General Electric - fluorescent, ge
I must say this company sells a high grade product and their delivery time was faster than the speed of lightning. The price was terrific too after checking other sites they had the cheapest with reasonable shipping and handling. GE 33774 Cool White 8-Inch Diameter Circline Fluorescent T9 Bulb, 22-Watt
I received a bad bulb, the bulb the seller send to me looks new but has three rings running around inside it and it does not work. I contacted the seller who promised to send me another bulb, which never happened. Buyers beware, this seller is a scam, buy at your own risk. I lost money in this transaction, bad, bad, bad transaction. - Fluorescent - Ge - Electronics - Bulb'

I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A NICE RED BELT AND DECEIDED TO USE AMAZON.COM FOR THE FIRST TIME AND I AM HAPPY I DID!! IT WAS FAST SIMPLE AND IT EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS WITH ONLINE SHOPPING!! I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE PURCHASE AND PRICE WAS EXACTLY WITHIN MY BUDGET! 3 Inch Wide High Waist Croco Print Patent Leather Fashion Belts Size: S/M - 32 Color: Black
The belt arrived right away and it is the perfect shade of red I was looking for. The width is exactly what I needed. The craftsmen ship is also excellent, looks like I paid a lot more money for it then I actually did. Would definitly order from this seller again.
I am very pleased with this belt! I wasn't expecting too much for the price, but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the belt. Would definitely recommend to other shoppers in search of a great high waist belt! I will definitely use this company again for my next belt purchase. It also arrived very quickly. Oh and it looks great, I purchased the dark red version. - Belts - Fashion Belt'

Anti-glare
I ordered these screen protectors for my Xoom mainly because there are 3 in a pack and I know from experience that it is very hard to get it right on the first try. Well the first one got too many specs on it (these protectors seem more static and pick up more dust particles than others). The second one went on more smoothly and only got 1 very tiny dust spec, which is right near the edge so it's not very noticeable. Anyway, here are the pros and cons I have found:
Pros:
- Clear and smooth, feels like glass, scrolls nicely
- Easy to install
- 3 per pack in case you make mistakes!
- Perfect cutouts for camera and mic.
Cons:
- Seems to attract dust easily and produce some static during installation
- Too shiny, not anti-glare. I might as well go without it!
- Fingerprints show even more than the original glass. Looks terrible!
- Makes text a bit fuzzy, not as clear as the original glass (Tiny text under icons is most noticeable).
- Colors seem just a little bit different, not as clear or bright as without it.
- Definitely less visibility at an angle. Only looks great if you are looking directly at it straight-on. splash Masque Screen Protector Film Clear (Invisible) for Motorola XOOM (3-Pack)
I like the fact you apply this dry. It is a much easier install than the detergent/water method a lot of other screen protectors use.
However, it is not perfect. You still have to be very careful to (1) clean the Xoom and (2) apply this in a dust free location. If you are like me - own a few pets and don't religiously vacuum, you may have issues with bits of dust getting under the film as you are trying to install it. I had to toss the first two films after some stray dust caused a few air bubbles which couldn't be removed.
I ended up applying the last film (thankfully they include three) in the bathroom after running a hot shower to create a steam. The steam seemed to control the floating dust. It worked much better. But even so, I still have a small bubble caused by a single piece of tiny dust.
But on the bright side, the film is MUCH better about attracting fingerprints.
Overall, happy with these. I apply screen protectors to all ipods, iphones, tablets we have. These were about the same as any others. Actually took me 2 protectors to get one on right. That normally doesn't happen, so not sure if these are different or it was me.
They do the job and attract prints, but easy to wife off. Would/will buy more, as needed.
I am pretty clumsy and was surprised that I was able to apply this onto my Xoom without any bubbles on first try. Now I have two for spares!
The film is pretty good. I wish it's anti-glare though. Anyway, I hardly notice that it's there.
This is my first review on Amazon. I would not purchase this product again as the fingerprints are way too much.
It applies easy like other screen protectors but this product does need improvement.
It's a good protector, easy to install, except for the fact that it needs to be installed in a Clean Room. One spec of dust will create a bubble, and one a piece of dust is stuck to the masque, getting rid of it is a trick. The sticky side of the masque can be cleaned with water, alcohol, Windex, etc, but you have to use a lint-free cloth.
