I purchased this set of polishing pads to enhance the finish on some concrete countertops I constructed. This set was perfect because it came with a backing pad and a variety of grits. The only negative I can think of is using the pads dry wears them down quickly so you need to use water with them, which means either using a very expensive grinder or a pneumatic one. I polished up to 1,500 we then went back to 800 dry to get a mirror finish.
