Digital Camera Accessory - class 10, 16 gb

I purchased this for use with my new Canon T2i. I use it primarily for shooting full resolution 1080p video, although I shoot stills as well.

The camera choked on the class 4 chip that I originally purchased, but with this one, it is amazing. I can shoot rapidfire 18 megapixel stills (I've tested it up to 30+ shots in a row), and there is no lag. I've never had an error when shooting hi-def video.

Highly recommended! I'm buying another one. Transcend 16GB Class 10 SDHC Card (TS16GSDHC10)

I bought this card for my Canon T1i. The card I had been using before ordering this one was a Kingston Class 6 micro sd card and it worked well enough for the type of shooting I did. Class 6 was the card speed that Canon recommended when I bought my T1i (Class 10 cards were not yet available) and it seemed fast enough for the way I used my camera - isolated single photos taken at Medium (8 MP) or Large (15 MP) jpg settings and 1280 x 720 video. And while I ocassionally took continuous photos, I had never much exceeded 5-10 photos in a row and had never run into a problem with my Class 6 card.

When I first saw the Class 10 cards I did some experiments with my camera. How many continuous Large photos could I take before the camera slowed down? It turned out to be about 30. And how many RAW photos could I take before the camera slowed down? It turned out to be about 9. SInce I did not generally take any photos in RAW and never needed more than about 10 continuous photos at Large, the Class 6 card seemed more than sufficient for my needs. But I wondered about the speed of the Class 10 cards enough that I finally bought one.

It turns out that the Class 10 card is sufficiently fast that there does not seem to be a reasonable upper limit on single Large photos. I have taken 60 on continuous without an issue. And although I still cannot take more than 9 RAW photos on continuous with the Class 10 card, when I am finished taking those photos the camera no longer displays a Wait - writing pictures screen. The RAW photos get written from the built-in memory to the card so quickly that the camera does not need to display the Wait screen.

So this card is fast! Given the way I take photos this purchase was unnecessary, but still I am glad I bought it. I know I will not run into a situation where speed is an issue with this card.

I will be writing this review for both SanDisk Extreme SDHC class 10 8gb and Transcend SDHC class 10 16gb.

I bought SanDisk class 10 and Transcend class 10 for my new Panasonic LX5. I got both card because no one really did a comparison with a compact camera and I was just going crazy trying to see if there is any big difference between the 2 cards.

SanDisk Extreme package box indicated it's water proof, x-ray proof, shock proof, temperature proof. I am not ready to spend $50 to see if it really stand up to it's words. And I don't think normal people would go through the extreme condition in taking pictures or videos.

Cut the story short, I really want to see if there is any difference in writing performance between the 2 cards in a compact camera. There is a continuous burst mode in LX5 and the manual indicated it is only limited by the condition of picture environment and performance of the SD card. Within the mode there are 2 different settings:1) speed priority or 2) picture/quality priority. The shutter speed is much faster with speed priority compare to picture priority.

I first formatted both cards out of box then put each card in series of test(3 rounds each setting for each card) shooting at the same object under same lighting condition. The results:

Speed Priority:

SanDisk Class 10 8gb

22-33 shots before camera stopped to allow the card to catch up with writing.

Transcend Class 10 16gb

22-24 shots before camera stopped to allow the card to catch up with writing.

Picture priority

SanDisk Class 10 8gb

34-46 shots before camera stopped

Transcend Class 10 16gb

27-33 shots before camera stopped

It seems that at a higher shutter speed, both cards performed very similar under the same shooting condition. But at a slower shutter speed the SanDisk definitely out perform Transcend. I hope this little experiment satisfied anyone with curiosity like me. Transcend definitely is a bargain with 16gb and almost half of the price compare to SanDisk. But I am going to use SanDisk Extreme as my primary card and Transcend as backup or on a second camera to ensure i would not miss any shots.

OK. this card was around $47 for a class 10 16gb. The other card i bought was a Sandisk class 10 8gb for the around same price. I did a 10 sec stop watch test on both cards with my Rebel T1i on raw and the Sandisk was only faster by 1 shot in a 10 sec burst. to me it seems trivial to pay 47 bucks for a Sandisk 8gig when you can get 16 gigs for the same price. yes i know, the Sandisk is good for arctic and desert temperatures... but i live in western NY... not Antarctica or the Sahara. If your looking for a good card, with more gigs for your buck, the Transcend is well worth it.

