Blackberry Storm Battery - blackberry, blackberry accessories

i recieved the product in a timely manner. although when i put the battery in my phone it would not accept a charge. After trying to charge the battery for two days with no luck i gave up. ive tried to contact the company and have got no response back. I would advise any one not to buy lthis battery. BlackBerry DX-1 Original Li-Ion Battery for BlackBerry Curve 8900, Tour 9630, Storm 9500 9530 and Storm2 9550

There's a reason why these OEM batteries are so cheap, it's because they've all come from phones that have had some kind of moisture damage and the RED line indicator on the side of the battery is activated. My original OEM battery out of the box is all white, indicating no moisture exposure. Am yet to see how this affects battery life.

I was looking forward to receiving those batteries since the original one in my BB wouldn't last a full day.

I finally received them but my BB Storm 9530 constantly reboots when I put when of those batteries in.

I don't know if there's a compatibility issue or if I got faulty ones but I wouldn't recommand those to anyone...

Item did not arrive after being ordered but contacted seller and got it a few days later. Works as good as the batter that came with the phone and only cost a few dollars (opposed to the $50+ the Verizon store had them priced at)

Update after 6 months of use - battery does not hold a charge well any longer. Still rather pay a couple of dollars every 6 months than $50 for a better battery.

I bought one of these very low priced batteries becauses my year-old battery was not holding a charge for a full day. The battery arrived in a plastic bag, with no way to verify that it was new. I have used it for a couple of days, and it discharges even faster than my original battery.

I received this item about 2 weeks ago and started using it then as my primary battery. I now use my original battery as a backup. Seems like this battery is every bit as good as my original one that came with the phone from Verizon. Charges well, holds a charge well, at least as well as can be expected with a Storm2. :D It appears to be an OEM original, and to one question I saw on another website, it says Made in Japan on it vs. China. I think it is the real deal. - Blackberry - Battery - Blackberry Accessories - Cell Phone Battery'

Notebook Stand - mstand, laptop stand

I purchased this for use with a MacBook Pro 15". I totally agree that the stand is of very high quality and beautifully designed.

Unfortunately, I haven't found the product useful because the "slope" of the mStand is quite steep and the lid of the MacBook Pro cannot be pushed back very far. Sitting at my desk, I would need to open the laptop a bit further to get the screen angle just right, but I cannot push the MBP screen back any further, unfortunately, and the mStand's angle is fixed, so...

This product would be very good with a laptop where you can push the screen open to a fairly wide angle or where the balance of screen angle, mStand angle, chair-desk-your height are all perfectly aligned. Otherwise, the mStand won't work so well "out of the box" and you might need to "help" it by placing things under it to play with the height further, thereby distracting from the "clean" design.

Yes, the latch of the MBP is covered by the "lip" of the mStand, so you'd have to lift the laptop off the stand to open the computer or just leave it permanently open or not quite fully closed. Having said this, the optical drive is completely accessible when using this stand, not covered by the lip at all. mStand Laptop Stand By Rain Design

I saw many of the reviews who had used this with a 15" laptop, and wondered how well it would work with my 17" MBP. I don't know anyone that owns one, so I was a little uncertain. No worries - it works PERFECTLY! See the image I loaded that shows it in use, along with a 22" Gateway monitor, and a 24" HP monitor that complete my workstation.

The design leaves room underneath the unit, which is great for extra storage, or sliding a keyboard under (although it's not quite high enough if you tried to type under it). Solid construction that should last, quite simply, forever. The unit positions the laptop's screen to a height that works perfectly with my other external monitors.

Interestingly enough, the packaging it came in even reminded me of how Apple would have packaged it. It's a wonderful product that fills an obvious need, and is one of those "why didn't I think of that" items. Simple design, beautiful, and very functional.

There's not much to say that hasn't been said before. This is an excellent product that keeps my MacBook Pro nice and cool. There is indeed a notch cut out now toward the bottom so you can now open and close the lid without lifting the laptop out of the holder.

Well worth the money, and probably the best MBP stand out there. Lowered my idle temperatures about 6 degrees over the Logitech Alto Express stand. Boy did my MBP get warm sitting on that puppy, plus you couldn't eject discs while using it. Wish I hadn't wasted the money... You live and learn!

