Gps Carrying Case
Nice little case for the price. It holds my Garmin 265WT very nicely with its snap-on swivel adapter still attached. The exterior vinyl case is very stiff to mitigate the potential of crushing damage to the GPS. The interior of the case is lined with fabric to minimize scratching damage. The case zipper works fine. And it comes with a little carry strap too. Again, very nice for the price. 4.3" EVA Case for Garmin Nuvi 265wt 1300 1350 1370t GPS
The EVA case is a perfect fit for my nüvi 765T even though the product title says it's for the nüvi 265WT, 1300, 1350, and 1370T. The hard exterior provides very good protection for my nüvi. Its interior is lined with a velvety fabric that won't scratch the nüvi.
I love that it's so compact -- it's not very much bigger than my nüvi (which measures 4.8 x 0.8 x 3 inches). It is a sturdy, well-made, and high quality case. I couldn't be more happy with it. Recommended.
This a perfect, rugged case to stow my GPS in purse, backpack, or luggage. It also has extra pockets for memory cards & charging cords that makes this case a perfect fit. It reminds me of my metallic-looking hard side suitcases.
I am so glad I went ahead and purchased this case for my new Garmin GPS. I have been able to keep my GPS stored safely when not in use and protected from the elements. I do not ever leave my GPS in the car when not driving due to the fact that I have heard they are a hot item for thieves. Therefore having the protective case, which is extremely durable, has been a wise investment.
The case is sturdy, but a bit big for the Garmen Nuvi 1390T, which is same size as 1370T. I bought the case so I could carry the GPS with me, and space is at a premium, so I have ended up putting this case in the drawer and buying a different one.'

Canon Waterproof Digital - canon, waterproof camera
So many of our family's vacations are at beaches, lakes, water-parks, or hikes and bringing along the sensitive digital camera has always been a problem. If I carried it then I could not get in water and I spent more time worrying whether the sand would damage it than taking pics of my family. I lost a camera on a Disney Park fun ride when water suddenly splashed into the ride and we were miserable for losing all our pics. With this camera you can drop it in water and not worry about your pics unless you lose the camera (happened to me another time when I fell overboard and dropped a camera in the open sea). I have other cameras that I have been too lazy to review but I am excited about this one so I sat down to write this review.
This is like a regular Canon Camera with all the features and the added waterproof feature. It can be compared to the new SD780 IS which sells for fifty bucks less. The features are similar, except that this one is waterproof and bulkier and does not have a viewfinder (not that you can see much through a fogged up viewfinder in humid conditions).
Some great features:
- Good looking waterproof camera, "cuteness" is very important, I disliked those clear cases that you have to screw on your camera and as one reviewer reported they can still get fogged up
- Rainproof/Waterproof up to 33 ft, good for most pools or waterparks
- Freeze proof lens up to 14 deg F
- SMART Auto mode that detects the right scene mode for each shot (works great)
- Digic 4 processor, auto shots are nicer than some older Canon cameras, optical image stabilization and motion detection to prevent blurring of images
- 2.5 inch extra bright LCD that's covered by a protective surface to prevent scratches and looks good in bright sun
- 3X optical and 12X digital zoom
- Face detection
- "Blink" detection - the camera gives a blink warning if someone's eyes are closed in the picture
- Contrast correction - Can be set while taking picture or even afterward to correct darker areas
- Continuous shooting lets you capture the perfect water shot
- Scene modes - The auto mode does a good job of sensing the conditions but if you want to set a mode you get the choice of - Night exposure, Panorama (stitch together shots in one), programmable mode, portrait, sunset, beach, fireworks, aquarium, underwater, snow, indoor, kids and pets, foliage, long shutter, color accent (keep only one color in a pic, so the water and jeans will be blue while the people black and white) and color swap (change one color to another, swap the color of your boat from beige to red).
Negatives:
- Slightly bulkier than your typical Canon SD, it's built for water, beach and rugged use, and it's rounder shape with no hard edges can take a fall or two
- No threads for filters
- No RAW mode
- No lens cap but the glass shield is scratchproof
The back panel is pretty intuitive and you probably won't need the manual to figure it out. The buttons have been designed for waterproof operations and the zoom in and out is done through buttons on the back of the camera rather than with the shutter button lever like with other Canon cameras. The photo and video mode is toggled through a round button next to the shutter button.
The best thing about this camera? You can give it to your 6 year old to take underwater pics and not worry about it, how many other "real" cameras can you do that with?! Now I can float down that lazy river at the water park with my family and take some nice shots rather than running along the edge trying to capture the perfect moment. And the best thing is that this camera works just as well on land. It's the perfect no-nonsense take along everywhere (really every where!) vacation camera. Canon PowerShot D10 12.1 MP Waterproof Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD
I've been playing with my new Powershot D10 for about a week and really like it. I have been using Canon SLRs for 25+ years, AE1 Program, A1, Elan 7e, and Digital Rebel. When I started looking for a waterproof camera to take snorkeling, my first choice was Canon, based on my many years of satisfaction with their products, and I was very lucky that this camera was released two weeks before leaving for vacation. (Amazon had been showing the camera as available for pre-order until earlier today. I purchased mine from a local camera store.)
