Outdoor Play - water table, toddler

i thought i was buying the next size up when i saw this box "previously opened and missing an umbrella" at a major chain toy store. it was $20 off and i knew you can use a regular beach umbrella, so i happily took it home! my 20 month old has been THRILLED and spent the entire weekend making sandcastles, having her little people slide and "go swimming", making mudpies and generally getting her tactile on. today i realized it was not the one i thought i was buying, but am still very happy. she will have plenty of room to grow with this sand/water table, and it is very durable. it may be too small for 8 year olds like the next size up, but she and several of her friends could fit around it for the next few years. it does not have the bells and whistles of other tables with the attached funnels, gears and such, but those are things we can bring to the table. i like that on its own, this table is just a place to use imagination and those extra toys aren't fixed. it has a drain stopper on both the sand and water sides, a roundabout water canal on one and a slide into a decent sized sand "mine" on the other. i didn't want a big sandbox, just enough for her to bury things and explore without sand getting in every fiber of her clothing, and this does the job perfectly. the cover is TIGHT and should keep everything out. we had to use our drill to make 8 leg holes (they are marked, but not drilled through) even though the instructions say "drill optional". i guess if you wanna manually screw through plastic you can go for it. overall assembly took about 20 minutes. the legs have two settings and we immediately used the highest setting. you can see the picture i posted for reference of a 32" 20 month old. Step2 Play Up Adjustable Sand & Water Table

Our 2 yr old dosen't enjoy this sand & water table as much as our old one, which had more interactive toys (water wheels, pitchers, & cups). The water side is on the small side, not much room to dip cups into. The frame is very sturdy & can grow with our children. We love that is has a lid, and it stays on even during major storms. Umbrella is made of very thin material but is large enough to cover almost entire table. Would be better used for just a sand table.

I purchased this water and sand table for my Grandson who just turned 3 in June. He has been out on the pourch each day if it is not raining or the temp's go over 92. He just uses it with the water and loves it. He will fill it up and then empty it again. He has so much fun with it. The fact that it came with a unbrella was another reason that I bought it. It also has adjustable legs so when Ryan gets a little taller he will still be able to play with it. When we bring Ryan in for the evening it is nice that we can put the cover one which was also included so that no animal that are in the neighborhood can come and plop themselves for the night in it. It is very easy to keep clean. I am very glad that I purchased it through Amazon. I was so surprised it came so fast after I placed the order. I will keep looking for more things to get from them. This water/sand table is well worth the money just for the pleasure of watching my Grandson play with it. If you purchase this item you will not be sorry.

Bought this for my granddaughters second birthday. Her mom did not want her to have a traditional sandbox because of sand in the diaper issues and the fear that cats would use it as a litter box. This toy eliminates both problems. The lid fits nice and tight stands up to Kansas winds. Ellia loves it. the first words out of her mouth when she gets home from the sitters is "Sandbox!"

We got this just the other day, and he absolutely loves it! It's easy to put together, the plugs on the bottom is a GREAT to empty out. The umbrella is a little too short, but my kid is tall for 3 so, that might have something to do with it, and the bridges have nothing holding them in the toy (when he drives his little cars over the bridge, it slips and his jeeps goes right in) But other than that great toy for learning, exploring and getting just plain messy!

My 3 year old son loves playing with his toys in the sand and water. The only downside is that the compartments are a little small. However, it does the job in providing lots of fun! We really like the adjustable height!

My granddaughter is 2 and she loves this toy, it has adjustable legs so it will grow with her. For the winter we put sand in both sides but intend to put water in is this spring. There are drains on both sides so it is easy to empty and move, the lid has straps on it that lock it down tight. I am confident that the straps will hold the lid against kids, animals and wind. I am confident that this toy will hold up for years.

My 3 year old loves to fill 1/2 with sand 1/2 with water (as inteneded) and then shoveling all of the sand into the water. This table keeps him occupied for at least 30-45 minutes. Sometimes he lets mom and dad help shovel the sand, sometimes he wants to do it all on his own. It is a pain to empty the water when the sand's covering the plug, but we manage. - Toddler - Water Table - Kids Outdoor Toys - Sand And Water Activity Center'
