Dog Grooming Book - dog care, dogs

I bought the "Dog grooming for Dummies"because it received a lot of good reviews. However one of the reviewer commented that the book didn't provide specific "how to" but only "what" information. Also it doesn't have photos for most of the sections. I should have trusted his words. I was very disappointed with the book. The reviewer recommended this book. I bought it and was very pleased. It has a lot of "how to" information with photos. It also provides a trick that I was looking-- how to groom dog's facial hair if the dog doesn't cooperate (which is the way my dog did) -- Grab the dog's hair under its chin. There was a shih-tzu in the photo. This is exactly what I was looking for and I have a shih-tzu! Now grooming my Lilly's facial hair is no longer a problem to me. This is a small book but with a lot of helpful information! I highly recommend it! The Everything Dog Grooming Book: All you need to help your pet look and feel great! (Everything Series)

All right, to be fair, I just now started reading this book which was delivered today. I am so excited about it that I wanted to write a review before I tried some of the techniques. I'll have to update after I've applied some of the info.

This book has it all! It gives information on grooming tables, arms, restraints (loops or nooses), how to groom a nervous and/or snippy dog, how to express the anal sacs (if necessary, & you must be careful), how to groom hairy paws, all about shampooing, clippers and blade sizes & how to maintain them, tells why not to use scissor on dirty dogs(bathe them first), how to take care of the dog's teeth, even talks about food and food allergies....oh, my goodness, this book is chock full of helpful information.

I had to resort to grooming our shih-tzu because his experience with groomers was not a good one. He was cut most of the time by a groomer, not always, but enough times to make him throw up in the car the last time we took him to a groomer. I've been struggling with grooming this nervous shih-tzu for over 5 years & decided I need some equipment and a book of instructions. We keep his hair long. The equipment is on the way, & I think this book fits the bill for me. I'm anxious to read through it more thoroughly and then give it a try.

*update: I'm still lovin' this book! But you won't learn how to do a specific breed cut. You will find great basic ideas that you can apply. If you keep your shih-tzu's hair on the short side, this book explains how to trim the hair to make the dog's front legs appear to be straight. There is a deskunking recipe, how to kill fleas with dish soap; vinegar is great for yeasty skin; the correct mixture of Listerene and water in a spray bottle will make a dog's hair shine. There's lots more useful info in this well-written, informative book.

**Update: My friend just used the de-skunking recipe and said it worked!!!

I highly recommend this book for first time grooming. There are many tips to help make the experience more workable. I also recommend buying "All 87 Breed Dog Grooming"

Both books have a list of must have tools to purchase before trying to groom your dog at home. In addition, pet care, health and ear care is discussed.

I found the pictures most helpful.

I borrowed this book from the public Library. Great information, well written, a fun and enjoyable read. Great for bouncing around to look up various and useful tidbits. Am ordering one for me as soon as I am through with this review. This is my first review, but I want all to know how good it is. I like the tip about using corn starch to get mats out. Really works on my Shih-Tzu.

This book is loaded with good information on bathing, cutting toenails, the general stuff we all need to know if we are attempting to groom our own dogs. It also covers some specific problems with skin, hair, ears, and there is a whole section on dogs who are nervous when being groomed, and how to deal with different types of behaviors while grooming.

She talks about what kind of shampoo to use, however no specific (brand) recommendations for shampoos. It says to use a gentle shampoo---what exactly does that mean?? I have bought all kinds of shampoos with oatmeal or aloe, and they all claim to be helpful if your dog has sensitive or itchy skin, but until you use it on your dog, you really have no idea what you are getting.

She has some interesting information on the different types of hair - curly, wiry and how to deal with them. Also there is a very helpful section on what to do if you accidentally nick your pet while trimming.

The book has quite a bit of information about equipment and different ways to deal with badly matted coats. There are even some cute tips about using ordinary household items for grooming.

There is some information with pictures on clipping a few specific breeds that does help you understand something about clipping/cutting techniques for different hair types and to get a certain look.

All in all, the book has a great deal of good information, but I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy what I really need, which is a cd that shows me very specifically how to clip my dog.

I recently adopted a rescue dog that had been abused. He was badly in need of clipping so I took him in to a professional groomer. It was very traumatizing. I ordered this book to see whether I could groom him at home at his own pace. He won't need it until spring but I feel like with the help of this book I can do a reasonably good job.

