The title of this product is misleading. This does not work with the latest firmware from Apple for the IPod Touch. You need an "authentic", Apple approved, cable that has a chip to identify it as such. This cable will not work. Of course the seller does not just come out and say that here...the title clearly states it will work with the Touch, but beware...it doesn't. i apologize for my negativity, but this product sucks!! it says nowhere in the description that it does not work with the ipod 6th gen classic!! i tried every which way to get this product to work, but no dice. the display continued to say "connect video accessory".



while searching for a solution to my problem online, I finally realized that THE ONLY CABLE THAT WILL WORK IS: Apple Composite AV Cable - MB129LL/A!! (THIS IS DUE TO A SPECIAL CHIP IN BOTH THE IPOD AND THE CABLE)



IF YOU HAVE A NEWER 6th gen IPOD CLASSIC, STEER CLEAR OF GENERIC CABLES!!

THIS CABLE MAY BE MORE EXPENSIVE (in my opinion, a lot more), BUT IT IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WORKS!!!!



I also agree with other online bloggers who state that apple is being "selfish". This is unfair; name brand products will always cost more than generic ones. Apple is just looking for more money to add to its already successful company.

This A/V cable works GREAT w/ my 3rd Gen iPod Nano. Now I can watch downloaded movies or television shows from iTunes in near DVD quality on my non HD T.V. Since I buy blu-ray DVDs I can only watch them on a blu-ray player. But, because recently more of the blu-ray movies (ie. "The Dark Knight", "Prince Caspian", "Journey to the Center of the Earth"), are coming with digital copies of the movies, I can transfer the movie from iTunes to my ipod and then plug in this A/V cord and watch it ANYWHERE there is a T.V. with A/V inputs. For under $20, this cord is a fantastic addition for my iPod.

This product worked exactly as promised, and very simply when I used it on my iPhone running software version 1. I tried it on another first gen iPhone running software v 2, and found that it didn't work so well. I gave the high review based on the experience with my iPhone. This is just a warning in case you're using a 1st gen iPhone with the latest software to consider your iPhone a 2nd gen for this accessory.

This wire is awesome...it works perfect on my 3rd gen nano,if you want great sound and video quality for your ipod nano 3rd gen than you should definately get this.The package was also packaged very well,so dont worry about packaging.

OK. So I ordered this cable out of hope that it would work for my Ipod Classic. Which it does. But. Yes there is a But. But on some videos, only some, does it say to connect pod accessory. I played a music video which I got from the Music Store and it worked like a charm. I have many videos on my Ipod, 24 GB of video and counting. I do want to say that I can play a rented video from the music store.



Also! For all those YOUTUBE users....

You can copy the url of a video and go to http://keepvid.com/ and enter it in the url bar and can download that video by selecting the mp4 format or just the second download option. Then under file, add file to library. You locate the download and add it to your library. The videos come out like they do on youtube. They are good enough for me to watch them on my ipod, but for the tv it matters.

This product does not work with the iPod Touch 2nd generation or the iPhone 3G. Never in the description did it say that. As soon as I plugged it into my iPod Touch, a message came up that said "This product is not supported by iPod Touch", although in the title it clearly says that it does.

I normally am not in the market for a mouse pad, I mean how often do you need to replace those? However, when I did have to replace mine I made sure I did my research so I would have a quality mouse pad that would last just as long as my last one. The first thing that caught my eye was obviously the design, fun yet not too much for the office, a bit of my personality to brighten up my desk.

Couple of major talking points...

1. it's not too bulky and blends nicely with the desk

2. it makes any mouse I use on it roll like a dream - I have had to replace quite a few mice lately. Along that note it was so great I also bought one for my home use as well!

3. spill resistant...Thank God.

4. Great quality for the price.

The accuracy of your mouse is especially vital when drawing. Although not a common practice with most computer work, drawing is a major component of CAD work. While the average user willappreciate and notice the quick smooth response of the mouse too.The CAD or Drawing user will wonder how he/she lived without this kind of surface for mousing. The surface is a kind of ^^^^^ roughened but textured plastic surface that is easily cleaned and resists water, coffee or soda spills perfectly. The idea is that dust particles that cause your mouse to slip are trapped in the pits of the mousing surfaceand the ball of the mouse stays clean and in contact with the points of the surface. This causes the ball of the mouse to move absolutely when the mouse is moved. The first impression is WOW. It actually feels better than any mouse feels. Your mouse will feel like a new better mouse. I've not noticed anything but a good feel from this surface. When trying to move the mouse just a bit, this surface allows me to control the movement of the cursor 'just right'. I like that. It's for sure a better mouse pad. By a long shot. that is easily cleaned