I'm very impressed with the picture quality on this camera. The 12 megapixel sensor, coupled with a dozen shooting modes, produce an excellent image. I'm used to controlling aperture and shutter speed on the SLR, so simply selecting "portrait" or "night exposure" mode and letting the camera do all the work just seems too easy. Or, if selecting "portrait" is too difficult, you can select "auto" and just let the camera do it all. Movie quality is also quite good. The LCD screen on the back of the camera seems huge compared to the 1" screen on my old Digital Rebel. It's a great display.
The controls are conveniently arranged, and easy to use, and the associated icons displayed are both informative and intuitive. You can choose to display all the settings or turn them off and just see the image. One of the useful display options is a grid overlay on the screen to assist with shot composition and the "Rule of Thirds." The optical zoom works great. By the time you get to 12x with the digital zoom, the image is kind of grainy, but that's to be expected.
You can take macro photographs an inch or two from your subject. I've had trouble focusing my Digital Rebel in the dark, but Canon seems to have improved low-light focusing quite a bit. It has a manual focus feature that indicates the distance to the subject as you adjust the focus, just in case it can't get the focus right.
I like the Panorama feature, which displays the previous shot on the viewfinder while you're composing the next shot, allowing the photographer to closely match subsequent shots, resulting in panoramic photos with less distortion when they're stitched together. Panorama mode also locks in the exposure value of the first shot so that the exposure in subsequent shots all match the first shot.
The face recognition and blink detection both seem to work well. As the camera focuses, it will zoom in on one of the faces so the photographer can verify correct focus. After the shot is taken, if someone blinked it will identify the face of the person blinking so you can take another shot. These can be turned on or off according to user preference. Images seem very crisp, which I attribute to the image stabilization features, which can also be turned on or off.
I've had the camera in the sink, and it handles six inches of water with no problems. I'll see how it does with thirty two and a half more feet of water when it meets the Atlantic Ocean in a few weeks! The wrist strap attaches to any one of the four corners of the camera (convenient for carrying in either left or right hand) and seems to be pretty secure, so no worries about losing it if you get knocked over by a wave.
I use Photoshop Elements, so I haven't loaded the Canon software and can't comment on that. And since I edit photos on the computer, I doubt that I'll use some of the in-camera editing features, such as black and white, sepia, color swap, and the various color enhancements. I could see that would be useful to those who print directly from the camera, without editing on a computer.
The camera doesn't allow you to shoot in RAW. I generally don't shoot in RAW with my SLR, so that doesn't worry me. It has a number of white balance modes, custom white balance, and auto white balance. It seems to do a good job selecting the correct shooting conditions in auto mode. Colors appear correct.
A couple of drawbacks: The camera isn't threaded so you're not able to attach filters. There's also no lens cap, and I worry about the lens surface getting damaged. For a rugged "adventure" camera, I'm also surprised that there's no GPS chip so that photos can be tagged with the exact location. I look at old slides taken while I was hiking and think "that's neat, why can't I remember where I took that." It would be nice if the EXIF data included lattitude and longitude. (Watch Canon come out with the Powershot D10 "Gold" six months from now that incorporates these features. The curse of being an early adopter.)
The microphone picks up every movement your fingers make as you hold the camera, so it's difficult to capture movies without some camera noise. The speaker on the bottom of the camera is also difficult to hear when playing movies back on the camera, but movies sounds fine when I pop the memory chip into the computer and watch in Quicktime. Movies are produced in the .mov format, so you'll have to do some conversion if you want to do anything with it in Windows Movie Maker. You can also choose between higher quality 640 x 480, or lower quality 320 x 240. (I should post a video review, but look like a dork in movies, so I'll spare everybody that.)
Tried to take a few infrared photos, but the image has the Hot Spot typical of many Canon cameras and lenses. I held a Hoya R72 filter over the lens and took several shots. Bright sunlight is about a 4" exposure, and all shots have a bluish circle in the center.
The drawbacks are very minor compared to the great images this camera produces.
