1080p Lcd Hdtv - hdmi, 1080p

This cable works great between my Panasonic DMP-BD35-K Panasonic Blu-ray player and Panasonic HD projector.

In my research I had read that there may be problems when running long HDMI cables. I had also read that the issues depended on the devices connected at the two ends. Previously I was using a component-video cable between the two.

The end result of switching to the HDMI connection is just eye-popping. Upconverted DVD's look almost as good as Blu-ray disks.

The connectors hook up comfortably and snug in the HDMI sockets. The cable also survived some harsh tugging as I pulled it through the wall and ceiling on its way to the projector which is mounted on the ceiling. Link Depot HDMI to HDMI Cable (25 feet)

I was a little bit worried when I bought these HDMI cables. They are 25 feet long and were only like $12 each. I bought 4 of them to run some wires to the TV over the fireplace. I was worried about any sort of quality loss due to the length, but was pleasantly surprised when I got them all hooked up. The blu-ray looks great, just as it did with the shorter 6 foot cable I used to use, and the Xbox 360, and PS3 both look fantastic as well. For the price you can't beat these cables!

I ordered the second cable before I unpacked the first, in whose sheath there were some small punctures. Fortunately, the second cable was free of damage and works fine. (The first cable transmits the signal but little white dots of noise show up in the otherwise good picture.) I contacted the seller about the damaged cable in the first order and got no response, which is why I have to give 2 stars. The one cable that wasn't a dud works fine getting HD signal from my FIOS DVR to my Samsung 1080p TV and also works getting HD signal from my Samsung Blu-ray player to the same TV. The good news is that the price of these cables is so cheap that I can afford to order another one risking it not working instead of buying some fancy cable. By the way, anyone who is shopping around for HDMI cables, just ask an electrical engineer who will tell you that HDMI quality is not important because of the error correction in the signal, etc.

A perfect solution to a small challenge!

We needed a cable to connect a laptop to a living-room flat-screen television. Hmm.

A nationwide office supply chain wanted $29.99 for a 6-foot HDMI-to-HDMI cable and $39.99 for a 12-foot version. Ha!

This is a 25-foot cable, and I could have bought two of them with money left over for what the 12-foot "O.D." version would have cost!

This cable is extremely flexible, which makes it easy to fit around various obstacles. The length doesn't seem to degrade the signal from the laptop to the television. And any of us can sit virtually anywhere in the living room and use the computer while the output displays on the flat-screen.

A spiffy solution to what could have been an expensive alternative.

Recommended without reservation! Buy two or more and stock up!

Went to Best Buy for a Blu-ray player & cable. Of course, they insisted that I need the Monster $200 cable to go 25 feet with Blu-ray. I was skeptical, so came home, with the $200 cable and did my research. Some mixed messages out there, but many say it's not needed. Saw this for $12 and figured, what the heck, I'll give it a try. Works perfectly with blu-ray player over 25 feet. $12 vs. $200 potential mistake.

I used this cable to connect my LG BD-370 Blu-Ray player to my LG 50PS11 plasma TV. I ran it through a wall, into the basement, and back up into my AV closet--quite a few turns with apparently no breakage. I also compared it to the 6ft cable that came with the Blu-Ray player and saw no difference in picture quality. No dropouts, no spots, no pixelization. Seems to work just as well as any other cable, so I've ordered another one.

I've had good luck with Amazon's storefront vendors on other inexpensive HDMI cables at 2 meters. I bought this 25' cable to connect to my new laptop's HDMI port. It immediately disabled my TV's connectivity with remote controls and broadcast a mediocre picture with no sound. At $10 it's not worth sending back. I'll probably eat the loss and buy something a little more upscale. - Hdmi Cables - Hdmi - 1080p - 25 Feet'

Audio Technica - mic, lapel mic

The Audio Technica ATR-3350 Lavalier Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone appears to be a nearly identical replacement lavalier mic from the recently discontinued Audio-Technica ATR-35S Lavalier Microphone.

Reading some blog advice about video podcasting and playing around a bit with making YouTube videos, "sound" in video is usually the part that makes video quality bad. So I was looking for a reasonably price lapel mic to use. The ATR-3350 is quite inexpensive considering that you can easily spend $200 for a professional model lapel mic.

If you read some of the "1" (hate it) reviews from the ATR-35S, they pretty much all related to "low volume issues". You may see some similar reviews here as time goes on. Plugging the ATR-3350 directly into my Dell laptop PC mic in or camera mic in, I also thought the volume is not high enough. However, plugging it into my video camera, it sounded great. Just the right volume. Not too loud or soft.

I went to the support site for ATR and asked my question on volume on my laptop PC mic in. Support on the ATR site was good. I got a quick response back on my question about volume on my laptop. The advice was "Look for MIC Boost in the Advanced Controls for microphone in the Volume Control window of Voice recording under the Voice tab of the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties of Windows to boost the level of a microphone. (Windows XP example given.)".

I'm giving it "5" for the product considering value for the price and the support I got. I'm sure the quality does not get anywhere near professional mics with XLR inputs. Those mics are in a different class. Certainly not in this price range.

Be careful if you have a rolling chair and use this mic near your PC. The cord is thin and probably easy to make the mic "nonfunctional" if you were to roll over the cable with all your weight pinching the thin cord under a wheel. Audio-Technica ATR-3350 Lavalier Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone

Purchased this mic in order to do interviews and video presentations and it has been excellent. Have a professional Shure wireless set up as well, but have found this to be an great alternative when I need to move quickly. It allows me to use my Sony HD handycam with a minimum of additional equipment and allows for a fast set up. Have used the mic for approximately 10 hours and the battery has not yet run out. Be sure to purchase additional button batteries when you purchase this, though. They always run out right when you don't have them on hand. L-45 batteries are really inexpensive. I purchased 50 for under $10 here on Amazon. Would definitely recommend this mic as a primary or backup mic for any prosumer set up where the subject isn't going to be moving around (interviews, training, etc.)

