Sansa View - wall charger, sansa view

I purchased this item with great hope based on the reviews submitted. However, when I received I noticed the items were not the same as those pictured. Also the moment I plugged the wall charger in the wall and tried to remove it, one AC prong stayed stuck in the outlet. It just pulled right out of the wall charger. So I gave the USB cable a chance but that did not work out great either. When I plugged it into my computer, it did charge the Sansa and it seemed to work. But while transferring files to the Sansa it crashed. This never happened with the original cord. All in all the quality is very cheap, as is evident in the price.

If it helps anyone the items I purchased claimed to be produced by BargainCell but they shipped from iShoppingDeals. I mention this because while writing this review I noticed the same item link now states it ships from a different seller. So perhaps that could make all the difference. Considering the price I may not return the kit but its still money lost so I hope this review helps others. USB Data Cable + USB Car + USB Home Travel Charger for Sandisk Sansa View

I bought mine about 6 months ago, but in that time I have used it less than a dozen times. The problem that I have had is with the car charger. Mine broke off at the tip. It just basically twisted apart and fell to pieces inside the lighter plug. I had a hard time getting the pieces out and now my lighter does not work at all! I am not looking forward to seeing how much BMW will charge for a new one. This was NOT a good deal in the end. If you have one be very careful with it!

I bought a Sansa View two summers ago then lost it when I moved last December. I was thrilled when I found it among some **STILL** packed boxes, but the cord was MIA. I wanted to use it regularly, so I looked for a replacement cord...they all cost A LOT of money. This charge cord set is clearly not OEM, but it works great and the price was unbeatable. - Sansa View - Wall Charger'

Digital Camera Battery - cybershot, rechargeable batteries

Cannot tell the difference between this battery and the one that came with the camera. It works great and battery life is respectable. Always good to have a backup (or two). Also recommend more than one charger (car charger is always a good idea too!)

All the best,

Jay Replacement Sony NP-BG1 Equivalent LithiumIon Camera Battery For SONY DSC-H9/DSC-H7/DSC-H3 /DSC-H50/DSC-W30/DSC-W35/DSC-W50/DSC-W55/DSC-W70

When reviewing this item it appears as if it is being sold by a US company. You are greeted by the message: "In Stock.

Ships from and sold by BestDealUSA.". After ordering I received a notification from Amazon that shipment was due 9 days from date of order.

I then received an email from the Seller - not BestDealUSA, but a company known as shang hai jing jun electronics Ltd. telling me that the item would take between 12 and 14 days to arrive.

The Seller should make this information known up front. I am leaving on vacation in two weeks and if I had known that delivery would take so long, I would not have ordered this item

This is the exact same battery that came with my camera and lasts just as long. If you take a lot of pictures you might want to consider having 3 batteries instead of two but I've only gotten into trouble once and that was when I discovered the non-brand-name car charger was not working properly - if I'd have had a decent car charger I'd have been fine but I did run out of battery that once time in Yellowstone when I took a lot of photos and videos and went through both batteries in one day. Usually they last me several days, even on trips.

I am always a little apprehensive about purchasing off-brand accessories for my name brand electronics, but I went ahead and purchased this replacement battery anyway for my Cybershot DSC-W50. So far I have been pleasantly surprised. I cannot tell any performance difference between this and the original battery. I bought it as a spare battery for vacations. It seems to hold its charge while it is not in use and performs well. Perfect for my needs.

I purchased two of these batteries for my Sony DSC H20. I am a practical person when it comes to cost. These batteries delivers the power that you need for your digital camera. Just like any rechargeable batteries, regardless of what brand the manufacturer puts on, it will slowly loose it's full potential within two years. Batteries are batteries. It doesn't matter to me if it was an energizer, duracell, rayovac or a generic brand battery. What is important is that this particular battery is compatible with the G type Sony Nimh batteries, and only cost a fraction of the original equipment manufacturer's price. Believe me, you will get your money's worth by getting this extra batteries. My son just recently went to Disneyland, and by using this camera in P mode without flash, he was still able to take over 150 pictures and video clips the entire day just by using one Nimh battery. Just buy it and you won't regret it.

I bought this battery because I could not justify spending nearly $50 for the original Sony replacement battery pack in my Cybershot H7. The battery works perfectly and provides a similar number of shots as the original Sony battery. It charges perfectly in the original Sony charger and it fits the camera perfectly.

The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because the number of charge cycles is still not known. Even if this battery lasts me only a year it is still significantly cheaper than the Sony battery which lasted 2 years before losing the ability to hold a charge. If you are looking for a replacement battery pack you cannot go wrong with this.

I don't have my battery yet. Here's why:

I ordered this battery on Monday because I needed it this week. Receiving it by the end of the week would have been fine. Instead I get a message from the vendor saying the following,

" Thanks for your order. Your item is being shipped from Hong Kong as

stated on the listing. Please allow 12-24 business days for delivery..."

They even went on to suggest that the reason why they are able to sell the product for such a low price is because it comes directly from Hong Kong, which they claim is stated in the listing. The listing states that the item is "in stock". In my Amazon account, the item shipping time shows 3-5 business days. What is not stated is that it could take up to a MONTH to get the merchandise. I could have walked to the Wolf's Cameras shop 25 miles away and bought the battery in a month.

They suggested that I not give them a negative review. That is not their prerogative! One of the benefits of ordering a product on Amazon.com is that they normally deal with vendors who can get the merchandise out quickly.

The whole idea behind the reviews it to let potential buyers know the kind of transaction satisfaction that was experienced...good or bad.

BestDealUSA, the vendor, should be forthright in the listing. If I didn't need the battery right away, I might be a little less ticked off, but I certainly would not have even ordered from them at all if I had have known the REAL lead-time on shipping. Just be forewarned. - Digital Camera Battery - Rechargeable Batteries - Cybershot - Sony Np-bg1'

Video Games - xbox, natal

Thank you for reading my review and I hope it helps you get off the fence on this great item.

Being an owner of roughly every console since the Atari 2600 (yes I'm in my late 30's) I could not help but give my review of this system and a couple of games we picked up along with the Kinect system. I remember standing at a best buy for hours before buying the WII on launch day. It was a fresh concept with a new direction and revolutionary in what it did and how it did it. We enjoyed it but with the lack of strong first person titles it got old. But because it was revolutionary it endured and was a smash success despite it's lack of many quality games (yes it had great experiences) but not deep gameplay (though Twighlight Princess was a great game and showed the potential of the system) Here we are about 4 years later and with only minor exceptions the WII has found success by catering to children and the casual crowd along with providing some excellant fitness type concepts. I bring all of this up because it leads me to the purpose of this review.