I'm very impressed with this camera. It feels very sturdy, takes great photos, and seems very easy to use. Although I'll probably continue to use my Digital Rebel as my primary camera, I certainly look forward to many years of fun with this camera. - Waterproof Digital Camera - Underwater Digital Camera - Canon - Waterproof Camera'

Powerful - core, intel
I built a SandyBridge gaming rig last month. I chose the Core i3-2100 as a cheap option to see if it would be great for games such as (StarCraft 2, Crysis, Crysis 2, Burnout Paradise, Left 4 Dead 2.) I am very impressed at the performance level this processor offers. First the Benchmark. I used Passmark Performance Test 7. The score was 4,472. Compare that to my Core i5 based MacBook Pro which was 2,367. So far I have yet to push the limits of this processor. I would Highly Recommend this processor over any AMD for low budget gaming.
The Specs of my gaming rig
Intel Core i3-2100
8GB of DDR3-1600Mhz RAM
Asus P8P67 Deluxe
Geforce GTX 460 SE (which is an underrated card)
2TB WD HDD
Samsung Blu-Ray Drive (Reads BD, Burns DVD/CD's)
jakthebomb Intel Core i3 Processor i3-2100 3.1GHz 3MB LGA1155 CPU BX80623I32100
This is a dual core processor clocked at 3.1GHz, Bought this for a HTPC build, was combined with 4GB of DDR3, a Biostar H61MH motherboard, 1TB HDD and an IOGear wireless keyboard. The computer is really fast and works great as a HTPC, its plugged into our 42" LCD using the HDMI port at 1080p. The video looks great even though the motherboard doesn't have a dedicated video card/chip. I've even played movies on XBMC while ripping a video at the same time, without any problems. All our videos (mkv and avi) look great, so does Hulu desktop. I haven't run any benchmarks but I do know that it rips videos about 50% faster than my Core2Duo Macbook pro.
The processor was well packaged and easy to install. With only a 65W power consumption, it seems to run cool all of the time, only heard the fan speed up while installing the OS. The fan that came with the processor seems more than enough and quiet, though I did use Artic Silver 5 thermal compound with my build. The other thing I really like is how you don't need an additional graphics card, keeps the cost lower and also reduces power consumption indirectly. Note: this can't be over-clocked.
All in all, a great CPU, highly recommended. Will probably install Ubuntu 11.04 soon, will update the review then, especially if there are any problems.
I'm very pleased with this CPU. Application for the PC is HTPC. The CPU has far more processing power than needed but what I really like is the low (electrical) power consumption and low heat. Only 65W Max TDP.
I've put the CPU in an ASUS P8H67-M PRO/CSM MB and it's working great.
My setup uses built-in graphics with no issues. I'm using VGA output rather than HDMI so far. GPU HW graphics acceleration from directx and Adobe Flash Driver seem fine.
Had no troubles finding appropriate Intel drivers from their website. Note that I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. I haven't tried to run in a Linux system.
Main reason for purchase of this CPU was its energy efficiency. I wanted something fast and still have a low power consumption and so the Atom processors did not fit my needs.
When the computer is sitting at desktop it currently pulls 28W and Under full load it never goes past 37W. The whole computer consist of a 400W 80 PLUS Bronze PSU, an F3 Samsung hard drive, using its built in graphics chipset for video, single module 1333mhz 4gb DDR3 ram, a single 80mm fan, an asrock h67 motherboard, and DVD burner.
Fits all my needs
-Transcoding speeds are reasonable (although I did not buy this CPU for that) trough quicksync feature
-Windows 7 runs quick and snappy
-HD 1080p YouTube and Netflix play fine without any struggling. Played both at the same time without cpu utilization going beyond 55%
Nice CPU for "general" computing. Would recommend if your needs are similar. - Core - Intel - Powerful - Value'

Ipod Touch Accessories - ipod touch 4th generation, itouch
I was worried when I placed this order. When I bought the package the price was really low, so low I was worried it might be a scam. Amazon has never lead me astray and the vendor had a high rating so I went ahead and ordered the package. There is enough for two iPod Touch 4th generation owners. The only possible complaint I could see someone having is that the arm band might not be big enough for large arms, especially for men. All in all I would recommend this package. CrazyOnDigital 18-in-One Accessory Bundle for iPod touch 4G
Everything you see in the photo is included. This is a great deal. The Cases are soft silicone but will do good enough protection for your iPod. However, they sent me a "back-ordered" version of the red case. That one is made of clear plastic and fits better on the iPod. The only problem with that case is that it looks rather pink than "red". Also, the headphones have better quality sound than the apple-supplied ear buds. (Plus there's two of them). Both of the screen protectors had the hole for face time in the wrong place; causing a large air bubble. Other than those minors complaints, everything else in this package came and works as advertised. This is a great buy, so buy this before the prices go up.
I bought this entire package for the same cost as just one charger at other stores.
The charger works well with my itouch4 (new one with hd video and 2 way conference call).
It came with a bunch of silicon covers and plastic shields.
I was afraid it would be cheap but works great.