So, if you install it in a clean place, it's awesome, but if you have a house with dust or pets, I recommend installing it in the bathroom after running a super-hot shower (the steam will make all the dust fall).
Once installed the product is fine, however the installation process on the xoom took several attempts to get right and the protector does not survive removal. So I bought three screen protectors and used all three before getting a reasonably bubble free installation.
This screen protector fits the Xoom perfectly. It also goes on extremely well for such a large surface area. You must follow the normal recommendations that many forums recommend, especially with a screen this large:
1) Go into a bathroom and turn on a hot shower & exhaust fan (this cuts down the dust)
2) Clean the screen well with glass cleaner and the lint cloth that comes with the screen protectors
3) Apply the screen protector starting at one end and lay it down slowly
4) While doing this, get close enough to the hot shower to let a little humidity get on the Xoom screen (don't get it wet - use common sense)
I put mine on and there was a little moisture under the screen protector. I used the included applicator to push out the bubbles and moisture and you could not tell that the screen protector was there. No dust, no bubbles, nothing. It looked fantastic and the touch screen worked great. There was less glare and less finger prints on the screen. I highly recommend these, but I also recommend you apply them in a dust free environment, like your bathroom with a hot shower running.
I've purchased and installed many screen protectors for my iphone, droid incredible, mb pro, ipad, and now my xoom. There seem to be fewer options for the xoom and after reading the positive reviews on this one, decided to give it a try. After thoroughly cleaning and applying the first film, there were too many bubbles to count. I decided to try again. After cleaning the 2nd time, same result. I haven't tried the 3rd film yet (hoping the 3rd time's a charm), but I doubt its any different. Previously, I've had no issues with installation, whether it be Zagg's Invisible Shield's wet application (iPhone, mb pro, droid incredible), or Power Support's dry application (iPhone, iPad). I prefer the dry static application, but this one has performed sub par for me.'

16 Ga Medium Crown Staples - d51431, sheeting staples
I recieved the staples a day before the staple gun arrived. As always they were in a Amazon box. Whoever selected the box for these needs a lesson in packaging. I opened the Amazon box to find a smaller box from B & C which was busted open. There were nearly 3000 staples scattered around in the Amazon box. Maybe I should have returned it but I had a project to do. I did contact Amazon but got no response. The staples are fine but their packaging leaves a lot to be desired. B & C Eagle BSM-112 1-1/2-Inch by 16 Gauge by 1/2-Inch Medium Crown Galvanized Sheathing Staple (10,000 per Box))
Just received two boxes of these staples. The staples work fine and I have had no problems with them. However, when these were shipped to me, they were just packaged loosely in a large box enabling them to be thrown around in the box during shipment. This resulted in the strips of staples to be broken up into much shorter "strips"/pieces which makes loading them into the gun sort of a pain.
I ordered these staples and received them in a box much larger than needed with no packing which led to staples being all broken up. Also there was something in the box that I didnt even order. Im very dissappointed and I returned them as I dont have all day to load my staple gun 6 or 8 staples at a time :( The quality of the staples seemed fine but the shipping was a joke.... - Sheeting Staples - D51431'

Framing Nailers
Excellent Nailgun. At first I had misfires or jams and couldn't shoot 10 nails in a row. I changed the couplings on my hose (the mild hiss was a give away) to better couplings. I reconnected the gun and had no hiss from the coupling to the gun or the coupling to the compressor. I went through 2,000 nails without a jam or misfire! Especially helpful was the extra trigger to convert the gun from a sequential to a single fire gun. Bostitch N89C-1 Coil Framing Nailer
Just bought this gun after my old bostitch stick nailer died. I must say this thing is amazing.
As a contractor, I love the features it has. It feels well balanced and is easier to fit in smaller spaces than the traditional stick nailer. I like how I can set it down on its face when im working, I just grab it and go. no laying down and picking up.
A bonus feature that I did not expect nor does the write up tell you about is that It comes with a factory rafter hook that is well placed.
The only thing I can say bad is that it didnt come with a case, not really a big deal but here on the coast rust is a problem so I like to keep tools in their cases.
Cant go wrong with this gun.
