. The tailoring was very good (a 46R fit me very nicely without alterations), the fabric is superb, and the customer service is very good. I've recommended this company to several people already. I'm very impressed.

This is a great suit, worth the price. Looks much more expensive. Many people have commented on it. The only negative is that one of the buttons is kinds loose on the pants. That's to be expected though, not everything is perfect...I'll take a loose button any day considering what other things could have gobe wrong. Again, great suit - worth the money!'

Highly Recommended - recommend, hardwood floor nailer

I'm doing a hardwood flooring with 5/8" thick mahogany solid wood on a

couple of rooms. Because the rooms are not flat (both have a couple of

steps) it took 8 days to finish the flooring and renting was as expensive

as buying one. (checked HomeDepot $35/day and another rental company $30/day)

It looks like Porter-Cable FCN200 seems to be very popular, but over $300

made me hesitant. I seriously considered Bostitch MFN200 Manual Flooring

Cleat Nailer, but after a lot of questions to Bostitch and a couple of

dealers, I found out that it can be used only fo 3/4" thick floorings.

So, I went with this pneumatic floor nailer.

I ordered the one that can be used for cleat nails only, but what I

received was for both cleat nails as well as staples, which was a nice

surprise. People said cleat nails would be more strong in terms of holding

the panels to the sub-floor and I ordered bostitch nails at amazon.

Shipping was pretty quick - delivered in 2 days from the order - and the

tools is very solid. 3-4 panels had the nails bent between the panel and

sub floor, maybe because the nailer was not placed correctly. Otherwise,

it worked pretty well.

It has several pad that can be used for different thickness of the

floorings, which was really good for me.

Overall, at this price, this cannot go wrong at all and much better

I just finished my hardwood flooring project using this nailer. It turned out fantastic. This nailer is solid and durable and during the installation of about 1200 sqft, never had a single issue of any kind.

I got this instead of renting one from a local improvement store. I knew I would spend more renting given my time constraints. I used it to lay about 200 square feet of red oak. I had two misfires, but they were my fault. I ran through 1600+ nails without a jam otherwise. The build quality is not the same as the $4-500 name brand units, but it's not bad, and for me it doesn't matter how the nail gets into the board as long is it gets there. The depth in red oak was perfect, I only hand set a couple where the angle was getting awkward in a corner, and I couldn't strike the head properly.

It was leaking air at first, but tightening down the bolts with the supplied wrench took care of that (several tools are supplied). There were no torque values indicated, so I used "common sense" torque to avoid warping anything. The shoe on the bottom is maybe not perfectly square, but it was never an issue. It would probably benefit from forcing on a bicycle handle grip for comfort, mine was wrapped in a foam tape.

I intend to use this tool for two more rooms, and I feel like it was a good value. It paid for itself in the first room for me, but again, I had only a couple hours per day window to work. I would recommend this item to anyone who wants to take their time without rushing a rental clock. It performed as expected, no complaints. I used 2" Bostitch L nails, but it can handle staples as well.

No problems with the order, the shipping was quick, everything was included.

4 stars instead of 5 due to build quality imperfections, having to tighten up bolts which should have been tested at the factory.

I just received the nailer and used it for the first time this weekend to install 5/8" T&G Bamboo flooring in my son's kitchen. What I received was the dual staple/cleat nailer. After putting on the right foot plate, it comes with 2, I test fired a 2" cleat nail and found it to be too long and risked tearing off the tongue of the flooring board. I went looking for 1 1/2 inch cleat nails locally & when I couldn't find anything but the 2" size, I purchased 1 1/2" staple. I loaded the nailer with the stapes and started the job. The nailer worked great! You need to test fire a few staples to get the right air pressure and tune you "strike" force, but after that it was effortless. I had used a manual nailer previously to install about 500 sq. feet of oak flooring and there is no comparison. The Bamboo was about twice as dense as the oak and using the pneumatic nailer, the bamboo went down at least twice as fast and with less pain! The thing you want to be careful with when nailing down dense Bamboo is that it is so dense and if you are close to the end of the board or edge, you will split it. Pre-drill for yore first 2 rows and the use the nailer. Instead of nails for the first 2 rows, I opted for 1 1/2" headless screws (you can get these at any home store). They worked great & you don't have to worry about dimpling if you use a nail & miss. I'm not done with the project yet, but so far I recommend the nailer whole heartily.

