Dvd Repair - dvd repair, aleratec

My 2 yr old got ahold of our ENTIRE dvd collection. I think she tried to polish the brick fireplace with all the discs! I tried other cheaper items before trying the Aleratec. Nothing worked before this item. I CANNOT BELIVE how well this works!! Some discs still have small glitches in a few spots - but it's good enough for this family!! Every disc that I've repaired has had just amazing results! The discs still appear kinda scratched. I mean... you couldn't list them in "like new" condition on ebay. But the important part, is that they WORK once again!! I would HIGHLY recomend this to anybody that has a few destructive kids in the household. You just never know when they'll sneak into things and try to destory them! The Aleratec disc repair is INCREDIBLE!!! Aleratec 240131 DVD/CD Disc Repair Plus Kit

I've had a great deal of success with this machine once I learned the art of using it, so I've just bought my second one. Why would I buy a second one, you ask? Because the new machine, with 4 new spin heads and each of the three types of refill kits cost me about $31 after shipping. Individually, each of the refill kits cost about $17 with shipping, so, rather than pay $51 for refills, I'll save $20 and get another machine free!

I bought my machine around May of last year, and since then it's still kickin. I have had no problems with this machine yet, and it seems to be doing just as it says. Some of my cd's that were "beyond the point of no return" were fixed with this interesting device. It even leaves a circular disc pattern on the back of the disc which looks a lot better then those deep scratches. The one drawback is how expensive the refill's are, but if you only use this a few times a year you should be set.

Overall I would have to say to purchase this product.

I purchased this based on many positive recommendations. It worked fairly well, repairing several DVDs that had light scratches and scuff marks. However, I found that moderately deep scratches cannot be repaired with this device. Also, the buffing heads tend to leave circular marks all over the disk, which the polishing heads can't completely remove.

The reason I only give it 2 stars is that it stopped working after less than a year!

I bought this product hoping to fix a minor scratch in a Windows installation CD that was preventing me from installing it. I followed the instructions in the book, and put it through both the buffing and repair cycles. After it was finished, the disc didn't work any better than before, and there were circular marks left on the disc from the process. I tried it again and again as was suggested in the instructions, and it never fixed the disc to workable condition. Afterwards, I tried other CDs to see if my Windows disc merely didn't fall into the "99%" of CDs that this product supposedly fixes, and this machine failed to fix them either. Don't waste your money on this product.

I bought this to repair a stack of about 100 CDs most with significant scratches. I get the best results if I run the scrachted CDs several times in the 'buffing' cycle, which essentially sands a thin layer of plastic from the disk. Then once through the 'repair' process where a layer of protective coating is applied to the disk. This has worked for all the CDs I tried it on (4). The problem is the buffing disks are only good for about 15 cycles. which translates into fixing about 4-6 disks. Then you have to buy the refills at $24. So before buying this kit ask yourself whether your disks are worth $5 each to repair (mine weren't).

The machine also comes with a cleaning kit / solution. In my experience windex / warm water work just a well for dirty CDs. So this does not really add value.

This is a great machine that has saved many discs! I typically use the liquid scratch repair kits, but sometimes they are just not enough. Keep in mind, this is not a 1,000 dollar machine and will not save discs that have very severe grooves. Overall, it has more than paid itself off.

I have used this machine to clean up probably 30 DVDs and Cds and so far it seems to work great. If there are any really deep scratches of course they are coasters but for scuffed and minor scratches and slight skipping it has saved most of the ones I've used it on.

It is excellent, get a scratch on a dvd/cd and it can spoil the entire disk..Odd, you asked today for tonight I had a dvd skip, jump and jerk and when I looked at the disk I could see all the scratches and marks on it, popped it in the machine, put 3 drops of their magic fluid on the dvd repair wheel and let the repair unit run it's course..I am playing the repaired dvd now and it is running without a glitch..I think the Alteratec dvd repair unit is fantastic, sincerely, --Phyllis - Aleratec - Cd Repair - Cd And Dvd Polisher - Dvd Repair'

Shoot Digital Cameras

I was able to get this model a little early, and was excited to try it out in - what better city to test a camera? - Paris. The last Sony snapshot camera I used was on a trip in 2007, and I was so dissatisfied with that camera that I sold it immediately after returning home. I was eager to see if Sony had improved their entry level cameras, especially the picture quality. I shall post some pictures to offer examples up in the product details, but these will be reduced in size for posting.

