Marvel Comics
Shirt's awesome. Super soft, and the logo is perfectly centered. Fits snug and looks great on a slim guy like myself.
No complaints at all.
NOTE: I do believe the shirt isn't pre-shrunk. So remember to wash it in cold water and to hang it to dry, DO NOT put it in the dryer for its first wash! Marvel Comics Captain America Shield Men's Navy T-shirt L
I was very excited when the shirt arrived. I ripped open the box, pulled off the tags, and threw it on to see how it looked. Imagine my surprise when the shield image was so off-centered that it was almost in my armpit! Don't know what kind of quality control these folks are using, but they should ramp it up a bit.
When I heard Captain america was being made into a movie...a childhood dream was fulfilled! i had to get a shirt to wear to the movie and when I saw this I thought old-school with a new twist. It is a s oft comfortable shirt that looks great. It fits well and when washed did not shrink. I would recommend it if you like Captain America.
When they say Navy blue.. they MEAN Navy blue. The shirt was nothing like the image. It's INCREDIBLY dark blue, I was hoping for a more vintage blue as pictured on the image. And a heads up: The shield, while "distressed" is silk screened on, meaning it'll start cracking and peeling eventually. I figured by the picture that it was inked, but boy was I wrong. Overall, it's an alright shirt, nothing amazing.
I had to find the definitive Captain America T-Shirt since I didn't want to look like a poster child. I wanted something tasteful and definitely not over the top. The shield design is slightly weathered in appearance and its licensed marvel comics wear as advertized. I don't feel like I'm wearing a kid shirt... It was shipped super fast with a tracking email... Super job!!

Programmable Thermostat - hunter, 7-day
This thermostat is worth every penny! It does exactly what it should do, and the instructions were perfect for my heating/cooling system. I didn't have any problems putting it in.
What the other review didn't mention is that this thermostat has extra features over the other Hunter models. The big difference is the Energy usage information. It tracks the amount of time that the system was on today, yesterday, this week, last week, and total since you installed it. It's neat being able to come home and see that the air conditioning was on for only 30 minutes, or on for 2 hours. This helps you figure out how your thermostat settings are affecting your real energy usage. It also has a filter reset reminder, which tracks the number of hours that the system has been used with the current filter. This is useful, since most filters say they last 3 months. But the real lifetime of the filter is based on how much air has been blown through it. You could run it for 12 hours a day, and it might only last one month. On the other hand, you could run it only 10 minutes a day, and it would probably last 6 months. With the filter reminder, it's able to tell you when you truly need to replace the filter.
Also, the backlight works perfectly in my opinion. It only stays on for 5 seconds after you stop pushing any buttons. So if you are programming things, then it continually stays on until you are done programming. Plus, if you are just checking the current temperature or setting, 5 seconds is more than enough time to read a 2-digit number. I love this thermostat, and recommended it to a friend who loves it as well. It's much lower-priced compared to other competitors like Honeywell, and has a nice, simple interface. The blue backlight is gorgeous as well, and other brands don't all offer an indiglo backlight like this one does. There really isn't anything I don't like about this product. I HIGHLY recommend it! Hunter Fan Company 44360 7-Day Energy Star Programmable Thermostat
After about 2 weeks use, I am very pleased with this thermostat. It works as advertised, is easy to set up (don't know what the other reviewer was talking about...if anything about this would be difficult, it would be the way your existing wiring is set up, NOT the way this thermostat sets up. It's a totally standard installation for this type of unit), and the blue indiglo looks really nice when it comes on. I also like how all but 3 buttons are concealed by the front swing-down lid, which gives it a cleaner, simpler look as opposed to resembling something you'd see in a cockpit. The features are pretty much the same you'd get on comparable models, PLUS my favorite of all, the energy monitor function. I'm sort of a geek when it comes to stats and energy use, weather, etc. and it's fun to keep track of how much time your system worked for during each day, week...it makes it easier to predict your next heating/cooling bill. Most of the competing thermostats cost 2-3 times as much as this, and I don't like the aesthetic quality of the others as much as this one.
Now, on to this "word of caution" I mentioned in the subject line. I almost gave this product an angry 1-star review, but I'm glad I waited it out. I'm not sure if this was an issue with this specific product, or an issue common to all digital thermostats, but the first one I ordered had a defective thermometer. It was reading 3 degrees F. below the actual temperature. When I first powered the thermostat, I placed it next to the digital one I was replacing, as well as a third analog thermometer for comparison. I put them all next to each other in several different spots in my house, and let them regulate for 10 minutes before checking. Sure enough, every time the Hunter read 3 degrees too low, so I knew it was defective. I called Hunter's tech support and they said I would need to return it to the place I bought it because there's no way to fix it. At first I was peeved because since I bought it online, I would have to pack it, go to the post office and ship it...luckily I was in a good mood that day, and Amazon has a great replacement policy. I had a new replacement the very next day, and I ran the same comparison tests. This one was spot on with the other two.
So, the moral of the story is, make sure your thermometer is accurate! If I hadn't noticed the discrepancy and just hooked it up and went about my business, I would be wasting money by heating my house an unnecessary amount. That would have canceled out the whole energy-efficient point of these things - and then some. True, I probably would have noticed "hey, it feels warmer than 68...", but maybe not. All in all, I love this thing!
This unit represents a good value. It has lots of thoughtful features, such as a button to tell it that you are home for the day and want the heat to stay on, and a meter than tells you how many hours of heat you have been using. It also offers plenty of programming flexibility that you would have to pay more for with products from other manufacturers.
I also use the backlit 5-2 Honeywell. The Honeywell costs more, has fewer features, and in my view, at least, is not meaningfully easier to program, and is certainly no easier to use on a daily basis. I felt the Hunter had better installation instructions. The Honeywell's biggest strength is that it is smaller. Using it, I often find myself wishing it had some of the features found on the Hunter.
My biggest gripe with this Hunter model is that the backlight makes an annoying, high pitch noise. It is also a little too large for my taste. Dollar for dollar, though, versus the competition, this is money well spent.
I selected this thermostat as a replacement for my original that came with the house and had only two functions, on and off, both selections being manual. After vigorously accomplishing research and comparing features, I compared two brands, Honeywell and Hunter. Realizing my defunct thermostat was a Honeywell, I opted for the Hunter for several other reasons, such as cost, and return on investment. This thermostat is programmable, and will pay for itself in a matter of several electrical billing cycles for the summer with air conditioning in demand, or a winter season.
