Carhartt - carhartt

This is a really nice high quality belt. I am more impressed with this line then I have been with some of the other name brands. You just really can't go wrong with Carhartt. Great for working as it seems to be more of a heavy duty type style. Carhartt Men's Journeyman Belt,Black,36

Size appears to be accurate. Quite durable, single chunk of leather style of construction.

Only warning is that this belt is on the wide side. It is listed as 1.5" (I think) and that is accurate, but it is on the beefy side of that. Other belts tend to be on the smaller side. Notably, I wear Dickies traditional work pants, and this just barely fits through the loops. OTOH it is perfect with jeans, and just right with Sears work pants.

Sizing is wrong. I got a belt labeled 46 (as ordered); but it's actually 47 1/2 -- measured from the middle (of five) holes to the point on the buckle where the prong lays on the frame. The five holes are an inch apart between 45 1/2 and 49 1/2 inches of length. Belt seems sturdy and flexible. Haven't worn it yet. May return it because of the sizing defect. Made in China BTW.

My husband is tough on his clothes. He wears out jeans, socks and belts very quickly. He always wears out the notches in his belts to where the belt pretty much breaks in half. However, this Carhartt belt has lasted a long time and is still in great shape. Over the past two years, I have just about replaced his entire closet with Carhartt-brand clothes. Definitely worth the money!

When I ordered this belt, all I wanted was a durable, no frills belt. That is what I got. Good quality and very plain. My only complaint is that, when ordering, I was instructed to order one size larger than my waist size. I wear a 36-38 waist, depending on brand, so I ordered a 40 belt. I had to add 2 holes to the belt for it to fit comfortably. I think, had I ordered the 38 I would have just made it. Otherwise, I would buy this belt again (in the proper size).

We bought this basic belt a size larger so that it could be used for a costume for the groom. It's a very sturdy belt... It's true to size as we needed it to hang down (that's why the extra size) and support a real sword, scabbord and frog(that's the part that holds the sword to the belt). It worked great! Very sturdy!

I like these belts. This is the 2nd one that I purchased because I have been losing weight and wanted a smaller one. The leather seems a little thin to me, but it holds up well and looks good. The ones that I've ordered seem to be sized for your waist. Example: size 42 jeans need a size 42 belt. I recommend them.

This belt is great. Finally a great belt that is made well and rugged. My husband is a sheperd and needs a belt that can stand up to abuse. This belt appears to be one solid piece of leather and not just a thin piece glued on to cloth.

Bought the belt and it looked great but after wearing it for a month the leather started splitting apart. Now it looks like my dog has been chewing on it - and he is innocent. Next time I get a Filson as I expect my belts to outlast me.

The belt looked good out of the box. It was a little too wide to fit easily through the loops of my dickie work pants. Took me 2-3 minutes to put the belt on because of this. But the real kicker was that I ran into the same problem as another reviewer on here. The 2nd time I went to cinch and buckle the belt (1st day wearing it), the belt buckle popped off in my hand. I wouldn't recommend this purchase. - Carhartt'

Bookstand - bookstand, cookbook stand

I cannot live without this. I looked and measured my books and deliberated and was ecstatic that I made the right choice in book stands. I use this specifically for my very very large textbooks which are difficult to hold, read and make notes all at the same time. With this I was able to implement my system of reading an upright book and typing my notes on the computer at the same time. This little tool makes studying efficiently possible. It is good quality, sturdy and very useful. The page holders are expandable and sturdy as well. Do yourself a favor and purchase one. It will make your study life easier. INP-103 Book Stand (Bookstand / Bookstands / Holder / Cookbook / Music)

I have been using this for school books and project sheets. It is very helpful. I do not have to bend over my notes and books any longer. My neck is thankful, as are my eyes. If I have the fan on or the window open the notes do not fly off the desk, with the page holder helping to hold page.