I bought this nailer after working with a stick nailer for far too long. This Bostich is far more compact and versatile than a stick nailer. A friend had his for 18 years and didn't do any maintenance on it, so I figure with maintenance this may be the only framing nailer I'll ever buy.
I purchased this gun as a quick replacement for my Max CN890II which Ive had for about 8 years. At almost half the cost of the Max - I'm very glad I switched. No case, but I'd rather have a nice quality gun than a case. I overnighted the gun so I could get back to finishing my barn the next day after my Max died.. Oiled it up and ran about 9 rolls of various nails through it that afternoon and it fired on queue every time.. Very strong quick and predictable. Highly recommend this one!
pro
1, good power for shooting into LVL
2, reliable contractor grade
3, very easy/fast depth adjustment
4, holds 300 nails
con
1, heavy with full nail coils compare with stick nailer
2, teeth could be bigger for easier toe nail
3, rafter hook is plastic, does not last
4, shorter nail coils sometimes do not rotate properly in the box
5, does not set all nails sometimes in fast shooting applications
This framing gun is everything I expected it to be. I like the coil nailers better than the stick nailers because they are much easier to work with in tight areas. Not to mentioned the N89C-1 is capable of driving 16d nails which was the advantage of the stick nailers before. Amazon's great price and fast shipping just makes everything that much better.
Note: The framing gun comes with two triggers "Smart" (Black Trigger) and "Sequential" (Gray trigger). I left the "Smart" trigger on as that is what I have always used. Some people like to change out the triggers because of the possibility of a double fire if the gun hits the surface twice. If you can control the gun and not let it bounce back after the recoil you shouldn't have any problems with double firing.
Too bulky for a framing gun. This thing is HUGE and it seems like a lot more than 8.1 lbs, but it holds 300 nails. Basically, this Bostitch is a GREAT, tough, powerful gun. It will run EASILY on 90 PSI, and I'm sure it will run on even less.
It came quickly, and in perfect condition. Beware, there's no air connection with it. You'll have to buy one to hook it up to your hose. It has female threads.
Pros:
1) There's an adjustable rafter hook.
2) Powerful
3) Tough
4) 7 Year Warranty
5) Inexpensive
6) Quick Nail Depth Adjuster, but not as good as Porter Cable's
Cons:
1) The nailing tip is massive (very wide and thick), which puts the muzzle far away from the wood when toenailing. That causes the toenails to not set all the way at steep angles. This gun has more than enough power to set them, but at an angle, just can't get that close.
2) There are two flanges that stick out the sides which you can't see in the pics. They prevent you from nailing at steep angles. Also, the body of the gun is huge, also preventing many angles.
3) The bulk of the gun prevents you from nailing close to other objects.
4) Coil nails are easily damaged during shipping and handling!!!!!'

Waste Of Money - back cushion, back pain relief
I purchased the Kiss my back! brand ergonomic mesh back support at a bricks & mortar retailer. I have seen similar products at different price points over the past few months and decided that I would bite the bullet on this particular one, even though I have no previous experience with this company or mesh back support products.
It was remarkably easy to secure to my desk chair, which is a fairly standard high back office chair. It comes with two small bungee cords with hooks. The instructions are easy to follow and I had my back support ready to go in minutes after experimenting with a couple of different bungee suggestions.
The experience with the back support is Excellent is far. I do have questions about long term durability, but seeing as I am not overweight or put the support under some unusual stress, I look forward to many years of use. Compared to the pillow-style support I used previously, this is a huge step forward in terms comfort. The styling is simple and it comes only in black, so it should blend in easily with almost any standard sized office chair.
I give it 5 stars for something that I will use all the time, plus the ease of installation, and the comfort I am deriving from its use. Kiss My Back
I purchesed my "Kiss My Back" back rest at Bed Bath and Beyond. Kiss My Back works so well for my needs. It fits perfectly on all of the office chairs that we own,
and the feeling of support that it provides creates a restful space for me to relax in to my chair, even though we are constantly on the comuputer.
Kiss My Back is certainly a product that I would give to all of our friends, Plus, my husband bought them for all the employees in his office, to give them each a sense of well being while at work.
We love our back rests!!!
Thank you,
Marilyn Salmanson
I got this back supporter for Christmas about a month ago. I've been using it in my car and I love it!! I'm a taller guy, so car seats just push my shoulders forward and give me no lumbar support. This gives me support wherever I want to put it. I even bring it inside to put on my computer chair sometimes. Highly recommend!
