Wizard Of Oz

My granddaughters, ages 3 1/2 & 5, really enjoy playing with this dress up set. Clothes are easy for them to put on by themselves, and their imaginations run wild as they "act out" the Wizard of Oz. This is a good product for the money. Set contains three outfits with many accessories. Only drawback is the articles of clothing are somewhat small. This would not be recommended for over age 5 as I believe the clothing would be too little. An argument usually erupts over the one pair of ruby slippers. But, some days you want to be the good witch, and some days the bad!! Wizard Oz Dress up Trunk

This is complete junk. The clothes are more of scraps of material that you piece together than clothes - you can't really tell this in the photo unless you study it. My child is 3 years old and has a small, slender build and the clothes barely fit her. The 'cute' storage truck is some cardborard stock you fold to put together, which doesn't seemed designed to stay together on it's own. Also, there's no photo on the trunk. Buy something else!

I ended up buying another set of costumes....too many bits to the outfits (frustrating for little ones trying to keep it all together), shoes not the safest for 3yr olds - one of the hats too big the other too small.Pity as the concept is great sadly though quality definitely not worth the $20. My 3yr old is slim and these costumes are too small on her.

Lastly the trunk that it comes with does not stay together unless you use a lot of tape.Hope this review helps - if I had someone giving me a heads up about this product I definitely would have thought twice.

Thank goodness my 3 year old is slim and even then the pieces are small. The pieces are also not well made and for $30 I could buy 2 quality disney or barbie costumes. She loves wizard of oz and thinks this dress-up trunk is very fun. She is frustrated by the way the costumes work with the sleeves being separate.

Child is happy but mom is disappointed.

I was a little disappointed to see the clothes from the dress up trunk. When my daughter took them out on Christmas day and started trying them on, we all broke out in laughter. The shirts that they included in the trunk came up to her upper chest area. I'm not sure who they made these shirts to fit, but they don't fit my very skinny 4 yr old or my 3 yr old son who is shorter in stature then my 4 yr old. Some of the clothes are cute but I would save your money and buy something else.

This is a very cute dress up trunk--however, Glenda's witch crown fit me, the bad witch was really little and the shirts to all three outfits was really short--which was a problem for my daughter. She likes her shirts to be long enough to tuck in and these definately weren't even close. If that isn't a problem for your little girl, this would probably be fine--just have to deal with the size difference in the witch hats.

The costumes run very small. It says for 3+, but they will barely fit a 3-year-old. (Odd, considering the shoes are huge!!)I bought them for my 4-year-old, and we'll only get a few months' use out of them.

It was made cheaply, so the sleeves aren't even on the costumes - I finally pinned them on, b/c they're always falling off.

Don't expect the trunk to stay together.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! This is the worst dress up set I have ever seen! I read the reviews and stupidly ordered it anyway figuring, "How bad can it be?" Well it is junk. The "costumes" wouldn't fit a poodle, let alone a child. Listen to the reviews, do not buy this!!

My girls are obsessed with The Wizard of Oz and not a day goes by that they aren't wearing some part of these costumes. However, they are the cheapest costumes out there and it shows. The ruby slippers broke the first day, without being mistreated at all! My daughter was walking across the carpeted den and the shoes snapped in half. (She is 4 and small for her age.) The Glinda costume ripped in a week. The "shirts" are too small, even for my 2-year old. It is not "one size fits all" and the sizes are not consistent, as the Dorothy dress is huge and would fit a 7-year old. The witch's hat doesn't even fit the head of my children's baby dolls (too small). If your kids are obsessed like mine, I would bite the bullet and buy a different product that is better made and will last longer.