A friend of mine gave me one of these when I went to the U of MN many years ago (circa 1997), and I've been using it heavily ever since. It's only now, after 14 years, showing signs of discoloration and wear at the edges and I'm glad to see I can replace it; for some stupid reason I always assumed it was a short-run product available only in Minnesota back in the days of ball mice. It's washable, and people may be struck by its thin and floppy shape, after using one the spongy surfaces of cheap mousepads (which resist mouse gliding) and the overslick, harder new optical pads have never felt right to me.



I don't know if they've changed the surface in all this time, but mine has a great frictioned surface that enhanced precision on ball mice, has continued to work peerlessly with optical mice, and now just great with a laser mouse.



Now that I see 3M still makes them, I'm considering one with a wrist rest, but washability is what has made the first one last so long so I may just do what I did with the old one: use it laid on top of a separately purchased wrist-rest/crappy mouse pad combo.



edit: I ended up buying this item, and I find it is larger than my old one (a good thing) but otherwise identically great, and my honorable old mouse pad could finally be laid to rest.

I have purchased four of these. One for each laptop, one for work, and one for the desktop.



For the laptops - they are easy to put in a sleeve or a laptop bag with out adding any bulk (they are about as thick as cardstock).



I also love them as a mousing surface for when I using my laptop on the coach. It prevents wear on the surface of the couch, provides a lint free surface for the mouse, and improves tracking.



For the desktops I appreciate the low profile, the surface provides excellent precise tracking.



I also just love the color.

This is a good mousepad for the price, but be warned-- it slides around a bit. It is very thin and stylish as well as being great for moving the mouse around. So the only complaint is that it moves with the mouse sometimes.

The 3M Mousing Surface is great! It is roughly the thickness of a mid-weight cardstock. No more cordless mouse sliding off the edge of the much thicker mouse pad which I previously used. It has a very subtle texture to it-like extremely small grooves tightly packed within the surface. I chose the purple sandpainting design-looks exactly like the pic on Amazon website. Received it quickly, as usual, from Amazon. Very happy with the product and Amazon!

I have been using this mouse pad since it came out years ago. It provides great feedback and accuracy for graphics with the mouse. Its very thin and can be easily trimmed to fit a workspace. The only issue I have is that they warp over time, the edges start to curl even with double sticky under them. But that's after several years of hard use. Just so long as I can keep getting them its not an issue. Great product.

I wasn't expecting the pad to be so thin. It is like a thin piece of plastic with a special surface. It is not the foam pads you are used to getting. At first I was a little disappointed, but after using it I think it will be fine. I am using it for my laptop so I plan on packing it around. This will be ideal.

Be advised: this is a small, very thin (flimsy even), plastic-y "mousepad". Best for travel as it fits nicely in a laptop bag/backpack. I do however like the marbled, purple design, hence the 3 star review.'

Late Night - sims 3, pc game

This is a decent expansion pack for The Sims 3. The town is great and reminds me of living in a 3D Sim City. The clubs are fun to go to but my only complaint is they are always empty! It is not very fun to go out as no one in the town is really ever at. Maybe 1 or 2 Sims will be in a HUGE club. Not like the commercials at all in this respect. I am happy you can now go inside the building facades, unlike the first Sims 3 game.

Being a celebrity has been fun as other Sims will come up to you and take pictures and ask for autographs. And the paparazzi follow you around.

I haven't started a band yet but that is what I want to do next.

I have noticed a few glitches as Sims will walk in slow motion while everyone else is normal or get stuck in the elevator for hours.

I think what late night has to offer is great if you want to play the celebrity life in the new town. If you don't think playing a celebrity is what you would enjoy, the extra household items and outfits alone are worth the money you would spend to purchase this expansion.

I really like this expansion pack, it adds late night activities as well as "celebrity" status. I like the celebrity status more than the late night part, the late night doesn't last that late, and all they do is dance around. It is more fun doing things for celebrity points, as I like a few goals to drive my game. I like the addition of a more city like town, with condo's and apartments.