The shape of the support is perfect, but it depresses so easily that it is worthless to me. Perhaps it would work for a very small person, but my 6' 4", 220 pound frame just compresses it flat to the chair back.
I just bought this at B,B and beyond and I'm so happy about it. I'm
kind of short - 5'2" - and my feet tend to kind of dangle in the air
on office chairs. I just recently thought that there should be some
kind of product for those of us that don't quite sit all the way to
the back of the chair. I've experimented somewhat with pillows behind
my back, but it didn't quite work so well.
I just went to the store to get something else and happen to see this
and picked it up, as it seemed to offer exactly what I had been
looking for.
It took less than a minute to slip the rubber band across the back of
the chair and use the bungee cords.
And it's sooooo comfortable. I love it!
I'm not really worried about longevity of the item (as I see it addressed
in the previous review) as I paid less than $ 10.00 for it and being
self-employed I need to be as comfortable as I can possibly be, as it's
so easy for me to get up off my chair and get sidetracked with
other things in the kitchen etc ;-).
I originally saw this product at Bed Bath & Beyond and bought one for my husband because he has a bad back. He loves it and says that it allows him to sit for long time without discomfort. The elastic in the back allows for easy installation and the package comes with 2 bungees that you can hook up. (We didn't need it.) I went back to buy more. Highly recommend it. (Of course, each person is different, so my suggestion is to try it out at the store and see if your back feel comfortable before buying it.)
I purchased the Kiss My Back for my chair at work. First of all it took a very long time to come in from the company (but I can't complain since it did get here before the last estimated delivery day). But most important, I can't tell much IF ANY difference when I put it on my chair. Maybe it makes a difference with different chairs, but for my office chair, I was just as well without it.
I'm not sure if the item I received was defective but it offered very little support. I'm 6'3" and 160 lbs, I placed this in my chair and my entire back pressed through the mesh and rested on my chair as it normally does. No support.
I figured since this was the more expensive mesh back support it would be of higher quality, but it wasn't. - Back Cushion - Back Pain - Lumbar Support - Back Pain Relief'

This is truly an amazing machine. A huge step up from my old 1.6ghz single-core laptop. The computer is extremely fast and the fingerprint reader is far beyond what I expected. You can 'enroll' your fingerprints (any fingers you want, you can even do all of them) and then set certain fingers to open certain programs. Up to 3 on each finger.
The webcam is very good as well. I was surprised how well it works in low light situations. You can see perfectly!
The only thing I dislike about the computer is the mouse. But you're gonna hear that from the majority of people with a dv6 or similar model. (I bought an external mouse to fix the issue). It's hard to press down when you are trying to drag something. But when you are just browsing the internet then it is fine because I just tap it. I like how it has a mouse lock. You tap twice the small circle in the upper left hand corner and it's locked. Do the same to unlock it.
Also, what I didn't like at first, but now I don't mind, is the keyboard. It has an extra set of keys on the left hand side making it kind of confusing to know where your fingers are. At first I was thinking about returning it but then I got used to it. The keys feel great, well at least to me.
In my opinion you should check out this laptop in store first to see if you like the mouse and keyboard and such.
Overall, this is a great machine (besides the mouse of course). If you think you can look past that flaw then this would be a great product for you at a great price!
BTW- I didn't buy from Amazon (It was $699 at the time). I'm not sure how great Amazon is with computer products. I bought it from office max for $549 on 2/4/11. But they're most likely sold out by now. If you want a cheaper price than amazon, which I recommend, go to HP.com or office depot. Which are both $599. HP Pavilion dv6-3230us Entertainment Laptop (Silver)
I tried a similar model of the aluminum dv6 but had problems with media applications with the AMD Phenomenon chip. This intel core i3 runs like a whistle. Very clean, fast loading device. It runs very cool, even while the battery is charging. LOVE IT!
