Doorbell Extension - doorbell, wireless doorbell

We added on to the house, and couldn't hear the existing doorbell from the new addition.

This great product adds a second, battery powered ringer triggered by a new, included lighted button.

Simply replace your old doorbell button with the new one (TURN OFF THE POWER FIRST!). It's powered by the existing doorbell circuit.

Next, install three AA batteries in the new remote bell unit.

PRESTO! the button rings both your old bell and the new, battery powered one!

You can mount the new bell on a wall, or leave it out where you can get to it and take it with you if you are out gardening or working in the garage so you never miss the doorbell!

And, its CHEAP! I think I paid $14, and the new button is better looking than my old one.

I've had difficulty hearing the doorbell in our home when working in a back room office. This doorbell extender has made all the difference in the world. I had missed several visitors and now I hear every time the doorbell rings. The only thing that could improve this product is having more than one remote bell available to use from the same doorbell button.

I only paid $4.49 each for these. I bought 3, HOPING that the one button would work on all three receivers -- IT DOESN'T (in case you're thinking of trying the same.)

My only complaint with the unit is that the battery cover on the receiver uses screws. Seems to me a simple snap on cover would have sufficed and made changing the batteries that much easier.

The chime is DING DING DONG. (high high low) A push button changes the loudness.

The holes for the screws to the door button is offset and didn't line up with the existing holes for the old button. Again, you'd think they could engineer that a bit better, and my button is installed on brick, so I didn't want to drill yet another hole. But it comes with a fitted double-sided sticky pad which you can use instead of the screws. I used both -- the pad helps keep it in place and I used the top screw to ensure it stays on the house.

I was really happy with this purchase. The seller was great (speedy shipping) and the item was excellent. I'm 5'5" and it had alittle extra length in the legs, so if you're tall it should fit perfectly. Plus it's soft...rather than some of the itchier variety of fishnets or if you have sensitive skin...and it stood up to hand washing. Great buy! I received this and at first I was like wow, that is too cute. But in just 3 hours, it had 4 holes. Of course after buying many of fishnet outfits I know to be very cautious because fishnet snags so easily but this one was too easy to snag. but i will say that it is very cute though. You wouldn't really look forward to a fishnet lasting a long time anyway. Another thing too is that the collar which is lace and very pretty, doesn't stay flat, it draws up a little bit. I am very short and pretty curvy and it fit me well so I wouldn't worry about it being one size fits all. All in all it's an alright outfit. As far as attractive, I give it a 4. And as far as durability I give it a 2.

I ordered this to go under my red halter sheer baby doll. I was worried about the size but it fit with no problem and I'm a 2x.

Windshield Mount - iphone mount, car mount

I like this item. The good reviews for this item are warranted, but it isn't without flaws, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars and not 4 or 5. The overall construction of this item is good. The lever for the suction cup makes it easy for it to stick to your windshield. The platform swivels so you can adjust the angle or use it in either portrait or landscape mode. The little arms that hold the phone have a little foam on them, so they really hold the phone in place. They are also adjustable so that they can be moved to better suit your needs. Unfortunately, the arms can only be placed on what would be the top or the bottom of the phone and not the sides.

I bought this item to use with my iPhone 4G's TomTom GPS app, so I basically use this in landscape mode. I have a long commute, so I need to have my phone plugged in, which would not be a problem if I didn't also use my phone to make hands free calls. The little foam arms either block the center (where I plug the phone) or the bottom corners (where the phone has the speaker/microphone). It would be great if the arms could be place along the sides of the phone, but they can't be; until then, the item will only get three stars from me.

If you do not intend to use your iPhone as I do, do not think twice about buying this item though. Aside from the above-mentioned problem, this mount is great Arkon IPM515 Windshield/Dashboard Mount with Slim-Grip Phone Holder--Compatible with iPhone 4

I have an Iphone 4 with the Incipico case. The suction cup is super strong. The mount is very well made. It holds the phone in place very well with adjustable pegs that have rubber pads that made contact with the device. It holds the phone in place very well. So if you have a truck that bounces around, this is the mount for you. Getting the phone in and out is a two hand operation. There is room for the headphones to be plugged in and a power adaptor. You can rotate the mount to verticle or horrizontal with our without the phone in place.