Photo quality: My initial day out indicated that they have made dramatic improvements in both quality and speed. Photos in daylight were crisp and clear in just about every shot, and any that weren't were only because I was shooting poorly on purpose to test the photos. I was also quite happy with the quality of shots in low light and indoors, which is where I noticed the most improvement over past Sony low-end offerings. There was some blurring in darker situations, of course, but for the most part the software was able to produce images that are well balanced and low grain. The 14 megapixel feature is great - there are many photos I've been able to crop and retain quality, and photos of, say, a stone sarcophagus can be zoomed in upon when viewing images later to see very good detail.

I must also mention that the camera is very good at balancing photos. It almost always produces a picture with an appropriate contrast, and only in the worst cases did the image wash out in an area. For example, a shot of Joan of Arc (the statue, not the person) in Notre Dame came out very well even with a stained glass window in the background. The stained glass was bright but distinguishable, and the detail of the stone statue was clear and well balanced. Only in extreme cases - such as a shot of a black sculpture in the Louvre with a window behind it with blaring sunlight - did the camera fail to balance the image, but these are the kind of bad photography shots one would never expect a camera to take well.

Types of Photos: Like most all snapshot photos, this camera will perform best shooting still subjects with plenty of light. Moving objects didn't tend to blur, a problem I'd had with other cheap snapshot cameras, but the response time can make getting these shots difficult. Trying to capture a motorcycle passing an old church, my 7-10 attempts were mostly good photos, but getting the moving bike in the exact spot I wanted was nearly impossible.

Features: Overall, this camera lacks in features, although for most uses I found it sufficient, and at the price I didn't expect a lot of extras. The 4x zoom is relatively fast and easy to use, and about right for this type of camera. I was surprised there was no optical zoom given the high megapixels, but I can live with cropping on the computer. The panorama mode is nifty but not that useful - it works quite well in creating a long image, which of course will cause distortion in most cases. To use this feature, you set the mode and clich the shutter. The camera will prompt you to move it from left to right, and then it will generate the image (which is always impossible to see on the display owing to its shape.) Here I would have liked some add'l features - there is just 'one size' for panorama shots - you must sweep all the way across or the image will fail. This creates many shots that will need to be messed with on the computer later, which is okay but annoying. I was also disappointed panorama doesn't work in an up and down orientation - you always have to sweep the camera in the same manner. You can, of course, hold it sideways to create a vertical panorama, but I really wanted some vertical shots tqking advantage of a larger width. Still, panoramas of the Tour Eiffel allowed me to create some fun, unique shots of the full height of the structure. There are not many other features - just some rudimentary quality settings, face detection, etc. Some might want to move up to a camera with more features, but I actually appreciated this in a point and shoot camera.

Battery life: Here the camera could use some help. Perhaps I'm spoiled by my Apple products, but digital cameras have more or less remained stuck in 2002 concerning batteries. It's annoying to have a separate charger, and battery life isn't great. Three hours of shooting...granted, constant shooting...at St Denis drained it. Given how light and small it is, I'd fully support doubling the battery size to get twice the life. I'd also love for camera makers to start to move toward USB charging options.

I'd also love it if cameras would start incorporating some onboard space. It feels like the dark ages to have to buy a card. 2 - 4 gig of onboard memory with a card slot for expansion would be nice.

Overall, a great, small, fun camera that's easy to grab and go. I wish Sony would re-imagine some of the ways digital cameras work, perhaps taking some cues from iPods, especially regarding batteries, but for the price this nifty unit is great.

Pros: Excellent pics for camera in this price range, good color balance, good in darker spaces, a few fun features

Cons: Battery life could be better, charging options, not many features or in-camera editing options Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W530 14.1 MP Digital Still Camera with Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 4x Wide-Angle Optical Zoom Lens and 2.7-inch LCD (Black)

The intelligent shooting mode is great--it detects different scene types (landscape, sunny, cloudy, etc.) and auto-adjusts the exposure settings to get the best picture. Picture quality is great. It also has a movie mode that takes nice videos. The mic for the audio is a little weak but it is only a point and shoot camera, so a so-so mic is to be expected. The panorama mode is very easy to use--just point and sweep while holding the shutter--and the camera automatically stitches everything together with no overlap or missed sections. I've used panorama mode at a baseball stadium and at a lake and got great detail in both settings.

