Fantastic Four - fantastic four, avengers
Although at first glance, with it's little plastic box and cartoon-ey looks, you might think this trivia book is a kids' game, let me assure you it IS NOT. The "Ages 8 and Up" suggestion is true, but I know very few 8 year olds that will have the smarts to answer 75% of these questions. This book is designed by a man who probably knows more about the Marvel Universe than Stan Lee himself! Peter Sanderson has also put together The Marvel Vault The Marvel Vault: A Museum-in-a-Book with Rare Collectibles from the World of Marvel, and contributed expensively to The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe for Marvel Comics! The questions (and there are 2500 of them) range from the simple ("Who is James Howlett?") to the obscure and answerable only to a true collector ("How was Dormammu finally defeated in 'The End at Last' in Strange Tales #146 (1966)?" The bast part about this book is that it doesn't forget that both kids and adults love comic books, and that "Ages 8 and Up" doesn't mean "Ages 8 to 12". The little box that allows you to play by yourself or against another person is a little cheesy, but admittedly a fun element to the book. But (big problem here) it's the only answer code, so don't run out of battery juice mid-game, and hope it never breaks because there's no written answer code in the back of the book to refer to. Doh! Despite this somewhat short-sighted failing on the part of the publisher, this book / game is a great addition to any Marvel Comic book enthusiast's collection. Excelsior! Obsessed With Marvel
I am a huge Marvel fan and was very excited about getting this book. It has alot of really great questions that cover the whole span of the Marvel Universe/History.
My major complaint is with the electronic quiz device on the book. Within my first 5 minutes of using the book, I found a question that the device is giving the wrong answer for. Just to make sure I wasn't crazy, I went to Marvel's website and confirmed that I was right. They really should have included a printed answer guide in the book, to fall back on. I find it hard to trust the device at all now when it tells me that I answered incorrectly.
So, it's a good book if your a Marvel fan but, not great.
My 9-year-old son got this for his birthday, and he loves it! He will sit for hours, going through what seems like endless amounts of trivia. As a superhero fanatic, he loves to not only answer the questions correctly, but find out little tidbits that he didn't know before.
Since he inherited his geek gene from me, I also like to go through the book from time to time, and I find myself enjoying it in the same ways that my son does. And, like others have mentioned, I often find myself reminded of old storylines that I haven't thought of in years. It's a fun activity to do to pass some time.
One drawback: One of the earlier reviewers said that he discovered an error for one of the computer-given answers, and the same thing happened to my son and me. HE was actually the one who caught the mistake. He asked me about it, and I agreed that the computer was giving the wrong answer. But there isn't any way to confirm any of the answers in the book, other than relying on what the computer tells you. So that is a negative in regards to this book.
But if you can overlook the occasional error and just enjoy the book as a (mostly correct) journey through Marvel fandom, I'd still recommend this title for young and old.
Easy to use and filled with lots of interesting trivia. Reminds me of stories I haven't read in 20 years. The computer has several different settings: 1 or 2 players, random questions or in order. Some of the questions are "who wrote issue #231 of title X?" which are frustrating and the random number calling actually repeats itself too much, but still a great game. - Incredible Hulk - Avengers - Fantastic Four - X-men'

Ladies Tee Shirt - southpole, v-neck
Wow, I ordered this on Friday night and it was on my doorstep Monday afternoon! I was looking for a good-quality basic white tee that had a deep (but not TOO deep) v-neck neckline similar to another more expensive brand. (I can't afford to pay $50 for a basic white tee that I expect to get stained at some point and need to be replaced.) I also bought this because it's not too long, like all the tunic-length deep v-necks out there. It's not made from the most luxuriously soft material (but I knew that for this price I wasn't going to get Pima cotton so I'm fine with that.) Another "con" is that it's too sheer to wear on its own. I can see my bra and the top of my dark denim jeans through the shirt. I'll only be able to wear it for layering. It does stretch out to fit your shape- I am a 34D and have a 26" waist and the Small size fits well (although I do like a tighter fit so if you want a loose fit order a size up). It's not tissue-paper thin like some other shirts, so I think it will hold up longer. Overall, it's seems to be well-made and it's a good shirt at a great price. I will probably repurchase when this one wears out but I will also be looking for another shirt that isn't so see-through. Next Level Apparel The Deep V Neck T-Shirt, White, Medium
I bought a handful of these to serve as undershirts under my professional clothes, many of which are v-neck with deeper necklines. I've had a very hard time finding women's undershirts with sleeves that also have a neckline that wouldn't show through my professional shirts. These were just perfect. The fabric is extremely light and comfortable and so doesn't create bulk or overheating, and the neckline was low enough not to show through. I do agree with the other reviewers that the shirts are long - sometimes I needed to tuck them in to prevent them showing, but I'm super happy with them and will likely end up buying more!