I reviewed the written reviews on this book before I purchased it but what they did not tell me is that this book contained so many things that I needed to know in order to actually groom my dog. The little things that are really important. For the novice it gives you details and tricks of the trade that certainly make the process easier and I would highly recommend this book. - Dog Grooming Book - Dog Care - Dogs - Pet Care'

Xm Radio - satellite radio, pioneer

I bought an Xmp3 player from Amazon about a week ago. I have to write that it became almost difficult to buy one because I read all manner of both rave and poor reviews. In the end I took a leap of faith and bought one despite identifying with some poor reviewers. The principle poor I read here was absolutely wrong and I want to address that here because the leap of faith I took was in deciding that the poor review was written by someone who likely didn't know how to operate the device.

The poor review stated that you had to view all the channels and could not save favorites so that you could easily go to the channels you like easily. Frankly I couldn't believe that, bought one anyway, and found the feature the review stated was not there in all of 5 seconds. And I am first-time XM device owner and subscriber.

So I want to accomplish two things in this small review. I want to say if you are too stupid to use the device, don't bother writing a review about it. You scare me and anyone else looking for credible information on a device. I just can't stand it when write bad reviews with less then all the facts. This rotten reviewer could have spent a few seconds with the device without even reading the manual and found the settings. It's right on the menu and so I am lead to believe this person has some ax to grind because no one is that stupid to miss the feature.

I do have some complaints, but for the most part, anyone would like this device.

The xmp3 has a very simple menu system on the device itself. You start off by being able to see all channels in a long list or seeing them by group. Once you find a channel you like, click options, then click Add to Favorites. It's so simple I don't know how one bad reviewer missed it. There is a paper channel guide sitting on top of the manual too. So if you just want to type in a channel, like 129, just press the keypad button and type it in. So in just 2 steps you are into whatever channel you want. I know CNN is 122, so I can go to my favorites, or just punch it in. I can't see how to make that any easier.

Someone here mentioned signal problems. I very much want to cover this because that also scared me. I live in San Francisco. And I take public transportation all the time. Buses, BART, I walk, etc. Some city streets allow just 2-way traffic. One lane for cars in each direction. If I walk on those narrow streets with 2 to 3 story houses on both sides, then the signal cuts out. If I want on wider streets, it's fine. And there are two kinds of signals. Terrestrial and Satellite. You can get one or the other, or both. And there is a setting in the options that shows you both signals while the music or news plays. So you will see how little signal you need to get the programming. Unlike regular radio, a limited signal does not mean poor quality. It's all you need to get the full experience. It's digital, so it's perfect or it's not. It doesn't need full strength to get a perfect audio output. This is important. Now, the Xmp3 came with a home kit, and I bought an extra one for work. I didn't have to mount the antenna outside at all. Just place it on a window ledge and watch the antenna signal. Aim it around and watch the signal response. It's stupid-easy. I did the same thing at my office. So when I am home or at the office, I plug the xmp3 into the doc, which is already plugged into the external antenna and I get great audio. It comes with a remote control with every home kit. A pair of self powered $20 speakers is all you need to use these with the home kits. It works fantastically and you need only the one device.

Some wondered if you can truly record more than one station at a time. Yes, you can. Keep this in mind because it's important and I'll explain why in the next paragraph where I explain the battery issues also raised in review.

Some complain the battery only lasts for 4 to 5 hours in live mode. First, live means you are listening to Xmradio live, and not recorded. The XMP3 player can play MP3s, WAVs, and recorded XM radio, plus live XM Radio. There is an easy way to extend the use of the radio to meet anyone's enjoyment needs. I have owned 5 iPods, 4 Zunes, 3 Zen Players, and 2 Rios, plus a Sansa. I have listened to over 200 audible books. I listen to podcasts more than anyone I ever met. I've been listening to portable audio for over a decade. So Xmp3 has a lot to live up to. I'm just as tough on a device as anyone else.

