Book Recommendations - fantasy, magic
Many stories have striven to catch the minds of its readers, or its listeners for that matter. From the beginning of time people have made daring attempts at concocting amusing and diverting tales, but J.K. Rowling has spun a most convincing story. Since the introduction of Harry Potter to the public, thousands upon thousands, undoubtedly millions, of every race, age, and religion, have fallen under his spell. After reading the fourth, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Finished it in less than three days; I couldn't put it down!), I have to let it be know that Ms. Rowling does not disappoint. As every preceding Potter book starts off, the newest is no different: Harry is staying with his insufferable relatives, the Dursleys. And as always, he has found a new, more creative and exciting means of shortening his summer stay with his Aunt, Uncle, and cousin. Trouble invariably manages to find Harry, even at his seemingly secure refuge. Lord Volde-- oh, goodness, excuse me!-- he-who-must-not-be-named is at his strongest, and Harry is facing greater risk than ever before. This is Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts, and he is now fourteen years old. So along with life-threatening situations, almost losing a best friend, meeting new foes, dealing with old ones- namely Professor Snape and Draco Malfoy, and managing to get most of his homework done, Potter must also deal with the anguish and misery of being a teenager. Take it from me, I'm seventeen years old, and it's hard for me to believe that J.K. Rowling hasn't just experienced the cruelty of peers and at the same time, the exciting prospects that come with the whole "Being a Teen" package. Fearing that I might give too much away, I'll leave you with this tidbit: You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll learn how to pronounce Hermione, but most importantly, you'll want to read more, and become a better person because of it. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Book 4)
I had read the first 3 novels In the Harry Potter series and had found them extremely enjoyable page turners, Rowling creates a complete, magical world and her characters are always perfectly developed: You cheer when Harry stands up to Snape, You scowl inside when Malfoy turns up and you feel safe and secure when Dumbledore's around. But quite simply, the extrodinary and sensational "Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire" leaves the previous books In the dust. From the opening chapter you realise this Isn't going to be your average Harry Potter book, a character suspected of murder Is himself murdered at the hands of Lord Voldemort. I had always felt a Harry potter novel didn't get exciting until the story reached Hogwarts, this time Harry, Ron and Hermione travel to see a Qudditch World Cup which doesen't leave you dosing off waiting for the Hogwarts Express. But from then on the pace becomes consistently quicker, Harry's name Is put In a "Goblet Of Fire" which chooses contestants for a tournament involving other schools of witchcraft and wizardry. Harry is helped throughout the tournament by a new teacher "Mad Eye Moody" someone who you begin to trust throughout the story. Harry makes his way through the tournament tasks and unexpectactly finds himself face to face with Lord Voldemort, resulting In the death of not a prominant, but significant character. By the end things have got so messy you can only cringe at the things which are no doubt to come. This Is by far the most compelling instalment In the series. I've read critics complain Rowling Is writing directly at a more adult audience, this Is definetely not the case; For a start, Rowling already holds a huge adult audience with these books, parents enjoy them just as much as their children, also (like Harry himself) Rowling's prime audience of 8 to 12 year olds are growing up as well, I think It's fitting that children can grow up with these stories as they themselves become more mature. Although for especially young children of anyone under seven, parents should defineteley read along, the last hundred or so pages can be frightning and sometimes shocking. And as Dumbledore explains the stories events to Harry (and readers) Rowling has you flipping back hundreds of pages to realise just how intricately intwined the plot really Is. Simply an amazing read from cover to cover, "The Goblet Of Fire" Is to the previous Instalments what "The Empire Strikes Back" was to "Star Wars", It gives the series deeper meaning and makes an already enjoying tale Into something better than you thought It could be.