The "C10" is for "minimum sustaining speed" of 10mbps. The sustaining speed is critical if you're using for HD camcorder. There is other brand card that is also c10 but it costs more (2x) for its print of 30mbps on the card. It leads consumers into thinking that the higher price is worth for the 30mbps. However, the 30mbps is the "burst" speed. Burst speed is critical for HD camera and for doing copies. I have a HD camcorder and I'm very satisfied with this card after many hours for recording. I bought this card to do 100% of recording so it is the right price. I would buy the other high price brand card of 30mbps if I will do a lot of picture taking. The bottom line is to buy for the purpose of your usage. - 16 Gb - Class 10 - Memory Card - Sdhc'

Compact Grill - gas grill, camping

After reading all these glowing reviews, I was expecting the fire of the gods. When it came, my Cuisinart grill was a total disappointment. Can't get hot enough to grill a steak, half the grill surface only gets "warm."

I went back to file my review, and looked more closely at the five star reviews of this product. NOT ONE OF THEM HAS EVER REVIEWED ANOTHER PRODUCT ON AMAZON.

Go back in my review history and you'll see I do my best to post my honest experience with a variety of products (in this category I've also reviewed my beloved Smokin' Tex smoker a couple years ago). So I'm not just one of Cuisinart's employees, taking an afternoon to establish a bunch of phony Amazon identities and post a bunch of fluff about my company's product.

On the plus side, this grill is made as durably as many in its segment. But you'll be better off popping for a Weber Q or even one of Cuisinart's better tabletop models. They make one called the all-foods grill that is much better, and a tabletop charcoal grill that's pretty nice too. There are a variety of other manufacturers making portable models that range from crappy to quite good and cheap to very expensive.

This particular Cuisinart went back to the store, and I chose a Weber Q tabletop model instead. It had less of a discount, but it does a much better job. If I'd had more money I'd have gone with a Napoleon Freestyle--that one can actually double as your main grill at home. It's one of the expensive ones, but if it's going to be your only grill it just might be worth it for you. Coleman makes a portable grill with a folding stand and wheels so you can pull the whole thing around like airport luggage. Pretty cool--but doesn't get hot enough to grill properly. I wish Weber would introduce the rollabout folding stand on its Q grill so it would have the same freestanding, rollabout portability as the Coleman.

But even if you go with Cuisinart's better portable model, you can do better than this portable grill. If I were to buy a Cuisinart, I'd go with the All-Foods. It has a bit more surface area than the Weber Q. But the Q is a bit more portable and has enough cooking surface for my needs, and costs less too. I made my choice with a budget number in mind--and I outspent it by a few dollars. But the Q seems to work right for me, with its shortcomings being less pronounced than the Cuisinart's.

I hope you find the grill that meets your needs. For me it was not this one. It might be just fine for you.

I do resent Cuisinart, a company I admire, using the reviews section on Amazon for advertising. I have several good Cuisinart products and will likely buy others in the future. Guys, leave the review section for actual customers.

Bottom line: I'd buy something else, even within the Cuisinart line. I personally went outside Cuisinart for a portable propane grill. You might not. Caveat emptor. Cuisinart CGG-180 Petit Gourmet Portable Gas Grill with VersaStand

Having read all the conflicting reviews on this grill I was totally confused. I received this grill as a present and was quite concerned that my friend might have wasted her money. I grill a lot on larger gas grills but have never worked on a small portable one, and I do not have the patience to use charcoal.

Here is what it is not: A 3 burner Weber gas grill -- but then it does not pretend to be. Anyone buying this with the anticipation that it will perform with the speed and flexibility of a larger grill will likely be disappointed.

Here is what it is: A very good portable gas grill that takes a minute or two longer to cook steaks, hamburgers, kabobs, chicken, hot dogs etc. It heats up fast, is easy to start and clean and is extremely portable. I liked it a lot and will use it a great deal this summer. To have a grill that is easily transportable and will work off of small tanks of propane is terrific.

I have no idea what all of these raging and conflicting reviews are about, but if you want a good portable gas grill that is easy to work on -- this is it.