I want to give a quick example of how I use it and you can apply this to the battery issue. Because my method solves all the problems of battery, signal, etc in my opinion. So open those eyes wider and pay attention. The reality that this records 5 stations at once is the key. In the morning before the New York Stock Exchange Opening bell, I am up and getting ready for work. I record CNN, Bloomberg, and CNBC at the same time for about an hour. I can mostly listen to one of those live as I get ready for work, but the other 2 are recorded at the same time. When I hit the street to take my bus, I listen to the other recorded programs to avoid any signal issues. The information is still fresh, and I get no signal problem as I did record this while the unit is mounted into the external antenna. Playing back recorded programming, audible books, or mp3s makes the battery last 16 hours. So my point is, when you are listening to something live take the opportunity to record other stations so you maximize your listening time. It's easy, and it works well. And you get to use the device all day. Again at 4:00PM at work I set it to record the stations I want for an hour. So that at 5:00PM when I leave, I am listening to recorded shows from 1 hour ago and again, little battery drain, and no signal problems on the way home because it's recorded playback. What's the difference in listening to 1 hour ago programming? In fact, it's better. Let me explain why. When you record a channel for 60 minutes or more and then play it back, you can skip ads as easily as you can hit the "Next" button. The recorded shows are divided up by every change. If a ad comes up, it's considered a segment which can be skipped in playback. So when I listen to record news, I can quickly listen to the news by skipping ads. And it's even easier than a tivo! Just one tap of skip, skips one ad. If there are 3 ads in a row, you can skip 1, 2, and 3 times to skip all three ads. Easy as pie and you'll love it. So believe me, you want to take advantage of recorded shows when you go for a walk. You skip the bull, get perfect audio, and can listen just like live or skip ads. Up to you.

So I have to say, in terms of the device itself, it's a 5 star device. After reading poor reviews, I'm glad I tried it anyway. If you are on the fence, go for it. You will see as I have see that the device is fantastic. That's where the rave reviews come from. Those are from those folks that have a brain in their head and don't have some ax to grind.

Now I do have gripes, but they have to do with the XM2Go Music software. This software is not a music manager as you might think. It should not be compared to iTunes or Media Monkey, because it's honestly not a music manager at all. It's more of an upload tool to upload mp3s or WAV files to the device. Read on...

I thought the XM2GO app would be a full music manager, but rather what it does is allow you to easily setup a program record time if that's what you want. You can use it to upload music to your SD card. But the best way to do this is by organizing what you want to upload to the device into a single folder before you upload it. If you already have a full music collection on your hard drive that is stored in the file system by artist and you want a small subset of favorite tunes, you're going to go crazy with XM2GO because you will have to pick one by each song using a director tool in XM2GO to hand pick each song and choose upload. It's insanely stupid.

I use Media Monkey instead of iTunes. And in Media Monkey, I can take my favorites playlist and sent a copy of the songs in that playlist to a folder on my desktop in Windows. Then I use XM2GO to upload the contents of that single folder to the SD card. This gives me my favorite MP3s on the XMP3. I find this the fastest, easiest way to deal with the extremely lousy XM2GO software, which didn't even come with my player. I had to download it. The one real complaint I have with the XMP3 player is not with the device. It's with the Music app from XP / Pioneer. These two companies absolutely blew it on the software. You can work around this as I said, but it would have been great to have a more full-featured music app so that you can easily manage podcasts and mp3 playlists on the device. The way it's done now makes me want to visit with Pioneer and XM and slap these stupid programmers. I don't know why it is so hard for these companies to see what needs to be done to make something simple and enjoyable to use. It's as if they have no brains in their skulls, and know that's not true. It's not a show-stopper. I'd buy the device all over again even knowing what I know now.

You can add audible content to the Xmp3, but not on the SD card. It goes on the devices built in memory. And recorded XM radio also goes on the device memory. So the SD card is truly good for MP3s and WAV files.

Now a few other points for first -time XM people. If you use the web app to play content online you can click a button and buy the song from Amazon. I love this feature. So listening via a laptop over the internet is a good idea and can help you discover new songs to buy. BUT! And I mean BUT, some stations are not available online. No Bloomberg or CNBC for example. Don't count on every station being there exactly the same way as on the device. Because of this, I strongly recommend getting a home kit for your home and office. If you just think it through a little you'll find that the battery, being mobile, etc are all not a real problem. Even for those walking around dense cities as I am. Johnsons Adult - lotions, lotion

As a dentist who washes his hands about 20-plus times daily, my hands really get dry and cracked - even to the point of occasional bleeding. Combine this with an extremely dry and cold winter, and my skin has taken a real beating.