My main concern when I was looking to buy a windshield mount I wanted it to be slim and VERY secure. This meets and excels my expectation. Very slim and very secure. People said it was too tight and couldn't fit with a case but I didn't experience that. Both my husband and I have the iPhone 4s. He has a bumper and I have a case and it worked great with both. The only "issue" I experienced was that the prong that holds the phone in place would accidentally lock my phone. But I just moved the prongs a little and that fixed the issue. Wish I needed another one so I could buy another one!

I had a Griffin windshield mount for my iPhone 3G. I thought that was pretty good, but it had a problem of shaking a lot with the multi-segment arm. I worried that this wouldn't provide the flexibility to position the phone where I needed it. I was wrong. This keeps it stable, holds it very tight, and allows me to position the phone perfectly.

In short: Grips the windshield well, has plenty of flexibility to position the phone, holds the phone steady and is a good sturdy build. It's pretty compact too.

One point to note, as have other reviewers, pay no attention to the grip positions in the photos. Keep the top two "fingers" in the middle to clear the power button and headphone socket, and spread the bottom two apart to make room for the power cable. It still grips the phone perfectly tightly.

Highly recommended. A great accessory.

I've always been VERY iffy about any suction cup devices that stick to the windshield due to my past experiences with TomTom suction cups (just HORRIBLE). I was expecting this to be similar, and constantly fall off the windshield, but decided to give it a shot. I have to say this product is GREAT! The first time I used it, I cleaned my windshield, then put it on, and snapped the clip so it would stick like you're suppose to do. The first time I started driving with my iPhone 4 up in it, I was VERY nervous, I don't like waiting for my phone to go flying off the windshield while im driving on the interstate at 70+mph and me freak out while doing it. But this product has YET to come off the windshield after using it every day for over a month.

As far as people saying that it blocks the ports on the phone, yes it does.....but thats why the little black things at the top and bottom move. You just have to slide them a little more toward the middle of the phone and you're good to go! Cables will fit in the headphone hack and the charging port after adjusting it which is VERY easy to do. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a holder that will not fall of your windshield while driving sending your phone flying into your dash and possibly breaking the glass. Arkon did a great job with this product!

This product is great! The suction cup is very strong and does not come loose from the windshield. The "legs" that hold the phone in the device slide left/right to avoid buttons. At first the positioning of the legs was such that it would push in the iPhone power switch and it kept activating the "Slide to power off" screen. By sliding the leg the situation was remedied! This device also fits my girlfriend's HTC Droid Incredible perfectly! The device is spring loaded and adjusts to the height of the phone. I'm pretty confident most new smart phones would fit great in here. Lithium Ion - 18v, lithium ion

I bought my nano batteries and chargers from a local supplier who had them on sale for $99 which included 1 battery & 1 charger. I bought 3 sets. Definitely worth the money.

These batteries definitely last about 75% longer than a ni-cad and lightens up my tool tray (especially when carrying 3 batteries).

When drilling or cutting overhead, there is a noticable lighter tool feel.

My 18V Dewalt impact driver now weighs the same as my Hitachi 9.6 ni-cad impact driver.

You don't have to keep track of which batteries are at what level of charge because you can always top these off during lunch and at the end of the day.

I'm a plumbing contractor and was able to rough in a steel framed house without dragging out any cords. This house has 7 bathrooms in it.

All I used was 2 drills, 1 recip saw, 1 impact driver, 3 nano batteries, and 1 nicad battery. I had to drill holes anywhere from 1 3/8" all the way up to 4 5/8".

Honestly, I don't give a rats a$$ about the fitment difference between the ni-cad and lithium-ion. Once you start using the tool, you don't even notice it. Talk about being prissy when you are worried about looks.

The different shaped batteries allow me to immediately differentiate between the lithium-ion and the ni-cads. Being that the lithium-ions are smaller, they take up less space in my tool tray also. DEWALT DC9180C 18-Volt Battery Pack/Charger

I got mine off the 'net at [...]. It works great! A good deal lighter and longer lasting with a interchangable charger that works with older batteries....but new battery will not charge in older chargers so make sure to get the charger.