I bought this shirt for my girl friend, and the material is very thin. A hole appeared in the seam of one of the sleeves upon the first wearing.
It is what it is, and for the price I paid I wasn't expecting an exceptional shirt. - Tees - V-neck - Knits - Southpole'

Staple Remover - staple remover, stanley bostitch
I work in a school and I can tell you, we remove some staples. One of the teachers let me borrow this staple remover and I am hooked. I am ordering them for everyone on my shopping list! This is perhaps the best staple remover on the market! Removes quickly, cleanly, without tearing the paper. Stanley Bostitch Contemporary Staple Remover, Black (40000)
This is a simple product that just works. You may need a little learning curve to use it (how to position it right and the right force to boot the staples out). It works much better on 3 or more pages thick. Also works on 2 sheets but you will get slightly bigger holes left by the staple.
I also tried it on those bigger more heavy duty staples, only you have to lift each individual end of the staples at the bottom before trying to pull it from the top. - Office Tools - Staple Remover - Stanley Bostitch - Staple Removers'

Heart Rate Monitor Watch
This is my fourth HRM and by far the best. The display is big and very readable even in dim light without using the indiglo. My last two HRMs were the older model Timex Ironman 100 lappers. They became very unreliable even with new batteries. I used to have to use electrode gel just to get them to work at all. This HRM gives me an accurate reading immediately and continues to do so as my heart rate changes during my workout. It works great even without electrode gel. It doesn't have any fancy features but I don't need them. It does record your time in the zone that you can set and you average and peak heart rates. It also has a recovery time feature that measures how many BPM your HR drops in one minute. The sensor belt will also work with the HR display most treadmills and other indoor machines. This HRM has already improved my training significantly because it is so accurate and responsive. I highly recommend it. Timex T5G971 Unisex Sports Personal Heart Rate Monitor Watch
If you are looking for a heart monitor which is easy to use and very accurate this is the one for you. I am 53 y.o. in cardiac rehab. A similar Timex model was one of the HR monitors recommended by the rehab staff. However after much comparison shopping, this monitor had additional features including calorie counting, target heart rate beep which you activate if you want it on and indigo light. The strap is very light and comfortable. It is also extremely accurate and it comes with a user replacement battery. I just love it.
I was looking for a heartrate monitor to track not only my aerobics workouts but also my weight training workouts. I wanted a wireless monitor with a large enough display so it was easy to read (yes, I've joined the reading glasses population). I needed to be able to replace the batteries myself, and it would be nice if it could tell time in case I wanted to use it as a watch.
The Timex met all my needs and at a very good price. I was a bit concerned because I have a 54" chest and a fairly large wrist. I was also concerned because the packaging is not specific about whether it has a coded signal so that it does not pick up other heartrate monitor signals. The chest strap fits me well but if my chest gets too much larger, it's going to be a bit snug. The wrist band also fits but it's in the last hole, and so far, I haven't picked up anyone else's monitor or bled over onto anyone else's cardio machines.
I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
This is my first heart rate monitor, and I really couldn't be happier with it. The watch displays your heartbeat in real time with the little heart icon on the face. It recalculates every two seconds. It's simple to program it to your weight and target heart rate (just read the instructions), and the 'recall' button tells you all you want to know - time in your target zone, average heart-rate, estimated calories burned, etc.
Previous reviewers have said that they don't like not being able to see the time of day when the watch is in heart-rate mode. If you press the 'set' button it displays the time.
