makeup remover - makeup remover
Like the product, don't love it. This is the first lotion remover I've tried, and I think I'm partial to a liquid. It removes most of my waterproof mascara, but there's a bit more residue than I'm used to. What I do like is that it's very gentle--no stinging. Definitely recommend following the direction that you use a damp cotton ball to apply. Using a dry one just doesn't cut it! Avon Moisture Effective Eye Makeup Remover Lotion
I've used this product for a few years now and it never disappoints. It goes on smoothly and I never have to worry about it getting in my eyes since it seems to be safe and so gentle. You don't need too much to do the job of taking off your makeup and it leaves a nice soft feeling when you are done. I won't use any other product. For the money and softness, it is well worth every penny.
The eye makeup remover is gentle but effective. I use it in the shower. It is lotion-y, so you can massage it over your eyes. I wish it came in a larger volume even though a little bit of it goes a long way.
Wish they'd take down that $.0l price down. I was so stupid I thought it was $01 Cent. I purchased 2 bottles and they charged me $5.00 for each bottle for Shipping/Handling. Cost for two bottles of Avon eye makeup remover $10.02.
Good stuff one or two sweeps and the mascara and eye makeup is gonezo.
It was getting hard to find my previous favorite mascara remover, and most of them don't work well, or they create a "film" on my eyes. This works VERY WELL and does NOT get that film in my eyes. I will certainly recommend it and buy again. I use waterproof mascaras, and they are usually harder to remove, but it is no problem for this. It only takes a tiny bit, and I don't have to rub hard. This is my new favorite mascara remover! - Makeup Remover'

Cordless Screwdriver - screwdriver, power tools
The benefits of cordless power tools are obvious, but who says you need to pay hundreds of dollars to get the job done if you live in an apartment and don't have a contractor's license?
For $25, this is a super addition to any toolbox -- or kitchen cabinet. This is a great gift idea for dad -- or mom, for that matter.
Here's why:
* Quick-release collar allows you to pop in a screw or drill bit in a flash. A nice, tight grip.
* Multiple forward or reverse speeds at the click of a button. Torque control on the collar is easy to adjust and visual icons make it easy to figure out which one is best depending on whether you're using a screw or drill bit. Sweet.
* From 3-6 hours of operation on a single charge. Because it can take about six hours to re-charge, it's a good idea to leave this plugged into an outlet in the kitchen, bathroom or garage (but not longer than 3-4 weeks without use to avoid reduction in battery life).
* Ability to pivot the position of the handle or angle is big plus and great way to avoid carpel tunnel pain.
* The LED light, built-in removable tape measure and bit holder on the handle are fluff, but add to the coolness factor.
* Surprisingly light weight for it's rather large size.
So far no complaints. Price, form and function add up to a solid 5-star rating. You simply can't go wrong here. Black & Decker PD600 Pivot Plus 6-Volt Nicad Cordless Screwdriver with Articulating Head
I have one of these power screwdrivers and it is a lifesaver! It cuts down on installion time by quite a lot. My fiance put together two new bookshelves for me with this screwdriver in FAR less time than it normally takes him with a regular screwdriver!Besides being a great screwdriver, it also can act as a drill (if you get the right bits). Since it has two speeds, you can drill holes at a quick speed, then use the slower speed when you're using the screwdriver part. It also has a handy tape measure inside for quick, last minute measuring. Another great benefit is that it locks in to three different positions - so if you need to get to something at an awkward angle, it makes it a LOT easier! It also has a handy light on it, so if you are screwing something in a dark part of a room, you can see better what you're doing. I'm very impressed with this tool - I highly recommend purchasing it! You will not be disappointed!
Have been using this product for over 2 years. The design and power is pretty good for normal jobs around the house. The biggest complain that I have is the battery. NiCd is really getting on my nerves because we are used to much better technologies now. Recharging is always tricky because if you don't drain it all, the memory effect will kill the battery in a few short circles. Switch to other products with Li-Ion battery (just like the ones in our cell phones) which will give you more power and with little or no memory effect.
