How dumb do you have to be to know that eating a plant based diet is the best thing you can do for your health?! This book is not "misleading" to people that already know a little about good nutrition and health. Yes, if you've bought into the whole Atkins craze then don't read this book! But if you're looking for a solid nutritional guide that will help you live a healthy, happy life (by following a plant based diet) then this book is a definite gem. :o)
This book has provided a lot of useful information about nutrition. However, I think its title is somewhat misleading in that it doesn't capture the book's very strong PRO-VEGAN stance on all nutrition. I also don't see it as very balanced in discussing any common difficulties or necessary precautions that are often associated with a vegan diet. Finally, I really don't appreciate the authors' constant reference to "making a few SIMPLE changes in your diet" or their "delicious" recipes. I don't agree that the changes they are talking about are "a few", nor are they "simple", but they require a complete and thorough revamping of an average person's diet plus a possible increase in grocery spending. And whether or not something like soy milk or beans is "delicious" is very subjective to say the least... - Author - Exercise - Healthy Living - Relaxation'

Canon Cp760 - portable, selphy
I'm still using HP Photosmart A618 to print 5 x 7 & some 4 x 6 photos. I'll not compare the Inkjet technology with Dye-sublimation because the dye-sub is clearly better in image quality even with 300dpi(dye-sub) vs 600dpi(inkjet). but I'll write about what I liked & what I didn't like using Canon brand printer. btw, I print from the PC (fix the exposure, remove noise..etc photos using Lightroom or any other software) and then I use the official software to print.
What I liked:
- The photo is super clear and the printer produces amazing quality (outstanding). you will never be disappointed. I assure you that.
- The printer is fast enough.
- The paper quality is very good and you will not be worried about papers & ink (36 ink cartridge size will print 36 photos, no less no more).
What I didn't like:
- The paper size isn't perfect 4 x 6 (101.6 x 152.4). It's smaller (100mm x 148mm) in Canon and maybe more smaller than that.
I compared the HP 4 x 6 paper with Canon 4 x 6 paper and the HP was bigger by 2-3mm in width and height. I believe that HP produces a better size of 4 x 6 because when I resize any photo to 4 X 6 using any software I get (101.6 x 152.4) which means 1800x1200 ,resolution 300dpi. But When I print this photo size using Canon, the printer will crop automatically 2-5mm from width and height (Canon paper has 2 tabs at the right and left sides which can be removed after you print the photo). The printer will print at least 3mm in the tab area and will crop 2-4mm from the height.
Now if I don't want to lose any part of the photo, I should resize all the photos I have to 1748x1181 (100mm x 148mm). To do this, I must disable the constrain aspect ratio. but this will make my photo worse (a square looks like rectangle).
To override this problem, I must not disable the constrain aspect ratio but I need to make the height exactly 100mm. that's mean I'll sacrifice some (mm) in the both sides of width (if the Canon paper really 100mm height).
- The default colors settings aren't correct (for me the orange color was warm yellow and the warm yellow in the reality was almost green!!). what you see in the PC screen is different than the printed photo. I printed 8 pictures to find the correct settings for me. Raised the contrast, exposure and saturation a little and not equally. still, the final result not perfect but very good. (the colors, contrast and other settings in my monitor is correctly adjusted. mostly as I can see by my eyes).
Final words:
Before you buy any Canon dye-sub printer, take a look in Epson (PM260 or PM280) or the Fuji (QS-70 or QS-7). Check the actual paper size to make sure you get the 99% of the frame in the final result from the printer. You will need to take a photo to any shop and print it by the models you are thinking of. Make sure to set the resolution at 300dpi and the paper size of 4 x 6. Compare the results and choose what you like then. Canon SELPHY CP760 Compact Photo Printer (2565B001)
This is my 4th "CP" Printer from Canon. I don't know why I keep upgrading because I don't need to. This one is the fastest "CP" Printer yet. I have 2 complaints...
1. They took away the retractable usb cord.
2. No battery support.
Luckily I still have my CP-710 for portability. I use the CP-760 for my desktop machine. I love the new speed, the larger display screen and design of the 760. It still produces great prints so I would rate this printer from a scale of 1 to 10 an 8.5 because of the 2 reasons I mentioned earlier.

This is my first portable photo printer and I really love it. Allows me to print photos for my friends anytime. I usually use it with my macbook pro via iphoto. I normally have to put the brightness setting to highest in iphoto to get the same exposure as on my computer screen. Prints are sharp and colors are saturated with natural-looking skin tones. Really photo lab quality. Only thing I think that would make this better is if it also ran on batteries which would make it a really print-anywhere-anytime machine. Anyway, high marks for this little printer!
I have fallen in love four times in my life. The first was a heartbreaker in college. The second, I married. The third was a Weber Q grill. And this printer was the fourth.
Now, a printer is not the kind of thing one should fall in love with. It's stupid. It's a pile of plastic and metal enclosed in a box. And while it is a very nice box, a box it is none-the-less.
But I am in love. Let me count the ways.