I'm a reader. No, I really mean it, I'm a reader. I spend at least four hours at my desk each day, reading and taking notes. Seems the older I get the more I realize how much I still have to learn. Well, the eyesight was getting to me reading a book 'flat'. I was propping my books up, but that got cumbersome. I ordered this product and it has really saved strain on my eyes. It doesn't take up much room, holds the book at the PERFECT angle, and it even has two little 'flippers' (for lack of a better word) on the bottom to hold the pages open, if I want them open. I so like this product, I'm ordering a second book holder, just in case something should go wrong with this one. Although my ordering a second one is probably unnecessary because this product is made extremely well. I highly recommend this item.

This is a nice bookstand. The quality is good, and the delivery speed is good. The tracking system is very accurate.

One thing I would suggest is to include an instruction in the package, so buyers do not need to spend time figuring out how to "bend" the shelf to the right angle.

Okay, you call it a Book Stand but I call it, and use it as, a Lap Desk. I do most, if not all, of my book reading in my "easy chair" (hey!, I'm 71 and that authorizes me to be comfortable). This is the only thing I have found that will comfortably hold whatever book I am reading (including large 2" loose leaf note books) at the correct angle. I love this product, wouldn't ever want to be without it and it is well worth the purchase price.

I ordered it because I plan to study for my accounting exam. I expected I would spend much on reading and studying. I think I make the right decision. I feel great when I use the book stand to hold my book. I can adjust it at multiple angles. I didn't feel back pain and neck pain after reading for 2-3 hours. Although the color came darker than I expected, I would recommend the book stand to everyone. It's sturdy and can hold heavy books. However, I wish the shipping charge is lower.

Excellent product! This book stand exceeds my expectations. This is an ideal bookstand for anyone doing serious study requiring the use of multiple volumes simultaneously. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good sturdy bookstand.

I was a little hesitant at first after reading one of the reviews saying that it was worthless after one year. But I don't regret my purchase at all! This is a great book stand. The product description never once states that it is real wood and you can barely tell the difference. You can tell it's strong and made for even the bulkiest of books. This book stand is now one of my daily essentials. - Large Book Holder - Book Holder - Bookstand - Cookbook Stand'

Works great!! You do need a wrench to install it unlike the picture but no biggie. It's nice to not have to continually buy the small cans of propane. Cast Iron Grill - coleman grill, grill

I have one of the older road trip grills (before there were 15 different models), and it came with one teflon coated aluminum grill and one griddle, same material. Although it is easy to clean when new, even using plastic and wood tools, the teflon eventually started to come off on the food. I immediately went looking for an alternative, and this cast iron grill was the answer.

It is porcelain coated iron, so you can use metal tools (just not a hammer/chisel) to clean and to cook. While it can still be a chore to clean if you let 2 or 3 cooking sessions go by without cleaning, it always ends up with a nice shiny clean finish. And, no more teflon on my steak! Coleman Road Trip Cast-Iron Grill

I got the Coleman RoadTrip 9941 (the blue one) for Christmas this year. The stove is great but for large camp outings I wanted extra grilling surface. I bought two of these cast iron grates. I feel that this was definitely the correct choice. They are more durable than the original aluminum grate that came with my unit and provide an excellent sear. The only thing is they are heavier than the aluminum grates. I don't view this as a negative as it is part of what makes it so durable and hold heat so well. I only bring it up because when I have the unit packed in the carry bag it is noticeably heavier with two of these grates in there. A great product and good addition to the RoadTrip Grills!

We purchased 2 of the Coleman Cast Iron Grill grates & we love them. They are easy to clean, unlike the original grates we had that were made of Cast Aluminum. We use our grill all the time & wish we had these from the beginning. I would recommend to everyone who loves to grill!

I had the aluminum non-stick grill grate, and I hated that the non-stick coating was continuously peeling off. Even if I used plastic utensils, just being in the Road Trip Grill carrying bag caused enough rubbing together for the coating to come off. Then, once it starts peeling, there is no stopping it. The cast iron grill grate cooks evenly and cleans up without too much scrubbing. It is harder to clean than the non-stick, but worth it not to eat the coating.