Bottom line: Buy the Mstand. It's superb.

I have been happy with this stand. Some of the pros:

* attractive

* even though it's not adjustable, it seems to be at about the right height

* sturdy

Only one con:

* This stand is advertised as acting as a heat sink. It does seem to keep the laptop cooler than sitting on the desk, but it does not in any way act as a heat sink. The laptop is separated from the stand by rubber pads and there is no metal-to-metal contact, so heat transfer from the laptop chassis to the stand is almost non-existent.

It truly looks like it was made for my macbook pro, beautiful design. I like the angle just fine and it is so much better than a flat stand.

They just fell short in a few, important, areas.

- The hole in the back, the one used for cord maintenance, isn't wide enough for my DVI monitor cable.

- While there is now a cutout for the lid release, and it works...it should be wider and lower so I don't have to wiggle my finger in there to open it.

So it looks hot...but functionality wise they just missed a few key points. Rain, if you're listening...use your products before you put them to market.

The MacBook Pro (today's laptops in general) generates a lot of heat. Heat is bad for computers and decreases performance and shortens the lifespan of internal components, so cooling is an important consideration. This stand is all aluminum, so it essentially acts as a giant heat sink for the MacBook. The aluminum skin of the MacBook conducts heat to the stand, and the stand dissipates it into the air.

It raises the screen closer to eye level for comfort and correct posture. Ideally, you should have an external keyboard and mouse hooked up also, since using the laptop's keyboard while it's elevated increases strain on your shoulders. Elevating the laptop also allows air to flow under the unit. Before this, I sometimes raised my Mac on top of some paperbacks.

I now have 2 of these: one for home and one for the office. $50 may seem a bit pricey, but i think it's worth it. It's one solid piece of aluminum and durable. One little annoyance is the design of the front protrusion. The notch is not wide enough for my preferences (only the width of 1 finger) and requires a bit of attention to open the MB.

the picture on Amazon does not show the notch.

Just got it today and what a beautiful stand. It made my 15 inch MacBook Pro looks so stunning. It gives it a floating look that is very modern. Looks like it was designed by Apple because the color matched perfectly with MBP. Even the box that it came in was high quality. I am very happy with the height.

I would give it 5 stars but gave 4 because you can't get to the push button to open your MBP. I am leaving the lid open. Maybe this is a good thing because open and close the lid every day could weaken the slots :)

Very happy and very very nice looking. It gives my MBP an even more WOW factor.

Isn't it nice to order a product, receive it, really like it, and not have to send it back. I'm pretty picky, but the Mstand exceeded my expectations. Not only does it look as if it was designed exclusively for the Macbook Pro, it is very functional as well. Accessing the DVD drive slot and release latch are no problem. My biggest fear was that the angle of the stand was such that even with the screen fully opened, it would be less than vertical, but this is not a problem. Trust me, I looked at more than a dozen different stands before settling on the Mstand, and I am absolutely satisfied. Ignore the gripes for other reviews - if the Mstand doesn't do it for you, then I don't know what will. - Mstand - Apple - Notebook Stand - Laptop Stand'

Pen Refills - gel pen, pens

Superlative ink. Somehow, though, it manages to be the same price or even slightly more expensive than a pair of new pens. It would be a responsible choice on the manufacturer's part to pass along some of the cost savings associated with reduced materials to the consumer, not only as an incentive to make a less ecologically harmful decision, but also as a reward to the product loyalty inherent in buying refills for a disposable pen.

You could write it off as being stingy but I think they would sell a lot more of these if they were a nickel less expensive than the pens for which they are intended. Then everyone can feel good about reducing waste. Until then, I'll keep putting India ink in my Rapidograph. Pilot G2 Gel Ink Refill, 2-Pack for Rolling Ball Pens, Extra Fine Point, Black Ink (77232)

The G2 makes writing easy on the hand, but it tends to burn through ink very quickly. These refills let you get some more life out of the pens instead of just throwing them away. My original pens had 0.7 mm cartridges, but these 0.5 mm fit just as well.