This product package is terrible and has very poor quality. One of the headphones and the car adapter never worked right out of the box, and the AC adapter broke after the second use. I don't dare use anything else in the package and am trying to return it. All these problems happened in less than a week... this is the worst product I've ever bought at Amazon.com.
I bought this product to protect I Pod and its screen but its not functional. The skin Case Cover Protections are worthless as they will not stay on the I pod. It is impossible to use Screen Protectors with the Skin Case Cover as the quality of Skin Case Cover is too bad .Stereo Headphones are below average. USB Travel Home AC Charge works fine. Getting all these accessories at this price may be attractive but do not depend on it to protect your IPOD.
This is just a large collection of accessories you might need for your new iPod Touch 4G, with a very cheap value, and since it is cheap don't expect the top quality of anything. Everything worked great and best of all, most of the things are duplicated, so they are enough for two ipods. I don't think I'll need any more stuff for my ipod. The shipment arrived quickly, and its cheap price scared me at the beginning when I ordered the package, especially that it is all new stuff for the new iPod touch 4G, but I was mistaken, I like the package and I would highly recommend it to others.
This is a great value for the money. The plug has a light, easy to see at night. The leather case fits really well and adds a lot of protection. I'm very happy. One of the cases would cost more than the whole package.
For the money definitely a good deal. As others have said, even if some of the things don't work, the assortment is still worth buying. The soft cases are nice; all the other things seem to work. What's not to like?
I bought this product mainly for the wall charger and the cover. The case looks very cheap and comes off from the Ipod when I keep it in my pocket. If you are looking at protecting the Ipod, don't buy this product. My Ipod has few scratches already because of this lousy product. - Ipod Touch 4th Generation - Itouch - Electronics - Ipod'

Uninterrupted Power Supply Ups
I ordered this for my new computer, and we had a power flicker just a few hours after I set it up! It worked perfectly. There is software included that will let you check the status of the battery and tell the unit what to do if it loses power (such as turn off the computer). Very useful!
Two things to note:
1) Make sure you connect the battery! There's a note on it to do this, but just in case you get in an unwrapping frenzy, you have to turn it over and slide the cover off in order to do that.
2) Only 4 of the outlets are powered by the battery- the other 4 are JUST surge protection. So if you want more than 4 items plugged into the battery, you may want to upgrade to a different model! It works perfectly for me though! APC Back-UPS ES 8 Outlet 550VA 120V
So far I'm very pleased...I purchased this to safeguard my fiancee's Mac Mini. Setup was a breeze, just connect the battery, charge, plug in the AC and connect the data port to the Mac's USB port. The Mac instantly recognized the UPS in the Energy Saver section of System Preferences and provided me with several automated shutdown options...no additional software or configuration was necessary.
Great product. We use these at the company I work for. They are great in the case of a "flicker" in power, no lost data. Or in the case of a longer outage, this gives you approx. 3-5 minutes to save what you are working on and shut down your computer. In my eyes, 4 receptacles on battery is plenty. All you really need is monitor and tower, all other peripherals can be plugged into surge protector. I would absolutely recommend this unit and we plan to purchase more in the future.
I wanted a UPS back-up power system that would enable me to operate my PC (tower unit), 19 in monitor, all-in-one printer/fax/copier/scanner and router for a nominal 15 minutes following complete loss of power. The APS E8 meets the requirement for back-up outlets and back-up duration. The unit is relatively compact as the backed-up outlets are stacked over the 4 surge protected only outlets. The outlet functions are clearly marked. My only complaint is that the outlets should have been placed a little further apart to accomodate older equipment that uses plug mounted external transformers. Only 1 back-up & 1 surge protection only outlet are spaced sufficiently away from the others to accomodate such transformers. Otherwise, a transformer or similar oversized device with a plug will cover two outlets, reducing the utility of the box if those outlets are needed.
Product: APC Backup-UPS ES 8-Outlet 550VA
Rating: 3/5 (good)
I bought one of these units several years ago at my local computer/electronics stores ... not to protect a PC, but rather to protect my phone answering machine, cable box, and most importantly my new (and then quite expensive) Flatscreen TV. It's done a very admirable job, and I only recently re-gifted it to a family member, after replacing it with a newer model 1300.
Advantages:
* Easy to use, right out of the box.
* Multiple connection types and outlets.
* Low space-saving profile, easily fitting inside or under small cabinets and tables.
Disadvantages:
* Small battery offers very limited runtime (figure 7-10 mins).
* Lacks built-in digital display showing load and remaining runtime.
* Lacks manual bypass for loud audible power-outtage alarm.
Bottom line: this is a very decent no-frills unit if you're on a budget. However, an increasing array of newer units with status displays are becoming cost competitive. Lastly, if your power blinks frequently, the lack of an alarm bypass can become annoying.
