Travel Clothesline - clothesline, travel laundry

Don't be fooled by cheaper suction cup knockoffs. Suction cup clotheslines won't hold a wet sock! You have to tie the ends down either way so why not have a strong line that is designed to be tied. The braided feature allows you to do without clothespins because you can pinch your clothing in between the braids... Although I always throw things over the top. This line is worth the extra dough and will help keep your luggage weight down. I suggest buying some Woolite packets as well. Rick Steves Travel Gear Clothesline, White

I admit it--my husband and I are "pack light" addicts. We only take carry-on luggage, which automatically means doing laundry. Bought this clothesline last fall and took it on a 10-day trip to Paris, along with only 3 pairs of (acrylic) socks and 3 sets of (microfiber) underwear.

This clothesline is GREAT! I was able to put it up in whatever shower/tub configuration we found in our hotel rooms. We did laundry every night, filling the sink with soapy water and allowing the garments to soak while one of us took a shower, then rinsing well, blotting in an already-used bath towel (or viscose hand towel) and hanging them up on this clothesline.

No need for clothes pins--you can insert the garment between the braids on the line.

I have osteoarthritis in my fingers and as other reviewers have noted, I did have some problem separating the braided rubber on the clothesline. But I found that inserting the garments into the braiding while the line was not taut made it much easier. I then stretched the line out for the garments to dry.

I hung blouses and pants on it too. (We wear nylon/polyester travel pants and nylon or polyester shirts/blouses. These wash/dry very well in the hotel room.)

I found that using a small viscose handtowel (think Shamwow, but there must be other manufacturers--just make sure it is really viscose) really helped get the clothes dry. Viscose can be wrung virtually dry by hand, and it pulls water out of hand laundry like nothing else.

I was very impressed by this clothesline and highly recommend it!

Best clothesline I have used. Sure beat packing safety pins and/or clothespins to attach clothes to line. It was very easy to attach washed clothes, especially socks, underwear, and shirts. The velcro makes it easier to attach to most things available in a hotel room.

This is a very well-made product. I bought it for a trip to China and used it several times. The braided design makes clothespins unnecessary and the straps attach to any variety of objects in the hotel room or bathroom. My only complaint is that it is quite pricey for a clothesline. That said, if you travel a lot and do essential laundry in your room you'll probably be very happy with this product.

On a recent trip to Italy, I took the Rick Steve's Clothesline with me for a first-time trial run. Packing lightly, I needed to wash items any number of times. The clothesline was a lifesaver! The main component that makes it better than others are the strong velcro ends...held tight to balcony ledges, shower racks, any object that I needed for an anchor. Also, the rubbery twisted line does away with the need for clothespins...and prevents the embarrasment of finding your "delicates" laying on the ground below, having blown off a less secure line! I'd certainly recommend this item to any traveler. The only thing that might improve it is having a choice for a longer version. Rock on, Rick Steves!

I travel light, which means laundry. To forgo the pleasure of clothespins, I take this line. It has worked well on 4 major trips now. With a very small load of laundry (my usual every-other-night wash) it is fine. For larger loads I add an "extender." In the past it was a bit of cord, but I now use a 60 inch web belt (which has several other uses when I travel.) The belt allows me to attach the clothesline in (so far) any hotel and extends the line for large loads.

This thing is exactly what it says it is, and does what it says it does, if you can find the right place to use it. In 2 of the 3 hotels I stayed in while I was in the Philippines, I could not find two suitable end points close enough to each other to attach it to. In the third, I was able to find several end points to attach it to, but none were strong enough to stretch it from one to the other without risking damage to the things I attached it to. (When stretched the distance needed there was upwards of 50 to 150 pounds of force on the line, which was enough to pull the endpoints out of the wall if I were to have used them. The picture of the item is a little out dated since there are also Velcro straps on the ends. Those Velcro straps help you attach the line to larger things like wide posts but often by cinching the Velcro strap around the line itself, cutting down on the available length.

I ended up leaving this behind with my host family in the Philippines. (I don't know what they will do with it, because their home construction certainly isn't strong enough to attach the line either.) One of the younger girls was using it alternately as a jump rope or as a leash for her younger cousin. Ha-ha!

I think that the line could be useful if it were maybe 2 or 3 times longer. You could always tie off the extra length if needed.

Confession time: I'm cheap. Really cheap. And one of the ways I express it is by doing a good bit of my laundry at home in the bathtub. (Ahh, the joys of apartment living!). And I am very impressed by this line--it's strong, sturdy, mounts very easily in my shower, and holds a TON of clothes (even multiple really heavy items like wet towels). I was skeptical about the velcro strips, but so far they've never let me down and I love the versatility they offer over suction cups--if the bathroom is unavailable, I can mount this thing just about anywhere. And, of course, the braided design allows you to hang a lot of items on it in a secure fashion.

I wouldn't use it outdoors, as other reviewers have noted--it is rubber, after all, and probably doesn't respond to temperature changes. But otherwise, this is one of my favorite apartment-living purchases ever. - Travel Clothesline - Travel Laundry - Rick Steves - Clothesline'

Portable Tv - battery operated tv, dtv ready portable tv

Received car power charger around the 30th of June, from Axion. Tested and works great!

UPDATE 06/23/10:

In regards to "NO CAR POWER ADAPTER CHARGER INCLUDED WITH THIS PRODUCT" listed below. I figured that I would call Axion and see if they could help. I left a message, not expecting a call back. Boy what service! They called back promptly, and indicated that if I provided an Amazon receipt for the TV by email, along with my shipping address, they would send the charger. I provided the info the same day and they acknowledged the receipt and would send out the charger. Great service!!! I'm updating the rating from a 3 to a 5. Thanks Axion!

Review:

Great price, picture, and stereo sound (speakers in front). Super compact light remote. Love the back kickstand for desktop use. Excellent reception. External antenna with an extra long cable has a magnet base that mounts on top of your car roof, or any metal surface. Pop up antenna and external antenna both plug into the TV with a standard input. You can also plug you cable or satellite dish into the same input. Automatic or manual station setup. You won't be sorry buying this one.

Beware: NO CAR POWER ADAPTER CHARGER INCLUDED WITH THIS PRODUCT. Sold and Shipped By Amazon

The Product Description clearly states " The AXN-8705 includes an AC power adapter as well as a car adapter so you will be able to have unlimited use on a long road trip." No Dice.

I called Amazon and they said they would have to send a whole new product, not just the missing charger. I received the next box and the "car adapter", was also missing from the box. I looked at the enclosed manual for both boxes and the "Car Adapter" is not listed. Now I have to send the replacement back by postal mail and then ask for a refund for postage from Amazon. They are going to credit my account now for the missing "car adapter" for $[...].