What can I say about such an overly hyped book as this? Only that is was well worth the wait! For all of you who have never read any of the Potter books (could there really be people who haven't read at least one?) think of these books as a series of magical mysteries. It's life as usual for Harry at the beginning of the book, which has him spending yet another dreadful summer with his hateful guardians, the Dursleys. (Imagine Dudley Dursley on a diet! Try saying that 3 times fast...) Things pick up when Harry goes to the Quiddich World Cup with the Weasleys. And life at Hogwarts is as interesting (and occasionally dangerous) as always with it's oddball assortment of students and professors. Naturally, there is a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher (my but they do keep going through them, don't they?) Along the way, we will learn about other schools like Hogwarts (it's about time!) And a new villain - or should I say villainess - is introduced. Someone who definately keeps Harry on his toes. All the while Harry and his 2 best friends, Ron and Hermione, become entangled with the mystery of The Goblet of Fire....With characteristic abandon, Rowling creates familiar busy backdrop for Harry and friends as she pushes him through a series of terrifying encounters, the usual mischief and mayhem, new revelations (and, of course, rousing games of Quidditch) It's delightful to see how Rowling can stay true to the feel of the previous books, and yet allow Harry and friends to mature (ex: As the kids are officially teenagers now, hormones will kick in for Harry, Ron and Hermione... but they all fall in love with the wrong people! Harry especially has some difficulties in this area.)Be prepared: this is a darker book than the first 3. Some well known characters die -- one of whom is well liked by readers. The ending of the book is frightening compaired to the previos books but is a necessary evil for Harry as the older he gets, the more he learns about his past. JK Rowling has stated that each new book gets progressively darker so as to tie in with the overall plot. As always she writes with a deft touch. This deliciously suspenseful novel is every bit as gripping and imaginative as the previous books -- full of unexpected twists and turns. A delight to be savored, especially you are, like me, already awaiting the next one. - Magic - Fiction - Jk Rowling - Fantasy'

Bellydance Wear - hip scarf, bellydance wear
This hip scarf is really pretty. I bought it for a class that I'm taking. Its is very pretty but the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the actual fabric the coins are attached to is very delicate. I can see myself poking my finger through it while trying to tie it on. Overall, a good buy. BellyLady Belly Dance Hip Scarf, Gold Coins Waves Style, Tote Bag Included
The picture is a little deceiving because the gold circles you see are not little pieces of metal but are plastic-type confetti things.. not really sure how to describe it.. but they don't really make any sound.. there are some pieces that clank together to make a sound but with the proper movements.. it just doesn't feel right.. but it looks super pretty!
I love that this scarf has a lot of coins attached so it makes a pleasing amount of noise when dancing. The pink is a very nice color and it appears to be constructed well. Including a tote bag is a nice touch, too.
THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE IT BUT THE ONLY THING IS I THOUGHT IT WAS BLACK I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED BLACK TO MATCH THE PANTS SO I'M TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE COLOR OF THE SCARF I DON'T LIKE THAT COLOR SORRY BUT OTHER THAN THAT I LOVE THE COINS AND STYE OF IT THANKS AGAIN IF YOU HAVE A BLACK ONE WITH GOLD COINS PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP! THANK AGAIN SELLER!
I didn't care for this coin scarf because it looked cheap in my opinion. Lots of coins but not very stylish. Gave it another dancer who was happy to have it and thought it was cute. Probably being nice because she was getting it for free. LOL
Love this hip scarf! Flashes well when dancing and sounds great. I tie mine very tight and have never had any issues with tearing. I use it for a zumba class and it has taken a lot already and is working very well. bought one for my instructor and she loves it also. I wasn't expecting it to be such a HOT pink But I am very happy with the color! :-)
Out of all my scarves this is by far my favorite. the color is exceptional the the intricate crochet and pailettes v-pattern is stunning. the pictures do not to them justice and lets admit the pictures are beautiful, but in person, well, breathtaking. i love it! my teacher insisted we "trade" lol yeah right! you will not be disappointed with this belly dance hip scarf! - Bellydance Wear - Hip Scarf - Costume - Belly Dance'

Survival Horror - zombies, video games
Wow was I amazed! Try it, even if you do have the gamecube version. To me, this is worth the money and time.
Leon S. Kennedy is back and it's been six years later. The president ordered him to rescue the president's daughter from a religious group. This is most likely a survival horror game mixed with action and stategy.
The graphics on the PS2 is a little different. The texture isn't as good and it looks more darker. Still it's pretty good compared to the gamecube version.
The controls is excellent. It may be a little hard to get use to especially if you played the gamecube version. It gives you behind the shoulder look of Leon so you know where to shoot better than the other RE games. The laser device is nice as well because you can shoot at different parts of the body. You can also use knife attacks and kick your enemies as well. Make sure you find the weak spot!
