Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000
This review is for the benefit of Mac users, not Windows. I bought the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and the Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision to choose a web camera for an iMac G5 2.0GHz, the generation immediately before the G5 iMac with the built-in iSight camera. And I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.1, the most updated (to date) Leopard. There is currently a camera for sale at Apple retail stores that is labeled the Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision MP, for Macs. It is the same hardware as the Ultra Vision and Ultra Vision SE for Windows; all the Ultra Vision cameras differ only in cosmetics, color--they're all the same hardware.
On a Mac, the cameras both run on the built-in Apple drivers. There are no Logitech drivers, no Logitech software. Therefore none of the Logitech special effects or light and sound management that the box lists work for Mac users. No autofocus, no RightLight2, no RightSound. Kind of a drag. In addition, there is no ability to manage color, light balance, etc., from any operating system software on the Mac or from Logitech. This is pure plug-and-play, and you get only the most basic functionality: The camera and microphone work (not sure about quality of sound on receiving end) to deliver picture and sound, neither tunable with what is in the box.
What the two cameras have in common is that they work for Mac users. According to what I've read, any camera that is labeled as Microsoft Windows Vista-compatible or UVC (USB Video Class) will work just as these do in Mac OS X, with this prereq: You have to have OS X 10.4.9 minimum. Tiger (OS X 10.4) is currently at 10.4.11; Leopard is at 10.5.1. Both will support video and sound on UVC cameras.
That said, the Pro 9000 and Ultra Vision differ in some significant ways. The focus on the Pro 9000 (P9K hereafter) is tighter than on the Ultra Vision (UV hereafter). The focus on the UV is comparatively lower in resolution; you can see jaggies on straight lines on either camera, but they're pretty visible on the UV, and you have to look for them on the P9K. I would say the P9K is definitely superior, and neither is as good as the iSight cameras built into any of the current Mac lines (but then, if you had a Mac with iSight, you wouldn't be reading this). The P9K's resolution is finer than the UV.
As to color I would say that if I could have a compromise between the two cameras, the UV and the Pro 9000, it would be better than either. The Pro 9000 color/exposure is a bit washed out; the UV is a bit dim. E.g., a blue pinpoint oxford shirt looks barely blue on the Pro 9000, and much more saturated on the UV. The entirety of the UV's color tilts heavily toward blue, while the Pro 9000 goes more toward yellow. (I would be curious to know if the color balance varies by model or by individual camera. I'd also love to see if other brands, say, Creative Labs, differ too.) Both cameras adjust to changing light, but in low light the Pro 9000 is not just a little but significantly better; in very low light, the UV nearly blacks out, while screen light is enough for the PK9 to deliver a passable image, albeit with low frame rate and lots and lots of motion blur.
Note that on a G5 or earlier (any non-Intel Mac), the support for iChat and PhotoBooth's effects is limited--specifically, they'll do the first two panels (color effects, including charcoal, Andy Warhol-ish, X-ray, B/W, sepia, and the pinch, swirl, and similar effects), but none of the backdrop effects, either still or moving.
I found both to work with iChat, PhotoBooth, Skype, and several of the shareware camera apps available. So I would say they work, period.
While neither Apple nor Logitech provides much more support for cameras, eCamm.com has a bevy of camera titles that provide extra power for web cameras on non-Intel Mac hardware. iGlasses, PowerBoost, and a couple other titles provide color tuning, restore some of the effects capabilities that PPC Macs don't get in iChat and PhotoBooth, and provide recordability with QuickTime output. They do good work. iGlasses provides some control over brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, gamma, sharpness, gain, white balance. I didn't find these to really improve the images on the P9K, but they did help the UV. Once you get a camera, you may want to get some of eCamm's software. Logitech 720p Webcam Pro 9000
They have got this one right.. That is for sure...
I had the previous Logitech Pro 5000 and this one beats that one (which is also good) miles away !!
The quality that I have all my family and friends reporting on Skype is just asthonishing.
Because of that, I got a 2nd one and start using it myself during all my trips and I could see the diference from the previous one.
The range of colors is what calls the attention, very good in bringing the true colors of the place you are without have to deal with the controls of it.
The Auto Focus on it is just something to bring the attention to, since you can acctually get close up on stuff that other cameras would not pick up.
I could even show what I had on my monitor to friends and they were able to read it ! (using Skype)
The lens are just great (All sony cybershot's uses the same lens if that tells you anything !!), to which I believe is also the reason for all this image perfecion they have reached with the camera.
And the sound is really good, with eco cancelation and all the bells and whistles.
I mainly use it for web conference, but if you would like to make videos and send them out, that does the job with an A+!!
You will be satisfied with this one, and the price is worht the equipment you are going to get...
That's why I got 2 of those already for my family !
Go for it !'

British Chick Lit - female author, chick lit
I had a really time getting interested in this book. I wasn't a big fan of the character, Harriet (Jen's mom), and wasn't looking forward to reading too much more about her and her interactions with Jen. Luckily Harriet was not in all that many scenes in the book.
Once I got going with the book I enjoyed it. I found most all the characters likeable. I didn't necessarily feel like I got to Jen all that much but there was enough to work with and relate to.
The book picked up and I sat down and read straight through the last 80 pages. I would recommend it. Learning Curves: A Novel of Sex, Suits, and Business Affairs
This "chick lit" book is better then most - an intelligent heroine does more then just worry about her love life. There is a bit of mystery to it as well. It is not often you read books about MBA students - as an MBA grad myself, it was great!
I can't write, that's why I am not a writer. Here is a game for you: count the number of times the main characters "sigh" or "frown" on each page... The writing is painful: she frowns, he frowned, he sighs, she sighed... I am frowning and sighing trying to get through this book.
Since I used to live in London, I buy any chick-lit that's based there, whether I think it looks interesting or not. This book stuck out at me since it's rare to see a chick-lit book that explores mildly-intellectual things (business ethics for example) while still telling a single-girl-coming-into-her-own story.
