Friction Mount - dashboard mount, gps mount
For anyone who finds anything hanging from the front windshield to be a distraction this is a great alternative. This mount is heavy enough to remain in place when driving over the bumpiest of road surfaces yet compact enough to sit on the dashboard and still be out of my line of sight.
A nice little product for the money! Garmin Nuvi GPS Portable Dashboard Friction Mount Kit
Too bad this didn't work out for me as I really liked the idea of the friction mount weighted down base and it works...BUT...just trying to attach the bracket to the ball on the holder, just like one of the reviews here, attaching it was soooooooo hard and when my husband and I thought we finally got it in, well, as soon as I adjusted/rotated it, it came off!!! And when we attached our Garmin nuvi 1390 LMT, it fit alright but didn't secure it as the bottom part of our garmin has 2 grooves so it was slightly crooked. So in reality, it does fit all garmin 4.3 screens but not ALL models and certainly not the Garmin Nuvi 1390 LMT. Needless to say, am returning the item. Thanks to Amazon for easy returns.
I wasn't able to attach the bracket to the ball on the holder. I finally got someone stronger to do this for me. Now that it is attached, as soon as I tried to rotate the bracket, the bracket and ball together broke off the holder. Never even got to use this item, and it is now too late to return as a defective product. Do not buy this product.
The "ball" on the holder is too large for the mount on the device. I tried two different mounts (that are supposed to snap onto that ball" and neither fit. The mounts did fit on the ball of the holder that came with the GPS so clearly this product is flawed - Garmin Nuvi - Gps Mount - Dashboard Mount'

Universal Laptop Ac Adapter - universal power adapter, universal laptop ac adapter
This charger is designed for laptop batteries, so don't worry about being anemic on the power. The selector switch can pick 15, 16, 18, 18.5, 19, 19.5, 20, 22 and 24 volts power. Not only that, but there is a device to lock your selection so the switch doesn't accidentally move and fry your device. That is awesome!
After I received it, I discovered that the input voltage can vary all over the place, 120v, 240v, it really doesn't matter and the electronics sense the voltage supplied to the device. You can take this puppy to Europe, Africa, South America, just switch the standard input plug and you're good to go!
There are plenty of different output plugs to fit just about anything. I am very impressed with this great charger and doubly impressed by the price. The only thing that does not impress me is that the rating above asked me to rate the charger's battery life. That's food for thought...
Buy one. You won't be disappointed. Universal AC Adapter 15V 16V 18V 18.5V 19V 19.5V 20V 22V 24V 70W
This was the second charger I bought in a month. This brand works a lot better than the other cheap one I bought. I definitely recommend it. Only downfall is that it sticks straight out of my laptop about an inch.... can't beat the price though
I bought this item for my RC battery charger's power supply when my original failed. It works perfectly, no loss of power. As a bonus I can use it with my laptop as well since it came with so many adapters.
I bought this for my Russound A-Bus system. The original power supply was rated at 20-25V, 3A max, and 60W. The tip was 5.5 x 2.5 mm. This adaptor works very well and the tip that comes with this universal adaptor (without any additional adaptor) is 5.5 x 2.5mm which fit perfectly.
APPARENTLY, MY DAUGHTERS PUPPY HAD A LIL FUN WITH HER CHARGER...
YOU KNOW TEENAGERS: ONE DAY WITHOUT A LAPTOP..."HER LIFE IS OVER"
I PRICED THEM FOR 80.00$
WHEN I SAW THESE PRICES..I HAD TO ORDER TWO OF THEM FOR HER. (JUST IN CASE)
THEY ARRIVED THREE DAYS LATER.. <<<HER LIFESAVER>>>
The product powered my Sony laptop but the charger did not have a 19.5 volt selection as indicated. The fairly new battery does not charge with this adapter, and it may be because the only selection I have is the 19 volt setting.
Because the universal adaptor connector sticks out so far, my laptop connector was damaged due to stress when sitting in and getting out of the recliner chair. I was warned of this by an earlier reviewer.
Anyway, I had to hard-wire the adaptor to the laptop. So because of this and the inability of the charger to charge my battery, my laptop is basically a portable desktop unit.
This adapter offers a variety of tips and a variety of voltages. There is a switch that can be used to set the voltage, some rubber inserts that will keep the switch in any give position, and a rubber cover for the switch, making the rubber inserts unnecessary. I don't know why they bothered giving both, but it can't hurt.
The power supply is as accurate as you could expect for its design. The output will be in proportion to your AC voltage, which will vary a bit from place to place. If you look at the picture (enlarge as much as possible) you will see a switch that shows available voltages. The instructions list others, such as 19 volts, that are not really there. What they should be telling you is that the device is suitable for 19V uses, since electronic devices have a degree of tolerance. Although the device is suitable for the uses it implies, has the correct tips for the devices it claims to support, and has voltage settings that are within the range of any of the ones listed, it can't technically be set for some of the voltages listed. Even though it's unlikely to make a real world difference, I still have to downgrade it by a star for that. It will confuse customers.
DC devices such as computers run on batteries or can use a power adapter to provide equivalent voltage. When batteries are used, the voltage drops over time, and the batteries can die completely. So having a power setting that's a half volt under what you were expecting is far less of a deviation than your computer is designed for, but for charging purposes, the optimal settings are the one that the computer was designed for, which are the ones for the factory power supply.
Purchased and had to return for my T61p lenovo / ibm laptop. The tips supplied do not fit the larger plug size on this laptop. Technical description on website say it is a 90 watt adapter, package matches the photo and it shows as a 70 watt adapter. Power brick is small and light, cables are skinny. Not sure how durable it would be. I would have kept it if it would have fit my plug.