I'm in the process of burning off about 25 lbs of excess fat this summer. I'm cycling across the USA in my living room. This monitor is a very helpful tool for maximizing my cardio sessions. It's accurate, it makes workouts more fun and it lets me know when I have to get moving a little faster.
There's been a significant price increase since I bought this monitor (I paid $44 three weeks ago, now it's listed at $69?). But if I had it to do over, I'd still go with the Timex over the cheaper, lesser-known brand listed along side this monitor. If you look thru the reviews, more people are satisfied with the Timex and you know you're dealing with a reputable company who will honor their warranty.
The only 'cons' I can think of - #1 - The chest strap sometimes beeps when sitting idle, I guess because of electronic interference. This is not an issue when wearing the strap, but I'm thinking it may kill the battery before its time (easily replaced). #2 - The clasp on the chest strap is a bit scrawny. You have to force the tab thru it a little. I've seen no stress wear to the female part of the clasp, but if this part fails eventually, the business part of the chest strap will need to be replaced.
I hate to recommend products to anyone, and it's very rare that I'd five-star anything. But I can honestly say that this item has met or exceeded all of my expectations.
Congrats to the Celts!
Timex T5G971 Unisex Sports Personal Heart Rate Monitor WatchI bought this heart rate monitor for both my husband and myself. We wanted one that we didn't have to send back to the manufacture or dealer everytime it needed a battery in the chest strap such as the Polar.
We've only been using them for about a month, but so far we really like them. It is very easy to learn hoew to set it and use all of the features. It also is very easy to get started. I put it on and just put a little water on the senors. In the past some of the HRM's I have owned I actually had to start sweating before they would engage.
The only thing on the negative side is that you can not see the time when you are in the Heart Rate Mode. That mode is all you can see. It bothers my husband, but not me.
I'd rate it a 5 instead of a 4, but we really haven't used them long enough to see if changing the battery goes smoothly. The 1st one we bought the buttons were jamed and my husband did change the battery to see if that was the problem. The battery was easy to change in the chest strap, but we had to send it back. The exchange went easily with Amazon.
With so many heart monitors available, I had some difficulty deciding on what to buy. I decided on the Timex T5G971 because I have always wore the Timex Iron Man. I have come to know Timex as a dependable and affordable sport time piece, and so far I am very happy with the heart monitor. It was easy to set up and works great! I have also read that other brands require that you send off to the company for replacement batteries, but such is not the case with the Timex.'

Stylus Pen - iphone stylus, touch screen stylus
As someone who constantly 'fat fingers' the iPhone screen I was looking for something that could hit the letter keys better than I was doing. This stylus works perfectly -- I've inputting data on my iPhone with no wrong letters. It doesn't work so well on app selection, but I've read elsewhere that the iPhone will 'learn' to recognize the stylus.
The only problem is where do you put it? There's nothing to attach it to the iphone and none of the cases have a place for the stylus like the old Palm products did.
That's why I liked getting 3 styli - I keep one in my briefcase, one in my purse and keep one in reserve if I (inevitably) lose one.
I definitely recommend this if after 2-3 months you haven't quite managed putting the right part of your finger on the right place on the letters. 3 Pack of Universal Touch Screen Stylus Pen ( Red + Black + Silver ) for ATT Apple iPhone 3G S
I ordered this pack of styluses (styli?) because they were so cheap - waaaay cheaper than the Pogo Sketch by Ten 1 which sells for $10.99-up for one stylus. Once I received it, I realized why it was so cheap. It doesn't work well. I have to stab the screen repeatedly on my iPhone to get it to work. The Ten 1 stylus works just about every time; this one requires multiple stabs to get anywhere. I'm going to stash them around the house for emergencies, e.g. when I can't find my Ten 1 stylus. I do not recommend that anyone buy this. Bite the bullet and buy the good one by Ten 1.
This is the second set of styluses , I wanted a few more as like pens they are easy to sit down and misplace. I just keep several around the house. I have no complaints about how well they work with my Droid Incredible.
I use these stylus pens for texting on my iPhone, for my iPod, and for my computerized sewing machines. I have become quite dependant on them, so I have several. The pen clip helps me to keep track of them, but I use them in so many places, I still tend to misplace them. The tip is rubberized and flexible and the stylus itself is a little shorter than my phone and iPod. It attaches easily to the cases so that I can carry it with me. The different color options weren't important to me, but might be to others.