As a gamer that enjoys COD and Halo along with all of the other staple franchise properties out there I found myself on the fence about the MOVE and KINECT systems. I've learned that not every concept works and sometimes a company is just trying to keep up with the Jones' rather than making a product that it plans to support and grow it's participant base. Clearly both Sony and Microsoft have been working on this technology for years but facts are facts... The Move is just not revolutionary in any way. It is a refined (yes very refined) Wii experience. The graphics are better by far and the company will put it's weight behind the product (as Sony always does) and likely it will have success of it's own.

But owning all systems and having put the Wii through its paces why would I buy a better looking Wii? The Controller is silly looking but even getting passed that, what does it do different than the Wii? We can argue graphics all day long and it is a valid arguement but seriously... It's a better version of something we have already seen and experienced. Until it does ANYTHING I haven't experienced before it's a pass for me. I've tried it in stores on demo. I have not bought it. I realize that this makes my arguement less credible as I don't own one. I have played it and tried out several games. It's the Wii on steroids. The games are what you might expect... First generation and meant to show its functionality. But it does nothing of note that my Wii doesn't. Being late to the party even if you refined the product is just not that exciting... yet. I say yet because this could change with a press release or an addition to the functionality of the system.

Which brings me to the Kinect... I have a wife that games with me (plays Halo along with more interactive games(rock band, dj hero, Lips) I have 3 children- ages 10, and twins that are 3 years old. So my gaming is not exclusive to my own tastes. I might buy Call of Duty Black Ops and Kirby in the same checkout. So I evaluate and research this thoroughly before making a jump to buy anything. I was going to pass on both the MOVE and KINECT but I have friends in the gaming industry and they told me that I should NOT pass up on the Kinect and further I should buy it now as it was likely the supply would be in question by xmas. So after several trips to best buy and Eb games I bit the bullet on a reccomendation and bought it.

IT does not look like much. It is a bit pricey at retail 150.00 at EB Games. But you get a game along with it which really makes them equal in price (sort of) For example (and I priced this hardcore)

Move kit is $99 (tricky part to Sony's offering is the following) It comes with one contoller, the eye toy, and a game (no navigation controller). IF you want to play multiplayer you will have to buy another controller at around $60.00 and an additional Navigation Controller) total would be around $230 and you have just one game to play so go spend another $50 on that. Kind of tricky if you ask me. The Move was the lower cost option I heard at one time. But this is clearly a falsehood. I felt the same trickery when I bought the Wii. Classic controllers versus Wii remote? Had to buy another controller for your friends and then there was the possibility the controller would break and you might have to buy another one (or a new TV). My kids tore one of them up in around a month. So there is an upkeep involved in keeping the "car" on the road with both of these systems.

That's why I bit on the Kinect... NO CONTROLLER!!!!!! NO need to buy any more of em. No need to charge them or to replace them. I guess you just have to worry about breaking an arm or a leg because YOU are the controller.

I didn't believe it could work. I had heard of Project Natal and thought that this was the next generation in systems. But Microsoft- for all of the delays and the fact that they were the last system to make it to retail- was simply biding their time. This is revolutionary. At $150 you get the Kinect Sensor and one game (kinect adventures)The game is Ok but is more to show some of the things that the system is capable of. It was easy to take it out of the box and plug it in. It was strangely small and unexciting at first look. You might even think to yourself... Really? $150 for this? But once you get the cords attached and start it up (and it's simple to plug it in and get going) you will be met with a stange feeling. The menus are navigated by voice command and hand gestures.

(AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SPACE REQUIREMENTS)!!!!!!!!

You need to have space on this. Don't believe the reviews that say you don't. Sure you can make it work with 4 feet of distance from your Tv but You need more like 6-10 feet to get the most out of it. And height plays a factor. I'm short 5'6 and so is my wife but we had a friend over who is 6'4 and he needed about an extra foot for the sensor to fully pick him up. So after spending several hours rearranging the entire room to make it work we were ready to go. But keep this in mind- or you, like me, will be sitting there with an opened kinect but no space to play it. That can be a frustrating and tiring reality so plan for it and set the room up in advance.

Once the space is good you are ready to go. There is an instuctional video that walks you through the motions and voice commands. Good to watch it even if tempted to speed passed it. Soon you are in control and you move menus like in the movie (Minority Report when Tom Cruz is using the computer with his hands. It's not that fast but it works that way.

The interface is top notch and you can see why the Xbox Live interface was updated prior to launch for the experience and it works. You can use voice to load the game and connect back to various menus. It is purely magical for a 30 something to see the evolution and what this new product could do for gaming. It is a breath of fresh air.

The Games-----

We bought Sports, Dance Central, and Harry Potter (which is not a full Kinect game (buyer beware))

Kinect sports is great fun. Track and Field is just too much fun. We tried the bowling and a couple other games. The best part to us was not the games (which were alot of fun to play) but the video after the games (the recaps) Gone is the avatar you watched while you jumped the hurdles or threw the Javelin.. In it's place is live video of you and your friends looking like dorks while participating mixed with avatar highlights. IT WORKS!!!!! SO funny!!!! We all were ROLLING on the floor as grown men made the most stupid faces and actions. It was hyserical!!! I am not exagerating. The Sports game is absolutely worth the price and great intro to the concepts you use in games. I give the sports title a solid 8/10 for the game itself and a 9/10 for the fun factor.

Dance Central was also great fun. It is a one player game (somewhat missleading but I'd done my research on it) but there are times in game where people not playing can jump in and freestyle. The lack of multiplayer was but a small problem though as you can switch off and will want to if you are doing it right. The motion capture works FANTASTICLY on BOTH of the prior mentioned games and is only very, very, slightly laggy. I think the games individually dictate this problem. Some are going to be better then others at using the technology but do your research and stay away from the dogs (ie.. Sonic, fighting etc.) Yes there are bad launch titles much like every other system. Dance Central teaches you dance moves and counts your calories as you dance. IT is a work out and you will feel stupid making the motions but it will make you sweat and laugh and it also has the real video mixed with the avatars actions. Good stuff and a solid 8-9/10. There are around 35 songs and more for download if you want to expand the song library but the opening titles will keep you coming back to perfect the moves. This is the best launch title I have played for the kinect.

I have not tried other games yet but will update as I do. I spent too much time moving chairs and couches to make it fit my man cave. It was worth the effort as it is a magical feeling when you stand in your living room using your very EMPTY hand to make things happen. I don't see me getting tired of it and who else has this technology? Well, considering the MOVE is out and the Wii is overexposed it will likely be some time before the competition launches there own version. They will have to if they want to compete on the cutting edge!