You can't even relax during the cutscenes! You might have to either dodge, sprint, or somehow get out of trouble. Besides killing all of these ganados (Spanish villagers), you have to protect Ashley from getting killed or captured. If so, game over. You can also buy weapons and other items from a mysterious merchant and can upgrade as well. Too bad there is no weapon swap. The ganados have different ways to attack either with a scythe, dynamite, axe, or choke you to death! There is even chainsaw ganados! Many more enemies are introduced later on in the game. The bosses also are challenging and better than ever! There are some puzzles introduced to advance the plot. There are no typewriter ribbons. There is probably more things to point out but we need to talk about the extras!
Extras in the game such as Separate Ways. Which you play as Ada Wong and you play the same time and same place as Leon. There is no switching to characters but that's ok. There are more cutscenes and few more hours for you to enjoy. The new grapple gun is introduced which is a nice feature. It helps you get around to out of reach places as well. New weapons are here such as a laser gun which can kill enemies pretty easily and can stun them. The costumes are useful and pretty cool to say so myself. Leon looks like a detective and looks mysterious like. Ashley has a suit of armor which is a good thing. It can protect herself from gunshots or get killed in any other way. These extras can be obtained if you beat the game once. Extras from the gamecube version are also on here. The Mercenaries where you have to kill enemies to score points and unlock characters. You can even get an unlockable weapon. The Handcannon in the main game! There is also Assignment Ada where you play as Ada Wong collecting five plaga samples and mostly avoid enemies instead of shooting them. Heavy item managment is a must. There is no knife attacks so use guns! More costumes, unlockable weapons, professional mode where enemies are challenging than normal mode. Another round where you have all of your possesions from the previous file. Last but not least, a movie browser where you can view cutscenes from the game and Seperate Ways.
Overall, it's a great game. Especially for the PS2. Play it, even if you have the gamecube version. Since there is more features into this. Great job to Masachika Kawata and the others. If you don't have the gamecube version, here is your chance! I played the game through about 20-25 hours including the extras.
Elizabeth Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4 is a sequel to the infamous Resident Evil series. This game completely changes the way that so many Resident Evil fans were used to. This is a good thing, however. This is the Playstation 2 version. While the graphics aren't as good as they were on the Gamecube, it more than makes up for it in the extras. That being said, let's proceed to the actual review.
Warning: The following contain spoilers for the game
Graphics 10/10
The graphics in Resident Evil 4 are absolutely phenomenal. This game has some of the best graphics the PS2 can offer. Some of these examples are that the there are many forms of trees in the game, and they are so different that you'll think that you're seeing a new tree each time. Each and every enemy has a detailed body. The blood splatters from the enemies, and Leon has at least fifteen or more ways to die. Leon is very detailed and almost any scene or cut-scene is photo realistic. They have an extreme amount of detail in each cut-scene. The environments are also awesome. Some very memorable environments are the lava room, the castle, the military base, and more. With a wide-screen HDTV and some component cables with progressive scan, These are some of the best graphics in video game history.
Gameplay 10/10
The gameplay is extremely different than the previous resident evils in a very good way. Some of the differences are: there is no longer a camera that is switching views, the new camera is positioned over your shoulder and you can control it with the right analog stick. You can save at the many stationed typewriters in the game and you can have up to 20 saves for the game. You can use the knife at will, and the camera, instead of taking you into a first-person perspective, lets you control it from a third-person perspective. You also have an attach? case that you put your guns in. You flip and flop things so that everything fits. You can also purchase extensions to you attach? case from the merchant. You find pesetas and those are your form of currency and money that you can use to purchase things from the merchants. Merchants are found throughout the game and let you sell your items, buy items, and you can even custom tune-up your guns. There are some types of guns. Some of these types are handgun, shotgun, rifle, magnum, grenade, machine gun, and special. Tuning them up ranges from increasing their capacity, upgrading their firepower, reducing their reloading speed, and increasing their fire rates. Once you upgrade a gun fully it has an exclusive. All but one gun, the killer7, has an excusive. You can't purchase ammo from the merchant, so use your ammo wisely. Most guns have a laser targeting system, and rifles and rocket-launchers take you into the firs-person perspective. There are 3 types of grenades, flash grenades which allow you to temporarily blind your foe, Incendiary grenades which set your opponent(s) on fire, and regular grenades that blow stuff up. Some of the cut-scenes are now interactive, and you use the [ ] and X buttons/ the L1 and R1 buttons to dodge certain things, hang on to or climb ledges, cut/stab things, etc. Thanks to the new aiming system, if you shoot enemies in the kneecap, they crouch so that you can suplex them, and if you shoot the in the head they also crouch so you can kick them. These features are only useable by the protagonist of this game, Leon. You can also do different things with different people. Another great feature that this game introduces is combining health and treasure items. Also, this game has the puzzles that made the previous Resident Evil games so respected. There are also a huge variety of things you do in this game. You ride a jet ski, a mine cart, a boat, and you fight as sea monster, battle with gigantic monsters, fight with a 10 foot Ganado, fight blind prisoners with claws, fight regenerating monsters that have specific parasites that you need to destroy to kill that enemy, gigantic mosquitoes, protect Ashley while she does things, and more.