I was plesantly surprised once I started to really get into this. And since I've had the chance to play it for several days now, I can honestly say this has been the best EP EA has put out for the Sims 3. The fun factor is a win for me. I love the added objects, the super star aspects and above all else, vampires! And luckily they have a little bit more free roam to them than the vampires did in The Sims 2. Instead of one type of bite, you have two. They also have two different forms of getting blood other than biting a Sim. Don't wanna give away a whole lot but trust me when I say, if you enjoyed The Sims 2 Night Life, you'll love Late Night for the Sims 3

Adds a new neighborhood, introduces vampires and celebrity status, you can play and master 3 additional music instruments (piano, bass, drums), form a band with up to 4 Sims and perform in bars/clubs/pubs, learn a "mixology" ability that lets you create drinks (all juices, no alcohol ;-), or tend a bar. There are 9 different bars/clubs/pubs where Sims can hang out. New metals, insects/butterflies, and gem stones are there as well. A new career in the Movie business is offered. You can now have elevetors in buildings, the only downside is that in public buildings, elevators get sometimes stuck, and Sims are either trapped in the building, or can't ever get inside again.



The notorious error 12 when saving is still in existence!



Vampires don't just die at first sight of daylight, but ca. survive between 7 AM and 6 PM for 3 hours max. Even after that, they are vulnerable for 48 hours, but don't die if you take care of them - very different from the Sims 2 where they would just die after too much sun exposure.

Some gem stones are under ground, and you can't get to them.



In order to experience most new features, you will have to play the newly added neighborhood, the original one is not modified/adjusted by the game (although you can do that rather easily yourself).

This product works perfectly, the price was good, and purchasing it via download from Amazon was very convenient. The only negative comment I could make is that the download took about two hours, but that can't really be helped. Very Satisfied!!

Well I love the Sims games, and I hate waiting. I figured I would just download the Amazon product, knowing that Amazon is fairly loyal. Although this time it just aggravated me. I would download the product, and then it would deny me because I had to update the base game. So I did, and then I had to download the product all over again because apparantly the geniuses at Amazon didn't feel the need to save the freaking file to your computer until after it all ends smoothly... If Amazon had a way to access the program after a download rather then redownloading it this would be fine. Yeah im done with Amazon for a little while... This was enough to make me stop.



The gameplay however is fun and solid. I love the furniture, the unique apartments and the city.

The download and install process took less than an hour. I have Verizon Fios, on a toshiba satellite L505 laptop. I was pretty surprised at how fast it took to complete. This expansion pack will be worth the wait, however long it takes you. If you're like me and you are a big fan of The Sims, you will enjoy this expansion pack. Out of all of the expansion packs, I would say Late Night is my favorite. That might change with the release of the sims 3 pets. The cool thing about this EP is that you can become a vampire, or simply befriend or romanticize one. Just like in the sims 2, you can now become the cold one! I also really like the new town, a lot better than the standard towns in the base game. And who doesn't like the celebrity lifestyle?

I've been playing The Sims ever since it came out and was hesitant about Sims 3 when it came out. It is actually a lot of fun and this expansion is fun too. Has many of the same things Hot Date had plus lots more. I purchased this as digital download which was cheaper and more convenient than an actual store.

This definitely isn't my favorite Sims 3 expansion pack, but it still has a lot of great add-ons. I love the clubs and bars that come with the new neighborhood, but it's so easy to earn celebrity stars that it's not even fun to try to make your Sim famous. My highschooler will only use mechanical pencils. In this day and age teachers don't usually like students to sharpen pencils during class anyway. There a variety of colors. The grips are comfortable. She hasn't complained about the lead breaking like she usually does with mechanical pencils. The plastic seemed a little thin or flimsy to me but she hasn't said anything about them breaking and she is hard on her supplies. She seems very satisfied with them. I would buy them again. I have had my previous P4 for quite a while. I had overclocked it and took it for all it was worth and have been waiting for the right time to buy a new PC. Well, after many years of good use, the P4 forced my hands last week when the southbridge fan gave way and the board stopped functioning. After having to work through a bunch of glitches with it for the last six months, I knew it was time for me to build a new system.



When I get ready to build a new system, I spend tons of hours researching everything. I specifically focus on quality. I know that I am more satisfied with the Intel line than the AMD line (I built both). I spent a lot of time looking at the 800 series, 900 series, and 900 extreme series i7 processors to make sure I know the value of each chip. It will always be a question of quality and speed versus dollars and everyones value point is different.