The Audio-Technica ATR-35S lavaliere microphone is a higher than average quality microphone. The benefits of the microphone are that the small microphone can clip onto a shirt, or tie with the provided clip. The battery compartment and on/off switch has an additional clip on it to attach to your belt, or pant waist.

The overall sound quality for the microphone is astounding considering the price, averaging at about $25, often times less. The material used to fabricate the microphone feels sturdy, and that it will last. Overall I'm extremely happy with the quality of the sound, and the microphone itself. The 20 foot cord helps when you are walking around a room, with the recorder set on a table. Granted, just be sure not to walk too far, as to not pull the recorder off the table. However, I do have a few minor complaints.

When I use this microphone with my voice recorder, I always feed the microphone through my shirt, and have my recorder in my pocket. When feeding 20 feet of cord through your shirt, it often times will get tangled, and will feel uncomfortable under your shirt. What I normally do with the extra cord is tie it off with a piece of Velcro. That way, you only have to feed a small bundle of cord through your shirt, rather than 20 feet of loose cord.

The last compliant I have is a major one, and there really isn't anything that can be done to fix it. On the battery compartment, there is no way of knowing how much battery life is left, or if it's even still working. There's only an on and off switch, that's it. Not a red light when it's on or a battery indicator. If you begin recording, you need to be sure you will have enough of a battery life to complete the recording.

There are two options to help with this, but not solve it. Either always start each session with a new battery, or record in short sessions. The battery required are the small flat batteries, used in watches, laser pointers, etc, and are inexpensive. What I recommend is to replace the battery after a day of sessions. The second option is that after each session, listen back, and make sure everything was recorded. When doing this, it's best to record shorter sessions, in case you should happen to lose anything due to the battery dying.

This is a major hassle though having to do this. I would much rather have a battery light indicator and not have to deal with this. Highly recommend that when you are looking for a microphone, either find one that doesn't require batteries, or, one that has a battery indicator. For this product, I give 3 out 5 stars. 3 stars for the sound quality, and taking of 2 for the battery issues.

I have already tested this mic out and it is perfect for my needs. I am using it with my Kodak Zi8. I use it in retail locations and at trade shows and this mic is great! It offers great sound, the long cord is very handy, good battery life and is so small and easy to stow that it just adds to the ease of use. I haven't found anything not to like about this mic. For the buyer who complained about the audio level using his Kodak Zi8... adjust the mic volume level on the settings menu of your camera before you record. Clear sound, long cord, great price. I found this mic through a blog and was happy to give him a hit by using his link. See what he has to say about it too as his test was what originally warmed me up to the idea of purchasing. Car Audio - hd radio, cd player

I just purchased one of these units at a local merchant and so far so good! I just wanted something cheap and simple to upgrade my factory stereo. I wanted bluetooth but there are too many head units that have horrible bluetooth capabilities so I decided to go without (I may add the extra unit later on this one).

This unit is equipped with a 7 band EQ as well as a subwoofer level control, both are MUST haves in my book. So far after one day I am very pleased with the sound quality! Crisp Highs and zero distortion that I can hear. I have been out of the car audio game for about 10 years now so I was clueless going in and for $125 I wasn't expecting much but I must say I am pleasantly suprised! I still have my factory Dodge speakers in and also added a 12" Orion Sub/Amp in the trunk. The menu's can be a bit tricky but after only one day (2 hours) I think I have them down pat. If you're looking for something simple for an up-grade to your existing factory tunes I would definitely recommend this unit. A Kenwood deck with similar features goes for almost $100 more and I can't see that there would be that much of a difference in sound and I'm not looking to enter any sound competitions anytime soon. Bottom line: if you are looking for an upgrade from the factory head unit (junk) installed by the manufacturer..for the price, this head unit is a steal! JVC KD-HDR40 CD Receiver with Built-In HD Radio Tuner, Front AUX Input, and Bluetooth/Satellite Radio add-on capability

This is my first replacement radio experience and I did a lot of research to replace the stereo in my 1998 Subaru Impreza. I wanted something that had HD and a simple AUX input for my iPod. The JVC KD-HDR40 fit perfectly into the dash using the existing factory sleeve. Because it was my first self install, the only thing that took A LOT of time was building the new wire harness. If I had to do it again, I would zip through that process but the first time was a challenge for me. I used a replacement harness that was specifically designed to be spliced between the new stereo and the factory wires and after that part was finished it went in easy. The HD signal locks in very fast with virtually no lag and while the controls are not intuitive, they can be figured out fairly easily. The instructions are not as clear as I would like but I was able to get my favorite stations preset after some trial and error. Then I discovered that the presets can be surfed just by clicking the up and down arrows right next to the fast forward and reverse buttons. Not too bad although it would be nice to have dedicated preset buttons. Not a con BUT the display is super bright at night. Even on the lower setting it drowns out my AC/Heater control lights. I do like the large knob that controls volume and the selections inside the menu but it worries me that the plastic material might snap off over time. Overall, Great sound through the factory speakers, decent controls and HD at a fair price. I recommend!