A Great family purchase. Maybe not for the hardcore gamer yet but it likely will. IF not... it's still pretty cool. Kinect Sensor with Kinect Adventures! - Xbox - Natal - Fun - Video Games'

Aa Batteries - aa batteries, energizer lithium aa batteries

Energizer Lithium is the only battery I use in my digital camera. Lasts longer than others and is worry free. This bundle is a good deal for the dollar, and the selling point for me was the battery cases I saw in the picture. I scrolled down to find out what they were, and the 5th bullet point said: "includes 2 cases to hold your batteries. Each case holds 8 batteries." Great! I can always use battery cases. The box of batteries arrived in exceptional time, 6 cards of 4 each. I looked again, but no cases for my batteries. So I contacted the seller (MTA Trading). Essentially I was told it was Amazon's fault, and that if I looked at this other link I would see a disclaimer saying the item being sold is the batteries only with NO cases. So, if all you want are the 24 batteries, this is still a good deal. If you want the cases, order them separately. And always check the details to make sure there are no disclaimers hiding. AA Ultimate Photo Lithium Battery 24 Battery Bundle

I decided to get these Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries for my Canon PowerShot digital camera instead of the readily available Duracell Ultra Advanced AA batteries. I was tired of changing the batteries, even though the "battery" indicator showed that it still had power, but the "camera" indicator said otherwise. These 24 lithium batteries came as 6 four packs, but did not include the plastic cases as advertised. A quick phone call to the seller (MZ Photo) rectified this problem. I got three cases the next day. (Each case can only hold FOUR AA batteries, not EIGHT as stated on the website.) Hopefully with these new batteries, I won't need to change as much. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Thanks, Amazon.com!

6/21/10 - I just returned from two weeks in Greece and Italy and I took TONS of pictues, but I only needed to change my camera batteries 3X (6 batteries in all.) No more carrying bag full of AA batteries (ultra or not.) All I needed was Lithium batteries!

There's not too much to say, I use these in my DSLR and in my handheld gps. I was messing with rechargeables but those eventually stop charging and need to be replaced, even with a high quality conditioning charger. Decided I wanted to find a as many Lithium's as I could at the best price and this was it. Electronic equipment lasts forever with these battery's in, and I only have to bring one spare set for my camera on extended backpacking trips.

This is the third time I've purchased this particular bundle of 24 Energizer Ultimate Photo Lithium AA batteries. The price is very competitive, and the batteries are fresh and functional, if slow to arrive (it's taken two weeks from order to delivery).

Rechargeable batteries can be nice, but they don't hold a charge for very long, especially in high-discharge devices such as camera-mounted strobe units. These lithium cells are far more practical for heavy usage.

The only thing keeping me from giving this bundle a five-star review is that the item description shows that accessories are included with the batteries--the bundle used to include a pair of reusable battery cases, now it's a little keychain flashlight--but of the three orders I've placed for this particular item over the past six months, only one of them actually included the accessory items, and I'm unable to find the disclaimer to the contrary that was mentioned by an earlier reviewer.

This listing simply needs to be corrected such that it provides an accurate description of what purchasers will, and will not, receive for their money.

Candidly, I don't even want the flashlight that's pictured, I'm just endlessly annoyed by false advertising. I'd much prefer a reduction in shipping costs to a cheap promotional item.

The 24 pack currently sells for $43.59 divided by 24 = $1.79 each. The 8 pack currently sells for $12.29 divided by 8 = $1.59 each. The batteries are excellant but save 20 cents per battery and buy the 8 pack.

We bought these because our digital camera went through batteries like kindergarten goes through kleenex. These cost about 3x what normal alkalline batteries cost, but they have consistently lasted 3-5 times as long even with heavy flash use. This means you don't have to carry handfuls of extra batteries with you, just 1 set. We're almost to the end of our pack, and will order more before Christmas. If you use a digital camera or video recorder, these are excellent. For normal stuff, stick with alkalines.

I have radios and flashlights that use AA batteries and Alkaline batteries have a shorter shelf life and lower capacity than these Lithium AA batteries. It is also my understanding that Alkaline batteries can and do leak, making a mess in your equipment that might be difficult to clean up and that might ruin your device.

If you are using the latest, high-tech micro video cameras or other audio-visual equipment, these are the only batteries to use. The latest generation of micro video cameras requires a power source that will maintain its power level and not gradually deteriorate/decrease until the charge drops below the minimum required. These are the only batteries on the market that will fully satisfy this requirement. The difference between the old Duracell "copper tops" and these was like night and day when I switched batteries in my Tachyon micro helmet cams. You won't believe it until you try it. Led Flashlight - flashlight, tactical

What kind of flashlight can you get at this price point? A really good one, that's what kind. This seemed to be promising too much for the dollar amount, but I gave it a try and I'm glad I did.

Firstly, though, about that 180 lumen rating -- she's bright, but 180 seems a little, um, optimistic.... My very informal and very unscientific assessment would be around 120 or so, which is still pretty darn bright. Throw is decent, and the beam is a good balance between spot and fill. Very useful.

The best part is the switching system. You switch between modes using just the pushbutton on/off click switch in the tailcap (as usual, a little pressure gives you momentary on, push in further to click it to constant on). Press once, and you've got high beam. Press twice within .4 seconds, you've got strobe. Press three times within .8 seconds and you cycle to low beam. I like the feel of the switch; there's quite a bit of travel before you hit the constant-on click. The strobe would certainly be disorienting to an attacker, and the bezel and tailcap have the mandatory crennelations (relief cuts) in case you want to, you know, strike somebody in the head or something. Hey, it is a TACTICAL light, right?

Check the dimensions: at 4.68 inches long, 0.90 inch at its largest diameter, and weighing less than 3 ounces with batteries (I'm going by Streamlight's data here, as I don't have a postal scale handy, but that feels about right), this is one small, lightweight flashlight. The head diameter is barely larger than the body, making it sleek and easy to draw from a pocket. The pocket clip seems pretty sturdy, and a nylon holster is included if you prefer that method of carry. Build quality is adequately rugged, and you've got a lifetime guarantee (excluding abuse and batteries).

Quibbles? Well, the anti-roll flats on the side of the head are mighty subtle, and not very effective on even a slight incline; thankfully the pocket clip stops a roll. The batteries rattle a bit in the body, which I can't stand, but wrapping a piece of adhesive tape around each battery will help to quiet that (not too much, you need to be able to get the batteries back out). And if you like a lanyard, you'll have to improvise, as there's no loop for attaching one. Other than that, I can't find anything to gripe about. There's a lot to like here, especially the switching system. It's so light and slim that I'm not even aware of it clipped in my left rear pocket. Great value, my friends. I'm gonna order a couple more!