I looked all over for a product like this that was not over rated specialized or over priced, then I came to Amazon and there it was waiting for me. It has helped me so much as the fine motor skills in my hands are not good any more.
Theses pens are small. The tip is too hard and takes a great deal of pressure to use. I had a nice stylus I had gotten for like 9.00 but thought I would buy some backups for my Ipad and iphone....nope these are not it. They are small, but you need a softer stylus for a Ipad or Iphone. These i will chalk up to a bad purchase.
These pens make it very easy to use on your i-phone to play games or press any of the icons. If you have very large fingures these pens make it a dream to use on your i-phone. They are great and would recomend them to anyone to use.

These things are garbage. Don't waste your money. I avoided getting an iPhone because of my fingernails and their inability to work with the phone. I finally bit the bullet, bought an iPhone, and, in about two days, i've learned the keyboard and just "where" to touch to get the letters i want. in the meantime, i bought these things and got them today (day 3 of iPhone ownership). They are HORRIBLE! You have to press REALLY hard to get them to work. They feel horrible in your hand (they are too light!). and really, they just don't work!
Don't waste the money; go get a latte instead. wish i had.
I think I paid less than $1.00 for these (plus shipping/handling) and they were way over-priced. The tips fall off them, they are too blunt to hit anything with detail and they are soft-tipped so they don't work at all anyway. - Iphone - Iphone Stylus - Touch Screen Stylus - Ipad'

Flooring Stapler - nail gun, cleat nailer
I recently purchased the Hard Core floor nailer based on posted reviews and was not disappointed. The pictures really don't show this is a big tool and well built. I used the nailer to install 3/4" walnut flooring using Bostitch 2" staples and it only mis-fired once trying to push 2 staples through at the same time. I would attribute this to the manufacture of the staple and not the tool. Jamb was easily cleared and it never missed a beat again. The instruction manual stated it used 16 gauge staples and I had trouble finding that size. In fact it uses 15.5 gauge with 1/2" crown and Home Depot had what I needed. Excellent quality tool and the price is right. If your looking I would recommend this item without reservation. Hardcore Tools® HARDWOOD FLOORING 1-1/2-Inch to 2-Inch Pneumatic 2 in 1 Flooring Cleat Nailer / Stapler
I did my first floor with this tool. I have two more to do. It is a massive and well built tool. It came with everything I needed to get it working. I shot the L shaped nails purchased from Home Depot and it never miss or partially fired. I ran the tool off a small Craftsman air compressor. It's the one with the small tank about the size of a long two liter bottle. It kept up fine and the tool worked well with it. Highly recommended for the price.
I researched these things a long time but didn't want to pay the price for a named brand one as I wouldn't have used the same amount of time as a professional. Just for your information, I came across a lot of people warning against the ones that look like the handle is small and held on with two U bolts as they leak after awhile.
This company advised as follow:
WE GUARANTEE MOST OF OUR PRODUCTS FOR 1 YEAR from the date that your item was purchased, against defects in material, craftsmanship, or normal wear. We will replace products free of charge
I ordered one. It works good for 3 week before start to leak air badly. I called the customer services and got the following answer from the manager: "We do guarantee most of out products but the nailer is not included (I cannot find anywhere said that the nailer is not guaranteed, Unfortunately I can only find out after the tool quit on me) The manager told me that all nailer can only be return or exchanged within 7 days from purchase and it must be brand new. As a customer, you will have to fix any problem by yourself after 7 days or it has already been used. But the problem is: the shipping will take more than 7 days. Even I got it within 7 days, how do I know if it is good without trying it. Basically THERE IS NO WARRANTY AT ALL ON THIS PRODUCT. They don't care about you once they got your money.
I tried to fix it according to the manual. but BELIEVE ME, There is NO instruction on how to fix it on the MANUAL. instead, there is only a tool break down pic. I am handy enough to do full tune-up and change break on my car, but I am not able to fix this thing. so... instead of have someone fix it for me(it will cost me 150 anyway), I will have to order another more reliable tool to get my job done.