This ink and the 0.38 are the only gel ink I'll ever use as a refill. It writes light and thin which makes whatever I'm writing smooth and neat. I just wish 0.5 and 0.38 were more readily available in stores instead of having to order online. Great ink and great pen that accompanies it

I absolutely love theses pens and the refills. I have an impossible time finding the refills for this size anywhere other than online! A must for College students or anyone in the medical profession, like I am!

It was maddening when the refills cost as much as a new pen. I figure with Subscribe and Save or at Costco you can get each pen for about $1. So it made no economic sense to pay $2 for one refill. I hated throwing away reusable pens. So I'm really glad that Amazon finally has them at around 0.70. Unfortunately, I had tossed all my pens as I couldn't find reasonable refills, but now I can stock up. These really are the best pens: comfortable, easy to write with, mostly non-smearing on regular paper. (It will smear on glossy paper before it dries.) - Pens - G2 - Gel Pen'

Screwdrivers

Not a bad cheapo set, except that on some kits the driver shafts are a little crooked.

For a cheapo set, that's okay, they still work fine. But I found identical set but branded different at a local store for even less, and was able to find a straighter set.

So I returned mine, but I'm still good. Maxtech 16513MX 14 Piece Precision Screwdriver Set with Tweezers

I was very happy with the fact that I got this set of screwdrivers quickly. I think the quality could be a bit better even though they are a lower priced item. When I received them they were delivered in a soft sided envelope. Every last shaft on the screwdrivers is slightly bent or simply not straight. I am not sure if this was from the manufacturing or shipping in the soft package. I use them every day and really depend on my tools. I believe I will spend a bit more money for higher quality tools next time. Final word "They will work but not the best quality".'

Mens Accessories - digital watch, armitron

This is a surprisingly attractive watch for the price. Functions are useful with a good stopwatch and reasonable timer plus alarm, although I really only needed it for the dual time. It is light, slim, stylish and easy to read for the most part. Sometimes in daylight you have to angle your arm a little. Well, that's no biggie. My only issue is the beeping sound when you change functions - there doesn't appear to be any way to turn that off!! My watch didn't come with any instructions but it was very easy to figure out - except for that annoying beeping!

Still, if you are in the market for an inexpensive, snazzy looking watch, this is a good buy. Armitron Men's 408177RED Chronograph Black and Red Digital Sport Watch

I like Armitrons because they're cool and inexpensive. I've gotten about 10 complements on the design of this watch in about 2 weeks of wearing it. The buttons are easy to use, but the countdown timer is a pain. It doesn't reset itself to zero so you have to scroll thru all the numbers to reset it. That's the only annoying thing. I like the wristband too. I like that it's a thin watch. It doesn't get caught in your dress shirt sleeves if you wear long sleeve dress shirts.

While I normally rely upon my cellphone for the time, I decided before leaving the country that I needed something a bit more trustworthy while skipping across multiple time zones. I didn't want something fancy enough to have to worry about being stolen, nor was I looking to show off or 'flaunt' any type of wealth. My priorities: comfort, simplicity and performance.

Check. Check. Check. The square design gives off a nice, classy look, while so far it is the most comfortable wristband of any watch I've ever owned. It is easy to read and adjust the time, with the normal package of a functioning alarm and stopwatch. I am completely satisfied.

I'm not giving this five stars because it is the best watch out there, nor do I think it is an amazing value. But this was exactly what I wanted when I began looking for watches, and that's the only qualification I use when rating.

This watch looks nice, but every time i hit the light button, it resets everything to factory defaults and screws up the time. I've also noticed that if you hold down the light button, it has the same function as the "set" button, giving you options to set time. Really crappy programming. Don't waste your money on this junk.

Got lots of complements on my new watch. It looks good. a little hard to read, but still usable. The problem i have is that I have had to reset the time and date 3 times in the month since i bought it. That is a deal breaker... Nice bracelet, Crappy watch

I really wanted to like this watch. It has a good modern design. I wanted something with the reverse led display. But when I received it, I found the display is too dim. Also found there's no way to reset the timer to zero. Also when I pressed the EL (light) button a couple times, it reset the time back to factory defaults. Others have reported the time resetting on them, so I don't want to risk this happening over and over again. Returning it.