The battery life could be a bit better, but it lasts for at least 8 hours of shooting. I was turning the camera off and on a lot, which had a bigger drain on the battery, I'm sure.

I first used a SanDisk 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo with this camera, and the camera would not read the card properly. I even reformatted the memory card with my computer and the camera still would not read the card. I finally purchased a SanDisk SDHC memory card that works fine. Others have had problems too with the SanDisk Memory Stick Pro Duo, so be careful with that.

Pros- Intelligent mode for automatically adjusting the settings; picture quality; movie mode and panorama mode; good quality for the price.

Cons- Rechargeable battery could last a bit longer; Battery is specific Sony battery that can only be charged from a wall outlet with the included charging doc; Mic is a bit weak for audio when shooting movies.'

Cloth Diapering - pool diaper, cloth diapers

I really wanted this to work but the first time my son pooped in it, it totally leaked everywhere! I have the size large and my son is at the end of the weight range so it isn't because it didn't fit. It just doesn't contain anything in it. It is a cute diaper but not functional what so ever. This is a waste of money. Imse Vimse Swim Diaper - Turquoise Dots with Frills Large

I was hopeful... The side snap is nice as is the soft fabric, however it doesn't do the job. I put it on my son to check the fit - it is advertised as 11-17 lbs but the tag says 13-17 - and he conveniently chose that moment to poop. I put him in his bath to test it, and for the first 2 minutes it seemed like a success, but then the poop started to escape little by little. It came out the back, which seems a little low, and as my son is about 12 lbs right now I can't imagine this working any better for a bigger baby. Unfortunate, because I wanted to like this and feel comfortable taking him in the pool with it.

I purchased one of these for swim lessons last spring as disposable swim diapers were not allowed, plus I didn't want to waste money on a pack of disposables. It did great and I loved it! The snaps on the sides were the #1 reason I bought this particular brand...imagine taking off a wet cloth swim diaper, that fits snugly to keep messes contained. She did poop a couple times when she was in the wading pool at home. It will contain the mess...depending on the consistency. If it is a loose stool, the water in the pool will break it apart, therefore allowing some to escape. Like other swim diapers, these are not meant to be leakproof, so it was no surprise you could see some come out. If it is a more solid mess, I imagine it would be better.

I am about to order my second one for my daughter for this year! I love it and have recommended it to others.

We used this diaper all summer and it was perfect. It was much easier to get on and off than the disposable swim diapers. My son is a little skinny guy and it fit him perfectly. I would say that it runs a little small based on the weight recommendation.

We really like this swim diaper. It is so small it fits under a "regular" swimming suit (although I know a lot of people wear it by itself as the suit). The difference between the medium and the large really isn't that much. I do have to say that it hasn't been tested for poop, though. So I do not have any insight on that. Seems snug, but not too tight around legs, so I am guessing it will do fine.

I bought these swim dipes on a recommedation from a friend. I was happy to find something that fit our 6 month old twins (who run on the long and lean side) when disposables wouldn't fit them. We've been really happy with this product overall, but the undies do not absorb/hold in pee. If you are holding your little one when s/he is wearing this diaper and goes potty you will get wet. For us, this wasn't an issue since we were usually at the beach/pool and we could easily rinse off.

To keep them from peeing in their car seats, we left them in disposables and changed them at the pool/beach. This seemed to work.

Poop - even the runny kind - was held in by the diaper well and was easy to clean out of the diaper. We purchased two patterns for our daughter and two for our son, so if they pottied in their pants we could change them into a fresh pair and deal with the collateral damage once we got home.

I can officialy say after this weekend that it does a good job of holding in poop, and its very easy to wash out. However you have to be on top of it. Im sure if he stays in the water with poop in the diaper it will start to breakdown and leak out. But if you catch it right away- no problem. My son is on the lower end of the weight range and it still works great. Love the snaps- helps alot trying to get diaper off.

