Farberware - eggs, egg poachers

A very high quality piece of specialized kitchen equipment. Does a perfect job of poaching. The glass lid lets you moniter the cooking process and it's vented. Has a nice weight and the teflon cups keep the eggs whole. It's as easy as making a soft-boiled egg.If I had to do it again I probably would have bought the 6 egg model because now the whole family want's poached eggs. Fagor 4-Piece Egg Poacher Set

As a chef, I tend to be overly critical of kitchen pieces I buy. This piece is made from quality materials and poaches eggs very well. The 4 is perfect for my wife and I, but if you have more people, I would take a look at the six egg. If you need an egg poacher, look no further.

I was very pleased with the impressive quality, design and function of this egg poacher. The eggs came out PERFECT. They popped right out of the cups. No messy clean up. Also, the generous handles to pick up the cups were not overlooked; they were so easy to pick up with an oven mitt. No fumbling with a fork to get the cups out like with some other egg poachers. The beautiful brushed stainless steel pan and glass lid were also extremely well made. I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally find the perfect poacher!

I've had this pan for about six months, but the cups which have never been "non-stick" are scratched and our eggs are infiltrated with pieces of the egg cups coating. I emailed Fagor to try to get replacement cups since the pan itself is in great shape. They DON'T sell replacement cups! I cannot believe it really. I'm sending the pan to Goodwill and buying a Calphalon. $31.99 for a pan that lasts for six months is too much.

I love this egg poacher. With a little butter or spray nothing sticks. I use it all the time. The only problem is that because the handle and the knob on the lid are metal, they get VERY hot when cooking. So its easy to burn yourself. Just be careful.

Just a thought/note on those worried about the teflon issue. Since you are poaching with this, that means you are using water/steam. By definition (physics) that means the teflon will never heat up over boiling (100 degrees celsius/212 F). This is generally a fairly low heat.

However, once Teflon starts to flake off, you might want to toss it...

I bought this for a friend who was pleased with the high-quality saute pan and glass lid, however she was put off by the cups being made of teflon. I didn't know she had an issue with it.

Supposedly studies have found that pans coated with Teflon can give off unhealthy fumes when the pans are heated to medium and high temperatures.

Perhaps this is an issue for some and not for others.

Anyway, she really liked everything about it except for the cups.

Shipping and delivery time from Macy's (via Amazon) was very fast.

This poacher is a very high quality commercial version. Its a cinch to clean up & I highly recommend this model compared to the cheaper models.

A couple tips:

1) bring the water to boil without the cups or lid on (otherwise they will get too hot to touch by the time the eggs are done being poached)

2) put a little oil on a paper towel and wipe on each cup before use (i don't use butter or margarine.. no need to)

3) bring the water to a boil then turn the heat down to half and put the cups in, then crack the eggs, place the lid on and set the timer for 2:30 minutes or to your liking.

I bought this for my mother at Christmas. She has been raving about it ever since. She loves the quality of the pan, it has a heavy base construction that allows for excellent heat transfer. She also loves the non-stick egg cups and that there are 4. Her other one had only three and they were not non-stick. She has asked where I got it and wants me to order a second!!! - Eggs - Egg Poachers - Kitchen - Egg Cookers'

Nikon - nikon

As a long-time owner of the Nikon D5000, and former owner of the Nikon D60, I was eager to purchase the D5100 after seeing the announcements and pre-reviews. Being one of the lucky ones to buy the D5100 with 18-55VR kit earlier this week, I've had a few days to play with this camera and can honestly say it's a solid upgrade to the D5000 I'm replacing, and should be on the short list of consideration for any "prosumer" looking to purchase a D-SLR with outstanding image quality, performance, and low-light capability in a lightweight, compact (for an SLR) body. And, unlike the D5000, this D-SLR finally has a usable Live View and HD video capabilities both with continuous autofocus.

First of all, it's important to understand where the D5100 fits in Nikon's capabilities. It is considered a "high-end enthusiast" D-SLR which means that it shares the same image sensor as the high-end D7000 without some of the higher-end features. If you're like me, very few of the D7000's features justify its extra cost and weight. The D5100 offers nearly the same image quality as its bigger brother in a less-expensive, smaller package, while adding a few tricks the D7000 doesn't have including an articulating display that helps you frame hard-to-reach spots.

Compared to its lesser-priced but still excellent brother the D3100, the D5100 offers improved image quality, speed, and resolution, along with a higher-resolution articulating display. For me, this is the sweet spot in Nikon's consumer D-SLR offerings.

The 18-55VR (3x) f3.5-f5.6 kit lens provides surprisingly good performance and image quality, although you'll likely outgrow it quickly. I have uploaded a few sample images taken with the D5100 and 18-55VR to show its performance and surprisingly good bokeh (pattern of blurred background) in large-aperture and macro shots.

For lens upgrades that include an AF-S autofocus motor, if you don't mind changing lenses, the Nikon 55-200VR is an outstanding value with excellent image quality, or consider the Nikon 18-105VR (5.8x) lens included with the D7000. If you don't mind some distortion and image softness, the 18-200 VRII (18x) lens may be your perfect "walkabout" lens. For me, I bought the pricey but outstanding Nikon 16-85mm VRII. Don't forget the Nikon AF-S 35mm f1.8 (if you can find it).

Low-light performance is outstanding with this camera, and the level of detail captured by the D5100 is excellent, even at higher ISOs. You're best capturing in RAW or RAW+JPEG mode (three different JPEG compression levels are offered) if you need to go back and fine-tune exposure or other settings after the shot. Nikon also offers "Active D-Lighting" which is a highly effective method for improving dynamic range of a photo to equalize the difference between high and low-light areas of a photo.

Interestingly, the improvement in image quality compared to my D5000 isn't dramatic. Given the incredible improvement I saw when upgrading from my Nikon D60 to the D5000 perhaps I had unrealistic expectations for this new sensor. But in most image settings, even low light, the improvement is noticeable but subtle. That speaks more for the outstanding quality and low-light sensitivity of the D5000 sensor (which is shared with the D90) than it speaks against the D5100. With the D5100 you get higher resolution for improved cropping, and the 14-bit RAW images offer greater dynamic range for more flexibility after the shot is taken.

Speaking of RAW format, as with any new camera, there is a bit of a wait until updates are available for your favorite camera software. As of May 18th, Adobe, Apple, and Nikon have added support for the D5100 RAW files, so you can use Aperture, iPhoto, Nikon View NX2 (v2.1.1 and later), Nikon Capture NX2 (v2.2.7 and later), Lightroom 3 or Photoshop CS5 (via Adobe Camera RAW 6.4 or later). If you use other photo software or another platform, you may want to verify RAW support for the D5100.