After reading the conflicting reviews on this grill I decided to give it a try. I buy numerous items on Amazon and usually dont take the time to review them because I haven't had any problems and dont take the time for positive reviews. However after reading about the supposed fake reviews on this grill I am taking the time to review it. I was looking for a small, inexpensive portable grill to use on the sandbar with my wife and 3 kids when we take the boat out. This grill looked ideal as the legs can be extended to set it up in shallow water or shore without hauling an additional table. The grill arrived and the legs went on in under 5 minutes. I threw on a 2 year old propane bottle that was maybe 1/4 full. I burned off the new crud for 5 minutes and threw on several burgers and hot dogs to give it a try. The burgers were completely frozen. I left the grill on medium high and did the burgers 6 minutes a side. They were very well done and probably on the grill for too long. This is a small grill and 5 hamburgers and a couple hot dogs fill it up. the grill got very hot very quick and I had zero problems lighting it. Time will tell how it stands up to shore use but for a cheap very portable grill to throw some burgers, brats etc I believe its an excellent buy. As the one reviewer said its no 3 burner Weber but I think it will work great for the occassional use of camping, tailgating etc.

UPDATE!! After using this grill on the sandbar all summer I still give it 5 stars. The grill lit easily every time, the legs dropped down and worked great in the shallow water without any issues. The grill will flare up if your cooking some really greasy burgers but with abundant water nearby I simply used the kids squirt gun to douse the flame. Grill cleaned up easily at the end of the season and I look forward to using it again next year. Having hot food after a day on the boat made our outings that much better. - Compact Grill - Barbecue - Camping - Gas Grill'

Speedlite - collapsible, diffuser

This product works extremely well. It fits my canon flash and does a great diffusion job. I've tried a lot of other diffusers and I didn't want to pay more for the Gary Fong type. This one turned out to work really well and I saved some great money. Universal Translucent Dome Flash Diffuser

I do not know why people are complaining. This is made to fit universally, so it may not fit your own flash snugly, but it has an adjustable strap. For the price, this is an excellent value. Similar equipment from Gary Fong may cost you a bundle. I have been using the equipment and extremely happy with its usability. I would recommend this product to anyone interested in diffusing the off camera flash to minimize or avoid shadows.

This unit is great for the price, I purchased 2. My Gary Fong collapsible, at twice the price, does produce a better looking picture. The Fong also seems to allow more flash through. I am using these on my off camera slave flashes and they work great for that. You have to remember you loose 1-2 stops with these. The orange dome and kicker chrome dome fit my GFong as well. That was a bonus to the purchase.

This is a pretty good alternative to the expensive Gary Fong diffusers. When I opened it, I was surprised that the diffuser was actually made of rubber and was quite see-through. The caps that go on top are made of plastic. After doing a few shots indoors, I can say that the diffuser does what it's supposed to: diffuse light. It's not going to give you miraculous shots, but it will give a more softer, more all-around flash than without it. It does take some time to learn the angles though and to properly get some of the lighting right, but after some practice, I'm sure any photographer will get used to it. My only gripe with it is that it didn't really give any instructions on how to use the product, but that's what search engines are for. Overall, you get your money's worth for this very inexpensive product.

VERY POOR QUALITY, Pieces don't fit. Seller makes it seem that this is a Gary Fong kit, it is not and the pieces not only do not fit on themselves, they also do not fit at all on Gary Fong. The translucent sleeve is too small for the domes and crome fitting pieces so they DO NOT STAY ON (falls right off in the middle of shooting), and the dome fitting pieces are too small for Gary Fong. DONT WASTE your time you will just return it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0040VVIBK/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title - Flash Accessories - Diffuser - Collapsible - Flash Diffuser'

Desk Organizer

I bought this to replace a clear plastic cup with swing out drawers that were always hanging open. I use this for my three kids to do their homework at the kitchen table. It holds everything they need, no excuses to get up looking for things. There are four pen compartments. You can fit probably a dozen Bic-sized pens in each. I use them for pencils, pens, markers, and crayons (and a pair of small scissors). The top has three open compartments that are great for erasers, paper clips, elastic bands, and a glue stick or two. The drawer is pretty big and can hold various items. We use it for sticky paper to mark pages or make quick notes. It is sturdy, I have no fears that it will fall apart. When homework is done or company is coming, I put it out of sight.