However. The slight "form factor" dissonance mentioned in other review isn't to my eyes too much of a problem at least on the 6 and half inch circular saw. Or on the finish gun that got me into Dewalt in the first place. Some change of shape is needed to keep the batteries sorted. Considering the price though...that even a 36 volt battery is cheaper...now that's the rub! Glad, though that dewalt followed Ryobi's example and not changed the formfactor so much that new tools would have to purchased...although I heard that there are problems with ryobi's new line....well, it is ryobi! Now, Milwaukee might be as good ...but so damned ugly and hard to handle...who cares?

The most annoying problem with the NiCad batteries is their inability to hold their charge over an extended period of time.

The "Nano" battery does not seem to have that problem. Although quite expensive, it is worth the xtra expense to be able to use the tool after a couple weeks of "down time' with out having to recharge.

This battery pack lasts about 2-3x longer than my current XRP batteries do(and the XRP's last a long time), it is also a little more than one pound lighter than the old batteries which really helps on those long days and when drilling overhead or with your weak hand (for me its left). another nice feature is that the charger is backwards compatible, it works with the old Nicd bateries. The only minor complaint that I have is that the engineers at DeWalt did a horrible job designing the pack, I mean what is the purpose of beveling the bottom edges???? Its only for style and its contributes to the drill's willingness to tip when used with NANO batteries(the XRPs have NO bevel which equals better stability), and IF the beveled edges are a necessity, then they could have put on some rubber overmold or something to help stability. However, if you don't stand your drill up much then it works just fine, I now have a holster I carry mine in(when it won't stay put on the ladder/skylift), works so much better. Overall the performance exceeds the XRPs by quite a bit, if you do alot of overhead drilling then this is a must or if you just don't like charging batteries.

I have been using this battery interchangeably with the standard XRP batteries with my 18 volt DeWalt tools. I use it mostly in my impact driver and my 4-1/2" "cut off tool" (grinder). I appreciate the weight reduction and the slightly different profile doesn't bother me at all. If anything it is a positive feature because it makes it easy to identify what battery you are using at the moment. With the Lithium battery the tool works at full power and then when it runs out of juice it just stops and won't even attempt to start. You would think your tool broke if you were using a Ni Cad battery and that happened. The first time it did that I couldn't figure it out. It made no indication that it was running low, unlike a Ni-Cad. Being able to glance down and due to its different profile, determine that it is a Lithium battery relieves that moment of panic. I don't purchase tools or batteries based on their looks. I can't fault the way these things work. They are great.

Charger works well, charges batteries in under 1 hour. I was impressed with the performance of the lithium ion battery. I noticed an increase in power, exteded run time, and consistant power output. Very glad I switched to LI. Charger also charges my current nicads as well.

Imagine all the times you reach for your DeWalt drill/light/trimsaw to do a 5 minute job and realize you are a couple watts short and have to recharge. Now re-imagine those same situations where your battery is still about the same charge as when you left it and you have ample power and a few extra minutes of your life back.

Those minutes add up, and they certainly cover the premium of switching at least a few of these guys into your battery rotation.

Yes they fit any 18V DeWalt you have, and yes the ornamental tool lip mating to the battery will stick out a little bit over the smaller form factor 18V Lions. Purely cosmetic - and most owners won't even notice.

Extra Bonus: It is noticeably lighter!

I bought the battery at a big box store 2 years ago to replace older worn out ni-cad batteries. I could live with the slight mismatch in shape with my old tools. It's also lighter than the old ni-cads. At first it was a huge improvement on the old ni-cad's which had been slowly losing capacity for a long time. After 2 years of occasionally heavy use the capacity is getting very bad. I'm not a professional, but I have used it heavily on some projects. Personal Transformation - self-help, life

Looking to our elders for guidance is a time honored and wise practice that unfortunately is not played out often enough. John Izzo encourages us to go back to that tradition in his book "The Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die." Seeking the secrets to happiness, it makes sense to look to those who have lived it.