I had a choice here. I could have gotten an i7 920 (or even the i7 860 with an even cheaper motherboard), some good but cheap memory, add a nice 1.5TB hard drive and have a definite upgrade from what I have now and cost me half as much for my system. I would have been happy with it and love the increase in performance. But one thing I have learned is that if I am willing to spend a little extra, I will be satisfied a lot longer. The price I paid here on Amazon is the same as for the 950, although almost twice as much than the 920. With free shipping, and no sales tax, I really get a better value for this chip here than anywhere else. The speed tests show that the performance of the 960, especially when paired with good memory and an extremely fast hard drive, far outperforms the 920 so that the money difference can be justified. I know a lot of enthusiast are set on buying the 920 and then just overclocking it, but the 960 can be overclocked easily to 4.1 Ghz and can get to speeds the 920 only dreams of having (I am not complaining about the 920, but I just don't care for the overclocking argument). Paired with a solid state drive and PC3-1600 low latency Dominator triple-channel memory chips (and a P6X58D Premium motherboard with SATA III and USB 3.0) and I have a system that will last me quite a while before I need an upgrade. Could I have waited until the price of those components come down? Yes, but there will always be something better. I spend a lot of time on my computer (for work and play) and I want something that will satisfy me for many years before my next upgrade.



As far as performance, OH MY GAWD! I can't really compare it to the 920 since I don't have one. I can't even separate out the effect of the solid state drive, dominator memory, P6X48D motherboard, or the i7-960, but I swear the computer just reads my mind and performs the tasks. Never had I seen instant loading like this system does. I am absolutely blown away. I am sure Windows is creating a new operating system to slow things down, but until that happens, I am a happy camper. Intel Core i7-960 Processor 3.20 GHz 8 MB Cache Socket LGA1366

A very good affordabe CPU indeed. Most people are stuck on the budget based i7-920..I'm sorry but it's 2011. The i7-960 isn't the newest chip on the market either, but it has 8 logical cores and will compete for the years to come. It ranks as a 7.5 on Windows performance test. I've overclocked it to 4Ghz and it's ranking a 7.7 out of 7.9! If I overclock it a litte more I could probably max it.



The speed is amazing and this chip spreads the work out so well it's usually at 0% in my performance monitor. I've actually never seen it go above 25% honestly lol. It runs all the CPU intensive games smoothly [if you have a good graphics card]. This chip is for X58 boards and can use X.M.P compatible memory and triple channel memory. Of course it can do DIMM memory as well.



This chip can EASILY be overclocked to 4Ghz by rookie overclockers. Anything higher than 4.0Ghz-4.2Ghz can get tricky. 4Ghz with 8 logical cores [4 core+ 4 HT] will be more than enough for the years to come with a good set up. I give this chip 5 stars for it's greatness and speed.



Another thing you might want to know about this chip is that it is a 45nm chip and can take more overclocking heat than Intels newer chips which are 32nm chips, which are more susceptible damage from heat/higher Vcore/CPU voltage values. So this chip is defintely a great buy for long term use.

This is an excellent CPU just as the other reviewers mention. I just want to mention that it DOES come with a fan/heatsink (Intel calls it a "Thermal Solution". They really do!).

Anyway, I could not find any mention of this in the description or review so I thought I would save somebody money. I bought an extra fan and did not need it.

Installed on asus rampage3 gene oc'd to 4.2 and installed 12gb ram. Multitasks like crazy. No problems at all and running air cooled system. Get the 6 core extreme if you can afford it if your as power hungry as I am.

The processor is very good in performance almost always walks around 6% of maximum use Internet browsing and chatting on msn, I felt good investment and buy it on offer, the only thing that I really like is the high handles this micro temperature which shows minimum 40 ° making basic things and more than 55 ° - 60 ° in short sessions of play. I rely on this as I can do compared to my previous architecture which was an intel Q6600 which remained much cooler both in idle state (34 °) as playing or demanding applications (max 50 °) really thought that this I7 could be cooler but it's only a matter of put a giant cooler (thermaltake, cooler master or any other) the problem is that the new refrigerators are very heavy and I'm afraid I bent or split the motherboard.

I chose this over the 2nd gen i7-2600K because it was cheaper and had great reviews, and the corresponding MoBo's were cheaper and more reliable according to reviews. I'm glad I did, because this processor is more of a speed demon than I expected, and I'm glad I didn't spend another $50 for what I would expect to be marginal improvements. I've never seen the processor go above 30% and that was when I was trying to max this thing out. My MoBo monitoring software reads the processor at 3.4 Ghz out of the box and Windows Experience Index gives it a 7.6.