I liked it so much I got one for my desk and got rid of two or three random cups and holders. Also, being mesh, it is less likely to get dusty where it is hard to reach! I highly reccomend it! Rolodex Supplies Caddy (1746466)

This is a superbly designed, solidly constructed organizer. It compares very favorably to the near useless, shoddily-made ones I find at my local office supply stores at higher prices. The various sizes and shapes of the compartments are a good mix for holding most anything one would wish to tidily store on one's desk. The visibility that the mesh gives for small items like paper clips is also quite useful.

I'm a frequent user of an eighteen inch metal ruler that, annoyingly, doesn't fit in any handy drawer. This organizer is sufficiently heavy to do great job of storing the ruler without getting all tippy.

It's always a pleasure to find a well made item, thoughtfully designed, at a a reasonable price. I plan to get another one for some of my craft items.

This is a medium guage metal pen / pencil / desk organizer with a bin that can be removed, though it does take some fidgeting to get it out. I think the middle section of this unit could have been designed better, the bin takes up too much space and does not slide out well at all. This leaves less room for pens and pencils and the top sections are an odd size. If you need the big drawer then all is well, but I cannot think of anything but post-it notes to go in there and who needs that many?

The pen / pencil sections are too wide and too shallow so that pens and pencils just kind of flop around and this looks messy on a desk. I brought this to replace the age old mug solution and this has the same overall appearance of something put to uses other than what it was intended to do.

The separate sections of this are welded together and they are not very even joins so it rocks a bit and looks kind of sloppy up close. On the front right of the unit, there is a RoloDex logo and the one I have is very crooked. The logo is stamped into the metal screening so it cannot be fixed and it just makes the whole thing look a bit shabby. For the money I expected something a little more refined than this unit.

Nice Unit For Smaller Needs.

Was a bit smaller than I had hoped for but the measurements are there in the profile so my fault really. Works great and looks great doing it. Have my post-it notes in the small drawer and my magic markers in one holder and pens in another.

Sweet little holder to keep you organized and looks great doing it. No problems with quality at all and worth the money IMO.

But with confidence.

RagenRat

Here's the thing;

I put in an order, and I qualified for fee shipping. Went to my local Walmart to do grocery shopping and to my surprise I found this same exact caddy for $8.44 that's $6.68 less that what this seller is selling it for. I'm sorry but that's a rip off.

On the other hand, the caddy is pretty awesome. it keeps everything well organized. I love it. I strongly recommend to do more research before buying it from Amazon though... =]

I often have too much on my desk and this is the perfect size with the right amount of compartments for me. Its sturdy, yet lightweight without being tippy at all. I love it because now I have all the items I need on a regular basis in one area and there is no more searching in my desk drawers.

this is a nice large pen and other supplies holder .. i have a MILLION pens and i LOVE posit notes this fits everything in one nice space for me .. i got sooo tired of going back and forth to get this and that .. well no more .. my tape my letter opener all the pens anything i can think of is right there in front of me .. being 9 mo pregnant you have no idea how nice that it ... so yet im very happy with this .. it's simple it's not the cutest but it goes with what i have going on in my living room at this time

The Rolodex caddy is really a perfect desk organizer dreams because pen and pencils, posits and anything that can fit into this product make a job easier, time is always a factor so having whatever you need at your finger tips is always a big help. So I rate this product a five star and for its usage and cost and its appearance. 9 it looks good )

I used to have one of those round cup type organizers where you can place just pencils and pens. But you can't really separate them and have them look organized.

With the rolodex supplies caddy, I've organized my pens, pencils, box cutters, highlighters, paperclips, post-it notes, rubber bands, and scissors.

Talk about useful, THIS IS IT. Worth every penny.'

Lavatory Faucet

I purchased two of these for our bathrooms. The color of this faucet is perfect. It is not at all black like the similar Kingston Brass one offered. The only problem I had is that the faucet conmnections were to short to fit their 3cm granite vanity tops, so we had to purchase an adapter for them. Other than that, I love them! Hardware House H10-7259 Artesian Two Handle Lavatory Faucet with Pop-up, Oil Rubbed Bronze

This faucet is a great deal for the price. Easy to install, and no issues to date. The actual handle part that you spin to turn off/on occassionally loosens but you can just twist it back with your hand.