The Coleman Road Trip Grill is the best. I continue to purchase accessories for it, most recently the cast iron grill plate, so that I have two grilling surfaces. It cleans so easily, and it truly does replicate the taste and look of food bar-b-qued over a charcoal or wood fire.

Don't bother with the aluminum grill (like that included with BBQ) the tephlon coating was minimal and it is very sensitive to overheating, causing everything to stick and making part nearly impossible to clean. Cast-iron are more prone to breakage but the fact that you probably detail unit after use or event make the cost worthwhile. - Camping - Grill - Accessories - Coleman Grill'

woodturning - woodturning

These aren't quite Sorby's but heck one Sorby chisel could cost you what this whole set costs. Since, we are comparing with other manufacturers these also are a HUGE step up from the HF "red handled" chisels that get fairly good reviews. These Benjamins Best are a bit more initially but since the HF set doesn't come with a bowl chisel it would end up being about the same cost.

This Benjamins Best LCSIXW is really nice for the price. I am totally satisfied with the M2 HSS blades on these, they are nice and thick and hold an edge very well.

The only weakness is that the handles aren't spectacular but they are serviceable and you could certainly turn your own handles and replace them if you chose. They actually have a nice feel to them but the fit and finish of the handles themselves isn't great. Again, more of a cosmetic issue than anything else. PSI Woodworking LCSIXW High Speed Steel Wood Lathe Chisel Turning Set, 6-Piece

I just recently got into wood turning and I enjoy it very much to say the least. The PSI 6 piece HSS turning set is a good addition to my shop.

Pros: Includes the basics for all of the basic turning needs. Handles feel sturdy and are connected to the blade well. Blades are holding strong so far. Hold an edge well. Easy to grind a new edge with a grinder.

Cons: Case is very cheap feeling. It came with a giant gash on the top of it, and to be nit picky, the hinges are on the wrong side. My Gouge blade seemed to be warped slightly. (I dont know if it is to be that way or if its defective.)

Overall, the few minor problems are outweighed by its pros. It is a good set, includes all that youd need to get going, they feel sturdy and hold an edge well. And they are cheap to boot.

After a lot of research I picked up this set. These are not the best as the others have said but I dont think you'll find a better set under $100.

Cons:

The handles and box feel cheap.

The HSS seems to be softer than most other cutlery HSS I've handled. As a result they need to be sharpened more frequently.

The edge is very quick to get a sharpening burr. If you're not familiar with the proper procedure for removing a burr you'll need to look it up. As a result quick passes over the bench grinder with a jig are not sufficient to make a lasting edge.

The factory edges are pretty poor.

Pros:

The handles are a great length which provides plenty of leverage and are not loose.

Since the HSS is soft it takes a new edge very quickly. All 6 tools can be brought to hair popping sharp in about 10 mins with a couple of bench stones.

Once sharpened they work almost as well as my carbide tools. Nearly effortless cutting for much longer than I would expect from cheap HSS. (After putting a very fine edge with a set of bench stones)

Price is about half of what other sets of similar caliber sell for.

I dont think you'll find a better set on amazon. If I were to upgrade from this set I'd buy a full set of carbide tools but I dont use them enough to warrant the 3 or 4 fold price increase.

I have just started turning wood, mainly bowls, and needed a couple tools in this set...mainly a small bowl gouge, decent parting tool and bowl scraper. I already had a similar roughing gouge included, so it's useful too. The skew chisel...probably just me...haven't got knack of it yet and I occassionally use the spindle gouge but already had one.

Ok, that being said, I had no problems with the case being cracked...but don't care, as I don't keep the tools in a box...I keep them where I get to them fast.

They seem to keep their edge a little less than the Sorby gouge I have, but not a huge difference here.

All in all, a great set to get started, especially making bowls, though you really need a larger bowl gouge (1/2" min) to really be steady with making anything bigger than say 4" diameter bowl or so.

As others have said, it's a great way to get started using the tools and deciding where to put extra money improving on any of them. Good example, is I'll definitely invest in a beefy scraper...no substitute for having a good heavy cross section to prevent vibration when reaching inside a bowl with a scraper. Aside from that..I'll probably continue to use these tools for quite a while, only having to invest in perhaps some unique items such as the curved vessel scraping/turning tools to get inside really well on vessels.