It was so darn easy to install, that if you are capable of screwing in two screws and connecting your thermostat wires that are color coded, you can not go wrong. It may be a good idea to see which wires are connected to your old thermostat first and then write the information down on a piece of paper so you can re-wire the new thermostat using the color coding of the old thermostat to avoid any issues. I merely attached the back plate, connected the wires and inserted two AA batteries and was going in less than ten minutes. It was easier to program than Tivo and comes pre-programmed with an energy savings plan. These settings can be kept or customized freely.
This green thermostat tells a story. How long the AC or heat has been on throughout the day, the past days of the week, or the entire week and can be programmed daily which really worked for me. I wished all thermostats came with the amount of features that this one did, as it would have made my selection much more difficult. - Progammable Thermostat - 7-day - Hunter - Thermostat'

Lockets - locket
I just bought this vintage reproduction necklace and it is Awesome! The long chain is quite fancy....it's long enough to wrap around my neck twice! My only complaint is that I'm not sure how to put the pictures in?? each spot for a pic is really small and there isn't any clear film to protect your pictures =/ I'll probably wear it as-is, and find a better locket for pictures. So just keep that in mind. 1928 Boutique Vintage Collection Rotating Locket Trio Long Necklace
This locket arrived with the photo spaces super-glued to the sides. It is not a solid piece of jewelry. The lockets were uneven and the glue was visible-yuck! I returned it immediately. It looks nothing like the photo listed.
I bought this locket for it's uniqueness although a bit skeptical whether it would truly resemble the one pictured, but it turned out it did. I love the chain length! Although I don't think I'll be using it for pictures since it's so small (not that I bought it for that reason anyway) there's no glue visible and I had no problems opening it. Overall, I'm quite satisfied!
The glue does in fact show through where the picture frames were glued on..and the one I received has one of the frames put on backwards...so that two of the frames open up back to back...its really annoying.
For $30 jewelry, this looks like its worth about ten bucks. Tops.
I would not buy from this company again.
I received the exact item i thought i was purchasing. The gold coloring is good and would fool the common jewelry junkie. I had no issues with glue (doesnt even seem like glue is used for this product). It's so much fun to spin and doesnt seem to be breaking anytime soon. The chain is a perfect length, but has a VERY cheap/broken clasp (SUPER EASY FIX). I think ill have to glue my pics in it b/c there doesnt seem to be any other way which is fine. The locket parts all close very tightly and dont seem to be flying open or breaking anytime soon. Cant wait to put my 3 black cats' pics in it and show it off! LOOKS VINTAGE/antique. DEF GOOD BUY. careful of the clasp. just grab your plyers or even your front teeth and put a new one on. I was surprised at the weight. VERY HEAVY in weight which would make ppl think it's at the least silver with gold plating :-)
I was hoping the other reviews for this necklace would turn out to be exaggerations but this necklace broke the first time I wore it. It's very pretty and fun to fiddle with but the chain looks cheap. One of the lockets came off in my hand and I wasn't even pulling on it. It just popped off. It shouldn't be hard to glue it back on but at this price point I was hoping for something better.
The design is super cool though!
This rotating vintage locket and chain together create an extremely unique, exciting and beautiful piece of jewelry. I can tell this is going to be my favorite necklace. When I saw it I got that giddy childlike feeling you get when you are very happy with something. I thought immediately of similar reaction's this item was going to get from 3 other recipients for family birthday gifts. The video and picture's of this locket and necklace depicts them accurately. It's is a nice weight and chain is nice and long and support's the weight of the necklace. This necklace shimmer's gold in the light and is extremely eye catching. The box it comes in is sturdy and attractive also. It comes with a soft jewelry bag as well to protect it during storage.
Because the locket is a replica of a vintage 1928 necklace, the design is 'old fashioned', yet, it also looks as though this could be current fine custom jewelry piece. It catches the light as it rotates and gives the appearance of a real gold jewelry piece. I really feel this necklace is a bargain at its price, because it is beautiful and unique, but also because it does give the appearance and feel of a fine jewelry piece. I think it is a sturdy and solid piece of jewelry, but I will be able to tell more so of course after wearing it over the course of time. It is a piece I will take good care of.
The Sister that had her birthday on July 9th absolutely loves her necklace and called me just to tell me so. She sounded excited (as I was) and relayed that she was wearing it 'now', and that she had worn it the entire day everywhere. She relayed to me that I had given her a really great gift. I bought my Daughter a few gifts for her birthday this year. My Daughter's birthday is on July 15th. I gave her one of her gifts just today 7/13/2011, but she does not know about this gift yet and won't until her birthday. I have a feeling she will also be exuberant. It really is a beautiful piece you want to wear, a lot.
I ordered these with Standard Shipping (USPS) and all but one arrived and was lost through USPS; not the Seller (Amazon's) fault. However, the fact that this was the only one that I was unable to track and had to notify Amazon twice that I was unable to, 2 email inquiries and 11 Day's later, there was finally an amicable resolution. First Amazon credited my shipping cost I was charged for the lost item and in turn offered a 1 Day Delivery, free of charge and a necklace replacement without another charge to my account for the lost USPS item.
So although the missing gift is late, and I cannot change the lateness of my gift, it is finally going to get to its intended destination, by an estimated arrival date of July 15th, 2011 (I ordered it July 2nd, 2011). It is my hope that the Sister that is getting this gift late will adore and appreciate this piece of jewelry. Sometimes things just don't quite go the way you think they should.
Lastly, I think once she open's the bubble pack it comes in with a very nice gift box and attractive jewelry bag to store it in, all will be forgiven. This Sister, whose birthday was on July 4th, will hopefully be receiving her necklace on July 15th, 2011 as planned. I can't wait for her to receive and open it. The anticipation is hard to take!!!
I will be ordering at least 2 more of these because I have two more ladies with birthday's (next year) who I also know would greatly appreciate a gift such as this.
P.S. I do look forward to better package tracking from both Amazon & USPS so that problems such as this can be identified and rectified much earlier in the process. All my other packages in transit I was able to track. I think that might be a good indicator to Amazon in the future that something is wrong if you can track all but one package on a multiple order of the same thing? Just my 2 cents, whatever its worth.