Just let you know there is no warranty on this product. It is officially from their manager. It might works for someone. Hope they will not send a defect one to you. Good Luck to you all.
This is a top notch product, very easy to use, set up for 3/4 in. flooring right out of the box. Much better piece than the junk I was renting. Just wish i had ordered sooner, and included the 2 inch staples. The 2 inch cleat or 'L' nails worked fine with the 'rough' sawmill oak underlayment but, staples always hold better. By the way I was installing 1200 sf of 3/4 in. prefinish oak flooring over the rough lumber. Very pleased with this tool. Joel Townsend Tn.
Anyone looking for a quality flooring gun this is IT! I am weekend warrior with no formal carpentery training. I did a lot of research looking for the best gun for a reasonable price. I was looking at the Bostich, Porter Cable, Senco and found the Hardcore on Amazon. I am glad I did. The reviews I read gave me the assurance I needed to make my final decision. I hope this review does the same for you.
I am currently doing 1500 sqft, 3/4 red oak in my house with staples. The gun is solid as a rock, easy to use and versatile because it uses both staples and l-cleats. It was setup and ready to go. I did need to tighten a couple of bolts to stop an air leak but no big deal. It jammed once and that's because I inserted too many staples. The tools design made it easy to remove the jam. I'd recommed this to anyone looking for a flooring nailer. At this price you can also buy a good compressor to go with it. Plan on spending another $50 to have it shipped but it's still a great deal. This is a smart choice for anyone looking to buy a 2 in 1 flooring nailer.
This is a great product that lives up to its good reviews. It was less expensive to buy this than to rent a nailer for the time I needed it. I'm almost finished with my job (half a house of solid 3/4" oak strip, including significant "lacing in") without so much as a single mis-fired cleat or split tongue (I'm using Senco-brand flooring cleats).
I have to admit that I was a little nervous about purchasing an brand unknown to me, especially after reading about some of the annoying problems folk have encountered with name-brand nailers. I'm very satisfied with the quality and performance of this tool. I, obviously, cannot comment on lifetime longevity and ability to withstand abuse; but that was not my reason for buying this tool.
This nailer is a bit heavier than some nailers, and you cannot get quite as close to the wall as with some. It is easy to use both kneeling and standing, and there is good clearance for striking the nailer "wrong handed" when near a wall or door jamb. Kit comes complete with everything you need, including mallet and base plates for different floor thickness. It also includes a complete overhaul kit of o-rings, etc. - Hardwood - Cleat Nailer - Hardcore Tools - Nail Gun'

Anti-seize
I used it for my squeaking clutch pedal. I sprayed it around the Clutch Interlock switch and...no more noise. It saved me from having to replace the pedal assembly at the dealer for $200-$300. The parts alone would have cost me $150. 3-In-One 10041 Silicone Spray Lubricant, Aerosol Can, 11 Fluid Ounce, 3" OD, 2.63" Length
This product was recommended by some members on a forum for automotive use, but I quickly found other uses for it. Since it dries almost grease-less, its ideal for many applications. This, along with a good White-Lithium lubricant, should be a staple in all households.
I like the corrosion preventative properties of silicone spray lubes. This product seems to penetrate the bluing on firearms and actually improve the finish after a few applications. I have also cleaned up some older pieces that had a little freckling starting. #400 steel wool and this product cleaned up the rust, and it hasn't started to come back after several years, unlike some other products I have tried. It smells like the traditional 3 in 1 oil in a can
I guess I'm responsible for this one. I meant to by food grade silicone lubricant, but instead got this product. This product contains oil and should not be used near food or anywhere you don't want to get oily. I use food grade silicone to preserve my rubber scuba gear and it goes on dry, but this stuff can't be used for that because it makes a mess. I'm sure its ok for other things.
The lubricant worked just fine for my application -- rubber on metal. My only complaint is that the spray nozzle would not accommodate the straw attachment that came with the can. The hole on the nozzle was about 4 times bigger than the straw. The spray nozzle without a straw only does a wide spray pattern, which caused considerable overspray for me. Now that I think about it, I probably could have used the spray nozzle from my WD-40 can. Not a huge deal, but mildly annoying.'