Again...very good starting set, a good value.

This is the first time I've purchased Benjamin Best Chisels. If buying these tools and new to turning ensure you have a proper sharpening system i.e. bench grinder w/ aluminum oxide stones and jigs to sharpen them to save time and frustration with dull tools. They did need a mild sharpening out of box which took seconds if you have the aforementioned system. Nonetheless, I used every tool and had no issue. I worked some 16 x 2 x 2 inch wood to test the tools with beads, coves etc and had fantastic results. They stayed sharp and produced clean shavings without tearing the wood. The box they come in was very light duty but I intend to toss the box and make an outfit to hold these chisels anyway. If you purchase you should hopefully have the same positive experience.

Do not expect the box to make it thru shipping, Amazon could do a better job of packing but a little glue cures the box problem. Now the LATHE TOOLS are a very good beginners set. Quality tools good enough for getting into wood turning without spending $200 just to see if you like it. NOTE: They really do need to be honed to a fine edge.

I just recently got into wood turning and this set is what I need to begin with my Steel City Tool Works 60170G Granite 5 Speed Mini Lathe.

The handles feel a little sturdy but are well connected to the blade (maybe I'll start turning my own handles).

The case gave me a cheap feeling, and opens on the wrong side, but well enough to keep them organized and protected.

Good price.

Blackberry 8320 - blackberry 8320, battery

My almost two-year old Blackberry Curve could not make it through the day anymore without needing a charge and at times would simply turn itself off despite ample juice in the battery (at least according to the indicator). I bought this battery and my problems have been solved. My Blackberry can again go days before needing to be charged. If you like your phone and/or don't want to spend money on a new one just yet, this is a very inexpensive way to breathe some life back into your phone. BlackBerry C-S2 Battery for 7100i, 7105t, 7130e, and 8700c Handsets

Before deciding on buying this OEM battery I checked prices on all OEM/manufacturer batteries but this was the cheapest option.

It gives me battery life equivalent of a manufacturer warranty but I only had to pay $10 instead of $70+ for a manufacturer battery.

I eventually ended up throwing both away. I loved the price, loved that it shipped quickly, loved so much about it - except that it quickly - within a month stopped holding juice. I've had blackberry's for years and have never faced a situation like this. Good news is that the price was so low that I'm not upset over it. I wonder if these are counterfeit batteries and are sold with the blackberry name. but aren't really blackberry brand/quality. Best of luck to anyone that buys them, they didn't work for me and keep in mind I really wish they had - I'd buy more.

The description when I purchased said this was a new battery. I ordered 2 and when I got them they were obviously not new. You could see the wear on the terminals. In all honesty I expected this given the price, but still the description said "new". One arrived with a partial charge and one arrived with no charge. I charged each one overnight and they have served me well for almost 2 months now.So in the end, even with the misleading description, I got 2 batteries that work well for very little money. - Blackberry 8320 - Battery - Blackberry Battery - 8300'

Kindle 2 Power Adapter - charger, kindle 2 power adapter

This product is a complete waste of money. The adapter that comes with the Kindle is already for 100 - 240V. You pay an extra $20 for the European style plug on the end. If you already own a voltage adapter kit or a universal plug, you don't need this at all, it's just another thing to carry when you travel. Of course it is my own fault for not realizing that, like all electronics these days, the kindle adapter would be universal. Do not buy this! Amazon Kindle EU (European Union Universal) Power Adapter [Fits Kindle and Kindle DX]

In order to load your Kindle's battery, just attach the cable included to a USB port of any computer nearby. Simple as that.

If you want to use your 220 volt wall socket, you can buy a USB power adapter from every electronics store for about $5. This power adapter / cable -combo from Amazon did cost me $31 (including shipping to Europe).

Also, if You have bought any mobile phone, GPS navigator or such a device lately, chances are that you already have one of these.

To summarize: This gadget is nice, but don't waste your money on it.