The premise of the book is that Jen's mother wants her to infiltrate her estranged father's company to find evidence that he is linked to some illegal business dealings. Jen's parents divorced nastily fifteen years before, and her mother went on to start an "ethical" business consultancy to compete with her father's "big business" company. Jen joins the company, and quickly right becomes wrong, left becomes right, the good guy becomes the bad guy.
With a neat and tidy little twist at the end, the book is clever and tells a good story. It drags on in parts, and the dialogue isn't the greatest (the "real life" conversation between Jen and her boyfriend ordering takeout made me want to scream) but I definitely think it's a great escapist chick-lit book, ranking up there with Sophie Kinsella and Helen Fielding.
Usually Townley's novel are kind of funny and a little over the top. I adored her first book but thought he second was a little boring.
This one does not feel so much like a chick lit novel to me. Yes, there is the requisite single girl and the mother and the misunderstandings with the dad, but this book felt more heavy handed to me. Like the author did not know what to do next and went into a different direction.
The result is a so-so novel. A bit on the "yeah right" side. I had a lot of problems accepting the basic premise which is that our main character applies and gets into an MBA program cauz her mom told her she had to do it in order to help world peace. Its okay as a library rental - don't spend the money to buy this one.
I liked this author's first book, Little White Lies, but this is so much better. Its centred around corporate intrigue, family feuds and corporate greed, and also has a great love story and a character who actually rings true instead of the usual airhead.
This is only the second book I have ready by this author. I loved her first book. I do agree, it took a little longer to get interested in this book, but once I got into it, I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I loved her relationship with Daniel Peterson. if you are looking for a book that just takes you away for a few hours or so a day from day to day life then I definitely recommend reading this book. Just take it as pure fun!
Jennifer Bell has a game plan for her life but getting a M.B.A. was never a part of that plan. Jennifer is the daughter of George and Harriet who divorced years ago. They didn't always get along when they were married and definitely don't get along since their divorce. And to add to the troubling family issues, the parents have vastly different political beliefs.
Harriet is a liberal environmentalist who runs the firm Green Futures. The business is hemorrhaging cash but Harriet is in denial. Jen works for her demanding and omnipotent mother and has been estranged from her father for many years. George runs Bell Consulting.
Jen's mother is convinced that George is involved in a corruption scam in Indonesia and convinces Jen to go "undercover" at her father's firm in order to prove her beliefs. It's difficult to deny Harriet anything, so Jen begins an M.B.A. program at her father's company to find the proof her mother needs in order to implicate him in the corruption ring.
All good plans have problems and Jen's begin when her father discovers her in a closet at the firm's offices. They begin the process of reconciling and it appears that George is not the ogre Harriet believes he is. Or is he?
While working at Bell Consulting, Jen meets Daniel Person who is an executive and M.B.A. lecturer. He's handsome and clever and there is a mutual attraction. But life interferes, as usual, and there are miscommunications and misunderstandings that keep the couple apart.
When Bell Consulting is implicated publicly in a bribery scandal, Jen must decide who is telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Townley has written a quirky, fast-paced and fun romp with Jen at the helm. As her life takes more than a few twists and turns on the journey to truth, we root for the good guys (and there are a few), and we can't wait for the bad guys to get their comeuppance.

Woodworking - dust collectors, dust collection
I bought mine about 3 years ago and have been very happy with it.
Assembly went well, except it was missing a square rubber gasket at the top of the blower housing. I called the distributor, and a new one arrived within a few days. I ran 6" duct work throughout my shop, with 4" drops to my tools. The blower provides plenty of suction for all my needs. I also installed a trash can pre-separator for my planer, since it would fill the bags really fast otherwise.
One problem, and the reason for only 4 stars, is that the inlet to the blower housing came installed with a sheet metal cross to (apparently) reinforce the opening. Larger shavings can easily get trapped there, and quickly plug the inlet. I took some tin snips and removed the sheet metal cross, and have not had it plug up since (in 3 years of use).
I highly recommend you also buy Grizzly's H5397 remote control at the same time. It's designed to work with 220, and comes with TWO remotes (not just one, like most other remote controls). I keep one on my bench, and other clipped to my shop apron. The remotes come with clip, for just that purpose. Shop Fox W1666 2 HP 1550 CFM Dust Collector
I picked up the Shop Fox dust collector for $199 on sale and it was a steal at that price. It is very powerful and meets all the needs of a small woodworking shop. I replaced the standard 30 micron bags with 2.5 micron bags and added a cyclonic trash collector before it hits the impeller. I also added a radio controlled switch so that I just press a button on a fob like you have for your car alarm. That starts and stops the system from across the shop.
There are other great collectors out there but you have to pay some big dinero for them. This machine reprresents the right combination of value, durability, reliability, and performance. With a little customization and tweaking, you won't find a better deal for a small shop.
This is my first dust collector and I did a lot of research before purchasing it. It has performed wonderfully thus far. It is fairly quiet and has an incredible amount of power. I have not hooked it up to multiple machines yet but I am confident that it will do a great job. The only flaw I see in it is that the lower dust collection bag is made of cloth and must be emptied rather than a disposable plastic bag on bottom like some of the more expensive Delta models. I can empty the bag for this price though. I recommend getting a remote start which is unbelievably useful when you are ready to go at the table saw and realize you didn't turn the dust collector on.
After 10 months the motor started making nose like a baring was going out. I called the number for warranty and low and behold an English speaking American answered the phone. I simply explained to him my problem and with no hassle he shipped me a new motor UPS in 2 days. You just don't get customer service like this every day. From now on all my shop tools will be Shop Fox.
I had initially intended to get the smaller W1685 model which uses a standard 110v connector but bought the W1666 not realizing it used a NEMA6-15 220V connector. So if you get the W1666, make sure you have the right power available for it.
It seems like a nice machine. Two concerns were that the holes did not lineup to fasten down the actual fan portion of the unit, so I had to drill new holes in the right spot. Also the six inch imput splits into two 4 inch imputs, one of which was cracked slightly when I unpacked it.
We ordered the Grizzly cyclone dust collector because the company promised delivery in time for a deadline we had. The unit arrived late and was missing vital components. Not that a box or two was not delivered but that boxes were packed missing components. i.e. All the gaskets were missing, some connectors and sheet metal components of the cyclone.
