Portable Speakers - portable speakers, outdoor wireless speakers
Works right out of the box. Hooked it up to my cable box inside the house, applied power, extended antenna. Installed batteries (8 C cells.)Pressed the on button. It does thump twice. Once on turn on then again when base comes on. It lights up blue so you can find it in the dark. Large volume knob on top. Water repellent. There are no treble or base controls. However it has very good balanced natural sound. The sound is great AND LOUD! No distortion, or static. I walked it 80ft to the far end of my property and still worked fine. The inside unit is light weight. The outside unit with batteries is a good weight and won't blow away in the wind. I use it on my swim spa. It gets splashed but still keeps working. I have run it for 2 hours on batteries and it never distorted. Don't know how long the batteries last. It doe come with a 12v supply for the outside and inside units. Or both will operate on batteries. Avtek NXG Technology Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Speaker System
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I have been waiting for this for 3 years. I tried rock speakers for my backyard, terrible I've tried other products and nothing worked until now. This system is perfect for outdoors. Nice sound bass, treble and just down right good sound the music does not fade or go in or out it's stays perfect . The sound is incredible. I have playing my iPod for the last 3 hours and i am in aw! Thank you nag you have ma life complete now, lol! Nothing like a man and his music relaxing in the backyard. Trust me you Will not be disappointed purchasing can't wait till tonight when blue light on the speakers will give a nice abidance in my yard.
Mediocre is probably the best word to describe everything about this item, but on the plus side it is a lot cheaper than it's competitors.
When plugged directly into a sound source the speaker quality is pretty average. When you use it with the wireless FM transmitter the sound quality gets worse. With a little tweaking of the volume and equalization from the transmitting source you can improve the sound quality some but it will never be as clear as if it were directly plugged in. Don't expect to be able to crank it loud, the bass makes it sound awful.
If you want a quiet little speaker for out on the deck and don't plan on moving it much, this will probably work. If you want to be able to use it for loud parties or frequently move it and use multiple audio sources, then I would plan on spending more money for something of better quality.
Ok....so first off understand that this is not a pair of speakers...it is one speaker along with a single transmitter. The two together make up the pair as it's listed.
That said a pair really isn't necessary as the volume and sound of the one is more than adequate. Now if you are one of those people who are looking for premium sound at a bargin price then you are looking in the wrong place. If you are looking for decent sound at a decent price then this will work just fine for you.
The set up is way easy and operating the system is even easier. I have mine on my deck which is 10 x 15 and I can easily hear it no matter where I sit, in fact I can hear it clearly any where in my yard (which isn't exactly small) to the furtherest point and that's having the volume only half way up with my AC unit running.
I am powering it using the AC adapter so I can't say how well it performs on batteries but I can imagine it performs just as well.
So lastly, if you are looking for a wireless speaker for entertaining a deck/patio party you will enjoy this...if you are looking to entertain/impress the entire neighborhood like those people who ride around in those rolling entertainment centers they call cars then look elsewhere.
Oh and make sure you don't have your volume up too high on your music source as the sound will be crappy. Turn the source volume down and use the volume control on the speaker itself.
Pros: Good buy for the money. This unit has good sound quality and is easy to move around. It is very versatile with AC/DC functionality for both the transmitter and speakers.
Cons: The volume is adaquate for close distances but is not loud enough to cover a very large area.
This speaker is wonderful for the money. I looked all around what type of system to put out by my pool, and decided to give this a try versus going with the looka like rock speakers etc. My wife was soooo happy with this, and said it was the best present I gave her. It was easy to hookup and works great in conjunction with Pandora online radio. After all our friends saw it, I have had to order one for each of them! You can not adjust bass setting or treble settings, but if you are that picky go spend a few hundred on something nicer.
I really don't know how to start this, all too often we find it very easy to complain. However in this case I must tell you the service provided by (AV House and Nick) has been exceptional. I had a problem with this item and it's been corrected within hours. Definitely a good place to deal with, as they know how to provide customer service. J.A.Avena
To the point:
1. Portability, with good distance.
2. Steady sound and attractive.
Incorporate this with your Internet radio and your good to GO... (if you have a "portable" internet radio, you can charge it from the transmitter via USB and your radio will just keep on playing )))
I so enjoy being able to be outside around the house doing stuff, wash my car, and listen to non-stop music or a talk show of my choice.
But if you want good HiFi quality, this is not for you.
For the price I paid $37, I'm more than pleased for how it serves my purpose.
Quality seems to be good enough and I hope it will last a few years. - Portable Speakers - Outdoor Wireless Speaker - Outdoor Wireless Speakers - Wireless Speakers'