Somebody else had written in a review that this item is good but should have been free. That is the basic problem. Assuming you are located in Europe (otherwise you would not be very interested in a "European Union Universal" power adapter), then this thing costs a lot of money with shipping. Might vary depending on where you are, but I had to pay around 35 Euro.

And that is the problem. The product is good. But, it is nothing more than a usb-cable for Kindle (same as already included with the kindle itself) together with a standard 220v to usb converter.

Short and concise; Ok product, but a complete waste of money to pay 35 Euro for it.

For anyone travelling to foreign countries, almost all of which have 220V currents:

I asked Kindle support about this several times and got confusing answers. The TRUE ANSWER is: THE CONNECTOR WHICH COMES WITH KINDLE ACCEPTS 100-220volt. JUST READ THE PLUG. You only need an adapter for the outlet shape for the country(ies) you are going to, which can be obtained in any travel or hardware store. They are cheap. England is different from EU so you need 2 or 3 types, Asia is still different. You don't need the $20 item from Amazon, which still wouldn't work in UK or Asia.

I have to say I think this a waste of money.

The KINDLE comes with a USB cable to charge from my computer and I had to order an EU Universal Power Cable as an extra.

So now I have TWO USB cables when all I really needed was a European mains-power charger!

Why is it not possible to simply order the power charger alone and pay less.

Seems to be just a standard mains to USB adapter - you can get these for 5 Euro or so - (5.99 Euro at my local LIDL this week). The USB to micro USB (Kindle end) cable you already have anyway, and you have half a dozen in a drawer someplace from cameras etc., and they are just cents to buy....

The mains plug end is hardly "Universal" over the European Union - this wobbly 2 pin plug will not fit mains sockets in UK or Ireland (which are still in the E.U. last time I looked) without a further adapter.

No reflection on the Kindle itself - but this accessory (which should be free anyway) is not needed as you can charge the Kindle off any laptop or USB supply. This item is not worth buying. - Kindle 2 Power Adapter - Charger - Kindle - Kindle Accessory'

Aluminum Floor Jack - truck jack, suv jack

After rotating my custom wheels with the supplied jack stand for my truck, I swore never again! This is so easy to use. It is not light by any means, about 50 lbs. Shipping was free. However, it only ships in the original box. By the time I received it, a wheel had broken through the box. No damage was done. The jack itself is handy. The footpump is so much easier! Maasdam Pow'R Lift MPL1449HD SUV Jack with Foot Pump, 3 Ton ,Green

Pushes heavy stuff right up in the air...just like a jack. The front (where the lifting gets done) has a cool adjustment feature that give an extra couple of inches OR gets down out of the way. The "foot pump" is really a hand crank but is VERY nice to use instead of using the arm at first.

Some other reviewers talked about this letting an object down too fast. I didn't have any trouble easing down a plow VERY slowly.

GREAT PRICE and like I said in the title - it works!

first one sent box was broken badly, returned. Lots of deep scratches. Instructions claim you can lower by turning handle like most jacks. No such feature on actual jack. You need to turn a release valve to lower. Foot peddle does not jack, only will raise to starting position.Directions are pitiful. - Car Jack - Suv Jack - Jack - Truck Jack'

Small Flash Drive - sandisk, cruzer

It's quite small, but really slow.

On sequential write, the speed slowly goes up from 55k/s to 4.8M/s over the course of 1GB.

On small files, the write speed is even worse, it stays below 3M/s all the time.

This is incredibly slow for a modern usb stick.

Read is fine at about 20 M/s. SanDisk Cruzer Blade 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive

I had a SanDisk Cruzer Gator, SanDisk SDCZP-8192-A11BL 8GB Cruzer Gator (Black), which may have been the smallest SanDisk Flash Drive at the time. Unfortunately it only lasted 2 out of the 3 years of law school. I am careful but things (including my young boys) happen and even after some super-glue, the Cruzer Gator was no match for things (including my young boys). It now only works if I tweak it to one side and hold it there. It turns off the second I let go of it. Enter the SanDisk Blade. It has 16gb, is cheaper than my 8gb Gator, and is very sturdy. Unlike the Blade, the Gator's connector could move independent of its outer sleeve right out of the box. The connector on the Gator passed through a plastic sleeve and had a metal jacket around it. The connector on the Blade, on the other hand, integrates into the outer sleeve. As you can see in the picture the connector flows right into the sleeve making the Blade much stronger than the Gator. Overall, I am impressed with the size, capacity/price ratio, and sturdy design of the SanDisk Blade, and highly recommend it.

