Brioni Made In Italy - brioni made in italy, suit
I bought this suit online. I was a little leery at first, but after receiving it today, the cut is great, I am normally a 38 r and I took a chance and bought a 38s. It fits nice, the lining inside is good, and the fit is great!. I went to Nordstrom to look for suits, and the linen suits they had for three times the price weren't even as nice. Camper Shell - headliner
It's been a while since I had carpeted a speaker enclosure but I wanted to match the back end of my car and no one locally carried this carpet in black. I ordered from Amazon and got it within a week, I was very pleased with the carpet. It was stretchable yet still strong, and also the texture was not too much so that it was like a shag carpet. The carpet was applied with Super90 spray adhesive over the MDF enclosure and trimmed with a razor blade. Overall I love the feel and look of this carpet as it matches my factory rear carpet perfectly, and I will be reordering if I need more for other custom work in my hatch. Good product at a good price! 20'L*4' wide POLYMAT BLACK Speaker Sub Box Carpet Truck Car Trunk Liner, Dash Cover, Interior Headliner Carpet
Just finished installing this over Reflectix insulation in my camper shell... Looks great! Easy to work with. I had no previous experience installing insulation in a vehicle. It took a while, but, with patience I figured it out. 3M spray adhesive worked well, too. My camper shell looks good and I hope that between the Reflectix and the Polymat headliner it will be warm... I'll find out soon as I am going on a cross country ski trip to Yosemite and plan to sleep in the camper. Material does NOT, repeat NOT, tear easily... It is tough! - Headliner'

Baby-proofing - pet gate, dog gate
After trying 3 different gates (that all had high ratings on Amazon), this is my second favorite. I turned my home into my own version of a baby gate showroom to figure out which one I wanted, so here's my take on three different gates.
I think they are all pretty good gates, it just depends on your situation and what features you're looking for. The key features that ended up making a difference to me were 1) the width of the gate opening and 2) the latch mechanism
Summer Infant - Sure & Secure Extra Tall Gate
---------------------------------------------
cost $60 & extensions included / gate is 36" Tall / fits 28"-48" doorway width / 2" bar to step over / gate opening 19"
- This is the one that I wanted to like because I thought it was the best deal.
- The gate opening is about 19" - which I thought was ok, but hubby wanted wider.
- The latch mechanism is really easy to operate and I thought kids could figure it out easily, but because the gate is so tall, they would probably have a hard time reaching it.
- It does come with its own extensions in 5" and 10" so it more easily fits the wider doorways.
- However, depending on the width of your doorway, this one may or may not fit as well. For example, I had a lot of doorways that are about 33" and this gate didn't end up fitting well in them because the gate without any extensions was too small and the posts had to be extended so far it didn't seem stable. And the 5" extension was too big to add. (vs. the kidco gate's extensions add 2.75" as needed).
- It's by far the tallest and I liked that since my daughter has been in the 95% so far. I also just like the way the taller gate looks.
- It does have the highest bar across the bottom to step over - 2".
- If it fits well in your doorway it is probably the best value for the money.
Kidco Center Gateway:
---------------------
cost $85 & extensions $24 / gate is 29.5" Tall / fits 29.25" to 37.5" doorway width / 1" bar to step over / gate opening 22"
- Has the widest gate opening (the space you walk thru, not the doorway that it fits into) of any of them - about 22". (This certainly won points from my 6'2" husband who was pretty irritated when walking thru some of the others). I was surprised after reading so many reviews on all these gates that there wasn't more mention of this feature.
- This one also had the most secure latch feature. You have to push a button to lift the handle and lift the gate over a little ledge to open it and walk thru. I figure this will absolutely be the hardest one for my little one to figure out.
- This gate has the most adjustable widths and therefore would probably be the strongest in most door widths. The gate has about 2.75" pieces on the ends that you can use or not with the optional extensions (more 2.75" spindles as additions - 2 per box) to provide the most width flexibility. Because all the gates become "weaker" if the posts are extended too much, this one seems the sturdiest in my doorways. (ie. if the gate says it fits up to 37" and your door opening is 36.5", it won't seem as sturdy as if the doorway was 34").
- It doesn't have its brand name printed on it anywhere (a plus in my book) so it's totally white.
- It has the lowest bar across the floor that you have to step over at only 1" high (seems less of a tripping risk).
- This is the one that has the highest rating from Consumer Reports. (Child safety gates 8/04)
- Unfortunately, it also is the most expensive of the bunch at about $85 + any extensions you need.
- I do have to say that this one had the most confusing directions, but you can still figure it out ok - none of them took longer than 10 minutes to set up.
- It's the shortest gate and I wish it was a little taller.
- All in all, if you can afford the price of this one, it's definitely worth it!
First Years - Hands-Free Gate
-----------------------------
cost $50 & extensions $15 / gate is 32" Tall / fits 29"-34" doorway width / 1.5" bar to step over / gate opening 17"
- My gripe with this gate was primarily because the gate opening is only 17" wide! I'm 5'8" and I felt like I was going to have to really pay attention walking through it so I wouldn't end up bumping it every time. However...
- The hands-free step pedal is pretty cool and worked pretty easily. I wouldn't worry about a little kid figuring it out and having enough weight to be able to push it down to open it. For me it just wasn't cool enough to overcome my issue with the gate opening width.
- Good height to the gate.
- It was very sturdy in my doorway.
- This one did have a little ramp feature for the bar that goes across the floor that helps minimize the tripping factor.
- Fits only up to 34" doorways so has the best chance of needing an extension.
- All that being said, if you really want a hands free gate, and the width of the gate opening doesn't bug you, try this one.
All three gates seemed to:
- Fit pretty tightly in the doorways after being adjusted properly. Depending on your walls and if you have moldings etc, you might need to take an extra 5-10 minutes to adjust them and get them straight and hanging correctly.