I saw this faucet and was amazed at the price after shopping similar ones at the local big box home improvement stores. It came within 30 hours after ordering! FREE shipping because I have the "Amazon Prime" membership which I highly recommend! My 14 yr old daughter and I were able to install this together and we love the way it looks. I was also happy that it matched other oil rubbed bronze items that were not the same brand. Great color, great price, great look and great company I will order from again!

For the money, this faucet can't be beat! It appears just as it does in the picture and description. Quality is very nice. I wanted to upgrade an old faucet, and this worked wonderfully. I may purchase a couple more for my other faucets. I would recommend this faucet! (I should mention that I did not install this. My husband did. He did have to buy longer connections for it. Other than that, installation was simple.) We've been using this faucet now for a couple months with no problems.'

Bargain Tee - t-shirt, tees

Bought this shirt because I needed a long sleeve shirt to wear while doing welding and grinding and other things.

This shirt is nice and thick, but not so thick that you sweat to death in it. It's a nice middle between a flannel and a cheap, thin T-shirt.

Keeps me warm on cooler days and is even fine to wear on the warmer ones.

So far so good. RIGGS WORKWEAR by Wrangler Men's Long Sleeve Pocket T- Shirt, Ash Heather, XXX-Large Tall

This is a very well made shirt, much more thick than a normal undershirt, and quite warm on chilly days. I wear it mostly as an undershirt and have been pleased with my purchase, as I have been looking for something that is a little warmer than normal, thin undershirts. It doesn't get too hot if the day warms up a little, which is nice. I guess it is a little expensive to just use as an undershirt, but I am willing to pay a little more for the added thickness and durability it is made with.

My husband loves this shirt. It is comfortable and stylish for even the macho guy. My husband is a gentleman with the macho handsome look. So this is a perfect shirt for chilly day and just great look for every day style. Plus great material! He wears it all the tome on chilly days.

I don't give fives except in extreme circumstances.

These shirts are well made, not a light weight cloth. I got the XL's - I've a 19 1/2 inch neck, 6' tall, and fairly wide wingspan. The neck is comfortable, the sleeves go to the wrist, in about a dozen washings there is no shrinkage. They seem durable and colorfast. I bought them for working in the yard and on cars.

The pocket is a great benefit, and has a little loop inside at the top, perfect for holding sunglasses in place (or a pen for the geek effect).

The only annoyance is the tag, which can be cut off.

These are very good fitting, quality shirts. I'm 6'4" and sometimes finding XLT clothes that fit well at a reasonable price is hard to do. These are great, will keep buying more. Wish they had more colors - I'm stuck on orange myself. - Tees - T-shirt - Workwear - Carhartt'

Active Leggings - halloween, yoga tart

I have enjoyed these leggings so much since I received them as a gift for Christmas (along with KD's sultry sweater dress). I like where they hit me on my torso - not *so* low, like the annoying trendy jeans that seem to be made for 13 year old girls with no hips, and not so high that they give you a wierd line at your belly-button when you wear them under a dress. They're kind of like the 3rd bowl of porridge in "Goldilocks and the Three Bears": 'just right'. Because they're made with KD's signature stretch fabric, they cling to you gently, and move with you beautifully, without sagging at the knees or in the behind. I've gotten countless tights from Target, the Gap, etc. that end up sagging. Who needs sags and wrinkles to add to the junk in their trunk under a dress?! I sometimes wear these to do yoga, in the cooler months, and sometimes lounge in them around the house (my baby loves sitting in my lap when I'm wearing these!), but I also really enjoy wearing them under a dress with boots - you can totally dress them up or down, and they're great either way. New York Black Stretch Knit Dance & Yoga Low Rise Tights by KD dance, Fashionable, Functional, Sexy, Soft & Warm, High Quality Made In New York City USA - Small

although the tights didn't look right, I exchanged them for a pair of leg warmers, which I love! the service person was very professional and communicative. Id def buy from them again, knowing that they take good care of their customers.

If you are thinking about ordering these, just do it. The quality is amazing, the colors are gorgeous (I own several pairs) and the customer service is first rate. There is no "big box" store nor dance apparel maker, i.e. Capezio, Bloch who can compete with the quality of KD Dance ear. And this stuff lasts, I have pieces that I purchased in the mid-1990's that I still wear. This is because each item is made to order at their factory in the Bronx, NY - not a sweat shop in a third world country.

