External Sound Card - broke, audio
This adapter is not worth the money at all. Do not buy it. It has terrible audio replication, and has a dirty beeping noise that it sends through the output. Also, returning it is not an option because they would not refund my shipping, and wanted me to pay to ship it back. NOT WORTH IT!!! External 5.1 USB 3D Audio Sound Card Adapter for PC Desktop Notebook Laptop
If you're using this as an adapter to plug a headset into it to use in a USB port, don't waste your time or your money. Buy a genuine USB headset.. This thing is nothing more than a circuit board surrounded by a piece of cheap plastic. And forget about returning it -- they don't respond. So, try elsewhere and avoid this product! Not worth the .19 cents its priced at now.
we have ordered 2 of these. they sure are cheap and i quess thats what you pay for. only one side works so its mono. at least we can hear our computer. the second one was all scratcy and really bad. garbage.
I put one of these on each of two systems, they never worked just lit for a second then stopped. You could smell the board fry.
So afterword I opened them both up to find that there were bad solder joints making crossed circuits.
Apparently they make these so fast and cheap they don't bother to check their work or test them before packaging.
Pure crap.. thank god it was so cheap.
Worked for a week, cracking noises while listening/recording, and it is very large and unlikely that you would be able to fit multiple usb devices in a port near this thing while it is connected.
Quality ≤ Price
Make sure to keep everything so you can send it back.
This isn't a bad product at all, but the quality leaves something to be desired. It installs without a hitch, but the set volume on it is extremely high. It doesn't work with volume control buttons on my laptop, but that's to be expected with a new device. All in all, if you're paying less than five bucks, totally worth it instead of replacing a broken port.
I purchased this product twice within the last year. The first time I bought this, it lasted for about 9 months and worked well for all those months. However, something I contribute to the cheap pricing and build quality, it broke down relatively quickly. So, I ordered a second one from the same place, same price, same everything. After the first three days of use, I couldn't use it anymore. The feedback I was getting from it after plugging in my headphones was horrendous. It was impossible to hear anything without having to raise the volume of the computer to at least half-way. Because of the price; however, I am not too shell-shocked or wallet-bombed. I, however, won't be buying another sound card from this distributor again. I am thinking about buying the Syba model sound card which is listed on amazon for 8.99. Its a bit more expensive, but hopefully it lasts longer. - Audio - Broke - Bad Product - Usb'