Works fine with my HP Laptop dv-7-407. Stays cool even when laptop fan goes into overdrive. A message comes up saying that this is not a sufficient power supply, but the message goes away in a couple of minutes. The cords a bit short. - Charger - Power Supply - Universal Power Adapter - Universal Laptop Ac Adapter'

Stuhrling Original - wrist watches, sport watch
i really like this watch. i just cant take it off. it just looks amazing. personally its a great mix between looking sporty vs mature. this is my second automatic and i am very pleased with what i got from amazon. the delivery was super fast as well. now its a big watch for sure and i wont recommend it for a skinny person. the inner workings of the watch is a beauty and well what can i say, if you feel this works with your style and use, def go for it. Stuhrling Original Men's 206B.33152 Zeppelin 72 Skeleton Automatic Silver Dial Watch
This watch deserves the name Zeppelin. It's a big, beautiful piece of machinery. And I mean big, it's thicker than my index finger. I feel like I need to bulk up just to earn the right to wear it. I am very fond of skeletonized watches and the Zeppelin's gears are as open to viewing as is possible. I love how the clear crystal casing encloses the inner watch. It's like a museum display of fine craftsmanship. I heartily recommend the Zeppelin 72 to anyone who wants a big, beautiful watch.
I was a bit skeptic when ordering because of the price ($99.99) and figured that large discount was somewhat of a farce. I also kind of thought it might be cheap looking but I said what the heck. Stuhrling makes a lot of very interesting designs so I said it might be worth a try. From the time I opened and saw the parcel, I was in awe! The message on the outside of the box, the actual size of the box and then the watch itself. My wife's first words were, "how much did you pay for that?" to her surprise, it was very reasonable... I didn't even have to lie ;-)
The watch is somewhat large, but as expected. I wasn't expecting it to be so thick though, but I like it. It must be a half inch thick. The metal is very shiny, the glass is crystal clear and the mechanisms inside are really nice and well made (I love automatic watches, especially skeletons). The band is real leather and think and stiff and suits the watch. This is a very good price for the quality of the watch... keep in mind I just got it today and it could all fall apart tomorrow... but my initial reaction is like the title says, "wow!"
I'm not a collector per se, but I have a lot of watches. This is my new favorite and I will probably wear it a lot. I'm already somewhat known for having a lot of nice watches, including some more expensive ones, and I know I'll get a lot of comments on this one. It's just so differnt. As you can tell, I'm sold and I'll probably buy several more Stuhrling watches. I was also very surprised that there is a 2 yr international warranty and the warranty cards says they will give you 1 more year of warranty if you post a review on amazon :) very cool! - Wrist Watches - Invicta - Sport Watch - Watches'

Model Engineering - circular saws, bandsaw
I purchased this saw for cutting small material (Brass) I use for modeling. The saw operates and cuts rigid material great. The only flaw I have found is in the way the saw does not support the material being cut, on the right side of the blade.. This causes the material to not be square or have a lot of extra tear out. I fixed this with a custom table. I also agree with one of the other reviews about the possibility of the blade hitting the vise if you are not careful in setting up your cut. Overall this is a nice saw and I am glad I bought it. Proxxon 37160 KGS 80 MICRO Chop Saw
I struggled with those horrid aluminum miter boxes for years! This little beauty makes perfectly perpendicular cuts. The vice and stop combination works like a dream. Trust me, this product rocks and I am VERY picky about my tools.
Needed a small diameter saw to make close cuts on aluminum. This saw was well built with plenty of power. Very compact and user friendly.
Only problem was that the unit was shipped with a broken plastic blade guard....which the distributor arranged to be replaced at no charge within a week or so.
A very nice portable table-top chop saw. Very stable, sturdy and relatively vibration free. It cuts quickly and smoothly. The noise level is moderate.
The vise rotates +/- 45 degrees from zero, but the ends of the vise clamps extend too far and prevent making a "deep" cut without cutting into the clamps. The right ends of the vise clamps need to be shortened by about !/2" to fully clear the blade! This is a major drawback when cutting thick material at 45 degree angles.
Otherwise a nice saw for thin material up to about 1/2".
My four stars are only as I've been using this saw for only two days - there must be something wrong I haven't found, else I'd give it five.
I bit the bullet and ordered it on the overall thrust of the reviews. My needs are a bit different than the other reviewers. I cut small very hard steel pieces, and larger less hardened steel. I also have a problem with the short stock on some of my cuts. I've been using the cheap mini-chop, and a larger chop saw - but neither grip the stock well, and neither gives an accuracy of angle.
I bought an abrasive blade for ferrous metals for this saw, and I've tested it. I make wood turning "hollowing" tools for my own use. That involves chopping 2 1/2" 10" Cobalt HSS square blanks of 1/8", 3/16", and 1/4" in half. I tried a 1/4" blank tonight - cut it square in about 5 minutes (including taking time out to avoid excess heating). My concern was that the blank had only about a half inch of support on the vise - was afraid that it would shift downwards from the pressure of the saw. The grip of the vise is both strong and positive - I got a square cut on the short blank (except when I got impatient at the end and pushed too hard). I'll probably make jigs to support the short blanks in the future - but that is easy, a long piece of soft wood slightly oversized to the cutter blank - the wood will compress and the blank be grabbed, yet it will be supported. I've not seen a better vise yet.