Customer service informed us that they only had some of the parts, not all, and that they would ship them to us and would charge us $160 for shipping.
I immediately asked for a supervisor! the Grizzly operators refused. It must be policy not to put on a supervisor? I tried to reach a supervisor on several more calls. Finally frustrated I left a message with an operator that Grizzly must ship the missing parts immediately free of additional charge or reverse the order and pick up their useless machine.
Five days later I received a call back from a Grizzly supervisor offering to ship some not all of the parts (they apparently do not have complete replacement parts, and for some reason beyond my comprehension did not think it was reasonable to send the part from another machine they have in inventory). The woman was extremely righteous and rude. Expecting us to pay for an incomplete machine and wait for an indeterminate time to get it working???
It is unfortunate but Grizzly's unethical behavior and utter lack of customer service left us no choice but to declare fraud and have our credit card company reverse the charges.
I would NEVER deal with this company again, and would strongly recommend to others not to as well. If you are going to sell cheap Asian equipment you had better have excellent customer service. - Dust - Dust Collectors - Dust Collection - Woodworking'

Makeup Brushes - beauty, bundle monster
I already own the BM 35 piece studio brush set but I wanted this set as a travel set. Bundle Monster 34pc Studio Pro Makeup Make Up Cosmetic Brush Set Kit w/ Leather Case - For Eye Shadow, Blush, Concealer, Etc.. The brushes in this set is actually better than the other set. The hairs are soft and the packaging is cute. I gave it a wash using some tips I saw on youtube (olive oil+dish detergent) and the brushes are now like my $20/pop brushes from the department store. Although I could do without some of the brushes in this set, but overall it is a great value. Did I mention that the carrying case is cute? I would take out the brushes that I don't use and add my other must-haves in this case for the perfect travel companion. Bundle Monster 15pc Studio Pro Makeup Make Up Cosmetic Brush Set Kit w/ Pink Faux Crocodile Case - For Eye Shadow, Blush, Eyeliner, Etc.
These brushes are soooo soft! i mean for 19$ these brushes are great! The case it comes in does smell a little funny but it is adorable! also the shipping was so fast! the one bad thing is it doesnt have a blending brush so i did have to get a mac 217 brush but its all good(:
This is another great product from Bundle Monster. Prviously I got a leather case combo set (skin & screen protector) for my kindle from bundle monster, it was a great experience, so I decided to find something for my girl friend. I see this new makeup brush set with attractive pink crocodile case, I know my girl friend would love it because she loves pink and she always wear makeup. The brush set came on time, it was nicely wrapped. I gave it to my girl friend as a surprise gift, she just loves it so much. She said the quality of the brushes are good and size of the set is good and handy. Just can't wait to find more great product from Bundle Monster!!!
For the price you pay 15 brushes for close to $19, which makes each brush a bit over a doller, you get what you paid for. The brushes are too soft, and the case is a little cute, but the quality of the brushes are questioned. I was able to notice straying hairs from the brush and some began to fall off a bit. The handle is not good quality, I was able to separate the brush from the wooden handle with a nice tug after I first opened and examined the brushes, I might have to re-glue all 15. The metal handle attaching the brush to the wooden handle is not made well either, I can easily bend it.
If I had noticed these brushes in store, I would have bought better makeup applicators. But I don't regret the purchase because in reality I had a cheap deal with these makeup brushes. In wal-mart and drugstores the brushes can be very expensive.
If you like cheap brushes and don't care, this is for you. I've started to really gain an interest in beauty and makeup and these brushes are just ok. I also had amazon prime so shipping was super fast.
Dont let everyone tell you how amazing these brushes are, they're not a super deal and the quality of the brushes matches its price. Worth a bit over a doller.
I am not new to make-up. Being 30 I've been around the block. However, I am new to correctly applying my make-up. I thought theses brushes would be a nice starter set for me. Not too cheap and not too expensive. They took a little longer getting here than I would have liked but, I'll chalk that up to impatience. Upon arrival they were bubble wrapped to the extreme. The better to keep them safe my dear. When I opened them I was overwhelmed with all these different brushes as I have no clue how to use them. While reading reviews I noticed that a few people were complaining about the smell. I have the worlds most sensitive nose and I was a bit anxious. I found it had a slight odor, but nothing that would knock me out. As a matter of fact, the smell didn't bother me at all. The brushes were soft and stiff when they needed to be. I love that the case fits in my make-up bag. I'd highly recommend this product and look forward to upgrading with another of their products. (As soon as I figure out mines! Lol)
This is a great set if this is your first set you are purchasing. The brushes are great, soft, no smell to them when opened. I use them everyday and love them. Will purchase from this seller again. They had speedy shipping and the product was awesome. Thanks!
I was very excited to receive this product, and when finally received it I found out that the bag was a little broken to be honest I did not care, the only 3 brushes that really work for me are the first 3 to apply blush..the other ones..no comments they are supposed to be eye shadow brushes but they are almost the same thing and does not hold well the shadows...I still using my eco brushes after all...
I adore these brushes!! I have been looking for a set of good quality, descent, good price brushes and I finally FINALLY! found some :D I was so excited when they finally came through the mail. Best brushes so far, and the pink alligator skin case that came with it! Couldn't get any better. This seller gets an A+ in my book. - Beauty - Brushes - Makeup Brushes - Bundle Monster'

Droid Screen Protector - droid, screen protector
I bought a pack of 3 screen protectors from Verizon when I got my Droid. When I was on my 3rd from that pack I decided to order these. Each of the ones I put on the phone from verizon had bubbles. I was less than optimistic about these because they were much cheaper. I am pleased to say that I put on one a few days ago and it went on flawlessly. No bubbles at all. You cant even tell that it's there. Another thing I like is that it covers the entire screen including the menu buttons. This was a small problem with the verizon protectors because they stopped at the menu buttons, so when you took off an old one there was a bit of grime to scrub off where the protector stopped and the menu buttons started. If this product holds up then it will deserve 5 stars. I gave it 4 because I've yet to use it for more than a few days. However, due to initial impressions of appearance, ease of application, and price, I give it 4 stars. Recommended. 3 Pack of Premium Crystal Clear Screen Protectors for Motorola Droid A855 [Accessory Export Packaging]
After reading everyone else's reviews, I ordered these (for my Droid 2) thinking it couldn't hurt to try them out, since they were so inexpensive and shipping was free. Realizing other people had issues with the shields not fitting perfectly, I did a little trimming on the corners and bottom edge prior to sticking one on, and voila! For the price, if you're willing to take an extra minute to clean your screen and trim, these are an excellent deal. A couple days later, I managed to scratch my phone (still don't know how I did it!), and the screen was saved, so these little shields are effective. Shipping was also quite speedy, which was a huge plus.