When I received this and opened the package immediately I was disappointed, the outfits have too many parts to them. The Dorothy dress sleeves are not attached, the neck part is not attached and the blouse is not attached to the jumper. I had to end up getting my sewing machine out and attaching the arms to the blouse because my grand daughter was so frustrated in the sleeves falling down. All the outfits the sleeves are seperate. The toy cardboard chest is a JOKE. My husband and I took forever to figure out how the box parts fit together and then they would not stay together I had to end up getting out my stapler to keep them stay in place. For the money it not worth it. I must say that once I made all the adjustments my granddaughter will NOT part with her Dorothy dress. The rest of the outfits she could care less about so if you little one is into The Wizard of Oz and like Dorothy try some other site to buy only the dress.'

Color Glow Bracelets - glow in the dark, glow stick

My kids have always loved the neon sticks, but even at the dollar stores, they can add up quickly.

So, I bought this tube to see what I'd get.

You get 100 (or 110) very thin neon sticks in various colors, and the plastic doohickeys

that connect them.

We have not had a bad stick yet, and have had a blast with these. We had several going for the 4th,

and actually have enjoyed just messing around with them at night. My kids also have special shoes

that can take an 8" light stick, and it shows through the soles. These don't work quite as well for that,

because they are very thin. However, it did give a little glow.

Overall, very pleased, and will be buying them again.

Sometimes, you just need cheap thrills in life, and this is one of them! 100 8" Night Lights Brand Premium Glow Stick Bracelets Plus 10 Free-110 Bracelets Total!

I had a houseful of glowing family members when everyone donned a dozen of these for the evening celebration. Reports were that they not only stayed on all night long, they were still glowing in the morning. People said they had to cover up their wrists while they slept.

A big hit for the money. I'm ordering more.

My granddaughters loved these so much playing with them and making all sorts of wearable things that the Fourth of July Fireworks were not the only hit for our family.

Just be careful not to fold these little tubes; THEY WILL BURST OPEN AND SPILL ALL THE INSIDES ALL OVER! If you can make sure to watch and not let the kids play alone with these bands.

Other than that, they are a definite plus for ANY gathering, especially at night.

Bought this 100 +10 pack for a night race (running) that didn't allow any lights. I was really pleased I ordered this pack.

1. The colors are nice. Oranges, Yellows, Reds, Pinks, Blues, and Greens.

The green glows the longest (probably the chemicals used for this color) and it's very alien-like. Spooky. Green and Yellow glowed for hours, while the other colors started to fade a little faster.

2. I really enjoyed stringing multiple together to make longer chains.

3. If you crack them and then whip them around a lot you can get even color/glow distribution. We cracked four or five at a time and then shook them like crazy until we got the results we wanted.

4. Crack the ends a few extra times - enough to get the crunching sound out - to ensure the ends will stay hooked in the joiners.

My friend and I made it through our 6+ mile trail run, in the dark, without any loss of glow!! And we were running VERY SLOW because it was very dark, in the woods, on a narrow trail, in the rain. Perfect product - so glad I picked this up.

I purchased two tubes of these to be sold at a fundraiser on the 4th of July. Each one we cracked gave off a good, strong glow without breaks in the color. Unlike the necklaces (22" Lumistick Brand Glowsticks Glow Stick Necklaces Mixed Colors (50 necklaces)), these were far from a disappointment. - Glow In The Dark - Glowsticks - Glow Stick - Glow Sticks'

Teaching Aid - dry erase markers, whiteboard

I'm always looking for additional colours to use on the whiteboard in my Maths lessons. I find colour a great way to help illustrate the actions to take in each step of a problem solving method.

Until recently, I had only Red, Blue, Black, and Green at my disposal. I then found a Pink and Purple.

This Expo set has 16 colours to choose from. My students now participate in the lesson far more by requesting which colour to use next. They are Thai students learning English, so it helps explain the maths, AND helps them practice colour names at the same time.

The colours are very bright and bold. The most effective colours I find are orange, brown, and the darker reds, blues, and greens.

The only colour that does not work too well is the yellow, it's a bit too light to be seen from even just a few feet away. If it were made slighly darker I think it would be perfect.

This set has the chisel points, which add a great effect to writing, and give a nice sharp point for precision work if needed.