This is the best thing I've bought this summer, I had a regular pull up one last year but this one has snaps, awesome! And it fits so well it even holds the pee in, I have to take her on the grass and open a leg hole to let it out. Don't waste your money on throw-aways. Also I went to walmart and got a cute bikini top to match the bottom, perfect swim suit! Highly recommended

I am very happy with this product. I have only given four stars because it doesn't actually contain the pee. However, that was not what I was expecting, so I am not disappointed. We ordered this for my 15-month-old son who is still in diapers (mostly cloth at home) and also uses the potty, but is not fully potty-trained. We recently went on a 3-week vacation, and this diaper was used almost daily. It dries quickly and only requires a rinse or quick hand-wash between uses. It fits very nicely on our trim baby and is easy to get on an off our son who likes to stand for all his changes. I will say that if your baby poos in a diaper without any warning to you, you probably want to go with the disposable swim diapers, because this one doesn't contain pee, so I can imagine some blowouts with poo.

I love this swim diaper. The pool we go to makes her wear a regular swim diaper underneath this one, which I wasn't expecting otherwise I wouldn't have purchased it, but I'm still not disappointed. It fits nicely over the swim diaper and she looks super cute. I bought the coordinating Tankini to go with this diaper. She is very small for her age and tiny around he waist, but the diaper seems to fit tightly enough (without being too tight) around her thighs and waist. When I use my parents' pool this summer I will be able to give a better review as to how well the diaper holds in solid contents. I like the snaps on the side as it makes the diaper easier to get off when it's wet. The price is a little high, but you get what you pay for. All around I think this diaper is a good value and would recommend it to anyone. - Finis - Cloth Diapers - Reusable Swim Diaper - Pool Diaper'

Anime Collection - anime dvd, box set

If you are a red blooded male you will like this series. When I bought this set I was a little apprehensive because I had not heard anything about it. However, after the first couple of episodes, which build the storyline, this show starts to really pick up the pace, and it never slows down. If you have enjoyed series like Rurouni Kenshin and Outlaw Star then you'll love this, as it is, in my opinion a combination of the two at least with regard to the themes it has. For fans of shonen anime with epic battles and valuable lessons, the Black Cat box set is a must see. Black Cat: The Complete Series

Every once in a while a series will come along that will capture your attention so much that you will neglect food and sleep in order to devour the series. This is one of those anime's. This was one of those rare animes that I finished the same day I started it. Here is my usual rundown of the series.

Pros:

- The characters (specifically Train, Sven, and Eve) are all likable and bring their own strengths to the team. You will form a connection with each and every one.

- Almost every character in the series are dynamic and show some sort of character development.

- The characters all have minds of their own, even if they are part of an organization, they are not slaves of that organization. They will not blindly follow orders that goes against their beliefs, morals, and in many cases passions. This is a rare thing that separates this series from many others.

- Constantly keeps you guessing as to who the real "bad guys" are. Many time's individuals are just fighting for what they believe in. This makes it difficult to just categorize them as good and bad.

- Plenty of political intrigue with many different organizations including the Sweepers, Chronos, and the Apostles of the Star.

- Very similar and in my eyes surpasses Get Backers seasons 1 and 2

- Absolutely never devoid of intertwining plots and action.

- Cons

- After watching it in one day...I was tired the next

- Although there were a few casualties, many of the main characters were "invincible". This is very common throughout most anime's, but it lowers the suspense slightly.

Without a doubt one of the best series I've ever seen. If you have the funds, GET IT NOW. You will not regret it!

"I'm here to bring you some bad luck."

...he's also here apparently to bring us some awesome entertainment.

I expected the series to be bad. I saw trailers that looked really awful, and things that look cliched... but, I was pleasantly mistaken.

The series is amazing. It has a rich and broad cast of a variety of characters, nods to other animes, such as Trigun, Evangelion, Outlaw Star, Dragon Ball Z, and Ranma 1/2, and though there are alot of typical anime cliches in it, they are all executed to the highest quality.

The main characters do seem to be invincible though, and for some reason, ungodly amazing. Its a common thing in anime, and it does make things a little less believable sometimes, like, why is X person so damn important that this is happening? It also can bring down suspense, but not to the point where you care. I can honestly say, that even though that may be a rather annoying point, I didn't even really notice until I read someones review and thought "oh yeah... that IS true." so yes, its true, but, it doesn't matter too much, if you ask me. It doesn't seem to really HURT the series a great deal.