Glad I got a three pack. I ruined the first one I installed (seems to be common). The fit is perfect, and it protected my screen from impact when it fell on some tools, put a gouge in the protector but no damage to the screen itself. I'd much rather wrestle with the installation of a new protector than try to replace the whole screen. Highly recomended
I decided to give these a try. While I would have preferred them to use adhesive rather than "static cling"*, if you carefully clean the Droid screen and be careful to avoid letting the protector pick up any dust, then be sure to slowly and carefully align the protector and "squeege" the protector as you lay it down there will be less air bubbles. I was able to push the bubbles out by using a micro-fiber cloth. That took some time, but it was worth it.
*That does allow you to remove, reposition and start over should the application not go well.
This was one of the worst screen protectors I have ever tried to apply. I have applied many in my days with several ipods and a couple psp's and this one was tough. Like another reviewer when I finally got the stupid thing applied well enough to take the tab off, it ripped off and was a complete and utter pain in the ass to remove! I was very careful in my preparation, and even wore rubber gloves to avoid finger prints. My suggestion is to spend some extra $$ and get a better product. I will when this comes off in a few weeks.
After scratching my first Droid, I ordered a new one and realized how much I needed to protect the screen. I saw much higher priced products that serve the same purpose, but I went with this one. This goes on easy and protects perfectly. Just follow the directions for application. Pay attention to the tabs that are on each piece to avoid dust getting under the shield. This is all you need and Im glad I got this one.
I was a little worried buying these screen protectors at such a cheap price and when I went to put the first one on I thought "yep that's why" there were more bubbles than I could count. But then I tried again this time I applied it the same way you would apply window tint using a soap and water solution. And it came out PERFECT! Not one bubble. So if you can handle applying window tint these protectors will work great for you. If not though you may want to go to a more expensive protector that is easier to apply.
The plastic is clear and fits well. The only issue is with the adhesive tabs that are used to separate the backing from the cover. The adhesive on the cover sticks to the cover and is very difficult to remove. Of course, the tab on the backing removes easily with no adhesive remaining. The tabs should be reversed. Possibly why these are so inexpensive? Maybe the design has changed since then?
Purchased 2 sets of the screen protectors for both mine and my husband's new Milestones. First problem, directions only in German. Since my husband is from Germany, he translated the improper German directions. Second problem, when you pull the tab labeled remove this tab before applying to the screen, the paper rips off and does not remove the protective covering. So fingernails and bending and twisting, finally got the tab started. I applied it to the screen and used the cardboard squeegie to remove the bubbles (still have some that will not go away.) Third problem, you now have to pull the piece of paper that says remove this after the protector has been applied. Guess what! The paper ripped off again leaving a sticky residue and had to use fingernails and bending to get the outer protection layer off. No wonder I have bubbles! Electronic Headphone Adapter - electronic headphone adapter, headphones
EXACTLY what I was looking for.
This one is the 6 inch, "adapter" version. If you want it as a 10 foot cable, you want this: HOSA CFR-210 Stereo Female Mini to 2 RCA Male Plugs ? 10 Feet
You can accomplish the same thing with various, more common adapters (of course) but stringing them end to end started to get a little ugly. So I went online and found exactly what I was looking for. What I'm sure most people (even you) will be using this for is plugging headphones or computer speakers to the audio-out ports on a TV or game console. If you're using amplified computer speakers with their own volume, perfect. If you're using headphones, you'll need to get an in-line volume control or else, as said in another review, the volume cannot be turned up or down. Here's the one I bought. Koss VC20 Volume Control Cables To Go - 03182 - 3.5mm Stereo Female to RCA Male Y-Cable
The picture of the item "Cables To Go - 03182 - 3.5mm Stereo Female to RCA Male Y-Cable" show that the item has a gold plate connector, but item that i receive is a silver plate connector, so the sound has no fullness as my headphone does. disappoint for pay more and got less.
I play video games quite often and the television sets that I own do not have earphone jacks so that I don't disturb others in the house. This enables me to have an earphone jack on any electronic appliance that has stereo jacks.
I got this cable for my PCI audio card, which only has RCA inputs and outputs (an M-audio audiophile 2496). This allowed me to use my normal computer speakers which have the usual 1/8" male plug. Quality is good, actually great for the $2.99 I paid for it. If you were to buy this from Soundblaster, they want $15 (a testament to how challenging it is to find)! I don't think Radioshack carries it either, or at least I couldn't find it.
This little cable is the answer to bad speakers w/ an hdtv and a low budget regarding stereo systems. I took my sony pc speakers and subwoofer - added this little cable monster, and BAM. Good sound - modified. ;) live in an apartment, and don't need loud sound anyway - but can't go wrong with crisp pc speakers connected to a tv ;)
I got this adapter to connect my PC speakers to the "RCA out"(speaker out) instead of "headphone out" at the back of a high-end sound card. I wanted to use the headphone out for my audiophile-grade headphones. I also did not want to plug and unplug every time I want to use wither the headphone or speakers.
Amazon is great for making this adapter available and for a good price.
I was hoping for brass/gold plating for better looking and "theoretically" better sound. These wires are so short that I doubt it matters.
The sound was better with the "headphone out" and the adapter "RCA out" when I use my headphones. I don't want to blame the adapter, since my sound card has an headphone amp.