Compared to my D5000, Nikon has gone back and addressed most of my concerns on ergonomics and performance:

- camera body is roughly 10% smaller and 10% lighter

- 16.2 megapixel CMOS DX-format image sensor (shared with D7000) captures 14-bit RAW images and offers +1fs greater low-light sensitivity

- ISO 100-6400 range with expansion to 25,600 ISO (D5000 minimum is 200 and expansion to 12,300)

- high resolution (920k pixel) display for greater detail in image previews (although I had to bump up the default brightness one notch for accuracy)

- side-mounted articulating display no longer interferes with tripod (the D5000 display is inconveniently hinged at the bottom)

- dramatically improved (now usable!) LiveView mode with continuous autofocus even in HD video mode (more on that later)

- full HD 1080p movie capture without the "jelly effect", in more standard H.264 mode up to 22 min (D5000 is AVI format 720p up to 5min)

- slightly better control position (LiveView is now a rocker switch on the mode dial, Video Record is just behind and to the left of the shutter release)

- significantly quieter shutter release (plus, a "Quiet Mode" is available although hardly necessary)

- faster performance (4 frames per second)

- SDXC compliant supports higher capacity cards

- remote control sensor on rear now in addition to front-mounted sensor

- improved battery life, and an improved battery release

- battery charger now has built-in collapsable plug instead of requiring separate power cord

- MUCH better eyecap design no longer comes off in my small Nikon camera bag; also an improved diopter (eyeglass) control

- additional in-camera editing capabilities, including ability to trim video

- new "gimmick" special effects: in-camera HDR, selective color, night vision, etc

Let's start with the display - moving the hinge to the side not only makes the articulating display usable with a tripod, it makes the camera body shorter, so that it matches the height of most popular Nikon DX-format lenses and no longer leans forward when set down on a table as the D5000 did. It makes a surprising improvement in shooting comfort also. Nikon has improved the rubberized grip of the body and the thumb rest in the rear, although some have said that the grip is a bit shallow for larger hands. For my average-sized hands it is very comfortable.

The improved control placement is mostly welcome as well. LiveView is now a spring-release rocker on the side of the Mode Dial (VERY handy) and the video record button is also now on the top of the body, in front of the mode dial and behind the shutter release. What I didn't care for is the placement of the rear camera buttons, which now all shift above and to the right of the display to accommodate the left-mount hinge. What I don't like is that the "i" button (used to display and change shooting info) is too far away from the 4-way mode switch, so changing default shooting settings is a bit more of a stretch on my thumb. On playback, the delete button is just to the right of the Zoom buttons, instead of being far away like it should be. I didn't find myself accidentally deleting photos, but I'd rather have had a button closer by that I use more frequently (like the Menu button?)

What has dramatically improved from the D5000 is LiveView performance and HD video capture. Neither are perfect, but compared to my D5000 both are quite usable in the D5100. In LiveView mode, the D5100 tracks faces and subjects quickly and accurately, although still nowhere near fast enough for sports events or that "quick shot" like you might be used to with a compact camera. On my D5100, LiveView autofocus typically took half a second in lower-light conditions, which is no match for the viewfinder, but a huge improvement from the D5000.

Video capture is another notable improvement in the D5100, capturing single videos up to 22 minutes of 1080p HD (if you have the SD card capacity), in H.264 format, with continuous autofocus. Gone is the "jelly effect" of the D5000 when you quickly panned horizontally and the video appeared to bend. In theory, the continuous autofocus sounds like a great improvement for video capture, but in practice I found it slow to react (especially in low-light situations). Too often I found the camera "searching" for the correct focus, even with the (optional) Nikon 35mm F1.8 AF-S lens. It was so distracting that I ended up disabling autofocus and learning how to manually adjust focus as I moved from subject to subject. Also disappointing is that like the D5000, the built-in microphone is monoral. For stereo sound, you must buy the (forthcoming) ME-1 external microphone. Overall, the video capabilities are promising, especially at 1080p, but I am more satisfied with the native 720pHD stereo video captured from my Canon S95.

Rounding out the list of improvements and new features of the D5100 are the new "special effects", including the first in-camera HDR mode for any Nikon D-SLR. In practice, while there may be edge cases for these effects, I am not particularly impressed with any of them, including HDR. First of all, you cannot capture RAW with any of the effects. For HDR, there are further limitations (can only be used in P-S-A-M modes, not auto, no flash, etc). When you can get HDR mode to work, it can only be enabled one shot at a time, and then you have to go back to the menus to turn it on. Luckily, you can assign HDR mode to the Fn menu button. HDR mode takes two quick shots for each shutter press and then combines them in-camera to create a single JPEG. You can specify the exposure difference (Auto, 1EV, 2EV, 3EV) and level of "smoothing" (Low, Normal, High) between the captured images. I took a number of high-contrast shots with HDR enabled and honestly couldn't see a difference, although I'm still going to try. If there is any good news, it's that Nikon has chosen a fairly conservative / realistic HDR algorithm as opposed to an "eye-popping" but over-processed result.

In summary, I'm quite happy with the D5100. It provides the optimal balance of top image quality (even in low light), lightweight and compact (for a D-SLR) body, articulating display (the only D-SLR from Nikon to have this), and HD video (not perfect) that can leverage the outstanding collection of Nikon lenses (understanding that only AF-S lenses will autofocus).

Notable comparison with the higher-end D7000:

- same 16.2megapixel image sensor with 14-bit RAW image capture for outstanding dynamic range, low-light performance, and detail

- ruggedized plastic body lacks weather seal (it's also smaller and lighter weight)

- no builtin focus motor for older lenses (you'll need to buy an AF-S lens if you want autofocus)

- fewer autofocus zones (11 vs 39) and lower-resolution matrix meter

- pentamirror viewfinder (smaller, not as bright, 95% coverage) vs pentaprism viewfinder (100% coverage)

- no flash commander mode (unless you buy an external flash with TTL triggering)

- slower continuous performance (4 vs 6fps)

- 1 SD card slot instead of 2

- no top-mounted LCD display

- fewer dedicated controls for advanced settings (you must use the menu system more frequently)

Notable comparison with the lower-end D3100:

- higher resolution 16.2megapixel sensor with 14-bit depth

- high resolution (920k pixel vs 230k) display, articulating for hard- to-view shots

- higher low-light sensitivity

- faster performance (4fps vs 3fps)

- better battery performance (660 vs 550 images on the same EN-EL14 battery

- slightly larger and heavier body Nikon D5100 16.2MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens - Nikon'

Woodworking

A very comfortable respirator. I did end up with 2 since the medium was too small for my face. Even on the small side the mask was okay to wear, but the correct size is much more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. The mask does require a bit of suction to pull the baffles open, so breathing is a bit more laborious. Straps are comfortable and easy to adjust. 3M 7500 Series Respirator Half Facepiece Kit With Filters Medium (No Eye Protection)

This mask is a good one. I have used others and find this one to offer a better seal and more comfort. I highly recommend this mask for woodworkers.3M 7500 Series Respirator Half Facepiece Kit With Filters Medium (No Eye Protection)

The 7500 series is the best fitting mask available to someone that can't spend tons on BSA equipment.