I just wanted to quickly say that this device has a cool design. It appears to be two very solid pieces of plastic, lacking the typical metal part that you'd insert into the USB port. As a result, it's very light. I like the colors. I do wish that it had some kind of LED light indicator, but not a big deal.

I DO recommend to people who use this to reformat it prior to use. I tried to use this in my car, and it was unrecognized, despite being FAT32. I reformatted the entire disk to FAT32, and then it worked without a problem.

Be warned that this device is so small and light, that you definitely run the risk of losing it in your bag or pockets. I highly recommend attaching something to the lanyard slot.

I purchased this drive because I wanted something small enough to fit on my key chain and carry around with me every day.

I have been very disappointed. Write speeds are terrible compared to my other drives (including other small drives), takes nearly 10 minutes to load a 1 GB file (issue was experienced across multiple PCs and Macs, so not a limitation of the computer I was using).

On top of the slowness, the key chain hole broke after less than a month.

Not impressed, only reason to consider this is if you want something very small, and even then it would be better to keep looking.

I've had mine for years now, not purchased through Amazon but I thought I'd give my two bits here after reading some of the reviews (please read my other reviews on some other flash drives to get somewhat of an idea if you're curious).

Here's, boiled down to a very generic level, what you really need in one of these things;

Store and transfer your stuff

Remain dependable

ANY of these drives could stop working at the drop of a hat, that's just the world we live in. Buyer beware on absolutely everything, all the time. Maybe in the 50's it was different, but we ain't in the 50's no more.

So bottom line here, this drive is small, tough and slow. I have done nothing but use this thing almost every day for music and movies at home and in cars. I have not babied it in anyway and it rattles around in my front pocket with change and whatever else might be in there. It's been dropped God knows how many times, through the wash a few times and left out in the sun to dry off after finding it in my shorts getting out of a pool. I think I've just explained my experiences about its toughness and durability.

It has no problem playing HD movies or FLAC files in real time, so say what you will about how slow download times are, and they are, but it's never had a problem keeping up reading those files. EVER.

So if you can find something to do while your info is loading on to the drive, maybe read and finish a Stephen King novel, re-enact the Civil War or build a mini Vatican City out of popsicle sticks, then hopefully you'll have the same luck I have with this thing. There really isn't a smaller device (HP v165w, but that thing heats up big time and HAS trouble with HD movies) for the capacity and the price. Seriously.

This is a very small flash drive:

1 5/8 inches long x 11/16 inches wide x 5/16 inches high

This small size allows these drives to be placed side by side, even when the USB ports are very close together. The small size also means that it is just that much easier to lose (or be stolen). At the back of it there is a hole that will allow you to connect it to a string or a strap.

A big drawback for me is the absence of an LED. Without this LED, you will not be sure when it is active, You will get no direct feedback from this Flash drive.

The manufacturer has deliberately omitted the read and write speeds of this drive. That is because they know that it can be a slow poke at times.

In making your purchasing decision, these are the key issues:

- Price (not the cheapest)

- Size (the smallest, but no LED)

- Speed (pretty slow)

I bought this because it was an excellent value for the storage space. And I thought the size was sort of a cool, low profile. But that proved to be a problem when I gave it to somebody, they put it in their shirt pocket and it was so low profile they forgot it was there. A couple of days later they realized they had lost it and couldn't find it anywhere. Here's the part that makes me give it 4-stars instead of 3. They put it through the washer and dryer before they found it and it still works. I've been using it for months since then with no problems in the functionality or construction. - Sandisk - Flash Drive - Usb Flash Drive - Cruzer'

Docking Station - docking station, dock

They almost got it right. Once docked it will start playing your music immediately, whether you'll like it doing so is up to you. Sounded pretty good, much better than the built in iPad sound for sure.