UPDATE 8/4/2011 - My Sister did receive the item on time the second time it was shipped and truly loves the necklace.
I did call Amazon again because again the tracking was not transparent, so they personally tended to the tracking piece and kept me notified by phone of exactly what was going on until the item was delivered. The first one simply disappeared from USPS, so they resent the item at no additional cost and through UPS instead.
Thank's so much for making sure my Sister received her gift. Very much appreciated. She emailed me that it was well worth the wait and that she absolutely 'love's it!' - Locket'

Informative - informative, magazine
A stylish and witty addition to the underpopulated dog magazine scene, Modern Dog is a finely crafted and informative quarterly. Its foundation is geared for the purebred (that is to say unrepentant) dog lover, and from that springs articles on dog art and illustrators, living arrangements with dogs, high fashion and style, book reviews and recipes. In short, the assumption is that anyone interested in dogs is an interesting person with a need to be visually and intellectually stimulated. What a arch magazine this is. How clever to pair an article on summer wines with appropriate recipes ... and illustrate the same with a dog in a straw sombrero ready to party. And if there's a trend in human fashion to be explored, that trip is going to be taken with a dog in tow. The photography and styling in this magazine is inspired, doggy and fun. Plus, there is ART to behold. Articles on accomplished illustrators, outsider and funky art. The art blends in with dog stories and book reviews, which leads into articles on travelling with dogs.A good read, a good sit to be taken with your favorite dog in your favorite chair. Or, if you're dog-deprived, a good way to lessen the pain.Modern Dog is a magazine worth reading. Modern Dog
I picked up my first copy of Modern Dog recently and I LOVE it! The style, the photos, even the ads are all exceptional. I have never bought a dog magazine before because, in my opinion, they have not been very appealing to me. BUt Modern Dog has that edge to it - very cool and very well written. Thank "DOG" somebody finally published something that is just perfect for me and my dog. I highly recommend that you check out this magazine.
My new favourite magazine! Beautiful photos, smart and entertaining articles, fashion, art, exclusive celebrity interviews... all with a dog focus! Cover models range from Paris Hilton and Tinkerbell to Virginia Madsen and her dogs. Thanks to Modern Dog I now know how to throw a dog-friendly cocktail party (complete with hors d'oeuvres for both two- and four-legged guests) AND actually get my dog to come when she's called. Definitely worth checking out.
Modern Dog magazine is especially perfect for those who own small dogs and/or live in urban areas. The magazine is well-written, full of timely articles, and includes ads from unique merchants. I have a Lab and two Boston Terriers so I feel that I am included in their target audience; however, this magazine does include something for everyone who has a dog and wants the best for it, even if it isn't a smaller dog. I like how edgy the magazine is and this is why I think it's more tailored for urban dwellers.
If you are a dog parent (and not a parent of a child) this is a MUST! This magazine will allow you to keep up on all the fun & exciting outfits and products offered for your fabulous fur baby! If you are a modern dog parent you'll want to subscribe to Modern Dog. Like any good parent magazine - you'll find information needed to care for your fido! The magazine will keep you up to date on modern trends and happening places. Of course, if you're not a true dog parent and have children, you will still love the magazine!!! Enjoy!
This mag is difficult to find on the newstand, but is worth subscribing to. It is definitely a fun and enjoyable magazine geared to those of us who are a little nutty over their dogs. It isn't for the dog professional, or breeders, or show people -- but for us average folk who have "pets" that they just love.
The mag contains good articles, and unlike other magazines -- the advertisements are incredibly useful as well. It is sometimes hard to know what's out there for dogs -- but this magazine's advertisers have a good target audience, and I've seen things here that I'd never have known about otherwise!
Recommended!
I've not subscribed to a pet magazine since middle school when I couldn't get enough of Cat Fancy and the pictures of all the adorable, fluffy kitties. Now, content is more important than pictures, and Modern Dog delivers. I read every issue cover to cover and have yet to recycle one because they are so full of information. Everything from food to training to breed quirks to pet friendly businesses are covered. The product reviews are thorough and cover a wide variety (and price range) of products. The holiday 2010 issue had several pages of gift ideas, and I was surprised that so many items shown were actually affordable. Many times pet magazines showcase items that are out of almost every income bracket are listed, so this was a refreshing change.
Dog owners will get a lot out of this magazine - health information, adoption stories, training tips, travel tips, nutrition, caring for senior dogs, products, shopping resources - it's all there. A subscription would made a wonderful gift for any dog lover.
This magazine is the perfect blend of information and fun. Even the ads are enjoyable to read. From the recipes for cooking for your dog to the featured rescue dogs, who are groomed and pampered before their photo shoot, the whole magazine is a good read for dog lovers. - Magazine - Grooming - Accessories - Informative'

Propane Grill - roadtrip, propane grill
My wife and I wanted a new grill for tailgating at Miami Dolphins games this year. I am somewhat of a home gourmet and I am extremely particular of my cooking accouterments. After reading countless reviews on many different sites we narrowed it down to the Weber Q and the Coleman Roadtrip LXE. We went to Outdoor World here in Fort Lauderdale and actually looked at both as they had floor models available. We chose the Roadtrip based on it's modular ease of set-up and take down (I've never seen anything easier), the high 20,000 BTU output and the dual burner set-up, none of which the Weber Q had unless you purchased the top of the line Weber which was more than double the price in order to get dual burners and the higher BTU's. The Weber Q stand seemed much flimsier also.
After deciding on this grill we ordered it from Amazon for $159.00 and we chose the free shipping as we were not in any hurry since football season pre-games don' start until August. Amazon had the lowest price we could find. We were surprised to see this grill show up on our door step just 4 days later when the free shipping option told us it would take almost 2 weeks.
I opened the box and set it up immediately and I was pleasantly surprised that it came out of the box nearly complete. Just put the wheels on, attach the handle and the regulator and you're good to go. About 15 minutes in all as compared to hours I have spent assemblying other new grills.
Next came the cook test and the clean up test. After reading other reviewers saying that they lined the inside with foil for easier cleanup, I thought this was a good idea and did the same. I laid foil across the entire insides and with a steak knife cut around the 2 burners and a hole so any drippings could fall into the drip pan. I have read that the instructions for some of these roadtrip grills say to place water in the bottom for easier clean-up. NOT this model. The instructions say nothing of the sort. From reading many reviews, I summize that is on the standard Roadtrip model Model No. 9941-768 not this LXE model so the foil is a good idea.