- Had the same type of post for the pressure-mount that is covered with a rubbery material to help it not slip on the wall.
- Were pretty easy to set up.
- All look about the same from a quality point of view - in other words one of them didn't look "cheaper" to me than the others.
Please remember that for safety, only hardware mounted gates are considered stable enough to put at the top of stairs, so don't use any of these for that. Think about how you will use these gates in your house and what features you will value. Good luck with your own purchase! Mini Helicopter - mini helicopter, cobra
I own four SYMA helos and they all have different characteristics.
First, I purchased a red S107G for 22$ and was blown away. However, after a multitude of crashes related to hitting the ceiling my first one was beginning to show wear (rotor blades dented/chiped, broken canopy brace, led not centered, vertical stabilizer cracked awaiting it next crash to come off) within one week.
Second, I purchased a second 107G and it came as yellow. The first thing I noticed was the yellow one, while completely identical other than color, was much more powerful and battery lasted longer. As a result, it was more fun and more difficult to fly than red.
Third, being that I am former active duty helocopter mechanic (CH-53a,d,e, T64-GE-416) for the Marines, I bought the S108G (Cobra). Folks, the Cobra is a completely different helo all together. The collective (vertical control) is not spring loaded like the S107G. Not only that, the Cobra is much more robust in its response and power and can be difficult to manage. This is troublesome to me as the Cobra's body and frame appears to be completely plastic (as apposed to the S107 having a metal frame). Also, the Cobra has one solid white light which I prefer to the flashing blue and red o the S107G. Because the collective is not spring loaded you can make it hover and set the controls down on a table it still flies. Sometimes I forget to return the collective to zero when I crash. The Cobra has lost reception several times and when it does it falls from the air and crashes. The Cobra appears to "Pop and Click" like a Marine should--no kidding. It can speed around room much faster than the others and turns much more quickly. In fact, the other seems sluggish in comparison and it is easy to "oversteer."
Forth, I also needed to satisfy my curiousity related to S109 (Apache). I have found the S109 is easier than all to fly. It also has two white leds rather than the flashing blue and red of the S107G. The controller is the same as the S107. Overall, I really find it enjoyable to reliably fly around the room with complete and utter control. I think they did this to keep the Army from crashing out of control--just kidding solders!
Bottom line, I give the S109 top rating over the others. I do find the responsivness and speed of the Cobra stimulating and of interest so I rate it second. If I fly with someone else I will choose the Cobra for its speed and responsivenees. In the end, I don't think the metal frame of the S107G will add much value as the rest of the helo is plastic and does break. The cost of replacement parts cannot be justified as a new S107G currently goes for 22$. SYMA S108G 3 CH Infrared Mini Radio Controlled Marine Cobra Helicopter Gyro
I have the S107's (2 of them) also a DH-1(basically a S107 by another manufacturer) They are both very easy to fly, right out of the box, after trimming the S108G, I think it may even be a little easier to fly. The gyro in this heli will hold a straight line. With the 107's they tend to crab a little to one side or the other. The S108G was good right out of the box, but needed a litte fine tuning. That took all of about 20-30 seconds, and flies even better. For the price, this helicopter cannot be beat ($35.00) even if it was more expensive, it would still be worth the price!!!!
The helicopter I bought is the best I've ever had although I haven't had many. It flies perfectly and is very stable. It took a couple of tries to get it down but now it is very easy. Probably the best part about this helicopter is its durability. I have crashed this helicopter countless amounts of times and it is still holding strong! The battery time is about 10 minutes (which is actually pretty good for this size helicopter). It is just about perfect and highly advised!
I'm a helicopter mechanic by trade (prior US Army, worked on AH-64 Apaches), and bought this because many of my coworkers overseas had them to pass the time in the hangar in our downtime. Long story short, this is a fairly accurate replica of an AH-1W SuperCobra, ridiculously easy to fly (for me), is exceptionally durable, and a great value overall. Keep in mind that it is VERY vulnerable to air currents, so avoid fans/AC ducts, and stay indoors. Recharges in about 30-40 mins via USB, with about 7-10 mins flight time. Stable in flight, can fly up/down/fwd/back/left/right, and is a good starter aircraft for R/C novices.
I bought this based on other reviews I read stating that his brand was better than the others. I have only used it once but it was easy enough for a first time RC helicopter buyer like myself. I practiced at first near the floor only allowing it to hover about an inch off the ground. It would drift around more than I liked and I thought I had some settings wrong, the manual is minimal at best, but when I took it a foot or two above the ground it hovered great in one spot. When it started rotating a little to the right I just adjusted the setting knob on the remote and it leveled off great.
When I plugged it up with the included charger into my laptop it was fully charged in about 30 minutes. I can see where I may need spare parts later if I hit it hard into anything. I bounced it fairly hard on our hardwood floor from about 5 feet when I thought I was going too high too fast and nothing broke.
I have only played around with it once last night so take this for what it's worth. But I had fun. ;)
I received this beauty yesterday. The packaging was way to big for it, and so the box got all bashed up in the delivery process. Yet I'm here to tell you nothing happened to the helicopter, and it quickly became one of my favorites. It is super stable, with the gyro you don't even have to mess since it was perfect right out of the box. Since I'm just starting i do recommend this helicopter to any other novice. It is made out of plastic, and can handle some crashes, though I'm beginning to think that the s107 could be a little bit tougher since its frame is made out of metal. In the end they are just toys if you are undecided between s107 and s108 just buy it for the looks they are both for beginners nothing to ponder so much about. Enjoy your helicopters YEAH!!!!! - Cobra - Syma Rc Helicopter - Syma - Mini Helicopter'