Purchased this as a Christmas present for my wife and have been installing blinds ever since. While it's not intended to take the place of an 18 volt drill, it does a great job screwing and unscrewing. The forward, reverse rocker switch is more convient than others that we have used and the angles are handy. I would not recommend it as a replacement for the DeWalt heavy duty cordless screwdriver (my favorite), but it's lighter and 1/3 the price. Well worth the money....
This is the best *cheap* cordless screwdriver I have ever used. The ergonomics of this driver feels good in your hand. Plenty of power and charge in the 6V battery. The clutch eliminates the problem of overtightening and the drill speed is great for quick pilot holes. The two bit holders and LED light really add to the convenience. I haven't used the tape, which is pretty cheesy, but I imagine it could come in handy for a quick measurement. I only have two complaints, but for less than $30, they really don't matter... 1) It should have a LED to indicate that it is charging, 2) I wish the battery was replacable. For the money, this is an indispensible gadget.
It does everything as advertised.Pros: different torque settings, 2 drive speeds, small LED light, pivot point, overall "feel".Cons: drilling is only for light duty jobs (otherwise get a real drill), charging time takes too long. connection for the charger plug is right in the pivot point and it doesn't let you use it while plugged in.Other than the charging issues(that's why I won't give it 5 stars) but it's a great tool at a decent price.
I think all the advertised features are practical and usefull:
- Low speed high torque for screwdriving and higher speed for drilling.
- Integrated LED light eliminate dark spot or your shadow cast.
- Pivotable handle allows the best grip -- keep it straight for normal screw driving and tilt it all the way for larger job with higher torque requirements.
- Dettachable tape measure provides some conveniences too in case you forgot to wear one.
And I also like its exceptional power for it's size and thanks to it's adjustable torque output I strip less screws. It's light weight too for it's power.
However, I don't care much about its quick connect/disconnect collar as there are not many bits I would use this screwdriver with besides the phillips and flat and occasionally an allen head.
Several more complaints (not really that bad) to follow:
- Not a good drill for 1. its high speed is not high enough and 2. you need non-standarad/special drill bit to work with its quick connect/disconnect collar. The included one drill bit however is good for pilot hole for screw. (I use better cordless drill but a good drill normally weighs a lot more).
- Battery not changeable (who cares.. get a whole new power screwdriver for only $25)
- No variable speed (this means you cannot start or stop your drive slowly)
- No battery indicator (hmmm.. can't seem to know which one has..)
As far as the battery life is concerned, I suggest following the manual's maintenance recommendation and you should get the max out of it.
Conclusion: A good buy and I highly recommend if you are looking for a more powerful electric screwdriver but don't want to bear the weight of a real cordless drill. Five stars for the screwdriver (one star for the drill) - Cordless Drill - Screwdriver - Power Tools - Black And Decker'

Universal Laptop Charger - toshiba satellite ac adapter, battery charger
My puppy chewed up my laptop charger and I needed a quick fix without having to spend too much. The shipping was extremely fast and the product was great, but after a week it stopped working. I have to spend about 20 minutes every time positioning my laptop so that it will charge. I would recommend spending the extra money for a better charger. Universal AC Adapter/Power Supply/Charger Cord for Toshiba Laptop 90w
I have owned this product for alittle over a month and I have not had any problems with it. My computer is about 5 years old and the battery doesn't hold charge, so I have keep the charger plugged in constantly. I have NOT had any problems with pieces being broken or loose as I had read previously. I am very happy with the use I am getting out of this computer charger. NO PROBLEMS HERE!
The item arrived fast and packaged well. It worked as one of the tips fit my laptop. You will need to be careful with it after a week or so of moving the laptop around and plugging and unplugging laptop the tip worked loose and no longer supplied power without alot of wiggling it around.
I looked at the product reviews before purchasing and I wasn't sure if i should have bought this charger especially since it was less than 10 dollars!
But now I own this computer charger now and it SUCKS!!! I have used 2 tips since 2 fit my computer and they both gave me the same problems. I have to move the tip around in circles to find where it will charge for the time being and it has to stay in that position the whole time without moving to make it charge.
I do not recommend buying this charger.
This product was a huge piece of garbage. The adapter would not stay plugged into the back of my computer. We had to keep moving the cords around in order for the lights to go on and charge the computer. It lasted about 2 weeks then we couldn't handle the dumb thing so we don't even try to use it any more. It basically will not charge my computer unless I hold the adapter plug just right into the back of my computer and let it charge. Waste of money.