My shafts are O-1 steel. I went through a 3/8" shaft in a minute or so, again a fine cut. I expect that I'll be able to cut my larger shafts (9/16" O-1 round stock) in about 10 minutes. Sounds like a long time, but the alternatives are worse - expensive machines, or less accurate approaches - and a lot of noise. I could cut faster with more pressure, but then I'd wear the abrasive wheel with the heat.
With an optional wheel this machine cuts hardened steel. As to the wood cutting and soft metal the other reviewers have covered that.
One last comment. One reviewer mentioned that at an angle the blade hits the vise jaws. I suggest he try the excellent design feature that allows one to move the entire saw head left or right with a knob. This is more than just a way to adjust the point of the cut - it is also a tremendous convenience in locating the cut. Instead of moving the workpiece to the location of the blade one can clamp the workpiece in the vise securely - then move the saw laterally to hit the point of the cut. I admit that one needs a flashlight to do it (to see one's mark), but a built in light would make the saw package larger. No problem with one handing the operation while holding the flash - the know only requires one hand to shift the saw. It makes a much more accurate line up than re-adjusting the vise.
This is a keeper. I could handle accurate wood cuts with a cheaper cut-off saw, but hardened metal needs a good grip, and a positive angling. So far, so good - I think "this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" (to quote Casablanca and Bogart) with this saw.
One final suggestion - and one that is often mentioned in reviews of cut-off saws when used on metal. The sparks. Take a cardboard box and cut it to fit under the saw (this saw requires no positive bench mounting, there is no "movement" pressure)and behind it. Leave enough of the top to hold it together, and cut away the sides for the cord and the knobs. Captures the sparks and filings, and makes for easy clean-up.
The strong vise and the positive turntable are what makes this worth the extra money over the other micro cut-offs. It is also a lot quieter. It is not a machine I'd recommend for production metal cutting on the job - one does have to take it slowly. But for me, making tools where most of the process is the later hand finishing, it is perfect.
Best, Jon
This is a solid and very quite mini chop saw. I would not compare it to a compound angle mitre saw. The blade will not hit the vise if the head is adjusted as advised in the instructions. I use it to cut allthread; 6/32, 8/32, and other small metal diameters. The self centering vise jaws are excellent for this operation! I don't use a saw to mitre small wood parts. I find a guillotine (Grizzly G1690)Miter Trimmer to be a better choice. - Circular Saws - Bandsaw - Saw - Model Trains'

Recording Equipment - headphones, headphone amplifier
I bought this because I have trouble hearing the TV and I've already tried various wireless headphone devices without success. Those that required batteries used them up fast, especially when I didn't remember to turn the unit off. Then, they had to be synced every time I changed the batteries. Others needed to be recharged between sessions and would run dry in the middle of a movie. Others had the hardware built into the headphones making them heavy and requiring replacement of the whole system when the headphones wore out.
Finally I discovered this little headphone amp and I couldn't be happier. To my slightly inadequate ears, it sound very clear and it has far more amplification that I can ever use. My wife uses one of the other outlets occasionally and, of course, there's a couple of spare jacks if I have any hard-of-hearing company. It has a power supply so no more piles of dead batteries.
I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to get a boost or extra ports for any device. It's amplification is far greater than any of the devices I tried that are made for personal music players. Although it has 1/4" output jacks, you can buy 1/4 to 3.5 adapters for pennies on Amazon and have an amp that will work with the more common size for an incredible price.
I'm using the headphone amp at the end of a cheap 30 foot cable but it still works very well and the volume controls are smooth and without static. The amp puts out more sound than my ears can, or should take. Unlike most of the other devices I tried, it has the power to drive any headphones I want, including noise cancelling. Finally I can enjoy a movie and hear what everyone is saying. Behringer HA400 4-Channel Stereo Headphone Amp
Four stereo preamps/amps in one small package for $29.95 with free shipping. I'm only using one of the stereo channels, but it's still a great product and a bargain. I bought two to use as booster preamps. I'm using one to boost the stereo line level output from a TV/Monitor to a self-powered loudspeaker/subwoofer system. The second unit is being used to boost the stereo headphone output from a notebook computer to a self-powered loudspeaker/subwoofer system. They are both working out perfectly. The uses for this product are only limited by your imagination.
If needed, Parts Express sells gold-plated 1/4" stereo male To 3.5mm stereo female adapters, part number 091-1025, for $2.15 each.
I bought this about a year ago. A month after it was put into use one of the outputs would only play the right chanel. Now 2 of the ouputs only play the right chanel. I tossed it in the garabage as there are no serviceable parts inside.
I wasn't sure what to expect for 30 bucks, and thought I'd gamble on it. But I've been pleasantly surprised with this little guy! It gives a great boost to headphone volumes as used in my little home studio setup. It was just what I needed and didn't cost much. There's no extras, no switches, just 4 volume pots, but its a great buy. - Amp - Behringer - Headphones - Headphone Amplifier'

Purchased the LN46C650 model 3 weeks ago ($1167 thru Amazon) and absolutely love it. I was not sure how much added value the internet TV would provide, but after having it for a few weeks I am very glad I went with this model over the non-internet models. I haven't tested every feature yet, so this review is based on taking the usual features for a spin.
Delivery: White-glove service was fantastic (on-time, no damage), but then again it would be pretty hard to mess up walking the set 15 feet inside the doorway. Nonetheless, they did great.
PROS:
- Pandora rocks. This is by far my favorite internet feature to stream music through the TV. I don't have a big stereo system and FM reception is spotty, so this really was a welcome feature.