The story is well thought out and goes together fluidly, not a single string left unwoven, and the ending is amazing, unexpected, and thrilling to the last moment. The series is flawlessly both hilarious, and also heart warming and touching, without any missteps. Though the beginning could have been built up better, its really a minor complaint, in a series that does not stop delivering! I have not a single complaint with the series, except why isn't there more!!!

Pros:

Nods to other clasics, something a true Otaku can appreciate

BEAUTIFUL art, and creative and unique animation style

Great story, leaves nothing out

TONS of rich and interesting characters

Plot twists and turns

Really interesting villain and hero

Funny and fun to watch but also heart warming and beautiful

Cons:

beginning could have been done better, but, that's really minor

Main characters on "God Mode" so to speak.

I wish it didn't end! its so good!

Seriously its amazing! buy it, watch it, you wont be disappointed!

Black Cat is just plan WOW! It's just fun, very fast pace, never a dull second! The animation is breath taking I loved it! The charathers are funny and likeable and Creed whoa hehe he can give people chills.

The Dub cast Funimation put together was amazing. Thanks Black Cat for making me just Love Anime more and more! ^_^

I got to say it was a great series, plot, art, voice acting just awesome, no real extras, but alittle to fast on the episodes ploting.Funimation does it again by picking another great series and great actors for the series. It is great don't get me wrong but the series ended to fast for me. I think they could of done at least 4-8 more episodes for the right closure of the series. But that's how most of the anime is now and then, they just get a short time to make the series. So I'm not to mad about it. This is a awesome series and anime and the manga is great too.

Well when you watch the first episodes you just get hooked it was just man I couldn't stop watchng it. I just got this series a week ago and watched the whole series in one day. On my only day off man. I couldn't stop watching it. I didn't even go shoot pool and drink with my friends like I do on my day off. Man was they mad dude. :P.

Anyways Train is not like Samurai X ok. If Everybody wanted to say someone was copying someone. Everyone has a idea of

1) A girl and guy meets, boy and girl don't like each other, later boy and girl slowly fall in love.

2) Boy and girl long time friends and find out they was in love.

3) Boy and girl meet and girl falls in love with boy, Boy doesn't like girl but later realize he loves her more than he know.

4) Boy and girl fall in love and have to fight to stay together.

5) Boy and girl fall in love, girl dies or boy dies, then wants revenge or saver on one self.

Ok you get it now right. Many series have the idea but the ploting of how and what happens in the time of all this is what makes it great. I was glad to see Saya for a short time in the series. It was sad to see what happened to her. But understand this is not like samurai X just because it go's a different way of the idea. She is always with him in his mind and heart so you start to feel the pain more with him through out the series. It makes you understand truely what was happening to him and how he felt, even if he never said anything you can tell. As well the idea of what she did in the time she was with him. Even after she is gone. It is alittle sad only on that. Nothing else really is sad in this series to me. I fell in love with everyone in this series and it was sad to see it end. I'm glad to see the anime of a manga set which is not yet complete to come alive. So check it out and it's not Kenshin dude, you just don't know what your talking about dude. Train weird name but he is so kwel man alot of the characters was so kwel, but he was just the best man. I like the name Black Cat too. ;p later

THIS IS WELL WORTH TO WATCH AND THE MONEY, BUT I WOULD BUY IT SOME WHERE ELSE TO. SORRY AMAZON BUT I DO BUY MANGA FROM YOU. ;P - Anime Collection - Box Set - Anime Dvd - Funimation Entertainment'

Vanity Fair - vanity fair, satin

Have it... Love it... and Recommend it... This slip has the comfort I was looking for and the quality is great!! Fabric has a bit of a stretch which adds to the comfort that I like very much. The tiny lace at the hemline is very classic for everyday wear... It also comes in many lengths for different dress lengths so I could get the matching one in the longer length as well... I have other products from the Gemsli brand and I like their stuff very much. They make lasting quality lingerie. All in all I find this the perfect half slip I ever owned. Gemsli Classica, Nylon Half Slip with Tiny Lace, Cling Free HK300-Small-28 Inches White

I ordered this slip in various colours and lengths. As a plus size woman, buying shorter slips has been difficult. These slips feel good, appear to be well made and are even somewhat sexy. I highly recommend them, My only negative comment is that they are a cut a tad small.