I had to search Amazon to find a "car adapter". The link is provided below is where you can buy. It's another vendor listed on Amazon.

I love this little TV. I bought it to have for power outages (we have frequent outages due to hurricanes and an antiquated power grid). I also plan to use it in the bathroom while taking bubble baths (away from the water, of course).

The picture quality compares to my large screen Vizio and the sound is OK.

This little TV seems to be irresistable, both of my neighbors ordered one as soon as they saw mine.

This is a great deal, the cheapest portable TV in the local Walmart is $99 plus 7% tax and it isn't nearly as nice and doesn't include all the extras.

I'm using the attached telescoping antenna and have no need for the included external antenna. The reception is great, I get all the same channels that I get on my larger TV's.

The lithium polymer battery is another BIG plus. The li-poly batteries are relatively inexpensive and I can easily afford to have a few extras in preparation for outages.

I highly recommend this portable TV. Thanks Amazon for such a great product at an amazing price.

I absolutely love this little TV. I don't watch a lot of TV so it's perfect for me. Gets really great reception in my area, can take it from room to room. I usually plug it in to watch it. Use it on battery only if I'm going to watch for 2 hours or less. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and works really great. Remote control is a little flimsy but guess you can't have everything for this price. Instruction booklet a little confusing but really didn't need it as I turned it on after initial charging of 3 hours and then was prompted by menu for set-up. So far I think it is really great.

I ordered this TV, in late Aug, to use primarily during power failures. There was some discussion on the Amazon Web page about whether or not a car adapter was included. The picture on the webpage showed a car adapter but the TV did not come with one, nor was there one listed on the OEM box. I e-mailed the manufacturer who responded promptly stating that the TV did not come with one and they would be glad to sell me one for $8 plus shipping. Very misleading adv and very disappointing. The webpage still shows the adapter.

I've only tested the TV a few times. The picture is sharp, color good, but the maximum volume is a little lower than I would like. The audio is clear, however, and at least, in the Baltimore area, it picks up an amazing number of stations.

I find the remote awkard to use because of its very small size. Initially, because of my difficulty in using it, I thought the remote was defective.

After complaining to Amazon customer service about the misleading adv., they apologized and offered some adjustment options. - Dtv Ready Portable Tv - Battery Operated Tv - Portable Tv - Lcd Tv'

Organizing - organizing, files

I am seriously in need of more now that I started organizing with these poly envelopes. They expand to about an inch, are transparent as the product image shows and have a small flap with velcro tab closure. I love that I can see through them because it makes it "label free" and you don't have to rummage through it like an ordinary envelope to see what's in it, even if it's labeled. I look at the paperwork facing the front or what I placed in the back window to determine if it's the 'right' envelope. I use them for important insurance papers, unpaid bills, paid health ins bills, paid monthly bills, tax records for the current year, follow up work papers, and more. The other way that I remember what is in them is by color code. Red envelope represents "Important!" and Yellow envelope represents "Caution-follow up," and Green means "paid receipts," Blue means "Insurance," etc. You get the idea.

I think I'd like a few more packages to store some older important documents and will most likely order soon. So get yours now before I scramble to race you for them all! :) Smead Envelopes with 1.5-Inch Expansion, Polypropylene, Letter Size (8.5 x 11), Blue/Green/Purple/Red/Smoke/Yellow, 6 per Pack (89669)

These were perfect for organizing our home office and storing items that, while important, weren't something that needed to be put in a fireproof safe. They hold quite a bit and the velcro closure is a handy thing to have. No more worries about keeping the envelope closed when the elastic loop or cord eventually breaks. The see-through aspect is nice as well. We put a quick list of what was each one so we know what papers are where. Best part is the price - about 2/3 the price of what the local office stores sell it for.

These Plastic file holders are great for holding all the tax stuff you need only once a year and for receipts for deductions. I do my whole families taxes (5) and these work perfectly for all the stuff I need to keep track of. - Plastic - Files - Filing - Organizing'

Compact Dvd Player - excellent, cheap dvd player

Nothing fancy about this DVD player, works as described. I needed a portable player that would fit in the same bag with my 10" portable LCD TV. I often work in remote areas where there are no signals of any kind, so this unit fits my entertainment needs. Some locations have cable or satellite, which is why I prefer TV setup over a portable DVD player w/ display. I have used this unit several times, so far no problems. Easy packing and connecting capabilities. Coby DVD209BLK Ultra-Compact DVD Player, Black

I was looking for a good DVD player for a tight space on my boat. This one fit the bill and it works great. I purchased the extended warranty after reading some not so good reviews, but hope I won't need it.

I just rec'd the Coby DVD. I took a chance and purchased two, one for my mother and one for myself. I haven't had it but a week and just had the opportunity to connect it at home and at my mothers house. So the only thing I can say so far so good. I couldn't read the instructions in the manual because the print is entirely to small so I just used common sense. It was fairly easy once you connected the cords in the right inputs. The remote you have to get use to as to how it functions. I don't think anything is wrong with it you just have to make sure you point it facing the player's lcd and you have to determine whether to press with a quick release or hold the button down till a response by a prompt on the tv screen appears. It plays great and the cost was great as well. I'll write another review after I have had it a while. Hopefully this unit won't disappoint. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to purchase due to some of the negative reviews I had read. So I rate it a 5 because at this time I'm completely satisfied and just the right size to fit in tight spaces and light weight.

We have bought three of these Coby players over the past 2 years. Mainly because they are small and cheap. All failed in under six months, all worked as described for the first several weeks, then had loading issues and then just failing all together. They are used rarely in our guest room or for the kids to view DVDs occasionally if we have company downstairs. Had that situation this past weekend where I popped in a brand new DVD and the player refused to load it. It then refused to even power down after I repeatadly pressed the power button. I ended up just unplugging it and tossing it in the garbage. I'll spend the extra $30 and get a more reliable player so I don't have to worry about ANOTHER one breaking down at an in opportune time.

SK

Despite the line in the description: "NTSC/PAL compatible, convenient on-screen display, and camera angle support", this player does NOT play PAL discs. I believe, after purchasing this, that this refers to the video output format, which virtually _all_ players are compatible with both output formats. I was looking for a cheap dual region player, and this did not fit the bill. My 1 star review is for inaccurate or at best, vague, product description.

Wanted a small DVD player for my kitchen where I do not have alot of space. This was a perfect option, works well, can't really get the remote to work but I think I need to read the directions again...just haven't had the time. From my research, Amazon had the best price on this even including the shipping.