I have the Surfire Backup to compare this to, and for price buy the Streamlight 88031. If you have to have a heavier feel with a blinding white light get the Surefire Backup (I use it in my job).

Surfire is the Caddy

Streamlight is the dependable Chevy.

Cons with the 88031 as others have said, the strobe should be the third press to the tailcap not the second, but it sure does mess with someone coming at you. I am in the Marines and we tried this out as a warning or to distract someone coming at you. All those we tested the strobe on in the dark hated the disorienting flash. That being said I use the plain bright white light or the dim light much more than a strobe.

Bottom line I'm buying another to put in the car to use a a safety and back up light.

Buy it for work and play. Easy to carry and lots of light.

With their recent price drops for LED lights and the addition of the C4 LED, I ordered a number of Streamlights to do my own comparison. This and the Streamlight Nightfighter are my favorites so far. For comparison, I ordered the below Streamlights-they're listed in order of decreasing PERCEIVED light:

Streamlight 88005 Night Fighter NF, C4 LED Tactical Flashlight, Black (2 CR123) 120 lumens

Designed (with removable doughnut) for use with sidearms/2-handed hold-very comfortable grip.

Seems to be brighter than the higher rated PT-2L, but probably because it has a larger reflector.

Simpler switch design (to eliminate mistakes under stress)-no strobe/various outputs-just push for momentary on-twist the end cap for constant on.

PT-2L (2 CR123) 180/10 lumens

Darn close in output to the Nightfighter, but is slimmer since the head is the size of the body.

For those with larger hands or slight carpal tunnel, the Nightfighter may be more comfortable while holding with a fist grip?

PT-2AA (2 AA) 120/14 lumens

The AA version of the PT-2L if you prefer AA over CR123 batteries, but it's not quite as bright.

Streamlight JR (2 AA) 55 lumens

'Bout the size of a mini Maglite, but an inch? longer-not bad, but I might have preferred it be an inch shorter?

The below are a step below in output and do not have the newer C4 LED.

They're not bad for pocket lights, but they're not really for serious work.

Streamlight Stylus Pro (2 AAA) 24 lumens

Streamlight Microstream (1 AAA) 20 lumens

I have a 2 D-Cell Maglite that I installed the Maglite LED bulb in-the PT-2L puts it to shame!

The LED drop-in for the Maglite was a big improvement, but the beam is tightly focused-if you twist the focusing head, you get more light on the edges, but you have a big dark spot in the middle. The PT-2L puts out more center light than the Maglite with LED (but it's pretty close), but the PT-2L has much better light at the edges-it tends to light up a much bigger area.

I have a few Nightfighters for use with a 2-handed hold of firearms, but ordered some more of the PT-2L to use a glove box lights in all my vehicles. Tough call between it and the Nightfighter, but since I got the PT-2L for around 2/3 (or less) the price of the Nightfighter, and they're going to be in vehicle glove boxes, I opted for more PT-2L models.

This would make a great SERIOUS light for women (or a larger pocket light)-it takes up very little space, but is blindingly bright!

Prices vary-shop around!

EDIT: I've started wearing one of these on my belt at all times, using the included nylon pouch. As stated in my review, the Nightfighter may be slightly brighter, but the PT-2L is smaller/slimmer and in its pouch, it is about the same length as my cell phone belt case.

I found someone with a 3 D-cell LED Maglite for comparison-I wondered if the LED Maglites worked better than mine with the drop-in LED (by Maglite). It appears they made no changes to the reflector/focusing on the LED models vs. my upgraded one-the 3 D-cell LED Maglite seems identical to my 2 D-cell upgraded one for both light output and rendering the focusing head pretty much useless. Maglite really needs to work on their reflector with the LEDs! They throw a decent, but extremely tight beam-if you try to broaden the light with the focusing ring, you get a black hole in the middle with very little light at the edges-the PT-2L puts both of 'em to shame. - Led Flashlight - Flashlight - Tactical - Strobe'

Not Recommended - computer, air duster

I work in IT and we have one of these vacuums at work. The only good part about it is that it's small, lite and handy when working with electronics. On the bad side it's very underpowered, with the small tips there's just not enough air movement to suck out all the dust. We found it much easier to use regular Dyson vacuum with a small attachment and if you need to blow the dust out it definitely doesn't even compare to a can of compressed air. Also like others have mentioned the metal body of the vacuum heats up very quickly, you're probably not gonna get burned or anything but it's very strange that it heats up that quick. It's also loud as hell but then again most vacuums are.

If you need a vacuum for electronics I would seriously suggest buying a regular vacuum with a set of small attachments for it.

I hope this helps. Cheers! Metro Vacuum MDV-1BA DataVac Pro 4.5-AMP Computer Vac/Blower

Although there is one drawback to this item being it gets hot very quickly, it does a cleaning job like no other. when I use it I just wait for it to cool off which does not take long at all and then continue cleaning. it will continue to clean every space on your computer. It does not matter if it is a "crawl space" type crevice, regular small space, vent air holes or any other space. This vaccum has all the right tools and all the right amount of power.Well worth the investment.

In order to get any results from this vacuum you must use the small straw attachments. Even then it is not very good. With the large attachments it will not pick up anything. It also does not work well as a dust blower. A can of compressed air has more power. I should have returned this item but I waited too long to do so. Save yourself some money and avoid this product.

Currentlly doing a project for my company cleaning CPU's and adding memory at off

site offices. The Metro is small enough to put under my arm when I go into without

makeing an extra trip. Very usefull and sturdy. I have been very happy with it.

I bought this vacuum to remove particles from by hearing aides and to clean up my computer and keyboard. It does an excellent job on both jobs. It is noisy and it does run hot, but for the short time that I use it this hasn't been a problem. It has excellent suction and blowing. It makes so much more sense then compressed air cans.

Very good blower, and vac. Gets hot fast, but retains it's power through the cleaning process. It took me about 25 minutes to blow out and vacuum the dust in my pc, and it worked great. The attachments are outstanding! I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good vac/blower for their system. Not recommended for anything else. If you want more power, buy another product. Know what you want to use this product for before you purchase. It does exactly what I bought it for. Unplug it if not in use for prolong periods of time. - Vacuum - Blower - Computer - Air Duster'

Power Electronics - electronics, textbook

This is a great survey of power electronics for someone with a modest electrical engineering background. It presents terminology, hardware, circuits and analysis in an approachable and well organized way. After reading it, someone with little prior experience can have a clear sense of what the field is about, what devices are available, and what technology is appropriate for specific power and voltage levels.

That said, as another reviewer pointed out, the book is a little light on math and detailed circuit topology. Erickson and Maksimovic was a much better fit for my needs. Power Electronics: Converters, Applications, and Design

Although a little light on full converter schematics, this textbook contained excellent descriptions of converter building blocks and semiconductor device physics. It is excellent that it came with a simulator program too.

This book is the best power electronics book in terms of fundementals. However there are other books which can be more detailed in mathematics or circuit types. An engineer who is specialised in power electronics needs to know what the author provide in this book. As a result read this book as much as you can and revisit it when you need to fresh your knowledge.

Good power electronics textbook. I use it for my power electronics course at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. It covers a lot of material well, including switching power converters, thermal and magnetics design. It's a bit thin in some important subjects, such as current mode control.Marc T. Thompson, Ph.D.

I will work hard to sell this book soon. Understanding Power Electronics needs understanding of output waveforms of circuits. A sine-qua-non of waveform study is to be presented with diagrams that are clear and easy to understand. In this aspect this book is junk. 'A picture is a thousand words' so the saying goes - I rest my case. What do you say about someone who draws a voltage and a current waveform in one diagram? Or several voltage and current waveforms in one diagram? Vs, supply voltage, Vd, diode drop, Vo output voltage, everything in one diagram and they overlap to say the least and also all in the same color - black. Sloppy and Lazy just about sums it up. These idiots think that such concepts are so simple that one need not sweat it to present them in a more clear fashion. It is evident that these people dont teach for a living - they do research and ask their TAs to do the teaching. One more caveat, dont buy the book written by that other fellow Dr. B.K.Bose. He too I am sure is stuffed to the gills with knowledge and wisdom a la Dr.Mohan here but his ability to present concepts in a simple manner with clear pictures and diagrams also is very suspect. Another $100+ went down the drain for me. My search for a good Power Electronics book goes on. If anyone knows of a good book please help. How much does it take to explain a simple rectifier and inverter circuits? Ye Gods.

This book is great for Electrical Engineering students. I hardly ever find myself wondering what the authors meant because of the very simple and clear writing style used in this text. I think a bit of colour in pictures and circuits would help visual learners such as myself but I'm not complaining. It's black and white start to finish but the method of explanation makes up for this one quirk. All in all, it's a great book and I think I'll be keeping this book forever as reference and not sell it like most of my other engineering textbooks.

baby gift - baby gift

I love this purchase! My son had head surgery so I was looking for onsies that didn't need to be pulled over the head. This was not only perfect because it's cute (and the doctors and nurses loved it), but it comes with a hat (which I needed) and cute booties which are wonderful for babies since they are easy on/off. It's the perfect combination of an outfit for what I needed. Plus the quality is great; very well made and has held up well over several washings.

Great item! And, now I can use it for Halloween!! Baby Aspen "Big Dreamzzz" Baby M.D. Two-Piece Layette Set in "Doctor's Bag" Gift Box, Green

Gave this Baby Aspen product to my daughter at her baby shower. Her baby is now here. She put this item on when he was less than 1 day old in the hospital. She had his first professional picture taken in the outfit. It was so cute! After the picture taking was over, I held him. He seemed quite content in the outfit and went to sleep and slept for a long time. My husband checked on his diaper twice and that was really easy to do with the snaps. I high recommend Baby Aspen and this outfit to anyone who wants a cute baby item. The scrubs color is also pretty unique in baby outfits for boys.

Seems like sturdy and comfortable material, quality product with a cute design. My mother-in-law is a nurse, so I can't wait to dress up our newborn when she arrives to introduce her to my husband's family. Also predict the doctors & nurses at the hospital will coo with delight as well. :)

I was happy with the quality of this outfit, which I ordered in size 0-6 months. Unfortunately, by the time my baby was three months old, he had outgrown the hat and the rest of the outfit was quite tight. He was big, though - 17 lbs at that point with a rather large head (97%), so it probably would be a good fit for most babies in that age range. - Baby Gift'

Stationary Indoor Bike

I read a lot of reviews of other bikes so I was on the look out for problems. So far we have not run into any. The setup was very easy. Schwinn provided the parts laid out on a printed piece of cardboard and all the tools necessary to do the job. The assembly "manual" was a pictogram with few words but easy to understand. The entire setup took 45 minutes because I took my time and very methodically laid out each step. If I just jumped into it, it probably would have taken 20-30 minutes. A second pair of hands would have helped align things quicker. One hint I will give you is to make sure you tighten the seat. I thought I had it tight and after riding it a few times, the seat started to swivel. As far as operation goes, we could not be more pleased. It is extremely quiet! In fact I have to almost strain to hear it. It has more whistles and bells than we use (we just jump on and ride for a specific duration). You can set up a "course" where it get progressively harder then easier. My wife likes the fact that it shows the number of calories burned too. The only thing I do not like (but my wife does) is the over the shoe strap on the pedals. My shoes are too wide and it is difficult to get them in. If my wife did not like them I would remove them. I wish Schwinn would make it easier to get them on and off. Overall this is an excellent bike and we are extremely pleased with it. Schwinn 120 Upright Exercise Bike

Bought the Schwinn 120 Upright a couple of weeks ago. Took about an hour to assemble. Unlike some of the other reviewers experience, all the parts were in good condition. I am extremely satisfied with the product. It is very well constructed and stable. I am 6'2" and my knees don't hit the center console (unless my knees are angled inward, which is not how one should pedal). I am an avid bicyclist and find the ride very smooth and whisper quiet. I like the variety of programs included as well as the option of creating my own. All in all, this is a great product at a very reasonable price.

I looked at a lot of bikes at a lot of stores and couldn't find anything else under $800 that wasn't a rickety pile of garbage. This Schwinn stood out because it was virtually silent, most of its important parts were metal and the seat was easily replaceable with no special adaptors necessary. I've been using it for about a month now and can't say I'm disappointed with its performance in any way.

I think the worst thing about it is the computer. The UI is beyond incomprehensible and I honestly have no idea what it's even supposed to do. I just keep pushing buttons until it starts letting me adjust the resistance and ignore its continually blinking segmented displays. I'm pretty sure it doesn't measure much of anything very accurately, so I don't really care to learn more about its eccentricities. I have a watch and I know how to take my pulse--all I want on an exercise bike is a simple knob, thanks.