I started using Softlotion Extracare about a week ago and almost immediately, my skin improved to the point that it is no longer dry and irritated. I used to use a lotion that had no baby oil in it, but found that the lotion had to be reapplied frequently during the day, as it seemed to soak in or vanish over time. A friend advised me to put on the lotion and then cover with vaseline. This helped, but it was also a greasy mess. Johnson's Softlotion Extra Care has baby oil in it which leaves a protective covering on the skin and prevents it from dying out. Thus, the collagen lotion stays put under the baby oil and damaged dry skin heals.

I paid $4.70 for this product individually, so a lot of four at this price is very competitive.

If you find you are putting lotion on many times a day, try this product. I put it on in the AM and before bed, and it has done wonders.

Jim Koenig Johnson's Body Care, Deep Hydrating Extra Dry Skin Lotion, 14 Ounce Pump Bottles (Pack of 2)

I received a free sample of this lotion and was sold! It isn't greasy and soaks well into the skin. The fragrance is wonderful and, while it smells like baby lotion, it is made for adult skin. I love it!

Really like this version of Johnson's lotion.. it is not greasy and absorbs quickly with a very mild, pleasantly neutral smell. Only issue I have is that towards the end of the bottle, the pump does not dispense -this, however, is not a lotion issue, but a container design flaw. - Moisturizer - Skin Lotion - Lotions - Lotion'

Matte Finish - paper, matte finish

I recently picked up an Epson 3880 and have been experimenting with various Epson media. This paper is stiff enough to handle easily, give you something solid to mat, yet still multi-feed into the printer. The surface is brighter white than most of the watercolor paper I use for my ink drawings, and it creates a very nice print as a result. I don't do photo work, so I cannot comment on that, but stepping up to the ultra premium was definitely worth the price difference for fine art reproductions. There is one small problem with all of the Epson papers I've received so far. The top left corner of every stack of paper has been very slightly crunched inside the box, and the boxes have been undamaged. Apparently, something in the loading or handling process at the factory causes the problem. I notified Epson, but never heard anything back. Since I am matting my prints, which covers this very small defect, it has not deterred me from using their papers, but if you're doing a flush mount without any edge coverage, it may cause you a problem. Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper Matte, 13 x 19 Inch, 50 sheets (S041339)

I've been a fan of this paper for years. For the price, it is amazing. The tonal range and color gamut it has is about as good as it gets on matte paper. I use it primarily for book portfolios, where the light weight is an advantage and plastic protects the delicate surface, which is prone to marring. It is also perfect for proofs that you want to mark up with notes.

BUYER BEWARE! This seller scammed me! I ordered 4 boxes of 13x19" Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper (5 star grade) as it shows in the picture but when I got them, the boxes said 11x17" Premium Presentation Paper (3 star grade)!!!

The 3 star grade is flimsy like normal generic paper, not stiffer cardstock like the Ultra Premium. Terrible, will never do business with again! - Matte Finish - Photo Paper - 11x17 - Paper'

Touch Screen Stylus - touch screen stylus, ipad

So, it seems like the iPad stylus getting all the attention and adoration is the Pogo Sketch Stylus. Having just spent a week using it, I can honestly say it's a piece of crap. The tip is overly soft and flops back and forth while you write. It also requires that you press entirely too hard before the iPad senses it. I now take all my meeting notes on my iPad, and the Pogo Sketch was too thin which, combined with the amount of pressure required, makes longer note-taking sessions actually a bit painful.

So, at my co-worker's suggestion, I ordered the BoxWave stylus. It's a thousand times better. The tip is more firm and rounded, so it doesn't move while using it. It feels more like a real pen, instead of a bad paintbrush. I suppose it costs a few bucks more, but it's worth it. Going from the Pogo Sketch to the BoxWave was like going from a Toyota Yaris to an Audi R8.

Actually, that's insulting to the Toyota... BoxWave Capacitive iPad Stylus (Jet Black)

I was debating between the less expensive pogo sketch and this Boxwave stylus. I made the right choice. A co-worker of mine purchased the pogo sketch and we tested both pens on our notebook applications on the iPad. The Boxwave pen was easily registered by multiple different notebook programs on the iPad at a normal writing angle. The pogo sketch required an odd (almost perpendicular) angle to be picked up consistently. It is more expensive (at least when I purchased) but the Boxwave stylus is my clear choice since it is the more practical stylus for anyone who wants to use the stylus to write on the iPad on a regular basis.