I purchased this item for my Mother because I have a silver one and I love it. My Mother uses this little player every day and loves it. She enjoys the ease of operation with the remote and it's sleek compact look. - Cheap Dvd Player - Dvd Player - Compact Dvd Player - Excellent'

Pepper Shaker Sets

Another great product from Fred & Friends. Very, very cute. My only comment would be that I wish it were plastic and not ceramic, as it is on the delicate side. Overall though, a wonderful gift for yourself or someone else. Fred & Friends PANTS Salt-and-Pepper Set

I bought this for myself while I was shopping for my daughter on Amazon. I got her the M-cups measuring cups from Fred & friends. There's plenty of room for the salt and pepper, even though it may appear small. I think it's really novel and cute.

I love this shaker. Yes it's breakable material which is why I deducted a star but it's really cute on the table. As someone else also mentioned there is only one hole in the head for the salt an it seems the pepper pants are only half fillable ..but it's super cute, if it appeals to u..get it :)

This is the cutest little guy ever. It's a little small but I kind of like my salt shakers small. The only flaws that I could find are that the pants are a lot lighter than I thought they would be and you can't stand the salt shaker up by itself... at least on mine.

VERY CUTE AND I AM HAPPY I PURCHASED IT. ON THE DOWN SIDE THE FILL HOLES ARE VERY SMALL AND HARD TO POUR THE SALT OR PEPPER IN....YES I HAVE A SMALL FUNNEL AND YES IT IS STILL DIFFICULT. IT LOOKS LIKE THERE ARE SEVERAL SMALL HOLES ON TOP OF THE HEAD FOR SALT TO COME OUT. NOT SO, THERE IS ONLY ONE TINY HOLE AND THE REST ARE NON FUNCTIONAL. THESE DRAWBACKS ARE NOT ENOUGH FOR ME NOT TO LOVE THIS SET.'

Printer Ink - ink cartridge, inkjet

The ink seems to work well for general purpose use. The only problem I have is sometimes the printer thinks the cartridge is empty when there is still clearly a significant amount of ink left in the cartridge.

Amazon.com is typically among the lowest cost suppliers of Canon CLI-8 ink. Canon CLI-8M Magenta Ink Tank

I use this ink for my every day printing needs and sometimes for picture printing. The quality is great and the colors are vivid. Canon has a great line of printing products, and I would recommend to buy original inks, since they provide better quality.

I have a Canon Photo Printer which takes six CLI-8 Canon Ink Cartridges. The cost of each individual ink cartridge ranges from around $12.50-15 (on Amazon) to 18.99 in Staples. So no matter how you buy the genuine Canon Ink Cartridges keeping yourself ready to print photos is expensive.

You can get a better per cartridge of you buy them in Canon CLI-8 4-Color Multipack Ink Tanks. In that case each individual cartridge is a little less expensive. Canon package CL-8C (Cyan), CL-8M (Magenta), CL-8Y (Yellow), and CL-8BK (Black) as a pack ($40-44 on Amazon). When cartridges are sold in packs you might think those colors are used at similar rates... but that is not so.

I have kept track of the usage of the cartridges over a long period of time and would like to share these results with you.

Number of cartridges used

CL-8M Magenta = 5

CL-8Y Yellow = 8

CL-8B Black = 6

CL-8PC Photo Cyan = 6

CL-8PM Photo Magenta = 8

CL-8C Cyan = 4

My usage shows that yellow is used the most, followed closely by Photo Magenta, followed next by Black and Photo Cyan, and trailed by Cyan and Magenta. Note that I have a laser printer that I used for text otherwise the usage of the Black Cartridge would have been a lot higher.

I buy most of my color photo ink on-line from Amazon. However now that Staples began (again) accepting CL-8 cartridges for Staples Rewards in their recycling empty cartridges program, I wanted to analyze my usage to see which cartridges I should buy at Staples using my Staples Rewards.

My original thought was to buy Canon CLI-8PC Photo Cyan Ink Tank and Canon CLI-8PM Photo Magenta Ink Tank since they don't come in a pack. But given the usage chart above, it is clear that I should buy extra Yellow and Photo Magenta.

I love my Pixma printers, and the ink is no exception. I always buy the name-brand of ink because of the chip on the tank (I don't trust myself to peel it off and glue it on the generic ones.) Sometimes I have problems with the printer thinking the tank is empty when it is not, but I assume that has something to do with the fact that my printer is over 4 years old.

I have been using Canon printers and ink for many years. I like the printers that use the individual ink colors best. Although the Canon ink is expensive, the resulting prints are wonderful. Amazon's price, delivery time, and shipping costs are as good as gets.

I will no longer purchase from office supply stores if I continue to find these ink cartridges at these prices at amazon. Even generic versions of the same ink did not come close to the price offered here. Shipping was timely and the product was no different than what I could find at a big box store. - Ink Cartridge - Canon - Printer Ink - Inkjet'

Hard Rock And Heavy Metal - hard rock, rock

This is Led Zeppelin's best CD. No other CD truly defines this band better than their self-titled debut. All songs on this album are indispensible. Dazed and Confused is a masterpiece, as is Babe, I'm Gonna Leave you. But the real heart and soul of this record are its blues tracks You Shook Me and I Can't Quit You Baby anchor the album. Zep was always at their best playing the blues, just check out Since I've Been Lovin' You. Your Time is Gonna Come still gives me goosebumps, and How Many More Times is the hidden gem on the album. Zeppelin would never top the overall consistency of this album, it is a true landmark in rock history and should be in every fans' collection. Led Zeppelin 1

The short guitar bursts on "Good Times Bad Times" that open this firecracker debut in 1969 could be viewed as a forewarning of great songs to come, some of the most historic moments in rock and roll. These four guys were actual musicians who, as a collective unit, created a sound that was unmatchable at the time. And they didn't just blast away at their instruments, either. "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" showcases gentle acoustic guitar at first, then later driving riffs that could inspire anyone to play air guitar. Even on their first record, Zeppelin weren't afraid to draw out their songs (some would say overstay their welcome), and four of the nine tunes last (and blast) for over six minutes. Like The Doors, Zeppelin had a keen interest in the blues; underneath all the raw rock on this album is a soulful, bluesy sound and aura with two Willie Dixon covers that the band "Zeppelinizes" to the max. Nothing, however, tops the segway from "You Shook Me" to the blazing "Dazed and Confused," which sounds amazing, raw and blistering. The organ work of John Paul Jones on "Your Time is Gonna Come" is truly beautiful, sounding like a church hymn on a rough-and-tumble rock and roll album. Undoubtedly, these British lads mixed sonic beauty and thrashing rawness to create an art form that still resonates today. "Black Mountain Side" is a busy acoustic ditty that sounds positively charming next to its follower, "Communication Breakdown," but that's Zeppelin's style in a nutshell -- heartlifting to raw in a matter of seconds. These rocking songs come off as urgent and passionate. Lyrically, the album is all blues as Plant wails majestically about one heartbreak after the other, moaning about his lost women and unabashedly feeling lonesome and sorry for himself. No matter, he'd have plenty of time to attain more women in the future. This is the work of a band ready to take on the world -- on its own terms.