Star Wars Books - sith, star wars books
I've just been reading this series this past week and have read them all in two or three sittings. Number six is a page turner for sure. Like the others, masterful storytelling and rich characters. Looking forward to seeing what happens with the characters and how they tie into FOTJ's lost Sith Tribe. Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith #6: Sentinel
Canadian Customers Beware!
Sorry, this is not so much about the book, but the availability.
I live in Canada and was able to acquire this book for my Kindle soon after it was released... but now I see that it is no longer available in Canada... apparently there are copyright issues involved with making it available in other countries.
For any Canadians looking to read the story (as well as the other Lost Tribe titles) they are available through other ebook providers for free. You'll have to down load their ereaders for your computer, but it works. Unfortunately I do not know how (or if it is even possible) to load those books onto my Kindle.
According to John Jackson Miller's twitter feed "The price is in error, I think -- Amazon did this once before, but fixed it soon afterward. I have alerted the powers that be!" Just wait it out and it should be fixed...I hope. Otherwise, download for free at Starwars.com and use your computer to transfer the pdf to your Kindle. - Star Wars - Sith - Star Wars Books - Tts Enabled'

I have 3 sons and this kit included 3 different robots to assemble. I loved shrinky dinks as a kid and my kids are asking for more now. They each picked a top, middle, and bottom to color, and then came the most fun...watching them shrink. We spent qualtiy time together as a family making shrinky dink robots. It was awesome! Shrinky Dinks - Robots
I bought this for my five year old daughter because I remembered making these as a kid. She loves to color and had a lot of fun coloring them in. They are precut unlike some of the kits of my childhood. Just a couple minutes in the oven and they had shrunk and flattened out just fine. I am looking forward to making more shrinky dinks with her.
I got these for a rainy day project for my 7-year-old son. We had a good time coloring in the shrinky dinks and he LOVED watching them bake in the oven. He was absolutely amazed at how small they got, and it was really fun watching him rediscover an old favorite of mine. On the other hand, once baked, there's not too much to do with these guys - if my son needed a keychain, these might be interesting, but the rings holding them together would probably not be durable enough to hold up for many trips in and out of a pocket. This is a great quality product - if they had just given us a better use for the end product, it would have been perfect / 5 stars.
My son was almost 4 when we made these, he didn't seem to get much enjoyment out of them. They were hard to color and he doesn't really color in the lines yet, so I ended up doing most of the coloring. If he was a little older then I think he would have enjoyed these more because he would have been able to color in the clothes/robot parts better.
My kids loved coloring the shrinky dinks and watching them in the oven; however, they curl up in the oven and don't flatten back out as the instructions say they will. We tried to flatten the second batch with a piece of paper (also in the instructions) and they broke. We had two different boxes - the pirates and the charms and both had the same problem. Big disappointment for the kids. Going back to the store and hoping to return. Not worth the money. - Shrinky Dink - Crafts - Arts - Robots'

Grinder Accessories
I have an old model 380-6 Dremel Moto-Tool. This attachment does not fit on that model correctly (and was not advertised to), because the thread pitch is slightly different. It turns out the the Moto-Tool plastic is harder than the attachment plastic, and by screwing it on firmly while pressing it on, I managed to cut a new thread in the attachment. It fit on securely, the alignment was fine, and it worked correctly to sharpen my chainsaws. I used the lowest speed, and didn't have any trouble with overheating the cutting edges of the saw teeth. Note that you should also buy a depth gauge tool and file. Sharpening the saw teeth lowers them a little, and every few sharpenings, the depth gauges on the chain need to be filed down to keep the depth of cut correct. I use a short piece of ribbon tie stuck through a link of chain to mark where I start; it is thin enough and flexible enough to pass through the drive sprocket. I haven't tried the mower blade or garden shear sharpening jigs yet. Dremel A679-02 Sharpening Attachment Kit
I was going to purchase just the Dremel attachement to sharpen my chainsaw after reading other reviews. I saw this kit came with other sharpening attachements so I thought I would get the kit.
The chainsaw sharpener worked better than I could imagine. It was quick to install and did not take long at all to sharpen my chain. I was using a chainsaw file before and it was tedious and I didn't always get it very sharp. Using this attachment, my chain was very sharp and tore through logs while spitting out nice big wood chips.