Story 9/10
The story isn't as deep if it were compared to a game with a story that was a masterpieces such as Metal Gear Solid, but it is still very enjoyable. Basically, you play as Leon Scott Kennedy, often referred as Leon, is the main character and was also in Resident Evil 2. The story of Resident Evil 2 was that 6 years ago, a virus broke out and happened by a company called Umbrella. The U.S. Government decided that it didn't want this information to go public, so they fired off nuclear missiles and Raccoon city and its epidemic were finished. However there were some survivors. And Leon Scott Kennedy just happened to have survived the incident. Now, he's a government agent and his mission is to rescue the president's daughter, Ashley Graham. Will he succeed? You decide.
Sound 9/10
The sound in this game is also excellent. The sound is also very realistic. The crows crow, the wind makes the leaves blow, the ganados shout out Spanish cries, you can hear the chainsaw reving up, etc. etc. You also tend to depend on the sound to see where and when the enemies will attack you.The voice acting is also very professional. They have the voice talents of Paul Mercier as Leon Scott Kennedy, Carolyn Lawrence as Ashley Graham, Sally Cahill as Ada Wong, Jim Wardlngrid as Jack Krauser, Salli Saffioti as Ingrid Hunnigan, Rene Mujica as Ramon Salazar, Jesse CortiJack as Bitores Mendez, Michael GoughAlbert as Osmund Saddler, Richard Waugh as Albert Wesker, and Carlos Carrasco as the Villagers/Zealots. This game also supports dolby digital 5.1 surround sound.
Replay Value 10/10
This game has a huge amount of replay value. You can unlock an R.P.D. Police Uniform by beating the game. Ashley also has a pop-star outfit that you unlock after beating the game. The infinite rocket launcher also becomes available when you beat the game and it costs 1,000,000 pesetas. There is also a handgun that you can purchase called the matilda and it costs 70,000 pesetas. You also unlock Assignment Ada, a mode that is non-canon and covers the later part of the game and lets you play as Ada, and Separate Ways, a mode that is canon and lets you play from the beginning to the end of Ada's mission. Beating Separate ways lets you buy the Chicago Typewriter, a SMG mostly used in WWII, for 1,000,000 pesetas. You can only buy the Chicago Typewriter on a second playthrough. It has infinite ammo. Also, if you beat Separate Ways you get the Mafia gangster oufit for Leon and the indestructible knight outfit for Ashley. Ashley can't get carried away in this outfit and Leon can do a special hat trick if he has the Chicago Typewriter equipped. To do this trick, reload 4 times consecutively and he will do the hat trick. If you beat Assignment Ada you can buy the Chicago Typewriter in Separate Ways for 300,000 pesetas and it is only available on a second playthrough. There is also a mode called Mercenaries, and that lets you kill enemies and try to get a high score of 60,000 or above points to get five stars. This game is so fun, it could be a game in itself! There are five characters, and they are Leon, Ada, Wesker, Krauser, and Hunk. They all have unique abilities. There are also four maps and they are the village, the castle, the military base, and waterworld. Getting five stars with all of the characters on all maps allows you to purchase the handcannon for zero pesetas. You can upgrade it and its exclusive is that it can have infinite ammo. There is also a pro mode that is unlocked after beating the main game. After beating pro mode, you can buy for zero pesetas, the P.R.L. 412. The P.R.L. stands for Parasite Removal Laser.