Gemsli Classica, Nylon Half Slip with Tiny Lace, Cling Free # HK300

The Amazon Intimate Apparel Shop has minimal availability of their product line, especially slips and half-slips. My Google and Yahoo searches for a "half slip 20 inches black" placed this web site as the number one selection. However, the only available sizes were XL, 2X Plus, and 3X Plus. They DO NOT accept back orders.

Fridge Filter - water filter, refrigerator water filters

On this site it says they are tested for ANSI/NSF 42 AND 53, however, when I received the filters, the box only claims tested for standard 42. This is important because standard 53 is for the reduction of Lead, Mercury, Benzene, p-Dichlorobenzene,Toxaphene and Carbofuran. You might not have these elements in your water, but you should know what you're paying for! Water Sentinel WSW-1 Replacement Fridge Filter, 3-Pack

I have a WSW-1 and the end blew off and started shooting water out the front of the refrigerator and all over the floor. Fortunately we were in the next room when it happened. If we had been away it could have caused thousands of dollars of water damage. In the future I will spend a little more money and get the Kenmore brand filters.

I will reserve judgment on this filter for a few months. I was disappointed by a couple of things. It is NOT "NSF" rated. Also, there is a petroleum jelly-type lubricant that must be smeared around the ill fitting o-rings to ensure a leak-free seal. Hullo ???? I never had to do anything like this with a "name brand" water filter. If this thing leaks, I will be most upset. Will keep an eye on it for a while.

In the future I am likely to go back to the name brands.

I sent the following message to Water Sentinel on 11/30/10 and have not received a response as of 12/16/10. Will sell my "inventory" at a steep discount! :)

The other afternoon the water filter in my KitchenAid refrigerator blew up for no apparent reason. See attached photo. Fortunately I was nearby and able to shut off the water quickly and avoid any major damage, but if I was at work and it pumped water into my house for even a few hours, or traveling for two weeks at a time it could have easily done tens of thousands of damage to my home. I now have four filters left from a six-pack that was purchased recently. Are these filters any good, or should they be tossed and replaced with something of better quality? What suggestions do you have for avoiding this problem in the future, or do we have to shut off the water every time we leave the house?

This filter is not a direct replacement for the Whirlpool filter. It is not NSF rated, and has only one filtration element, not the three in the factory filter. They should have made this clear that it was not a replacement, but a less-effective substitute. Perhaps I should have realized this given the price was much less than a true replacement.

This item is made by Water Sentinel. But, if you search "Whirlpool 4396508", the result you get is shown as "3 Pack Whirlpool 4396508 Replacement Filter by Water Sentinel by Whirlpool". The extension of "BY WHIRLPOOL" drops only when you click that link and get to the page of product. And there, it shows a picture of Whirlpool filter, NOT a WATER SENTINEL filter.

I have ordered these filters many times and have had no problems with the Water Sense brand. We have not noticed any difference in taste, filtration or duration. If the filter is not installed correctly (1/4 turn ONLY) the pressure will push (explode?) the filter out and water will run out. - 4396508 - Refrigerator Water Filters - Water Filter - Whirlpool Water Filter'

Hdmi Cables - hdmi cables, blueproton

This HDMI cable is 3D ready and is ideal for use with newer 3D TVs, AV receivers, and other "HDMI Version 1.4" devices. Acoustic Research is a brand name of Audiovox, BTW. The first thing I noticed was that these cables are kinda good lookin' because you can see the cables through the clear plastic packaging. The second thing I noticed was how difficult it was to open the plastic package to remove the cable. The third thing I noticed was the plastic package doesn't have the recycle logo anywhere on it, so the empties are headed to the landfill instead of the recycle bin - much to my dismay. I've had similar experiences with other customer electronics products, but I really wish that companies would package their products in a more environmentally friendly way and secure them without the enduser having to breakout a box cutter or tin snips and all the inconvenience & risk of personal injury to remove the item from the package. Now for the good stuff -

There are two things I noticed after the fact that I find worth mentioning. This particular item is P/N: PR384. Its part of the Acoustic Research's PRO 3 family of HDMI cables. The front of the package has a lot of specifications...good information, but it blends audio, video and computer specifications together. For example, the HDMI cable supports communication rates of up to 17.8 Gbps, 48 bit color depth, 2160p resolution, its 3D ready and supports up to 600Hz tv refresh rates.