In all, an excellent addition to my teaching tools. I'm very happy with them. Expo Low Odor Chisel Tip Dry Erase Markers, 16 Colored Markers

The product description says "Aqua, Black, Blue, Brown, Forest Green, Green, Orange, Pink, Plum, Purple, Red, Turquoise, Yellow", but there was no 'Yellow'. What I got is more close to the picture ... instead of two pinks in the picture there were two dark blues.

I usually only buy Expo Markers but bought Amazon's Board Dudes 2-in-1 Double-Sided Dry Erase Markers (42402BDUA-24) and found almost half of the pens dry and not working. So I went back to Expo. I haven't tried all of the colors, but two of the green tips and a blue tip started breaking and becoming really soft. The felt was ruined after writing about a sentence. All the other Expo markers I have used keep their shape, even after about four years, but these didn't. I am pretty disappointed. I would also like to let you know that the colors aren't the same as the one in the picture, there are two reds, blacks, greens, and blues, and the rest were a different variety.

If you're having trouble erasing, try the Expo cleaner. I always assumed it was a marketing scam, but tried it on a whim and I'm amazed at how much better it works than Windex I used to use. I don't know what's so special about it -- I'm sure it's something you could research and make yourself -- but it solved my erasing issues, especially on walls painted with the "new fangled" whiteboard paint which don't erase as well as regular whiteboards. I agree that the low-odor markers don't erase as well but with the cleaner, both types clean off.

If the cleaner doesn't work, you may just have a worn-out board. I'm serious, they wear out. Check the boards sold at office supply stores and notice they sell differently-priced boards based on light, moderate, or heavy use.

In my experience, if you're using whiteboard paint, then then cleaner is a *must have* to avoid ghosting, etc. - Marker - Dry Erase Markers - Whiteboard - Dry Erase'

Wrap - shawl, pashmina wrap

One reviewer mentioned that the quality of these items was "so so" for the price and I would have to agree. They are soft and comfortable to wear but are very thin and would only keep off a mild chill or cool breeze. It is great for a neck scarf or light wrap. The picture--to me--makes the wrap look very thick and the design looks well-delineated but that is not the case. The design IS woven in but it is "speckly" and not sharp. If you are accustomed to elegant, plush, Pashmina wraps this may prove disappointing. 70" x 28" Big Paisley Jacquard Double Layer Woven Pashmina Shawl / Wrap / Stole - Royal Blue

I purchased the purple and olive "Jacquard Double Layer Woven Pashmina Shawl/Wrap." These are fabulous, magnificent, well made, high quality, reversible, great color saturation (even the olive, which can be drab), beautifully woven design (not printed). Great weight for winter as a scarf (in office as a scarf/wrap), or in the summer as a wrap to keep the chill off. Fabric Has a very nice drape, and doesn't wrinkle easily. I highly recommend this beauty. I will definitely be back for more!!! I thank Saka's for bringing these to us.

Tacky, tacky, tacky. In the picture, the design is clear and set off from the background. The background color is a lovely shade of purple. In reality, the deign looks coarse. The background color is kind of muddy. There's a shiny gold thread through the design that seems to cheapen the whole look. Plus, the Pashmina/silk balance is more like 55/45, as compared to the 70/30 of other options. I returned it.

I ordered these for all 3 of my "moms" for Christmas and was only sorry that I didn't include one for myself. They are well made and stunning from both sides. They look and feel much more expensive than they were.

The shawl is beautiful and expensive-looking. I was proud to have ordered it as a gift for my sister. I was even prouder when I saw the identical shawl in an upscale gift shop marked $65.00, knowing that I had paid only $25.00.

I bought this to complement a dress I'm planning to wear for an evening event. The wrap is beautiful. I ordered the charcoal and it's a gorgeous deep slate color which makes the gold color 'pop'...It looks much more expensive than the $25 I paid for it! The only negative is that it is thin so even though the model shown looks like it will cover you, it won't keep you warm. - Pashmina Shawl - Pashmina Wrap - Shawl - Gift Idea'

Universal Adapter - ac adapter, universal adapter

If you have ever misplaced the AC adapter for an electronic device, you'll wish you had one of these around the house.

