I bought these at the same time as the polycarbonite Planer Pal, for fear that the plastic on the Planer Pal would not be true enough of a surface. I was right about the plastic. it was warped. The Big Horn jig was on the right track with a milled aluminum bar stock body, but the set I received had a couple of the magnets protruding ever so slightly from the bars, thus keeping the jig from laying flat on my jointer bed. I returnd the jig to Amazon and made myself a set of these instead:
