Christopher Lawford - mike binder, drama
I like this kind of quirky unpredictable comedy with so many subtle overtones, the kind that Colin Firth seems to have a penchant for. Its very hard to imagine a woman as attractive as Irene Jacob ever being attracted to a man like Mike Binder, but we're used to that in the movies, aren't we, ladies? I didn't much like Mariel Hemingway in this movie either, but I think she wasn't supposed to be very likeable. Maybe her character just wasn't developed enough, though, because I couldn't dislike her either. There were a few scenes where I felt she almost broke through and became someone real, but then it was gone again.
As for Mr. Firth, what can I say? He was first brought to my attention in Pride and Prejudice, and since then I have been astounded by his subtlety and skill in becoming so many men so well. This film was no disappointment on that score. Seeing him as a violent drunk was something of a revelation, but on a comic level, not reminiscent of his sterling performance as the tragially drunken husband in "The Widowing of Mrs. Holroyd", but equally interesting and entertaining. I like seeing him in every new role as I discover his films. Its like meeting someone and finding them to be complex and full of surprises. I have only watched this film a few times, though, so I haven't squeezed all of the juice out of it yet; but, so far, so good. Four Play
I almost did not buy this movie because of the title - what a delicious surprize. Such a great comedy! This is a three time a week movie - it makes me laugh so much.
When Christopher Lawford showed up on screen- I kept thinking who is that? Who does he look like? Well sad to say I am old enough to remember his father, Peter Lawford, but had never seen the son in a movie before. He looks so much like his father.
Colin Firth makes this movie! He plays such a great character and does it believably.
Such a great buy from Amazon.
... This movie is also known as Londinium (which by the way is the name of the book a character writes).
This was a pretty predictable movie. Not one that I would classify as a Romantic Comedy. Maybe better classified as a Drama gone wrong??
Colin Firth was delightful, as always. However, Mariel Hemingway was not.
Colin plays a TV producer of one of the hottest shows in Britain who is married to the shows star (Mariel Hemingway). A TV writer is acquired from America. He of course lusts after the Star. Much predictableness ensues as The Star and the Writer set out to put their respective partners in a situation where adultery can occur.
We end with the one couple committed to each other and the other going their separate ways.
I'd give this movie a "C". Good effort but not top of the class!
Four Play
What a great film. Once again, Colin Firth proves just how versatile an actor he really is. Great story line, and very predictable ending. Hemingway's performance is a bit disappointing. This was not the most hilarious of comedies, but it is a charming romantic film.
It's predictable, slow in some parts, seems to try too hard to be funny in other parts (and I have wondered for years how Mariel Hemingway ever earned the title 'actress')and all in all a mediocre movie. But, it's worth seeing for Colin fans and the great scene between Colin, Stephen Fry, and Irene Jacobs.
Buy it used and put in in your collection next to <shudder> 'Hour of the Pig'. ;-)
A wonderful movie for all fans of Colin Firth ! The sceene with Colin Firth at the session with the reluctant family counsellor played by Steven Fry is a must to see! Also worth seeing for Irene Jacobs.
I never heard of this movie and admit I bought it because Colin Firth is in it. This movie revolves around 4 people and their relationships. It begins with Carly and Allen, who are married on a picnic with Ben and Fiona, who Carly invited because she thought they would be good for each other. Allen(Firth) character is not a very like-able one in the beginning, how he treats Carly his wife, and his subordinates etc. But his character begins to grow and well I will not spoil the ending. NOTE: I watched this a few times and it does grow on one, seeing foreshadowing's missed the first time around.
Cast: Mike Binder plays Ben Greene; Colin Firth plays Allen Portland; Mariel Hemingway plays Carly Matthews Portland; Irène Jacob plays Fiona Delgrazia;
Stephen Fry plays Nigel Steele (Therapist); Jack Dee plays Glen; Stephen Marcus plays Davey; Christopher Lawford plays Davis;
Michael Meader plays Sitcom Husband; David Reid plays Assistant Director; Fabien Riggall plays Sitcom Son; Gordon Sterne plays Color of My Life Actor;
Kerry Appleyard plays Ben's Assistant; Tony Allen plays Rabbi; Michael Deaton plays Minister; Sally Thompson plays Woman in Church;
Charlie Gardner plays Rock Band in Park 'Carbon'; Jol Scott plays Rock Band in Park 'Carbon'; Diego Mancini plays Rock Band in Park 'Carbon';
Rod K. Brakes plays Rock Band in Park 'Carbon'; Jeanne Mockford plays Miss Daniels; Tim Briggs plays Stage Actor; Debbie Wiseman plays Pianist;
Kate Magowan plays Claudia/Girl at Serpentine; Don Cummings plays Waiter (uncredited); Vincent Grass plays Fiona's Father (uncredited);
I'm a great fan of Colin Firth and try to view everything he does. I did not enjoy this movie at all. The story just did not hold together and Heminghway did not help it. I often wonder why successful actors, such as Mr. Firth bother to do movies like this, when he can pick and choose. I am sure the only reason people buy this is beause he is in it. Of course, just looking at Colin is fun, but don't buy this movie for the storyline.
not happy with this one- have watched it twice in two days to try to find something more to like about it- without success. The story is OK, but there is not a lot of comedy in this 'sex-comedy' ( there's not a lot of sex either ), apart from the scenes with Stephen Fry as a therapist. Binder seems to be trying to emulate Woody Allen's style and character in this movie. The remaining characters do their bit, but there is not a lot to work with in a story about two couples who switch partners. - Drama - Mariel Hemingway - Irene Jacob - Mike Binder'

Akebono Brake Pads For 2003 Accord
The best thing that I like so far is that these pads do not generate the dust that some of the other after market pads do(Inwood). They do not appear to be overly aggressive on the rotors although this is an early assessment. I re-used all clips and sound deadners that were on the OEM pads unless a replacement was in the box and have noticed no brake noise. I have used Akebono pads in the past and have always been pleased with their performance and durability. Akebono ACT537 ProACT Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pad Set
Bought these and have used them for about 5K miles so far. No complaints yet, no vibe, sound or dust issues. If they keep up the good work I will definitely buy them again. Way better than the Wagner parts I had previously (so far).
I ordered them in August 2008 and will have to replace them sometimes in October 2010. Very easy to install. My 2003 Accord clocked 162K miles in 7 years and 7 months. Will definitely purchase them again. Paid $43 for the rear pair.
These pads are typically what Honda has used for OEM pads. They are quiet and well made. They also come with the anti vibration pad already attached to the back of the pad. Usually they include lubricant as well.'

Boat Covers
This shipped fast from Amazon as always. It appears to be well made and of high quality. It was easy to install and has performed flawlessly the past week when we had really high winds and heavy rains. Classic Accessories Hurricane Boat Cover (Model C)
This boat cover is strong, sturdy, has straps built into the tarp. Often in the summer when it rains water may rest on top of the tarp adding pressure. Most of my tarps I have used don't last long because of the weight of the water (I added poles in the boat to elevate the tarp but in some cases that's not enough) BUT this tarp is strong and holds up to the toughest of storms. Love it!
I've had this boat cover for nearly three months now, it works great! I have a heavy canvas car cover, and was expecting something similar, but this cover is a lot lighter and feels just as strong. There is a little extra material at the front of the bow, but for a universal cover it fits my 17.5 foot Baretta quite snugly. I was very pleased with how it trailers, no problems and no air pockets (even at 75 M.P.H.). The straps and buckles are of good quality. There is an extra, single tie down ring in the middle of the back of the cover, which is not as sturdy as the buckles, it broke when I put a rope through it and was tying this area down. However, I simply knotted the rope around the ring's strap and it is fine. In the picture it looks as if the cover comes with a pocket in the back, to go around an outboard. I am happy to say that this is NOT the case, as I have a stern drive and this extra material would look unappealing. I ordered a model D. As far as the color, it isn't blue (again referencing the picture), it is gray with a nice blue "Classic Accessories" logo on each side. The cover actually comes with a bow strap as well, unlike the picture. I am including a link to another Classic Accessories boat cover (Storm Pro), to show the actual strap system that the Hurricane Boat cover comes with. The logo location is also the same, but the Storm Pro is dark gray, the Hurricane is light gray. Classic Accessories StormPro Boat Cover. Overall I am very pleased with the Hurricane Boat Cover!
This is a sturdy cover with straps that are easy to use on my 17.5' Tracker. When I remove the cover I leave the straps connected to one side of the cover and toss the loose ends back over the top. I then roll the cover from front to back with the loose straps inside. At the back, I flip the back corners up over the rolled cover, then fold each side to the center, pick it up, and store it. When it's time to put the cover back on I simply unfold it, reconnect the back corner straps, and roll it forward. I toss the loose ends of the straps under the boat, then connect them, and I'm ready to roll.
This was purchased for a 1988 Ebbtide Dyna-Trak 178 SS. It fits the boat like a glove, but is not long enough to cover the motor (110hp Evinrude). The cover is of medium weight nylon. It has a buckle-strap arrangement that secures it to the boat from side-to side underneath and elastic around the perimeter, and is very easy to install. I use the cover only for storage but it appears it would serve well for trailering. So far it has withstood some fairly severe storms and just recently 9" of heavy, wet snow with no leaks. Overall a good cover for the relatively low price.
A good product for the price. If you snug it down tight it doesnt flap (at least at 55) Good to keep leaves out of the boat, seems to be only about 90% waterproof. My boat is in the middle of the size recommendation for this cover, and it is a tight fit. Make sure you cover sharp objects. I think my folded bimini is what makes it a tight fit. I will add to this review after 6 months when I have tested its longevity.
This cover is great. It doesn't allow water through and protects my boat from the elements. I won't try to trailer it because of the loose fit. I would have given it 5 stars but it's really big for my 14 1/2' TriHull.
I bought a type C for my 16ft sailboat. When the boat is stored, the mast lies along the top of the boat. This cover is a very good fit - extends a couple of ft at the back to cover the outboard, overlaps 1 to 2 ft at the sides, and covers the bow despite the mast being in the way.
In terms of quality it's pretty good - feels like it should last a while. It has proper quick-clips on the tie-downs, unlike some cheaper covers which make you tie knots in them.
Well made. Seams sewn securely, straps and buckles good quality and enough to do a good job of securing cover. Fit my 14 ft. fishing boat well with enough extra length to cover the motor. Did not include anything to support cover in center of boat for the cover to shed water rather than allow it to pool. Bowed several sections of half inch PVC and attached to gunwale to provide curve to shed water. Do not have any feedback on how the cover stands up to wind (while towing) or weather after a longer period of time.
bought this 14' hurricane boat cover for a 12' foot Jon Boat. Was pleasantly surprised regarding the quality of it... sewn in straps to hold the cover in place. At 14' it's long enough to cover the motor too. Very satisfied with this purchase.'

Energizer Lithium Aa Batteries
The Energizer L91 Lithium AA cell is a fantastic power source. For high-drain applications, it offers great advantages over ordinary alkaline cell and rechargeable NiMH cell. However, it is also very expensive as a disposable battery. So it is important to recognize the strength of L91, and use it only in applications that give you the best results. Otherwise you'll be wasting your money.
According to data sheet published by Energizer, the capacity of the Lithium AA cell (L91) is 3000mAh. This number remains nearly constant with load current. In comparison, the ordinary Alkaline battery (such as the Energizer E91 AA) is rated as 2800mAh, but only at a very light load of 25mA. At a heavy load of 1000mA (typical for a digital camera or flash unit), its capacity drops to below 1000mAh. This number gets even worse at low temperature. At zero degree C and 1000mA load, the L91 can provide about seven times more energy compared to the E91. This is where the marketing claim of "Last up to 7 times longer" comes from.
When used in a digital camera at room temperature of 25 degree C, the L91 is more likely to last 3-4 times longer than alkaline. This is enough to justify its price, which is also around 3-4 times higher than alkaline. However, in low-drain applications (such as smoke detector, wireless mouse or remote control) alkaline cells will last just as long at a fraction of the cost.
The L91 also contains much higher energy when compared to an ordinary rechargeable NiMH cell such as the Energizer NH15-2500. This is partially due to its higher terminal voltage of 1.5V, which is 20% higher than that for NiMH.
Energy stored in NH15-2500 : 2.5Ah * 1.25V = 3.125Wh,
Energy stored in L91 : 3Ah * 1.5V = 4.5Wh (44% higher).
Higher terminal voltage for L91 is especially advantageous in digital camera applications, because your camera flash will recharge up to 20% faster. An added benefit is that the L91 weighs only 14.5 grams (0.5 oz) each, compared to 30 grams (1 oz) for NiMH. So your camera becomes much lighter.
The NH15-2500, like all ordinary NiMH cells, suffers from rapid self-discharge problem. If you charge up a set of those cells and leave them in your camera for a few weeks, you're likely to be greeted by 'Low Battery' sign when you try to take a photo. The new generation of 'ready-to-use' NiMH cells such as SANYO eneloop and Rayovac Hybrid solved this problem by having very low self discharge rate. But they have lower capacity of only 2000-2100mAh.
Bottom line: If you need AA batteries for a long hiking trip, then L91 is obviously your best choice. For most other situations, I recommend using low self-discharge NiMH cells for lower operating cost. Energizer Ultimate L91BP-4 Lithium AA Battery 4 Pack
The Energizer L92 Lithium AAA cell is a fantastic power source. For high-drain applications, it offers great advantages over ordinary alkaline cell and rechargeable NiMH cell. However, it is also very expensive as a disposable battery. So it is important to recognize the strength of L92, and use it only in applications that give you the best results. Otherwise you'll be wasting your money.
According to data sheet published by Energizer, the capacity of this Lithium AAA cell (L92) is 1200mAh. This number remains nearly constant with load current. In comparison, the ordinary Alkaline battery (such as the Energizer E92) is also rated as 1200mAh, but only at a very light load of 25mA. At a heavy load of 500mA (typical for a P&S digital camera), its capacity is reduced to about one-third. The difference gets even greater at low temperature. At zero degree C and 500mA load, the L92 can provide about seven times more energy compared to the E92. This is where the marketing claim of "Last up to 7 times longer" comes from.
When used in a digital camera at room temperature of 25 degree C, the L92 is more likely to last 3-4 times longer than alkaline. This is enough to justify its price, which is also around 3-4 times higher than alkaline. However, in low-drain applications (such as smoke detector, wireless mouse or remote control) alkaline cells will last just as long at a fraction of the cost.
The L92 also contains much higher energy when compared to rechargeable NiMH cell such as the Sanyo Eneloop AAA. This is partially due to its higher terminal voltage of 1.5V, which is 20% higher than that for NiMH.
Energy stored in eneloop AAA: 0.8Ah * 1.25V = 1.0Wh,
Energy stored in L92 : 1.2Ah * 1.5V = 1.8Wh (80% higher).
Higher terminal voltage for L92 is especially advantageous in digital camera applications, because your camera flash will recharge up to 20% faster. On the other hand, it may create problems with some applications such as unregulated LED flash light. Higher than expected voltage will make the lamp burn brighter, but the excessive heat may also cause the lamp to burn out quickly.
Bottom line: If you need AAA batteries for a long hiking trip or for emergency standby, then L92 is obviously your best choice. For most other situations, I recommend using low self-discharge NiMH cells for lower operating cost.

Note: Amazon has moved two of my previous reviews (one for Energizer Lithium AA 4-pack, one for 8-pack) under one page. Therefore I have to update my review to add some new information - or else I look like a fool who says the same thing twice.
=== New information follows ===
There seems to be some confusion about those Energizer Lithium AA batteries. Several people have bought those batteries under the assumption that they are rechargeable, only to be disappointed later.
Despite the name 'Lithium', those Energizer Lithium AA batteries are very different from the commonly known 'Lithium-ion' rechargeable batteries. Namely:
- They are single-use batteries (NOT rechargeable like Li-ion)
- The terminal voltage for each cell is around 1.65V (compared to around 3.7V for each Li-ion rechargeable cell)
The two types of batteries are not compatible. If your camera accepts AA cells, then you should use those Lithium AA cells and not Li-ion rechargeable battery. Alternatively, you may explore other rechargeable battery options, namely:
1. Low-self-discharge NiMH AA cells, such as Sanyo Eneloop or Sony Cycle Pre-Charged. Those have a operating voltage of 1.25V per cell, so some cameras (especially those that use only two cells) may not operate correctly on those.
2. Nickel-Zinc rechargeable such as PowerGenix AA. Those have higher terminal voltage of 1.65V, same as that of Lithium AA cells. The down-side is that the higher voltage may cause some older cameras to burn out, and the NiZn cells themselves have very poor lifespan.
No matter which rechargeable option you pick, remember that they each need their own special charger. Choosing a good charger is the key to longer lifespan for rechargeable batteries.
I recommend most people to try eneloop cells first. They are the most reliable among NiMH batteries. If it doesn't work well for your camera, you can still use those celll in other appliances such as flashlights or Wii remotes.
Finally, it is a good idea to keep a set of those Lithium AA cells as backup, or in case or emergency. They can be kept in storage for ~10 years!'

3m Respirator - respirator, dust
I've been using 3M's 6000 series halfmask with P100 2091 cartridges. I was still inhaling a lot of gas and smoke because the 6000 series has a vent right in the middle and the only thing separating me from the outside air is a thin rubber membrane in the vent. Not so with this respirator. Notice the shield on the center section. It covers that vent, and it makes a huge difference. I also switched to the P100 2097 cartridge, which has the Nuisance level Organic Vapor protection. Boy, what a difference! I am now unable to smell ANY welding fumes while welding. This respirator is also made of a thicker silicone and has a much more comfortable fit than the 6000 series. All in all, a little more money for a LOT more safety, and it all fits under my welding helmet perfectly. 3M 7500 Series Reusable Half-Facepiece; Model 7502; Size: Medium
....and that's exactly what is supposed to happen when you use a 3M 7500 Respirator....Easy to fit...Comfortable (to a point...sometimes there is bit of conflict when I am wearing eye protection, earmuff style hearing protection and the respirator), but whatever very minor discomfort I experience, I know that my lungs are being protected. I did a lot of research, but what sealed the deal for me was the recommendation of Marc Spagnolo (aka the "Wood Whisperer").
After researching respirators and reading many reviews, I decided to go with this one after reading "MeridethJL's" review. It really does work great. I cant smell a thing and I feel very safe welding now. I also do alot of grinding and it also protects me from breathing in all the particals. It is also very comfortable. I went with the #2097 cartridges. I would recommend this to anyone who does welding or grinding.
I bought this mask and a pair of the pink asbestos quality filters.
First of all I use this in my wood shop after I found out that I have an allergy to exotic woods.
The mask itself fits very very well and is super comfortable. I do wear glasses and have had NO issues in seeing. I would highly recommend this one.
This is an excellent mask, far more comfortable than any other mask I've tried, and none of the usual problems with fogging up my safety glasses when I'm in the workshop. I also have pretty bad pollen allergies and I'm miserable if I work in the yard on a Saturday without protection. I graduated to this one after using a simple mask with replaceable cotton (?) filters. It worked well enough against sawdust and pollen but it was uncomfortable to wear so I didn't tend to use it as much as I should. It seems like with life expectancies getting progressively longer, more and more people end up with some form of cancer. I love my woodworking hobby but I don't want to risk my lungs for it.
By the way, it wasn't apparent to me that the round filters like the 2091 and 2097 attach directly to this facepiece without the need for a housing or cartridge of some type. None of the pictures of the filters I saw while browsing showed the back side where the fitting is located. That is convenient but I would prefer a rigid housing around the filters to help protect them from damage. That's just a personal preference.
I also purchased this mask after seeing a review by "The Wood Whisperer". I currently do not have a dust collection system at my shop and have been using a standard dust mask, which works, well, as well as a dust mask can, it offers some protection, but not much. The 3M 7500 series works GREAT! No air enters through the perimeter as there is a nice sized rubber "gasket" that seals it up between your face. Air is exited through the bottom, so no more steamed up glasses, and it is comfortable to wear. And best of all, it's inexpensive. Great product.
I really enjoy the fit with this facemask. This was a recommended buy from thewoodwhisperer.com and I was not disappointed. The lower strap connects with a hook and loop connector so that I don't have to stretch that across my big head. The seal around the mouth and nose is very comfortable and the exhaled breath is directed downward so that safety glasses are not fogged up. I had to purchase the cartridges separately and I got the organic vapor for finishes and the P100 for dust control.
This is a very good product, but it comes in 3 sizes, and you need to know what size to order. I could not find sizing information on the web, so it would be helpful if sizing information was available.
I got this for around the house use. I recently purchased a house and have lots to do.
I have worn it while putting down new attic insulation. Worked great even in the heat. Didn't slip or fog up my glasses or anything. No problems with coughing or anything afterwards which I always seemed to have problems with those cheap white masks. Also didn't seem to heat me up like those did either, probably since they were against/near face as well as trapping your exhaled air.
Also had a mold and just overall nasty basement bathroom problem. So I donned the mask and went to work with the bleach. With the mask on I didn't smell a thing! Again no breathing issue before, during, or after! Just great! Now working on an upstairs bathroom. Again fiberglass and mold issues. Yep darn right I'm using the mask and no problems! I am very happy with this product and have already recommneded it for others.
Purchase the filters that will cover what you are doing and you will be ready to go. This mask stays well placed on my face with no leaks and doesn't change the way I breath at all. I have turned my head up, down, side to side, upside down, everything. I got the medium and it seems to work well for me. I have a longish face I guess, maybe more oval or rectangle. My head size is average, maybe 7 1/8, 7 1/2 hat size. Not sure how to judge size otherwise? - Filter - Respirator - 3m Respirator - Dust'

Door Hardware - door lock, home security
The quality of these items is indisputable; they are durable and hotel-grade door locks. However, I was extremely disappointed to find that these are NOT for doors with an elevated molding. My back door has a pretty thick (3/4ths of an inch) molding around it and this item will not properly fit doors as such. Both the door and the wall must be flat and at an even surface with each other. National Hardware V804 Door Security Guard, Antique Brass
We were at our wit's end with our, um, "spirited" toddler opening the basement door & trying to sneak into the basement. We didn't want to add a deadbolt; but we had to find something other than those crappy doorknob covers to keep him away from the stairs.
This door guard works great! The door can only be opened a few inches, and it's not as industrial looking as a chain or sliding lock. And the antique brass finish blends nicely with our woodwork and doorknobs/hinges.
It only took a few minutes to put up, and the quality is fantastic. Now, if I could only get the little busybody to sit still for more than 3.2 seconds, I'd be a happy momma!
As a previous reviewer mentioned, this thing will not work unless the door and the frame are exactly flush. Costs too much to return (I'd get back a 1.20 if I paid the 5.20 shipping to return), otherwise feels like a quality product.
I really like this door guard and the colors are a great match for most door equipment. HOWEVER, the screws they include, while color-matched, are so soft that they strip even when installed properly. So, make sure you do it by hand and with a perfectly sized philips head or else... Really should do three stars for that, but it was oterwise solid.
Agree with other reviewers: quality product, but doesn't work with raised molding
Pros:
+++ Sturdy, well-machined all-metal design
+++ Smooth action
+++ Fairly simple to install (though see my notes)
Cons:
--- Screws too small
--- Isn't well designed for raised molding
Like others I discovered challenges with our raised molding -- thus one rating star deduction for lack of clarity about that in the product description. Also, I needed to substitute my own 3" screws for the part that mounted on the door frame -- really, the small screws provided were laughably insufficient. I managed to make it all work, but had some challenges during installation -- I was just barely able to get things properly aligned (lock components, screws, et al).
Bottom line: Solid high-quality product better suited for flat surfaces -- NOT doors with raised molding
If you install this security guard properly, you will never have to argue with your spouse again about those ridiculous door-knob cages that make actually opening the door impossible. We have installed one of these guards on the front door, back door, and on an interior door where tools are kept in the house. Until our toddler learns to climb, these gadgets are a god-send for keeping him contained and from having him walk out into the street.
One of the guards we got seemed to come apart too easily and this was frustrating because some components of it are riveted, but in retrospect we think it broke because we installed it a bit unevenly.
This is the best thing we've found for keeping doors shut and our toddler indoors and out of trouble.
I installed this very easily, and it works very well. The price is affordable, but my biggest complaint is that the screws were TERRIBLE! I nearly stripped about half the screws until I decided to go to the hardware store and pick up some better quality screws. Be careful installing this with the cheap screws, you may end up with stripped screws in your door.
not much to note here, just a lock for under $10. it works, but after a few slam from tryna open it while it locked, one pin fell out, but it still works as a lock. just not for a high security area clearly - Baby Safety - Door Hardware - Home Security - Door Lock'

I am pleased with the quality of the pants, but was disappointed that they did not have cuffs. The Web site indicated that pants through waist size 44 had cuffs. I ordered size 44, but the pants did not have cuffs. Savane Men's Pleated Deep Dye Twill Pant,Black,38W 34L
I have purchased Savane trousers in the past and have always had good luck with durability and comfort. Recently I have not been able to find the brand locally and was glad to find them online. Very good value for money.
Nice pants. Good wrinkle resistance. Good fade resistance. But seem cut large. I ended up having to have them altered. They were too long and almost too big in the waste. They are an inch longer and an inch bigger in the waist than my old pair of Savannes with the same size(32x30). Crotch is too long as well. They are fairly heavyweight material and pick up lint, fuzz etc. pretty easily. I would buy them again but only if I try them on first to verify the fit.
I got two pairs of these pants, one Kaiki and one black. They fit great, look good (my wife loves them on me!)... but, I have a huge issue with the black pair. THEY'RE A LINT MAGNET. Everything attaches itself to this fabric and I have to constantly use a lint brush or I'm full of anything I happen to walk by. Had I known this prior to making my order, I never would have ordered the black pair. I don't seem to have the same trouble with the Kaiki. Nice pants... but.....
I got these pants for my husband's birthday. They were to replace Dockers that were faded. I was so happy to find the right size for him. 32x34. (It is really hard to find that length in such a small waist.) They were quite a bit cheaper than Dockers, which I have had the problem of fading. They looked nice when I opened them, Nice dark rich color. I was a little worried he might not like them because they were not Dockers. He really likes the way they feel on and look. I like the fact they come out of the dryer ready to wear. They look pressed without it!!!! I'm hopeful the bottem won't show wear as other reviews suggested. I also like the fact I can usually go to Amazon and find just about anything I am looking for at a deceit price and shipping. The card I gave can't be activated because the recipient pulled off a sticker that had that activation code. Giftcardmall's customer service on the phone are terrible and they won't activate it. They don't care...they want me to activate it online or they can't help. Their online site can't help either unless you have the code from the sticker.
Basically, buy this card if you don't mind throwing away the money. The Home Depot Traditional Gift Card
I ordered this gift card on 11/29/10. Today is 12/20/10, nearly a month later, and the gift card still has not arrived. I ordered it as a Christmas gift, but seeing as how Christmas is in 5 days, I highly doubt I'll actually get to give this gift.
I've contacted Gift Card Mall twice now. Both responses that I received were identical and did not address my question. I was told that UPS had a tracking error, which is why I was unable to view tracking information for my item. That's fine. But shouldn't the seller be able to tell me why the delivery estimate was 12/6 - 12/9, and here it is, 11 days after the latest estimated delivery date, and still no gift card?
Long story short, I will never purchase another item from this seller again. I chose to purchase it through Amazon so I could use my store card, but in the future, I'll just go to the actual store myself and pay cash.
I've read reviews about this product, people have had problems with activation & such, but I ordered 3 and they came pre-activated. NO EXTRA WORK ON MY PART. Received it in the mail and the document said, "Card is Activated". Took it to Home Depot & used it just like cash, I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. Subsequently I've purchased 3 more cards, just makes things easier, I know what I need, I have the cards I don't need to bring the wallet etc. Quick, easy & efficient. I had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS when I checked out. When I first got the card I read the reviews & thought maybe I'd have a problem, so I brought the paper the card came attached with it in the envelope, but had no need for it. I told the woman, "I have a gift card", she replied, "that's no problem". So quick and efficient. I've read some of the revies about problems with activation etc, but it seems Home depot realized there was a problem, dealt with it & now the cards come pre-activated. The perfect gift for anyone moving into a new apartment or house or dorm. Paint, anything, so many options. I'll be purchasing more. Furthermore, I don't know which Home Depot are shopping at but the one here in mid-town Manhattan, NYC, is phenomenal. Everyone 'knows there products & area' they're assigned to, courteous friendly and knowledgeable is the feeling I came away with. Great card and so, so, so many options. I was like a kid in a candy store, I wanted to buy everything. LOL.. If only I had that kind of money.
I hope people stop shopping here this is the worst place to shop the people you talk to don't know what they are talking about the managers are useless and rude overall worst place not to mention the cheap products they sell. LOWE'S is way much better and from what I heard they even treat their employees better way to go Home Crappy Depot. - Ebook - E-reader - Gift Card - Kindle Devices'