-----------------
TIP: Most UPSs have limited runtime. For example, the XS-1300 I replaced 550 with only holds 7AH of power (which will run my PC for just under 1 hour). To greatly extend this, I bought a big 55AH sealed marine gel battery, a trickle charger, and a 400W inverter. When the power goes out, that gives me the option of plugging either my UPS/PC or my UPS/TV setups into the 55AH battery for an additional 8+ hours of runtime.
The APC website states this unit will supply power for approximately 13 minutes at 50% draw and approximately 3 minutes at 100%. I plugged it in via the supplied USB and Windows immediately recognized the UPS. It was configurable in the control panel power options - the Powerchute software was not even necessary. I installed it anyway, however, since I was used to using it in business settings (this one is for my home). The software automatically disables the Windows controls and installs a very easy to use application with more options than windows. All in all, a great little UPS. I got this one after returning a Cyberpower unit which was a piece of junk (I fell for the cheaper price but you get what you pay for!)
I purchased this product with the express interest in using it to back-up my homes wireless router. There are a couple quirks with it though:
1 For some reason, the particular product that I received had an extremely short battery connect cord. Which made it a slight nightmare to attach the battery. However, when I finally pushed hard enough, the battery connected and started to charge. I have not read of anyone having this kind of problem though, so I believe that I just received the odd-ball.
2 For some reason, mine decides to randomly switch to battery power for about 3-4 seconds even when the power is not out. The software on the computer says: "AC Power Restored", but does not give a reason for the device switching the power. It does not interrupt the power to my router, but it does occasionally click when the relay switches to battery power.
3 The computer software gives you an approximate amount of time that you have left on the battery. Oddly for me, it is about 40 minutes off. The software says that I have 24 minutes left, and when we had a blackout the other day it kept my router running for a little more than an hour. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, just strange.
The device has solid construction, a fairly large capacity, and though has some strange quirks, works fine for me. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a UPS. The only reason it is not a 5 star product is how the battery connections were so hard for me to attach.'

Sport Radio - radio, pocket radio
I bought this little radio to listen to some Jim Rome while working in the mornings... Big problem, the AM receiver doesn't work! I am able to listen only to FM radio stations, but AM does not receive one single station... If you want this as an FM radio by all means get it... But useless as an AM radio... Coby CX70BLK Mini Pocket AM/FM Radio, Black
The pros on this tiny radio are very apparent when
you place earbuds on it. The radio comes equiped with
earphones. I chose my own. Wow! great sound and built-
in enhanced bass. What a bagain! I paid $8.99
Cons: I'm too lazy to dial in my station because this
great mini piece of work come with a dial, not digital
readout. "Boy! have I gotten spoiled with digital
read-outs".
Too-bad-too-sad I love this product. I just wanted
a plain radio no MP3, no mayo no lettuce, just a good
mini pocket radio that would fit 2 AAA batteries,
It just does. I chose lithium. I highly recomend
this radio. Don't bother if you forgot how to manualy
tune.
Seriously, great overall and affordable, Coby CX-70 - Digital - Portable Radio - Pocket Radio - Radio'

Sensitive Skin
These are great baby wipes. Our newborn has never had a negative reaction to these wipes, and they are wet enough to get the job done on even the dirtiest diapers. This package contains 4 packs, each of which contains 192 wipes. The 192-wipe packs are further broken down into three individually-wrapped packs of 64 wipes, which fit perfectly into standard-sized plastic wipe containers, including the containers on most wipe warmers. So, you are really getting 12 individually wrapped packs of 64 wipes.
I don't have anything to add about the quality of this product. They are good. I just wanted to update folks with the fact that I just received a shipment of these and the flap that allows you to open and reseal the package is there. I still have packages of the old ones (we still had a whole box of the ones we ordered over a year ago when my toddler needed them, and we opened it with the arrival of our twins) and the only difference between the old packaging and new packaging is that the old packaging has an arrow and "open here" right by the resealable flap. Now there is no printing indicating the existence of the flap, but it is there.
We have really enjoyed using these wipes for our daughter. We carry a large package with us when we travel, and the wipes stay moist for weeks after being opened, as long as you reclose them with the adhesive strip. But there is the problem....
Just received a box of these wipes, and Pampers has decided to remove the reclosing feature, meaning that once open, you have to put them into a container. Feh - this is messy, and the wipes are now more exposed to air and will probably dry out. So now we cut open a slot and fashion a closure strap from a piece of packing tape (when we just want the package of wipes without the container.) Pampers: By cutting costs, you may have lost a customer - we'll look at other, more convenient brands now.
These wipes are great. They are very soft and don't irritate my daughter's skin, who is prone to eczema.
They also work in the wipe warmers (when you pull one out, it pulls another one up through the slot like a tissue. The Huggies wipes I tried did not do that, and you had to fish around for a new wipe each time.)