This is not my favorite Zep album, nor do I think it's their best, but it's a great debut and sign of things to come from Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals), John Paul Jones (bass/keys) and John Bonham (drums).Led Zeppelin was one of those rare groups that combined musicianship, live performance, charisma, myth and decadence into an enduring legend. The critics may have hated them, and detractors may still rip on them, but this band recorded a decent catalog of material. These guys were also very eclectic with their musical styles, with straight-ahead rock/metal, white blues, acoustic folk, and eastern-tinged raga all showing up on different tunes. They may have shamelessly ripped off classic blues, call it sampling, but they were unafraid to push the boundaries of rock music."Good Times Bad Times" is a crunchy opener, with its guitar rhythm puzzle, outstanding drum fills, and excellent bass riffs."Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" has a nice acoustic guitar ballad feel, but rises and falls with varying dynamics. The lyrics are pretty standard 'my woman done me wrong' but Plant turns in a good performance."You Shook Me" is a slow-burn blues tune. Great organ solo. Interesting guitar/vocal interplay between Page and Plant."Dazed and Confused" is a signature tune for Led Zeppelin. My favorite thing about this song is the timing of the rhythm section, especially John Bonham's drumming."You Time is Gonna Come" begins with cathedral-like organ playing by Jones before breaking into an acoustic/rock number. More lyrics about 'woman done me wrong.'"Black Mountain Side" is an instrumental featuring acoustic guitar and tablas. I like Dread Zeppelin's version for humor."Communication Breakdown" revs things up with more crunchy rock, with a great bassline and blistering guitar solo by Page."I Can't Quit You Baby" is another slow blues burn, with plenty of tasty guitar licks by Page."How Many More Times" has a nice swinging rhythm groove, wah guitar, and probably Plant's best vocal performance on the disk. All in all, this is a solid effort, although the slow tempo tunes bog it down at times, and Plant is definitely still developing as a vocalist here. Still, this is a fine debut and well worth adding to your collection.

I really don't know what to say about this. All words of praise pale in comparison to the music. It defines an era, a moment, a generation. I can't listen to it without a flood of memories and feelings. There is nothing like it. The best of the best.

"From the chunky, hard riff that opens "Good Times, Bad Times" (listen to how John Bonham triples up on his bass drum during the first verse) Led Zeppelin introduced the music world to something entirely new. The zest, fervor and passion that they'd put into thier final performances as the "New Yardbirds" was heightened on this first album, and perfected with relentless touring and concentrated studio time. "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" perfectly showcases Robert Plants' staggering vocal prowess (remember he was still a boy of 21 at the time) and the groups' brilliant arranging and playing. The two sprawling, bluesy excursions these blokes take on have become classics in thier own right (the pummeling "Dazed & Confused" and the album closing "How Many More Times" give the album it's epic feel and are perfect examples of how the blues informed and influenced the band from the very beginning. The shorter songs are oustanding as well, the punkish attack of "Communication Breakdown" provides a quick burst of energy for the listener, while "Your Time Is Gonna Come" is perfect acoustic pop that still doesn't sound dated or contrived. "Black Mountain Side" owes a debt to the Beatles in the middle 60's experimental period with it's use of tabla, acoustic instruments and somewhat unusual arrangement (no vocals). The entire band seemed to really coalesce into a tight, ferocius and intuative unit in a very short time as this debut album is completely lacking in any of the awkwardness or timidity usually associated with a new band. Throughout, Jimmy Pages' guitar (electric and acoustic) whips and soars over the heavy blues rock like a bird in flight, he essentialy rewrites the book on hard rock guitar playing here. John Bonham (THE GREATEST ROCK DRUMMER EVER, PERIOD) and John Paul Jones are an astounding rhythm section incapable of ever losing the groove and they stretch out to wondrous effect here on several selections. Led Zeppelin were a true band who only got better with time. Though their sound became more streamlined with subsequent releases, they never lost the fire that they started with in '68. This is a classic whose influence has been far reaching , but the years have only made it sound fresher and more vital. ... - Led Zeppelin - Definitive 200 - Rock - Hard Rock'

Accessories - bullet pen, fisher space pen

This pen is truly excellent. It is super durable -- I have dropped mine on concrete many times, and I once left it out in the yard for a week and a half, with no problems. The grip is also nearly perfect. I find it to be better for extended writing than any other pen I've tried (except the PenAgain Y-shaped pens, which don't really count).

The only flaw is that, on mine at least, the clip tended to slide off the back of the pen. After it slid off a couple of times, I hit it with a drop of superglue, and it has been perfect since.

Highly recommended. This pen is truly from a different era, when Americans designed beautiful, serviceable, mechanical things that functioned well and lasted a lifetime. Fisher Space Pen, Bullet Space Pen with Clip, Chrome, Gift Boxed (400CL)

I've used a lot of pens in my life, but this one is by far the best. Not only is it a great pen, but it's also a great conversation piece. Last night, I took my space pen to the bar, bought a girl a drink, and then i whipped out my pen. I mentioned that it writes under water, through grease, upside down...you name it! Latter on, i used the pen to write down her telephone number! Without this pen, I'd still be single! Thank you space pen! - Pen - Bullet Pen - Compact Pen - Fisher Space Pen'

Notebook Computer Bags - laptop backpack, case

I got this backpack few weeks ago and its pretty good so far. For some reasons this one (which is red) is cheaper then the black one, even though they are the same backpack expect for the color differences. I'm guessing because more people are into black color backpack. Anyways, I'm just going to put the bad and the good about this backpack.

GOOD

-This can fit a 15.4" laptop, anything bigger than 15.4 will not fit.

-Well made, it will last for a long time.

-Lot's of small protected pocket for Ipod, PSP, HardDrive..etc.

-Feels good when its placed on your back, it's design to have air flow between your back and the backpack. This way you will not have a wet spot on your back.

-Cheap

Bad

-It's kinda small in size, you can fit a laptop and few binders and maybe 2 books. That is about it, there are spaces but its more for small items. There are bigger version of SwissGear backpack, but it cost more.

Overall, this is a great backpack for it's price. If I would buy another one in the future I would still chose SwissGear.