I have been listening to my crappy old factory Dodge ram 1500 truck stereo system for the past 8 years thinking Oh! it dont sound so bad, (Man was I wrong!) One night I was on the Amazon web site and noticed they had many car receivers for under $100 bucks so I figured what the heck! I will go ahead and purchase one, I did some research / read a few reviews and decided on the JVC KD-HDR40

I purchased the installation kit with wiring harness/antenna adapter custom made my truck for around $22, (this made the install much easier.) I had the old head unit out and the new one hooked up in less than 30 minutes, I also purchased a set of Rockford Fosgte P1S652 Punch 6.5 speakers to replace the old factory paper cone 6 x 9's in the doors and a couple of JBL GTO series 5.25" for the rear.

What a difference! Receiver reception and cd playback is crystal clear and crisp with great mid range bass, Signal reception is much better than factory, I love the 7 band equalizer, Aux/Ipod input, remote control and the built in HD receiver,I cant believe how much better the HD stations sound over the non-HD.

Some reviewers have complained that the KD-HDR series receivers are difficult to program and should have preset station buttons. Personally this hasnt been a major issue with me, within 10 minutes I was able to program my presets and all other settings.

Presets buttons probably would have been nice to have but the remote makes changing between stations a breeze.

All in all the JVC KD-HDR40 is a very solid head unit and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

For this price you can't beat this HD set. Radio tuning works perfectly and mp3 CDs start up quickly unlike some other units. The equalizer presets sound great, I haven't needed to make any custom presets. Not having the typical 6 buttons for station presets hasn't been a problem. You simply use the up and down buttons to move through the radio stations.

Some minor annoyances are that the clock doesn't show when unit is off. Also all settings are lost when the battery is disconnected. And radio stations are displayed only by their call letters not station numbers, but most units out there do this. But all in all this is a nice HD radio. - Cd Player - Ipod - Hd Radio - Car Audio'

I recently moved from a cubicle with lots of desk space to an office that had very little. So I needed to make the most of the flat surfaces I did have. This is a great tool to provide organization to the stacks of paper that would clutter my desk. The baskets and the file holder provides a lot of ways to organize papers and is very adaptible to my changing needs.

It also has a nice clean look and does not stick out as some office organizers do. Seville Classics OFF42565 3-Tier Desk Organizer, Platinum - Desk Set - Deskset - Organizer - Desktop'

Lavatory Faucet

The box was missing the installation instructions for the drain/popup. I could not find the correct instructions on the Price Pfister website (which is abysmal). I called Price Pfister 4 times and never got to speak to anyone. Price Pfister's phone system hung up on me 3 times, the other time there was a 15 minute wait before you might get a chance to talk to someone. I tried to email customer service but you have to "ask a question" and then register for their customer support which ends up opening a case which you might get an answer for your question. After 2 weeks I did receive an email with instructions attached but the instructions did not match the drain/popup so I tried again. Now there are 2 case numbers and one says Solved (which it is NOT), the second says "Waiting on Details" which I added about a week ago and no response.

While the product may have an excellent warranty, if you have any problems the chance of actually getting them resolved are slim and none. I regret having bought a Price Pfister product and will stick to Delta or Kohler in the future.

There are few companies that are this anti-customer oriented. Everything about Price Pfister's website and Customer Service is designed to frustrate the customer until they give up. If someone gave me a Price Pfister product, I would throw it in the trash. I am returning the Price Pfister faucets that I bought.

Before you buy a Price Pfister product, you have to decide whether customer service matters. If it does not then you might be very happy with a Price Pfister product. But for those that value quick, accurate and friendly customer service as much as the product then skip ever buying a Price Pfister product. Pfister 806-DY11 Treviso 3-Hole Roman Tub Faucet, Tuscan Bronze

I haven't really used this much since my house is still under construction so I don't have much time to sit around in a whirlpool. It seems to work fine and the plumber had no prob installing. It's the real deal and fits in with my other fixtures fine.

The company that took this order and delivered it was excellent, getting it to me with excellent service.'

Micro Stereo - microsystem, shelf stereo systems

Sorry, but this is not a good investment. Even at 40 bucks. Poorly designed and speakers are junk. Offer better speakers and adjust price downward, because fidelity is not good. Unit is just too big for what is does. In my view it has questionable electronics. Has a hum when nothing is coming out of it. May be a suspect power transformer...who knows?. It has an input for MP3, but no line out for perhaps better speakers. No headphone jack. Not very versatile. As far as I'm concerned, this is not a true microsystem. Has Limited capability. Pay the extra and get a SONY. Coby CX-CD377 Micro CD Stereo System with AM/FM Tuner with Digital Display and Line-in Input (Black)

I bought this unit as a gift for my Mom because she moved into a tiny apartment. It worked and sounded great for such a small stereo.

It lasted for two years. The cd player will play a song then not have any sound or stop playing altogether. Radio works fine. You would think it would have lasted much longer.

Never had a cd player do that in such a short time. I won't buy the same brand again.

My wife got me this stereo as a birthday gift. It's a the perfect stereo for my shop. How I can listen to music while working at my scroll saw. The sound quality is very good for a stereo of this type, the CDs are easy to load and the radio pulls in even weak stations. I like that I can also use my MP3 player with the unit. I'm sure I'll get many year of enjoyment out of it.

This coby stereo has a really modern, slim look to it. I like how it doesn't take up too much space (although the speakers are a little bulkier than the main box). The sound quality is alright... what do you expect from a system that only costs about $40?? There are two things that I dislike about it. One is that the connection between the speakers and the main box is bare wire. This was annoying because I had to fiddle around with the wire until the sound came through, instead of just plugging it in like normal speakers. While setting it up, the wire actually broke on one connection, so I had to strip it down to get more surface so I could connect the speaker. It works fine now. I also don't like how there is no display showing the current volume level. On the other hand, the remote has a decent range of reception, and the aux port is good for attaching my mp3 player.