This particular cable is a 3' length. I also bought a couple of 6' cables to accommodate devices that were further away from my receiver in my tv stand. The part number for the 6' is PR385. Its essentially the same PRO 3 family of cable - its just a longer cable - or so I thought. When I compared the packages for the 3' cable and the 6' cable side by side, I realized the max rated refresh rate on the 6' cable was only 240Hz...its a great refresh rate, although my Plasma tv has a 600Hz subfield. I suppose it may not matter since most devices don't require that kind of refresh rate, but still I found it odd. Without getting too techie, I think the longer the cable is, the more the signal will degrade when it travels through it. I just would think 6' or less shouldn't matter that much.

The second thing I noticed was the Future Connectivity Guarantee that's on the back of the package. Basically, its says that if your future purchased HDMI-capable devices surpass the performance of the PRO 3 HDMI cable, Acoustic Research will upgrade the cable for free. It sounds like an interesting idea, but I'm not sure how relevant it is. Just in the past 20 years, we went from composite video to S-video and component video to DVI and now HDMI. Most likely in the future we will outgrow HDMI and it will be replaced by a new standard that will be implemented in next gen devices, so this guarantee may be a moot point. But then again, you never can tell.

Aside from that, I think you'll find these are great cables...they are reasonably priced cables compared to alternative "high end" HDMI cables like the Monster cable M series HDMI cables or the audioquest "chocolate" or cinnamon cables. The bottom line, these Acoustic Research 3D ready HDMI cables are well constructed, high performance cables with a lifetime warranty. Acoustic Research PRO3 Series PR384 HDMI Cable (3 feet)

Good cable, works like a charm. However, don't understand what 600Hz means on the front of package. My Panasonic G25 is 600Hz Subfield refresh rate, but how does that work with this cable. The refresh rate is inside the TV, not via cable box from what I understand since I'm not electronic geek. Any suggestions Audio Research? Good cable though and would buy this anytime. - Hdmi Cables - Blueproton'

Strapless Slip - control slip, strapless slip

I tried on several body slimmers to go under my wedding dress. Most were snug at the top digging in to my stomach. This Bali slimmer has a nice thickness to it that doesn't cause it to be to tight at the top. You can not see where the slimmer ends under your clothing. It was also cost much less than all the others which was an added bonus! Bali Women's Bali Powershape Pretty Half Slip,Nude,Medium - Control Slip - Strapless Slip'

Power Tool Accessories - nail gun, grizzly h7665

[UPDATE 7-31-09: Well over a year now and going strong. Some chipped paint and a couple of dents in the magazine but still functions flawlessly. This nail gun is a great bargin!]

[UPDATE 8-8-08: This gun has been a great buy! Have had no problems and the gun works great. Only $99!!!]

This is a terrific value. Grizzly tools are well made and while not very fancy, you will find they do the job quite nicely.

The specs state that the gun handles nails up to 3.5". So far I haven't used any of the longer nails but with 2 5/8" (.113) and 3" (.120) nails it works very very well. (Hitachi plastic collated 2 5/8" .113 ring shank nails fit nicely.) Most 3.5" nails are .131 in diameter and I have not tried those. A prior reviewer states to use .113 nails only, but 120's work OK in my gun. The magazine states it will accept up to .131's but the instruction book states to use .113's. (I will contact Grizzly tech support for clarification and update this post.)

[UPDATE: In my previous post I stated that I was going to contact Grizzly for some clarification on usable nail sizes. Here is their response:

"We appreciate you contacting us regarding the H7665 21º Round Head Framing Nailer. The H7665 will accept from .113" to .131" nails. The diameter is based on the length. The typical 3 ¼" to 3 ½" nails are .131" in diameter. You should be ok using this size providing it is a brand you have used in the nailer previously with no issues."