It comes with 12 different plugs, so odds are very good that one will fit just about any device. The polarity can also be change from + on the center to - on the center for 'non-standard' items. Of course, the down-side to the 4-way adapters, is that there are 3 unused plugs sticking out in all directions. A little awkward, but in a pinch, it's better than nothing.

There is also a voltage selector switch with the options of 1.5, 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9, and 12 VDC. That should cover almost every option.

The 300 mA output current is sufficient for most electronics.

The one thing that is missing is a 9V battery eliminator plug. Universal Ac Adapter

Works great. Make sure you follow the directions. My CD player had the polarity marked on the jack (hole where you plug in the AC adapter). It was a lot cheaper than the Radio Shack models...which only come with one size plug. This model is much more versatile.

although it does have eight (8) different female leads, this product did not do the job for me and sits in the "everything" drawer: i needed it to use in place of the adapter i lost for the portable CD player - although one female lead DID fit...it did not power the device. (granted, it does NOT promise to power EVERY device...but you would think that with that many different sizes, well,...)

It works great but it is a little thick ...Meaning it is hard to use on some outlets with a closing cover, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. With that said it works great. It is a great price too for so many options. Radio shack wanted twice as much for just one option.

No more looking for the proper adapter!

I went to several local stores to get one of these adaptors and, if they had any at all, they did not have one with as many voltage selections. So, I went onto Amazon and lo and behold, I found what I wanted and for considerably less than the lower featured one at the local stores. It works well and I am satisfied with it.

This so-called Philips "Universal AC Adapter" could as well be called a DC adapter, since its output is DC. There is a plug to fit all of my gadgets. I got it to use as a 9 Vdc, center-negative supply for my Behringer UMX49 MIDI keyboard. It works fine. - Universal Adapter - Ac Adapter'

Teaching Yoga - yoga props, yoga blocks

I like its solid feel of the bamboo material when using it, probably better than the cork and definitely better than the foam material. However, this is just my personal taste; it would be nice to have blocks made of different materials so that one can use different kind depending on circumstances like: for different poses, home uses, short distance travel and long distance travel.

It is nicely built and not that heavy, 2 lbs and 1 oz, from my actually weighing of one block. However, if the carrying weight is a concern, blocks made of lighter material would be a good alternative.

I bought two of these and they are the first blocks I own. I think that I had made the right choice, in comparison with the other materials and the brands, though it is more expensive than the others. Hugger Mugger Bamboo Yoga Block

This is a great yoga block. It's got a good weight to it and it more environmentally friendly than wood which uses more slow growing resources and foam, which will eventually end up in a landfill. I'm not a huge fan of cork as i don't like the way it feels in my hands, but that's just me. I'm happy with my purchase and am considering getting a second block.

Hi, I purchased the Hugger Mugger Bamboo Yoga Block for my wife. The shipment arrive early and the packaging was top notch. The quality of the block is very good. My wife loves the size and feel of the Bamboo vs the foam blocks which she owns as well. The block is smooth and chunky and allows for a great Yoga workout. The feel of the Bamboo is solid unlike the foam that has a little play. The price is not cheap but for a eco friendly Yoga prop it is well worth it. Great product !

I expected it to be a lot lighter than it actually is. Maybe it is just me not know bamboo well. Nevertheless this is a good prop to use in your practice. The edges are soft and won't pinch or hurt your back when you are doing supported back bends.

My block arrived cracked in two places. It was obvious that no one looked at it before it shipped. It's a nice block but it was very disappointing that it wasn't inspected before it shipped. I guess that comes with being a big business....less quality control.

I ordered these blocks without ever having tried them, thinking they would be good props for my yoga students to use for support, and easy to keep clean. Boy, was I right! I love these blocks. They are very sturdy feeling and give my students a sense of confidence when they are using them for support.