John interviewed over 200 people, all over the age of 60 and some up into their hundreds, who had been identified by their own friends and family as "the one person they knew who had found happiness and meaning." These people were asked such questions as: "What has brought you the greatest sense of meaning and purpose in life?" and "What is the greatest fear at the end of life?" They were asked to finish the sentence: "I wish I had..." These elders came from all walks of life and acted many roles; some were authors, professors, or business owners, others were a nurse, psychologist, biologist, and a barber. Amazingly, or expectedly, their answers were quite similar. Therein are the five secrets.

The first, and only one I will divulge, is "Be True to Your Self." Of course this can mean different things to each person who reads the words, but author John Izzo guides readers to the purpose behind them. His guidance leads one to ask in this chapter, "Am I following my heart?" "Is my life focused on the things that really matter to me?" and "Am I being the person I want to be in this world?" Answering these questions will lead a person to be true to themselves. Izzo demonstrates the secret by sharing stories from his interviewees. They share by example, much as elders have done since the dawn of humanity. This brings the secret to life for us, and then Izzo gives us homework. He gives us questions to ask ourselves each day or week, that bring the secret home and to the front of the mind. Practice, practice, practice. And so on, with each of the five secrets.

This book is a gem. It is an obvious quest to go to our wise members of society and seek answers to life's questions, but many of us no longer do it. "The Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die" does it for us, and hopefully will prompt us to do it ourselves with our own elders. The stories here are all about living wisely, living in the moment; some are funny, while others are poignant. All should be thought-provoking. The consistency of the lessons makes for an easy to understand and digest plan. Taking one secret at a time to work on may be best for some people, pausing in the consumption of the book to work on that particular goal. Other may devour the entire book in one sitting and go back to reflect more carefully as they consider each message. The end result is surely one that will be self fulfilling and inspired. While the title may cause one to stop for a second, for good reason and cause, the content and purpose is wisdom. The Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die

John Izzo interviewed 200+ people over the age 60 who were described by many others as happy and wise people. Through in-depth interviews, he learns the five secrets of life:

4. The second secret: leave no regrets

5. The third secret: become love

6. The fourth secret: live the moment

7. The fifth secret: give more than you take

8. When you know you have to go (putting secrets into practice)

9. Preparing to die well: happy people are not afraid to die

10.A final lesson: it's never too late to live the secrets

Epilogue: How this book changed me

The author writes in conversational tone and supported his secrets with colorful anecdotes and personal reflections. For example, in the second secret (leave no regrets) Izzo states that in "his experience from the last 30 years, validated in these interviews, death is not what we fear the most. When we have lived life fully and done what we hoped to do, we can accept death with grace. What we fear most is not having lived to the fullest extent possible, to come to the end of our life with our final words being `I wish I had.'...to leave no regrets we must live with courage, moving toward what we want rather than away from what we fear."

While the 5 secrets aren't a surprise to many, there are many powerful insights in this book that leave you thinking. And while it's one thing to know the secrets, it's an entirely different (and more difficult) matter to put them into action.

What are the secrets to finding happiness and living wisely? 2. Live with no regrets. Regrets, Izzo said, are most persons' biggest fear--not dying itself. So mend fences, make peace, and move your life into a place of peace. The best way to live without regret, Izzo says, is to take chances, pursue those dreams, and accept the failure that might be your way. Rather than be crushed by failure, learn from it.

3. Become love. Love is not an emotion but a choice, a way of being that involves seeing ourselves and others with kindness and compassion. That love creates the opportunities to follow your bliss, heal hurts in yourself and others, and to find peace despite challenges and hardships.

4. Live in the moment. Right here right. That's all.

5. Give more than you take. Izzo explores that wonderful idea of finding yourself and then losing yourself. Once you identify your heart's desire and live your life pursuing it, the chance of accumulating any regrets is reduced. Once you become love, kindness itself becomes part of your purpose, and each moment offers all the joy of a lifetime. This creates an abundance of resources in the forms of love, trust, hope, joy, kindness, compassion. Draw from this deep well and give it away. Leave the campsite better than you found it, as one wise elder put it.