I chose a beautiful 28 day aged NY Stip steak and my wife a 2 1/2" barrel cut filet. I preheated the grill for 5 minutes with the lid open on medium, wiped one side of the grill with vegetable oil and the other side with Pam for grilling(handles higher heats). I wanted to see right from the beginning which worked better on these porcelain coated cast iron grills. I can tell you I saw absoultely no difference between the two and will continue to use the Pam.
This grill gets HOT! I have to say that I was concerned about the fact that these grill surfaces do have the center area as solid cast iron(no open grill) so no flame gets through over the top of the burners. My concern was no flame hitting the meat = less flavor. The purpose for this is so that grease does not fall directly onto the 2 burners themselves. Let me clarify, there is open grill area...just not directly over the burners. I can report that this concern turned out to be competely unfounded. I rubbed the steaks with olive oil and salt & peppered them and placed each one directly over each burner on the unopened flame area. From the very first second I knew that the searing was going to be awesome and it was. It sizzled like nothing I have ever heard before except on commercial kitchen grills. The grill marks were perfect, the taste and flavor was perfect. I can't say enough about this grill. So far I love it but what about clean up.
The grills cooled down very quickly. I soaked the two porcelain coated cast iron grills in soapy hot water in my kitchen sink over night, as they fit no problem. I honestly don't think I needed to because I ran my finger accoss to see how "baked" on the residue was. It semed to come off pretty easily but I was full on a 16 oz NY strip and several glasses of Cabernet so they could wait until morning. The next morning the grills cleaned up so easily with a soapy wet sponge and I removed the foil lining and wiped the whole inside down with a soapy wet sponge and wiped it out with a dry towel. There was no difference in ease of clean up between the vegetable oil side or the Pam side. Both were easy. The porcelain coated cast iron grills do not need "seasoning" as un-coated cast iron grills do and if something does get baked on you can use a brass grill brush to clean them. Just make sure the brush is brass. It's softer and won't damage the procelain coating.
Folks, forget about any of the horror stories you hear about this grill...it's awesome. It gets so hot you don't need to close the lid so don't let that be a deterrent unlesss you smoke your food. The only reason I give this grill a 4 and not a 5 is because of the fact you can't cook with the lid closed. Although I said don't let it be a deterrent, it would be nice to smoke food. Also worth noting is that this new version comes with two grill surfaces. The older version came with one grill and one griddle and you were forced to buy an additional grill surface. Also with this new version the grill does NOT come off of the stand to be placed on a table top and the lid does not come off. I have read the opposite from other reviewers. Perhaps those things were true with older models. I know this was a long review, but these were all things I was concerned about and that I read conflicting stories on. I hope my review is helpful to you! Coleman 9949-750 Road Trip Grill LXE
I am a died in the wool griller and Weber guy. We currently have three grills around the house; a horizontal smoker/charcoal grill, a Weber gas Silver C gas grill (10 years old, the best!!) and the Coleman Roadtrip. I bought this grill because I get stuck doing the cooking at other friends and relatives and always had to load up the Weber. This Roadtrip is the cat's meow for this type of grilling road show.
I was going to get a Weber Q but it doesn't have the cart, at least not at a sub $200 pricepoint. This grill does the job and then some. I used the grill five times in the last two weeks, trying different approaches and methods, and have come up with a few tips and tricks to make the grill work it's best. Please note that this grill is one of the best I have ever used and certainly better than the majority of gas grills I have used. It's no Weber, but then, it ain't 500 bucks either. So, on with the tips.
1. The burner has a "low" to "high" settings. The high settings are ONLY and I mean ONLY for using the burner attachment or griddle attachment. There is no need to use 20,000BTU's of heat on a grill this small. These guys that are melting handles and such are also ruining food with entirely too much heat. They ought to put this in the book, but they don't. So you read it hear first, been grilling for over 25 years, do NOT use the high setting for grilling...PERIOD! Think about it...my Weber, which is almost twice as big and has enough clearance built into the cover for a turkey or upright chicken, only has 40,000BTU. So 20,000 for a grill with a three inch clearance cover and burners less than an inch away from the food is way too much. NO HIGH!!! PERIOD...there, now I feel better.
2. Properly preheat the grill. Fire up the grill, set it to "MED", no higher (READ # 1!!!), close the cover, and let it run for 10 minutes. This will get the grates properly heated as well as everything else. This will allow for even heat for cooking.
NOTE: The cover for this grill (I am referring to the lid that covers the grill during cooking) is durable as long as you (say it with me, folks!) DON'T USE THE HIGH SETTING FOR GRILLING!! Now given that, even on the lowest of heat setting the lid will "warp" when heated. I would bet that even a good dose of sunlight would do this. It's no worries, but it does cause a potential issue. This happens to most grills but it's so little you never notice it. But on this grill, the lid lock pin slides down into a slot that only has about a 1/16" clearance. The cover then heats up, moving the lock very VERY slightly but just enough, causing the grill not to open easily because of the pin catching on the slot. TO avoid this, after unlocking and opening the grill cover, just turn the lever to the "lock" position prior to preheating. ADVANCED FIX: I think utilizing a bit of backyard engineering IE tinsnips to open up the slot for more clearance while still being able to lock the lid may do the trick. IN the interim, just flipping to lock will still allow the lid to close, but the lock pin won't slide into the slot. As far as the highly reported melting lid handle, I have made attempts to get the handle hot enough to melt with the grill on medium and have determined that it simply won't happen. No concern, as long as you FOLLOW RULE#1!!
3. Once preheated, do what you would do with a normal gas grill heat control utilizing the "Coleman Roadtrip Medium" setting as "HIGH." Most folks go to Medium on a gas grill, so that would be half way between MED and LOW on this grill. Make sense? Good. I usually cook a tick above halfway.
4. Now just use like a normal gas grill, keeping the cover closed at all times. I will state that even at these supposedly low heat settings, this grill does cook faster than my big Weber, so keep an eye out the first few times you use it.