Okay... well I went to plug the wires in and the right side has a very loud buzzing noise in the speaker. Plugged in old speakers and it did the same so it wasn't the speaker, just a crap stereo in my oppinion. Mind as well just buy a portable cd-player. And I have to atleast rate this product with one star or I can't post the review but that star shouldn't even be there, it doesnt work!

My new Coby CX-CD377 arrived today, and took only 30 minutes to setup. It's very "smart looking". Most important, I enjoy fife and drum music; and, from the high-pitched fifes to the lowest bass drums, the sound quality is EXCELLENT. I had none of the problems mentioned by other critics. Instead, at under $40, I consider the Coby CX-377 to be a real bargain.

After received what looked like a fairly sleek CD player we got one that was very poorly and cheaply made, with a broken CD player and a remote that could only turn the volume up. It felt like the plastic they make really cheap vending machine toys out of. Avoid this item at all costs... Its not worth the time or effort. It doesn't even have a display screen to show you what track you are on or anything! - Coby - Microsystem - Micro Stereo - Shelf Stereo Systems'

Camera Batteries - digital slr, canon eos

Yes it adds extra weight but balances the camera out nicely with long tele lens. Combine this unit with the Power2000 LP-E6 replacement batteries and you can easily shoot 500+ images without having to recharge. Extra nice option is the AA battery carrier included so you always have a back-up.

Make sure you attach your camera strap to the bottom of the grip instead of leaving it on the right side of the camera. It stays out of your way when attached to the bottom of the grip PLUS it lets the camera hang lens down which is a nice thing. BG%2DE9 Battery Grip for EOS 60D D%2DSLR Camera

I must say, this product is fantastic!! You pay for QUALITY. Very rugged & feels it was built to last!

It does add a bit of weight to it, but for me, it balances the whole camera out especially if you have a huge telephoto lens on there.

After using it for quite a while, you will get used to the weight and just holding makes you feel like the camera is more solid!

It comes with 2 magazines. One of which holds 2 LP-E6 batteries and the other holding 4 AA batteries. Also comes with a little pouch for holding the other magazine while the other is in use!

I'm glad I purchased it. And I hope this review helps you decide!

I love this battery grip. Especially it's made for EOS 60D. It handles nicely - I have medium size hands and no issues. Rubber grip is same material as with the camera body. Good finish matching the body as well - good curves matching the body. Connects tightly with the body with no issues. Button controls are properly placed on the grip. I'm having a great experience with it!

The battery grip appears to be made of the same rubber and plastic as the EOS 60D, so the two pair up very nicely. My kit lens (18-135mm) causes the whole unit to lean forward slightly when sitting on the table. I am sure the stability would vary depending on the weight of your lens.

I seriously considered purchasing a 3rd party battery grip, but I kept coming across so many bad reviews ("doesn't function properly," "smells bad," "rubber is peeling off," etc.)

When I first inserted the batteries into the BG-E9's tray and attached the grip to my 60D, one of the batteries was not recognized. After removing the batteries and reinserting them, the camera recognized both batteries. The extra tray for 6-AA batteries is a nice feature. However, I read that the 6-AA tray is to be used under emergency situations, not on a regular basis. There is even a nice bag for whichever tray you are not currently using.

Supposedly you can get up to 800 shots per battery (when not using "Live View").

You get what you pay for. Canon's stuff isn't cheap, but it works great!

BOOK RECOMMENDATION

For someone new to DSLRs, like me, I would highly recommend David Busch's book David Busch's Canon EOS 60D Guide to Digital SLR Photography, that is if you own a Canon 60D. It has been VERY helpful to me.

I can't stand using a camera without a battery/vertical grip, so when I got the new 60D I decided to order this one. I really like how the 60D was made with the battery/vertical grip in mind. Let me explain: I also have the 40D with the battery grip, but when shooting in vertical mode, the auto focus selector is (in vertical orientation) on the upper left hand side on the back of the camera (positioned there obviously for horizontal shooting format where it has easy access for the right hand thumb) which makes you have to reposition your hand to the top of the camera anyway. The 60D however has it's auto focus point selector around the back dial, which is in close to the thumb in both horizontal and now vertical orientations. Now I can operate the 60Ds basic photo taking functionality in both orientations with equal ease! LOVE IT!

This battery grip may be a little bulky and add some weight to an already heavy camera, but when you can snap a few thousand images without recharging it is worth it, that is if you have the memory cards to keep up.

It fits the canon 60D. The batter door on the body fits nicely into the battery grip for storage. Get plenty of shooting time even with using LCD screen. I have always used battery grip with my DSLRs. Nice for portrait shots although can be too big if you use leave a quick release plate permanently on the bottom. I don't have very small hands either. It helps balance with larger lenses and the weight helps to stabilize the camera and reduce shake. Also the battery magazine is great in case the batteries die for whatever reason and you have no access to a outlet to charge the batteries. Just throw in some AAs and you are ready to go. Helpful when you do a lot of remote landscape photography.

My last grip was a 3rd Party one, and it was obviously not the same quality as Canon. It's worth the extra money for sure, especially if you use it frequently (which I do). It holds two batteries and comes with a little bag that holds a AA battery compartment for emergencies (I've never used it since I always have two spare batteries ready for long shoots and big events).