Each package is wrapped in plastic with a resealable strip that holds up to repeated use. The generic wraps I've tried often are packaged in thinner plastic that rips when you try to pull open the adhesive cover, or the adhesive loses its stickiness before the last wipe is used.
I keep a package in every room my baby plays in. If I had one complaint it is that 192 wipes is really overkill for the diaper bag, so I put some in a separate container or plastic bag, but that's the same with all brands I've tried (and it's the perfect amount of wipes for the wipe warmer, which I recommend for anyone who needs to change a diaper in the middle of the night, or whose baby doesn't like to get changed).
I usually use Huggies Natural Care, and recently tried these because they were less expensive. They are horrible and I can't wait until we are out of them so we can switch back! They are very thin. I have to use two at a time to avoid getting my hands dirty because stuff soaks through one wipe so quickly. They also have a slightly slimy feel that takes forever to dry on baby's skin, which means I have to sit there for even longer waiting to put a diaper back on with a child who is already squirmy. They also don't smell nearly as nice as the Huggies product. My child also seems to have developed a large diaper rash since starting to use these, but I'm not entirely sure it's the fault of the wipes (nothing else has changed though and in 10 months of using Huggies she's only ever gotten rashes when we travel, which didn't happen this week). I definitely do not recommend this product.
I purchased these wipes after reading reviews about the product. I agree, they do work very well. The only drawback is that due to the softness of the wipe, they can sometimes tear while being used. Other than that, they are absolutely wonderful on baby's skin and do a good job.
I previously used Huggies wipes but wanted to save money since they can be 5 cents a wipe. However, the Pampers wipes are so thin that I ended up using 2-3 wipes instead of the 1 Huggies wipe. Going back to using Huggies.
I like keeping wet wipes handy in the bathroom and in my car, but it has been hard to find wipes that don't break me out. I can only imagine what it must be like trying to find the right ones for sensitive little babies.
Thank goodness there's Pampers Sensitive Baby Wipes. After trying out what seems like dozens of different brands and styles, these are so far the only ones I've found that my skin tolerates. The only down side about them is that about a year ago the manufacturer whittled down their size. That's probably just fine for little bottoms, but I'm not little!
Amazon is the only place I've found where I can stock up on refills and get them shipped free. What more could I ask for? Absolutely nothing.
(Well, another grandbaby wouldn't hurt my feelings.)
Five stars! *****'

Magnetic Door Stop
I converted my entire home with new Kwikset exterior locks, hall lock sets, bedroom sets etc. and dummy handles. The lock are well made and work smooth to lock or unlock. There is a difference between lock companies engineering. One feature of the exterior locks is the capability to rekey all your locks yourself in a matter of minutes. They supply you with a thin metal key that you insert in a tiny slot and insert the key (Kwikset) that you want this lock to respond to and walla, its now keyed to the new key. In my case, I had three exterior locks, front door, garage door and outside garage door and in less than five minutes, all three now used the same key. This previously was a job for the big box store where purchased from at a cost for each lock. Best thing I like is how they work, nice and smooth.

Optical Engineering - electromagnetic, optical engineering
Good optics & science, lots of math, poor writing.
This is a very detailed & comprehensive introduction to lots of different methods of testing various optical surfaces and lenses. However, the writing itself should have been clearer, and there are some typos of fact (references to the wrong diagram, etc). Also, in numerous cases, one has to try to figure out for one's self what many of the variables in the many equations are supposed to stand for, which is annoying. The books is also rather expensive. However, I am glad I bought it, as I have already learned a lot of new things about optics that I didn't know before. Analog Interconnects - cables, rca cables
This is a pretty good cable. I use the cable for connecting my Logitech Speakers to my TV. The quality is pretty good, except sometimes when watching movies there is a little bit of static. I can tolerate it though since of course it is a really cheap cable and most of the time it does a really good job. PCD Basics RCA Stereo Audio Cable - 25ft (7.6M)
I was very excited to get this cable because I wanted my subwoofer to be hidden and I needed a long cable, but the second I connected the sub using these cables, I heard a lot of distortion, feedback, and noises. Quite disappointed!
Decent enough cable but it is subject to RFI as it is "unshielded" If you are intending to use this cable on any kind of a "pre amp" side of a system, DONT... it will pick up "hum and buzz" from any a/c source running anywhere close to it (RFI).
Purchase either "Shielded" cable or use "RJ5/6 coax with "compression" style RCA ends (yes I know the ends are $$ but the cable is far superior to the stranded wire)
For a gaming system? Not a problem in the world with this stuff, just not suitable for upper end audio systems.
Why spend boatloads of money on silly monstrous cables when all one needs is this?
The sound clarity is excellent, the plugs are solid and work just fine, no shorts, no problems.