Just be warned when ordering from Amazon: it will almost certainly arrive damaged in some way as it ships from the factory in a pretty flimsy box that is held together with staples and plastic straps. In my case I didn't realize that a couple parts were cracked until I already had it 95% assembled, and there was no way I was ever going to get it to fit back in the demolished box FedEx dropped it off in. Amazon set up an exchange for me when I complained, but spending another hour disassembling it and taking a day off from work to wait for the UPS guy to come get it didn't make a whole lot of sense. Luckily, Schwinn/Nautilus' customer support is better than Amazon's, so I nabbed the replacement parts I needed for a few bucks' worth of shipping.

Item arrived very promptly after placing order but it arrived damaged. Apparently this has been a fairly common problem shipping this bike. Amazon offered to refund the entire amount if I returned it. They offered a 30% refund if I kept it. I did the latter, then called Nautilus/Schwinn. They are honoring the warranty and sending me the replacement part necessary to repair the bike.

Otherwise, bike is operationally fine. Instruction manual for programming various exercise regimens is very poorly written. Twice I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with the Nautilus/Schwinn customer service people before I finally got the hang of it. The customer service people were very nice but actually didn't know much about this particular issue. We just worked together over the phone as we both read the manual and tried to figure it out.

I think I got a good bike for the money--really good considering the 30% refund from Amazon for the damage goods!

My item arrived in the 2 days it said but the box was halfway torn open, tattered and distroyed. it had rained so now I thought my product had gotton soaked. It came via UPS. Well I read all the reviews prior to purchasing this as-well-as other models. I am totalling satisfied!!! It doesn't rock, it's sturdy, the seat is big enough for anyone and the post can accomodate any bike seat you wish to use like a racing seat for road bikes. My buttocks and knees did hurt though but after constant use and a little adjusting, they should be fine. So far the electronics are great. It plugs in so no worn batteries to worry about. I went from my bed, to the bike, and straight to the shower and to work. I have cycled for years but now I can ride all winter long and at any hour. There is no noise. Completely quiet. Just hang a bag to it for your t.v. remote and your Ipod and enjoy! Some people rated the setup confusing but if you have ever put anything together in your life, you should be fine. Just have patience. It's an Hr and a half tops! I'm purchasing another one today for my 78yr young Mom :-)

Comes with necessary tools and took me only 45 min to assemble it. Seat is too wide for me to work out for more than one hour. Foot strap design is not very good, it touches axis as you pedal.Otherwise this is sufficiently good for its reasonable price for the purpose of moderate indoor exercise during winter time.'

High Definition - hd pvr, dvr

I primarily bought this to record video games while playing them. I did some recordings and used the video editing software. The quality (720p) is nice and the video was as I had expected and hoped. The interface is simple and easy to use. It is great for what I want it for. Now onto the flaws that I have encountered. First off - the most annoying one which may be a problem with my box in particular. The component connection coming in from the video game source often loses one of the color connections making it look awful. Unfortunately it is captured this way and it simply takes me just slightly moving the box or touching the cables to fix (I have tried different sets of cables). Second problem for you gamers out there. The software seems to have a problem adjusting when the source adjusts resolutions. Example is on the PS3 - I am on the XMB screen prior to loading the game, but once the game loads it adjusts the resolution. At this point the capture screen goes gray and doesn't seem to pick up the source video anymore. If you started your recording prior to starting the game, you would be recording gray the rest of the way. The last problem I had seems to be a software issue, but I can't be sure. I plugged an HDMI cable in for output. NOTE: The HDMI cable is NOT for passthrough to be used during recordings. It is only for media playback. I cannot however playback any media other than what I have recorded directly through the box. Granted it looked great on my 55" 1080p 120Hz LCD, but I could not playback any other video files even though it is supposed to be able to. Everytime I hit the button to output to HDMI, I get a gray screen. Despite submitting a support ticket going on a month ago, they continuously tell me that they are researching the problem. This was a big selling point for me and a bit of a disappointment. Final thoughts - it is solidly built and seems to be well priced for what it does compared to competition. The processing of the capture on the box takes the load off of the PC while allowing you to store and edit directly on the computer. I do recommend the product for it's ease of use and quality per price, but want to warn gamers of the above issues that I encountered. Good luck! AVerMedia MTVUHDDVR Avertv HD USB Digital Video Recorder

This product would be fantastic i this company had a shred of customer service. My DVR is obviously defective. It shuts off after 2-5 minutes of use every time and nothing will change that. I've tried on 8 different occasions to contact their customer service department. This includes, leaving voicemail, sending email, and posting on their help forums. I have had no replies.

The product would be great if it worked. What I have seen it produce is very high quality and frankly just looks damn good.

Do not buy this if you want any amount of decency or support from the company. I assume not all of these arrive DOA, but this is a chance that you should not have to worry about with a product that costs almost $200.

If you are interested in a Capture card for recording xbox 360 game play or recording your favorite tv shows, this is for you!. My son records and plays in hd on his xbox 360 then puts them on youtube. He has used many different capture cards and this one seems to be on of his favorites. The software is easy for him to use and was very easy to setup! It is a great price for an hd cap card! Very cool looking and very light. I recommend this to anyone that doesn't want to spend over 300$ on a Capture Card.

Once you figure out how it works and get it to work with all of the updates and other downloads required to use it, it's perfectly fine. Took me two or so days to get it up and running, but that's no big deal. I bought it to record video games from my Xbox and PS3, and it does just that perfectly! Xbox can't display at 1080p/1080i with component cables, so obviously the recorder doesn't do well with that. However, PS3 component cables can go up to 1080p, and the thing records in 1080i just fine and it looks really nice! The 720p on Xbox is also very good quality, and I've gotten several compliments on how my videos look.

The biggest problem I have with it is how it records. It saves the files in .ts, which is not compatible with my editing software. It comes with a file transfer program, and it takes about two hours per hour of recorded footage. It can only transfer to 30 frames a second, so Call of Duty or Super Meat Boy (games that run at 60 frames per second) videos aren't as smooth as they could be. That takes a lot of time to do, switching file types, and makes you wonder why they didn't make the box record in a more friendly file type in the first place. Also, I have to put a cloth over the light at night so it doesn't light up my whole room.

I've been using this since October 2010, and have recorded a TON of videos with it. It doesn't get too hot and can record for at least 6 hours (longest I've recorded). Overall this cap card has really nice quality and is easy to use. - Hd Pvr - Capture Card - Eyetv - Dvr'

Media Storage - dual layer, dvd

I have bought and burned over 200 of these discs and I have never had a bad disc! Today the blank media market has been flooded with cheap discs that won't work after a few uses or even burn properly! However, this specific blank media is still high quality and won't fail. Verbatim 95311 8.5 GB 8x-10x Double Layer Recordable Disc DVD+R DL, 5-Disc Slim Case

This was my first experience using double layer media for burning, so while I have no reference points to go by, I must say I've not had a bad disc so far. I promise to update this review if things begin to change.

