Screwdriver Sets - screwdrivers, mini screw bits
i spend a great chunk of my week working on laptops and to that end, need a good precision screwdriver set. i bought one (unknown brand) from a camera store about ten years ago that has been my 'go-to' set over the years, but as i get busier i need more sets around the shop and for my on-site bag. i've puchased a number of sets over the years only to have them fail nearly immediately (stripped tips every time) and really only purchased this set as a test. 6 months in and going strong and i've actually ordered 4 more sets for the shop because i've been so pleased.
the tips don't appear to be hardened (or magnetized) but have held up well so far. the case is nice and the entire set is amazingly lightweight. the drivers themselves are very easy to use with the swiveling, cupped, top being very comfortable and useful.
my only complaint so far is that they're actually TOO light. a little more weight would help with more difficult screws. that being said, i've only had to drop back to my old set twice in the last 6 months and both were on sony laptop drive carriage screws (which are notoriously tight).
well worth the money. Stanley 66-052 6-Piece Precision Screwdriver Set
These are great for repairing the screws that fall out of eyeglass frames or for small electronics that have screws on the battery compartments. I have also used on watches to pop open the backs or replace batteries. The case alone is worth the price.
These are a good set of precision drivers. The contoured grip makes these a breeze to use on projects with ridiculous amounts of screws. The only bad side is that the wide grip can be too bulky in tight spots, but the comfort is well worth the trade off.
I bought this toolkit to enable me to upgrade the RAM in my laptop. The toolks work splendidly. They look cheap but I don't think that matters: they function well enough to get the job done.
The container has little pop-in slots to hold the screwdrivers. You feel a satisfying 'click' when you push the screwdriver back into its designated location.
If you have a need for a small precision screwdriver set get this. The set is carefully packaged in a terrific case that is very well constructed. It gives you all of the right pieces and will be an excellent quality collection when you need to work small.
P1 and P0 tips are precise and reasonably tough, but the blade turns about 10 degrees in the handles under moderate torque. The flat blades all seem to be too thick for their width, compared with older Moody and General kits I use. The rubberized handles are thick enough to make turning very easy. As bargain tools these are adequate.
These screwdrivers are a great addition to any tool box. The tools themselves are well made, and the carry kit is a big plus. Nice to not have to chase small screwdrivers all over my precision tool kit.
I bought this to replace the same set. It was similar, but not as appeared in product photo. I'll upload a photo of what actually came. Basically the difference is just the case, but I loved the case before (the case in the main product photos). It had a durable plexi-glass type cover that would keep the drivers clean. Important for someone who travels with a tool bag, and does everything from construction, to computer repair. Now the new set will surely get covered in plaster dust, etc, and have to get cleaned out regularly. A small thing, yes, but how hard is it for a seller to upload a current photo?
And as far as the set goes, it's not all that 'precise'. 0-point and 1-point Phillips, and 1.4-mm, 2.0-mm, 2.4-mm and 3.0-mm are not very small if you have trouble visualizing those sizes. If you're thinking glasses repair kit size, you'll probably be surprised how large this set is. Quality-wise, it's okay. Not amazing. Made in China, which I didn't see noted anywhere.
This is a excellent set if you need small screw drivers. The screw drivers themselves have a nice shape and are easy to use. The case is tough, and bright yellow so its easy to spot on a messy workbench or in a drawer. I got this to work on robotics, but my dad got one because he was tired of using junkie 'eye glass repair kit' type screw drivers on his glasses. We are both happy.
Just what I needed, cheap and easy to find. They're strong and reasonable. I know they won't fall apart on me and the end's aren't dull. Phillips and Flat's. A good find for a good price. Quick to deliver, no problems with the provider and service. Thank you - Mini Screw Bits - Screwdrivers - Screwdriver Sets - Precision Screwdriver Set'