I've had the dv6-3230us notebook for a few weeks now, and I have to say I'm really liking it. It's fast, nice bright display, the fingerprint reader works flawlessly, it's nice that it has bluetooth too. I have only ran into a couple things that could be better: The keyboard could be spaced out a little more, and it would be nice to have the one finger scrolling that most notebooks have. Other than those 2 minor things, I love this notebook. It's my first time using windows 7 and I actually really like it. Everything that I liked in XP is still there plus some new features. I enjoy having the dedicated buttons on the keyboard for brighness, media controls, wifi, lock, print, calculator, ect. Overall I would highly reccomend this to anyone who's looking for a sub $600 notebook that will knock your socks off.
Many reviews of this computer will draw attention to the clicking section on the touch-pad as it requires a surprising amount of pressure to click on something. However, it is not as bad as some will make it sound. It is not a perfect design, but you can easily compensate by using a mouse or by clicking using the touchpad itself. Do not be deterred from purchasing this computer because of the touchpad, the other features of the computer and the price make up for it in a big way.
I upgraded to this computer from a 2006 Gateway Laptop with a an AMD dual-core processor and I am impressed with the improvement in performance. I use the HP for music, internet, Microsoft office, social networking, skype, and I'm sure I'll play a game or two, but the point is that this is more than enough computer for what I use it for. The i3 processor is fast, especially compared to something that is 5 years older. I could not justify spending more money on a computer with an i5 or i7 processor, I doubt it would make much of a difference for the typical computer user. Don't get tricked into buying a computer with an i5 or i7 processor unless you seriously can not afford to wait an extra second or fraction of a second for a program to load.
The following are a few reasons this computer stood out for me. The price is right; this is a great deal considering the processor, memory space, and the bells & whistles like the webcam and fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner is really convenient, no more usernames and passwords, just scan your finger! The definition and clarity of the LED screen and downloads are impressive, I was pleasently surprised by this the first time I watched a video on youtube. Not important to performance, but the design is very stylish; it always helps to look good. Also, its an HP, I have many friends and family members who own HP computers and have great things to say about the quality. This is my first HP and so far, I would highly recommend it to anyone.
I'm going to review this computer for those out there that are not tech savvy. I wont go into details of rams and giga bytes and video memory and such. I will describe this computer in actual performance.
I got this computer to replace my old Dell lattitude. First off this is a very good computer. It has a huge hard drive which I've only filled halfway with all my programs, my 4,000 songs, 70+ movies, and 2,000 plus high resolution photos. It will be a long while till my hard drive is full.
Great sound from the speakers. I can play movies without having to plug into external speakers to hear them.
Great for watching movies. Has a large 15" widescreen.
As far as games I have Sims 3, Sims 3 Medieval, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, Tiger Woods 08 installed and have had no performance problems. They all run fast. I'm sure other games will work just as well.
This is a fast computer and have had multiple programs open at the same time without any slowdowns or performance problems.
Now the only downside. It has a terrible trackpad. I had gotten so used to the Dells and never used an external mouse on those, but on this it is awful. Too sensitive, the pointer jumps way off if your not centered, and evens moves when clicking the right and click buttons. I got an external wireless mouse for this computer and it is needed.
Overall I'd give this computer a rating of 8 out of 10 (2 points off for the bad trackpad), but this is definitely a great buy and after a month I love it. - 4g - Value For Money - Hp Pavilion Notebooks - Aluminum'

I own lots of nailers, and a PC pin nailer. The PC is good but only allows 1 inch pins. I love the pins, as they are almost invisible when driven. I needed longer pins, so I bought this item..... GREAT. Very high quality. GREX P645L 23-Gauge 1-3/4-Inch Length Headless Pinner with Lock-Out
The Grex gun is a whole lot better than the old Senco I have been using for way too long. This gun will sink the head (if it had one} into oak about .0125,just enough for a bit of puddy. The only thing I dont like is the saftey trigger.Other than that its Great.
JRG
I was using my buddies 23g pinner to hang cabinet crown molding.. About every other nail would not sink and my only option was to pull the nail and try again.. After finally getting too frustrated to keep going on, I went to the big box stores to see what they had... I didn't see anything that really made me believe they'd work any better than what I was already using, so I went online and did some research... It didn't take long before I saw a pattern of everyone pointing towards Grex (I've never even heard of them before this)... The gun was a lot more expensive than anything else I was looking at, but decided I ony wanted to buy this tool once and so I ordered it on Amazon...