I had purchased this watch for my teenage son for Christmas 2010. It is a nice looking watch but the watch would reset the time and date after a bit. It would reset both on its own and if you hit the buttons to set the alarm etc. We exchanged it for another figuring it could just be the one that was faulty and the same thing happended. We ended up just returning it. I don't recommend this watch.

I love this watch. It's classy, functional, has a great look and feel to it and many useful functions for everyday use.

I have gotten quite a few compliments wearing this watch.

I really love the design for the strap because it doesn't get sticky or smelly or slippery when I get sweaty.

Furthermore, the functions are easy to program and use.

Also, the watch is very sturdy, doesn't scratch easily and the water resistance works well (at least in the shower.

Definitely worth the money. - Digital - Armitron - Digital Watch - Mens Watch'

Car Charger - adapter, boys

This review is to help with this Adapter if you can't find it. I went to Radio Shack and they sell a 9V/300mA AC-to-DC Power Adapter. It's $14.00. It comes with 1 adaptaplug. Size O and size N will both seem to fit in the V-Smile, but only size N really fits. [...] It is Catalog # 273-1767. It works fine for the V-Smile. Good Luck to all and of course you can use the adapter for other V-tech products. Just bring it to radioshack and you can try all the various plugs to see which one you need. Vtech - V.Smile Adapter

If this adaptor is out of stock, or if you don't want to pay $10-$12, here are the specs that will let you find a generic or universal adaptor that will work:

This adaptor is 9 volts, 300 mAh, with a 5.5mm x 2.5mm adaptor with positive polarity (the center pole is positive).

If you shop around, you should be able to find a universal adaptor for as little as $7, or generic adaptors for under $5.

I have purchased 2 adapters and both of them quit working after just a few weeks. The toy runs well off batteries, and they actually last a while. I would invest your money in batteries instead of this adapter.

We bought the V-Smile adapter for the 2 v-smile products that we have and were quite let down by it's quality. The first one quit working after a few days and we exchanged it for a new one only to have IT stop working after 2 weeks. I might add that it was well taken care of and never handled by our children. The third time around we bought a Coby CA-969 300ma Universal Adaptor (at a much nicer price of $3.00 @ Amazon) and have been really happy with it. We also use it for other things as it is Universal and comes with a bunch of adaptors. Bottom line: Save your $10.00 and go for a cheaper universal adaptor.

I bought this adapter to save myself from having to buy C batteries to keep my kids v.smile going. I wish I had just stuck with the batteries, they really do last for quite a while. This adapter doesn't seem to fit snugly enough into the v.smile system. My daughter is constantly coming to tell me her v.smile won't turn on. The solution? Jiggling the adapter into the back of the v.smile. For 9.99 I shouldn't have to jiggle the plug every 10 mintues!

I bought this for my kids last year (2005) for Christmas. Within 6 months of gentle use (my kids are not very rough on toys), it no longer worked at all. I do not recommend this product--just get batteries instead.

I bought a universal adaptor at a "big box" electronics store at the same time I bought the V Smile game unit. The information is on the V Smile box and the game unit itself so you know which plug size to use. We've had both the adaptor and game unit for a year now with no problems at all, and my kids play it a LOT. I highly recommend an adaptor over the batteries -- if your kids like to play this, they will burn through batteries VERY fast! - Boys - Adapter - Charger - Kids'

Portable Grills - weber, charcoal grills

My first "Go-Anywhere Weber Grill," purchased in 1984, sold me on design and efficiency. After cooking my dinner, I'd shut the side and top air vents thus suffocating the fire. I found I could get two, three, and sometimes four meals from a single load of charcoal (depending on cooking times). And, on picnics, the fire would be out and the grill "touchable" after about 15 minutes. The grill is large enough to handle most meals for say 6 to 8 persons and even small (4-6 lb) chickens, but if you're cooking turkey, this isn't the grill for you. I'm now on my second "G-A" grill, as the first bounced around the world with me in Korea, Yemen, China, and the U.S. until the movers crushed it in 1993. Ended up contacting Weber directly when I couldn't find a replacement locally, and number 2 is in good shape after 8 years of rigorous use. Weber 121020 Go-Anywhere Charcoal Grill

Hi there, I've just recently purchased this grill and have used it 2 times already. I can honestly say that this grill has exceeded my expectations! It is well built, and folds up very compactly for storage. It (like all Weber products) cooks very evenly, and refuses to flare up. The air dampers are easy to operate, and the porcelin coating will ensure many years of use. You will also be suprised at how much food you can cook on it. (I have 5 kids, and the grill is still hot when we've eaten our full) We enjoy it, and I'm sure you will too!