The material is also breathable and soft, so the typical hot and itchy factor found when wearing tights is NOT an issue. I also love the fact that the low rise tights do not create a "muffin top". The low rise tight is wonderful for dance class, but can easily translate to a yoga class. They can also be worn with a dress and boots or a tunic sweater and knee high boots for a fashion forward look. These are also awesome to lounge in during the frigid winters months. KD Dancewear also makes wonderful gifts, I gave a dancer friend of mine a pair of tights and a v-neck top and she told me it was the best present she ever received.

Regarding sizing, check your ego at the door because you will need to order a size up or two. KD Dance customer service offers on point fit advice, so if you have doubts reach out to them.

Trust me, you will not be disappointed with this purchase, in fact you may find yourself addicted to this brand.

This by far the best tights I have owned. The waist sits perfectly right below my belly button. Its a perfect fit-without being too tight or too loose. It doesnt sag like other cheap tights. The fabric rests on the skin, hugging all your contours. This well-knit stretchy sweater is breathable, light, and sexy.

I love to wear this with my sexy matching sweater dress, also from KD dance. You can wear these with little denim skirts, long tunic tops, under long dresses for extra warmth, and of course for dancing!

The bubble pink is a soft, yet wonderful pastel color. This is a superb pair of tights!

Thank you KD dance for all your awesome products!!!

This is the second product I have purchased from KD and I'm falling in love with the quality and softness of their knits! In one day I wore these to school under a dress, then went on to ballet class after! So cozy & fashion forward. You'll like the waistband as well, Thin, low, and does not squeeze. - Halloween - Leggings - Teal Tights - Yoga Tart'

Automatic Movement - automatic movement, divers watch

This the THE watch that put Invicta on the map. Styled after the Rolex Submariner, the 8926 has a very solid feel to it.

Mechanical watches can cost thousands of dollars and need to be serviced every 2-3 years. They have to be either worn daily, stored on a watch winder, or hand-wound lest they stop ticking and have to be re-set. Even with due diligence, premium timepieces have to be manually adjusted every month because they will run a couple of minutes fast or slow. Are you willing to put up with this just to own "a work of art?" That is the big question someone with a casual (or fleeting) interest must ask themselves. But at Invicta's price point, this is a perfect way to find out.

Ironically, mechanical watches are a joy to wear because of their complications. The back case is covered by a mineral crystal, so you can actually see the inner workings. The second hand sweeps around the dial, which I think is more elegant than a quartz movement. The aesthetic quality is the main selling point. We are really talking about men's jewelry here folks. With clocks, cell phones, tv and the like, it is not hard to find out the correct time. So to me, a mechanical watch is worth the idiosyncrasies. Buy the Invicta and wear it for a couple of years. This way, when your are ready to drop $2500 on an Omega, $5000 on the Rolex, or $100,000 on a Patek Philippe, at least you will have an idea of what you have gotten yourself into. Invicta Men's 8926OB Pro Diver Collection Coin-Edge Automatic Watch

Why should you buy this watch? Well, you could just like watches, or a diver.

However, you don't have to be a "pro-diver" to use one of these watches. I've worn these types of watches for more than 25 years and have done little more than dive on coral 15-20 feet down. These watches last.

Invicta's 8926OB (for Original Bezel) is almost a duplicate of a Rolex Sea Master. So much so, Rolex threatened legal action unless parts were changed. The Rolex timepiece will probably last longer, but at $3,000 it should. The Invicta is a working man's (woman's) watch. Mine keeps good time and I rarely adjust it. It's an automatic movement watch -- not a quartz watch.

That means it is a self-winding watch. And that's fine. I doubt anybody reading this needs a hyper-precise watch for everyday life. We all like to think of ourselves as underwater demo team members or 21st Century 007s, but that's not the case.

Probably one of the benefits of Invicta is its presentation. The watch comes in an attractive case, and it has a polishing cloth. It practically blinds you with its silver bracelet.

There are drawbacks though. Every Invicta watch I've got has a delicate crown and stem. The crown also winds the watch, like normal, but when you move it out to the other settings then you REALLY have to be careful opening it. Delicately pop it out to the A or B setting. The first, or A, setting is for changing the date. The second, or B, setting is to move the hands.