It holds the iPad in portrait or landscape mode with an almost endless variety of viewing angles which I really liked, some docks seem to be only able to do portrait mode.

The bad, once docked if I tried to play any video it would say that is was connected to a TV when it wasn't, no cable was connected. I used a paperclip to reset the unit and then videos played. Until I undocked and docked again, then same thing and this may be a deal breaker. Not sure if this is a defective unit or they all suffer from the same problem.

The app that it downloads is awful, an iPhone/iPod app for a device that seems to be primarily for the iPad is an odd choice to say the least. You can connect those devices sure but look at this thing, it is designed for the iPad, at least have a choice of a higher resolution iPad app. Since the app is how you interact with this device it made it seem "cheap".

So I would say with just a little more work and minimal investment they could make this a 5 star device, I would recommend they do so.

As some have noted yes I understand the way the video was supposed to work by pushing the button on the remote, unfortunately with this unit that didn't work.

Also if you got a unit that works great I am happy for you, this one didn't and I could only base my review on the unit I bought. Jensen JiPS-250i Docking Station for iPad, iPod, and iPhone (Black)

Overall, I feel this unit is an great value for the money! When I originally read the Amazon reviews, I decided not to buy even though it looked great. Two days later, I coincidentally saw the same item at Target, so I decided "why not".

The GOOD NEWS: (1) stand works great - rotates and tilts, (2) charger is excellent -- charges faster than Apple charger and comparable to Griffin PowerBlock, (3) sound quality for type of unit is very good, and (4) you can use with your iphone and ipod too. For $70, you cannot beat this price for an all-in-one unit that is a rotating stand with charger with speakers... buying separately (and I have!) you will spend $120+. I have seen rotating/tilting stands alone for $50+.

Now, to address an inaccuracy in another review... someone indicated that the unit does not play video when docked, but it does. From first purchase, the default is "video out" but there is a button on the remote to turn it off and then it works just fine from then on. You can also push a button combination on the unit to switch "video out". The manufacturer should have set the default to "off," but there is a solution.

The BAD NEWS: (1) Other reviews are correct that when you turn it on, it automatically starts playing music... a bit quirky. (2) The Jensen application is poor as others have indicated, but that is not why I bought it anyway. I don't use it. However, the unit will continue to ask if you want to install the app each time you dock if it is not installed, which can be annoying.

BOTTOM LINE: I liked the Jensen dock so much that I went back to buy another -- one for the bedroom and one for the office. It comes down to how you will use it... my primary use is charging and rotating stand... once in a while I use the speakers... While there are some quirks, the benefits far outweigh. For me, it is an excellent product and value.

I ran into the same issues as the "Almost" reviewer. I REALLY wanted the device to function as described in the product description but that just wasn't the case.

CONS:

1) While trying to watch a video, I had the error message that stated the unit was connected to a TV when it wasn't. The manual's solution is to press the Video button on the remote...didn't work. Tried powering the unit off & on; tried docking & undocking; etc etc, but never could get the videos to play.

2) In addition to the lack of resolution that "Almost" mentions as relates to the onscreen images, I found that when the iPad is in landscape mode, you can no longer "flip" through the four screen pages..Clock/Weather, Music, TV/Video, etc.

3) Within Sleep Mode, I would select length of time & sound options then select Save. The options would be saved for one time; the next time I wanted to use Sleep Mode, I would have to go back & reselect and Save them again.

4) The remote has limited functionality once you begin using the Jensen app.

5) It is a little concerning that it says in the manual (& I can't quote it because I have since returned the product, but in paraphrasing..) that slight power surges and things of that nature can happen frequently and will require the unit to be reset using a paperclip & the reset button. I read that to mean they had a number of glitches that would necessitate doing system resets to resolve them.

PROS: 1) Flexibility of screen positioning. 2) Sound quality was much better than the iPad and much better than I expected. 3) Great concept.