(1) It does what it says: it prints beautiful color photos in about a minute. The printer uses a process called dye sublimation in which a solid ink that is spread on a thin plastic sheet is transferred to the photo paper in a four step process. In the first three steps, different color inks are deposited on top of each other to create all the other colors of the spectrum. In the last step, a clear coating is applied that protects the print from minor scratches and fingerprints. (BTW, don't let the 300dpi resolution put you off. The photos look every bit as good as the "60 million by 24 million dots per blah, blah, blah of the ink jet printers. Evidently, dots per inch are not all the same.)
(2) It is simple to use. You take your picture. You insert your memory card into the front of the printer (it accepts just about every common memory card). You select your photo from the small display built in to the printer and press the print button. One minute later, your print is ready to handle and share. Want to print all the photos on the memory card? Simply select the "print all" command and it will print all the photos. No laptop or PC needed.
(3) It is cost effective - take 1. When you buy the special paper for the printer, the solid ink cartridge(s) come with the paper. You always get enough ink for the amount of paper that you buy so you don't waste ink. Unlike inkjet printers, you don't waste ink cleaning nozzles or have ruined pictures because of a clogged inkjet. At the normal price, prints come out to about 30¢a print. While this is more expensive than sending your prints to Costco, you have the benefit of not having to drive to Costco. With gas at $3 a gallon, you have to factor that in. I have actually bought paper and ink in a 108 print box from Best Buy that was on sale for about $14. This brought the cost down to about 12¢ a print. Needless to say, I bought eight boxes. The paper is widely available from all the big box digital camera retailers and from specialty camera shops.
(4) It is cost effective - take 2. The prints come in only one size, 4x6. (Actually, the print is really 100mm by 148mm. This works out to a slightly smaller 3.94 x 5.83 inch print.) If you want larger or smaller prints, then this is not the printer for you. However, the upside is that you only have to carry only one type of ink cartridge and one type of paper. If the printer had to handle more sizes of prints, the printer, paper and ink would be more expensive.
(5) The pictures are durable and smudge proof. Unlike inkjet printers, the photo won't run if water spills on it. The dye sublimation ink is wax based and does not dissolve in water. Kept out of the sun, the photos should last your lifetime and into your kids lifetime. Will it last forever? No. For that, you need to shoot in black and white on film. Frankly, this printer is not for archival purposes. It is intended to print pictures that you can enjoy and share immediately. Kind of like the concept behind the Polaroid camera.
(6) It is made by Canon. Canon has been making quality photo equipment for generations and this printer is no exception. Service centers are nearly everywhere in the USA.
(7) It is portable. I can store two of these printers - with all power cables and a box of paper - in a large laptop computer case. I have taken them to a school banquet and printed photos of all the guests for a take home souvenir. Using two printers, two cameras, and a small pile of memory cards, my wife and I printed over two hundred take home keepsakes to remember the event with in under three hours. There's even a port for plugging in a 24 volt battery supply, though I haven't tried it yet.
(8) It is reliable. The paper loads in a tray that is inserted into the front of the printer. The ink cartridge is loaded into the side of the printer. The paper feeds from the tray and passes in a straight line to the back of the printer. The paper shuttles back and forth while the layers of ink and protective coating is applied to the paper. That's it. In many other printers, including full size ones, the paper has to feed through several sets of rollers that bend the paper through a convoluted paper path. In my experience, the more convoluted the path, the greater the probability that the paper will jam in the machine because of a tolerance or timing problem. The more convoluted the path, the more complicated the mechanism has to be and the less reliable the printer becomes. The straighter the path, the more reliable. So far, in over four hundred prints printed on two of these printers, I have not had a single jam or lost a photo because of the printer. (Though I can't say I haven't lost a picture because of the crappy photographer. ')
(9) It is flexible. Okay, so your photographic skills aren't the best or you don't have a top shelf SLR. There is a limited amount of adjustability built right into the printer. Want the colors to "POP"? Choose the "vivid" selection and the color saturation is amped up a bit. Want your prints to look "old timey"? Select sepia tone. Red eye a problem? Automatically fixed. While the built-in software isn't going to replace Photoshop, it wasn't meant to. Photoshop is for being creative. This printer is for fixing minor photographic glitches or for adding a little fun to the prints that you can share right away. You can even adjust contrast and color settings if you're the fussy sort. Want more? The included CD has a photo editor and more advanced features to play with your images that you can run on a laptop if you're into that kind of thing. As far as I'm concerned, that's not why I got this printer for.
(10) Which brings me to why I've fallen in love. To me, photos are meant to share memories. When I was little, this meant gathering around the photo album and reminiscing about times gone by. What this printer does is allow you to remember the good times that you've shared TODAY! Before you leave the party, picnic, gathering, or meeting, you can share a photo that can be stuck to the fridge, posted on the board, or stuck in the briefcase. So instead of waiting weeks or years to remember the good times, you can share them now to be remembered tomorrow. Photography was invented to record moments in time. If you want or need your photos to be perfect reproductions of reality, then this is the wrong printer for you. If you want to share the moments of your life, then get one of these and start sharing.