I needed a universal charger cord for my Toshiba laptop when mine stopped working(they didn't sell one for my laptop anymore). I looked at multiple places but it was like $90. I'm very happy with this purchase it works great! - Notebook Power Adapters - Universal Laptop Ac Adapter - Battery Charger - Toshiba Satellite Ac Adapter'

Door Lock - keyless deadbolt, keyless
Let me say first off, I've been a Realtor and owner of my own real estate company for 25-years. I know quality and I see new, neat, high-end products on a daily basis. I've opened 1000's of doors, locks and deadbolts over the past 25-years.
Well, I was at the Ft. Lauderdale Home Show this Memorial day weekend. I go every year, and usually find at least one neat, cool item at the show that's a "must have" for the home and buy it or order it if its not available at the show. Well, the Sunnect AP501SN easily fit the bill this year.
So I bought two Sunnect AP501SN Advanced Protection Digital Deadbolt Locks, one for my front door and one of the door leading into the house from the garage. I installed one of them today.
These are heavy, well made, well constructed, nice looking top-shelf deadbolt locks. The quality, fit and finish is second to none.
It was real easy to install where my original existing deadbolt was located, the directions and photos were well written and easy to follow.
What is even more impressive is the technology that went in to designing and building these deadbolts. The Sunnect AP501SN is by far superior to Schlage, Quickset or anything else on the market.
These are the finest digital keypad deadbolts on the market at any price.
Its got a ton of neat features, including the autolock feature, which automatically locks the door after 3-seconds of closing it. Wow, never forget to lock your door, its automatic, unless you don't want to activate this feature, no problem, you can.
The two included access keys (and you don't need to use them)are 21st Century technology. No key hole, therefore no getting key bumped by the bad guys.
The unit has blue/red colored lights and musical tones/sounds that easily communicate with you so you know by both sight and sound how to program the deadbolt for your personal and individual needs and the status of your lock after you complete the install.
This is a 5-star product, and deserving for any homeowner, apartment owner, property manager, as its been approved by this Realtor. Sunnect AP501SN Advanced Protection Digital Deadbolt Lock, Satin Nickel
This is it. Top of the line. There's nowhere to go after this. Impeccable fit and finish. Good looking, sturdy, easy to use, easy to install. Now that I have them in my own home, I can say that the product videos are very accurate representations of what to expect. Watch them. It really is that easy and convenient. The written manual is of similar quality, and clearly explains all the features. My wife was a little concerned about the potential for getting locked out of her house by a crashing computer, but after reading the manual and using them for only a day, she's very comfortable with them. The manual latch on the inside and the 9V terminal on the outside ensure you'll always be able to get in or out. They are a little expensive, but easily pay for themselves the first time you lose a key and DON'T have to call a locksmith. Not to mention the value that comes from knowing they're un-bumpable, and the convenience of being able to hand out temporary codes and keys to house guests, pet sitters, etc.
I will mention one minor snag with installation: the included magnetic strike plates were not the same size as any of the existing strike plates on the doors in my 20-year-old home. (The bolt and bolt plates fit perfectly.) I don't know if things have been standardized since then, or if my builder just didn't follow standards. Some were too large, some too small. Without the magnet, the deadbolts still work, but the more advanced features like auto-lock and alarm are disabled. Fortunately, it is just a magnetic sensor, so simply attaching a tiny neodymium magnet (available online, from hobby stores, or even out of an old hard drive) on the bottom lip of your existing strike plates activates those features without requiring any modifications to the door frame. I just happened to have a bunch of neodymium magnets in my parts box, but if Sunnect had included several sizes of plate, or a neodymium retrofit right in the box, I'd have given them 6 stars for going above and beyond. As is, I'll have to knock them down to "only" 5.
Bottom line, this is as good as it gets, and if you're already interested enough to be reading this, you should probably just click the order button now.
The Good
-Great security
-Easy to use and program entry codes and register keys
-Sleek design and looks just as good in person
-Long battery life, option to hookup 9V if runs out
-Installation was easy with existing door cutouts.
The Bad
-Priced a little high, but well worth the investment.