The lawnmower attachment I tried out today. It didn't do too well and my Dremel started getting hot while doing just half a lawnmower blade. I guess I just need to get a grinder. I have not tried sharpening shears yet. As of right now, I would recommend just buying the chainsaw sharpener and not the kit.
I purchased this item to sharpen some gardening tools. Works best with straight blades. Did not work so well on curved items such as shovels and spades. Worked well for manual hedge trimmers and clippers.
I did not have any use for the chainsaw attachment, however, I have since learned you can purchase just the gardening tool attachment.Dremel 675 Lawn Mower and Garden Tool Sharpener Attachment
Like other reviewers, if you need precision, use a professional to do it. If you are just sharpening old tools, then this works okay.
Dremel. What more do you have to say? I'm forever impressed with the number of tasks I can complete with my Dremel and its accessories. A few minutes with the Dremel and the grinding attachments and you're done with your sharpening. Couldn't be any easier.'

Surround System - price, surround system
Just got the Coby 3D soundbar from Amazon and it impressed me so much I thought I would give it a review. My timing was off...Amazon dropped the price ten dollars to 92 dollars, which is amazing. I know when you think COBY you think of cheap stereos, not hi fi. I read about this and heard rave reviews from the Electronic CES show that just ended. This is currently the only product with the special 3D affect, but it won't be the last.
Its size is a little longer than a typical center channel speaker, but much heavier. Very solid construction.
This product is hard to describe, but 3D is a good description. When you turn that off, the life of the music goes flat when it is "regular stereo". In fact, the 3D affect is so good that I doubt I will ever turn it off.
I know that you are a cynic about special affects, that they have been around on surround sound receivers for years and they usually sound awful.
This product sounds bright and clear and the music soundstage is all over the room. The "sweet spot" is everywhere. Is it 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound? No, it has no rear channel affects, but the frontal music is so great that you may not miss it. Let's face it, setting up a surround sound system, with receivers and speakers and wiring and subwoofer is a total pain. It costs a lot and its tricky to configure. Read some of the frustrated receiver users reviews and you will see what I mean.
This is crisp 3D sound. Just RCA inputs and a mini plug for your Ipod. No digital, HDMI, Special codecs.
But it sounds GREAT! If you didn't see the little box, you would think the sound was coming from a much larger system. Its small enough to use with a smaller TV, but it provides enough sound to satisfy even large screens. I tested it with my 50 inch and 60 inch plasma and it sounded great!
The closest product to this would be decent boxes with Dolby SRS, but this sounds much better. At 92 dollars its also a great choice for the Ipod.
This box uses 6 speakers and a subwoofer to recreate the sound. Purists will not approve because it does change the music, but I think it makes it better.
Every TV manufacturer should include the 3D affect with their larger TVs...but it might cut into the sales of their surround sound systems because I think this would satisfy 80 percent of the public. I work the soundboard at my church and have experience with audio products, so it takes a lot to excite me but this product does. (And NO...I don't work for COBY).
I usually would never buy a product without a lot of good reviews on amazon, but I trusted Leo Laporte(the tech guy on the radio) and this impressed him at CES.
It will not give you booming subwoofer bass, but it does accurately cover the sound spectrum. I hate that booming bass sound anyway, so its not missed.
If you want great stereo sound that has the whole room in its 3D sweetspot, this is an amazing value. Highly recommended if you can get over your preconceived idea's about what is needed to provide good sound for home theatre. I may get the 7.1 surround system for the living room 60 inch plasma, but this works great with my 50 inch panasonic plasma.
It comes with a remote, but the front buttons allow everything access, so I haven't even used the remote yet.
5 stars!
Tim in Anaheim Coby Multimedia 3D Soundbar Speaker System CSMP88 (Black)
I could not find more than a few mentions on the web about this speaker. One review on amazon and a few mentions from Leo Laporte on his podcast got me interested in this speaker. All I can say is WOW! Sound from this thing FILLS the room, very similar to the Bose wave radio but better! I've been listening to more music because of this little soundbar. For the price you can't beat it. All the sound processing is done by a special chip developed by Sonic Emotion. I don't know exactly how it works but it DOES! Buy it now you won't regret it!