There is something about these cables that seem maybe not quite as solid as they could be - but I don't need cables to be pulled out and moved and plugged in all the time. Maybe once every few years I'll actually even look at these things, so I don't think they'll ever go bad on me from that. If you're thinking of buying these because you're a DJ or someone else whose unhooking and setting up equipment on a daily basis, I think you'll want a more solidly built cable than this, but for home use these are your cables.
Save your money for something that really matters - like the DVDs and CDs you like. Don't waste it on cables that cost 10 times these and that deliver maybe at most a 0.1% increase in fidelity; an increase in fidelity that's going to be swamped by the sound of your air conditioning or furnace or bacon sizzling on the griddle, anyway.
The length of these cables is just what we needed for our components. The cables are not bulky and may affect durability but since we just leave them in place I think they will be fine for us. If you plan transport them around frequently you may need to look for some of a bit heavier quality. The sound has not been affected on our systems. - Rca Cables - Video Games - Rca Cable - Cables'

Coaxial Cable - coax, 50 ft
People have mentioned you get 50 of these for the price of 100 of a different brand and they are all rg-6 clips so why bother with this, right? Well turns out the philips clips have some advantages.
First, not all RG-6 is the same OD, like the quad foil shield rg-6 heavy duty. It turns out the Philips are more generously sized for larger rg-6 cables.
Also the plastic on the philips is a heavier grade (made with less regrind for those of you who know about injection molding) - all that means is it is less likely to crack
Finally the philips nail is a larger diameter and really grips into whatever you smack it on.
These quality issues make the 50 pack of better clips a good deal for me even when the 100 pack of the the thinner plastic/nail and smaller inside diameter product is also available. Both will do the job, but these won't come undone! Philips SWV2090W/27 Coaxial RG6 Nail-In Clips (50 Pack, White)
First off, these nail-in clips are wonderful; however, it's a shame that I didn't search further otherwise I would have gotten these instead (Cable-Clip White RG6 (100 pieces per bag)).
Pro(s):
- Pretty good quality (plastic and nails didn't break on any of them)
- Easy to use (nails came pre-installed with the plastic, just place and hammer away)
Con(s):
- Price
Recommendation(s)/Suggestion(s):
- If you're placing these outdoor, keep them out of the sun (long term exposure to the sun will cause the plastic to fade and turn brittle)
These really do the job at tucking coaxial cables nicely!
These Nail-In clips are a perfect for securing coax cable against a wall. What I was impressed with, was that the nails come pre-installed in the clips -- making it very easy to bang them into the wall. - Cat5 - Coax - 50 Ft - Cable Nails'

Usb Cables - cable, usb
I'm not knocking off any stars here because buying this cable - which I'm returning - was my mistake.
I bought it in hopes I could use it to connect an iPad to a PC (when using the USB hub that comes with the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit (MC531ZM/A)). I tried this with my PC and laptop and nothing.
If you look up USB cable 28106 at the Cables to Go site, you see this bit of information:
Please Note: This cable is not intended to connect two computers together or to connect a USB hub between two computers. Doing so may cause irreparable damage to your computers. We offer a USB file share cable (#39977) to connect two computers.
This cable may work great for its intended purpose, which as it says at the Cables to Go page for it, is to connect "keyboards, mice, modems, printers, and other USB peripherals" to a computer.
But it didn't work for me with an iPad-to-PC connection, and given the warning at the Cables To Go page, I wouldn't even consider taking the risk of causing "irreparable damage" by trying to use it to connect my PC laptop and desktop (I wasn't concerned that trying to connect an iPad to a PC would cause any damage, just a gut feeling that it would be okay, and thank goodness that the worst thing that happened was nothing at all - no iPad to PC connection, and no damage). Other than that, it wasn't overly thin (as one review led me to think it would be), and it looks like a nice quality cable (for whatever that's worth). Cables to Go 28106 USB A Male to A Male Cable (2 Meter, Black)
I bought this so I could transfer files from my main frame to my netbook. Haven't figured that one out yet but this is a good cable for the purpose. Definitely buy this is you have more than one computer.
I actually bought this thinking i could connect my laptop to my dvd player. Although it didn't work it dose connect my laptop to my printer very nicely. i would like to make a note that it not connecting to my dvd player wasnt the cables fault it was my own i bought the wrong type of cable.
The cables arrived in a timely fashion and were very reasonably priced. Bought them to connect my USB external drive to my notebook because it was longer than the cable that came with the external drive. The run must be too long and the power transmission too low - so it doesn't work. Instead, I must use the short cable that came with the drive. I have other uses for the longer cables, so not a problem and certainly not the cable manufacturer's/seller's fault.