As I'm writing this, Canon has come out with a newer model with some additional features over the Selphy CP760. This means that this model is being discounted rather aggressively. This makes a good deal almost too good to pass up. I ended up buying four more to give to my friends and family. - Portable - Canon Photo Printer - Selphy - Canon'

Black And Decker
Purchased this yesterday to have it delivered today as I was in need of a drill for a project. Put the drill on the charger for 5hrs then went to use it. Tried to drill a single screw in to a wooden box and the battery died... WTH... so I plugged it up and left for 6 hrs to handle some-other things then when I returned to charger no the battery was warm. Tried to drill something and the drill didn't charge one bit. I am very aggravated and disappointed with this purchase and as such I'll be returning it and going down to a hardware store and picking up another. Factory-Reconditioned Black & Decker BD12PSKR 12V Smart Select Cordless Drill
It paid me to buy this. My car has sealed headlight assemblies with moisture inside. $300 for the dealer to replace. I bought this drill, a package of drill bits and taps and a couple of set screws, drilled a vent hole in the lens cover, turned the lights on to drive the moisture out and plugged the holes and kept better than $250 in my pocket. I have used the drill for countless projects since - works great, good balance, lots of power and enough torque settings to drive you crazy. Use it as a drill, power driver, forward and reverse. Great tool.'

Excellent Skin Treatment - cleansers, acne
I have tried everything...Obagi, Dermalogica, ProActive, Clear Skin..etc. Finally I found Alpha Hydrox. I am African American, 28 years old and I live in Houston (so humid). I have very, very, very oily skin and adult acne. My face was gorgeous in highschool, but as soon as I went to college disaster struck. I went to dermatologist, I took prescription medicine, but nothing ever worked more than two months. I have been using Alpha Hydrox products since last year and my face is beautiful. I had dark spots and they are slowly clearing up, but the oil production has SIGNIFICANTLY decreased. Im so suprised I must admit, I never thought I would be able to go a half day without being oily, much less a whole day. I do get about 1 to two pimples (very small) every now and then, but nothing compared to how a use to break out (more than 10 pimples). I use the complete line of alpha hydrox products. I will never use anything else. Thank you so much I feel like I have my life back! Alpha Hydrox Foaming Face Wash - 6 fl oz
It foams up wonderfully. A little bit goes a long way. It feels extremely gentle, but does a good job of getting your face clean without making it feel dry. I liked this better than similar products that I've used. This caused no irritation and no burning sensations on my face at all. I'll definitely continue to use this product.
I loved the Alpha Hydrox Foaming Face Wash. It cleaned my face and left it soft, smooth and squeaky clean. I've only used it for a week and I've really noticed a difference in my face. Its not dry anymore, and I haven't had any breakouts since I've started using this product. The only thing I didn't like about the product was the smell -- I think it needs a scent added to it. All in all, I love this product and will be buying it from now on! I'll definitely be recommending it to my friends and family!
I've been using this face wash on and off for YEARS!
I just saw this at Ulta for around $6 so I will use this until they stop selling it.
I started using Alpha Hydrox about 8 years ago. I had bad acne from using the pill and was on ProActive.
This cleanser worked just as well and it wasn't $40!
My skin was so soft and seriously, after one day of use my skin cleared up.
I'm so happy I found this again. They've stopped selling this at most drug stores.
I have dry skin during the winter and super oily during the summer. This is great cleanser during the summer months.
It's a bit drying on my skin during the winter so I use Aveda moisturizer after.
Btw,If you love Aveda cleansing gel, you might like this.
this is the best face wash. ive had acne all my life and i have tried everything and i swear by this product. ive almost given up trying other stuff because its all a waste of money. i was thankful i tried this one and will stick with it. im using it together with their enhancing lotion and its the only thing that made my skin clear in years. i just hope they wont take it off the market--please. - Acne - Skin Care - Exfoliation - Cleansers'

Impact Drivers - impact drivers, dewalt
Not long ago a friend gave me an extra DeWalt 18 volt drill he'd come into. I'd been using a 12 volt Makita for over a decade, and I was impressed with how much more torque and battery life the DeWalt had. The same friend also had a DeWalt impact driver from the same series, and again, I was impressed how well this handled mechanical tasks usually relegated to a pneumatic impact driver. But even more impressive was how well the DeWalt worked for driving screws.
A few years ago, the major cordless tool makers started to come out with impact drivers which they marketed not to mechanics, but to carpenters. While today's 18volt cordless drills do a pretty good job of driving screws, they still start to bog down when driving really long screws into hard or resinous wood. The slow, stall, and eventually overheat. But impact drivers don't do this. They work on a different principle, using a motor-driven hammer to repeatedly strike an anvil that drives the output shaft. As the load increases, they switch from spinning to a rapid-fire staccato impact mode, in which every impact turns the screw a bit farther, while the motor continues to spin and bring in cooling air.