I first went to Lowes and Home Depot looking for a Deadbolt for my home. I have a 3 and 2 year old children. Babysitter, Maid, and friends are always coming and going and so I was always forgetting to lock the door. One time I found my two children outside since the door wasn't locked and I was busy with my 3 month old. Having such young children makes this household very, very, very busy! After the initial shock of my children being outside, I decided to change the lock. I first bought a lock from Homedepot but it didn't have autolock which was what I was really looking for. They did have one that did but the buttons and lock looked so cheap that I decided to pass. I installed their most expensive one which was around $120 but after two days I decided to order this lock from amazon. As soon as I received it, I could tell a huge difference in locks. This one was a lot heavier and seem more secure than the other lock. It did take me a bit of time to install it because the deadbolt was a different size than my existing one but I love it. On the door jamb side is a magnetic part which knows when the door is closed and auto locks the door for me. It looks ten times better than the home depot one. The only issue I have is that there is only one programable code for the lock. I think. The other was able to handle 20 different codes but I guess it is no big deal for me. I wouldn't be able to tell who opened the door anyway like my alarm company does when I use a code. If I didn't have the alarm, it would be a different story but overall I do love this lock. - Deadbolt - Keyless - Keyless Deadbolt - Keyless Entry'

Mini Torch - mini torch
I use a very lightweight alcohol stove when I'm backpacking, which uses denatured ethanol. One of the problems with that fuel is that it has a low vapor pressure at low temperatures. So the stove is really hard to light, especially in the mornings way up in the mountains.
I'd previously bought a Soto Pocket Torch, but that thing stopped working really soon. But while it was still working, it was so much nicer to instantly light my little stove with its very hot blue flame that I hunted around and found this.
So far I've only taken it on one forty-miler into Yosemite, but it worked beautifully. Wall Lenk LMJ280 Turbo-Lite Torch - Mini Torch'

Martial Arts - martial arts, adventure
Saw this at Facets in Chicago last night, and it was amazing. It's one of those movies that I want to show to all my friends.
Fair warning, DON'T WATCH THE US TRAILER. They should fire whoever was responsible for that. This is a CGI action movie the same way "This is Spinal Tap" is a 90-minute live recorded performance by U2. That is to say, it's not. 90% of Big Man Japan is shot in a documentary style and it has a hilarious "slow burn" style of humor that is just not evident from the trailer. If you're expecting slapstick and big monster fights, you'll get some of that but it's not what the movie is all about. It's very Christopher-Guest-ish, so think "Waiting for Guffman" or "Best in Show" (or again, "This is Spinal Tap").
I probably laughed harder at the ending to this movie than I did at anything all year, and I feel sorry for the people who didn't "get" it. Do yourselves a favor and watch some old tokusatsu like Ultraman or Spectreman before you see this. That is the genre that this movie is spoofing, so you should at the very least have a LITTLE familiarity with it. Beyond that, you don't need to be a huge Japanophile to love this, as the humor is pretty universal. This movie definitely earned its spot in my top 25 favorite comedies. Big Man Japan
If you aren't fairly familiar with modern Japanese comedy then you are probably going to miss a lot of what "Big Man Japan" has to offer. For example, "Downtown" is not a name that is going to mean much to most Americans, but they are a phenomenal comedy-duo that are incredibly influential and whose style dominates much of modern Japanese comedy. Think Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Second City Theatre, or Saturday Night Live.
"Big Man Japan" (Japanese title "Dai-Nipponjin" or "Giant Japanese Person") is "Downtown" member Matsumoto Hitoshi's big screen debut as both a staring actor and a director. Much of the humor is in his trademark style, and he brought along plenty of famous friends for cameos, although noticeably missing is his "Downtown" partner Masatoshi Hamada.
The film is done in a mockumentary-style, following the life of slacker Daisatou Masaru who has inherited his power to grow to an enormous size from his father and his now-senile grandfather, both who previously served as "Big Man Japan." Masaru draws a government salary to protect Japan from the various Godzilla-like monsters that attack from time to time, but his heart isn't really in it. The public mocks him and complains about the property damage and environmental aspects of his battles. His manager sells advertising space on his giant body. Things just aren't going well.