L/R color markings are correct. Decent adapter, just don't expect great quality for this cheap price. - Cable - Cables To Go - Headphones - Electronic Headphone Adapter'

Ledonne
I have arthritis and find it difficult to carry a bag that rests on one shoulder. This bag is so convenient -- it has a place for everything and everything stays in place. I'd have given it five stars, but six months down the road, the color is not what it was and one of the zippers sticks. Le Donne Leather Women's Multi Pocket Back Pack Purse (Black)
I was looking for a leather mid size purse backpack and this was perfect nice leather love red holds everything my purse did.I liked the zipper that closed the top off with flap cover so nobody can reach in when its on my back. Some styles looked to much like mans pack this most women will love it leathers soft. The only thing side zippers alittle hard to get in but I can live with it very cute for travel. Will buy another one in diffrent colors for fall.
This bag is roomy enough for me to stuff a water bottle, large wallet, and small knit jacket in; it has plenty of compartments so everything has it's own place; AND it has proven to be very durable. This is the best purse I have owned.
El cuero del morral es de muy buena calidad que era una de las cosas que mas me preocupaba de comprarlo por internet. Es bastante comodo con varios bolsillos, la longitud de las asas son ajustables. Los cierres aparentemente son de buena calidad tambien.

Child Sized Uniform - daria
The Scooter Skort is made out of quality material. Once the item has been washed, it is not wrinkly. It must be made out of some type of anti wrinkle material. The skort arrived in a timely manner and the price was good. French Toast Uniforms Girls' Plus Size Scooter Skort (Black 20.5)
This skort is made with a polyester material so *warning* it feels like a uniform. The shorts are made of the same material as the skirt Don't think she'll be wearing it when she goes to public school next year. It is super cute on though and will hold it's shape. Very dark navy, my daughter calls it her black skirt. I ordered the size five for her she is in kindergarten and on the slim side of average height and build. The skirt is a bit loose but did not require adjustment. There is an elastic gather in the back so she would be able to wear it for several years. I paid 6.99 which is what the price tag said plus less than 3 dollars shipping. (I would have paid more than that in gas driving out to a uniform store for a single skirt.) All together the skirt set me back ten dollars which is what I paid for the khaki skirt I found for her at our local Old Navy store.
I bought this skort for my great grand daughter and it fits perfect. She is a size 4 and some of her uniforms for school are too long and others too short. This one is the perfect fit and length. I will certainly buy more clothes for her from French Toast.
I ordered 2 khaki skirts and received them yesterday. I have to say that I expected the quality to be inferior; however, the quality of the fabric was surprisingly good. The skirts were very stylish and my daughter loved them. Will buy again from this company.
My granddaughter lives with me and goes to a school where she has to wear a uniform. The uniform skorts here cost $5.00 more than CookiesKids charge and the quality is superb. The skort will last all year with a washing once a week. Thanks CookiesKids and Amazon.com.
I paid $7.99 + shipping($5) for this product and when I got the dress, it had a tag of $6.99. I ordered it in Khaki and does not look like how it is in picture. Most kid uniforms have adjustment belt inside and this one does not. Do NOT even want to give one star! It does not fit my 6 yr old daughter...way to big for her at the waist.
I ordered it from a DPO address arrived in a timely manner. We have owned it over a month, with no problems until the last washing. The fabric theBuckles are hooked too came off. The the stiching of the fabric came unraveled. It is still wearable, but now it looks like something is missing. Tried sewing them back on, but couldn't make it look the same.
It does wash well, no wrinkles. - Daria'

Pressure Points - vital points, pressure points
I have just about every book imaginable on Kyusho-Jitsu/Dim-Mak/Pressure Points. And as a black belt in Shin Mae Shorin Ryu, I incorporate pressure points into everything that I do.
Let me just say that I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!
It is the most thorough book I have ever seen on the subject. This knowledge is that of true martial arts masters. Sang H. Kim is a great author & martial artist, but he really out did himself with this work!
He obviously worked hard on this book. He clearly shows & describes the points & he also shows many excellent applications.
I don't often say this, but this book is worth much more than it is being sold for!
These are the secrets that the ancient masters guarded so closely.
You cannot put a price on this kind of knowledge!!! Vital Point Strikes: The Art and Science of Striking Vital Targets for Self-defense and Combat Sports
I purchased the Kindle version of this. It's a good book and highly recommend it for advanced karate students. I purchased the Kindle version however, and the graphics were hard to see. Buy it in paper instead.
Well, the reason for the five stars is the presentation, which is VERY solid compared to most martial arts books.. The charts and graphs are clear, althought the black clothes sometimes make it hard to see. Not for beginners .. The tecniques usually need a lot of transition to happen
Seems a good item to maximize strikes... The only thing that disapointed me is that some points are a bit vague... Without more references like "2 inches bellow collarbone" became "bellow the joint of collarbone and shoulder" Without a solid reference sometimes, it became hard to get the point..
Thinking in the past, it would be a highly treasured manual for striking some 100 or 150 years ago... Now its just as good... Just a little more care with the pictures and point descriptions would make it totally perfect... But that will surely be fixed in a second edition
This book is simply amazing.
Huge amount of information, and photos.
Its the best book on Dim Mak/Kyusho, if you are looking for a book with basically everything about this theme( vital points, techniques, applications, drills, etc ), this is the one.
Finally a good book on pressure points.
First things first, this book is excellent. Sang H. Kim has no equal in his art, and I have nothing but full respect for him. Pressure points were a specialty of mine when I was still active in competitive martial arts, and while my outlook on fighting has changed over the years, it's best to end a fight quickly, and going for the vitals is the surefire way to do that. The presentation of this book is very well-organized, has many useful pictures, charts and photos showing every single pressure point [except two I know of that are best kept out of books to the public] and how to apply the strikes in real life situations. This isn't your standard martial arts book that shows you to 'do this if this happens', but it thoroughly explains everything and why you're doing it. My only gripe is with the photos and that they aren't in color, but black and white, so -sometimes- it's hard to see certain things, but usually everything's very clear.