I can say very much, lets very light weight. The picture makes it look like its a good heavy weight cord and its not. It would not be good for long period usage, or heavy data transfers. It did not work when I hooked up my two computers. It is well made, its only plus. - Usb Cable - Usb - Cable'

Kitchen Appliances - disappointing, popcorn
Well, I surely gave it a fair try: popped 3 batches of various sizes, closely following all directions, using fresh popping corn from two separate packages. Results:
* Noticeable cooked plastic odor and taste in the popped corn - yuck.
(... when I returned it to my local retailer, the clerk told me he had noticed the same problem in their sample...)
* You like your popcorn fluffly and light? All three batches were denser and heavier than standard popped corn.
* Far too many uncooked kernels.
* Poor build quality: the base had a loose part rattling inside that sounded like a broken piece.
* Seating the hotplate into the base takes some getting used to. At first I thought I had it seated properly and the rotor moved, but the plate refused to heat, requiring that I reseat it repeatedly and very precisely to get the cooking element to connect properly.
It's a shame. I had high hopes for this product (I trust and respect the Cuisinart name - I have one of their food processors). I liked that it had an anodized heating surface - believing that should make it very durable. Results were terrible though.
Does a very nice job of making popcorn as long as you follow the directions and have quick reflexes. When the popping stops, don't hesitate.
But ... after half a dozen batches, the machine quit working. Apparently the heating element wore out. The person at the 1-800 number confirmed that seemed to happen a lot. In other words, Cuisinart appears to know that the thing is a piece of junk. They say they're going to send us another one -- as soon as we decide whether to pay the postage for it.
I bought this for the family, and I was very excited about using it as it's a novel way to make popcorn, and we love the stuff. The second time I used it, however, I burned the hell out of my wrist. This product has a terrible design flaw: when you up-end the base after popping, you expose the heating element. Unless you are very careful when lifting the relatively heavy (and unbalanced) base and bucket, you will burn yourself badly.
Secondly, the plastic lid on the base of the bucket (the top of the popper) sits loosely. You might need a third hand to hold it on as you turn the tub over, or you could spill a trace of hot oil on your counter or yourself.
Thirdly, the small plastic pieces that are designed to protect the heating plugs in the base snap off easily. This bit of plastic broke within 3 uses in the first popper we bought. The piece wedged in a way that the heating element could not be plugged in any longer. We returned it for a second unit, and after a month the same bit of plastic broke again. At this point I threw it in the trash, mostly to make a point to myself (of course, I really should have gotten my money back).
This product is fundamentally flawed in so many ways. Please, please, please do yourself a favor and avoid it.
I read the bad reviews, but we wanted the best popcorn popper available. We love our food processor, our toaster, and our coffee maker - so we went with the lure of the Cuisinart brand name, which usually means top quality. But not in this case. Too bad. The EasyPop worked great for 3 days, then the plate wouldn't heat anymore and there are broken pieces bouncing around inside the base - just like the other reviews warned me about. (Doh!) Now we'll call the 800 number and hope for the best. A waste of time and money.
This popcorn maker is a great alternative to those unhealthily microwavable brands. You make the popcorn to your liking, with very little oil. For me I use a whole mess of salt and real melted butter...we are talking about snack food after all. The best results, though, do come from using less oil. The unit is quick and easy: oil, kernels, and switch it on, that's it. It even pops right into the serving bowl. The vents at the top help the hot air move through the popping chamber making the popcorn light fluffy. But this is no air popper; you know this is the real deal when you taste it. Another thing I found useful was the bottom lid on the severing bowl. It prevents a mess by catching the salt and crumbs that can slip through the vents. Getting the bottom plate attached is a pain but it's a one time operation. Overall, this is a great value and I am quite satisfied with its performance.
We, as similar to others, were focused on the Cuisinart brand. Went through 4 of these within a 1 month period all had similar defects. When attatching the base to the popping container the locking tabs break. The tabs are very poorly constructed and it is not capable of frequent usage. Do not buy this product.Buyer beware.
For the first time, I am submitting a negative review. The Cuisinart "EasyPop" popcorn maker I purchased through Amazon is so completely defective that I have never, ever, been able to get even one grain of popcorn to "pop." Now admittedly, the instructions are quite clear: "The unit will not operate if popping plate is not positioned correctly." That is a gross understatement. I have rotated the "plate very slightly back and forth" as directed, and I have felt "the plate fall into place" on countless occasions. But despite my best efforts and that of friends and family, it (the miserable unit) has never worked. I called Cuisinart for help. "Sorry, the heating element must be defective, but since you did not purchase it from Cuisinart we cannot help you." Amazon, as I foolishly failed to keep the box in which the unit had been packed, cannot assist me either. So, I say buy this "EasyPop" Cuisinart unit with extreme caution and care as you may suffer the same fate... ownership of a $70 popper that will not "pop." - Popcorn - Popcorn Poppers - Cuisinart - Healthy Eating - Disappointing - Popcorn Maker'