The crown screws down and is secure. So, you don't have to worry about it snagging anything.

Just a note on the Original Bezel versus the newer 8296 scalloped, or Omega type, bezel: It's sort of a coin edge, and, to me, it is easier to turn. The scalloped type requires too much pressure and over a few weeks of use it starts to feel like it is wearing out.

I use mine to measure elapsed time for exercise and other events. It's not 100-percent precise like a chronograph, but gives me what I need.

Just to recap, this would make a good, inexpensive, gift that definitely looks like it is more of an investment than it is.

I've had my 8926C for at least 5 years now. I never take it off; I shower with it everyday; I do hard, physical, dirty, outside geology work with it; I beat the &#%$ out of this watch. It's all scratched up (if you look closely), but still looks great; it works perfectly and I LOVE IT! I get compliments on it all the time. After the first few months of resetting it now and then it's kept time to within about 1 minute every couple of months (about 1 second per day). I like watching the Japanese Miyota movement better than the Swiss Silleta movement because you can actually see the balance wheel spinning back and forth and the anchor lever and ruby (jewel) pallets ticking away on the escape wheel. You can only see the balance wheel on the 9937's Swiss movement. Several of the ruby (jewel) bearings area visible on both movements. Speaking of visible, the Tritnite glowing material glows brightly all night. The date window on the front crystal magnifies slightly, less than the 9937's, but the date is no more or less readable than on the 9937. My front crystal is slightly scratched, but it looks pretty good for all the abuse it's seen. The back crystal is perfect. If I could change one thing, I'd put solid end links on the bracelet and screw them to the case like the 9937. I break the spring bars (pins) about twice a year, but only because I'm very rough on the watch. I actually like the 8926's stamped clasp better than the 9937's "solid" clasp because the solid one actually has a very narrow connection to its stamped end piece which is no thicker than the wider stamped clasp on this watch. The 8926's clasp isn't as pretty as the 9937's, but I trust the 8926's more; and who sees the clasp anyway? All said, this watch is a very good-looking, bullet-proof, reliable workhorse. I just got a 9937, and although I love it because I'm turning into a Swiss movement geek, I appreciate the 8926C more than ever. It's a hell of a watch for a steal of a price! Buy one! You'll love it!

Received this watch recently.

Already the crown is defective. It will not screw back into place.

The Invicta warranty terms are that you must send a $25 fee in the form of a Money Order for the S&H. Add to this the approximate $10 it will cost you to ship the watch using a secure shipping service to the Invicta Service Center and the costs of getting a money order, and now the costs to send this $100 watch for warranty service are over 1/3 the price of the watch. If you purchase this watch on sale for around $60 that's over half the watch's price.

If you have to send the watch for service a couple of times it will cost you about the price of the watch!

Either way this is absolutely unacceptable and totally ridiculous.

If a company has a defective product it should pay the costs of returning the defective item to you after it services the item.

You've already paid the costs to ship it to the company, not to mention the inconvenience of getting a money order and of doing without the item for a few weeks.

For the above reasons the watch is going back to Amazon, and will not go near an Invicta product ever again! - Watches - Divers Watch - 8926c - Automatic Movement'

Projector - viewsonic

I've only had my ViewSonic PJD5123 one day, which is a little premature for reviewing, but with only one review posted, I thought another would be helpful. I actually made my purchase on that review's recommendation, since I could find no others.

First, let me say that my purchase was largely price-driven. I figured I'd have to buy a used projector, but the low price Amazon charged was the hook that caused me to bite on this brand-new one. My second criterion was that it had to work with a Mac; it does! I did have to purchase an extra cable for my Macbook Pro unibody ($29.99 from Apple). I could have gotten a third party cable for much less (and may still do that for a backup), but the reviews on them were not as favorable as those on the Apple one.

So I took the plunge, even paying an extra $4 (Amazon Prime) to have it delivered in two days. It arrived on time and I found everything in the box as advertised. The written documentation is worthless, but their CD has much good information. You can also go to the ViewSonic website and download their PDF manual to read before your purchase arrives (highly recommended).