This is a well-designed small scale charcoal grill. I generally use it when I only want to cook for one or two people or when portability matters.

I've had my Go-Anywhere charcoal grill for about three years, and it has held up extremely well. The durable exterior coating is very resistent to the elements (and it's small enough that you could easily let it cool down and chuck it into a closet if you want to keep it indoors). The only thing that has really shown any significant wear is the grill grate, but these are easily replacable (and, in the long run, all grates give out eventually).

The grill has four air vents (two top mounted exhaust vents, and two vents mounted along the bottom sides). Opening all four vents allows enough oxygen flow for medium temperature cooking. Closing all four vents will suffocate a fire pretty quickly. Cooking with the lid off and the bottom vents open will net you a hot fire that will be great for searing.

Additionally, the lid can be "rockered" back onto the body of the grill. This means that you don't have to look around for someplace to put a potentially very hot piece of metal *and* you can use it as a windshield if you want.

If you like charcoal cooking and you either want a small grill or you need a portable grill, I would highly recommend this product.

My grate just died after about 10 years of heavy use. Rather then buy a replacement grate, I wasn't thinking and just purchased a whole new portable grill. The next day I purchased a replacement grate online from the weber folks and that transaction was very smooth as has always been the case with Amazon. So now I have two functioning portable grills. It seems to me that the food sits closer to the charcoal on this then it does full sized grills, so heat has never been an issue with mine, although the charcoal may loose it's heat a little faster as you can't really make a pile of charcoal or stack the brickets very much. I actually think it is easier to burn things on this grill then others, and learning how to use the vents to control heat is something you will need to do. Honestly though, this is the only grill I have any real experience with and I love the portability and often wrap it in a trash bag and take it to state parks for 'eating out'.

My only complaint is they have changed the handles to plastic on the new models which now require mits to handle during the process. The old model had wood handles and I never needed a mit to take the cover off and check my food.

First of all, despite some comments here that would lead you to believe otherwise, this is NOT a gas grill. The dead giveaway is the word "charcoal" in the product title.Even though this is designed to be a travel grill (with folding legs that secure the cover in place), I use it as my primary grill. I like to grill at all times of the year so I leave it on the patio all year round and sometimes have to dig through a snowdrift to find it. I'm surprised it hasn't rusted out yet since it has been sitting outside for more than five years. The wood parts are weathered, but still no sign of metal corrosion. When this one eventually goes I'll probably get small round Weber since I really don't need the travel feature.

We have moved into a new house and will probably buy a gas grill next year. For this summer I though it would be good to have a small grill. I chose the go-anywhere grill because I always liked weber products. This grill is great.First, it's great to use real charcoal. It absolutely tastes better. And the grill uses a lot less coal then you would think. It's easy and fast to light the coal - and cooks just great.Even after I buy a new grill, I'm sure I'll keep using this grill for fish and other things - just for the taste.

We use it for a small tailgate (we have other grills for larger tailgate parties) party serving three people. It is not big enough to serve more people. After several uses we learned that we had to use more charcoal, and once we made the change and increased the amount of charcoal (almost to the top)the grill was able to cook a second round of food. Packs up very easily, sets up very easily, and puts together very easily. Can cook 2 steaks and a few franks OR 6 hamburgers at one time.

I bought this grill for a camping trip and now I use it all the time. I've taken it to concerts and sporting events and sometimes use it instead of our large gas grill. It was a little more expensive than some really cheap charcoal grills, but a much better value. I was consdiering the Weber gas- Go Anywhere grill, but like the idea of cooking on charcoal better. I've heard that they rust pretty easily, but we haven't noticed any rust yet. We don't keep it outside in the weather, but we don't baby it either. - Portable Grills - Weber - Charcoal - Charcoal Grills'