Conclusion
Buy or rent, that is the question. I say buy because it has amazing graphics, gameplay, story, sound, and replay value. It will probably last you forty to fifty hours.
Overall 10/10

Headphone Accessories - audio cables, audio splitter
So to recap:
Dirt cheap
Flexible
extremely easy to use
Diminishes volume? Not too badly.
DOES preserve stereo separation! I'm mixing a song right now through these splitters and while panning back and forth, my headphones respond as if the splitter weren't in at all. It doesn't turn stereo to mono despite what that one guy said. And yes, I've got two pairs of headphones plugged in.
I discovered that if both sets of headphones plugged into the splitter aren't firmly plugged in, it will do the stereo to mono thing, but if you click them in properly, you're fine. Belkin F8V234-WHT Speaker and Headphone Splitter
does the job and no complaints. These type of splitters are ideal because you don't have to worry about it breaking from bending. I purchased a splitter before that wasn't wired, just a solid unit, and it broke from bending too much.
As other reviewers have noted (and I've taken this into account for purchasing), the volume drops across both outputs since the signal is split -- not a big concern for me, but on some setups this may result in an unhappy amount of line noise when you have to crank source volumes to compensate.
I use this because I have a stereo deck (with high-quality Sony MDR-V900s attached) and a Plantronics headset I use for recording video tutorials and such on my computer. I didn't want to actively have to toggle back-and-forth, since that'd impede my workflow: my use case is swapping between headsets quickly, and this Belkin splitter is a tidy little solution!
This is a fantastic piece of audio equipment. Not only is it great for sharing audio with two headphones, but it's also great giving sound to both my computer speakers and the TV I have connected to my computer. I get a full, rich sound on both sets of speakers and in headphones.
Definitely a must buy for people looking to share sound between 2 speakers or headsets.
I got these as my secondary splitters, but since my other ones haven't come in yet, I decided to use these. While sitting on the bus with my friend, we were both able to listen to my ipod comfortably, and were able to sing together. These work great, and turning up the volume is only needed if one person like the volume higher than the other person sets it.
I got this to split off the headphones/ear buds for a portable DVD player on flights. It works great and is easy to pack. Just make sure the headphones/ear buds are of the same sensitivity (i.e. 90dB). If not, one set will be louder than the other. For example, I have a cheap pair that came with my Sansa and my wife just prefers the ones that came with her iPod (which are terrible by the way) and she can barely hear anything while I'm laughing away at the movie. So, the Sansa ones are a lot louder than the iPod ones. Therefore, they have different sensitivity ratings and really are not compatible when used this way. If you buy this splitter I would suggest testing both sets of headphones/ear buds first.
This is just a quick review to say the stereo system is absolutely working and the sound quality is almost the same I had with my not-so-pricey ear-buds. I was almost thinking of not buying this because of that false 1-star review which apparently was most helpful. I don't know what kind of problem he/she had but I just tested it with Sony test video and it works.
My problem was that I could not record streaming audio on my PC because Dell does not present the stereo mix as one of the recording device options. There are lots of free apps available for downloading streaming audio(to record internet radio for example - only where legal of course), but with many Dell PCs these apps dont work. So... I bought this belkin splitter for less than $4. I plugged the main splitter lead into the sound card out and the speaker cable into one of the splitters, and I plugged an audio cable from the other end of the splitter to the mic jack on the front of my pc. Bingo - now I can listen and record at the same time. Then I move the mp3 files to my kindle. There are many problems with playing said files on the kindle but still, it works. - Belkin - Audio Cables - Y Cable - Audio Splitter'

Organic Food - oil, health food
I am trying my best to eliminate plastic from my purchases, especially when it comes to food products. I think this is only one of two brands I've come across in my search that packages hemp oil in glass bottles.
I had another brand of hemp oil sold in a plastic container. There is a definite difference in taste, compared to the hemp oil in a glass bottle. I much prefer the taste of the hemp oil in a glass bottle.
Keep this organic oil refrigerated after you open the bottle.