5. Foil for cleanup of the drip pan? I don't like that idea. The shiny drip pan cleans up so easily it's not required. Also, there is a problem if the foil is wrinkled at all you won't have proper draining of the grease, resulting in flair up and fire. I use hot, soapy water and let the excess water go to the drip pan. It cleanse up very easily.
That's all I got. If you follow my rules, you will love this grill. - Roadtrip - Coleman - Propane Grill - Barbecue'

Weight Training
These gloves are of a good quality, though have a strong smell (leather dye, I assume). I am using them almost daily, and they cusion palms and fingers nicely. The velcro on the back is slightly uncomfortable, probably due to the size being too small. I ordered gloves in medium size, but they are too small for my relatively small hands. If you think you need medium, you, probably, should order large. I am giving 4 stars for the size issue, but the quality and price combination is very good. Harbinger Power StretchBack Glove (Black, Large)
I prefer a weightlifting glove that protects the hands from the normal abrasions of handling the bars and barbells, but doesn't have excessive padding that interferes with getting a good grip, or a wrist strap to interfere with the wrist's range of motion. I like to lift with a basic glove. I normally prefer a 100% leather glove, but decided to give these a try.
The only significant difference between these and a 100% leather is the back of the glove; it is made of a stretchable fabric. This fabric is not the mesh often found on inexpensive gloves, but a quality material that provides a good form-fit. If the glove is the proper size, the fit is snug, but not too tight. The fit is superior to the 100% leather gloves I have used.
The palm has extra leather padding, but not too much. My fingers can grip olympic bars, curl bars, and contour dumbells with the gloves on.
The overall construction of the gloves is pretty good. There is very little unevenness in construction, which is fairly common in most weightlifting gloves.
Despite the reasonable price, these gloves are of good quality. I could afford more, but these gloves fit my needs perfectly.
I have been using this product for a while now and am generally happy with is performance. My only comment is the same as others on this thread, in that even though I ordered a Large size, these gloves are still a bit tight. So I would recommend that if anyone is considering purchasing these gloves, order a size larger than you normally would.
These are BASIC work out gloves. Not the best design or feel but they do their job and are priced appropriately. (You get what you pay for.) If you're looking for something flashy and comfy; look else where. If you're serious about your workout and your money and want to protect your hands as well as your wallet; these are the ones.
Secondly, GO BIG OR GO HOME applies here. They're made in China so they may be XL over there; but in the U.S. these are a size large at best. XL Fits me tight and I'm 5'11" @ 195lbs with average hands.
Good gloves. Not the best I've seen. Harbinger 143 are far superior and cheaper. Regarding the gloves, I read a lot of complaints regarding the sizing before I purchased these and I believed them and bought one size larger (up'd from med to large). Big Mistake. The Gloves were loose and uncomfortable. I ended up giving them to my brother. They're decent gloves, but Harbinger has far better gloves for less.
This is my first pair of exercise gloves so I can't really provide a meaningful critique on their fabrication. They are comfortable and appear to be well made. However, from the comments of several people, I sized up one size and find that they are a tad too big for me. I feel therefore that the sizing is accurate on these gloves.
I work out pretty frequently, but this particular item has been by far the shortest lived pair of gloves I have ever owned. The lower palm of the hand is comprised of paper thin leather, and ripped after about 3 weeks use.'

Laptop Mouse - notebook mouse, microsoft
This things can track on anything. Using your mouse on the carpet, your thigh, a glass table? It's no problem for this thing. You can program the three buttons but I never use that feature so I'm not sure how robust that feature is. The mouse is compact. I haven't had the mouse for long so I can't comment on the comfort after extended use.
I don't like how short the cord is; it's about 3 ft. in length. I guess this mouse is marketed towards notebook users rather than desktop users. If you have a USB port on your monitor, the cord length may not be a problem. Microsoft Express Mouse (T2J-00007)
The tracking and quality of tracking had me a little concerned, but the more I use it the more I like it. A great small size, very responsive, lightweight, and simply a beautiful look. Small enough for mobile use (especially on a plane when I get in trouble by using a wireless mouse!). By the way, I used this on both a Mac and Windows 7 OS. This is a great mouse!
Really is accurate and reliable. I got one at home and one at work. I like the wire placement that's off to the side, it stays out of the way very well. I tried battery mice, even used lithium batteries, but I prefer the wired mouse. Less problems. No ongoing cost to operate, no batteries. - Microsoft - Notebook Mouse - Wireless Mouse - Optical Mouse'

Flag Holder
I was looking for a nice garden flag pole that was sturdy. After reading all the other reviews for this garden pole I decided that this was the one I wanted. It's just as good as they said it was! It's very sturdy and not all flimsy like some can be. It's going to be able to hold up to the high winds we sometimes get around here. It was very easy to put together with the enclosed instructions. It looks great and is easy to install! I positioned it were I wanted it and stepped down and it went into the ground well. I'm completely satisfied and very pleased with how great it looks! The price was right also! :) Garden Flag Pole
Wanted a garden flag for my new home. Found this on amazon.com and thought it would do the trick. Ordered it and within 4 days, it arrived. Good, solid, and sturdy material. Great price. What more could you ask for? A great buy!
I ordered this pole to display a university garden flag for my daughter's graduation party. The pole broke apart at the top section. Since it would have required soddering I decided to go out and purchase one at a local hardware store. I was very disappointed in this item--what an inconvenience at a busy time when I thought I was set for the party.'

Fashion Accessories - ipod dock, ipod accessories
I needed to wake up to music and had specific criteria:
1. Alarm clock must work with iPod so I could set what song I woke up to
2. Clock must have bearable alarm sound just in case iPod is not available.
3. Clock must increase sound from silence incrementally so I'm not jarred out of sleep.
4. Clock must be small and portable so I can pick it up and walk with it while I get ready in the AM w/o waking hubby
5. Clock must work on batteries and wall plug that detaches
6. Clock must be white or silver
And with that said, this clock was so perfect it's like I imagined it! Not only that it's an travel clock so it's portable enough for trips. It does not have all the wiz bang of some of the other clocks but I really didn't need all of that. The unit is much smaller than it looks on the site and the speakers pack a serious punch (they are on the sides). I would buy this again and I've been recommending it to all my friends. Perfect! iHome iH16 Portable Speaker System for iPod (Gray)
I bought this in an electronics store at the mall where they had one out on display and I could pop in my iPhone 3GS to test it. I've got a fairly simple set of criteria that I'm getting pretty good at testing for:
1) Does it charge the 3GS? Yes. (my older clock radio did not)
2) Is it easy to make the device play music? Yes. (you'd be amazed at how many iPod speakers require significant fussing to get them to play the iPod)
3) Can I listen to Internet radio? Yes. (Some devices will only play the iPod)
4) Will it wake to muisc? Yes. (Again, not all of them do)
5) Is the sound quality respectable? Yes. For a device the size of a Toblerone bar, this thing is amazing. Not much bass and it won't make your ears bleed, but it's clean and accurate and makes you feel you're listening to decent stereo rather than an alarm clock.