I suppose most people probably buy the Hugger Mugger Bamboo Yoga Block because it is an eco-friendly alternative to foam, cork, or wood. Personally, I really like the look and feel of it. I figure that if I am going to be purchasing something that I will be using for years on end, I ought to like how it looks!

The block is a nice size (9" x 4" x 6") and hollow, so it is very lightweight. - Bamboo - Yoga Block - Yoga Props - Yoga Blocks'

Replacement Latch Set - igloo, cooling

Igloo has a touching faith in plastic flex hinges, and makes the hinge itself very thin. The latch on my cooler breaks almost every season and the hinges usually last a couple of seasons. This stuff is expensive when bought individually and the shipping is usually more than the part cost. This kit provides enough parts to last for several years (even the SS screws) at a price much, much lower than individual purchases. Highly recommended.

BTW, if the plastic lid retainer strap breaks and you don't want to pay a zillion dollars for a replacement, grab a piece of the woven-type plastic box strapping. I punched screw holes in mine with a hot nail to seal the edges, melted the cut edges and the strap has worked for 2 years now. I think I would have been in for well over $20 for a replacement.

UPDATE 24Jun11--Ixnay on the retainer strap made from box strapping. My ham-handed beer drinking friends broke it (it splits) about 10 minutes into a party. I got stainless steel picture frame wire and a couple of washers. They'll probably rip the screws out of the chest now, but the cable's not going to break. Also, nylon cord as mentioned by the commenter. Igloo Parts Kit for Ice Chests

Our aged cooler needed the new spout AND the hinges AND the latch. Everyone else at our group camping trip was impressed that we could replace those. The cooler was otherwise fine. My husband installed the parts and says that they worked fine, no problem, and that he appreciated the extra spare parts.

I am not hard on my things, but the latches on the original cooler and the replacement latches both lasted only about a month of full time use. Maybe because of the desert heat? Whatever, I think that the life span should be measured in years, not in months or even weeks.

If you are looking at latches, then you are having the same problems I am. I know Igloo sells metal latches, though you may need to go to the Igloo site to find them. That's going to be my next attempt. I've got about as much invested now in latches as I did in the original cooler.

I am happy to see that Igloo has replacement parts for their coolers. I means that we don't have to replace a cooler when something breaks. The concern is that Igloo has replacement parts for it's coolers, which mean that parts do break. If they tend to break, it would be nice if the spare parts came with the cooler when purchased, or let's look into better parts. It fixed our broken latch and now we have extra pieces for the next break.

This replacement latch kit looks adequate. The latches now use one only screw instead of two to secure the latch to the upper lid of the cooler. It certainly is not superior to the original design. The kit installed easily.

Great repair kit. The parts were not exactly the same for the repair but an improved part. That's probably why the old ones broke - not as well designed. The parts are still labeled Igloo even though they are listed as generic replacements. I broke the retainer to the cap of the drain first few times I used it. Then the latch for the lid broke when someone caught a pant leg on it and tore the plastic. The latch sticks out when not latched down. Nobody wants to keep latching the top when you're using it at a BBQ.

The new latches do not stick out like the old ones, but they do hang up on the latch button when you drop the lid. They could have built in a ramp on the latch so it wouldn't catch but no. Maybe this will cease when the latches get used a few times. Don't know... time will tell.

The kit comes with new latches, drain plug, and hinges. But not the lid strap for my 100 Qt cooler. That is separate for $5.

Easy to do repairs with a screwdriver and sandpaper or a knife.

Got this kit to replace a hinge on my 120qt cooler. My old hinge was an older model and I was afraid that the new hinge wouldn't fit but I just followed the instructions and my chest was good as new again. The entire process to change the hinge took less than 5 mins ... all you need is a screwdriver and small bit of elbow grease.