Most of the first part of the film is just following Masaru around, looking in on his daily life, dingy apartment and how he looks after his senile grandfather. When duty calls, however, he swells up to battle the monster-of-the-week (many of whom are the aforementioned cameos of famous friends), sometimes managing to beat the monster away but sometimes getting it handed to him. The final sequence goes to even more left-field, as Big Man Japan gets to live his dream by joining the Ultraman squad, and all pretense of story goes out the window.
All of the monsters are CGI, and they are intentionally done in a cheesy manner. Like the bad special effects on shows like "Saturday Night Live," much of the humor comes from how terrible and unrealistic the special effects are, and from seeing famous comedians morphed into giant versions of themselves. Other than these big flashes, the humor is done in a deadpan-style, and it isn't a fast-paced movie until the final payoff in the end.
I really enjoyed "Big Man Japan," but I think this is because I lived over in Japan for several years and am a huge fan of "Downtown." Like the film Takeshis, which also was cameo-ridden, this just isn't something that was made for the overseas market, and I think if I was seeing it cold then I wouldn't have enjoyed it. Fans of pure absurdity will probably get a kick out of it, and people who enjoy a good man-in-suit giant monster movies like The Super Robot Red Baron and All Monsters Attack might find something good here too. Otherwise, it is probably going to be a snoozer for you.
As other reviewers here have stated, this is largely a satire on certain genres of Japanese film, and it helps to know those references. But even as one who's seen a pretty small amount of Japanese film (except Kurosawa, a true genius), I still found it slyly funny during the many slow character-driven parts, and incredibly stupidly hilarious during the fight scenes.
Even if you get bored with the satire of the superhero's daily life (it is indeed very dry wit and meant for those with enough intellect to not demand a new fight every two minues), simply fast forward to the half dozen fight scenes, which are among the most insanely goofy visual weirdness I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty. They mock the monster genre while simultaneously glorying in the splendid silliness of the whole concept. Plus, the monsters are some of the weirdest creatures you will ever see. Just looking at them is funny, but watching them fight the bored superhero is a whole new type of laugh.
This comedy turns all sorts of ideas on their heads and exposes the idiocy of not only fanboys and cultists but also the selfishness of modern people, whatever culture they're from.
Highly recommended for those with imagination, and those who can laugh at their own preconceptions.
And remember, even if you get bored, make sure to ff to the fight scenes. They get better and better as they go, and the ending is a cracker.
This is Japanese wackiness at its best. Just imagine a mockumentary a la 'This is Spinal Tap' but on the subject of monster (kaiju) movies... and of course with a heaping spoonful of utterly unique and odd humor that Japan does best. If you're not into Japanese humor and offbeat stuff, you probably shouldn't even consider renting this, trust me you'll just sit there nodding your head while whispering 'wtf' to yourself. However if you're accustomed to more experimental Japanese films then you're probably a little more primed for what to expect. We follow a thirty something solitary guy who lives alone and just happens to defend Japan from an odd assortment of giant monsters. That's probably all I should say, getting too much more into it would be utterly confusing to articulate.
I absolutely love movies like this, mostly because seeing films play it safe gets old fast... having something jump in there and just be totally 100% unique is such a great breath of fresh air. Also, the cool thing is that even though this movie is wacky and off beat it still seems meaningful at times, and underneath all of the goofiness there is still plenty of meaningful symbolism to be found. If you do decide to watch this, just wait till the last twenty minutes or so... as it's one of the weirdest and funniest endings ever. This one gets a 4.25/5 stars. Works well. OEM part and a fair price. :)
Fits very snugly into car outlet and make sure that you push it in all the way or proper connection will not be made. Likewise, one has to exert some strength to remove adapter from socket. However, does indeed provide full power to Garmin on long trips.
The Garmin StreetPilot C550 already comes with a vehicle power charger. I did not know that when I purchased this one. Don't buy an additional one unless you feel the need for two of them! The one it came with works just fine, so I'll be returning this one.
This is a replacement for my Garmin Nuvi 680. I losted my vehicle DC power adapter with MSN direct receiver. I don't want to spend more money therefore I ordered this one. I have a dell inspiron 14, and the cover is a little snug. It's working well though and now I can carry my laptop in my school backpack rather than carry a separate laptop bag. This was bought for our teen daughter for Christmas, the only negative things about it are 1.no strap 2.no pockets, other than that it is great, but in all fairness i knew both things about it when ordered,it came in very fast, was just as described, great item for the price.