This is the first device I've owned that made me want to pop my iPhone in, fire up a Genius playlist and listen. The button selection is as simple as it could be, I can kill the clock light at night with the Snooze bar, and it wakes to iPod perfectly in the morning with zero setup. The only negatives I can come up with are that it's so light that you end up moving it around the night stand when you undock it, and it has no built-in radio, which might bother some people but not me. My bottom line, this is a device that lives up to the elegance of the iPhone. They should sell tons of these.
I got this to do two things only: tell me the time (without me needing to put my glasses on) and read me a bedtime story (audiobooks ripped from CD). It is almost perfect for those purposes, but I'm surprised at all these glowing reviews, because the unit is not without real flaws. The only two that concern me are that the display, while large and clear, cannot be seen if you're lying down and your bedside table is at the same level as your head. From all other angles the display is perfectly clear, but to see the time without sitting up, I need to lean the unit towards me at a sharp angle.
The other niggle that bothers me is that the [Sleep] button is on the back (Why?) and is the middle of three identical buttons, so care is needed. Did the designers think that people would confuse [Snooze] with [Sleep]? If so, they could have come up with more unambiguous labels, like [It's too f*?#!+@ early!] and [Drift Off...]
Two other flaws that don't concern me but would probably matter to most people: In terms of volume, it doesn't exactly "go to eleven"; all it can manage is about four. The other one is that, though the sound quality is as excellent as reported in the other reviews, there is a serious lack of bass, leaving it sounding only like a set of five dollar computer speakers.
It does everything else just fine, is truly portable and lightweight, takes up very little space, and is constructed really well.
(I can't comment on the alarm function because I would never rely on anything this complex to wake me up: if I absolutely, positively have to be awake at a certain time, my yard-sale Westclox gets wound up, armed, and placed on the other side of the room. I then go to sleep, serenaded by its hellacious loud tick, secure in the knowledge that - come Hell or high water (or power outages) - I will be awake and standing at the right time next morning.)
I have not had my iHome clock radio for more than 24 hours and am excited to review it. First feature I like is the light to the clock can be turned completely off. And it had multiple setting for brightness. For such a small system the sound is AMAZING!! It also has cool features like the daylight savings time button. It took me a minute or two to set the clock right so I can implement the DST option. A favorite feature of mine on any time device is the ability to do military (24hour) time. I am still trying to work out the logistics of my iPod Nano's (4th Generation) alarm and the iHome's alarm. In the instructions for the alarm clock it says you can not use a skin or case while docking. I have a skin from DecalGirl.com on my Nano and it docks and works fine with the skin on. ALSO...this system will travel! Got to love a charging (not when powered by batteries)/playing/clock dock that is small enough to pack (comes with AC adapter cord)!
Great product and I highly recommend it if you want a small multifunctional dock/clock.
I want to start off by saying that I've bought hundreds of things on Amazon.com and I ALWAYS read reviews before buying. I'm a smart buyer who always does his research and gets the best deal. I've never even written one bad review here and I've been very successful in making good purchases.
Unfortunately, I was misled a bit on this product. It saw all the stars, read the reviews, but when I got this thing, unboxed and turned it on, it immediately struck me as a device not worth $40, much less its list price of $50. The main reasons for my complaint are the position and size of the speakers as well as the dock design. This device is listed as "iHome iH16 Portable Speaker System for iPod" whereas my impression of it now is "iHome iH16 Simple Alarm Clock for iPod."
If you're looking for a simple, relatively inexpensive alarm clock that allows you to plug your iPod into it, this is a good buy. However, if you're looking for a quality portable audio system for your iPod, you will be disappointed. This is a simple 2 speakers facing out on the side of the device. This makes true sound quality hard to attain because no matter where you are in relation to this thing, you will not have direct stereo sound because it's impossible for both speakers to be facing you at the same time. This was a big disappointment for me.
The dock also has room for improvement. When I pulled the iH16 out of it's package, I read the instructions and tried to put the dock together for an iPod Nano. You have to hook 2 pieces of plastic into the back of the dock to support the Nano, the second being a bit small and flimsy. Although I got the Nano docked, the support was lousy and left me wondering if I even did it right. When I had my Nano 3G plugged in, it was extremely uncomfortable to use the click wheel as the bottom of the wheel was almost flush against the surface of the dock. I overcame this by simply using a 3.5mm AUX cable, but then I lost the charging function.
However, on the plus side of things, it's a nice looking device that does what it says and does it good and with simplicity. The clock and alarm are extremely easy to set, it does have an AUX cable input, it does charge the iPod, and it does play music. The sound quality for the size and position of the speakers IS actually good. I won't be returning this, but I've definitely learned a valuable lesson from it.
I want to finish by saying that I am a guy who usually gets the best or close to it in audio. I don't ALWAYS get the most expensive stuff, but when it comes to my music, I usually go all-out. Music is very important to me and I have the ears of an audiophile. If you're simply looking for a little portable device to play your tunes or, as aforementioned, an alarm clock that supports the iPod, this product is fine for you. But if you're looking for a little more on the audio side of things, seek elsewhere. And even then, $40 still seems a bit steep for this. - Ipod Dock - Ihome Clock Radio - Ipod Alarm Clock - Ipod Accessories'

Shower Hooks - umbra, shower caddy
I like this shower caddy because it holds a lot of stuff. However I could not get it to stay on my shower head, it kept slipping off. I had to hang it on the towel rod in my shower. Also, it would not fit over my shower door since the hooks are on the small side Umbra Bask 3-Basket Shower Caddy
This is much more attractive looking than the cheap ones you'd get at Fred Meyer or wherever. I like the choice in color, I got white but a color would have been pretty. It's made in China but so are all the rest of them. The top doesn't stay right at the back by the wall, instead slips down to shower head, but it doesn't fall off so that's all I care about. There are 3 suction things that keep the baskets affixed to the wall, that's nice also.