2 fully charged batteries usually last me a whole day of shooting. I buy cheaper 3rd party batteries and have no issues with them. However, the Canon grip quality is definitely better than the other companies selling them for half the price. - Camera Batteries - Canon Digital Camera - Digital Slr - Canon Eos'

I cancelled the order (due to it NOT arriving on the agreed arrival date) and the company agreed to refund my payment and have the package cancelled, but the phone still arrived. They claim the phone was new and is not compatible with Verizon Wireless (which is why I bought it), but to my surprise the phone came LATE (1 week), was through Verizon Wireless and IS EITHER USED OR REFURBISHED. Also, it says "activation required." The technical details state the phone is not compatible with the carriers and is incorrect.

Also, the phone was not properly wrapped. They placed it inside a cardboard box without any plastic and it happened to arrive through UPS on a day it was pouring down raining!

The company emailed me that they would refund my payment but nothing has been credited to my account as of yet. Please do yourself a favor and read the seller feedback before purchasing through WorldWide Distributors. Also read the discussions (search their name) and you will notice the most recent comments are negative. They should not be allowed to sell on Amazon. Blackberry Tour 9630 Unlocked GSM Phone with 3.2 MP Camera, GPS, and Media Player--U.S. Version (Black, Factory Refurbished)

Ohh I really have to comment on this seller!! Not only I had to wait after I bought the product because it wasnt available, but I also received a defective one! I returned it and I had to wait again 15 days in order to receive and answer, and guess what? No product again. Now its been 1 month and a half since they received the product and I still havent received the refund!!! I always ask for the information, with no good answers whats so ever... I'm really worried about my money!! I hope amazon can help with this!!

I would like to contact the seller of the black berry tour 9630 team, because a device can not use the service blac, not the pin, and know that you can do to fix the problem. because the computer is still under warranty .... I want your answer as soon as possible

The Phone I buyed shows on the indications that it was UNLOCKED, but it wasn't, so I had to pay more for it, becouse I'm in another country and now i can't return it. So please cheack that seller for the rights indications of his products.

Thanks.

I got the phone in good condition. It works great, but the memory card slot doesnt read memory cards. it keeps on saying nothing is in the slot. disappointing considering the fact that the internal phone memory is nothing to write home about. i would return the phone, but unfortunately i am back in nigeria. wouldnt buy from these buyers again. amazon take note of these sellers, so they dont ruin your good name. i shop amazon all the time, wouldnt want to stop now.

I am very disappointed. I ordered this phone from OEM and it said New, now I am having all these problems with the phone to now see they have changed the description of the phone on here to Factory Refurbished. If I knew it was refurbished I would of never ordered it.The receipt even have new. A waste a of money I will never be ordering anything from then again

The phone (BB 9630) that I have received works properly and has no problem. I liked very much to have done business with your because you are serious efficient and effective.

My thanks are extended to AMAZON, OEM Shop and FedEx.

The Blackberry 9630 tour is an excellent mobile phone, qwerty keyboard maneuver in easily get excellent trackball spinner applications, excellent camera with flash and lighting, excellent video recording, image fidelity, I recommend it without regret

Be very careful when purchasing this phone from sellers on Amazon! Even if purchase is fullfilled by Amazon themselves.I bought my 9630 about 2 weeks ago.Funny enough when i bought my phone it was stated as NEW.There was no wording anywhere stating that it was refurbished used or otherwise(even now when i look back at my purchase history description for item does not have the word refurbished in it).The phone i received was obviously refurbished. It had a perfect new looking verizon housing. But when i turned on the phone the Sprint splash screen came up! So obviously the motherboard was programmed originally with Sprint software.Secondly all 9630 originally come equipped with a beautiful black trackball.Mine came with a white one. Also the top cover over the speaker was also partially broken and does not lay down flush with the phone.

So people any tour 9630 you see listed here for 140-155 dollars is most likely refurbished at best if not used.Do not watch the title descriptions because i have noticed they constantly change them putting in the word Refurbished when ready then leaving it out at another, and saying phone is New! BE CAREFULL!!! I think i deseve a refund as item was totally misrepresented.. - Unlocked Blackberry'

Garmin Nuvi 265t - 265t, nuvi 265t

This is a review of my first stand alone GPS unit. I have used iGuidance on my PPC with a bluetooth receiver in the past. The reason I purchased the 265t is for the "integrated FM traffic receiver" with the lifetime subscription. The integrated FM traffic receiver is one of my main gripes because it's not actually integrated into the unit itself. It's integrated into the power cable by an unsightly tumor that runs long about 3 inches along the length of the cable. So if you're in between cars and need the traffic capability, you can't forget the power cable. Other than the power cable, it's a nice simple looking unit.

The screen is clear and visible except for the most extreme angles of glare in which you might need to adjust it just a touch. The screen is very responsive when panning around the screen and even has a fairly accurate mouse pointer function if you want to get to a particular place on the map. The icons are clear and the tracking is smooth. The only improvements I could wish for is if the displaying information was able to be configured. Sometimes I just like to be ignorant of the speed limit and would rather like to know the distance to my destination rather than the ETA without having to keep tapping at the screen. A little arrow pointing north would also be nice.

Compared to my old iBlue receiver and iGuidance software the 265t locks onto satellites eons faster to get you going on the road ASAP. The FM receiver does warn you of upcoming traffic with a little icon in the upper left corner with an expected delay time but I can't comment on it's diverting capabilities yet, even with a recent traffic heavy trip from NY to Toronto. Some areas just don't have the traffic information when you need it which isn't the fault of the unit, but the lack of coverage of the traffic reporting area.