I am a wood-turner that until now has never installed hardwood floors. I had the occasion to help with an installation at a dance studio and decided from that to install a hardwood floor on an addition I had planned. While searching for a pneumatic floor nailer I found this one, and after reading the reviews decided to give it a try. I was happy I did. It performed much better than the one we used for the studio and at a portion of the cost. I would like to also mention the delivery time was great. I saved more than what it would have cost me to rent one for the job and I have it to help friends and family. What a deal.

I'm not sure what I was expecting at half the price of a name brand competitor, but when it came with a carrying case with a spare base plate I was already impressed. The nailer worked flawlessly and is solidly constructed. The bottom plate is slightly longer than other floor nailers I've used so you may have to hand nail an extra row of flooring to get started, but otherwise it's well worth the money. - Recommend - Hardwood Floor Nailer - Highly Recommended - Pneumatic'

Nook Screen Protector - nook color cover, nook cover

One of the best easel type cases I've seen, this fits the nook color perfectly, really feels nice under the fingers, props up the reader securely (with a lot of useful variations on the screen angle depending on how you're sitting, etc.), and seems quite tough. Even on the long spans around the edge of the screen, it lays flat and doesn't have an annoying gap. The nook is also quite well protected, and that goes to my only quibble: this case more than doubles the thickness of the nook color. Still thin enough that it doesn't matter to me since I just chuck it in a backpack, but it might to you if you're trying to squeeze your e-reader in a small purse or other "space constrained" spot.

After having it for a week, I haven't even wanted to take it off to try out the skin that I bought at the same time, which is significant. I will install an anti-glare screen protector, but that's more for readability in varied conditions than anything else.

With a couple tweaks, this could be a fantastic case, however are some deficits that disallow me from liking it too much.

The pros:

- Easel style for propping up on table, lap, whatever...big selling point.

- Construction seems solid, and the bulk makes for feeling like it will offer some protection.

- Holds nook nice and snug

- good access to controls/usb

Cons:

- no speaker hole. C'mon now...the ribbon that attaches to the stand could have been stitched closer to the base and offered plenty of clearance. Disappointing.

- Corners are not protected.

- Opening towards the bottom is awkward, which then makes the little pocket pretty useless since it's now upside down.

I bought this item base on reviews. I'm not sure if I would of I was able to hold it first.

I have to admit, it does fit perfect leaving sufficient room for headphones and power/sync cable, BUT . . . The speaker holes are totally muffled. A few vent holes in the back would have make it perfect, but to compound things, the area is also padded entirely further muffling the audio. This doesn't matter for pure reading, but for audio playback and video viewing, it really makes it difficult. Thinking about slicing out a small wedge of padding, but . . . not sure it will cure anything.

After having searched for a case which would hold my nookcolor, I decided on the black rooCASE. My nook fits it perfectly and all of the buttons are accessible. I also like that this case allows me to view my nook at different angles without using my hands or other items to prop it up.

That was my only complaint - I had to take it out of the case to hear a children's story. Everything seems just right, and the other complaints all seem to have been addressed: additional flap to hold it in the case; stronger magnet to keep it closed; delay in shipping. I got it very quickly - it was sent the day it was listed as being in stock. The easel does need to be finessed into standing properly, but it works. I'm still debating returning it, though, because of the lack of a speaker hole. I don't see how I could cut a hole in it myself with the layers and padding.

I like it!

It's cheap, has a few functions other than being a protective case and does the job.

Initially my wife purchased a case for me that completely encased the NookColor. While it kept it cozy and warm, it wasn't very practical.

This case has (almost) everything I need.

1. It protects the NookColor and fits well.

2. It allows for charging while in the case.

3. It has an integrated and adjustable stand for hands off viewing.

4. It looks and feels sturdy. Have had it for well over a month now and it looks new.

The problems?

The integrated stand, while good, isn't great, it sometimes slips due to the design and smoothness of the ridges that it uses to hold it up. (That is more than made up for by the "adjustable" part of the stand. You can adjust the angle of view.)

When attempting to insert the cable to charge the NookColor the unit slides up and it is difficult without holding the other side, which can be a tad akward.

What I'd like to see:

A viewable screen while in the case.

Something to keep the case from sliding up when attaching the charging cable.