- The sound is just fine. I know some say the Samsung sound isn't up to Sony, and that may be true, but how often are you blasting the volume past, say, 20? The room we have it set up in is relatively small (15x20), so it suits us just fine.
- YouTube, Vudo, Yahoo, Associated Press, Weather, and Flickr feeds are pretty cool. You can download movies from Netflix and Blockbuster, but i'm not sure this is any better (cheaper) than most cable services. I guess if you don't have cable this would be great.
- I have AT&T U-Verse, and the SD picture is great when tuned to non-HD channels. The HD is amazing.
- The Automotion is great, but only for sports in my opinion. We turn it off for regular programming as with HD and Automotion on, the scenes look a little on the cheap side (maybe too real??). It is like you are in the room, which i don't like. This is probably just a personal preference thing.
- The TV itself looks amazing and the lack of the red-touch-of-color I think is a good thing.
- Controls to tweak the picture seem more than adequate to suit anyone's preferences, though I'm not a A/V guru.
- AllShare feature lets you access music, photos and videos contained on networked computers through your TV (after downloading/installing samsung software on your PC). This worked flawlessly and setup was intuitive.
- Plug-N-Play media contained on a thumb drive works great too.
CONS: I can't think of any major ones, but I'll list a few initial thoughts...
- AnyNet+ seems before its time (you have to have all Samsung devices to use as far as I can tell)
That's about all I have. If anyone has any questions, I will try to answer. All in all, I have to give this TV a 5. The potential uses for the internet connectivity seems huge.
UPDATE: 4 months in and we still love this TV. No problems whatsoever. There are some new Samsung Apps i thought I'd mention...
- Google Maps App, can get live traffic just like the web version. Hard to get any accident data though.
- Other new apps (but haven't tried): Napster, Hulu Plus, Facebook, CinemaNow?, DailyMotion? Samsung LN46C650 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)
I've only had the TV for a few hours, but I have only good things to say at this point. The image quality is awesome, the box was pristine, and setting it up was really easy. The delivery guy even helped me get it mounted to the stand, which I don't think he had to do. I like the menu system--it looks cool and is intuitive and well organized.
There are a few things I was concerned about after reading reviews of other Samsung LCD TV's, but I haven't found any of them to be an issue:
- The remote is not finicky. You can point it in any direction, even backwards, and it works perfectly.
- While you would not mistake the sound from the TV as coming from a good stereo, I'm very happy with it. I've only turned it up to about 15 out of 100, and even that seems loud in a quiet house. If it scales linearly, I can't imagine ever needing to turn it up all the way.
- Some people complained about a system Samsung uses to dynamically adjust the backlight to get deeper blacks, and that this system is really annoying. This TV either doesn't use it, or it's not annoying, or maybe I just don't know what I'm supposed to be ticked off about :)
- One guy got the wrong stand for his TV. I think he might just be incompetant. I admit when I looked at the TV and the stand, I wasn't sure how they went together at first. When I found the bracket for connecting the two (with good, albeit unnecessary instructions), it became obvious.
- I'm not a big fan of the touch of color business, but most of the time you can't even see it.
The picture quality is so beautiful I've even found myself watching (some) pre-recorded commercials, admiring nature shots and cars with sleek lines. The new interest in commercials will presumably wane with time. :)
If I discover any problems, I'll come back and update.
UPDATE (5 months): I still love the TV, and as predicted, I've gone back to skipping commercials. With regard to the remote sensitivity, I believe the sensor on the TV is in the lower right. At one point we had the Wii sitting there, partially blocking that corner, and it seemed that the remote connection became more finicky. (The solution, obviously, is to keep that area of the TV stand clear.)
If you have a laptop, the internet connectivity may not be worth it; check the price of the LN46C630 instead, which is basically the same minus the net connection. Occasionally it's useful, but trying to type with the remote is clumsy, not all YouTube videos work (this is a licensing issue, not the TV's fault), and I can't open my Picasa account, despite going through the procedure to register my account. Since connecting a computer is really easy, I very quickly lose patience with the built-in system. I should try Pandora; I noticed another reviewer liked that. I still love the TV, because it's good at being a TV, and I don't need it to double as a computer when there are four in the house.
Regarding Auto Motion Plus: At first, I just noticed that everything looked kind of weird and smooth--the best description I have is that everything looked like a soap opera. Ultimately, I decided I hated it and turned it off. As I understand it, it's a way of interpolating frames when the input is slower than 120Hz. It seems like a good idea, I just couldn't get used to it. If I could bring myself to watch a soap opera, I'd be curious to see how much soapier it can get with Auto Motion Plus.
Also, do yourself a favor: buy a ~$5 HDMI cable online, rather than getting suckered into the $50-100 cables that do the EXACT SAME THING. Keep your cables short and use as few connections as possible, and you'll be just fine. - Samsung Lcd - 46 Inch - Hdtv - 120hz'

Chain Saw Accessories
If you have an air die grinder, or a Dremel, and you've tried the chain saw sharpening stones... you've probably wondered (while silently swearing) that someone MUST make a better attachment. THIS is it. If I was really really lucky, I might get three chains sharpened with one of the stone abrasive attachments. When I wasn't lucky, the dumb things would break down almost immediately. That is NOT the case with these burrs. The diamonds are embedded into the metal on these burrs. I can sharpen a chain in about the same time it takes to change a chain. I've sharpened 5 chains with the first burr (there are 4 of them), and it's not even close to being dull. Also, I can apply PRESSURE without anything breaking down. These are definitely worth the money. Anytime Tools 3/16" DIAMOND CHAINSAW SHARPENER BURR 1/8" Shank, 4 Pack
I have a chain saw I loaned out and when I got it back it was as dull as a butter knife. I tried several times by hand using a file and rickety file guide to sharpen, but with one of the gee-whiz Dremel file guides and these sharpeners I have the sharpest saw in town. Very easy and fast to use. It take about 2-5 minutes to sharpen a chain on an 18 inch bar.'

Kindle Dx Leather Cover - kindle dx leather cover, kindle dx case
My new Kindle DX2 graphite came yesterday and immediately I realized I needed a cover. I was nervous when putting the DX down and picking it up fearing that I would drop or scratch it; and there's no great way to carry the Kindle around without a cover. Also I found the bare Kindle to be a bit fidgety to hold while reading and I was hoping a cover would give me a better grip.
This cover was just released and I like the fact that it has the elastic band to hold it closed like the original Kindle 1, as I had read that the older DX cover did not always stay closed. I got the cover with 1-day local delivery and it just arrived.
The cover weighs a bit more than 11 ounces so the Kindle with cover is 30 ounces. This makes it significantly heavier than just the Kindle alone (18.75 oz), however the cover gives you several better ways to hold the Kindle, including open like a book or folded back. If you rest the Kindle on something to take the weight off, it is definitely more comfortable to read with it. My preference is to lie on the couch with the Kindle balanced on my chest/stomach and my left hand holding the top of the left part of the cover open at about 90 degrees.
I'd give it 5 stars if it was lighter, but so far I really like it. Kindle DX Leather Cover, Black (Fits 9.7" Display, Latest and 2nd Generation Kindle DXs)
I ordered the cover with the new DX Kindle because I like to take care of my gadgets. While it's very cool opening a leather notebook with a Kindle inside instead of a notepad, I have to admit it was slightly disappointing.
Product Page:
. . . this official leather book cover offers optimal protection for your Kindle DX (9.7" Display) . . .
Comment:
There IS protection, but it's somewhat thin. I think there's a cardboard core inside it. It would be better if it were aluminum to help protect for minor strikes and bumps, or at least a substance as hard as a typical fine leather-bound book. As an example: sometimes I pick it up after closing it for a minute or two and I see the search bar on screen, indicative of the space bar being pushed through the cover while just lifting it from the bottom!
PP:
. . . This lightweight cover is perfect . . . ensures the ultimate fit and protection without adding bulk and weight.
C:
It doesn't add a lot of bulk, but it after adding a Kindle inside it will top the scales at almost 2 lbs (11 + 19 oz). I'd be ok with that if I was a little more confident in the protection it provides.
PP:
Read in Comfort
C:
This 100%. It's a much more comfortable way to hold the Kindle. I left out the rest for brevity. It's so much better to hold and read (just like a book). Due to the materials, though, I'm hopeful it doesn't wear out from general use, though. Access to all controls and jacks.
PP:
. . . patent-pending hinge system secures your Kindle to the cover . . . with a strap to keep the cover firmly closed.
C:
AARG. The hinge is really good and fairly easy to mount (and dismount if needed). I sure hope they license it out for others that might make a beefier cover. To be perfectly honest, that description dissuaded me from picking up any third party covers that, well, who knows, might actually be more of what I like and less costly. I'll admit the strap is really cool with a Amazon Kindle logo flag to help grab it. The strap material is just like the thick type used in hair bands you might find in the chain pharmacy, and the flag can be positioned anywhere along it.
Overall it's a nice product, but, I'm not sure why it costs as much as a high-quality leather-bound dead-tree book. I suppose part of the price could be considered Kindle Insurance, but at three fifths the cost it would better represent it's value.
I fell in love with my new orange leather Kindle DX cover. However, as the weeks went by I began to notice that the plastic frame of the Kindle at the point where the top clamp fastens in...was actually lifting and small hairline cracks were forming. Did I install it incorrectly? No, actually, the top clamp is defective, it curls up and out and overtime will begin to lift and crack. Fortunately, I noticed this soon enough to be totally satisfied with Amazon Kindle response which was a new Kindle and full credit back for the defective case. Until the cases are re-designed, I would not buy one of these. Too bad, because they are truly functional, lovely and practical.
The reason people give it 5 stars is because they don't give the product enough time before they review it. I purchased this along with my kindle dx on August 12, 2010. I can honestly say that I don't recommend this product as it will damage the kindle. The hinge that attaches to the kindle will eventually put pressure on the kindle front plastic cover and soon you will see it crack. To avoid this, you have to make sure the kindle doesn't rock back and forth from off the back cover causing the hinge to bend more and crack the front plastic further. This is hard to do if you open and close your kindle many times a day or simply lend it to someone else who doesn't know better. One thing I can honestly say is that I really wanted to like this product. I really wanted it to work. I'm looking for a slip cover now.
This cover is exactly the right size to properly cover the e-reader. The inside is a nonslick surface that would not allow scratches. The hooks built into the inside spine that are used to secure the Kindle do exactly that. No movement whatsoever from the machine in the cover. Very nice.
I do suggest purchasing the Smak-Dab Cover Secure Clip also sold on Amazon as it just adds additional protection from you opening the kindle from the back instead of the front and possibly damaging it. Or from a person other than yourself doing that while looking at it. As you know your friends will just have to check out your E-reader!!! - Kindle Dx Case - Kindle Covers - Kindle Dx Leather Cover - Kindle Accessory'

Backpacking - laptop backpack, backpacking
I bought this at Sam's club for around 40 bucks for commuting on a motorcycle. As a previous reviewer stated, this will not fit 17" widescreen laptops, UNLESS you do what I did and simply rip the seam at the bottom of the laptop sleeve all the way across to the sides (center section first, then two short side sections along bottom of seam). Then the laptop slides right down to the bottom of the back and voila, perfect fit. I have an ECS G900 laptop that is possibly one of the largest available - it measures 15.6" W x 11.6" D x 1.75" thick. This is just slightly larger than other models I have seen listed by reviewers that won't fit without modification. Just get a $0.99 seam ripper and spend a few minutes to open it up and save a lot of $ on the bag itself. I only gave 4 stars because I had to rip the seam myself, otherwise would give this 5. SwissGear Wired Laptop Backpack for 17-Inch Notebook (Black)
I got this backpack to use for my freshman year in high school and it is great. It has a lot of space, pockets, etc. It fits everything i need for school and just right at that. The back of the backpack is padded so that makes it more comfortable, and it has other ways to make the load lighter. It is also great for traveling because you can put your laptop in it, put in your mp3 player in the media pocket, and be able to fit all your carry on items in it. I love it so much and i give it an A+. I recommend it for all high schoolers and travelers.
I travel on business and bought this after I decided to quit hauling my laptop around in a handheld leather satchel. The compartments are well thought out for the business traveler and I liked this so much, I bought the matching Swiss Gear rolling duffel. The combination of the two are perfect for the 1-3 day trips that I take on a routine basis.
The MP3 jack on the shoulder stap is a nice feature, but I really don't use it very much. Highly recommended for business travlers and students alike...
I bought this backpack in place of a purse and to carry the shenanigans required with 4 small kids, while i'm in a large cast and using crutches.
Pros:
*There are pockets everywhere, every shape and size pocket you'd want, and pockets in pockets, and pockets in pockets, in pockets.
*Its made from heavy-duty industrial strength materials, everything is reinforced and i'm confidant that we'll have this backpack for the rest of our lives. Not even my 4 children will be able to kill this thing.
*Straps, clips, hooks and clasps abound, so i can hook my keys onto the outside in a number of places, or attached on the interior on similar clips.
*Some mesh pockets allow for visibilty.
*Most pockets zipper, with dual zippers, but several pockets also are cinched at the top with heavy duty elastic - which allows me to reach around and dig into one of them and fish something out, without having to find the zipper...but the elastic is banded tightly and effectively enough that your items won't fall out unintentionally either
*The shoulder straps are padded very, very well and its comfortable to wear, even when it choc-full and i'm hobbling on crutches.
*Interior dividers are thickly padded too, which is overkill for most items (when i try to put loose paper in there) but nice if i slide my kids portable DVD player in, my day-timer someplace else and my laptop in another slot. That's a plus, if you're buying this for your electronics obviously.
Cons:
*Its really heavy, even before you put anything in it. surprisingly heavy.
*Because of all the whiz-bang features and a thousand pockets, its bulky.
*If you pay $140 for this, you're crazy. I bought it on a "Gold Box" special for $40 and everyone else seems to have gotten it other places for that cost.
*With all those pockets, and deep dividers within pockets, within pockets; you'll inevitably find yourself digging around to find your things.
I would buy this again, and recommend it for someone who would benefit from so many organized, divided pockets; is looking for an uber-padded bag; and is okay with hauling around a backpack a little heavier and bulkier than most.
If your laptop is 15.4" it is a very good for you. The title is written for 17" laptop but it is not true. My laptop is 17" and it could not fit. Even I couldn't close the backpack when I put my laptop in the backpack!!! - Swissgear - Backpacking - 17 Inch Laptop Bag - Laptop Backpack'

Memory Stick Pro Duo - cybershot, memory stick
Even though I have been slowly weaning myself off of the newer Sony cameras, I still have some Sony devices that need memory pro duo cards. There are some advantages and a few disadvantages, namely the cost and availability. Sony's memory format averages 30 to 100 percent higher prices for the same capacity of SDHC cards. While that sucks, if you have a Sony Camera or a PSP there's not much you can do about it.
To that point, both the new Sony Cybershot DSCT300 Digital Camera and upcoming PSP God of War Entertainment Pack will benefit from any of these memory cards. Both of those devices, along with most Sony devices for that matter are only comaptible with the memory duo platform.
But like I said, if you need one of these cards, there are some advantages especially if you get a Mark II card. Namely, the performance speed of the mark II format is about 50% higher than the fastest available SDHC card at the moment. The rating is for 36 MB/s and what I've seen through some basic tests seems to indicate real performance close to this. In fact, the solid performance has to be the biggest pro for these cards. So while it sucks to have little choice, when you factor in the premium performance it's easier to swallow.
The 2 and 4 GB cards are a better value than larger capacity ones right now. Sometimes you want the largest card you can get, but till the 8 and 16 GB cards come down I see no reason to buy them. Not to mention, this isn't for my primary camera but for an older one that I use as a backup.
Make sure your device is compatible with the card. Some older electronics aren't compatible with larger capacities, although in general Sony has been better with making these guys backward compatible than others.
It's always a good idea to have several extra cards on hand just in case. This 4 GB card is a nice performer. If you have a high capacity camera (10 Megapixels or more) and are storing videos or RAW images, the extra cash for the 8GB card may be worth it if the price is right. Or you may want to step up to the larger 16 GB size that is now available. But if you wait a little longer you can save yourself some cash. I have to take off at least 1 star for value, but in terms of performance I couldn't be happier.