Overall I'm glad the cooler is fixed now rather than having to drop a bill for a new cooler. - Cooling - Igloo - Hinges - Replacement Latch Set'

Stanley Bostitch - stanley bostitch, bostitch

I purchased this sharpener for classroom use because it was quiet and touted to be extremely efficient in the classroom. One month after beginning use, the sharpener stopped sharpening on one side. I returned the sharpener to the company and was sent another in the mail. The second sharpener never did sharpen on both sides. I tried every pencil in the drawer, some old, some new, various brands, with the same outcome: 1/16th sharpening on one side and full sharpening on the other. I contacted customer service via e-mail and was told the problem was the PENCILS. (Their studies show that many pencils are inferior and dry unevenly, thereby making it impossible to sharpen them.) I then tried other types, brands, etc. No improvement. I finally tried colored pencils, and notified the company that the sharpener would only sharpen colored pencils. They notified me that I had invalidated my warranty by sharpening colored pencils and they were off the hook.

Shortly after I notified the company a second time, I received a very nice e-mail from a company problem solver who settled the problem by sending a Super Pro 6 model. It has two sharpening blades and works beautifully. I suggest you pass on the Quiet Sharp 6 and purchase the Super Pro 6 model to begin with. The dual sharpener solved all problems inherent in the Quiet 6. Stanley Bostitch QuietSharp6(TM) Classroom Pencil Sharpener With 6-holes And Quiet Motor, Blue (EPS10HC)

Just replaced a schoolpro sharpener with this new Bostitch item. Have always been a fan of their staplers, so decided to give this a try. The first thing that really stood out was how quiet it was compared to the schoolpro model. I can actually let the kids sharpen during a lesson without disturbing the class. The sharpening speed is also far superior. I still have the shcoolpro in the classroom, but the kids all prefer the Bostitch due to how fast it is. Another great feature is the magnetic safety switch which gives me added peace of mind when letting the kids sharpen their own pencils.

I've always made do with the frustrating little handheld pencil sharpeners, but no more. I'd forgotten what it was like to have a truly sharp pencil!

I thought this might be a little more pencil sharpener than I needed, until I started sharing it with my mom. She now uses it for all her various sizes and hardnesses of drawing pencils, and she can't stop raving about it. So in addition to schools, it would be a good choice for art classes.

Keep in mind that quiet does not mean silent. It has to make some noise to do its job well, but it IS less noisy than other electric pencil sharpeners.

I've had the unit for about three weeks now, and I'm quite pleased with it. My only issue, and it's minor, is with the catch tray ("shavings receptacle"). It comes off a lot more easily than it goes back on. If you press too hard on the front of the unit to secure the suction cups, the catch tray will come off. Also, be very careful when you go to empty it. Be sure all the shavings are in the FRONT of the tray before you remove it. Otherwise, you could have a big mess on your hands requiring a Dustbuster for cleanup. (Yes, I speak from experience.)

If any problems arise with the unit in the future, I'll adjust my review and rating to reflect such problems. So far, I'm happy to recommend it.

This is the best pencil sharpener that I have ever used. I first saw it in the library at my son's Elementary school. That evening I found it at Amazon and purchased it for a fantastic price. This sharpener is quiet and fast and leaves a point that is strong and sturdy. I recommend this over many other products that are on the market.

I will not begin to count the NUMEROUS sharpeners we've had throughout the YEARS!!!! I will simply say that I absolutely love my 'SMURF'. We named it that. My kids should be in college when the time comes to empty the shavings tray, it is massive. The device is quiet (unlike my kids) and it has suctions underneath to prevent one of my lil ANGELS from knocking it off the table. I absolutely love it. The dial for additional pencil widths is a plus. I read a lot of the reviews and teachers gave high marks for the quality and performance. I have to agree. For those that look for negative reviews; you won't find one here. I am a happy lil momma. STANLEY BOSTITCH SHARPNER RULES. Thank you.