But my main criticism is that this book is extremely dangerous, and I don't think it should've been released with this much information. Any martial artist of any rank can get it, read a few pages, think they're a killing machine, and then will either hurt someone else very seriously, or do something wrong and get hurt them self. Please, if you're interested in getting this book and have martial arts experience, ask your master about it if they know anything. As someone who was on the receiving end of a pressure point strike over 10 years ago, I still haven't recovered from a hit on my inner elbow, and can't hold my arm still without continuous shaking. But if you're using this book for reference and to know what points to keep more protected, that'd be the best reason to get this.
Again, the book itself is an excellent resource, and I wish it had been out when I was younger. Seeing just how many pressure points there are on the human body is incredible, and knowing that you're doing acupuncture in reverse with the knowledge on these pages isn't something to take lightly. Please use the utmost care if you plan on actually using the techniques in this book.
If you are looking for answers when it comes to realistic application of pressure point strikes and a deep discussion of practical close-quarters combat, this is a book you will want to read and add to your shelf.
This work is not for beginners, but anyone starting from intermediate level in any martial art will greatly benefit from it.
Vital Point Strikes by Sang H. Kim is a thorough book on the vulnerable spots of the human body. It has sections on both Western and Eastern views on vital areas. It talks of the nervous system of Western anatomy and the body's meridians of Eastern medicine, and shows a correlation between the two. It is well illustrated with many anatomical drawings, and it has many photos illustrating striking methods and other self-defense scenarios such as disarming assailants with weapons. One should, however, be aware of the disclaimer that the techniques are not to be misused, and that it is written simply to inform. Also it has a disclaimer that there may be a few inaccuracies in it. But all in all I find it an excellent book for the studies of the martial artist of any style.
This is a great book for pressure point information, and one of the few books that combines Eastern and Western ideas and reasons for striking a specific area. I would have given this book a 5 star rating but some of the techniques shown and fighting strategies shown in the book are questionable at best. But, the pressure point and other anatomical information was enough for me to give it a 4 star rating. - Fighting - Vital Points - Self Defense - Pressure Points'

Martial Arts Movies - kung fu, movie karate
Some of the titles in MARTIAL ARTS 50 MOVIE PACK are so obscure, very little information could be gotten about them. A couple of selections here are from a long-forgotten American TV series. There's even a few spaghetti-karate films thrown into the mix. The majority however originate in the Far East: Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines.
Lots of choreography went into the making of these movies; undoubtedly, there were a few unintentional injuries along the way, too. The action and pratfalls are non-stop and the plots mere window dressing for the foot-to-head combat scenes. For all martial arts fans these cinematic slugfests are sure-to-please.
Overall rating was achieved by averaging out viewer polling on 42 of these titles. Based on a film resource website's 1 to 10 scoring system, the current rating for MARTIAL ARTS is: 4.8.

This collection is well worth every penny you'll spend on it, as long you enjoy this film genre. Personally, these movies evoke more laughter for me than most of the comedies being currently released. Some of the movies don't really qualify as martial arts movies - in particular, I'm referring to Black Cobra 1, 2, and 3 - three of the worst movies ever made. These movies, starring former NFL player Fred "The Hammer" Williamson would more appropriately be categorized as action movies, although there isn't a Hell of a lot of action in them. I digress. The point is that there are maybe 3 punches thrown in the entire first movie. It's definitely not a martial arts movie. Most of the movies in this collection, however, are exactly what you would expect. In particular, there are three movies, Ninja Death 1, 2, and 3 that are so awful that they border on greatness. I'm not a film student, so I couldn't tell you what the filming technique is called wherein the "actors" fight in slow-motion, and then the film is sped up to make the fights look like they are taking place at a normal speed. The director of these Ninja Death movies sped the fights up too much, and the result is that every battle looks like an episode of the Benny Hill show. I put these kind of crappy movies on at night to fall asleep to (spaghetti westerns and cheesy horror flicks work well also), but Ninja Death kept me awake and laughing. None of the movies in this collection are big budget - they are all old, and the sound and picture quality is poor, but that adds, not detracts, to the experience of watching them. If you "get" these kinds of films, you absolutely can't go wrong spending the money on this collection. - Dvd Box Sets - Dvd Multi-packs - Movie Karate - Kung Fu'

Sound Card - laptop, external sound card
I purchased the Soundblaster X-Fi to replace the soundcard on my laptop which had recently begun to degrade. My laptop is connected to my stereo system and I have very high standards for sound quality.
The initial setup was easy on Windows 7 - 64bit(simply plug-in via USB). The included installation CD installed all the drivers and applications (it took about 45 minutes including updates).
Once installed the sound card exceeded my expectations. The sound is pristine. My music files have never sounded so good. The included equalizer works perfectly and works for all types of applications, e.g., itunes, steaming music, etc. There's all kinds of additional software for adjusting video sound, e.g., dolby, THX which I haven't experimented with yet.
I highly recommend this product - simple to install, reasonably priced, and produces beautiful sound. Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro USB Audio System with THX SB1095
I got this to use in place of my ThinkPad's built-in sound. I'd assumed for years that sound cards these days were not noticeably different at performing basic tasks like listening to iTunes, but this one is definitely better than the ThinkPad's. Perhaps it takes a better than average pair of speakers to tell a difference. It is working great and the M-Audio Studiophile AV30 Professional Reference Speakers sound much, much better.
My only minor criticisms are the size (there is a smaller USB stick available) and the top-mounted volume control - do we really need another one?? - which makes it difficult to stack anything on top.
I allowed Windows 7 to install default drivers - which it did quickly and painlessly - rather than installing the Creative Labs software, so I have barely scratched the surface of what the card is capable of. I haven't tried any audio special effects/processing or 5.1 sound. But, I can recommend it if you just want good quality stereo sound rather than the surprisingly inferior sound that comes on a laptop or desktop motherboard.
This external sound card blows away your standard onboard computer sound. It works by blocking your inferior internal sound board. Now i can hear more detail in my music with better clarity.I had to go this route because my computer case is micro. This little guy can turn a pirated Tron cam rip into a nice 5.1 sound with no latency true story.I'm glad i don't read neg amazon reviews because i could have missed out on a great product.
certain features simply do not work, like the realtime processing of 5.1 channels over the optical channel. Works w/ windows xp, but vista and 7 are out.
says the card is fully win7 compliant, but clearly it is not.