I use it on salads. I do not use it for frying or sauteing.
I've learned that any oil at high heat becomes a transfat...yes, that evil transfat. I now only use ghee (clarified butter) or organic coconut oil for any frying or any baking. Every other oil I use, (hemp, olive, walnut, avocado) I use only for seasoning or in salads.
This product was shipped to me exceptionally well-packaged and securely wrapped. Each bottle was individually wrapped and cushioned in bubble wrap, within a box that was additionally cushioned all around in more bubble wrap. Perfect.
When I run out, I will certainly buy this product from the same Seller who gave excellent customer service. TWO GLASS BOTTLES of Nutiva Hemp Oil 16oz
Highly recommended for your nutritional balance by www.sustainable-wellness.com. I use it everyday on my salads, beans, miso soups and steamed veggies! It adds a nutty and warm flavor to my meals. Yummmmmm! It's an excellent source of omega 3s EFA! - Health Food - Organic Food - Oil'

Its very simple and quite pretty. I have gotten many complements on it. The writing is a little hard to read but I know what it says and thats all that matters to me. The chain is nice. I wear it with the cat and words facing out. I would purchase it again and for someone else. I could do without the paw print side. Sterling Silver "In A Purrfect World Every Cat Would Have A Home And Every Home Would Have A Cat" Reversible Pendant with Cat, 18"
As a major "Cat Person", I wanted a cat themed necklace and searched through many different ones for sale on Amazon. This one had the best reviews, best price, and didn't look like something a teenager would wear. So, I bought this for myself and received it yesterday. As a previous poster mentioned, it was even prettier than I was expecting. The pendant itself is smaller than I thought it would be, but it's actually the perfect size. The chain it comes on is a great length too. It shines, and I acutally like the paw on the back side. I will probably alternate which side I wear it on. The words on it are near and dear to me, and I would say any cat lover would adore this necklace. :)
I got it today and it's even more pretty than what I thought when I bought it. The letters might be a little bit faded out, but I agree with the other person who reviewed it: you know what it says and that's why it is special for you :)
I'm going to wear very, very often, I love it! :) - Kitty'

Media Storage - lightscribe, media storage
I've had good results with other Verbatim LightScribe discs, but I won't use the colored discs again. They looked terrific when I first burned them, but after about two weeks the images started to fade and blur - even on discs that were stored indoors and out of sunlight. Verbatim 95092 700 MB 52x LightScribe Gold Recordable Discs CD-R, 20-Disc Slim Case
I used to mark my disks with glue on labels. Well after making hundreds of labels they all went bad because of the glue, the ink, or the blank media. It took about a year and a half for the disks to go bad. I really did not know what caused it, but they were slowly ruined as if on a time table. They all sounded as if they were off balance when spinning in the drive and the sound would come out all garbled. Thankfully they were all music and not data. Anyways it was a big disappointment for me losing all that music.
So I started over using a "Sharpie" to mark my disks. A Sharpie is a permanent ink marking pen. The disks were pretty boring looking but at least I felt as though I was safe and the disks would last.
Well I bought a HP computer that had the Lightscribe feature. It was an inexpensive add on. I was blown away by the quality of the finished product. I use the Lightscribe software (it cost me $12 but I think I got it at a discount because I bought the computer) that is very easy to use and very versatile. I have made probably 50 disks so far and no two look the same. I can insert my own images or pictures, background or fonts or use the templates that came with the LightScribe Software. The results look fantastic. It takes about 30 minutes to Scribe a disk but all the information is on the disk. A picture of the CD cover or a picture of the artist, all the songs and a beautiful background of my choosing. They can make very professional looking presentations if you are in business, they are not just for music. You can run other applications while you are burning so I really don't mind the time it takes to burn them. I am sure this is a medium that will only get better and better in the next ten years. Color Lightscribe disks are a way off in the future though.
Thanks,
Bill
There is nothing in particular that I can find wrong with this media. In fact, standalone, the media if great. My problem is being misled by my Amazon.com search. I input a search for labelflash and this media came up; leading me to believe that it worked with a labelflash drive. No. It ONLY works on lightscribe drives. I am only writing this review so that 1) Amazon can change their tagging so others won't be misled and 2) If Amazon does not change their tagging, others will not fall into the same trap that I did.