I used the pogo stylus for two months before I lost it. Looking at the reviews on Amazon, I decided to check out the boxwave. Paired with penultimate, the best sketchbook and note taking app on the iPad, I no longer use pen and paper. It's that good. The tip on boxwave is far more responsive and the body of the pen feels substantial. Apple should adopt this as an official accessory for the iPad.

I had bought the Pogo Stylus and within a day the clip broke off. A couple of weeks later I ordered this Boxwave stylus from Amazon and it turned out to be significantly better and actually usable without fatiguing my hand. The key differences are:

1. The Pogo tip is soft like a sponge so it moves back and forth (often I thought the tip would fall off) and it requires too much pressure on the iPad. The Boxwave tip is a firmer and smoother material and is rounded; it does not require as much pressure for the iPad to consistently recognize it. The tip also does not move around when writing. Great for drawing and handwriting recognition.

2. The Pogo stylus is too thin so it is very difficult to use for extended periods especially with the extra pressure it requires; the hand get fatigued quickly. I stopped using the Pogo after the first couple of days. The Boxwave is the right thickness and weight so on the iPad it feels like using a pencil or a pen.

3. The plastic clip on the Pogo broke off the first day. The Boxwave has a stronger metal clip.

4. The Boxwave stylus has a removable, short lanyard that attaches the pen to the headphone jack of the iPad so you don't lose it. (but you do have to pull it out to use because the lanyard is not long enough). The Pogo stylus has no lanyard.

The Boxwave stylus is definitely worth the extra money and it comes in four different colors.

My first impression of taking this out of the case is that I was going to drop it. It seemed too light for a writing implement, not heavy enough to stay in my hand. I thought this was just the nature of the beast but my husband picked up a Targus Stylus and -- even though it has the same tip -- the barrel is heavier and textured and easier to hold.

The tip is excellent, though, and it works very well. It's the soft, rubbery kind of tip and I didn't feel like it was harming the screen of my iPad at all. I would have liked it had it only weighed a little more.

This stylus is 4 1/4" long from the tip that touches the iPad screen to the end, not including the part to which the included holder comes attached (the string part that can be inserted into the iPad audio out jack). A Mont Blanc ballpoint pen I own is 5 1/2" long (when the ballpoint tip is retracted).

I have large hands, so although I would prefer a larger capacitive iPad stylus because it would be easier for me to comfortably hold, I do appreciate that the tip of the stylus allows me more (though less than ideal) accuracy when handwriting, drawing, and painting on the iPad (using apps such as Penultimate and Sketchbook Pro) than I can get with my fairly broad fingertips.

I removed the string thing as soon as I got the stylus, as it felt funny to use the stylus with that thing hanging off it, and I don't really see where I would need to have the stylus physically attached to the iPad (plus I'm a tad reticent about putting anything in the audio out jack other than audio plugs). The string thing, in case you're interested, is about 2" long.

This is the first capacitive iPad stylus I've owned and while I expected a stubby tip (unlike the tips on styluses for electronics with non-capacitive screens such as Nintendo DS and Wacom pen tablets), I didn't know how stubby it would be. It's a heck of a lot smaller (less stubby) than the tips of my pinkies. The stylus tip is just a little larger in diameter than the unused eraser on a generic pencil (an Eberhard Faber American 2 HB). And the stylus tip is apparently hollow and is a dome-like shape. Pressing it with a fingertip is kind of like touching the rubber end of a very small medicine dropper; it has that kind of give. (After writing this review I had to see if the rubber bulb of a medicine dropper would work on an iPad screen. The screen didn't respond at all.)

If and when my BoxWave stylus wears out (or I lose it, or more likely in my case, I step on it and crush it - klutz that I am, I dropped it in the toilet since writing this, it survived after being rinsed, then towel dried and dried with a hair drier), I will investigate other brands before buying a replacement, in hopes that I could find a longer (more standard pen size) capacitive stylus. Like most of accessories for the iPad on the market, this accessory is overpriced, but I'm nevertheless glad I purchased it because it does enable me to do things on my iPad that I could not otherwise do (when using apps such as the ones I mention above). I should add that I do not as of yet have a screen protector on my iPad, so I cannot comment on how this stylus works on an iPad that has a screen protector. In addition to making it easier for me to use handwriting, drawing, and painting apps on the iPad, it also makes it easier for me to tap precise locations when necessary, such as when using the Safari browser. - Ipad - Touch Screen Stylus - Boxwave - Stylus'