Hope this help, thanks for reading. :) SwissGear SA9769 Computer Backpack (Black/Light Gray)

I just got this bag and when I ordered I was torn between this one and the bigger version of it. It took a while for delivery but, I finally got it today. It is very nice. The material looks and feels very sturdy and there's a lot more room then I thought there was: FYI the laptop area fits my 15.4" laptop (the capability of the screen size to fit this bag was not specified anywhere; and believe me I looked everywhere online). Anyway, there is still room to add a book in the laptop compartment which is the last one (has a lot of padding here). There is another compartment, the middle one, which can fit about 3 folder sized items, and yet another deep compartment in the front with nice zipper/pocket areas. the padding is really comfortable on the straps and the back with "air" circulation noted which I assume is a good thing. Also, note the adjustable straps you see in the picture on each side of the bag; they are extremely useful because when you don't have this bag stuffed with things just tighten it up and it appears to be a smaller bag (which is good for me, since I frequently just carry my laptop). Worth the $35 I paid despite the delayed but free shipping. I think if I would have gotten the bigger version of this bag it would have been too big for my needs. (btw I am replacing a Targus laptop backpack which lasted only about 6 months and now it has a hole that is tearing on a daily basis at the bottom- so if anything I don't recommend targus backpack which I paid $30 for and the material was poor compared to this one and also it is much smaller then this one). This construction feels much stronger and durable then the Targus and I only paid $5 dollars more. Also seems more practical and convenient with the compartments and pockets.

I was going to buy a rolling laptop bag, but found this on sale and got it instead. Made my trip so easy! Plenty of room for my laptop and accessories. Plus tons of padding and pockets. I was able to carry extra books, electronics, etc. Sitting in an airplane seat it fit nicely under the seat in front of me and I was able to get to all my toys during the flight. I have used about 6 other laptop bags during travel, but this was definitely the most comfortable, roomy, and easiest to use.

I'm a 5'4" female and this bag is the perfect size for me (as in it's not too big for someone smaller - the bag also works well on my 6'2" husband). It's not huge like some other computer bags that make you feel like a turtle when you put it on. Still, it has plenty of space. I keep my 14.1" laptop in the bag, along with my lunch, a water bottle, 3 notebooks and text book and there's still a little bit of room to spare. The quality of the materials and workmanship are fantastic and very best part is the amazing back and shoulder strap padding and the distribution of weight. In my old backpack, the weight of all the aforementioned stuff really felt heavy. Somehow, in the construction of this magical bag, they managed to distribute the weight so it feels like quite light! I've had the bag for a couple of months now and no complaints. And I have a feeling this one will be lasting me awhile! Definitely recommended.

I always wanted to go for Swissgear bag when I wanted to go for BackPack.

As per the item, I thought it will fit for 15-17" inches screen. As I bought new 16" laptop, I have orded this bag and this is NOT even close to that. This is just for 14" laptop and less.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE 15" widescreen or above.

Otherwise, This backpack is really good and worth for the price.

I took a chance when I ordered this bag here on Amazon and boy did it pay off. I own a Dell Studio 1537 Laptop (15.4 in screen) and was a little worried about the fit of it into this backpack/ bag because the last bag I owned claimed to fit a laptop of my size and it didn't. Turns out, this bag was the perfect solution to my problem. Even though the the laptop fits really snug in its compartment, it's not so bad as to where you cant easily insert and remove it. The laptop compartment is well padded and even has breathable mesh on the wearers side to ventilate any heat that may be present. Other features include a: mobile phone pocket/ water bottle pockets/ a slot to route headphone cords to an mp3 player so the wearer and listen to their tunes on the go/ multiple organizing slots for pens, pecils, credit cards/ passports/ i.d's/ etc/ even a sunglass holder on one of the straps. Speaking of the straps. The straps are padded for extra comfort. In adition to all of the named compartments, this bag has multiple slots for any little knick knack or gadget you can think of. If I really wanted to, I could probably carry my laptop, psp, ipod touch, digital camera, all the peripherals, a portable hardrive and still have room for 2 to 3 text books. This bag is a must have for any college student or person with a lot of electronic gadgets on the go. I would highly recommend this purchase and if for some reason this bag was ruined I'd replace it in a heartbeat. - Notebook Computer Bags - Swissgear - Laptop Backpack - Case'

Lay Out Tools - nail gun, pinner

At first I was hesitant to buy the PC PIN100. The reviews were the core of my concern. Does it leave a dent in the work? Will it quickly malfunction? Is the pin visible? Is it a quality tool, or a piece of junk? I took it out of the carrying case, and the clear plastic wrap, and immediately put 5 drops of the oil that comes in the kit, in the air nozzle. I wanted to ward off any jamming problems. Upon loading the nails, I noticed that there were multiple arrows printed on the side of the nail strip. That way you would load them in the right direction. If you ignored the arrows, and loaded them upside down, which is possible considering the small size of the pins, the sharp, fine, thin tip would be up, to do battle with the hammer coming down. Certainly, it would veer off to one side, thereby freezing the hammer and pin. In addition that kind of action could score the shaft, and that would lead to other possible misfires. People reporting problems with jams could have done just that. The top of the pin has a blunt-flat end on it, and the business end is sharp. Since they are so tiny, if you don't notice the arrows on the side, it is easy to load them upside down. These pins are not serrated, or ring shanked, but rather smooth on the sides. That way they don't receive resistance on the way down. Important considering their fine size. I was able to take the 3/4" pins, that come with the kit, and drive several into a 3/4" piece of oak, without any problems whatsoever. I first tested it out on a piece of scrap pine. Since I loaded the nailer with oil, it came out of the nose quite readily, which made a slight black mark where the pin went into the wood. Since the pine is very light, it showed. It was worth it, I wanted to break it in properly. After about 20 pins the oil cleared, I then went onto the oak, and it left a pin without any blemish. All in all with all of my testing, the pin nailer never misfired, or even hinted, at a misfire even once. I put it to the test with firing nails, as fast as I could squeeze the trigger, and never a problem or a glitch. You can fire a lot of nails very quickly with this tool. It doesn't have the safety nose that requires plunging like the rest of the Porter Cable finish nailer line. That way you can get into finely cramped quarters, and get the pin in at your desired angle. What PC did, was put two levers on the handle, one is a safety release, and the other one is the firing trigger. It is well engineered that way, and is easy and intuitive to use. How about the pin, does it show? On the first test pieces, with 5 drops of break in oil, it showed on the pine. After blowing it out with 20 pins, the oil deposits stopped, and all you saw was the pin hole. Does the pin hole become invisible by wiping water on the wood? I am getting critical here, but yes it does show. I was dreaming of the wood swelling, and making the pin hole completely invisible. That didn't happen in the pine and oak I tested it in. BUT the pin hole is so small, that all but the most critical customers will object to it. I have to admit that it is so tiny, that it couldn't be any smaller without disappearing altogether. Miniscule is the appropriate word here. It makes an 18 gauge finish nail look like a crater in comparison. For light colored wood it is barely visible, and for medium to dark woods it will disappear altogether. So if you are looking to attach really fine work, like 1/4" quarter round mldgs, this is just what the doctor ordered. I tried to be critical of the impression if any the head would leave in the work. When working with oak, even at the highest pressures, it did not leave a mark. Pine on the other hand, required a gentle touch. If you pressed down on the head while firing, it left a tiny impression. If you laid the head gently onto the surface, and fired, it left no impression whatsoever. Considering that pine is so soft, that you can leave an impression in it with your finger nail, I laid to rest any concerns about dimples in the wood. The air pressure range prescribed by PC is 60 to 100 PSI. It is advisable to stay within that range, whereas excessive pressures can cause problems. I imagine the firing apparatus is designed to ideally work within those ranges, and subjecting it to excessive pressure is reason for concern. I tweaked my regulator on the wall to 105 pounds, which would give me 100 or less at the gun, and it fired well without any difference in the head impression on the work. So what does all of this mean? Simply put, I love this tool. It does the job beautifully, appears to do so without any suggestion of malfunctioning. I have the Porter Cable 16 gauge, and the 18 gauge both in the BN 125A and the 200A, and this makes my fourth PC finish level nailer, and not one of them has given me any problems. (They can misfire if you run them dry. I guess that is why PC always includes a squeeze bottle of oil with every nailer.) This is a keeper. I bought the other size pin nails as well. They come in 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", and 1 inch. It comes with the 3/4", so I picked up the other sizes. I am looking forward to using the PC PIN100 in doing the fine work. You can spend a lot of time, and get a large project to really look fine, but the small details can make the difference of looking like artwork, or a signature of a less skilled practitioner. This tool will make you an artist, on the detail work. Highly recommended. Porter-Cable PIN100 1/2-Inch to 1-Inch 23-Gauge Pin Nailer