A horizontal stand along with the vertical stand.

Bottom Line:

It does the job and does it fairly well, and especially well at the price.

I would be willing to pay a bit more for the etra features but this is a win-win for the price.

I found this cover by accident. I had just bought a Nook Color and took a free course at Barnes and Noble. I sat next to a woman who had this cover and I loved the way it sat up for reading. I returned the one I bought from Barnes and Noble and bought the Roo from Amazon. It was actually cheaper than the one I returned !

I was surprised that a cover not sold by Barnes and Noble would fit my Nook Color, but it does and it holds its shape !

Accessories - ipod watch, ipod nano

I have decided to review this product, since there are no other reviews worth reading, and since it is actually a fairly good buy. The choice can be difficult, because on average this product is more expensive than the other running docks for your ipod.

Firstly, let me say that I have only had mine for a day. I have the 6th Gen Nano. So, I cannot give any feedback at this stage regarding how this product will wear. I will try to remember to return in a month or two's time and post an update. Also, time from buy to receive was about a week, so I cant identify with the other comment about the lack of shipping.

- The product looks good, and is essentially exactly how it looks in the photo. The Nano fits pretty much perfectly. However, if you have a silicone cover on your nano it will NOT fit.

- It is easy to get the nano in and out, and because of the clip on the nano, when its in, it is secure, and therefore wont fall off the watch. This means its not the kind of "cover" where once its in, its in forever.

- The screen of the nano can be easily rotated to have the clock face, and the menu etc interface in the orientation you desire.

- The headphone jack of the nano points UP YOU ARM when the ipod is docked. I find this to be quite convenient as I use mine for running, and therefore want the cable pointing up my arm

- NB one: The docking platform between the two straps is PLASTIC (not metal). I believe this will have pro's and con's, given that plastic will wear better with the sweat, but may not last as long. Potential concern here. However, the plastic does appear sturdy, so will let you know how it goes.

- The size of the watch strap, and the holes make it possible to fit almost all size arms. I am a fairly big guy, and it fits me comfortably. However, if you have mammoth wrists, you may run into trouble.

Post comments, and I will try to answer them. All in all, a good product that is (imho) freaking cool.

UPDATE: March 10:

I have been using the product for about a month and a half. I used a small file to round the edges of the platic platform onto which the ipod attaches, as they were quite sharp and snagged on sweaters etc. My ipod fits snuggly into the platform, and doesn't move around. The plastic platform still looks good.

The silicone straps dont show any signs of wear yet, and I use my strap principally for running, so the straps receives a lot of sweat. Btw, if you use for running, get yourself a set of these babies: Sennheiser Adidas PMX 680 Sports Earbud Headphone with Volume control & Neckband. I had always thought that a small mp3 player could always be worn best on the wrist. Clipping it to a band or cuffing it to your bicep wasn't always the most comfortable, secure fit. Obviously, the market wasn't out there for this idea until the 6G Ipod Nano came along. Before, the small size pretty much limited the total song capacity to about two, and there was no option to securely fasten the player to the wrist anyway- they were still too bulky.

This Nano, with its optional clock display-was made for this wristband (and vice versa). I got this watchband as a gift for my wife after getting her the Ipod for Christmas. The fit is tight and secure. The instructions are nonexistent- if you need to adjust the bands to facilitate positioning the Ipod (to not only display correctly but to have the headphone jack positioned correctly as well, you will have to study the pieces and intuit what needs to be done. Not a problem for me- but I am smart:)

In the end, with a little extra effort on my part swapping the bands around- this turned into an appreciated gift. My wife wears the Ipod daily as a watch. All that is needed is to plug in the headphones and the Ipod reverts back to its original purpose- only secured to the wrist (the headphones are positioned to run up inside shirt sleeves, helping to keep the cords from flaying around wildly when working out).

So yes, this is a very good product. No instructions in this case won't merit a mark down because any adjustments are easy to figure out and don't require extra parts/tools to accomplish. Once adjusted (and this may not be necessary for you) this watchband is well-made and obviously manufactured to fit the Ipod securely and attractively. This product complements the Ipod so well I expect Apple will come out with something similar to it, soon.

The part that holds the nano is flimsy and poorly made.

Problem one: very rough edge that hangs out beyond the nano.

Problem two: the whole band depends on one very thin piece of plastic underneath the nano. The piece broke after about 2 months of daily use.