I was very pleased to discover that Amazon had a DeWalt impact driver available in a batteryless and caseless package (for those of us who already have a charger and several batteries) for about $125. I purchased mine for a mix of yard projects- this is a great tool for driving the big screws used to tie landscape timbers together- home projects, and motorcycle/scooter maintenance. And amazingly, it's even lighter and more compact than the DEWALT DC759KA Heavy-Duty 18-Volt Ni-Cad 1/2-Inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kit. I'm giving away my Makita 12v drill/driver to a nephew who likes tools and gadgets, and switching 100% to the DeWalt system. Bare-Tool DEWALT DC825B 1/4-Inch 18-Volt Cordless Impact Driver (Tool Only, No Battery)
I bought this last year after my Black and Decker 18v drill died it's 3rd death. I got it in a 4 tool combo kit on sale at Lowes. I build haunted houses for the Halloween season so most of what I do construction wise is with rough and sometimes very old and hard woods. The woods are also made super tough (like rock) from a chemical that must be sprayed on them to make them fire retardant. I found that before, even with an 18v drill that screws would shear off before going into the boards which made it difficult to make secure connections in the wood. It is hard to make something look old and spooky and still have it be safe so having good, solid tools is a must. Right after I charged the battery I tried this tool out. Wow!! It drove a 3 inch deck screw into an old hardened 2x4 in the blink of an eye!! I had never used a tool like that. It quickly became a favorite of mine on the jobsite. I used it hard and it never once let me down. I bought it toward the end of the build so I only got to use it on a few hundred screws but never a disappointment. I'm looking forward to using on this season's build as well as in my volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone who builds.
I bought this tool to add to my dewalt collection. I have had the 18volt dill for years and did'nt think that I need an impact driver. I was wrong. I am using the impact more that the drill for driving large screws. It make the jobs much easier. The driver was shipped by a third party and I received it in just a few days. I was very impressed. This is an excellent tool if you do lots of repair work with 2 by lumber.
I have long been a loyal DeWalt costumer, especially when in comes to cordless tools like the 18v drill I purchased 6 years ago. That drill quickly became my favorite tool and has seen constant use since. In fact I was so happy with the drill that I did not see any reason to buy an impact driver, until a couple of projects I was working on required me to drive a large number of constuction screws and lag bolts. My drill was able to drive them but not as easily or quickly as I would have liked, so I decided it was time to give the impact driver a try and my only regret it that I did not buy one sooner. This driver is by far the best power tool I have ever owned. It is absolutely necessary for driving lag screws or anything comparable but also preforms so much better in less demanding tasks like running deck screws. I have discovered that it is also quite handy for boring large holes even though that is not the intent behind the tool. If you put an Irwin Speedbore bit in this thing it will chew through 4 by lumber in no time. Using the driver for boring has saved my wrist on a number of occasions as those Speedbore bits require quite abit of torque to run and if the bit binds up while using a regular drill all that torque gets transferred to your wrist. Now that I have a set of Irwin Speedbore and Spade bits plus a decent hex drill bit set my drill is relegated to drilling metal and the occasional pilot hole.
This driver is also much better at removing rusty and stripped screws than my drill, just another unexpected bonus.
Without exception this is the one tool that goes with me to every job. - 18 Volt - Cordless - Dewalt - Impact Drivers'

Computer Backback - computer backback, backpacking
I purchased this product as a backup for my $100 leather laptop case and because I saw it listed as a top seller -- it's now my full-time laptop carrying case and I understand clearly why it is so popular.
Well-designed, sturdy and light ... perfect for the office as well as school. Lots of pockets without being gimmicky, ergonomics were definitely a major consideration in product development. It's so much more comfortable than my pricier laptop case and so much more versatile, too. I can carry books, files, lunch -- just about everything but the kitchen sink without getting a sore shoulder.
My purchase price was <$20 with the rebate but I would easily pay twice that with pleasure should I ever need to replace it. Un-be-liev-a-ble. Great for students or as a gift. Targus Groove Backpack Case Designed for 17 Inch Laptops CVR617 (Black)
I got tired of "trying to be a cute grad student" and set out to replace my painful messenger bag with a laptop carrying case that possessed the following:
(1) padded protection for a 14" wide screen laptop (Dell XPS m140) and its relatively small charger,
(2) space to accommodate at LEAST a 1.5" binder (and 1" text book, if at all possible)
(3) multiple compartments to store pens, graphing calculator, organizer, cell phone, and other small what-nots
(4) padded dual shoulder comfort/ superior durability
(5) in giving up the messenger back I knew I had to compromise some style but I really wanted something that wasn't terribly bulky, colorful or dramatic in overall design
(6) and most importantly- on a college student budget I refused to pay the $50+ price tag of many popular models...