I have two versions of Nero (6 and 8) on two very different computers, and I've noticed that they both automatically lower the burn rate to 4X (though I can pump it up to 6X on Nero 6) and wonder if speed accounts for the fact that "lesser" brands fail more often. I even have one of the hated Sony burners in my Core Duo 2 laptop with Nero 8, and it works, despite being HUGELY slower than with a Lite-On drive installed in my ancient AMD64 desktop.

My only gripe with this product is, oddly, what drew me to it in the first place: the price. At $40.48 for a 30 pack you're looking at $1.35 per disc. I find it hard to believe that in this day and age, when the product cycle for optical discs of this sort is quite mature, that it costs this much to produce them. Can it really be more than double the cost of two single layer discs which can be had for 20 to 30 cents each at fairly reliable quality? Perhaps...I've never made them myself. I will conclude in Verbatim's defense that this is the lowest price point short of the widely maligned Memorex discs. That's why I chose them, and all in all I'm quite happy.

P.S.--It might be interesting to hear from those who have used both these and the cheaper Memorex discs to see if patterns in why things head south do so. I'll let you know if I decide to bite the bullet and try the competition at some point.

Verbatim has changed the manufacture process of their discs with the 8x. The dye has serious flaws in 80% or more of the discs. Normally I would recommend these to anybody interested in backing up data. Now I say stay away from these. Out of 15 discs only 3 are barely readable. 12 coasters. I would expect this from Memorex but not Verbatim. Stick to 2.4x discs if you can still find them. I used a brand new Pioneer burner with all of these so I know my drive is not failing. It burns everything else very well including the HP Dual Layer discs. Extremely disappointed.

Please take note I am referring to the purple box not the orange one. Never had a single problem from those. Depending on your chosen software for burning check and see if the disc ID number MKM-003-00 (or something close to that - must have the 003) appears. If it does.. do not even attempt to burn or else you will have just lost an hour of your day and a very expensive disc.

I do a lot of DVD burning, I won't mention any competitors all I will say is that I NEVER have had a Verbatim disk fail on me. If it fails its usually my fault. I have had great success with the Verbatim +R DL disks.

Don't let the price scare you. Verbatim DVD's are worth every penny! Use the other brands for frisbees and never worry again about your media. These babies burn clean without any discards. I've used a few hundred and haven't thrown out any! My only disappoinment is the 8x dual layer doesn't come in a pack of 100 spindle(hmmmmmm). I have reliably used them at different speeds with no difficulty. I have tried other brands, NONE COMPARE!!!

Discs performed perfectly--I'd heard stories of lost or contaminated data with 'bargain' or other cheaper Double Layer discs...I decided to go with the Verbatim discs based on reviews and the experience of friends, a little more co$t, but worth it in the long run....GH

My friends and I have a lot of experience writing DVDs. Even with a top rated DVD burner, the double layer writing is a little tricky and, as far as I am concerned, Verbatim is the ONLY choice. It works almost every time with very few failures. One time I bought a 50 stack of another brand because they didn't have the Verbatim in stock. I gave up trying to get a good write and threw them away. Don't waste your money on any other brand. - Verbatim - Dvd - Dual Layer - Verbatim Dl Dvd'

Aa Rechargeable Batteries - battery aa rechargeable, energizer

All rechargeable battery manufacturers love to boast about their product's current capacity (mAh). But there is a dirty little secret that they don't want you to hear: self-discharge rate. Simply put: a fully charged NiCd or NiMH cell will gradually lose its stored energy over time. Technical papers I have researched typically put the self-discharge rate at 10-20% per month for NiCd cells, and 20-30% per month for NiMH cells. This kind of self-discharge rate is usually acceptable in applications such as digital cameras.

I bought 8 of those Energizer 2500mAh rechargeable NiMH batteries over one year ago. At first, I was very happy about the large current capacity offered by those batteries. But within a few months, I started to notice that they die very quickly in my digital camera. In fact, a set of Sony 2300mAh NiMH batteries I bought one year earlier seems to last much longer when used in the same camera.

I recently did some controlled experiments (using the LaCrosse BC-900 AlphaPower Battery Charger) and found out what's wrong: The Energizer NiMH batteries have very high self-discharge rate. After fully charging all 8 cells and left them on the shelf for one week, five of them lost over 30% of their charge, and the other three lost about 20%. In comparison, the set of older Sony batteries only lost around 10% over the same one-week period.

So what this really means is: if I charge up those Energizer 2500mAh batteries and leave them in my camera for three weeks, they will become totally exhausted. I found this kind of self-discharge rate completely unacceptable, therefore I strongly advise against buying those batteries.

[Update on April 9, 2007]

I have hardly used those Energizer 2500mAh cells in the last few month. Now they have deteriorated even further. Five of them can't even hold their charges for more then a day.

Instead of the Energizer 2500mAh cells, I recommend buying the Rayovac "Hybrid" 2100mAh cells. They have very low self-discharge rate (see my review on "RAYO 4PK AA") and are cheaper than the better-known Sanyo eneloop 2000mAh cells. Kodak also sells a "Pre-Charged" NiMH cell with exactly the same spec as the Rayovac Hybrid.

The bottom line: Low-Self-Discharge NiMH cells are your best choices. There is absolutely no point in taking chances with older generation 2500-2700mAh NiMH cells now.

[Update on Oct 20, 2010]

The product image of Energizer Rechargeable AA has changed. It no longer advertises '2500mAh'. I went to my local W*mart to check out the actual batteries. All Energizer rechargable AA cells are now 2300mAh. Evidentially, Energizer has 'rollled back' battery technology to 2004. This is actually a good move because the lower capacity cells do not suffer from hideous self-discharge rate. Contrary to popular belief, a 2300mAh cell is not any less capable in delivering high power than a 2500mAh cell. Just that the run time will be about 8% shorter. Energizer NH15BP-4 Rechargeable AA Battery 4 Pack

I've been using NIMH batteries from SANYO, NEXCELL, POWEREX and AccuPower for over 6 years. Use them for everything from high current drain digital cameras and high-end digital audio recorders to CD players, bathroom scales and flashlights.

I rely on two of the excellent MAHA MH-C401FSB smart 2-rate chargers. These charge and monitor each battery independently, not in pairs. Energizer 2500 mAH units were fine for about three months. Then I noticed that devices would be calling for new batteries with little to no use. This has never happened with other AAs NIMH, including those with less than half the advertised capacity. The MAHA charger also started reporting that some of the Energizer AAs were not taking a charge at all.

