Long Battery Life - acer, best netbook

This is a poorly designed shell case. The top piece fits ok, but will slightly reduce the amount you can open the lid. The bottom is horrendous, it is not properly molded to the shape of the 8.9 Aspire One. So it barely clings to the bottom and leaves enormous gaps between the shell and the acer body. If you have anything above a 3 cell battery, stay away. Their site claims that you can fit it on with "10 second modification with a pair of scissors". More like a dremmel and an hour later, in which you will have to hack off the feet of the shell to fit it around the battery. Even then it barely stays on and frequently the clasps that hook onto the body will pop off if. In short...DO NOT BUY. mCover® BLACK Hard Shell Case for Acer Aspire One 8.9" Netbook - Compatible with 3/6/9-cell battery

I would have given 5 stars, but I can't seem to get the 9 cell and the case to work. Works perfectly for my 3 and 6 cell batteries. Like the idea I can change colors of my ACER as I choose with these covers. The elevated legs assist in cooling the unit as well. nice job! Now if i could just figure out the 9 cell!! - Acer - Best Netbook - Windows 7 - Netbook'

Mitsubishi Hc4000 Hc4000 - Dlp Projector - Desktop - 1300 Ansi Lumen - 1920 X 1080 - 16:9

A great projector or rather has a potential to be one.

First the good: very sharp picture, good black levels thanks to DLP dark chip 3.

Bright enough for large screen 120" even with lights ON. Audible noise acceptable in low lamp mode. Easy to install thanks to long zoom range and keystone correction. My projector is attached to 7 1/2 ft ceiling and from 16 ft generates perfectly rectangular image on 120" screen.

Now the bad: this projector has problem with image uniformity which makes the picture darker on one side. Also there is a significant light leakage from the vents and around the lens.

And the ugly: My projector suffers from lens internal light leakage which creates an halo or a ring of light about 3 ft outside the screen. This can be seen on the wall when the scene turns dark and you are in a dark room. This problem is very distracting since the ring appears and disappears as the scene changes.

And a word of advice to everybody: Be sure to check the SELLER RETURN POLICY (including exceptions!) before you waste your hard earned money. I failed to do it and for now I am stuck with a great but defective projector waiting for Amazon to bail me out since the SELLER refused any assistance even though the manufacturer (who provided great technical support) issued an exchange case number. Note, Amazon is NOT the seller.

So let the buyer beware! Mitsubishi HC4000 300-Inches 1080p Front Projector - Black

-I Upgraded from 720p ,HC4000 has extremely noticeable higher resolution- did test a few other 1080p projectors in $900 -$1500 price range all paled in comparison to PQ of HC4000---Has Pretty straight forward menu, easy install ,light weight -black unit color was an important feature for me to blend with black ceiling, there is small amount of light leakage from top of unit which would reflect on floor if turned for ceiling install but not a huge deal with bigger screen ,I am using 110" reflective . Fan noise is audible in silent movie scene if near unit but otherwise the value of a bulb lasting for 4000 -5000 hours and a breath taking picture is worth any minor flaw. Find it under $1499 - Buy and enjoy you wont regret!!

I honestly don't think there is a better projector for the price. The HC4000 has received high marks from many projector websites and even the Hot Product Reward on projectorreviews.com

Just check out [...] for a very in depth review.

I went from a 720p Sharp projector to this 1080p Mitsubishi and it's such an improvement I couldn't even believe it. I'll add more photos and possibly a video in time.

Get this projector, you won't regret it !

Received and installed this last night in media room with a ceiling mount. Easy setup. Great picture compared to my old Runco 720p projector. I am using low lamp power for extended lamp life, and the brightness and colors are still very good.

This projector is half the size and weight of my old Runco projector, and half the noise. Very quiet. I was a little concerned about the 32dB level in the specs, but it hardly noticeable.

The only thing I did not like is the peculiar triangular mounting pattern. I modified my old projector mount with a few pieces of sheet metal instead of buying the extra mount.

I am an independent filmmaker. I may see things that a casual viewer may not see, and they bug me. I had a Samsung FTP5084 Plasma HDTV for like three years. And while I loved it and it outshone everything we've all grown up with, one thing that always bugged me were these horizontal lines that would go throughout the picture when there were any high contrast horizontal visual pieces. Not to mention everyone's experience with jaggies, noise, and all manner of artifacts.

This projector, as I had always hoped digital projectors would, has completely decimated the competition of screen televisions. I have longed since childhood for a humongous television, the size of my wall. And now I have it!!! (I think the projection width of the image is between six and eight feet)

And the clarity and definition of its image... oh my God! It's utterly beautiful. In every sense of the word.

I will never buy another screen television; I'm sticking with projectors from now on.

I usually like to mention when there are any problems with an item or any type of concerns; but really, I have not found one with this projector. The fan is one of the quietest I've ever encountered, the zoom allows short throw distances and accommodates longer ones, the brightness is great even with the lights in the room turned on, the start up and turn off time is quick, the remote is very responsive from everywhere in the room...