I trust my life to these masks. Paired with the organic cartridges even the most volatile concrete sealers are safe to be around.'

Notebook Deskstand - laptop holder, notebook stand

I looked at about 8 different cooling stands all over the net until I narrowed it down to this one and something called the iLap, which was over 3 times more expensive than this one. My primary criteria for the stand was that it be able to be used while lying down flat on my back not just while sitting at a table/desk or upright on my lap. Another criteria was that it keep my clothing from getting hot from the laptop but that it not have to use one of my USB ports or electricity to power a fan like some of the cooling stands did. And lastly that it fit my 13.3" MacBook. Both Kensington and iLap fit all of this criteria. I ordered this one from Amazon and the iLap from the Apple Store. Both had near 5 star reviews.

The Kensington arrived about 3 days later and I began using it immediately. My primary worries turned out not to be issues when I opened the box and acutually was able to see the product. Those worries concerned two issues. 1. That the laptop would not really be cooler because it would touch the base of the stand which appeared to be a flat sheet of V shaped plastic. The unit actually has a large square hole on the top side to allow air to flow to the laptop base. 2. The laptop would slip around since there didn't seem to be anything to hold it in place (the iLap had a removable suede cushioned lip to hold the computer in place). Again this was unfounded because the same large square hole in the top side had a rubber (or rubber like anyway) ring all the way around it which holds the laptop in place. As a bonus it also fit my 15" Dell laptop. Both the 13.3" and the 15" laptops hang over the sides of the stand but that's not an issue. And the unit can easily be used while laying down in bed without raising the laptop too high or requiring me to place my hands at a weird uncomfortable angle in order to type or use the trackpad.

On the other hand the iLap arrived a day latter and was totally unusable. The removable suede cushion on the iLap required me to place my hands high above the laptop in a really awkward position in order to use the keyboard while lying down and using it without the cushion so I could position my hands comfortably resulted in the laptop not being stable and sliding all over the place. Additionally there was no opening in the iLap to allow air circulation although the stand was made out of aluminum with sand-blasted and silver anodized finish.

Bottom line I kept this Kensington stand (and I'm using it right now) and sent the iLap back for a refund.

I highly recommend this stand. And if it turns out not to be too durable as some have hypothesized and only lasts a year that will cost less than a nickel a day and I will just buy another one. However I don't believe this is going to happen. Kensington Lift-off Portable Notebook Computer Cooling Stand (60149)

I wanted something basic, but this is more basic than I expected. There is a U-shaped metal bar that supports the stand, lifting the top piece up from the bottom. Although there are two slots for it to go in (only), the slots are just an inch or so apart, meaning they are about the same height. The angle of the laptop goes from shallow to slightly shallower.

The description said that it's made for up to 17" laptops. Well, my 17" MacBook Pro is mighty wobbly, and I have to slide the computer down toward me so that the front is sitting on the table top, thereby preventing it from rocking even with normal typing. As a result, I also don't get any height adjustment to the front of the machine, and have about six or seven inches of stand sticking out behind my computer. Now that I look at the product photo again, their computer is slid down on the stand, as well.

The steeper angle is not terrible, but I'd like it steeper, and I've half a mind to chop off the useless back third of the stand with my jigsaw so that it won't take up so much space in my drawer. If I'd bought this locally I'd return it and get something more flexible and more compact.

I didn't want to spend a fortune for a cooling stand with fans, etc. This works wonderfully well if you tend to use your notebook in your lap. I found my legs (living in Florida and wearing shorts) got too warm directly under the notebook.

My notebook does slide off it a little when it's on a tilt, but no biggie. This is a good, reasonably priced, way to go. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.

Five stars seemed just a bit too generous for such a cheap plastic pad. Maybe 4.5 would be more accurate? Anyway, we wanted to conserve battery life by avoiding the fan driven cooling pads. I'm happy to report that IT WORKS! It keeps my mom's 17" HP notebook nice and cool. A simple and inexpensive solution; you can't ask for much more.

The moment I opened the stand, the plastic hinge at the back broke off. This is made poorly and is very flimsy. However, it is light weight, portable, and functional. For the price, it wasn't worth the hastle of returning it. I am using it broken and it still functions.

I bought this stand because I use my laptop while lying in bed and wanted something that would allow air flow to help cool the computer. One of the other reviewers indicated that this stand was perfect for my application, but I could not disagree more.

First of all, the "hole" that is supposed to promote colling through air flow. In my opinion, the hole is too small OR they should have more holes spread out to accomodate the various fan locations on laptops.

Secondly, there is not a lot of room for angle adjustment (the adjustment is very limited).

And finally and most importantly, the hinges on the stand protrude so that they tend to "dig into" your stomach area when you are lying in bed or leaning back in a recliner. After a while it can get pretty uncomfortable, so you canot use it for very long (hope that makes sense).

Overall I would say that it is a decent stand for use on a table, desk or on your lap in you are sitting up erect. If you plan on using this stand while reclining or lying down in bed, I woul pass on it (mine is on it's way back to Amazon).

Hope this helps.

Vga To Hdmi

We just dumped satellite and went pc to tv to save money. At first we tried a vga to component converter, which was good, but it didn't make use of our tv's high-def so the picture was a bit fuzzy. Then I saw this converter and at the price, just had to try it. The difference was night and day. We now have access to our tv's native widescreen resolution, and the HD picture quality is as crisp as on the laptop screen. I wish we had tried this first!

We have a Philips 42PFL5332D 42" plasma and a 2006 Dell laptop running XP. Our connection is vga to hdmi (this is the connection needed for HD quality). It took literally a minute to get the picture up, and it appeared at the right resolution without us needing to do a thing.

The sound was a different matter, due to our inexperience. With our old converter we ran a stereo cable out of the laptop headphone port to the audio-in on the tv. We left that as it was and got no sound. We unplugged it and got sound - from the laptop's speakers. I'm ashamed to say it took me half an hour to figure out that we had to use the audio cable that came with this converter, connected between the laptop headphone port and the converter itself so it could feed the sound through the HDMI cable to the tv. Hey, live and learn, right?

