The Presto Letter Opener package of 5 is a better deal than the other similar letter openers. The discount for purchasing 5 at once is substantial. Moreover, if you need one of these, you probably need more. We keep these at work at every location where anyone opens mail, and it's a good idea to have a spare or two since like pens, these items seem to walk away.
This is simply the best letter opener by far that I've ever used. After using it, no other type comes close. The design is so simple that one wonders why it took so long for somebody to invent it. The pointy part is easier to insert into a letter than a blade of any type. Then, unlike letter openers that are knife-shaped, it is easier to slide the pointy part along the inside top of the envelope. This guarantees that the papers inside are not cut or mutilated.
Because this type of letter opener reliably doesn't disturb the contents of the letter in a superior manner, one tends to use it much quicker. I open several letters in less time and with less concern than when I used other types of openers and methods.
This letter opener saves time and aggravation - it's worth it! I think it makes great sense to get a package of 5.
I am very pleased with this product. I open mail in a large doctor's office, and there is a LOT of it! I've tried all sorts of openers, from the knife-type to battery run (excellent, but too noisy!). This Presto one is my favorite. I can zip right through all my mail without any problems. Shipping was immediate. Very pleased!
We've tried various different (but similar) letter openers other than the Presto brand. The others all seem to "stutter" while the Presto slides right through the envelope. Whether it's the angle of the blade or some other reason, the Presto has worked the best at opening letters in our office.