So, I came across this backpack after a thorough search for something compatible. The Targus Groove Backpack met all of my criteria! Please note, I have not had it long enough to comment on durability but it is made very well (thick, tight stitching, smooth zippering, reinforced bottom, etc). It is a BIG book bag but it makes up for that in the modestly coordinated black nylon with gray logos and its non-bulky exterior. Additionally, the laptop pocket fits my Dell m140 perfectly (13x9x1.5") and it still has breathing room for thickness and height with a small Velcro strap to go over the top exposed portion of the laptop. The pocket padding is very sufficient, but I still keep mine in a thin protective sleeve to keep the case scratch free. I was ecstatic to find that it could house my overstuffed 1.5" binder, charger, cell, calculator, pen/pencil zipping case, organizer, AND a 2" text book with more room to boot!! Of course I had to put it on for a test of comfort and found the shoulder padding EXCELLENT. (I am small framed so I hope this will prove true for larger statures as well.) And BEST of all, I caught it on sale at CompUSA for $29.99 with a $10 rebate for overall $19.99 +tax!!! I really wouldn't change anything about this bag except maybe add lower lumbar support or a massage mechanism (kidding). Oh yeah, the bag itself is relatively lightweight, which I found to be a problem with some other models.
All in all, it seems to have been a GREAT buy and I would highly recommend the Targus Groove Backpack to anyone looking for a lightweight, comfortable, non-tacky, compartment friendly, inexpensive and spacious laptop backpack.
This is the least expensive Notebook Backpack that I could find but it's surprisingly well made and stylish. It looks much better than its picture...MUCH better. I like the numerous zippered pockets. There's a place for everything, digital camera, cell phone, papers, books and even a mouse. I prefer taking an external USB mouse instead of using the touch pad on my Notebook. There's three nice bubble type pockets, one of which fits my optical USB mouse nicely. My big Laptop with its 15.4" wide-screen fits inside the Backpack's built-in sleeve like a glove with no room to spare. Another nice feature is the PVC coated bottom. This will protect the computer if you inadvertently set the pack down on wet ground. Most Notebook Backpacks are considerably more expensive without giving you more. The Targus CVR600 was a perfect fit for my budget. Plus it's easy on the eye with good quality and plenty of compartments. I give it my highest recommendation. (Note: Amazon had the best price after FREE shipping was factored in.)
Every so often, a bargain comes along that defies belief. The Targus CVR600 notebook backpack is one of these items. The construction of the unit is excellent. There are pockets gallore on the outside and inside of this backpack that will allow anyone to bring as many accessories and items along with their notebook computer as they wish. The main compartment holds my 15.4 inch screen notebook snuggly and securely. The straps on the backpack are very comfortable. The main reason why I was looking for a notebook backpack is to be inconspicuous while I was transporting my computer around. I didn't want to get the standard notebook carriers because this just basically advertised that a valuable piece of equipment was inside. With the Targus backpack, I am now incognito. This backpack is a fine product that performs as well or better than its much more expensive cousins. A great product.
You know you want to. You're thinking about it. You're reading reviews, thinking "Hey...maybe this is the one for me." You're thinking it, aren't you? Of course you are. And you should be. Because it's the best bag ever. There's room for everything, it smelled nice even right out of the plastic, and it fits very tiny people (me) and very large people (my friends). It is very comfortable, and does not squash the b00bs of either gender (this is a big deal for me since most backpacks squash them, and that makes me sad). On a daily basis i drag my laptop, a few tome-sized textbooks, an old skool (paper) notebook, absurd amount of pens, calculator, an extra battery, cell phone charger, mp3 charger, usb mouse, laptop adapter, girly stuff (brush, makeup...girl things) and i can still cram extra clothes in there if i need to. i am a happy kitten.
EDIT: Almost four years later, I still use it very frequently and I love it. Still in perfect condition, very minimal wear and tear, even the tags on the zippers are still on. Best. - Targus - Backpacking - Computer Accessories - Computer Backback'

Cordless Nailer - finish nailer, finish nailers
So glad I decided to give this gun a go! I've been using Paslode finishers for a while now and needed a new one. This bostitch was cheaper, which made me have my doubts. They were quickly put to rest when the gun turned up. So light, well designed, small batteries, so much quieter than the paslodes. I thought maybe because the gun is physically smaller as well (only by a small amount) that it would lack the power to drive nails all day. Once again I was mistaken. Bostitch have a very good reputation over here in Australia which is why I got it and it has far exceeded anything I expected. The nails are easy to find also as they are a common size. Well done Bostitch, I'll be sticking with it from now on. Bostitch GFN1564K 15-Guage Cordless Angled FN Finish Nailer - Cordless Nailer - Finish Nailers - Finish Nailer'

Stacking Supports - rolodex, stacking supports
The product is a beautiful wooden file tray. However, beware, the picture illustrates a double tray when in actuality you buy each piece separately! It is a good price even separately, but could cause a delay in getting organized and additional mailing costs when you have to re-order. You also have to order the pieces that hold up the stand and I haven't been able to figure out how to do that yet. Rolodex Elegant Warm Metropolitan Look Desk Tray (23350)
I have had two of these trays for a few years. I did at one point buy the (sold separately) spacers to stack them, but I've never been a fan of stacked trays and abandoned that idea. I keep these side-by-side on my desk, using them as a pair of "In" and "Next" boxes for David Allen's _Getting Things Done_ method of organizing tasks.