This Sharpener is Awesome! It sharpens all types of pencils quickly and quietly. I love that it automatically stops when the pencil is sharp. Works like a dream in my classroom. Thirty-five students go through a lot of pencils in a fourth grade classroom during the year. I've used other electric sharpeners. This one is the best. - Stanley Bostitch - Pencil Sharpener - Electric Pencil Sharpener - Bostitch'

Rc Helicopter - syma, rc heli

This is the real deal. The gyro works perfect like it should. Other brands make claims that their products can't back up. But this little heli is worth every penny.

I've tried 4 other brands and they sucked. This S107 would fly circles around them and it will land where you want it to. Do a search on youtube and you can see for yourself. Syma S107/S107G R/C Helicopter - Red

I bought this for my 10 year old. She has another Syma helicopter and it has lasted 2 years of flying and crashing so I chose another Syma. I thought the bult in gyro would add to the enjoyment and it does. The helicopter flies like a home sick angel! It is stable, will hover if you hold the throttle steady, can be accurately directed and easily flown without crashing. Sounds like perfection and at a very reasonable price. There is one problem that spoils the fun though. After about 2-3 minutes flight time it will not hold altitude. You can get it to climb by flying in a forward direction and extend you flight a couple more minutes or you can land it and let the battery recover for a few seconds and it will climb or hold altitude but only for another 10-15 seconds and then it begans decending again. Even if you do use the forward flying trick (a half dozen circles going forward will get you 3-4 feet altitude) or you shut it down for a few seconds to give you enough to climb to the five or six foot level where I usually fly to avoid the sofa you only get about 5 1/2 minutes total fly time half of which is psent trying to extend you flight time. It takes 30-40 minutes to charge the battery. The other rc copters we have owned took about 8-10 minutes. This could have been an amazing toy with a slightly bigger battery.

It's been stated before but the only drawback I see in this little toy is the flight time... About 7 to 8 minutes. Other than that, great so far. Oh, this is my wife's account but we both use it all the time. Amazon, can't beat them.

I must admit I was wondering whether the reviews were artificially written by the manufacturers/sellers,.... However, the first flight put me at rest...I am 80 used to fly big birds but this is great fun and now a few of my friends are enjoying the same S107's. Expect quite a few spectacular crashes when people open doors or the airconditioning comes on when least expected. Improvements ...Remove the nose and place a small weight ie. a nut in the nose and replace it to give the forward flight characteristics more momentum...then you can scoot around the room easily. Think I can now impress my wife that I could fly a larger one without destroying the house !!!!!

I researched very carefully before I bought this heli. There is alot of junk out there but this isn't it. This thing is a breeze to fly and it is very durable. I've gotten too close to furniture and crashed several times. I am yet to break anything including the blades. This heli has a li-po battery and if you treat it right, it will give you alot of enjoyment. You will destroy the battery if you overcharge it. You have to unplug it as soon as the indicator lights up. You also don't ever want to run it completely dead. This thing makes Airhogs look like junk. (because they are) I highly recommend this heli to anyone!

There are a lot (a lot!) of lousey micro helicopters out there and a few good ones. This is -the- one to get. Controls are effortless and as long as you're in a room with a decent amount of space, you'll be flying fine in no time.

First off, the remote is infrared--meaning you'll need to keep an open line of sight between the control and the helicopter (don't let the "RC" fool you--it's remote control, not radio control). That said, the remote must be very bright because I haven't lost signal to it once. The controls are 3 channel: you have control over power, yaw, and pitch. Basically, you can go up and down, turn left and right, and move forward and backward (about all that's missing is roll--you can't move side to side). Flight is easy and intuitive, thanks in part to the built in gyro. This thing is easy to fly. Take it off, and put the stick somewhere in the middle, and it'll just hover before you. It's extremely resonsive to turning. Forward/backward movement is a little sluggish, but not bad (just not as responsive as turning). Because this is a dual-counter-rotating system, the helicopter is inherantly stable, unlike a real helicopter. There's no rotational moment to compensate for as on a traditional helicopter (and in fact, the tail rotor is vertical--it's only function is forward/backward propulsion).