We have a handheld shower and a "regular" shower caddy got in the way of the hose. The shower is small-ish, so I couldn't hang a caddy on the door -- it would get in the way of someone taking a shower. That left hanging something from the faucet handles. This was the only caddy that I could find that would do this. I uploaded a couple of photos of the caddy used in this way -- see the "customer images" at the top of the page.
The hooks are too fat to hang directly on the faucets, but that's easy to solve by hooking them together around the faucets (see photo).
The baskets are large enough for over-sized (i.e., the "super value size") bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of drain holes in the bottom of each basket mean that stuff doesn't get waterlogged.
The baskets don't have a good place for a bar of soap, but you can just use a separate suction cup soap dish, like I did.
One of the early reviewers commented about the caddy not being assembled. The only thing I had to do was put two suction cups on two of the baskets. This took about 30 seconds (and I'm a 50-year-old woman) -- push and twist at the same time and they'll pop right in.
Overall, I'm happy with this caddy. I'd give it 5 stars if the hooks were a little narrower and larger diameter. I haven't had it long enough to see if the chain rusts, but if it does, I'll replace it with cord.
We first saw what we wanted when we googled amazon.com and being a first timer we were surprised with the price compared to other suppliers of the same product, so we ordered. Delivery was ahead of estimated time to Australia. The carton and contents arrived undamaged, packaging was excellent, the products were exactly what we wanted and we couldn't wait to install them in our 2 Bathroom Showers. Very happy with the service in every respect
This little carrier holds lots of stuff and can be hung on the shower curtain, which I love. It doesn't take up any extra space and has so far worked great. Just make sure you clean it out every few months or a funk will start to grow on the bottom of the baskets.
I don't have a curtain rod, and I don't like hanging toiletries from the shower head. I picked this caddy because it allowed me to hang the toiletries from the glass wall of the shower. It holds a *lot* of stuff, and I haven't had any problems with items falling out, even with the larger shampoo bottles. Very useful, and makes for a much more organized shower!
We have one of those difficult bear-claw tubs that requires shower curtains all the way around it (3, to be exact). This hangs perfectly off the shower curtain rod (or the shower head) and holds so much! It also (amazingly) does not take up a huge amount of space.
Way to go, Umbra!
I got this as a gift off my wish list. It fits perfectly in a glass shower and from afar it looks built in because the chain is barely visible. The best thing is that you can hang it wherever - it does not limit you like most shower caddies. - Shower Caddy - Umbra - Shower Organization - Shower Hooks'

Science Fiction - universe, space
I wanted to like this, I really did. I like science. I especially like physics and astronomy. And, as a relatively new 3D owner, I'm still pretty tolerant.
Here's what the product info doesn't tell you. This is not an IMAX movie, or any other feature. It's one of those History Channel science shows. There are short segments on each of the "7 Wonders of the Solar System". The science is pretty simplistic. (The Sun is Hot, the Earth is Pretty, Saturn has Rings). The places where we come back from commercial and they recap what has been in the previous part of the show and what's coming up after the next commercial break comprise more than 10% of the content. They might have improved it by at least editing this as if we were going watch it commercial free.
The 3D quality? Very poor. The primary 3D is an animated frame that shadowboxes the edges of the 2D content. By animated I mean drawn, not moving - it's pretty stationary. The poor little animated spaceship is what your kids make when they get their first animation software. Only a couple of times when it goes to hyper drive is there actually a 3D effect of the stars.
There are maybe 10 minutes of okay 3D in this - a couple of minutes of NASA spacecraft animation, a couple of minutes of nature footage in the Earth segment, and (the only really nice thing) a recreation of the data from the 3D solar observatory. The sun looks rather conical, but at least it's high def and interesting.
If you must buy this, try to get in touch with those who wrote the 5 star reviews- they must have way better vision than I do, or possibly mood altering potions to share. The Universe: 7 Wonders of the Solar System [Blu-ray 3D]
This 3D Blu-Ray exceeded my expectations. I was expecting the same episode that originally aired on The History Channel, probably with some gimmicky 3D effects added in (yes, I bought it anyway, hoping that I was wrong). However, I was surprised to see (what I believe to be) some new, 3D interview footage and some new narration recorded specifically for this release. The 3D effects are very good. Seeing tiny Mercury eclipse the giant Sun in 3D is breathtaking as are some of the beautiful images of the rings of Saturn. Sure, most of it is CG, but that's fine because it looks really great. The only poor CG has to do with the spacecraft in which you are supposedly touring the solar system. Really, my only complaint is that there is some substantial crosstalk in many scenes, mostly when you see an object against the blackness of space. If that weren't true, I would have given this release 5 stars instead of 4.
My 2-year-old son is showing a lot of interest in space/planets/astronomy, so I thought he might enjoy this. Indeed, he did. He sat riveted through the whole thing (which, if you knew my hyper son, is pretty amazing). "Is that Saturn?", "Look, the Sun! It's coming out of the TV!", "Wow, the Sun is very hot!", etc. One thing this video accomplished for my son is something I had been unable to articulate to a 2-year-old; that is the sheer size of the planets. The 3D really helps to illustrate this in a way that nothing else can. I think he now has a good sense of how enormous the sun is when compared to other planets.
This video satisfied an itch that I hoped would have been scratched by many of the 3D Imax documentaries out there that disappointed me. It's a good, 3D documentary that can serve as a good demo of your new 3D TV, yet also be interesting and watchable in its own right. "7 Wonders of the Solar System" accomplishes this nicely. Sure, it has a few problems (crosstalk, poor CG graphics for the spacecraft, etc.), but overall I'm really happy with it. Videos are subjective though, so your mileage may vary.
My ratings are based mainly on the QUALITY OF THE 3D, not the video content.