Droid Stand - body glove, droid

When I first got the case, I was really happy with it. It really secures the phone, gives it a heavier, more secure feel, and I felt better about shoving the phone in my pocket without worrying about it. It also alleviated the problem I was having with the droid's battery cover coming off in my pocket which was very annoying. There are also nice cutouts for the speaker, camera, charger, etc, and the phone slides open and closed with no problem. I really liked it at first.

Since then, though, there are two problems that are really bothering me about it.

First, it's very hard to get off and on. I've had to take the back cover off to reset my phone a couple of times during lock ups, and the braces that snap around the phone are *so* tight, that they can slide in to the cracks of the phone itself causing the plastic of the phone to split apart and nearly tear the phone open. That was terrifying.

Secondly, it's not compatible with the multimedia dock. So you have to take the stupid thing off and on whenever you want to dock your phone. That. Sucks. Coupled with the problem above, you have a nightmare scenario. Not only do I feel like I'm going to break my phone whenever I try to take the case off, but I HAVE to take the case off to dock it. UGH.

I am looking for a replacement case that I don't have to remove to dock. Body Glove Glove Snap-On Case for A855 Motorola Droid (Black)

I have dry hands so I need a case with some tackiness especially with such an expensive phone as the Droid. I tried the plastic/leather case from Verizon but it was still too slippery. The body glove allows good gripping without being TOO tacky which interferes with the phone going in and out of your pocket. The body glove on the left side of the touchscreen is not fully attached because of the slide out keyboard but that is acceptable. Also the case doesn't seem to protect around the screen quite as well as the bottom and sides but that is also acceptable. Rugged case is very good quality. Case looks nice, better than in the pictures.

I have owned two Body Glove Hard Snap-On Covers for my Motorola Droid.

The GOOD: I really liked the texture of the Body Glove case--the slightly rubberized, gripped feel is comfortable to the hands, easy to hold, not slippery at all, and its slight give/rebound made me feel confident that I was getting the maximum drop protection. Another cool feature is the ability to swap out a belt clip knob attachment in the back, although the case has to be removed from the Droid to do this. The belt clip itself even has a stand that pops out so you can remove the whole thing from your belt and just stand it up on your desk (although I didn't realize this for a very long time--thought the belt clip was just really bulky--oops).

The BAD: It's bulky. Really bulky. This is the case equivalent of football pads for your Droid.

The WORSE: It looks cheaply made, and it definitely seems to be. After a week or two I started to notice a lot of wear on the case. Seams where two different kinds of plastic (softer outer layer/coating, harder inner layer, or snap-on tabs) join together were the worst, especially at the corners of the case--the different types of plastic seem to want to come apart, almost as if the surfaces at the seam degrade and wear away from one another. Pieces of the softer outer layer begin to flake off at the seams and corners, and there were parts of the case where they were already seeming to do this before I removed it from its packaging.

In addition, the left side of the front cover (bottom when the keyboard is slid out) is indented a bit to give you more room to reach the top row of keys on the keyboard when it's open, but this makes it too weak--it flexes and bends a LOT with just the slightest pressure.

The WORST: the snap-on tabs are total crap in every way. They are so large they only just barely allow the Droid keyboard to slide open and closed, and they leave marks on the back of the screen part of the phone from the friction of sliding open.

Even worse, after about a month (on the first Body Glove case I had) or two (on my second Body Glove case) the snap-on tabs begin to crumble or break off, one right after another, all at once, until they won't stay on the phone. Granted, I kept the phone in my hip pocket all the time, but it's still inexcusable. Got my first case replaced, demanded and got a refund on the second one. Also, I only (carefully!) removed the Droid from the case once or twice (it's also very hard to take this case off of the phone) during the (short) life of each case, so the problem wasn't excessive wear to the tabs from daily or more often removal of the case from the phone. It's just a cheap, shoddy product.

The VERDICT: DON'T BUY THIS! There were some good ideas in the design, but this is overpriced and very, very poorly made.

If you want an awesome case that's way slimmer, better made, much, much more durable, easier to remove and put on, AND cheaper, I recommend the Seidio Innocase--I have a black one now, and I love it. - Body Glove - Droid - Motorola - Case'

Acoustic Research - wireless, wireless speaker

It's not pretty. The sound is not great. But it does what I wanted it to: gets sound from my living room receiver into the kitchen.