I installed the software on my Macbook Pro, connected the ViewSonic PJD5123 and fired it up. My computer (running OS X 10.6.7) recognized the projector and the computer screen's image shone on the white wall across the room, but it was very blurry. My heart sank. Thinking I'd bought a pig in a poke, I began lamenting the irritation of having to ship it back. Then, I began to turn the adjustments this way and that, and the picture on the wall became as clear as the one on the laptop screen. Was I ever relieved!

Then I wondered, will it work in an environment with a lot of daylight? Because I teach college courses and give seminars in rooms with many windows, I needed a projector with enough brightness to provide a clear text and picture in broad daylight. Now please do not misunderstand. The picture and text are better at night, but they are just fine in the daylight.

Someone may wonder how it works for movie watching. I've been watching movies on my 17" computer screen, so when I focused the ViewSonic with a movie projecting from it on the wall, I held my breath hoping that it would provide at least an acceptable picture. Wow, was I every pleased! I now have a huge screen on the wall that looks as good as the one on my computer. This is a bonus I'd not planned on.

Another concern for me is the voltage. I travel internationally and was delighted to find that this little projector works with 110-240v/50-60hz. With a plug adapter I'll be in business in the USA and foreign countries.

I almost forgot to mention that while there is no carrying case, a remote (with batteries!) is included. I've barely used the remote, but the features look sufficient for my use. As for the bag, what do you want for a rock bottom price? I'll likely go to the local thrift store and find a suitable case for less than three bucks!

Do I have any concerns or disappointments? So far I'm not disappointed at all. This projector does all the basic stuff I need and provides a very nice picture. My only concern is that when I shut it down I do not hear the fan running to cool it down before final shut down as the instructions indicate. I will call or email the company to see if its shut down feature is defective. My guess is that it is just fine. Other than that, it seems to work A-OK!

Please note that this is not a heavy-duty, latest and greatest feature-filled projector. For such a product you'll likely pay three or four times what this little fellow costs. But it does what I need and even has an eye to the future with a sticker that boasts "3-D READY."

ADDED 6 JULY, 2011

Just a quick note on the issue of the fan not running after shutdown to cool the projector: I emailed ViewSonic on Saturday of the July 4th weekend and they responded promptly the following Tuesday after the holidays. Here's their email response:

"Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for contacting ViewSonic. Our newer projectors have a feature in which the unit will cool off on its own when needed. This new feature is so that the unit can be used more on the go , ViewSonic and a few other brand name companies have added such feature to recently manufactured projectors . If you should have further questions please contact us back. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to provide assistance."

Well, I couldn't believe what I'd read, so I called ViewSonic and talked to a technical person. He assured me that the email was, indeed, correct and that the unit is working just fine. He said ViewSonic designed this projector so that one could immediately pack it away after using it. For me, this is a blessing in disguise! It means that I can use the projector until the close of class, and immediately walk out with it. ViewSonic PJD5123 SVGA DLP Projector 120Hz/3D Ready, 2700 Lumens, 3000:1 DCR

The ViewSonic PJD5123 Projector is an effective and economical solution for movie viewing and PowerPoint presentations. Projecting from 25' it creates a bright 8' wide image. I connect it to a laptop with Bose Companion 2 Series II computer speakers creating an exceptional audio video experience. I use a Logitech wireless mouse to control presentations. You may need a case for the projector and possibly a longer video cable than the 6' cable provided. I am completely satisfied with the quality and performance of the projector and would recommend it to anyone in the market.

After shopping around and purchasing a few "cheap" projectors I realized that I needed to bight the bullet and buy something a bit more expensive. I did a ton of research and for my price point of around $300 I found this projector. I was a bit skeptical as I have had no luck with projectors recently and was nervous about throwing down so much money. Rest assured, this projector is worth it! I wanted a nice affordable movie projector for backyard movie nights with friends. Trying to find one that provided a great picture along with being affordable is no easy task. But this model is fantastic. I can't get over how crisp the picture is. And we use nothing but a white sheet pinned between two hammok posts. Even in a room with mid day sun the picture is still bright and clear. The fan is not too loud and the controls are very easy to work. My only concern is that finding the right connection for my macbook 5,1 unibody has been a hassle. We connected it to a cheap dvd player and it worked great. Also there are RCA connections and we hooked it up to a vintage receiver and speakers for an amazing sound experience. If you can afford the price, this is a great buy. I highly recommend this projector!!! - Viewsonic'