Enjoy! Sony 4 GB Memory Stick ProDuo MSMT4G/2NQT (Black)
At Least two of the Sony Packaged Memory's Pictured here on Amazon are FAKES or COUNTERFITS.
UNUSABLE MEMORY.
The people that make these are taking non-sony generic crap 512's, 1,2,or4 G size chips
and creating very elaborate nearly perfect (looking) FAKES! Zoom in and look very closely
at the model numbers for the 8 and the 16 Gig. In the third and forth images you can plainly see
the fake model numbers I have shown below.
Their numbers do not exist in the True Sony lineup.
for example: MSX-M8GST/X & MSX-M16GST/X do not exist <<< BOTH ARE FAKE
Dont believe me,, go look it up for yourself ,,, GOOGLE it or look at the links below.
THE NUMBERS SHOULD SAY
for MARKII MS-MT8G & MS-MT16G Also there is an 8g that is not MARKII it is MSX-M8GS/X << older model.
There is never a T toward the end of the model number in these particular Larger memories,
and NO MARKII's ever have a /X or a MSX !!! in the model # at all!
This fake erroneous numbering scheme was barrowed from the 1G MSPD which has the number > MSX-M1GST/X
and from what I can tell is the only Sony Stick to EVER have the T in that location!
Take the time to look at these links which are both VERY, VERY Informative on the Subject.
Look In Comments for them:

You should also know there not just doing these Sony Memory Sticks. Sandisk and Lexar as well as all forms of
flash memories and USB Thumb Drives including Kingston, as well as Many Others are being FAKED....
This 16GB Memory Stick Duo II card works great with the PSP portable gaming system. It comes pre-formatted, so all you have to do is stick it into your PSP and go. In fact, there is a picture of the PSP right on the packaging.
The usable space on this device is actually 14.9 GB, however.
The "Mark2" certification on the card has to do with higher writing speed requirements and indicates the memory is certified to operate with AVCHD recording products.
This is currently the only available 16GB Memory Stick. I bought it for my Playstation Portable in order to replace an 8GB Memory Stick.
Regarding the price you can easily argue that it is much cheaper to buy two 8GB Memory Sticks. And for any person who is concerned about spending money I would not recommend this product.
At the time I bought it, Amazon was offering the best price online. Regarding the fact that this Memory Stick is about $50 more expensive than the PSP itself, makes you think twice. But my sole purpose was that I wanted to keep things together: my music, videos and saved games etc.
This Memory Stick is large enough to satisfy my thirst for disc space with a single solution.
The Memory Stick works fine in my PSP. Before this one I used a Sandisk 8GB Memory Stick Pro Ultra and I cannot see a difference in read/write speed (while connected through USB to my PC).
Final thoughts:
If you are concerned about spending money and you can live with more than one MS for your gadgets, you should get two or more 8GB MS. If you want a single solution and price is of no matter, get this one. Since it is from Sony you can be sure it works with your MS-enabled gadgets.
Pro:
- high capacity
- read/write speed is up to par with other (higher ranked) memory sticks (using the PSP USB connection!)
Con:
- not cheap
5 out of 5 stars; simply because the price does not matter to me
(My guess is that the price will drop to about $150 once other manufactures offer similar capacity.) - Memory Stick - 4gb - Sony - Cybershot'

Sony Camera Battery Charger - photography, rechargeable batteries
I ordered this because I need a way to charge batteries for my Sony T500 (other one stopped working). My son's football game is tomorrow and the batteries do not fit in the charger! ARGH! I can't even use my overpriced Sony camera. The package I received is model number FC600 as indicated. But the package only lists Sony NP-BG1/BK1, NOT BD1! (as well as Sanyo DB-L80 & Pentax D-L188/L192). Maximal Power FC600 SON NP-FE1/FTR1/BD1/FD1 Rapid Travel Charger for Sony Battery (Silver)
I use this with a sony cyber shot camera when traveling.
it comes with 110 or 220 charger and a 12v car charger adapter also.
it charges quickly and has a light on it that goes out to let you know when it is done charging.
the plug in the back of the charger folds internally to make it more portable.
i have used mine from generator power in southern iraq to 110 in the phillipines and 220 in the balkins with no problem. i havnt had it on 12v yet though but im sure it will work very good also.
The original charger for my Sony DSC T-70 digital camera had died. This replacement was reasonably priced both for product and shipping. The new charger works in a house receptacle and in my vehicle. Thank you for providing this great item.
Shortly before an important family vacation, we realized we'd lost the factory charger for our Sony DSC T900 camera battery. A Sony replacement was ridiculously expensive, and after getting burned by buying something at Target that didn't work with our particular battery, I was nervous about ordering on-line at the last minute. The reviews on this were ambiguous regarding which models it worked for, but we took a chance, partly due to the very reasonable price. The charger arrived just in time and works perfectly for our camera model battery. 400 vacation pictures later, we're glad we took the chance.
I was outraged when I saw that the cheapest battery charger for for this battery priced @ 100 dollars on Sony's website. Without even thinking twice I blocked it and headed here where I found this gem of a charger. It has an indicator light to let you know when its fully charged, and its very portable and durable.I have had this now for about 8 months and consider it better than the stock charger. No issues with it at all and its a very reasonable price.
After the OEM charger broke, I needed a quick and inexpensive repalcement so that I could re-charge the $50 OEM Sony camera battery that I just purchased (isn't that a ridiculous price for a small battery? But the non-OEM version that I first bought was a lemon). Anyway, the charger works. Compact, and will travel easily with us to Hawaii later this month. - Photography - Rechargeable Batteries - Camera Batteries - Sony Rechargeable Battery Pack'

Lightsphere - diffuser, photography
I own several Gary Fong diffusers for my Nikon S-800 flash units. I love them.