One difference I would like to point out where iGuidance may have better function over this nuvi is that you can detour around specific roads in the route list, whereas detouring with nuvi is perhaps oversimplified. Once you hit detour, you're at the mercy of the unit.

Overall, it's a fun little gps. It's pocketable, functional, not too gimmicky, and has more POI than I imagined. There might be a few more menus you wish you didn't have to go through, but for the most part it's organized and has outstanding search capability. Garmin nüvi 265/265T 3.5-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Traffic

This is my 4th Garmin GPS and I love it! The other writer mentioned the extra "tumor" for about 3 inches. If that bothers you, well I am NOT that anal and it is hardly even obvious. Who cares about the power cable any way? The unit's screen is clear, bright, easy to read. Lot's of improvements. Considered the 265WT but frankly just prefer the smaller screen for walking or riding a bike, just fits in pockets better and still large enough to see easily in an automobile. I agree that the start-up is FAST-FAST. A great improvement over several previous Garmin models. I highly recommend this one!

**I have now used this for a few weeks. The screen is actually brighter and the colors much more vivid than previous models I have owned. Up-to-date locations and the voice is an improvement over prior models as well, much easier to understand street names and names of saved people\locations. For the money-you can't go wrong. When I go to Europe again in the future I am getting the 275 model which is the same as this but has maps for Europe as well. Again, I do prefer the 3.5" vs. the 4.3" screen size. It's very easy to see in the car and so compact for walking, hiking etc. Garmin keeps making improvements and this little unit is a GREAT value, highly-highly recommend it.

***OK, I have used this for months now and it has NEVER gotten me lost, never. Previous models at least got me lost once. I am more than pleased I made the investment in this little puppy. Fast, easy to see (even in bright conditions, better than prior Garmins I had). It's worth the extra bucks to get this vs. others, well worth it and I could not be more pleased now.

I live in San Jose CA and drive in the bay area of San Francisco.

I have had the unit about 2 weeks now.

Any gps unit that you buy today should lock on in seconds, give accurate directions, have a display that is not confusing and have a simple menu navigation system. It does all of these things well except give accurate directions.

My other gps the Tom Tom 130 does everything mentioned above well, but lacks the traffic feature so I will return it. But it always gives very good directions 100% of the time. I just wish it had the traffic capability and I would keep it.

The directions that the Nuvi 265 gives are accurate most of the time, but occasionally gives strange non optimized directions. I don't know if it is because of the traffic component or not. The directions that are not the best only lose about 5-10 minutes at the most.

The unit's philosophy is to have a minimalist view of everything. It only displays what you need to know based on the route you are taking.

My other complaint is that it takes about 5-10 minutes to access the traffic information. There is also no direct way to look at the traffic map. For example if your destination does not involve using the traffic feature, it won't display the traffic map. I wish I could just go to the traffic map directly.

What I like about the traffic is that it does route around problems and it gives warnings about slowdowns ahead, which is nice. So the traffic feature is nice to have and I wouldn't want a unit without it.

So my dilemma is that can I live with less than accurate directions some of the time in exchange for the free traffic that does work well when I am going through an area with traffic jams.

I am also considering the Dash Express and the Navigon 2200T which I may try out.

UPDATE Nov 21 2008

I am upgrading my rating to 4.9 stars

For in depth review see this site.

http://www.gpsmagazine.com/2008/11/garmin_nuvi_265wt_review.php

The reason is that while it gives inaccurate directions some of the time, it is only because I know a more direct route or I know that even though it gives a more direct route, those streets are slower, than a slightly longer way that I know through experience. So you buy a gps for when you DON'T KNOW where your going, not where you do know where your going.

The traffic functionality does pop up right away during rush hour, (within a few minutes). If shows you problems and how far they are away. You can see a traffic map by going through a few screens and unzooming. It also shows a yellow or red colored line next to the road if you are in a traffic jam and when it will end. So overall it works really well. I also read that Navteq traffic (the free FM) works better than MSN paid service according to this site.

http://www.gpsreview.net/traffic/

I read here that Dash is no longer selling new units, although on their site it shows that they do, they cut 50% of their staff and want to focus on selling their traffic software to other companies. See this page and scroll down.

http://www.gpsmagazine.com/

I am getting the Navigon 2200T to try out but consumer reports rates it very low, compared to the 265WT. In fact the only other serious competitor to the 265, on consumer reports, for the price is the Garmin Nuvi 760, its an older model, which costs about the same as the 265, but you have to pay for traffic at $10 a month and it has some other extra features, none of which I would use.

My only real complaint is the non qwerty keyboard, which bugs me. The only reason that they don't have it is to get you to buy the 265WT which does have it. So the trade of might be to get the 265WT just for qwerty keyboard. I also like the fact that you can transfer addresses directly from Mapquest or Google maps through the computer cable, which is nice.

Sure if it was perfect it could have reality view lane selector, 3-D maps, voice recognition, historical traffic info, directions to which side of the street, instant Dash Express like traffic interface, ipod connection, fm to car radio input, better cell phone integration(I don't use this), XM satellite reception and everything else you can think of.

But for now it does have very good traffic options, good directions, very fast response time, nice responsive touch screen, and a very affordable price which is now $40 less than I paid only 2 weeks ago $239.

So someone show me how you can get something better for the price or close to it. - Nuvi 265t - Gps - Garmin Nuvi 265t - 265t'

Hard Case - thunderbolt, htc

I actually ordered this case before my Thunderbolt. I probably would have gotten the black one, but it was sold out (looks like this one is now, too). I was hesitant because I'm not big on really colorful cases/phones and I really like to keep bulk down. When I brought home my TB today, I slapped an SG screen protector on it, and this case, and I couldn't be happier. It's a really nice darkish blue, but what you can't tell is that under light, the case has a sort of pearlescent shine to it, like one of those really fancy car paints. Nothing too over the top, I really like it.