As other reviewers have helpfully noted, this converter comes with everything you need except an HDMI cable. So I also ordered an HDMI (2 meter) 6 foot cable HQ 1080P 1.3b, and it works fine with our setup.

There are just two small negatives that led to me giving it only 4 stars. First, as others have said, it doesn't have an on/off switch, which seems an incredible oversight. And that leads to the second negative: this converter runs hot. To allow a little airflow underneath it I put it on top of the two small plastic endcaps that came with the HDMI cable. We'll see if the heat this thing produces impacts its performance in future, but for now, we're very impressed with it. Component video (YPbPr) / VGA To HDMI Converter With Auto Up-scale

I wanted to connect our PC, which has only VGA out, to the LCD TV (720P), which does have VGA input, only coaxial, component or HDMI. My IT co-worker recommended going VGA to HDMI rather than VGA to component because analog to analog conversion is more "messy" and requires a higher end device to work well. I took his advice and after some research, I decided on this unit over cheaper alternatives because of the auto-upscale function (to 720P, which matches our TV), and the price is very affordable. (A note: since I purchased this a month ago from CE Compass, the price has dropped by $10. Wished I had waited just a little - but the new price makes this a even better value.)

My setup: PC(VGA) to VGA Splitter (w/ amplifier) to converter to TV(HDMI), plus audio from PC to the converter - this way I won't have to connect and reconnect the PC's VGA output all the time. (I also have audio going from the PC to the stereo system directly for watching movies.) As soon as we have the unit connected and the resolution on the PC changed, it started to work with no problem at all. Video quality is great and everything we have played fit the TV screen perfectly, always making maximum use of the screen. Some videos are darker on the TV than the monitor, which could be caused by the VGA splitter, but it can easily be fixed by adjusting the TV's brightness level.

The only con, if you can call it that, is the lack of an on/off button. There is no reason the unit should be drawing power even when not in use (light is on and body feels warm to touch). I may get a plug-in switch so

I can turn it off individually from the surge protector.

With this converter my family is able to enjoy streaming movies, TV shows and sports on the TV without buying a new computer with HDMI output. The video quality on the TV looks amazing when playing HD content, and with non-HD resolution videos it sometimes look better on TV, probably thanks to the auto-scaling.

The ETA was Aug 4th - Aug 19th and I received it on the 4th. Delivery was great. The item was exactly like described. A very quick, easy set up. Comes with all the wires except the hdmi cable. No off switch. The item got warm pretty quickly.

Now for the downside. It did not work. I can see the my desktop picture but it was blurry and it continually ran from left to right. I have a 47in rear projector 1080i Panasonic TV. I called customer service and they answered quickly. He was real helpful. Im pretty electronically savy but I let him run through protocol. He had me try several different troubleshooting issues. It still did not work. I asked him since my TV was 1080i not 1080p was that a problem. He said no that it should be fine because 1080i should be equivalent to 720p. He then gave me my options. He said I could send it back and I could get a full refund or they could send a new one. I asked him about the shipping costs for sending it back. He said they would refund it if the item if it was found nonfunctional. I then asked him what if the next one you guys send me doesn't work either. He said to call back and they would still refund the item but not for the shipping cost.

So, a week later I get the item and it had the same exact issue. I call customer service and they had me run through the same troubleshooting procedures. They then asked if I can take to another TV that has an HDMI in. So I had to take it to my in-laws. It worked on there TV. I then called back and told them it worked but it just doesn't work on mine. I asked for my options again. They said I can return it and they will send me one of there other more expensive convertors or that I could just get a refund. They didn't give me andy hassle about the product or any hassle about getting there other item.

There customer service was totally awesome. I just wish it would of worked. On the trail again. So theres no need to worry about what if it doesn't work on my TV because they have great customer service and refund policy.'

Blueproton - 8gb, flash drive

I purchased this drive to serve as a USB stick on my XBox 360, replacing an older SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive SDCZ6-4096-A11. The first thing I noticed was that everything took much longer to load and any game that had an auto-save feature was basically unplayable during the save. So after some more testing on a real computer, I found this drive to perform at about half the read/write speed of my previous drive (avg of only about 5MB/sec both ways I believe).

A complete waste of money honestly for what I intended to use it for. The look is really awesome, however, if that is all you are going for. SanDisk Cruzer Blade 8GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive

Overall, this USB flash drive is an OK product. Like a previous user has said, it is a bit slow writing, but has decent read speeds. I'm not sure what happened to SanDisk's flash drives but a lot of people are experiencing slow speeds across various SanDisk flash drives.

Pros:

+ Small

+ No cap to lose

+ Decent read speeds (~16MB/s)

+ No software pre-installed

Cons:

- Slow write speeds (~4MB/s)

- No LED

This is a very small flash drive:

1 5/8 inches long x 11/16 inches wide x 5/16 inches high

This small size allows these drives to be placed side by side, even when the USB ports are very close together. The small size also means that it is just that much easier to lose (or be stolen). At the back of it there is a hole that will allow you to connect it to a string or a strap.

A big drawback for me is the absence of an LED. Without this LED, you will not be sure when it is active, You will get no direct feedback from this Flash drive.

The manufacturer has deliberately omitted the read and write speeds of this drive. That is because they know that it can be a slow poke at times.

In making your purchasing decision, these are the key issues:

- Price (not the cheapest)

- Size (the smallest, but no LED)

- Speed (pretty slow)

After losing my tried-and-true Cruzer, I knew that I wanted another SanDisk product. I liked the looks of this this one. Keep in mind it is smaller than the pictures make it look. It is about the size of two keys on a standard keyboard.

Pretty average read/write speeds.

The product takes a long time with plug n play. The problem is that it only works part time. I only use it for music but i have to take it out and put it back in several times to be recognized. I thought it was my computer so i took it to work and used it in 2 desktops, 3 laptops and 1 netbook. I hope that anyone else who gets this product has better luck. I have several SanDisk Micro, Mini and Standard SD cards and they work great. So not all is bad.

Capacity, durability and style very impressive. Word of caution: This product is smaller than it appears in photo. It could be easily lost. I personally attached it to my key-chain and carry it around in my pocket wherever I go. I would get a chain and hook for it to avoid losing it. I love how it attaches discreetly to the computer and one could hardly notice it, without sticking out and being in the way of everything like some other long/thick thumb drives.