Setup is very easy. Everything you could need to connect is included. The unit tunes automatically so there is no fussing with a tuning knob. The auto-tuning is quick and effective.

As promised, the transmitter is compatible with my AW-721 cordless headphones. I now have both transmitters connected to my receiver. (It doesn't seem to help with static but why not.)

In general the signal seems to come through with little interference. The sound is slightly distorted, something I had noticed with the headphones also. It is also overall somewhat tinny. It is hard to say whether that is from the transmission or the just all-right speaker.

One nice feature they don't advertise: if you buy the eight (!) C batteries needed to make this truly portable, you can charge them in the unit. (If you buy NiCad or NiMH batteries- try www.thomas-distributing.com)

Like one of the other reviewers, I use this speaker primarily to listen to Streaming Internet Baseball broadcasts in my yard, while safely keeping my computer indoors. The range is excellent, and it puts out plenty of volume. I'm not sure I'd recommend it for audiophile listening, but the sound is definitely as good as a decent radio or boombox. Plus, the price from Amazon is unbeatable -- Best Buy sells the same thing for over $100! This is a fine product that performs exactly as advertised.

Another discovery I made recently is that the type of audio source you have attached to the antenna makes a big difference as well. For example, I had to use my tweaks below to make the unit sound good with an iPod Nano (one I found the right channel, it worked great). However, a Sony PSP will produce a good signal right from the start. From my computer, I had to do the tweaks. From my stereo, I had a good signal right off the bat. So, also try playing with different audio sources and see what your results are.

Initially, I had problems getting this unit to work (this may have been because my unit didn't ship with instructions). Like many previous reviewers, I either got no sound at all or couldn't get reception very far away from the transmitter -- and when I did, it was full of static. But, after a little trial and error, I have it working great and I must say it sounds pretty darn good.

One important thing I've discovered is not to plug the speaker in and/or turn it on until you have the transmitter hooked up to your audio source and the blue "Level" light is displaying on the front. Once you do, turn the speaker on and see if you can get good reception. From what I have read, for some people, the unit works right off the bat and sounds great. If you have a solid green light on the front of your speaker and the sound quality works for you, then consider yourself blessed -- you are good to go. But if, like me, you do have a lot of static or no sound at all, try the following fixes:

1. Play with different channel settings on the back of the transmitter; there are only three, and one of them should produce a stronger signal than the other two. Find the strongest signal to your speaker and leave it there. DO NOT FORGET to turn the speaker off and on again after each time you change channels on the transmitter! Yes, running back & forth from the transmitter to the speaker is a hassle, but it's critical that you do this or you'll have trouble getting a green light on the front of the speaker instead of a red light. In fact, I don't think the next fixes will make any difference if your speaker has a red light with no sound at all -- so it's imperative that you get SOME type of reception (even if it's intermittently blinking green/red) before you try the next two steps.

2. Try raising/lowering the transmitter and the speaker itself. For some reason, my transmitter works better when it's behind my stereo. You would think that the higher the transmitter, the better the signal, but this hasn't been the case with me. Additionally, I found that when the speaker is underneath certain things like a wrought iron table, you might get more interference than you would if the speaker was on top of said table, or underneath something like a wooden bench.

3. Once you do get reception, try adjusting the level on the transmitter and volume on both the audio source and speaker unit. From where I am transmitting, my speaker reception is best when I have the transmitter level at about 50%, the volume on the audio source at about 35%, and the volume on the speaker at 100% (you can always turn the speaker down using the volume control on the speaker itself if you don't want it so loud, which is a nice feature). You won't knock down any buildings with wall of sound at these settings, but for me the reception is crisp and the treble/bass sounds very good.

I hope this info is helpful and saves you a little frustration, because it really is a nice little unit. I'd be interested to any additional tips/suggestions you may have.

If you can get one of these speakers that works you're in luck. The sound is o.k. for the product type. In my case I bought a pair(they must be purchased individually and although each comes with a transmitter, only one is required for a pair) but only one worked properly. Got a prompt replacement speaker from Amazon but this one wouldn't even turn on. A call to the manufacturer revealed that the maker (Recoton)went bankrupt and the customer service rep for the firm that bought them out as much as admitted that the speaker is junk ("we get calls about them all the time").