So today I tried some 3 1/4" .131 nails. They worked fine. They did not drop in the magazine as easy at the .113's but they fit and did not jam. At 100 psi the gun set the heads flush every time. All this from a $99 nail gun. If I didn't own one I wouldn't believe it. But it's true.]

While I wouldn't use .113 or .120 diameter nails for heavy framing applications, this gun with the 2 5/8" .113 ring shank nails is great for floors, cabinets, windows, doors, and light framing. It doesn't seem to matter whether the nails are linked with wire, plastic, or paper. They all fire equally well. The depth adjustment requires an Allen wrench to adjust but is not difficult. The gun is single fire only. Which is actually a good idea in a gun this powerful. It may not be as fun, but single fire is safer. The gun is relatively light weight. The grip is not contoured but is very comfortable. Very efficient air use so your compressor won't work any harder than necessary. (Check out the Makita MAC700 for a really great compressor value.) The gun will not dry fire. The exhaust can be directed in any direction. Nails are easy to load with one hand, (a very important consideration). Set for 90 to 100 PSI and the depth adjustment closed up a bit, this gun will set plastic collated ring shank nails completely flush or slightly countersunk all day long. No jams. No misfires. Even the last nail in the stick goes in every time. And since it shoots full head nails you won't need to worry about violating building codes with clipped head sticks. The case is pretty good. The oil bottle is cheap, but has a enough oil to get you started. The users manual is fairly good and covers all the basics. It even describes how to replace the piston seal when the time comes.

Just a good basic nail gun. No fancy paint or decals. No contoured grip. I have several Grizzly guns and they all work very well, at half the price of prettier brands. So if you don't absolutely have to have fancy paint or decals, this is a great general purpose nailer. I highly recommend this gun. I believe it will serve you well for many years. Grizzly H7665 21° Round Head Framing Nailer

I am the Safety Manager for my company, and we bought this nailgun to replace a PorterCable that we had for a few years, 3 or 4,. We recieved this nailgun and their nails. The nailgun sparks every time it fires a nail, sometimes it does not fire a nail, and other times it fires 2 nails. We used this nailgun for 2 days, on the second day, it missfired and shot out two nails. One went into the intended 2 X 4, the other went into the left hand middle finger of the man that was using it. After investigating the incident, he was not miss using the gun, the nailgun just simply shot 2 nails. So, if you buy this gun, PLEASE be extreamly cautious with it.

OK I bought this gun to build a deck, worked great.

As for the .131 issue, yes the owner's manual says use .113 nails, but it DOESN'T say only .113.

On the side of the magazine it is printed 2.8 mm - 3.3mm. Well 2.8mm is .113 and 3.3mm is .131.

I used both Grip Rite 3-1/4 x .131 coated nails and DuoFast 3-1/4 x .131 HD Galv nails and both worked great.

The Grip Rite nails would fall right into the magazine, but the DuoFast had to have a slight push to get in and then they slid down the magazine fine. The amount of push was maybe 1-2oz. of thumb pressure so it was no big deal.

I would reccommed this gun to any homwowner/handyman that has occassional need of a framing nailer. For the professional he/she might want the Bostitch model that does both framing and joist nails.

Bill

I'm not sure about some of the other buyers of this product or what they may be doing wrong, but I for one, think this is a great nailer. I bought it to use on a 9'x40' deck and an enclosed porch I'm building. I'm using Hitachi nails I've bought at Lowe's and I have not had ANY problems with any of them from the 2 3/8" .113's up to the 3" .120's. They are a little tight getting them into the slot, but that is due to the plastic holding the nails together. After they are in, they go down the slide easily and I haven't had any bind up yet.

I'm using a 1HP, 3gal, Craftsman Portable Hotdog compressor that delivers 2.4 SCFM at 90 psi. It has more than enough power for this nailer. If you keep good even pressure on the nailer you will not have any problems sinking the nails and I'm shooting into pressure treated lumber. My wife has even had fun using it and wanted to know why we didn't get one of these nail guns sooner.

If you are looking for something to speed up your weekend projects, trim down that "Honey-Do" list or even help your kids with some of their projects, THIS IS A MUST HAVE, JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT COMPRESSOR, A GOOD AIR HOSE, NOT ONE OF THOSE CHEAP CURLY ONES. - Grizzly H7665 - Grizzly - Air Tools - Nail Gun'