Frankly, I have selected this product coz i had a gift card in hand and i had no idea what to buy using that .... But I would say this a best buy ... it is cheap and compact and style too .... But there is no cap or something like other usb drives ... I would recommend this if you are looking for a compact and cheap usb device - Flash Drive - 8 Gig Usb Flash Drive - 8gb - Blueproton'

Mp3 Cd Player - pepsi stuff, mp3 player

I bought this CD player about a week ago and the anti-skip is terrible on it. It skips when you walk with it, the sound quality is poor, and it lags when you try to skip tracks. The COBY company obviously does not know how to make a quality portable CD player and I am not very happy with my purchase. Stick with SONY or PANASONIC much better quality COBY MP-CD521 Personal MP3/CD Player with 120 Second Anti-Skip Protection

Well...I took a chance and got something based on the low price. I knew that it was kinda risky not to follow my instincts. After only a few uses, it broke. Oh well...I just took it as a lesson and moved onto Sony.

The only problems I found with this player are that the display is very small and hard to see if you are optically challenged as I am. Also, as mentioned somewhere below by another reviewer, it takes a long time to click through to a particular song, say #10 on the CD. I assume this is due to the 120 second skip protection, which is rather large.

But on the other hand, it is light, thinner than my last CD player (a Philips)and louder than my last CD player. I bought this with the Sennheiser headphones which are an over-the-ear headphone so they don't hurt your ears. The two work well together. Another plus is this player plays a long time on two batteries; my last player took four.

For the money, I can recommend it, especially since with 120 second skip protection you can practically take this thing on a trampoline and not have an interruption in your music.

This product is trash. The display did not work, and it skips tracks constantly. Colby also charges you 6 dollars to repair or replace their defective product. It's cheaply priced, but in the long run will cost you more money as you try to repair it. When the repair doesn't work, you'll end up spending more money on a better product.

Need a magnifying glass to read the text on the screen. Very unfriendly controls. To make it complete, it didn't function properly. Have to send it back to manufacturer and hope for the best since Amazon's return ploicy on open items isn't very nice. Stay away from this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great little portable. I use it in my car and love it to death. The sound quality is great, and the 120-sec skip protection works perfectly, In fact, in the two days I have been driving around with it (and I drive a LOT), it hasn't skipped once.

Where else ya gonna find a portable CD/MP3 player for less than 25 bucks?! And a good one to boot! Thank you Amazon, that's why I love ya.

This product is far by the worst CD player I've ever owned. It's takes a while for the songs to read on the CD and the songs will randomly stop while the eye tries to read the disc. At first I thought it was just my CD, but I changed it through 8 CD's and the same thing happened. The anti-skip is also terrible like stated above. I wouldn't recommend this cancerous CD player to anyone. The headphones are also VERY uncomfortable. Please don't waste your money.

I do not normally buy electronic products that are not from older established brand names. but I was desparate to replace my five month old Panasonic SL-SX450 player which stopped working a week earlier (I use it for jogging). This model seemed quite affordable and was well recommended. Using a different headphone the Coby MP-CD521 has good sound quality but the battery life is terrible (4-5 hours on Duracell). In my car the anti-skip protection is a joke. This product may be useful in the homes of stationary people. It is definately NOT for active people. - Cd Mp3 Player - Pepsi Stuff - Cd Player - Mp3 Player'

Ovulation Test - conception, ovulation

I am glad to see Clearblue Fertility still on the market. We were having such a difficult time trying to get pregnant with our almost five year old son. The CLEARBLUE FERTILITY MONITOR made all the difference in the world - as I was using fertility meds. Clearblue Fertility Starter Kit

First things first (this is my disclaimer) I am NOT a doctor or in the medical profession AT ALL. My kids are 9 & 6, I have no intentions or having more children but I want to share the wealth because this product worked for me twice! I have always been an athletic woman who has had irregular cycles, with that said this product was suggested to me by a friend when we began trying for our first child. An ad for this product just came up on a site I was on and brought a smile to my face, pleased its still around. Follow the directions to the "T" and be patient and hopefully it will be a success for you as well.... GOOD LUCK!

I was ready to become pregnant with my first child, and a friend (who's 39) was pregnant with her 2nd child, and she recommended this to me. It worked! My day of ovualtion was NOT day 14, like al the books say it should be. Mine was day 17, or even 18. Four months after I started using it, I couldn't believe it- I'm pregnant for the first time! Follow the directions well, use it when it asks for a test. It's worth the price tag. - Pregnancy - Ttc - Conception - Ovulation'

Stylus Pen - stylus pen, iphone stylus

I was originally using the pogo stylus as it was the only one available in Australia, and wasn't all that impressed. It did the job, but tended to be rather spongy, and didn't have the greatest accuracy. In a meeting with a design company, one if the designers had the Elago stylus, which he let me use for a few minutes to test. It seemed so much better, and even with the brief time I used it, I could see the difference. Within 10 minutes after the meeting, I was googling the Elago stylus, and purchased it via amazon.

It took a while to arrive (didn't think express shipping was worth it) but when it did - oh man. I wish I'd gotten this product sooner. It glides over the iPad screen extremely smoothly, is extremely comfortable to hold (even being left handed). Comparing it to the pogo is like comparing velvety smooth icecream with crushed ice.

I don't often write reviews on products, but this one surprised me so much that I thought I had to. I highly recommend it. elago Stylus Pen with Clip for iPhone 4/3GS/3G, iPad and iPod Touch, AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4, Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab

I've tried the Pogo, the iClooly and this Elago stylus. There are benefits to all. I am finding lately that I use this one more for handwriting things on my iPad and iPhone, and my daughter uses it for drawing. I have a Zagg screen cover for both and this stylus glides smoothly, does not drag like some cheapo no name styluses (styli?) I picked up that also had a rubberized tip. Minimal pressure is needed, and the weight and length is good. I recommend!

There's no reason to keep adding about the great functionality of this pen.

I have been using and have been extremely pleased with the BoxWave stylus sold on Amazon by the same seller. In my opinion, the functionality is exactly the same with the two pens. Both work amazing!

Here's the unfortunate part; The BoxWave has a nylon string and clip that plug into the headphone jack. In fact, I am looking at the pens side by side and they look 100% similar except for the string. The BoxWave has the clip as well and is $5 cheaper. I am almost sure it is the exact same device that is simply branded by each company with their own logo. I have been using the BoxWave for a few weeks and now can't possibly imagine not having the nylon string. I would have lost it a long time ago if not for this attachment.

I did not think this feature would matter much but I am now sitting with this Elago that i will never use because of the lack of the nylon.

Do yourself a favor folks and but the BoxWave. It is the same pen and you can cut the string off if not needed.

Elago, do yourself a favor and add a string. PLEASE?