The heli is very light--you won't want to use it outdoors unless there isn't even the slightest breeze. You also won't want to use it outdoors in direct sunlight as that can blind the remote sensor and you'll lose control. Even indoors, you'll want to avoid air conditioning vents and fans.

The heli is very sturdy for it's size. While you won't want to slam it into walls, I've had a few mis-haps and the little thing just gets right up and flies again. The mostly-metal construction is solid and looks nicer than the cheap plastic ones, too.

The heli has a tiny Li-Po battery which keeps it in the air for about 5 minutes. You can charge it via a wire that comes off the remote, or via a USB cable (the latter has the advantage of not draining your remote batteries). Charging takes about 45 minutes. Don't worry about it suddenly dying and dropping out of the sky--flight will be stable and predictable, until, after 4-5 minutes, you'll find yourself giving it more and more power to keep it in the air. When you notice this, it's time to land and charge.

Other notable features

- The rotors are not rigid but are on hinges, which I believe makes it a little less likely to break a blade on impact with any walls/furniture/siblings.

- The remote has a trim adjustment for rotation--just turn in until the heli stays facing the same direction, and it's good to go (you probably won't ever need to adjust it again after that).

- There is a neat blue/red flashing light in the nose (which, personally, I think would be neater if it were just white so you could fly it in complete darkness).

- It also comes with two replacement main rotor blades, and one replacement tail rotor. Since this model is so common (for good reason), it's also easy to find other parts online should you need them.

- The remote can be set to one of three frequencies so up to three should be able to fly with eachother without interfering with eachother (I'm not sure, but possibly the color dictates the frequency? There are also Blue and a Yellow models).

Bottom line: this is an absolute bargain at $25, and unlike many other RC helis, this one won't disappoint. It's as fun and easy to fly as the youtube vids make it look. - Syma - Helicopter - Rc Heli - Indoor Heli'

Dry Erase Calendar

I am an academic who scribbles frequently on the white board in my office. These magnificent markers allow me to get a whole lot more on my white board. Other "fine tipped" markers I have tried either were not very fine or if they were fine, the tips soon became soft and mushy which created broad lines. These markers are compact and the tips have held up well. The variety of colors is great also. I liked them so much I went ahead and bought the 30 count pack which is a pretty good deal. BIC Great Erase Low Odor Dry Erase Markers, Fine Point, Assorted, 4 Dry Erase Markers (GDEP41)

We do a lot of dry-erasing where I work and we struggled for a while with markers that would dry out easily. Whether it was a issue of people not replacing the caps or just faulty markers, I don't know. But I do know that these markers have held up to the test of being repeatedly used and occasionally being left uncapped. It's been well over a month and the 6 marker set that I took in is still going!

I bought this because it was cheap and because I'd like to have the finer tip. In short, it's good that it works but it just doesn't work as well. The lines aren't that saturated so dont expect to read this from afar. If you're ok with personal writing and being close to it at most times to read, then it's fine. Otherwise, don't use it if you're planning on using it as visual aid for others to read. Next time, I'll stick with the chisel tips from Expo.

These leave a nasty residue if the writing is left for more than a day or two and the quality of the writing is still pretty weak. I tried them on normal d/e boards, mirrors and windows and on each surface they were pretty transparent and hard to read.

I generally like Bic products, but this is one I won't buy again

These are terrific markers - no odor at all - and that's important to me. My grandson and I have been using them to draw on subway tiles. We spend hours sketching and giggling, doodling and erasing without any mess or chemical odor.

If you want to use these yourself, I wouldn't recommend them. I tried using them for my calendar and was not impressed. The red is not bright enough - doesn't even look red. None of these colors are very bold. Now I let my children use them for their wipe-off books, and that works great for all of us.

I mostly use these markers to solve math problems from complex analysis on a marker board. I use them to augment my bigger markers or when space gets tight. They seem to do the trick for the most part, although are not as bold as I would like. Good price here compared to department stores however.'