It came 2 days after I bought it. The gray is actually darker than in that picture but it's acceptable and the design is gorgeous. At first, I thought it was slightly short for my laptop but it fits my DELL STUDIO 14" perfectly. It's light and easy to carry around. I love it!

Screen Protectors
These screen protectors definitely fall into the 'you get what you pay for' category.
Strike 1:
The screen protectors are *not* precisely cut. After several re-applications to ensure I was installing it correctly, there's still a micro-seam on one side that 'overhangs' the screen. Thinking I had a dud, I tried screen protector #2 from the 3-pack, only to find it worse than the first. This overhang creates an inability for the screen protector to properly seal - leaving a vertical stripe of non-seated protector film down the face of the iPhone 4.
Strike 2:
After scuttling #1 & #2 screen protectors, I tried #3. This one fit the best of the bunch, but was still clearly ill-cut. However, it had some surface bloom patterns (not air bubbles beneath the surface, but actual blotches of discoloration) that wouldn't wipe away - they're 'in' the plastic film. Sigh.
Strike 3:
No cutout for the front-facing camera. While I don't have any plans of using the FaceTime feature anytime soon, its omission from the design scheme, as well as the poor engineering noted above, makes it abundantly clear that quality control wasn't a priority (or consideration) in far-flung China.
Save yourself a few clams and skip these, fellow iPhone 4 owners. Wait for the Otterbox cases. Fosmon Transparent Clear Screen Protector for iPhone 4 4G HD with Lint Cleaning Cloth - 3 Pack
This film is not cut to the size that it need to be. It is the correct size of the iPhone 4 screen but the manufacturer clearly did not test it on the real iPhone 4. The film is maybe 0.5mm too big and the microscopic plastic layer on the edges does not allow for it to touch the glass on the edges. Hard to explain, but it looks great all around, except the round edges where it's not touching the glass.
To manufacturer:
1. Keep the packaging
2. Keep the same price
3. Remeasure the GLASS surface, not the overall front surface, because that plastic band screw things up for cover.
Then it will be great.
I felt compelled to review after seeing so many 1-star reviews for this product.
This thing fits the iPhone 4 perfectly. Maybe some of these other reviewers were applying it on an older model. The quality is definitely higher than that of the generic ones you see for $1-2 shipped from Hong Kong. The second peel off skin is usually the same on both sides of China made LCD protectors (which lifts the freshly applied skin off and allows dust in or bubbles to form) but this one has the very thin film as the second coating which is easy to remove and boasts it's overall superior material construction.
I have no idea what an earlier reviewer was talking about when he said the surface is uneven.. maybe he got a different order or his was subjected to heat. This is a great deal on amazon. Screen protectors are annoyingly difficult to apply, in general, and justifiably receive low reviews, but bashing this particular product for being low quality is unwarranted. For the extremely low price, the quality is paramount. I got mine on with just one tiny speck of trapped dust, on the second try, and that's fine for me.
Always remember to buy more than 1 screen protector because it's hard to do correctly the first (or even second) time!
I have used this brand of product before, and was very pleased with them. Installation is very easy, and the finished product looks very clean and sharp. The new display looks great. The reason that I gave this product a poor rating is that they did not make a cut out for the front facing camera. The film goes right over top of the camera hole. I doubt that Face Time will look very good now.
Some of the reviews say it wasn't cut right. I didn't have that problem. However:
-The material itself was a bit dinged/scratched up already.
-They attached little white tabs to help you remove and apply the film, but they used cheap glue which leaves that awful residue you can't seem to get off (I had to use paint remover and it still wouldn't come off).
-The cut doesn't go all the way to the edge so it tends to lift off if you are using a case
... Don't buy it!! Amazon you should delist these guys.
Ok, the product cost me $.78 for 5 protectors and was sent in a envelope with a $.44 first class stamp, meaning somewhere in that $.34 difference there was production cost and profit. Go figure. After a month, I'm still on my first protector with no signs of wear.'