Like I said, I really wanted this to work; I love the idea; I love what their intended functionality was; but, as of now (Nov 2010), they don't have the bugs worked out so I would not recommend it to anyone. The only reason I did not rate it a 1 was because of the PROS; and if they can resolve the CONS, I'd buy it again and rate it a 5.

I bought this for my wife primarily so she could watch Netflix and also so she could stream movies from my Mac using AirVideo.

Lo and behold, the Rocker app disables AirVideo completely and with it installed we get great Netflix sound but only a red screen. With the Rocker app removed we get AirVideo and Netlfix video, but no sound from the Docking Station.

Tomorrow this goes back for exchange and if the replacement has the same issues it will go back for a refund as a "really good idea that did not work."

Amazing that they could make a product that does not work with Netflix! - Docking Station - Portable Speakers - Netflix - Dock'

Bottled Ink - ink, fountain pen ink

This is of course an excellent waterman product, as many other inks they manufacture. Flow is excellent, the bottle design is one of the best around, no feathering or bleedthrough even on cheap paper; also good drying time. Very quick, no smudges.

On the other hand the color is not as dark as it could be, it has many shades of grey. But even though is not true black, it's a beautiful color due to the shades of grey and black that you can see on the paper. Recommended for a person that would like to distinguish himself but not recommend for a person looking for a true jet black. Waterman Fountain Pen Ink 50 ml black

The delivery transit time was reasonable: It took only about 6 days (4 business days).

The ink flows pretty well. Fountain pen strokes using this ink are kind of neat as they tend to form soft shades of dark grey, giving some personality to the writing.

On the other hand, for those who are looking for something 'deep' black, such as India ink used by artists and graphic designers, look for something else, as Waterman black ink is less saturated. Likewise, this ink is not going to produce the kind of black from felt-tip pens and markers. - Fountain Pen - Fountain Pens - Ink - Fountain Pen Ink'

Italian Suit - valentino made in italy suit, suits

Just a word of warning first, I bought a number of suits in 42L, all fit me perfect except this one. It's defiantly not slim fitting like the picture. My tailor did say it is high quality and it does look very nice, so I have no complaints there. The pants fit me well also. I usually wear 33 or 34 waist. Nice suit just needed to spend another $55 at the tailor. Gino Valentino Made in Italy Wool / Silk Mens Suit 150's Hand Made Two Button Canvas Front Jacket Flat Front Pants Custom Working Buttonholes Business Suit Charcoal Gray (42 Regular)

I'd never ordered any suits online before (and certainly not from amazon.com), so I really had no idea what to expect with this one. But wow, am I ever glad I decided to take the plunge. The suit I received is super sharp and the jacket (48L) is a perfect fit. I just couldn't be happier with it. Better still, I took it to Mens Warehouse to get the pants hemmed up and they told me that it was indeed a very good quality suit and a real bargain at $150. So there you go - expert testimony. I'll certainly be adding a couple more of these GV suits to my wardrobe in the very near future.

Like everyone else, I was nervous about ordering a suit online. The price also seemed a little too good to be true. I ordered a 36R and it fits perfectly. The suits quality and cut are perfect and the color is better than expected. Around $70 to get it tailored and it looks like I have a new favorite suit!

Would definitley reccomend. You can use it as an all purpose suit, but is classy enough for important meetings and such.

I give it a 2 star only to catch people's attention. I bought this suit mainly because of the excellent reviews. However, I truly believe some of the reviews were written by seller. The labeled retail price is totally misleading. The suit should be priced around $200-$300 if it is sold in local store. So internet price of ~$150 totally matches what you pay for. Don't expect to get a great bargain. Overall, I don't regret to make the purchase. The material is decent and lining is not bad. Comparing it to my Nordstrom suit (On sale for $300), the difference is subtle. Of course, the more expensive one does have better quality. So, I would say it is a good buy for the price. But again don't have too high an expectation so you don't get disappointed. - High Quality Suit - Suits - Darya Trading - Valentino Made In Italy Suit'