The rest is history... I've ran several thousand nails through this gun (baseboard, crown molding, trim, etc.)... Not even one jam.. And the only time I had a nail not sink all the way was me not paying attention to the fact my air compressor had come unplugged... This is a great pin gun. Its super quiet and light... The fact that it shoots up to 1 3/4" pins is just too perfect!! I would never use anything else... I, Like another reviewer, don't care much about the safety trigger... Takes a bit getting used too, especially when your'e stretched out trying to get a pin into an akward spot, but its easily overlooked with all the other benefits it delivers (and I'm sure sooner or later I'll be happy that safety trigger was there). - Nail Gun - Micro Pinner - Grex - Woodworking'

I needed a GPS solution that didn't break the bank. After using a Garmin while on vacation, once, I had fallen in love with the concept. I figured I needed to get a solution of my own. After a bit of research I opted to go with this one and I haven't been disappointed yet. The versatility of the chipset allows me to use a variety of F/OSS applications that fulfill most if not all of my GPS needs. The easy integration with Google earth as well as my PDA was an added plus. Thank the Lord I'll never be lost again! GPS Receiver: Microsoft Pharos GPS-500 III GPS Receiver
This GPS unit is great! Its a lot smaller than the previous units and its fairly accurate to the current position. The unit is compatible with multiple GPS applications such as Streets and Trips 2006-2010.
The GPS receiver plugged into a USB port. I tried it on Windows Vista laptop with a free nautical navigation package which required it be on a serial port. The system automatically downloaded a driver which made the USB look like a serial port. Then I had to change the serial port number on the software to match the driver port number. This all took about 5 minutes. The receiver acquired the satellite lock very quickly and even inside the house gave a location with an accuracy of a few feet.
Very nice GPS receivr for Microsoft Streets and trips. Good Price and easy to set up. I am a trucker and this is a fine accurate receiver for my laptop Streets and Trips program. As for weether resistance, it's not. Don't get it wet. What I did was took one of those roof mount small oval amber lights with the rotating beacon inside apart. Painted the inside of the globe with white plastic based spray paint. Ran a long USB cable through the hole in the base then used spray foam to seal and create a bed for the receiver to rest on. after it dried, I shaped the foam and taped the unit to the bed of foam and placed the cover back on. Now I have a magnetic protective housing with the GPS antenna in it and it works and looks great.
Two thumbs up on this product. Very small and compact & works great. I bought three of them and installed them hidden in the upper dash under the windshields of my vehicles. Then ran the cords to the glove box where they are stored when not in use. Then I just pull the cords out when needed for my GPS notebook.
Arrived quickly and works well. I was having trouble with my earthmate bluetooth GPS receiver not connecting most of the time so this is nice even tho it is hardwired. It connects quickly and stays connected as we are traveling. I am using it with Streets and Trips 2011.
When I received this gps device, I hope that some kind of software to manage it was included in the package, but there's no any instruction or software. Installed in a Laptop with Windows 7. It's plug and play, placed the receiver at the roof of my car. At first a little disapointed, because I found on the web that it works only with Microsoft Street and Trips thats is useless for me, because this had only maps for USA and Canada, and I live most of the time in South America. But after trying with Google Earth, I found in the tool menu an option for GPS, open the 'Realtime' folder option, select the NMEA Protocol, mark 'Automatically follow the path' and click the start button, and after 4 or 5 seconds, my position appear in the map. It's simple to use and a cheap solution if you need a GPS to travel. P.D. The Google Earth needs an Internet connection to display constantly the position, in my case, I have a 3G Modem and an Internet Service Provider that's give me an unlimited data download at a flat cost.
What more can you ask for? Plug it into a Win7 64 bit laptop, the laptop immediately sees the GPS, the GPS locks onto 3 satellites from the basement of a two story home. Works perfectly with M$ Streets & Trips 2010 as well as GRLevel2A and GRLevel3 (storm chasers) using the GPSGate software. I was deciding between the BU353 and this GPS and I couldn't be happier.