I should have believed the other reviews. After spending over $20 on others that do not flow smoothly, this one is like comparing a Lexus to a Chevy Cobalt. My only complaint is the length which should be a few inches longer.

I get the alure of being able to write with your finger on the ipad. But the reality of REAL note taking is that we humans are built to write with an instrument other than our finger. I guess I could have re-trained myself for several weeks...but I need to be productive NOW. I still love that I can move things around with my finger...I don't think if Apple would give in to this all would be lost...so bring on more hand writing recognition programs...PLEASE.

Bottom line on this product...I love it. I couldn't wait to open the box and as soon as I did I was sooo happy. It writes very smoothly. Now that does depend on the program you are using it with. Noteshelf is super smooth. White Note is pretty good but not as natural and intuitive to how you write now.

And someone mentioned the logo written on the side...who cares. It does not interfere with function at all. The clip on the side is fine and I am able to clip it right to the side of my ipad cover...perfect. Now I'm ready to get busy.

Me and my husnband got the iphone recently and they were our first smart phones.

soon after we realized my long nails and my husband's large fingers were very difficult to work around to send text on a touch screen keyboard.

I am thrilled with how well this works!!

Unlike any other products, this works great with very little pressure.

Plus I love the stylish design. It's slim and light weight!

I highly recommend it and I am sure you will like it!

I'm gonna get one more for my husband.

I've only used this one, but I must tell you that I don't plan to buy another one. It's comfortable, good size, good materials and it works perfectly.

I'm a graphic designer and I've been using apps like Brushes and Sketch Pro on my iPad and I must say that I'm quite satisfied with the results. I only wish it had something to protect the tip. - Elago - Ipad - Stylus Pen - Iphone Stylus'

Polaroid Digital Camera - camera cases, digital camera

I tried several cases for my new Canon S90 and this case had the best snug fit for the S90 without being too snug. It will provide a modest level of protection for the camera without adding unnecessary bulk. The outer pocket will hold an extra battery and/or memory card. Case Logic TBC-302 Ultra Compact Camera Case with Storage (Orange)

I recently purchased a Canon S90 to complement my 5DmkII on a safari in Tanzania. Throughout the trip I had the S90 on my belt for quick and easy access; the case isn't bulky and seemed to protect the camera well enough from the occasional knock as the land cruiser hit big bumps.

On my last day in Tanzania I was walking through the streets of Arusha when suddenly I felt a hard tug that almost spun me around. I turned to see a man starting to flee. I started off in pursuit--concerned more about the memory card than the camera itself--but after a few steps realized the camera was still at my side, only a slight rip in the strap indicating anything had happened.

Recommended as a sturdy carrying case with a reasonable amount of padding for impact protection (you won't want to drop it from very high or expose it to strong blows).

This case happens to be a good fit for the Canon S90. If you're hiking or are on vacation, it'll get you that crucial amount of padding plus room for 1 or 2 spare batteries and SD card. I particularly like the fact that the belt loop is fixed (not a clip), so once you put it on, you can be confident that it stays on, no matter which woods you're cutting your way through. Use a wider belt if you have one, the case wiggles a little with slim belts.

If you're out in Metropolis though, the "outdoor factor" may be just a tad over the edge. You can remove the metal hook and cut off the bright label with sharp scissors, but it'll still look a bit too dorky for, say, the opera or sushi gathering. For such occasions, you'll do better with Canon's PSC900 Deluxe Leather Case.

I read this was a good case to get for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 so I ordered one at the same time I ordered my camera.

I got them on the same day and was happy.

I like the case, it is padded and has a little pocket in the front, but I was hoping the pocket was a little bigger. You can't really fit anything in there.. maybe a SD card, but it can't have to bulky a case and there is no way a battery will fit in there.

As for the camera, I liked it at first, it has a snug fit and seemed perfect, but then I realized how unperfect it was. I put the wrist band on it and all the sudden it was way to hard to close, I was afraid I'd scratch it trying to get it zipped. I found a way around this by turning the camera backwards facing away from the pocket.

Another thing I noticed and I HATED was when it was turned the right way with the wrist band on (not sure about without it.. only noticed after I put it on) is that the fit was TO tight that sometimes when zipping it up the zipper hits the on off switch and tries to turn it on.. which isn't good cuz the lense has no where to go! Again, turning it backwards seems to help with this, but I still have to be real careful when putting it up to avoid hitting it...

I like the snug fit but at the same time I wish it was a little bit bigger, I'm afraid if I am in to big of a hurry I might accidently hit the camera with the zipper or something.

I just purchased a Canon SD4000 and wanted a good case to secure the camera. I went with Caselogic TBC-302 and I love the fit.

I had many different cases and every time I get frustrated of keeping the camera in the case because it doesn't fit in my pocket.

Usually, I would just keep the case in my bag and the camera in my pocket.

The TBC-302 size fits comfortably in a regular pair of jeans.

Enough room for a spare battery and SD card.

Purchased this on advise from other reviews for the Panasonic Lumix ZS7 I purchased. Case holds the camera and an extra battery in the main section, and the memory chips in the small section. Has a loop to be attached to your belt. It is very small and a tight fit for the above, but it is perfect for what I wanted. Sturdy construction and has a little bit of padding to keep the camera secure. Perfect case for this camera and the few esstentials you need to bring along.

I just purchased a Panasonic Lumix ZS7 from Amazon and am looking for a case to protect it. I read a few reviews on this case that referenced Panasonic Lumix and/or ZS7, so I ordered one. Don't make the same mistake I did!

This case is too small for the ZS7 (or any similar size model). Once you cram it into the case, it really takes some effort to get the zipper closed. I'm afraid of the zipper scratching the new camera. Since return shipping costs almost as much as I paid for this case in the first place, I'm stuck with it or selling it online elsewhere.

I'm giving the product a good rating because I do like the case, it just doesn't fit my specific camera, which I had no way of knowing until after ordering it. There could be more cushioning, so like others have mentioned, I wouldn't expect it to protect the camera very well if dropped from several feet. But to protect from scratches and average jostling around, it's decent enough.

Update: I checked out a few stores in my area, taking my camera along with me for a fitting.

If you like the looks of this case, but want one for your ZS7 or similar size model, check out the Case Logic TBC-303. The camera will fit, with room to spare, plus has the zippered storage pocket on the front. Similar to the TBC-302, it will hold the camera and offers some protection from bangs and scratches, but isn't likely to protect your camera much if dropped. The big-box store that starts with a "W" is selling it for nine bucks in my area.