This item looks great in my 8 year old son's new NY Yankees bedroom. He is so proud of it -- he shows everyone when they come in his room. The "tin" adds a nice quality to it. Just be aware, though, that if you have beige light switches it will definitely contrast with the white switchplate. You may need to change the light box to a white switch if that concerns you. I received this item today and I have 2 remarks. Like a previous reviewer said, the tool support is very bad and as shown in the product photograph, the blades section does not fit inside the lid. I will have to try and glue it to the lid. The second problem is that the hinges of box which I received were all broken. Other than these two issues, everything else were fine. Xacto X5087 Deluxe Hobby Tool Set

I rate this deluxe set 5 stars. This product is worth the money. The set was received in good condition and there were no issues found with the hinges or the box and all parts were received. I have not used all of the parts, but the ones I tried worked well, and all visually appeared to be of good quality. The tool handles in this kit did not use a breakable plastic collet mount as some of the poorer quality sets do--they were made of metal--and all straight blades I checked were about 0.025 thick and were sturdy and did not flex or bend like I have seen in lower quality sets.'

Hand Wraps - mma, muay thai

Prior to this pair, I had gone through 3 sets of Everlast wraps, none of which lasted past the 2 month mark, mostly due to poor velcro construction. However, after a month of use, these wraps still look like new and I plan to order 1 or 2 more sets. Boxing/MMA Handwraps 180" Mexican Style Elastic 1 Pair BLACK

I LOVE these wraps.. GREAT quality! These hold up better than my TITLE wraps. What I also love about these is that the wraps dont get all wrinkled up and run like some other wrap do..I highly recommend it!

i'm pretty stoked about these wraps! im new to boxing, and do it for fitness. since i am in a wheelchair, i have to be extra careful about my hands - any misstep, any minor injury hurts me exponentially more than an able bodied user, because it would affect my driving, opening doors, pretty much everything. my hands are everything to me. thank God they are strong, as I have been careful for 8 years; but I need to keep pushing them - so i turned to hitting the heavy bag. i cannot settle for less than 5 star products when it comes to my hands. i read the rave reviews and i knew i had to get these. These are my first handwraps, and they feel great.

i encourage other PWDs out there to hit the bag, as it gives a great workout and strengthens your hands even more!

very fast shipping from san francisco to my location on the central coast of Cali. STOKED!

these wraps are great quality cotton, with just the right amount of stretch. my old wraps are all loose after a few washes, but even after 3 months and multiple washes these are holding up very well. i bought these with the 16 oz gloves from the same seller- excellent customer service

I had been using the harder cotton Everlast wraps for a solid 2 years and recently tried the Pro Impact wraps and the difference is stark. The material in the Pro Impact wraps adheres to each layer very nicely giving you a much better fit. The stability is comparable to quick-wrap in that regard. Also, this makes for easier and faster hand-wrapping. There's a nice level of give in the fabric as well, much more comparable to fight-day gauze than a training wrap.

Best training wraps I've ever used.

I do bag work with boxing gloves and they fit the activity perfect. Find a good way to wrap your hands tho ive tried a few ways of how to vids and some arent good. I like the tutorial were you wtap between fingers. Wraps are stretchy and god quality. Perfect length dont ever buy shorter you need 180'.

A great handwrap. The velcro at the end spans the entire width of the wrap (unlike other ones which just have a strip of velcro), so it is less likely to loosen.

The only complaint I have is that I ordered black, but I got a blue one. I will still use it as it is a quality product, but it's disappointing because I specifically wanted black. However, this is an issue with the company, not the product, so the product still receives five stars.

To complement our Pro-Impact boxing gloves, our university professors/coaches recommend us to protect our hands and wrists with high-grade Pro-Impact 180" handwraps. Almost all of the students enrolled in the for-credit introductory to advanced boxing classes trust the safety, support, and protection afforded by these wraps. The hand and wrist protection and reinforcement is definitely felt and appreciated by the boxers especially when hitting heavy bags and training mitts. The university has a reputable and competitive boxing program so the coaches/professors inspect, try, and test products and only use and recommend the best quality for the students and members like me. I have used name-brand handwraps and the quality of Pro-Impact is comparable and competitive.