If you do not have the space for a large surround sound system this thing is unbelievable for what it does. I am a audiophile so surround sound is not what I would consider good audio but when it come to cinema sound this unit is amazing for the money. Leo Laporte raved about the great sound that the little box produced so I had to try it. It produces great surround sound and it is perfect for small room. It certainly produces much better sound than the tv. Though it lacks on the low end adding a sub would take care of that but for smaller rooms it is sufficient. If you are looking for a low cost sound than go demo one.
Read other reviews and most are spot on. This device provides excellent sound amplification and quality. I am using it in a dedicated tv room that thanks to a home remodel project now opens into the kitchen. I was having trouble hearing since the remodel. Have a late model samsung plasma with pretty good built in amp and speakers but it fails in projecting the sound into the room. I am very pleased both with the item itself and it's ability when in 3D mode to fill the room with good quality stereo sound. The coby brand has some real issues with quality ,based on reviews, but this item has no DVD player etc.... To break so I am hopeful it will last. Remote works just fine but is a little touchy........ Line of site to center needed but works from across the room.
I wont boor you with the same info from other reviews but will add some specs and tech info;
The unit has 6-3" satellites, 4 facing forward 2/L and 2/R of the display and 1 ea on the left and right side.
And what looks and sounds like a 1" tweeter above the display. It also has a 4" down firing sub on the bottom. Total 80W power.
The sound is adequate for a 10' or 12' room in the mid frequencies but is a little quite on the low frequency side. I purchased a small 6.5" powered sub to supplement the 4" one in this unit. No Hum and only a very low hiss that I can only hear if I'm right next to the speaker. Fit and finish is top notch and Colby did a great job on this product.
Edit: I have a Harmony 510 PC programmable remote and when I went on-line to re-program it with the CSMP88, much to my surprise Harmony/Logitech has the codes for it. - Soundbar - Surround System - Emotion - Price'

Ac Power Supply Presario C700 - laptop, compaq ac adapter
This charger is a piece of JUNK! I purchased this charger and it was delivered January 9, 2010. Today is the 25th and it is already falling apart, and only working part of the time. The part that inserts into the computer is so flimsy that it bends if you barely apply any pressure...with one finger! Also, every time you plug it into the wall, it lets off a little shock. That can't be a good thing. I'm now having to purchase ANOTHER charger (though it won't be this one) b/c this one is junk. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Spend a little more now, rather than buying this cheap thing and spending a little more later. AC Adapter for HP Compaq Presario C300/C500/C700 Laptop
The reason I why purchased this AC Adapter for HP Compaq Presario was because, I broke mine that came with my Laptop. I was not paying attention to my laptop when it was on my bed. It then slid off my bed onto the floor on the side where the AC Addapter pluged in (God was a mad). The bit that connected into the laptop snapped off in my laptop:( . I found out that to get one from HP for my Presario C700 it would cost about $100.00, sorry i dont have $100.00 just laying around. But i did find this AC Addapter on Amazon.com for
Item(s) Subtotal: $22.91
Shipping & Handling: $7.44
-----
Total Before Tax: $30.35
Sales tax: $0.00
-----
Total for this Shipment: $30.35 .
I am pleased that the AC Adapter works, and I had ordered this item standard shipping on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 and i got it as soon as Saturday, April 4, 2009.
I read the reviews before buying this item and got kind of scared because of the price and some of the comments saying it will not last at all. So! I have to say, it has lasted me for about a month now, it is working perfect, I would say I really love this product for the price I paid for it. Buying it from HP or other places this same adapter can get too expensive. If you just want an adapter that works with your computer I would seriously recommend this adapter. It works great.
I received the item quickly, but the transformer fried after a couple weeks. They promptly shipped me a new one but that one had the wrong adapter for my computer. I then gave up and did not request another. Bad quality and bad service.
I needed two however I initially only purchased once because I wasn't sure what I would get for this price. But it works great so I purchased the second. I've used it for about 6 months now without an issue. - Ac Power Adapter - Laptop - Compaq Ac Adapter - Laptop Charger'