I purchased 2 new Nikon SB-900 flash units (love them, too, after turning the temperature limit off) - and I need some Gary Fong diffusers for the SB-900s. I purchased a "universal" Gary Fong diffuser to test on a Nikon SB-900 - and it is a piece of junk!
The Gary Fong units for the SB-800s attach firmly to the flash. The "Universal" for the SB-900 Nikon flash is not made to fit the SB-900 at all. It has 4 "flaps" that go over the flash head - and a poorly-designed strap and - get this - a rubber band (!) to hold it on. It does not stay on !!! In the middle of a wedding or the reception it will be on the floor if you move too fast.
I'm shocked by how poorly this fits my flash. I can only hope that Gary Fong has a true SB-900 unit in production.
Universal here means "not really designed to fit anything." Gary Fong LSUCLOUD Lightsphere Universal Cloud
This diffuser does a great job of eliminating shadows - maybe too good of a job. I used this diffuser for the first time list last weekend. I got some great shots - but some of my shots were a little flat.....moodless; it did such a complete job of diffusing because everything was evenly lit.
For a wedding or event shooting it would be great.....for art shots you want to go for something with more control.
I wasn't really sure what to expect. I knew I needed a diffuser for my speedlite since I was going to be doing some night weddings soon. And really, that shadow right behind a person, that's bush league. That should never be there if someone is paying you.
Pulled it out of the box, and my first impression was: "sturdier than I thought it would be." Yes, for a piece of tupperware it's probably slightly on the expensive side. Under $40 is still a pretty chunk of change (and you should always equate what that really costs in your area of living. $40 = one dinner date (if you don't splurge), 6 fast food meals, 3.5 movie ticktes, 1 used video game, 1 decent shirt from the mall, 75 kg of food in Uganda, etc). But if it saves you time in post-production/ processing, then I think it's worth it. The flash, by being diffused, is not harsh. Allows for more crisp photos in darker situations. As with all lighting elements, if you're in a bigger room, then you don't want to be using a medium or long range lens with this, but a shorter range lens works quite well.
If you have problems with it fitting snug on - well, it fit fine on my speedlite. And if you're having problems with it fitting snug on, you can always pad either the flash or the lightsphere's prongs with a layer or several of black electrical tape. The rubber band made it snug on it's own on mine.
For the price, yes, I think it's worth it. Will I need this all the time? No. But that 10% when I do need something like this, I feel confident that it will work, and that I won't have to slave over a picture in Photoshop trying to make the best of a decent or bad situation.
I got this for shooting weddings and events, but have found it invaluable even for shooting around the house. In the past, I've had to stick with prime lenses when hanging out with friends in a poorly lit room - but now I can use my 16-35 lens (much better for stuff like this), without boosting the ISO. I've also used it for simple outdoor portrait settings, and it's really helped even out the fill flash. I love it - it's a little bulky, but well worth it even for casual settings like a home. I haven't had a chance to bring it out to events yet (first one is tonight) - but I'm confident that with as useful as it's been for situations it's NOT designed for, that it'll be awesome for weddings/events.
The GF "Universal" Lightsphere broke when placed for the 3rd time on my SB-900. The system, which tries (and fails in my experience) to accommodate flashes of very different sizes using rubber bands and velcro _fails_ on the large Nikon SB-900. I tried to fit it tightly and it just shattered. No excessive pressure, nothing. Broken. In my opinion it is _not_ compatible with the SB-900, claims to the contrary by Gary Fong not withstanding. I have no idea how well it works on smaller flash heads, or the smallest ones where I might be concerned about the security of the rubber band+velcro system for securing the supposedly universal device.
With that said, the two times I did use it before it broke I was pleased with the images compared to bounce+flash-card, especially in portrait mode. The direct light is good and the bounce + fill works well. The theory is good. In my experience the implementation is not adequate for serious work.
If you can (somehow) baby your gear in the field, the Gary Fong lightsphere might give you good results. That isn't me; I need to rely on my equipment and the universal ligthsphere fails badly with my SB-900 set. I will either go back to card+bounce, try the Honl modifiers or something else. For me, the Gary Fong "Univeral" lightsphere is an Epic Fail. - Photography - Diffuser - Lightsphere - Gary Fong'

Nano
I bought this stapler about 3 months ago and this little thing works great! I have yet to have the stapler jam and I do a lot of stapling! It has a lot of power......I have stapled up to 15 pages! My only complaint is that it is difficult to reload. Other than the reloading part it is the best mini stapler I have ever used! PaperPro 1800 Nano Mini Stapler - 5 Pack - Assorted Colors
Staplers were functionally exactly what I was expecting and superior to the other small staplers being offered. My only complaint is that I ordered an assortment of solid colors but received an assortment of transparent colors. Not enough of an inconvenience requiring a complaint and return, but since you are asking for a review I guess I have to give the product 4 stars and Amazon order fillers 0 stars.
This little pocket-size version of the PaperPro has the same satisfying snap-down action. It's not quite as strong, but it's just what a mini version ought to be.
It is rated for 12 sheet stapling, which it handles just fine on our standard copy paper. 14 sheets also worked OK, but at 16 sheets the staple does not fold in all the way and requires a little manual flattening.
Refilling the staples requires a lot of force to slide the bottom piece backwards. It only holds about a 1" strip of standard staples.'