These perfectly match my cherry desk--so much so that they look like a set. I have a bunch of the other desk accessories in this series (pencil cups, etc.) and they all look fantastic. Elegant without the overdone aluminum mesh. Sturdy, useful, and about the right price if you're on a budget without degrading into black plastic.
Highly recommended.
I bought this desk tray to help organize my desk. It has been a success. By using it, I have managed to keep my desk more neat and organized.
The tray is made of wood and stained an attractive deep rich brown. It is the right size to easily hold letter size papers. It is also deep, so as to contain several papers easily. It is front loading, which is perfect for my needs.
Although a fairly simple item, this desk tray manages to be attractive and functional. I highly recommend it for people who want to de-clutter their desks.

I just got the 3 trays that I ordered and am very pleased with them. They look very rich in the dark wood. Weight-wise they are lighter than my original wood tray, but are absolutely perfect for the price. I wasn't looking to spend twice as much, and I don't feel that I sacrificed too much. They are functional and handsome on my new desk. - Letter Trays - Organization - Stacking Supports - Rolodex'

Panasonic 50 Inch Plasma
The picture quality of this TV is simply excellent. Compared it with more expensive Panasonic "Infinite Black" G model and it's impossible to see the difference in real video content. You need to be in total darkness and have very high quality, low noise signal with large swatches of black and put them side to side to notice a slightly darker black in G models. Of course, just watching TV you will never think I wish blacks were deeper.
I've watched HD programs over the air, from blu-ray, Netflix from Roku, and from PC over HDMI. All modes 480/720/1080 progressive and interlaced displayed perfectly, and TV did a good job upscaling lower resolution to native 1080. No problems with motion, no blurring, no color fading or runoffs. TV does have a slightly lower moving picture resolution 900 lines (vs 1080 lines in top models), but it's quite impossible to notice that without measurements. So sports viewers will be satisfied. Also, on a positive side, the screen is not as glossy as the majority of other plasmas, so reflections are subdued.
I've been using this set for a few days now, so I can't comment on "image retention" problems that previous generations had. Supposedly the phosphors used in this set are improved from previous year, and reportedly they last longer. Just be sure you turn on the "pixel orbiter" to avoid burning in the logos and avoid prolonged display of static images. You can also run "scrolling bar" once a day for 15 minutes for the first week to age the phosphors evenly. Not all plasma owners believe a break-in period is necessary for the later generations of plasma TVs, and no plasma manufacturers now suggest their sets require break-in.
The description Amazon (and it looks now they removed it) seemed to suggest that TV had a built-in Wi-Fi. It doesn't, you need to buy a separate Wi-Fi USB adapter for that. Due to lack of adapter I cannot tell if IPTV and DLNA are working as expected. The other negative is common to all plasmas, which is high power consumption. You don't find this information advertised anywhere, because this set is rated at a whopping 339W. The built-in audio is weak, it has two tiny 10W speakers. It's fine for casual watching TV programs, but if you want to watch movies you probably want to invest in a separate audio system.
This TV may lack all the bells and features you can find in more advanced models, but it does deliver an excellent picture at a very reasonable price and that what matters most.
Edit 5-8-2011. I installed USB Wi-Fi adapter (Netgear N600) to test the Viera Tools. I didn't find them very useful though. It has Netflix client, but picture quality is poor (compared to Roku on the same network). Then there is CinemaNow, which I never used. Amazon Video on demand looks OK. I don't have any use for Pandora, Napster, or Facebook, so I can't comment. There is also Media Player for SD and USB cards, works pretty well. I popped in an SD card from Panasonic camcorder and picture was pretty good, no conversion was necessary. And finally, there is DLNA client, which I couldn't make to work. I does find the DLNA server, but connection always fails. Panasonic VIERA TC-P50S30 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV
I have only had this set for a few days now, still in the 200 hour break in period. With the occasional pumping back up the contrast and brightness to get an idea on how everything will really look once the 200 hour break in is over.
One thing that I like about the TV is the Matte finish on the screen. It still reflects, but I have had a sliding door without a drape over it for a couple days and the reflection, while there, was greatly reduced over my last set. Last set Mitsibushi, 54inch, rear projection HDTV. So the screen itself does well with reflections overall. Perhaps there are better.
I originally bought this for $999 at best buy. It's now $899 here at Amazon. 4 days after my purchase. GET IT!!!!
Picture Quality so far:
As I have said, I am breaking in. For those that don't know what this is, but it's what you SHOULD DO, you run the TV with no static images for up to 200 hours and the contrast and brightness turned down. My contrast is about 25. My brightness is about 45. Occasionally I have raised the contrast up to check movies or video games, but only up to 50 contrast, and brightness up to about 65. This will help prevent image retention/burn in and improve the lifetime of the tv and over all picture quality. I also did this with my rear projection as well, and never had burn in issues, even with video games. I hope this tv will not have much of a burn in problem. But the TV provides 2 things in addition to help that.