Not counting the repeating graphics, There are about 14 out of screen effects that extend about 10% of the way, from the screen to the viewer. Another 3 around 25%. For 10 seconds stars fly OOS around 50% and one makes it to 70%. Rocks OOS around 25% for 10 seconds, leafs blow by up to 25% for 15 seconds, a satellite graphic, swings out to 40% and a dolphin's nose extends to over 35%. 18 times the same simplistic space ship council extends 10% and at least 8 times a graphic overlay floats at 20%.
Some short segments were so flat they didn't appear to be in 3D at all.
Excess parallax easily visible in a few scenes.
And yes, as other reviews have said, the graphics add a cheese factor.
Repeating graphics and some repeating scenes.
*** If your not interested in the subject matter, don't buy it just for the 3D ***
MY 3D RATING = POOR to FAIR
(poor, fair, good, very good, excellent)
Note: As far as the percentages go, everyone's eyes are different. What I see at 25% you may see at 15% or 35%. To fully realize how far something is out of the screen for you, pause on an effect and direct a partner with an extended finger to the tip of what you are seeing. You may be surprised.
Click on `See all my reviews' for the lowdown on other 3Ds
Looked like old animation converted to 3D mixed with new interviews shot in 3D. Very poor quality space animation with an added cartoon like hud display (would have been better without it)overlayed on the screen. Very disappointed!
I was expecting spectacular imagery from telescopes like hubble and a journey to see new things about the universe. It is a top ten countdown of computer generated images of things that we all know about: Saturn, Jupiter, the sun, earth etc. Way too much commentary and not nearly enough imagery. A waste for 3-D. And not intersting enough to show a guest the capabilities of my 3D TV. It was a bore to watch and a true disappointment. Don't waste your money. - Universe - Space - 3d - Nasa'

Vinyasa Yoga - beginners yoga dvd, vinyasa yoga
I was so glad to get another new Shiva DVD less than 5 months since her last one. This DVD was filmed in Kauai , Hawaii as well as her next DVD's to be released this year and next year. This practice is aimed for beginners but everyone can enjoy it , the whole DVD is 70 minutes and has 4 segments (and savasana) that can be done seperately:
1. Foundation Flow - approx 14 min, Shiva starts with some breathing exercises on a rock near a beautiful waterfall and continues with simple poses like cat , cobra and some variations.
2. Beginner's Backbend Flow -approx. 20 min, there is a change of scenery and Shiva is in a beautiful garden with a lot of trees near a lake.
It is actually mainly standing poses - she prepares you for backbends in this practice with some lunge variations , chair with twists ,side bends, half splits and cobra variations and finally bow and camel. This segment might be quite challenging for true beginners but she shows easier modifications for most of the poses so it's definitely doable.
3.Relaxing Flexibility Flow - approx. 10 min , Shiva does simple stretches on the back , very similar to "supine poses" segment in Yoga Shakti it ends with a forward bend (badhakonasana) , it was very relaxing.
4. Beginner's Standing Pose Flow - approx 23 min . now she's at the beach , the clip from Amazon is taken from this segment and it is dark here too not just in the clip , it was probably shot at dusk. This is really a seperate practice cuz there is no sense of getting up for another energizing practice after the relaxing segment. It is a more challenging vinyasa that includes warrior 2 variations and some more backbends.
Too bad there is no matrix , because this segment is just stuck between the previous segments and the savasana ,it would be nice to do it before or after the second segment but since there are only a few chapters I guess it's not such a big deal to skip between them with the remote.
This segment also ends with a very short savasana , barely 2 minutes, which is another minor complaint but all in all I really enjoyed this practice and felt really stretched out , I can't wait for her next DVD's to come out. Shiva Rea: Flow Yoga for Beginners
'No yoga experience necessary' proclaims the box. 'Score!' I think. 'I know squat about yoga, so this should be perfect!'
What they don't mention is that this isn't necessarily for people not already rather fit. Each segment requires a certain level of endurance and strength that many rank beginners just don't have. She does make some modifications, but the moves remain difficult, sometimes prohibitively so. Also, despite the proclamation on the box, it seems as though some foreknowledge of yoga is in fact necessary. Some moves are cued by name rather than by description, which makes the first few viewings difficult to follow.
Overall, I can't really say that I recommend this to beginners in general. Fit beginners, maybe. Advanced beginners in yoga, sure. Not so much everyone else. I wish I could like this DVD, as the scenery is lovely and Ms. Rea obviously knows her stuff, but I just can't get far enough into it to make it worth my while.
I was overwhelmed as a beginner so I can understand the complaints some other reviewers have with this DVD. However I would like to add that vinyasa, or flow yoga, is a quite challenging form of yoga, not usually recommended for beginners. I think that Shiva Rea does very well in introducing this form of yoga to those unfamiliar with it. I really love the DVD, music and presentation, so I went back to it after using the Giam beginner yoga DVDs for a few weeks. At that point it was not completely unreasonable to attempt the flows in this program- especially with all the variations she introduces to make it less physically challenging. I have favorite moments in the program and find it very easy to navigate to them because the DVD is broken down into 5 sections. I have Rhumatoid Arthritis and yoga practice has helped me with my pain, but some days are better than others, on bad days I just do one flow. I like that this DVD gives you the option to do that. I would recommend this to a beginner as long as you try this as maybe your second DVD, and the real "beginner" ones get old fast.
I think it is important to note that this is a beginners guide to Vinyasa Flow Yoga, not your average beginners guide to yoga. I think that is the misconception here when reviewers note that this is not for beginners, it actually is. Shiva Rea is a world famous Vinyasa Flow or Flow Yoga instructor, she is one if not the best. Vinyasa Flow basically means "one breath, one movement." It is one of the many different types of yoga. I receommend before purchasing any yoga DVD, know what type of yoga you are interested in, educate yourself so you won't be disappointed or overwhelmed. Vinyasa Flow is not your basic yoga stretching. It is creative movement and yes, you are constantly moving it seems, it is considered part of the Astanga family. If that is what you are interested in, then this is the DVD for you, look no more. As stated above Shiva is one of the best, she is very precise in her teaching, after you finish this DVD, you will feel relaxed and renewed and your prana will be flowing.
I love my other dvd by Shiva Rea (Yoga Shakti) so I ordered this one for my beginner friend. I did it once through before I gave it to her and can't say I like it as much. It almost feels like it goes out of order? It is set in a beautiful location, which always helps! - Yoga - Flow Yoga - Vinyasa Yoga - Beginners Yoga Dvd'