If you want something with more cushion/protection, I would recommend the Case Logic QPB-202. It has a plush interior with thicker cushioning along with a hard molded front. It wil fit the camera inside and has a mesh pocket for memory cards and an extra battery. Definitely feels like it would better protect the camera if dropped from a few feet up. I'm buying it from Amazon for less than ten smackeroos. The "W" store didn't carry it and the office supply chain had a higher "Max" price, over thirteen bucks. - Digital Camera - Compact Digital Camera Case - Blueproton - Camera Cases'

Micro Sd - 4gb, cell phone memory

The Kingston 8 GB microSDHC Card works flawlessly with all my memory card readers: Kingston Mobilite, Kingston microSD Card Reader, and SD Card Reader. Windows (XP) has no trouble recognizing it as a removable drive.

- Device Compatibility

Using a microSDHC to MS PRO Duo Adapter, I am able to use the Kingston 8GB microSD in my Sony Cybershot DSC-W170 Camera -- it works like a charm; the camera has no trouble capturing pictures and videos (at a frame frate of 30 fps and a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels). All of my devices, such as my Garmin nüvi 360 and my HP iPAQ 111, are able to recognize the full capacity of the SD card.

- microSDHC Format

microSD cards of 4GB or larger are known more specifically as microSDHC cards. This 8GB Kingston card is therefore a microSDHC card. Beware that some older devices are NOT compatible with the microSDHC format. Such devices will only work with microSD cards with capacities of 2GB (such as this Kingston 2GB microSD card) or less.

(The technical specification for the SDHC/microSDHC format supports capacities ranging from 4GB - 32 GB. microSDHC cards of 16GB, such as this Kingston 16GB microSDHC card, is the largest capacity available as of this writing.)

- Class 4 Speed

This SD card is rated class 4 (data transfer rate: 4 MByte/sec, or 32 mbps) - sufficiently fast for the majority of electronics. A decidedly small number of electronics, most notably some camcorders and high-end cameras, require a class 6 SD card (the fastest transfer rate as of this writing). Transcend makes one that's rated class 6.

- Frustration-Free Packaging

Kudos to Amazon for their Frustration-Free Packaging efforts in using only recyclable packaging materials and in keeping the amount of packaging used to a bare minimum. As a giant in the e-tailing industry, Amazon's move will no doubt serve as an impetus for getting the rest of the e-tailers to follow suit!

---

The Kingston memory card is compatible with devices that support the microSDHC format. It is a fast (class 4) memory card with plenty of storage. Definitely recommended if the specs meet your needs! Kingston 4 GB microSDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card SDC4/4GB

I didn't see any reviews for this product, so I wanted to let you know that the 8GB (7.4GB usable) works on my BlackBerry 8310.

Interestingly, although the BB showed 8GB with the new card, I only saw 4GB (3.2 or 3.4GB usable) when I first connected to my laptop and the computer asked to format the card when I enabled Mass Storage Mode (I used this mode to drag and drop into the BB). I could only see 4GB on my work computer as well.

However, after standalone reformatting the card (to FAT32) on my friends Compaq both of my computers (and phone) now properly see it as an 8GB card. My computer and phone information is below.

laptop: Win XP Pro w/ 4.2.2.12 BB Desktop Manager

work computer: BB desktop manager 4.6.0.12 with win2k pro

phone: curve 8310 with firmware: v4.2.2.170 and AT&T as provider

I'm looking forward to using the expanded storage!

I bought the Kingston 4gb micro SDHC card for my Blackberry 8830. At the current time, my particular Blackberry cannot accommodate a card larger than 4 gb, due to OS software that is not yet up to speed. The Kingston card is every bit as good as the more popular brands, with the exception of having a lower price. Be aware that using the included SD adapter is great...HOWEVER, if your laptop or desktop SD reader is not rated to read HC (high capacity) cards, then you may not be able to view the contents of the card or make changes using your computer(s). This happened to me, so I purchased a $10 USB SDHC card reader, and now I can use these higher-capacity cards in both my older laptop and desktop SD drives. Of course you can transfer data via a direct connection with your cell phone, for example, but it usually takes longer to do it that way.

Yes folks, unless you are absolutely sure about the vendor's reputation, I would say that most of the flash memory cards sold on line are fakes. This really is a huge problem since most of the buyers are unaware of this. So, what exactly is a fake? These are usually inferior graded flash memory that has been used to "upgrade" to an apparent higher capacity card with a name brand manufacturer's sticker on it. This type of counterfeiting is no different than selling bogus Rolex watches at greatly discounted prices. But the bigger and more insidious problem with bogus flash cards is that the customer is not aware of it, unlike the phony Rolex's where the buyer usually knows that they are knockoffs. The card may fail right away, or as more typically happens, they will work for a while and then fail...leaving the owner not a clue as to what went wrong. I purchased a Kingston flash card before our trip to Asia. Everything was going fine until we had snapped just over 100 photos. We were in Shanghai, right after our run through of Japan. The camera would not snap any more pictures indicating that there was a problem (I don't remember the actual message). In addition, we couldn't view any of the photos we had already taken. We thought at that moment that disaster had struck and we had lost all of our precious photos. A savvier member of our traveling group suggested that I might bring the card to photo/electronics shop, as they might still be able to retrieve the photos from the defective card. So here I am running around Shanghai trying to find the proper place to have surgery done on our flash memory card. We finally found a place, but it wasn't cheap. We paid $145 to retrieve the photos, and except for a few, we were able to salvage most. Considering what we spent for the trip overall, it was worth it. But it was also an expensive lesson. Before entrusting your photos to a flash memory card, make sure that you have purchased it from a reputable dealer. And regardless of where you might have purchased it, test the card before using it. There a number of software applications you can run from your pc to do this. I now use "h2testw" to test my flash cards after purchase and before using. It's a free download, just google to find it. You can also get more info on this problem by googleing "fake flash memory cards". I'm posting this on Amazon, because of a previous poster reviewing and reporting his discovery of the fake card he received from this vendor. This vendor is still here, and apparently still selling this memory card even after the buyer reported it to Amazon. So, let the buyer beware, and do his due diligence when buying these items. - 4gb - Kingston - 4gb Microsd - Cell Phone Memory'

Iphone Charger - ipod accessories, apple

After being burnt a number of times, on Apple accessories, I've learned to read the description carefully, especially under the used/new section.

Many sellers are selling after market knock offs advertised as "Apple replacement" "Apple OEM compatible with the following models" which they list the different models it should work with.

My advice, stay away from these products, especially since changes have been made to the Ipod and Iphone connector, dropping support for the firewire & usb models to usb only. The change made causes the earlier models, when plugged in, will usually place a message on the screen telling you it's not compatible. With others, the message may not come up, which could cause damage to your unit.