Also the amount of bulk this case adds is quite reasonable. For how big this phone already is, it's not much at all, and I'm sure I'll be glad to deal with the extra bulk the first time I butterfinger it. The Thunderbolt fits very snugly in it, but you won't get any scratches because there is a thin layer of felt where it contacts the phone. Definitely recommended! Seidio Innocase II Surface Case for HTC ThunderBolt (Blue)

I was a bit skeptical about buying a $25 phone case without seeing it in person, but I was pleasantly surprised with this case. The fit and finish are superb. If I didn't know better, I would think that it was included by the manufacturer. The soft-touch material feels great in hand and the blue is a stylishly subtle hue. The phone is a bit bulky on its own, so I worried that the case would accentuate the size, but the difference is hardly noticeable. All in all, this is a high quality case that looks, feels and fits great. Paired with a screen protector, this should be all the protection an average user would ever need.

I've always been a fan of Seidio cases (except for the Seidio cases for my Motorola Droids - they constantly broke). This is by far the best Seidio I've used yet. Love the way it goes on the phone (top & bottom), love the protection, the classy blue color as well. But what I really like is how it makes it easier to find the top power button. I found that without the case, my finger would constantly scroll the top of the phone looking for the slight bump the button provided, which was a pain honestly. With the case on, it has a cut out, which makes it MUCH easier to find the top button. As far as previous reviewers (on the black case) that it adds to much bulk, can't use the kick stand, etc. - that's all bull. Kick stand works just as well, just as easy to get to and hardly adds any bulk at all.

Great Case!

This is a sleek and elegant case in a beautiful midnight blue--how fitting for a "thunderbolt" phone! It may be a bit pricey but is well worth the investment towards protection of a high-end phone. I am pleased with this, my first Seidio case, and would not hesitate to purchase more cases made by this company in the future. I just wish they made a similar case for use with the extended battery for this phone, and the same case in a larger variety of colors.

Important: this case is VERY difficult to remove. I strongly recommend that you practice putting it on and taking it off because sooner or later you will need to swap batteries or remove the battery for whatever reason, etc., and you will definitely need to know the best way for you to take off the case.

This case is sturdy and stylish. I just love it. The only downside is if you want the extended battery for your phone, this case won't work. The biggest plus is the HTC Thunderbolt used to slip out of my hands all the time and with this new case, it never does.

This seems like a great case and it popped right on, but then I decided to try taking it off. The instructions are woefully inadequate and it simply will not come off despite following the instructions, searching the internet for help (and there is no "support" link at the seidio site), and working at it for over an hour now. It simply does not come off.

At first I thought this case was just about perfect. but over time dust gets inside the case and has scratched the paint on the edges of my phone. The phones power button and volume rocker button are also hard to press in because the case it too close and raised around them. To fix this i have carved the plastic case down around the buttons. Now i'm going to get a different case because this one has put lots of scratches in my phone.

Like the other reviews said, this case is great! The color is beautiful and the amount of bulk it adds to the phone really is very minimal. The fit is perfect and it looks really sleek. I have not dropped my phone yet, so I can't review on that, but it does seem sturdy enough that it would protect it. This case only goes around the phone itself and does not provide any screen protection. You will need to buy a screen protector if you want your screen protected.

UPDATE 6/6/11: I still stand by my previous review, however, I recently purchased a screen protector and needed to get the case off my phone in order to apply it. It was very difficult to remove this case. It took me about an hour because I read the instructions, watched several youtube videos and read tips in reviews other people had left. Finally, I read one review that recommended heating the case at the seam for about 5 seconds with a hair dryer and then another that said to wait until you hear a click when squeezing the sides and pressing on the logo. That is what worked for me. Try it at your own risk if nothing else works. Still a great case!! - Case - Thunderbolt - Hard Case - Htc'

Sdhc - 4gb, sd card

In the past, I bought a Transcend 8GB SDHC card for my Canon SD1000 camera. I recently bought the Transcend 16GB SDHC for my new Canon SX20IS. Both cards work very well and I've had no problems with it so far. I wanted to take this opportunity to update my review since my original review was also posted (by Amazon) for the 16GB card. This is because the only difference between these two cards is the different capacity. So, if you're in the market for an affordable high quality SDHC card, this may be the one for you. Sorry, I kind of sounded like a used car salesman right there, didn't I? I assure you that I don't work for Transcend. But, here's why I think this card is awesome:

Pros:

-Affordable!

-Large capacity

-Class 6 read/write speed (which is very fast... but is no longer the fastest class available)

-Lifetime warranty (at least that's what the package says :)

-Transcend is a reputable company that's been making memory products for a very long time. ( I swear to the tech Gods that I don't work for them!) Other reputable and reliable memory card companies include Kingston and PNY. All three of these companies have been making memory chips for many, many years.

Cons:

- I can' really think of any "Cons" about this card. But here's the 2 closest things I can come up with right now: (1) "Class 6" is no longer the fastest speed available and (2) This card does NOT make coffee for you in the morning, do your dishes for you, give you compliments when you're having a bad day, or magically improve your photography skills.

IMPORTANT SPECIAL NOTES ABOUT SDHC MEMORY CARDS:

-SDHC cards are not compatible with most older SD cameras, SD devices, or SD card readers.