On commercially made frame and panel doors you will notice two tiny little holes (that have been filled) on the back side of each joint. Even old dogs like me can learn a new trick once and awhile, and this struck me as a brilliant way of NOT being forced to wait for glue to set during the assembly process of frame and panel doors. My last project had 82 frame and panel doors and finished panels, and even gluing up two at a time in one set of clamps, I ran out of clamps pretty quick and then had to wait at least an hour prior to the assembly of more. My current project has 56 framed panels in 3/4" thick Western Red Cedar, Pine and Iroko so I decided to try a new way of assembly rather than play the waiting game. My PC pinner was purchased for just this purpose and I'm happy to report that this technique works like a charm and the glue joints remain tight while the glue sets AND the pin holes are truly "pin holes". On my current project the back-side of the panels is not visible so therefore I don't need to fill these holes, but on "good two side" projects these holes will not be an issue to fill. The longer the panel sits in clamps the better chance the glue has to "grab". To facilitate this I used two sets of clamps. I glued and assembled one panel in the first set of clamps, fired 5/8" pins into the joints and let that sit while I assembled a second panel in the second set of clamps. The clamps pull the joint together and the 5/8" long pins perfectly "pin" the tenon in the joint and hold the frame together once released from the clamps. Once the third panel was assembled I went back and removed the first panel from the clamps and set it aside to allow the glue to completely set, by the time I got back to the first panel the glue had just enough time to grab and the joint didn't budge. Just remember that they are 23 gauge pins and are there only to hold things together until the glue does it's job, so you can't be reefing on the joints until the glue has been completely set. In this alternating method I assembled all 56 panels in less than a day, totally cool! I estimated it would have taken the better part of a week to have done the same in the "traditional" way with only clamps. The PC pinner performed flawlessly even without "PC brand" pins and regardless of the material (Western Red Cedar is like hard butter and Iroko is just as hard and stringy as Elm) the pins were set perfectly each and every time at 100 psi. For everyone who has used nail guns, you do have a tendency to push down prior to firing a nail to push back the safety arm. This pinner has a trigger safety on it that you pull back with your finger, so there is no requirement to push down, just set the nose on the surface and pull the trigger. There is a bit of bounce back but I found that even on Western Red Cedar I could avoid a large "nose dint" by using care in how I held the gun against the surface of the material. I can see how this gun would be very easy to jamb as the pins have no head. The pins have an arrow on them indicating which way they get inserted in the gun for good reason. The ram is tiny and must be machined to very tight tolerances (which contributes greatly to the high cost of such a small and specialized tool), I would imagine that if the ram gets distorted or damaged in any way this gun will be problematic from there ever-after. So handle and use this tool with care, if ever there was a nail gun to put the prescribed drop of oil in prior to use this is it. I'm sure I will find a million other uses for this gun over time, but for now I'm very pleased that it worked like a charm for the purpose I bought if for. You've got to love it when a new tool pays for itself on the first job! One other piece of advice, this is NOT the gun for you if you are looking for a "nail gun". This is a "pinner" and should ONLY be used for that purpose. It can fire pins between 1/2" and 1" in length ONLY, most nail guns can fire nails from 3/4" to 2 1/2" in length. For general nailing buy a gun that fires 18 or 15 gauge nails, they are relatively cheap, much more durable and the nails are cheaper. Made in Taiwan yes, but made to very high standards so I have nothing disparaging to say on that front. Highly recommended. - Pin Nailer - Pinner - Porter-cable - Nail Gun'

Home Improvement - interior design, construction

I expected a bit more out of this book than I got out of it. It seems to touch on a little bit of each aspect of using concrete for floors, walls, countertops, etc. But really doesn't go into too much depth, which leaves it up to the reader to do lots of their own experimenting. I would like to have seen the book about twice as thick, with a section more devoted to all the different colour variations and textures that the author has come up with.

People tend to buy books like these so they don't have to spend a bunch of money on trial and error testing. And I think this book could have been a whole lot better in that department.

There is some really nice concrete work in this book that will get the imagination fired up. And there is also some pretty corny concrete work, that may turn some people off. Lots of photo's of some of the kitchens the author has done. Not exactly Johnny Grey work, but quite nice.

Even though I only gave it 3 stars, I would still recommend it. Concrete at Home

Author Fu-Tung Cheng has opened up the idea that concrete isn't just something you skinned your knee on when you were a kid. His first book "Concrete Countertops" was a great instructional book, aimed obviously at amateurs, on how to use the massive substance and form it into any desired shape. Albeit, it leaves you learning from your own mistakes on a few things left out in the book, but all in all, it introduces the reader to concrete and gets them pointed in the right direction.