I really must say that these lightscribe enabled discs are great. You really can make professional looking labels easily. (...)
It's super easy to use, just select any image to use as a background, add some text, add some text effects if you want, choose fonts, arrange the layout and burn. It takes about 30-40 minutes to burn a full label (with some text and a full-color image as a background).
The discs have a gold-colored backing that allows for the lightscribe writer to burn an image. The quality is great in that the gray-scale seems to have all shades of gray. You can burn images of people (friends, music singers) and it looks great.
My only wish is that in the future they come out with silver backed discs. Unless of course for some reason the gold-colored backing is a necessity. I would also expect that the time it takes to burn will decrease with future models.
Good product, what makes it especially nice is that no additional supplies are needed; however, you MUST have a LightScribe enabled drive.
This is NOT compatible with "Labelflash"!
LightScribe is an excellent way to provide permanent, good-looking labels that neither wrinkle nor come off in a disk reader.
The time to make a label depends on the amount and complexity of the information, it could be v e r y long.
These discs are just super to work with. The software I have has some interesting options to make very snappy looking labelling for presentations or for sales. I bought an HP with Lightscribe built in to the DVD/CD burner and have been burning ever since. Your information is inscribed into the CD meaning you can find another use for those black laundry markers and for those paper labels which tend to get expensive and are just one thing to figure out. What could be more easy than flipping a CD over and reinserting it to burn in the labelling?
The larger the format and the more intricate the design, the longer it takes to create but it goes very fast in a smaller scale. Just to experiment, I did a very large involved design which took 20 minutes. Others have taken much much less.
The price isn't objectionable as these are high-quality discs which I find essential when I'm copying photographs then deleting them from the memory card. I don't trust many of the cheaper brands to preserve what's so important to me. - Lightscribe - Media Storage'

Purchased for my 7 year old, it's been a huge hit. He's been wearing it constantly. Beautiful dark blue and came with bonus slipper socks to match, it's a must have. He's worn it as a robe to walk around in, and 'backward' to wrap up in while playing video games. Soft, thin, fleece material, just like the adult ones. This is pretty good sized for a child, which is good, he will get allot of use out of it. We have an adult snugglie, and as thin as the fleece is, it's very warm. I would buy another one of these as a gift. Snuggie For Kids - Blue
This is a product made from very inferior material that not only is thin but leaves hunks of lint everywhere - even after being washed numerous times. Buying this product was truly a waste of money. Spending the purchae price of this product for a blanket is a much wiser investment. Don't waste your money on this!
My grandsons wanted this for Christmas so I delivered. One of them loves it and the other doesn't. Isaiah does not like the feel of the material so he gave his to his older brother. Most kids will love it but if you have one who is picky about the feel of his clothes he/she will probably not like the feel of a snuggie. I also found it $5. cheaper at my local Walgreens after buying from Amazon.
I love the concept of the Snuggie. In fact I have a plush Snuggie that I got at Costco and I love it; however, the very first day, it got a hole in it. This snugglette is much lower quality. The kids love it but the quality is just not there. After the very first washing, it started to fall apart.
We ordered both this blue Snuggie and the pink one. They are both described as exactly the same thing and were ordered from the same seller, yet when we received them they were distinctly different. First of all, the the blue one was boxed as in the picture; the pink one arrived in essentially a well-sealed dark plastic bag. However, the blue one is noticeably inferior to the pink one we received...the fabric is visibly thinner and not at all as "cozy" as the picture portrays. It's really pretty embarrasing given that these were Christmas gifts. Both have been through the wash and have held up fine, but really, this blue one does look like a rag relative to the other. A very disappointing lack of quality control from the seller.
I purchase this snuggie blanket for my grandson birthday, and he love it.This product is great nice and warm and came with booties and I also got it at a great price.I highly recommend this snuggie blanket.