However the sound quality is exceptionally better than what you get w/ most onboard processors.
Im a movie enthusiast so if you want to turn your PC or Laptop into a home theater system, its a good purchase. I bought it under $80. Now, be sure to buy yourself a good 2.1 or 5.1 audio system cause it just wouldnt be the same with your regular computer speakers.
I purchased this product for use with an old dell laptop that only runs music. The product works great connecting the laptop to my home stero. Like the sound and the controls the software provides. I would recomend this product to friends.
Who I am and what I use audio for:
I'm 27, I edit short films and game. I've been a PC gamer since the late 80's and have purchased a good share of different sound cards, almost all of these PCI cards. I usually kept my sound card purchases at no more than $100. However I recently purchased a new laptop (Dell Precision M6500) and was not at all impressed by the IDT audio that was available on board. I looked at my options and really cringed at the thought of "USB audio". After plugging this in and messing with all the amazing settings (Finally being able to use my 5.1 again, YES!) I was quite surprised when the device out performed my desktop's internal Creative Sound Blaster Audigy in terms of depth and just overall sound quality. If you are looking to improve laptop sound this is a great idea, just make sure you have some decent speakers to go along with this.
I guess the only negative I can see is the fact that is uses up one of my USB ports which I always seem to be running out of with my laptop, however that was not enough reason to diminish the rating.
I have an old 5+1 speaker system and I am using it via this sound card on Windows 7 64-bit OS. First of all this device is designed very well. It looks
pretty good. Volume whell and remote control are also very useful. I only install and use entertainement console. This sound card makes addiction!
+ Portable. Also suitable for a desktop PC
+ Great price for this kind of product
+ Clear sound
+ THX Certificated
+ Surround option for listening musics within 5+1 sound system
+ Crystalizer makes you discover your music archive again. It is such a great tech
+ You can connect 2+1 or 5+1 speaker systems. You can not do this by using an onboard sound card.
+ Headphone mode is automatically activated when you connect a headphone. So you can listen 6 channel sounds (like dolby digital or dts)
by using your headphone without switching from entertainment console. It is restored when you plug out.
+ Optical output
I think this device's driver crashes when used with ESET Smart Secutity (not NOD32) software. If you do not have such problem, let me
know. I do not want to wrongly instruct.
I found this product to be just what I was looking for, an excellent USB Audio system for my Windows 7 machine. Works great and I like having control of my headphone volume with the knob on top. The only nits I have are with Windows 7 itself and multiple audio devices. Windows 7 has its own ideas about where to send your audio. Often I end up having to use the Windows 7 Sound panel to turn on/off the speaker and SPDIF devices to get the sound to go where I want it. It would be nice if Windows 7 had an audio patch panel to control this.
I also read a review where this device doesn't support EAX. That is not true. It does support EAX sound environments natively. The confusion may be over EAX for game sound effects. This is not supported in hardware, but is supported by software emulation (and probably why Creative doesn't put a checkmark in their EAX support column for this device). This may have been a negative for Windows XP class machines, but is no problem on a Windows 7 machine. In any case, I tried a couple of older games that used EAX and they worked fine using the emulation. - External Sound Card - Laptop - Audio - Sound Card'

Solid Color Ties - kids tie, handsome tuxedo
I ordered these suits for my sons (6 yr old and 2 yr old) on short notice due to the fact my sister's husband and passed away unexpectedly. I ordered them on a Tuesday as I was on my way out the door to drive us to Virginia (from Texas) to support my sister and attend her husband's service. The suits arrived at my sister's house on Thursday (just 2 days later!) and the service was held Friday evening. THANK YOU for coming through for us... for providing wonderful, quality garments in an absolutely timely manner. I will definitely purchase from this vendor again! Gino Giovanni Formal Boy Black Suit From Baby to Teen (4T)
My wife and I bought this little tux for our 2 year-old for a wedding. It was inexpensive and fit rather well. The zipper tie was great because there's no way you're getting a 2 year-old to stand still long enough to tie a real knot. The tux came with a nice plastic bag to keep it clean during delivery and to keep clean until we needed it. A great purchase for anyone needing a toddler tux.
I ordered this suit two weeks before my brother's wedding for my son. I was nervous it wouldn't arrive in time (there was also a holiday in there as well, make the working days even less), but the price to pay shipping above standard was ridiculous, so I took the chance and ordered it regular on a Sunday evening. I GOT THE SUIT TWO DAYS LATER ON TUESDAY EVENING!! I was SOOOO pleased with that fast service. The suit is perfect, and my little toddler son looks absolutely adorable.
The suit is a run-of-the-mill polyester cheap suit, but I wouldn't want to invest too much in a suit for my son when he's going to outgrow it next week. It looked cute. Everyone cooed. The company originally sent me the wrong size jacket (be sure to order the correct size... there is a HUGE difference between sizes!), but they fixed their mistake as soon as I brought it to their attention. All in all, I was pleased with this purchase. The vest really sold it! Cute!!!
Very pleased with this product. Good cut, very black, and a terrific price for all the pieces. Shipping was incredibly fast. Plus, my seven year old son says it's comfortable. What more could you ask for?
This is the worst suit I ever seen, the price is low, but the quality is too.
Don't waste your money or time. They are liers too, they told me to delete my reviw to give me my money back, after I did it, they didn't give me my money.PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM THEM, THEY ARE DISHONEST.
It seems that this works for little children, but I bought this for my 10 year old, a size 14, assuming I'd take it in. The pants were way too tight and the jacket was way too big. The quality is terrible. The feel of the fabric, etc. It looks like it will fall apart in no time. Again, for a 2 year old, this is fine, and you can get away with a cheaper quality suit. Now I think I'll have to pay a restocking fee on this piece of junk.
My son wore this for a wedding. It is lightweight and was very comfortable for him. The white shirt is cheap but can't really see it anyway. The price was great considering it costs more to have it tailored than the entire price of the suit. We were happy with the appearance.