This receiver replaced a Microsoft branded receiver that I have been using since 2006. It finally died. I needed one that would work with Microsoft Streets & Trips as that is what I use most of the time. This little jewel filled the bill. I connected it yesterday at home to my computer and even inside the house, away from windows, it put the icon on the map exactly where I was. Next is to try it in the Motorhome with the MS Streets software in navigation mode. - Mapping Software - Laptop - Gps - Driving Directions'

Madison Pettis - football, dwayne johnson
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has had his fair share of battles in the wrestling ring. He was also a part of the Miami Hurricanes football team. He combines the giant ego of "The Rock" in WWE and his football skills to create Joe Kingman, a pro football player who's got everything but a championship ring. He even has something that he doesn't know he has--a daughter. On top of his game, his ego crashes hard when young Peyton (Madison Pettis) shows up at his front door. Never having any sort of responsibilities before, Kingman tries to juggle his football career, his high profile lifestyle and his new daughter. All the while his agent, a devilishly funny Kyra Sedgwick, tries to figure out if little Peyton is the real deal, or just another opportunist trying to get her hands on a piece of the Kingman pie. Will Kingman get his priorities straight, or will he succumb to the fast and easy lifestyle his lived for so long?
Rosalyn Sanchez heads up a solid supporting cast of actors and actresses who you may not be familiar with (excepting Morris Chesnut, playing a solid father-figure teammate). The story is generic and highly unoriginal, but the solid performances of the entire cast and the wholesome, family-geared direction make this story more than worthy of four stars. Everybody, even the quasi-villain Sedgwick, is likeable. Johnson shows his singing chops that wrestling fans will already be familiar with. He also has that million-dollar smile that lights up the screen. Young Pettis steals most of her scenes, even though she could be accused of boosting the sugar content a bit too much at times. Johnson's teammates are also enjoyable to watch on the screen. Their chemistry with Johnson, each other and with young Pettis is great.
If you long for the days of sugary Disney live-action family features such as the original "Herbie" films and "The Apple Dumpling Gang," "The Game Plan" is a welcome treat. It's a rare family comedy that the entire family will enjoy. Highly recommended. The Game Plan (Full Screen Edition)
The Rock is not a particularly good actor and The Gameplan is a hokey movie. But if you have children like I do, then this movie will pull on all the right heartstrings. There's a bunch of these movies where a child that someone didn't know about comes into their life at just the wrong moment. Things are hard at first, then they get things going smoothly, just to have a final big bump in the road that must be overcome. We all know the plot, but it never hurts to see a movie that reminds you that your kids are the most important thing. Not to mention, my son thought the bulldog in the tutu was hilarious.
The '07 Disney film `The Game Plan' is a predictable but satisfying family film starring the irrepressible Dwayne "Rock" Johnson and adorable little Madison Pettis as newly re-united Father and daughter. Joe Kingman ("Rock") is a superstar professional quarterback just three wins away from an appearance in the Super Bowl when his game plan is suddenly turned upside down when little eight year old Paige (Madison Pettis) appears on his doorstep and claims to be his daughter. Can Joe keep focused on the big prize and cope with instant fatherhood at the same time. If he has any chance to succeed he'll definitely need the right game plan.
No surprises here, just Disney doing what Disney does best, so get the family together and enjoy!
THE GAME PLAN is a hilarious heartwarming family comedy where one of the sports toughest players meets his biggest challenge - his daughter and learning fatherhood. Joe Kingman played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is preparing for the championship games when his 8-year-old daughter Payton shows up with no notice at his apartment with the news that he has a daughter. When Joe puts all the pieces together with his agent their first concern is his career but as the movie moves on we see Joe's mentality turn from superstar to dad. As he gets closer to the big championship, he gets some quick lessons in being a father and making the difference to the most important fan in his life his daughter.
The movie is the perfect family movie and I give Disney two thumbs up for this one. Dwayne Johnson & Madison Pettis make the perfect father daughter team. It is a classic to add to any family's collection
The GamePlan, featuring the Rock, is a very good movie that can be enjoyed be the entire family. This was a good natured movie that fits perfectly into the Disney catalogue. A family movie with several funny scenes, and a few poignant moments as well. It is becoming harder and harder to find something that is appropriate and enjoyable for kids and adults. Even newer fare, such as the Shrek films, sneak in risque humor that the kids won't understand but the parents can enjoy. This movie never stooped to that. I highly recommend this movie and give it four stars. It reminded me a bit of The Pacifier (Widescreen Edition). Enjoy! - Football - Dwayne Johnson - Disney - Comedy'