My daughter loves this product. The only thing I was a little upset with is the free booties had a hole in one. It wasn't that big of a deal, so I didn't exchange it. But on the whole a wonderful product worth every penny to see the smile on my daughters face. - Christmas - Blanket With Sleeves - Fleece - Bundle Me'

Manduka Yoga Mat - yoga accessories, yoga mat
I disagree with the other person who reviewed this product. This towel is so much better than a regular hand towel during my 90 minute hatha yoga classes. I get pretty sweaty and the towel is super absorbent...it does not become heavy and wet like a regular hand towel. Manduka eQua Hand Towel (Thunder)
This little towel is a handy portable size and pretty color, but it's so soft that it is pretty useless as a towel rather than an accessory. Imagine wiping velvet across your sweaty face - it just makes you feel gross and even a bit hotter. I tried blotting, but that was no good either.
I bought this towel along with the full size to put over my yoga mat. I use it to wipe my face during yoga. I loved it so much that I bought another to use whenever I do activities and sweat (dance and tennis). It absorbs the sweat really well and is much better than a hand towel. Sometimes I put it down in the car if I'm sweaty on my drive home. I think it absorbs better if you don't use fabric softener when you wash it....
I take power yoga in a heated room and prior to purchasing this I just used a washcloth from home to wipe sweat off my face. This soaks up the sweat so much better. It is an odd feeling if your used to just a normal hand towel but it is really obsorbant and does not get overly wet during class. Highly recomend this hand towel as well as the skidless large towel to put over your mat if you are taking a hot yoga class.
Love this towel! Great color, very soft and absorbent. I do hot yoga and this towel grips better with the Manduka black mat than yogitoes. It bunches a little but no more than yogitoes and doesn't interfere with my practice. Washes well with no fading or bleeding.
This towel is easy to pack and carry, lightweight and absorbent. The mat doesn't have the non-skid silicone feet that some other mat towels have, but it seems to do a fine job, especially after it gets a little damp.
I bought this product because my favorite yoga hand towels by Luminaire are no longer available. This towel is a complement to the larger one I bought. It's the perfect size, 'fluffy',absorbent and just as lightweight and easy to care for as my old ones. I do Bikram Yoga so I need a hand towel to wipe my face and neck during the class. It absorbs like there is no tomorrow, and stands up to regular washing. A perfect yoga hand towel.
Excellent product. I bought this for the job as I work at the shipyard and when the sun beats down on a metal ship, things start to bake at VERY high temperatures. I dont go anywhere without this thing in my back pocket. It literally sucks the sweat off my skin whilst still being gentle and stays dry all day even when you mop up your wet face.
If it can handle that, I am sure it can handle a simple workout at home.
I thought this towel was going to be something special but it's just a microfiber towel with the Manduka logo. It's priced a little higher than what I'd value it at but nothing extravagant. Get it if you're into name brands or save three to five dollars and buy a generic towel.
Pros -
Area, larger than a typical hand towel
Thickness, easily stowable
Neutral -
Texture, it's soft but I feel like I'm going to wash my car when I pick it up.
Con -
Cost, costs 20 - 33% more than comparable towels. - Yoga Mat - Yoga Accessories - Yoga - Bikram'

Fishing Chair With Rod - camping, folding chair
I got this item, and at first glance was not impressed. It just seems like a lot of stuff crammed together and just appeared like it might have been a simple construct. And I suppose it is pretty simple when I think about it. But after using it twice now, it is a life saver! I fish at a place where you have to climb down a rocky dam to get to the water's edge. This chair was a life saver in that I took my small tackle container and carried it in the pouch, had my drinks in the ice chest, stuck my net into the pouch and put this puppy on my back. When I was done I still had one hand free for the walk. The reclining option is GREAT for long fishing days and just relaxing. I will be buying another...because the wife tries to snag this one constantly! Very happy! *****The pole holder is hidden in the pouch when you receive this. At first glance it looks like they forgot the holder - so check the pockets for it before you assume the same like I did**** Oasis DELUXE BACKPACK FISHING CHAIR w/ ROD HOLDER & BOTTLE HOLDER-5 YEARS WARRANTY-High Quality Product.. They look great and are really cute but not durable at all. I had them for a few days before the plastic in the ears cracked and broke...they are still in one piece but I'm afraid to wear them. I don't really want them to fall apart... Cat Ears and Tail Fox Fur
This item worked well as a gray squirrel ears and tail. My daugther (in the 4th grade) needed to do a report on the state mammal which is the gray squirrel. She dressed as a squirrel and did a song and dance. It was good enough to get her an A. - Cosplay'