I recommend always contacting the seller to make certain it is a genuine Apple made product, and it's compatible with the later models.

With that said, the unit I received was an original Apple and works as advertised and expected. The seller did a fine job getting it to me in a reasonable time frame and at a good price. I have a number of Macs & Ipod units, and like having a cord available at each location. I also lose cables, or forget to bring one with me when I go the office, or some place where I spend a lot of time. If you have an Iphone, you know what a power hog it is, so plugging it into an available USB port any where you get the opportunity, you'll take.

Just be careful when ordering so you get the real deal. Apple Dock Connector to USB Cable - iPhone / iPod charging / data cable - Hi-Speed USB - 4 pin USB Type A (M) - Apple Dock connector

How difficult should it be to create a knockoff USB cable for an Apple product?

If you're buying this to charge an iPhone with an OtterBox case, prepare to make some, ah, modifications, shall we say. The goes-in-the-phone end is too large to fit, and the plastic sides must be (don't laugh) shaved down slightly to get by the OtterBox.

Alright, you're sitting there with a charging phone and a small pile of white plastic shavings on your desk. All well and good.

If you're me, however, you only have about 4-6 weeks before the cord pulls out of the charging end.

What a piece. Of. Yonk.

By gosh, I demand a cheap, quality knockoff so I don't have to send Steve Jobs $40 for a stinking 35 cent USB cord! Now appease me, shady Taiwanese plastics company! NOW!

The item shipped was not the item pictured. The item shipped is a cheap knockoff. It has a chintzy locking tab (OEM has no tab) that would not release and I had to rip the cord out of my phone to get it out. Buyer beware.

Well, I knew what I was getting into when I bought this cable. I obviously was not expecting top notch quality for the price I paid. Let's just say, the cord worked fine for 3 days. The end piece that connects to the iPhone completely tore off, exposing the wire underneath. Needless to say, I had to throw it away.

Pros:

It charges my 2nd generation ipod touch (running 3.0)

It syncs video, music and applications.

Cons:

I question the authenticity of this.

It did not come in the official apple box.(attached picture)

It didn't come with the official apple papers.

The official cord is always suppose to says "Designed by apple in California Assembled in China" on the usb side, but on the one I got, it said that on the dock connector side.(attached picture)

The dock connector side has and awkward fit, and it didn't fit perfectly. (attached picture)

Overall, it does it's job. I'm still unsure if it's official or not.

If it's unofficial, I would have bought the 54cent one instead.

I expected cheap cables so I bought 5. In the month since I received them, 3 have broken in one way or another. I will have to open the 4th tonight. The case which houses the iphone connector falls apart at the slightest hint of wind. The cables inside detach easily.

They do work with my iphone 3g, so the function is great as a backup, but I need these to last much longer to be considered worth it. - Apple - Ipod Accessories - Ipod Charger - Iphone Cable'

Hyperpigmentati - acne, hyperpigmentati

Well, I got what I wanted from this product, but I'm not sure that its description would have lead me to believe that was what I would get. Buyer beware, this is not a light, tingley, toner type treatment! It's an intense acid peel that seemed to target my "problem" areas very effectively. I applied the solution all over and as directed, it burned like some of the acid peel treatments I'd had before and the problem areas where I had tough or thickened skin turned white. I applied moisturizer as directed, which helped with the burning, and went to bed. In the morning those areas had darkened considerably (not very attractive) and were all shriveled and wrinkled looking. These areas were a bit tender to the touch, but nothing horrible. By the next day there was a bit of cracking and lifting of this thick wrinkly skin. I was careful not to peel these and over the next day or so, gently removed the skin that seemed to come off easily, leaving the skin that didn't. By the third day most of the larger dark areas had come off and by the fourth day pretty much all of it was off, revealing lovely fresh skin underneath. Over the next week or two there was additional slight peeling, but nothing that some good moisturizer couldn't fix. Overall I was stoked with the results, but quite surprised by the intensity of this treatment at full strength. It hasn't helped much with the acne issues so far, but did seem to make any areas with blackheads look much better. The next time I use it, I will cut it with the alcohol that the directions suggested as an option. Probably by one half or maybe less, but certainly won't use it full strength again unless I have 3-4 days to be out of the public eye. Of course next time I use it, there will be much less bad skin to remove, so maybe the reaction won't be as severe. As I said, I used it all over my face and the intense peeling only seemed to happen on my nose and chin where the most blackheads and thickened skin were... Overall, I'm thrilled with this product, I just think the labeling and description was a bit benign for such a strong treatment. Acne Treatment with Salicylic and Lactic Acid. Great for body and bikini line also!

I bought this product to help with the chest acne that i get (yuck!) and yes I am a women. I too thought that it would be just a toner/astringent ...wow.. was i surprised. After my shower, I swabbed some thru my chest area and boy did it "burn". My heart started to beat so fast..I couldn't even lay down to sleep, then i took a cold towel and just wiped the area. The next morning my chest area was very dark brown(yuck) it looked worse than when I started. This product seems to act as a peel rather than a toner/astringent. It is now day 3 and that area skin is still dark, tight and shiny. I am now applying organic natural cocoa butter to the area twice a day. Hopefully it will BE o.k.

Will update.

I just washed the area and i can see some skin peeling however, the area is still very dark. I emailed the seller through amazon requesting a refund. This product works like a PEEL, and it WILL cause your skin to turn dark and peel, but your skin will stay dark. no where in the product information does the seller indicate that this product would peel your skin. PLEASE BEWARE THIS WILL ACT LIKE A PEEL ON YOUR SKIN...BUYER BEWARE.

This stuff is better than any astringent I've ever been able to find in the drugstore. Get ready for it to burn, though. If you can't handle it for long periods of time, try using a Q-tip to apply it only on the actual zits.

This definitely isn't your regular toner. It burns. But it works. It seems almost like a very mild peel. Used along with a bi-weekly alpha-beta peel, it's done wonders for my oily, cystic acne-prone skin.

I was very tired of shaving and razors so I wanted to try something different; a hair removal cream. It left me with red, bumpy underarms which turned really really dark after a while {I'm dark-skinned}. It was so embarrassing to think a product would burn that badly and leave such a disgusting sight. I was very skeptical when I bought this, so I applied a lot on my cotton ball and scrubbed really hard under my armpits. Boy was that a wrong move. It stung like hell my whole face was red! But two days later, the bumps dried up, and left some dark spots which peeled off after 2 more uses. After building tolerance to this stuff I use it three times a week now to exfoliate my underarms {deodorants aren't my best friends}. I haven't built enough confidence to use this on my entire face, so I only apply to spots haha! - Hyperpigmentati - Scars - Acne'