To prevent and or fix burn in, this tv gives you the ability to turn on your screen and that the screen will slowly move around and position itself so standing pixels will at least move. Such as those logos on video games, or games with HUDs, or bullet counts, or on screen maps in the bottom corner of the game. In addition to that, there is also a 15 minutes moving white bar pattern that is supposed to help remove burn in. I have tried it but since I don't have burn it, I can't tell you if it works.
I hooked up the XBox 360 with HDMI and as soon as I turned it on, I saw an immediate improvement over my last TV, which I still think is a good TV. But I got some WOW factor here. Small Text is amazingly crystal clear and readable. Everything just looked sharp and detailed. And this is just moving around the XBox Menus.
Watched the 2012 John Cusak end of the world movie over Netflix. WOW!!!! Again, my settings are far from optional, and the detail was amazing. LA slipping into the pacific never looked so good. All those little details. Grant it, the source material, the movie, is exceptional when it comes to computer generated imagery, but this set seems to really steps up to the challenge of reproducing it.
Refresh rate: 600Hz. <- this is the main reason I decided on Plasma. This helps make 2012 look amazing, and it also helps if you play video games or watch sports.
Then I played some Red Dead Redemption, just a bit. WOW!!!! factor again. The graphics are pretty good in this game. And I have played it quite a bit on the old tv. The old TV was Component Hook Ups and only 1080i max. Now with this Plasma, it's HDMI, and 1080p, which the XBox and Read Dead Redemption can support. Again, the details were amazing. Colors very nice. (remember, my settings are way below even normal). Very smooth camera turning. I was riding along, and the sun started coming up over the horizon. The stars were twinkling away. Then the first rays of light hit the ground. And the shadows were long, as the sun passed between tree branches. OMG!!! It looked really really good. What an upgrade. My old TV wasn't cheap, $2300 back in 2000. It could preform. But this Panasonic just rocks it out of the water.
Sound. The speakers are small on this. I suggest Bass +4, Treble +1. Adding a little more Bass to your sound output will fatten up the sound enough and not give you such a tinny sound. My optimal viewing will be through a sound system though.
I like the SD card feature and the hook ups. Will even take a Keyboard.
Tried the Network connection and used their version of NETFLIX in the Viera section. I found NETFLIX to be a little slow compared to the XBox 360 with Netflix. Slow when moving around the menus. But no biggie, the movies played just fine. Has Facebook and Twitter, but I don't plan on using those. The Network features I may not use much at all. But it's still pretty cool if you want options to do so.
This is an early review. I am giving the set 4 stars. Not for anything being wrong with it though. I have seen so few reviews for this particular set, about none, just thought I'd get this up there.
I have it on the supplied base unit. Easy to install. Heavyish though, but lift-able by one person.
I like this TV. Plasma was for the video games and sports viewing. But Plasma is more susceptible to burn in with video games and static scores and logos. So I am taking the time to break this tv in. But you should get some WOW factors if you purchase this TV.'

Well i think its a cool suit, the image has improved since I bought mine. The original image read, 3 button two pockets (picture showed one on each side) and a single breasted jacket with conservative lapels. I got what you see in the add..not quite the government business suit. My tailor was scared to fool with the elastic waist and I cant figure out how to make the pants into a 38 not the 40 they are. So all of that made me very unhappy. Customer service was cool they refunded me and didnt send me a shipping reciept, told me to keep the suit. I think that if the picture was right then I wouldve ordered it but if I wanted this kind of suit it would be a top choice..I would actually order again from these guys tho...go figure

Canon Printer Ink - ink cartridge, ip1800
This cartridge was designed for one purpose... To keep you busy buying ink!! Most printers that uses this cartridge will also accept the PG-40 cartridge (double capacity) or the PG-50 cartridge (triple capacity). Whether you're buying factory new (O.E.M.) cartridges or refilled/recycled carts., do yourself a favor and pick the 40 or the 50 series carts. and get far more ink for only a little more than these!! The same goes for the color cartridge that mates with this one. Canon PG-30 Black Ink Cartridge (1899B002)
Can't give this product a good rating because there is NO INFORMATION on the carton OR the cartridge that tells us how much ink is in the cartridge.
I'm surprised that Amazon.com would advertise a product that has no weight and/or volume info on the package.
UPDATE -- The Canon MP470 is a GREAT Scanner-Printer-Copier -- BUT, I do believe it's an incurable inkaholic. That is to say that the Canon MP470 is to ink what the Hummer is to gasoline.
This sale was a bit misleading since it states under condition that this product is New. It is not, its a refilled cartridge which originally did not bother me, however, like many refilled cartridges, they dont last like a manufacturers sealed cartridge does. They do work in my printer with no issues, but normally cartridges last me approx. 2 1/2 - 3 weeks with my use, and the first one I used just ran out after less than 1 week. Even with a great low price, this was not a good deal for me. I will go back to the sealed manufacturers ink cartridges.
I used to order ink cartridges from office stores. I have two printers home.
I didn't realize that Amazon.com carries this kind of products. What a surprise! The price is much cheaper than office stores. From now on I will purchase ink cartridges from Amazon.com only.