-SDHC cards are rated by speed using different "classes". There are currently 4 data transfer speed classes available for SDHC cards. These classes are "class 2, class 4, and class 6, and the new class 10. For example, "Class 2" would have the slowest read/write speed while "Class 6" has the fastest read/write speed. So if you have a device in which speed may play a crucial role, make sure you buy a higher "class" SDHC card. Please note that this SDHC card no longer has the fastest read/write speed available. There is now a new class, called "Class 10". Class 6 has a minimum read/write speed of 6MB/sec... while Class 2 has minimum speed rating of 2MB/sec, and Class 4 is 4MB/sec. Starting to see the pattern?

SO WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "SD CARDS" AND "SDHC CARDS?

SDHC is basically an upgrade to the older SD cards. The reason they upgraded it was to achieve greater data transfer speeds AND capacity than previously possible with normal SD cards... and to do this, they had to redesign the card (which is why it's not compatible with normal SD devices). This was necessary because digital cameras and digital video cameras these days have higher resolutions, which equate to larger file sizes and faster data transfer needs.

Now that many digital cameras also can record HD video, you may consider getting a larger capacity card because video takes much more space than photos. The size of the video varies from camera to camera depending on what resolution and video compression the camera uses. If you plan on taking lots of video (especially HD video), I would consider getting at least a 16GB card. Check your camera specifications to see how many minutes per Gig of memory your camera can capture ...to gauge how big of a memory card you'll want to get to meet your needs.

Special Note on regular SD Cards:

If you primarily take casual photos and don't need a exceptionally fast read/write capable card, you should know that newer cameras that take "SDHC" cards will also work with older normal "SD" cards. These older cards are cheaper than the new SDHC cards, so this may be something to consider. So to sum things up, newer cameras will take SDHC and regular SD cards, but older cameras that use SD cards may not be able to use SDHC cards. This is because newer technology is usually made to be compatible with older technology (the technical term used to describe this is "backwards compatibility") ... but older technology may not have the hardware necessary to run newer tech (technical term used is "obsolete"... just kidding! ;)

I hope I haven't confused everybody by going into this much detail, but I can't help being the nerd that I am. If you are confused, don't hesitate to comment on this post and I will try my best to answer your questions. Also, any feedback is always welcome!

Conclusion: Buy the card if you have a new device that uses SDHC. It rocks! (This message has been approved by the "Duke of New Mexico") Transcend 4 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card TS4GSDHC6E

UPDATE - March 2, 2010: This review was originally written for the 4 GB class 6 SDHC card, but the reviews have been grouped for all class 6 SDHC cards in the 4, 8, 16 and 32 GB sizes. All the cards should perform similarly since they are all class 6 and all made by Transcend. However, I will have to check which cards I have used hands on. I believe I only own the 4GB and 8GB cards. I will update the review further. If you have concerns regarding the 16GB or 32GB sizes, you should seek out the reviews tagged with the product links from those cards.

The Transcend 4GB SDHC CARD (Class 6) is a great card for the price. I was at first a little skeptical about the brand, but I buy way too many memory cards to ignore a good price when I see one. And I'm happy to report that I've experienced decent performance and reliability issues with this card. That's as compared to other cards I own including SanDisk, PNY and Kingston.

As long as your devices are compatible with the SDHC format, this card is a good buy. 4 GB is a nice size though I do prefer 8 GB capacity for high capacity storage.

The class 6 speed is the fastest speed available in mass market SDHC cards. Class 6 guarantees minimum transfer speeds of 6 MBs, but I've gotten speeds up to 20Mbs! That makes this card perfect for storing pictures in RAW image formats.

The Class 6 speed is on par with the Sandisk Extreme III cards that on average are about $15 to $20 more per card. If you don't have an SDHC reader, you may opt to get the package with a reader included to download your pics. If not you can just transfer your pics directly from your camera with your card still inserted. An SDHC card reader can be bought separately if your PC doesn't have a compatible slot.

General SDHC and SD Card Tips

There are a few tips that I've learned the hard way through buying TOO MANY different memory cards.

1. Make sure your device is compatible with the card! Even in regular SD cards, some older electronics aren't compatible with that large of a size (2 GB). In terms of SDHC cards, make sure your camera or other device is SDHC compatible. SDHC is different from regular SD and only newer devices tend to have built-in compatibility

2. Once you install this in your camera or device, you will generally want to format the card with your compatible device's interface. That is because the standard formats for certain devices, particularly Canon, are different from the factory installed format

3. Just like your devices, most computer SD card readers are not compatible with the SDHC format. So use a card reader or download the pictures via USB connection to the camera with the card still installed.

4. For some reason, placing the card in the locked position allows some older laptops to still read it. This is just to be used in a pinch however, and it won't apply to all systems

5. If you did not properly format your card, you may be able to save things to it and then have them "disappear." If this happens to you, make sure you use the software recovery tools BEFORE you try to save anything else to your card. That way, you can retrieve your images without over-writing them.

6. Make sure you know what you are going to use this card for. Once you have set up everything and ensured it's all compatible, you still have to decide on speed. If you are using this for storing RAW images instead of JPEGs or HD video, step up to the faster class 6 speed format if you can afford it.

7. If you are going to pay more for a faster speed, make sure your device can benefit from it. I've read, for example, that Kodak cameras are set to a fixed voltage and cannot go faster than standard speed. So the extra cash spent on Class 4, 5, or 6 is basically wasted.

Conclusion

It's great to have several extra cards on hand just in case. This 4 GB card is a nice performer. If you have a high capacity camera (10 Megapixels or more) and are storing videos or RAW images, the extra cash for the 8GB card is worth it. Or you may want to step up to the larger 16 GB size that is now available.