And then, as the saying goes, you will wake each day knowing it is a good day to die.

Hanging File Folder Bars - hanging folders, file

Not much to say about file folders, is there? I mean, they lasted all year (no tearing, some wearing), holding my students' classwork and various other paperwork. They seemed a bit expensive, but these days I order pretty much everything I need through Amazon for the convenience. Plus, now that I'm a Prime Member (best thing ever), I can think I need something, and actually have it within 2 days. Can't beat that. Smead Expandable Hanging File Pockets, Letter Size, 3-1/2-Inch-Capacity, Assorted Colors, 4 Pack (64290)

When I ordered this file pockets I thought that the concept was a good idea. File pockets that expand, yea that could work instead of the traditional pockets that, when they become over loaded, tend to bulge, lose their shape and fall off the file brackets.

Pro...they expand

Con...you have to place the files within the accordion like folds. You cannot just put a file in the pocket, you have to strategically place them in order for them to fit correctly.

I haven't actually expanded the file pockets to the maximum, so I don't know if doing so would fix the problem that I seem to have with them.

Other than that, they are file pockets. They hold files. That's what they do.

First of all, I wish the product page specified that these folders are made of cardboard. It only says it's made from 10% recycled material. I thought it was made of recycled plastic. I bought these because they are expandable and I store a lot of files. They are sturdy enough and having different colors is a plus in organizing. I would give it 5-stars because Smead is a good brand but the price is a bit steep, especially since it's only cardboard, just like any folder. - Office Supplies - File Folders - File - Hanging Folders'

Battery - bundle, rayovac

I keep these on hand all the time. I've replaced all my candles (tons and tons of candles) with flameless candles with timers (some with dual timers) that require 2 "C" batts each for 1,000-1,500 hours 'burn' time, depending on the style of 'candle'. I also have solar lanterns that hang from shepherd's hooks looped through my chain link fence Spring through Fall months that use "C"s.

Having said that, with this product, my burn time and brightness of the candles and lanterns last much longer than estimated by the manufacturers of those products (Candle Impressions), whether the candles are 'on' all the time or using them with the timers. The same holds true for the extended brightness of the stained glass (plastic) lanterns outside as compared to other C batteries I've tried in the past. They are wonderful for all those times I lose power here (and that's a lot) from wind, storms, rain, freezing rain and drizzle, snow, transformers blowing out, or sneezing. :)

I've also given the flameless candles as gifts to those who like the idea of eliminating the safety hazards of real candles that must be carefully placed and watched in their homes and always include these batteries with the gift.

Can't go wrong. I monitor this product regularly and pick it up when on sale so I never run out. Reliable, long lasting, dependable, good value. Can't go wrong. Rayovac ALC-12 UltraPRO Alkaline C Batteries, 12-Pack

I guess you get what you pay for. Yes, it's a decent price for a bundle of batteries, but I've found -- after twice using a pair of them in low-drain electronic weather stations and rarely used remotes -- that they're exhausted WAY too quickly. I'll stick to the copper top!

We use these batteries in candles for our windows. This is our second order and so far none of these has leaked and they last as long or longer than any other batteries that we've tried. We've used cheaper batteries, but found leakage to be a problem.

Are these the best batteries? No. I wouldn't use them in kids toys because I hate replacing batteries constantly. These are great for our Delta touch2O sink and other applications that don't suck up the juice.

I skeptically bought these a year ago because they were inexpensive compared to the major brands. Well, 12 months later they are still going strong in a pair of wireless speakers that get a fair amount of use. I'm buying another package.

These guys have been powering a juice hog of a super-toy from Christmas that has gotten quite a lot of use. I've been surprised I haven't had to replace them earlier. Can't beat that when relying on a battery.

I bought these for 6 battery operated flickering candles in my front windows. They have been burning for about 12 hours each night for about 3 weeks and still going strong. also, importantly, best price around.

Used these batteries in flashlights that we bought for our kids. The batteries didn't last 24 hours in them before they needed to be replaced.