Too expensive and runs out way to quick, I think they actually reduced the amount of ink in each cartridge, that or they dry out. Price does not fall Canon is a rip off, but better than others, if you can find cheaper Target is a good choice go for it, otherwise Amazon is best even if pricing is not competitive.
These cartridges do not last long. I get only a few pages from them when using for both text and photo printing. I normally like canon products, but this product (Printer and Cartridges) is pretty lousy.
The shipping and deliver process was fine. I don't know if its ink cartridges in general or just this brand, but they always seem to run out so quickly! Or at least the program starts telling you to buy new ink in no time. I'm stuck with it because of my printer, so at least the price isn't terrible (in my experience- compared to Dell.)
Exact ink cartridge I needed for the canon 2600. I looked all over the internet and this was the best price I can find. I like the brand name due to the chip that lets you know when the ink is running low. I'm very pleased! - Canon Printer - Ink Cartridge - Ip1800 - Canon Ink'

Kids Fishing
Hurricane Ike and an 8' tidal surge wiped out all of our fishing gear...but not our pier! So with most of our money going to repairs and such, this was the bargain of the century to get back out on that pier to catch whatever Ike left in Galveston Bay (or put in it...lol). Buying more now for friends to use when they visit. It may not be the best on the market (and who really cares at this point) but it catches sand trout, big croakers, etc. I like it just fine. Zebco 33 Spincast Combo Fishing Pole
This is, by far, one of the best combo deals you can find. I always bring a spare rod and reel when I go camping/canoeing (because when you're 20 miles from nowhere and your reel breaks, you better have a backup). It might not cast as far or have all the bells and whistles, but it will catch fish!
The reel is so tough, you can drop in your backpack when you're hiking in case you get lost and need food. that's how much trust I have in it.
This is a good little fishing combo. I bought this for my mom so we could go fishing... She really likes it. I dont care much for spincast reels but this is a good one if thats what you like. The rod is very nice too, though probably too long for a little kid, considering its a bit over 6ft long. Can't beat the price either!
I got this rod and reel combo as a first for my 7-year-old son based on the good reviews from Amazon. It seemed fairly easy to use, but as another user noted, was very prone to tangling. I had to open it to untangle the nests. He used it not more than five days when the reeling mechanism stopped working. I brought it to the local Walmart to see if they could fix it (since they also carry this item) but they were unable to do so. I've read that open-faced reels are much easier to work with. I'm sending this to Zebco for warranty service and hoping they can fix or replace it.
It's a Zebco 33 on a 6 ft medium line weight (6-14 lb), lure weight (1/8-3/4 oz) medium action composite pole, made in China. It casts nice and smooth and retrieves OK. I have no complaints for the money spent. My only con is that it came spooled with red "cajun" line and I prefer Stren Original, or Berkley Trilene.
I am a novice fisherman but I have been pretty happy with these poles. I go out for small mouth bass pretty often and this fits this bill. I won't rate it on what I actually catch because I think that's mostly my fault. But its a solid construction and good value.
Is it the best fishing rod on the market? No. Is it a perfect combo considering price and usability for newer fisherman or the standard fisherman only able to go fishing occasionally? Yep.
I bought this rod as a backup to a rod that I've used for five years. I've started using this one more than the other, however, because it's, well, easy and convenient. Sure, you won't be looking to haul in massive catches using this rod, but for your standard stream, river, or pond you should be completely fine using this rod.
I have no complaints. It's very usable, functional, and I've had no problems after using it this summer! Reeling is smooth and simple!
Recommended as a beginner, backup, or standard rod for the occasional fisher!
I ordered two of these poles because the prior reviews spoke reverentially about the combo and specifically the reel. First, the packaging is horrible. These should ship in tubes, not boxes. One package was split open, retaped and missing a piece. The other must have suffered some crushing on the box, because after two casts my two piece combo was a worthless three piece combo. I fish quite a bit and do buy good gear, this seemed like a good starter combo for a camping trip, but everything about it was cheap...the reel barely worked either. Go spend your money and time elsewhere.
I bought two of these combo's from Amazon. The price of the Combo is less than the reel.
First day out we caught over 120 sandbass, hybrid and a couple GAR. 30 sandbass were keepers (some as large as 2 lbs), Hybrids were just at 2 lbs.
I did have a proble with first few initial casts, so I cast the reel out, then walked backwards to let out lots of the line. Once I reeled the line back in, it was flawless. I was casting as far as most spinning reels. Got these to cary on the back of my scooter. I wound up buying 4 more for my family to use whenthey are here, they prefer spincast. I do have over 100 high end rods and reels (Abu Garcia, Dawia, Quantum, Mitchell, etc), but for quick go fishing and have fun, wow these are GREAT. I was also able to use same day delivery, and got them the same day ordered (I live in the Dallas, TX area).
One friend caught a huge log fish hahaha, and was able to reel it to the pontoon, so that we could save the lure.
Great product, all metal gears, ZEBCO is back!!!'