With his sophomore release, "Concrete at Home", Cheng has assumingly done it again. However, what appears to be an instructional book on how to take your concrete forming ideas to the "next level", just isn't quite up to par. The book shows off over a 1000 pictures of Cheng's work, and while the work is phenomenal in design, the summarized procedures that go along with them, are hardly enough for the reader to mimic the process. Granted, it is safe to say that Cheng doesn't want to give away all of his secrets, but his procedures skip important areas. For instance, he tells the reader that they inserted rigid foam into their countertop to drastically lighten the weight, but what he fails to mention is how exactly they form rounded angles with it, and how they place it in the mold for the pour. Rigid foam isn't the easiest of materials to manipulate into a rounded shape if you're not familiar with it. Another example is Fu-Tung shows you a rough blue-print for a fireplace surround designed to go around a zero-clearance firebox. However, what he neglects to mention is whether or not you are supposed to strip your walls to the studs, insert bolts into the studs that will protrude out into the surround, and then put up green board before you pour your surround, or if you proceed based on what he shows you, assumingly pouring against your existing textured wall, with nothing to anchor it to the wall. Timber!

"Concrete at Home" is a great photo-filled marketing deliverable for Fu-Tung Cheng's business. He purposely sends the reader in the direction of creating something extravagant, but intentionally leaves out key issues so that the reader will become frustrated and in turn, give up and commission Cheng's services.

If you are a professional in the field of concrete, this book is a great visual addition to add to the rest of your concrete books.

We used this book along with Cheng's other book and DVD when making our own concrete countertops. It was very helpful to us because we did a "pour in place" countertop where you build the molds right on your existing cabinets and pour the wet concrete in the molds for a seamless finish. Cheng's method for countertops focuses mainly on building molds in your backyard or garage, pouring the concrete, and then flipping the finished pieces over so you start with a smooth finish. This book has a lot of good examples of poured in place projects, so it was helpful to use this in conjunction with Cheng's countertop book.

That people expect to have the years of knowledge and experience Mr Cheng possesses handed to them on a platter in this book. Any true craftsman wouldn't ask for that, and any novice shouldn't expect it (and particularly not for $22!). This book is a wonderful overview of the amazing qualities and possible applications of concrete. It's designed to get your mind working, and the creative juices flowing. Not as a "Concrete for Dummies" (and how flattering are those books to the average intelligence anyway?). Buy this book for inspiration, for some tips and tricks, and prepare yourself to be amazed. If you want further insight into the methodology, buy the first book as well. And despite another reviewers claims, most of Cheng's work is NOT poured on site, but in the shop, and the pictures on the website are gorgeous! Professional jealousy perhaps, but even as 'just' a coffee table piece, this book is really beautiful.

In his new book, Fu-Tung Cheng gets inspiration from timeless concrete design - found in such places as churches, theaters, hotels or antique walls - and translates it into functional elements for residential homes. It proves to the reader that it doesn't take an army of designers, architects and engineers to transform a regular home into a stylish and expressive living place. Moreover, the book points out that even a small detail - such as creating two different floor levels in a room - can achieve a striking effect while conveying a powerful message about the division of space in that particular room.

Unlike Cheng's "Concrete Countertops" (which was entirely dedicated to creating countertops), "Concrete at Home" is obviously not intended to walk the reader through the entire process of building the concrete forms it talks about. Nevertheless, the book offers a variety of useful tips and indications on what to consider when pouring concrete into different elements and forms.

"Concrete at Home" will inspire you to unleash your creativity while adding elegance and functionality to your home. If you are interested in getting practical design ideas as well as a basic understanding of interior concrete techniques, then this book will reveal a plethora of valuable information you won't find anywhere else. Two thumbs up! - Concrete - Home Design - Interior Design - Construction'

Rechargeable Batteries - mens grooming, electric razor

As an African-American military member, this is the closet shaver I have found that does not leave my face with ingrownhairs two days later. I am very impressed with it. I used to use Wahl beard trimmers turned upside down, and sometimes the BumpStopper razors. This is, by far, the best product for a very, very close shave and yet no razor bumps. If only it cost a little less, I would like to buy them as a Xmas gift for every professinal black men in my family. Wahl Professional 8061 5-star Series Deluxe Rechargeable Shaver Shaper

I've had this shaver for almost a year. CONS - the 1st thing to go out after 6 months was the ability to use it without the cord so I had to use it plugged in. The next thing to go was the foil itself. Probably because I take it everywhere.

As a black man, i've tried all the products but still got razor bumps. For the last 10 yrs, I was just using the trimmer my barber uses but I still looked like I had a 5 O'Clock shadow. One day my barber pulled out the shaver and the love affair with this razor began as my wife was loving how close the shave was compared to the old trimmer.

Some of the guys reviewing this product, in my opinion, are not using the shaver correctly and I would like to help. When I 1st tried it, I would push it hard on my face to try to get as close as possible. When I did this, I would get little bumps. I realized I was being counter-productive as the goal is a close shave NOT using force and getting below the skin-line and creating razor bumps. When I just run it across my face like it was a razor blade, I get NO razor bumps and the shave is very close. I recognize the spots on my face that I only pass once or twice as they are prone to razor bumps. For me, it is one the sides of my chin. You HAVE to use it daily or the facial hairs get to long. In that case, use the barber trimmer and then use this product.

Although it barely lasted one year, I'm about to stock up with 3 more. One for travel, one for the house and one for the car. Oh, and this Christmas, I'm getting some for some of my boys who use a blade and have bad razor bumps...

Hope this helps...

I selected this product because my barber had used it when shaving me. I was never satisfied with other shavers that I had previously used because they always left visible hairs, but found this shaver to be very satisfactory. I decided to try it for those shaves that I would need in between my trips to the barber. It does the job very well. I would recommend it to others, particularly Black men. I've had no post shave bumps or other irritation from using this device.

I tried this shaver and it was ok. I got burned the first time and it did not cut as close as i would like it to....but i think what might not work for me will work for you. For all those black men out there who are plagued with razor bumps and have tried everyway of shaving, here is a little advice: try the Andis outliner 2 trimmer and be sure you go to your local black barber and ask him to adjust the blades. Please be sure that the ones that he uses on his clients work. You want them to be close but not close enough to bite. besides that DO NOT USE RAZORS OR ANY OTHER ELECTRIC SHAVERS. Trust me. I have tried different ways and this will save you a lot of razor bumps.

I ordered this shaver because I am deployed to Iraq and I lost my previously used electric shaver(the great Remington ES-1000 Bump Control Shaver, I do not know why they discontinued this model). I was hoping that after looking over the reviews it would be a good replacement, but it caused more bumps to appear on my face! I tried to wait 2 weeks for my face to get used to it, but it failed to cut enough hair to keep me within military standards on a daily basis. Finally, this model does not have the pop up trimmer as advertised. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!

first time user of electric shavers.

ive been using this everyday now for almost a week now. first few days had MINOR irritation but with lighting my pressure and pre-shave powder sticks its been perfect ever since.

shaves super close and quick. takes me about 5 minutes if that to shave my face and neck (i have a full shaped beard tho)

cleans everything right up close and quick with very light pressure. what i really love about it is that i can shave right up to AND into my beard lines without shaving any of my beard at all (the holes on the foil are designed to shave very short hairs/stubble without cutting longer hairs) which allows me to get a clean daily shave right up to my beard lines.