Kept finding that typically one out of four were the problem. Many of the 32 AA Energizers I bought have had problems. Repeatedly have had one battery run out of charge while others still test very strong. Felt pen dots put on discharged batteries showed it was the same batteries time and time again. Have reverted in some cases to 1600 mAH SANYO OEM batteries put in service in Feb 2001 and those provide longer and more reliable performance!

In my considerable experience with these 2500 mAH AA Energizers they have been a very big disappointment and, regardless of warranty, cannot be relied upon.

I bought a bunch of Energizer's AA ACCU NiMH rechargeable batteries to power a halogen bicycle light and LEGO Mindstorms robots. Their performance has exceeded my expectations. The bicycle light seems as bright as it ever was with alkaline batteries, affording good visibility during night time cycling. And stopping play---er, experimentation---with the LEGO robots for recharging has yet to be a problem. However, I do have to issue this warning: these batteries are slightly fatter than standard AA batteries. I tried using them in a Mini Mag Light. After I got one battery in the light's barrel, I realized---too late---that I'd never get the batteries back out. I ended up destroying the Mini Mag Light in order to retrieve the batteries. If your application is cramped for space, beware! If they do fit, expect good energy for a good long time. - Battery Aa Rechargeable - Energizer - Battery - Green 3'

Nutiva Coconut Oil - raw foods, nutiva coconut oil

I've tried two of the major coconut oil brands that I order via the internet. I've been using the oil in food and on my skin for about 5 years. I ordered this just to see how it tasted because the price was so good, if it didn't taste right, I'd just use it on my skin. It is the BEST tasting oil I've tried. Tropical Traditions, Coconut Oil Supreme pale in comparison. This is truly a coconut oil you could eat right out of the jar. If you want to try a coconut oil that tastes as good as it smells, this is it. And the price is fabulous. Yea, Nutiva and Amazon!

I love this coconut oil! It has a delicate coconut aroma and flavor. I have only just started using it but have found it to be delicious when making pancakes in lieu of using butter. I have also used it as a substitute for butter when making grilled cheese sandwiches and baked sweet potatoes. It will do wonders for your hair and skin too. I especially like using it as a hot oil treatment for my hair. I mix the coconut oil with a few drops of lemon essential oil and rub it into my hair. It smells like dessert and good for my hair and scalp. Try it with your favorite essential oils!

Warning: It melts at 76F. Be careful when opening a jar that's been sitting in a warm cupboard.

The skin is a great delivery system for absorbing things into your body. So what are you putting on your skin? Read the ingredients on your handcream or body lotion. Are they good for you? Don't know? Can you even pronounce them? Let's keep it simple. Virgin organic coconut oil. Snowy white, unrefined, heavenly smell - this stuff is terrific!! Solid at room temperature, smooth and buttery and melts at 76 degrees; cook/fry with it on low heat for a healthy and fragrant alternative to all those ulgy refined oils and hydrogenated trans fats (YUCK!), use as a lighter butter or shortening alternative (there's not a lot of flavor and the smell is intoxicating); use as hand cream (rub it on - only gets greasy if you really over load the area) I use it as a body lotion all over my body (my skin feels soft and smooth like it did when I was a child), hair conditioner (a light deep conditioner); anti-fungal properties (put it between your toes for goodness sake!) make-up remover - voila! ear wax? I put a tiny bit of this on a q-tip; moist toilette wipes? ssshh... try a touch of this on your t.p. - and I could go on and on... It must be organic and virgin coconut oil - anything else is something else and unexceptable. I understand that it is fine for diets, and speeds up the metabolism (its those little medium fatty acid chains). Don't take my word for it - read all about it for yourself! And yes, I feed it to my dog and cat, my cat loves it - and he won't eat anything! Actually, I don't think that he can resist the smell, I can't! Another one of those items that I out on my favorite things list!

This is amazing. I like it better than all other coconut oils. Of course it tastes like coconut. I don't want to use oils that are so overly processed and refined that they taste like "nothing". I don't understand why the coconut flavor bothers some people. If you don't like coconut, find a different oil.

You can use this for grilling, frying, baking, sauteeing, greasing & flouring a cake pan, and all other places that you'd use butter or a Crisco-type product. Just be careful on the baking because this melts at a low temperature.

It is amazing as a skin softener, a hair conditioner, a leave in hot oil treatment, make-up remover, eyelash conditioner/glosser, shaving "cream", lip softener, cuticle oil, nail conditioner, bath oil, after bath oil, massage oil (add a few drops of essential oil if you wish), etc. Speaking of massage oil, this is an excellent product for "adult activities" . . . as a perk it is definitely edible.

If you have dry feet, slather this on, rub it in, wrap your feet with plastic wrap, cover with socks, and go to bed. In the morning your feet will feel nice and soft.

This can be used on leather such as shoes, jackets, and purses. Because it's clear, you can use it on leather products that have decorative stitching that you can't cover with regular colored polish. (In fact, I just bent over and put coconut oil on my black leather shoes with my fingers . . . the only clean up needed was to rub my hands together.)

I've even used it on my wood furniture to obtain the same results as furniture oils. I have used it to grease hinges and mechanical parts. I have heard that you can use it to add lustre to pearls but I'm too chicken to try it on my good stuff.

I know people that have used it as a laxative (in large quantities) and a diet aid. When I eat about a T. a day my skin is softer and my wrinkles are less noticable.

I keep finding new uses. I'm sure you'll find some, too.

I first tried coconut oil last fall after reading The Coconut Oil Miracle (***highly recommended book***) and Nutiva's Organic Coconut Oil was the first I tried. It spoiled me completely. I've since tried two other brands and NOTHING tastes as fresh and light as this oil. It has a nice coconut flavor and personally, I love the taste it gives fried eggs and even pancakes. I also used it to make a pie crust (after chilling the oil slightly to compensate for the friction of working the pie crust) for a coconut cream pie and it was out of this world--flaky and delicious!!! Like another poster, I also like it spread on a toasted English muffin and then topped with a light drizzle of honey.

Our family has changed our eating habits in the last year and now we use only 3 fats: 1. Coconut Oil 2. Butter 3. Extra Virgin Olive Oil (but only raw---never with heat!!!!--use the coconut oil or butter for fried & sauteed foods). Our general health is much improved; my husband's cholesterol levels are finally dropping (after YEARS of using "SmartBalance" and other "healthy" spreads that just raised his cholesterol).

Try this coconut oil and do yourself a favor and order The Coconut Oil Miracle (Previously published as The Healing Miracle of Coconut Oil)so you can understand why it not only tastes so good, but is so good for you! - Nutiva Coconut Oil - Organic - Raw Foods - Health - Nutiva - Coconut'