Floored! Ordered for my 4 year old in a size 6 for my brother's wedding. He loves it! I love it! Everyone loves it!! Arrived a day earlier then estimation given, looks SHARP! Price was spectacular, absolutely perfect! Thanks so much! Nice Quality, what a find! Recommended most definitey!!
Very nice product, well packaged and fast shipping. I had an issue with a tie that came with the suit and customer service assures me that a new one will be sent right away. The suit is excellent in quality and fits my son perfectly. He wore it in a wedding as a ring bearer and was comfortable for the majority of the night. - Boys Tie - Kids Tie - Tuxedo - Handsome Tuxedo'

Macbook Memory - apple, macbook memory
I have been running with this RAM in my MacBook Pro 17 (Summer 2009) for over 6 weeks. Not one lockup/freeze or problem of any kind. Programs are faster in general and I don't worry about closing applications any more. Apple computers through the years have been extremely finicky about RAM quality. I can't recommend these SO-DIMM's high enough. I put my old factory 2GB sticks for the MacBook Pro 17 into my wife's new MacBook 13. That worked perfectly..
These two 4GB SO-DIMM sticks cost $1200 from Apple directly. Spoil yourself and don't feel guilty about buying them here for much less -- especially if you use Parallels Desktop, or VMWare. Kingston will back you up, Amazon will also. Kingston Apple 8GB Kit (2x4GB Modules) 1066MHz DDR3 SODIMM iMac and Macbook Memory (KTA-MB1066K2/8G)
I purchased a 2010 model mac mini with only 2GB memory knowing that eventually I would upgrade the memory. After about 6 months, I found the computer lagging when using iphoto, photoshop and powerpoint at the same time (which I do often). I looked into the memory upgrade. Apple wanted $600 for 8GB memory but I found these Kingstons for under $100 on Amazon. They arrived within a day, installed within 5 minutes and when I booted up my mac it immediately recognized the memory and had improved productivity. I now can work with all of my memory eating applications open without problem, and I've noticed great improvement in web surfing and just general use of the computer. I am VERY pleased!
I bought this RAM as an upgrade to my MacBook Pro. The RAM seemed good for a few days, but I soon discovered it was the source of my Mac's Kernel Panics that started shortly after installing the RAM. It seemed to be associated with filling a certain area of the RAM, because my machine would work fine, until I had a lot of memory-intensive programs running. Often the problem would happen when putting the MacBook to sleep. At last, the RAM just totally died -- I got the 3 longs beeps of death when I turned my Mac on. What a sinking feeling that is! I put the original RAM back and, fortunately my Mac seemed okay. I returned the RAM to Amazon for a replacement. Amazon was wonderful -- they even sent me the replacement RAM before I had returned the product to them. The new RAM also seemed to be fine for a few days, maybe almost a week. Then I started getting Kernel Panics again. At that point, I decided I would just live with 4G of RAM and forget trying to upgrade to 8G. Amazon was wonderful again about returning the product, this time for a full refund. I questioned myself, that maybe I installed the RAM wrong. But then I answer myself that every time I put the original RAM back everything is fine. So I'm pretty sure that either: out of each batch of 2 RAM chips, at least one was bad each time, or, the Mac OSX Snow Leopard does not handle 8G RAM. Whatever the case, I am sure that I install the Kingston RAM, I get Kernel Panics, I put the original RAM back and the Kernel Panics go away.
You may be suspicious about my report and I don't blame you. I am surprised at this behavior myself since I have been installing my own RAM in PCs for 2 decades and I cannot think of a single instance where the new RAM was bad; until this experience, that is.
I have a brand new Macbook Pro 13" with the 2.4ghz processor. I am running the Kingston 8GB kit with a G. Skill 120GB SSD, the computer screams and could only imagine if I opted for the 15" with the i7 but the way I have it now my 13" is too fast for what I need anyways. The ram got a 4 for ease of use because I had to reset my PRAM upon installation. The computer was slow at first, booted into the diagnostic tools, memory passed all diagnostic checks so just went wil simple troubleshooting steps by resetting the PRAM/NVRAM and the SMC for good measure. Computer booted up in less than 8 seconds and runs Logic Studio, Apurture Pro (while rendering) and designing scripts all at the same time with little to no lag.
If you have a bad set of RAM don't rate it a 0 unless you run a memory diagnostic, reset PRAM, and have confirmation that it is the ram. People switch back to their original apple ram and it runs fine because yeah, snow leopard pre-caches information. If you reset that pre-cache I beet most of these guys wouldn't need a new set of ram.
RESET PRAM (hold option + command + R + P and press the power button, let it go to the white screen and restart and et go of all the keys). Also go to apple.com/support not some cheesy Mac forum I troll those forums and people are idiots on most of them.
I received the RAM ahead of expected time in good shape and at a great price. I've been using this memory for over two months and it works flawlessly. I would not hesitate to recommend this RAM to those seeking to maximize their memory on MacBook Pros.
Although the specs claim that you can upgrade only up to 4 GB ( 2 GB in each slot), this 8 GB RAM works great in my MacBook ( not just the PRO version- this is the regular Whilte polycarb Unibody version). Makes a distinct difference vs. the 2 GB standard that came with my MacBook. I had found several references to its compatibility with a MacBook Pro, however no one had verified this to work with just a MacBook. The specs for a 13' Macbook pro and Macbook were almost the same except for the aluminium unibody vs the polycarbonate, and this worked with the MacBook without any problems.
Installing the 8 GB RAM was a 10 minute task. It took some time to dig up the right precision screwdriver bit. First shutdown the Macbook then remove the 8 screws to expose the RAM. Discharge static electricity and then remove the existing RAM ( follow instructions given in the 'Everything MAC' manual if needed) . Plug in the new RAM and fix back the screws. Boot back up..Go to MAC>About this Mac, to see the 8 GB in action,..
The Macbook is much faster now. All apps , from Google Chrome to XCode run quite smoothly. - Macbook Memory - Ddr3 1066 - 8gb - Apple'