ONLY downside of foil shavers (i assume all of them with the smaller holes) if you do happen to go a few days or miss a strand of hair here and there due to being in a rush youll hair to cut those hairs down a bit with something else before the shaver will catch them

i suggest a nice clean razor blade shave the first day to get everything flat and even...then from there on use the electric shaver daily.

they suggest 1-3 weeks for your skin to adjust to electric but with the help of a pre shave powder stick and daily use my skin is already used to it in less than a week.

no bumps, no reddening (unless i press hard), no irritation anymore

I never knew about this electric razor until another African-American man mentioned it about a month ago during a random conversation. I ordered, used it and I'm quite impressed. I've searched for and used numerous electric razors and all work decent on my skin. The key to using this one is pre-cutting your hair with either an edger/liner type clipper and then going over it with the Wahl. Hope this helps!

I am a 31 year old black male with very sensitive skin. I have always shaved with Andis Outliner trimmer and have desired a closer shave for years. A few years ago I tried shaving with Magic Shaving Powder like my father and that didn't work out, I had terrible in-grown hairs all over my face and neck a few days afterwards. So after stumbling upon this Wahl bump free shaver I was somewhat optimistic that maybe I'll finally be able to get that closer shave I've always desired. I only shave every 5 days ago due to my skin being sensitive. I shaved for the first time with this Wahl shaver last Thursday night the same day it was delivered by UPS. I read the instructions and it said your face needs to get used to a new shaver and to only use the Wahl shaver for a few weeks. The very next day my face was super sensitive and would sting a little if I touched my face or under my neck. Well after letting the hair on my face grow out from last Thursday to today(Tuesday) I needed to shave again to look appropriate for work and decided not to chance it with the Wahl shaver and to just use the Andis Outliner trimmer instead and couldn't believe how bad my face looked, in-grown hairs and bumps everywhere on my face and neck. You should be able to see the pictures I uploaded to see the condition of my face. I spent 30 minutes picking in-grown hairs out and now my face will need a few weeks to recover and hopefully heal. I'm repackaging this Wahl shaver and calling Amazon tomorrow and argue with the rep about giving me a refund, I feel this is false advertisement. From reading other reviews I guess maybe other black males have tougher skin than mine and maybe thats why they had better success with this shaver. I'm disappointed that I still have not found anything that can give me a closer shave than the Andis trimmer I use, but I guess I just have to accept it for now and be happy not to have any in-grown hairs or bumps after I shave. - Electric Razor - Wahl Electric Razor - Cord And Cordless - Mens Grooming'

Boys Knickers - baby aspen, clothing

We bought this for our 6month old son.. we bought the 6-9mon and like another poster, it was a bit tight on him. He wore it the Sunday before Easter, at a family get-together and was the hit of everyone. Everyone could not get over how cute the outfit was.

I would have given it a 5, if the outfit wasn't snug on him. He only wore it 2 times, but it was still worth it to me Infant & Toddler Boys Vintage Style Knickers Outfit 5-pc with Suspenders, Bowtie & Newsboy Cap (Toddlers 3T)

Disappointing purchase. Cheap fabric, threads sticking out all over suggest shoddy construction. Suspenders have gold thread (which is not apparent in the online photo) - they look feminine and tacky. Brim of hat has no support sewn into it, so it's very flimsy. Neither the hat nor the pants are lined and the fabric is very thin. I don't expect this outfit to withstand more than one laundering. I agree with the comments re:sizing. I ordered a size 3T, which should fit my son who is wearing 24-mo. to 2T. If you like the style of this outfit, you'd be better off buying a good pair of trousers that fit your baby or child and have them tailored into knickers. I bought a nicer quality newsboy cap recently at Gymboree, but I've seen them in other retail stores, too.

If you think this is going to be a good quality fabric and sewn outfit you will be disappointed. You get what you pay for it's very cheap to buy and it is very cheaply made. The hat is not a great shape and the nickers suspenders are awful. I replaced mine with different ones. I bought this for my son to use for dress up as Oliver! He also wears it with waistcoat as a scruffy chimney sweep at weddings with my husbands who sings at weddings, he looks adorable in it for about 30 mins. It looks a bit thready and scruffy, he looks like a poor little orphan in it. Perfect for those types of dress up but not for a high end wedding. If I was buying it for a child to wear for a whole day... I wouldn't, it's probably a little itchy as the materials are all cheap.

I like this outfit but I didn't have high expectations. What does one expect for $[...]!!!! Not 5 pieces of bespoke silken charm surely?

[...]

Outfit is ok, i wasnt too excited about the material/finish of it though, don't think i would have paid almost $50 dlls for this (after shipping and handling) if i would have seeing it at the store and felt the material...But over all the whole idea of the outfit was cute; i'm planning on using this for my son's 2nd birthday, don't think he'll wear it again after this, it's a cute one-time wear outfit, it'd be a good one for a vintage photo shoot as well...

We bought this for our 7 month old's dedication service. I wanted something that would make him look like a little man and this was perfect. I read other reviews before I ordered so I ordered the 9 month size which fit him perfectly. He normally wears a 6 month size because he is pretty small still (15 lbs) so consider that when placing an order. I looked at this outfit on several different websites and they were all much pricier than here on Amazon. You will love it!

I absolutely loved this outfit --but tried it on the grandson a little to late --(WAY TO SMALL) left the bottom 2 buttons undone ---then he threw up on the tie and shirt so we can't return it. Plus now no outfit for EASTER. The outfit is so CUTE and the transaction went smooth. I do wish i had read the reviews before hand. DUH!!

I bought this outfit for my 13 month old son. We had a special event to go to, and we wanted him to look special for the pictures. He was a hit! He loved to have the hat on even. The quality and the details on the outfit are excellent. And it fit him perfectly. I definetly recommend this outfit.

The sizes on this outfit really do run quite small. We had a wedding to go to and wanted our little guy to look cute. The outfit was on him, a little snug, but our son is in the 95 percentile for height so we are accustomed to things not quite fitting (we typically leave a button or two undone or something). This outfit seemed fine while I had my son laying on his back and all buttoned up. But when I picked him up he started turning red in the face and couldn't breathe. I ripped the clip on bow-tie off immediately and he immediately gasped a huge breath and started crying. Of course I felt awful for forcing the outfit on ... I layed him down to start taking the outfit off when he pealed into another scream... the suspenders had come lose in back and the metal had dug into his skin (even through the shirt). I should have bought the 9 month size for my 3 month old!! I felt aweful and my poor son felt worse. - Clothing - Baby Aspen - Baby - Boys Knickers'