Oh. There is one thing; not being able to affect the focus by the remote was a little bit of a hassle after I had it ceiling mounted. But I find it to be less troublesome once it's keyed in, as you never have to worry about accidentally messing up the focus by the remote.

I extremely highly recommend this projector to anyone looking for high def projection.

I received my Mitsubishi HC4000 last week from Amazon and after watching Monday Night Football with some of my co-workers last night, I feel like I should put up a little review. Like most people, I did do some Internet research to find out if buying a projector was a good idea for me. Initially, I was planning on buying a fairly large LCD or plasma TV around 55" to 60" screen size. Then, I started day-dreaming about what it would be like to have a HUGE screen to watch movies, sports, and play games on. I did a quick Google search for "projector reviews" and found 2 good websites (projectorreviews.com and projectorcentral.com) that had lots of good information about projectors. I quickly found out that projector price and technology had improved considerably over the last 5 to 10 years. I quickly narrowed down my choices to 2 projectors in the price range I was willing to spend ($1K to 1.5K), the Epson 8350 and the Mitsubishi HC4000 based off the reviews from the 2 websites I listed above. Both sites commented that the Mits HC4000 had the best picture quality for the price, even though the Epson was close. The biggest advantage the Epson has is lens shift, which, allows for much more flexible placement of the projector. I didn't need to mount my projector in a corner or some other odd place in my room so, I felt that picture quality and sharpness were the most important factors in my decision to go with the Mits HC4000. Right out of the box, I hooked up the projector to my media player via HDMI and put on a 1080p MKV movie file and shined it up on the wall and WOW! The sharpness and color were indeed as impressive as the review websites had mentioned. I also used the advice from an article on projectorcentral to paint my wall with a specific can of white paint made by Sherwin Williams to get a DIY screen for dirt cheap and it does look great.

It was a leap of faith for me to buy something that normally I would have to see in person to make a decision on purchasing but, I am glad I did it and I'm looking forward to many more nights of movies, sports, and games!!! - 3d Ready - Home Theater - Electronics - 1080p'

Corporate Gift - holiday, gift basket

Bought this for my sister and her family for Christmas and they loved it. My sister loved the chocolate bing covered cherries (said they were the best ever) and my brother in law loved the biscotti. They were giving word by word detail as they tasted everything. Also said it was beautifully packaged. They were very happy with it which says a lot as they are not easy to please. (Ha Ha) Broadway Basketeers Ultimate Gourmet Father's Day Gift Tower

Sounded & looked good when I went online to order and with the message that this will be delivered as a part of Amazon Prime 2 day shipping. Guess what, it took that 7 days to send and deliver the product based on the tracking information available. Very disappointed - given that I missed the event this gift-box was meant for & the person who I sent it to went out on a vacation.

So don't even know if this was ever delivered :(

I bought this tower as a Christmas present and was extremely disappointed at what was provided vs. the high price of the gift tower. I found similar items at half the cost. Please be vigilant before purchasing and shop around. This tower was 40% higher than similar products at other places. Wish I had done the research before purchasing. Astronomy - laser pointer, laser

Listing claimed MPO brand, model SD5 and 90 day warranty with Blue Microfiber optical cloth. I checked MPO's website before ordering and read the claim that this model had a Japan made laser that was superior to the Chinese models.

What I received was a generic model with 30 day warranty and a Beige cloth. Because of the high number of the negative reviews on these green laser pointers, I decided to test it before the 30 day warranty ran out. I turned it on about 30-40 minutes a day for a number of times from a few seconds to a few minutes. It was excellent initially, but after a few days it got dimmer and dimmer. Replaced the batteries with good fresh ones and tried it again. This time it went downhill even faster and finally it was completely dead. After that, I checked the batteries with a voltmeter. They were completely drained after only a couple of hours of operation, maybe indicating an internal short.

I contacted HDE and received a polite e-mail saying that all of these lasers were actually made by the same manufacturer and there was no such thing as MPO or HDE brand. Also received a bunch of instructions to try out, none of which worked. Then I asked why this particular listing specifically gave a model number and claimed 90 day warranty. I didn't get an answer to those questions.

A quick search of Amazon revealed that the same item was listed about a dozen times, 5 of them by HDE. If they are all the same item, why bother to list it multiple times?

Finally, HDE gave me an option of returning or replacing the pointer AT MY OWN COST. This is how it works with them. According to the disclaimer, under no conditions, HDE is responsible for shipping charges. That means even if they send you a defective product right out of box, YOU are responsible for shipping charges. I elected to return it (by wasting $6 during the process) since I wasn't sure the second one would work based on the others' reviews accross all those dozen listings.

The lesson from this experience: Only order the items with FREE shipping. SD5 Silver Dimple 5mw Green Laser Pointer

I was skeptical of reviews and the description of this and similar laser pointers. I thought the claims of being really bright, too bright for a presentation laser pointer were just marketing hype. But it's true! This is a BRIGHT unit. With a bit of effort, I could actually see the beam in the sky from my front porch, in town, with a 100 watt halogen porch light glowing directly over my head and two more 100 watt halogen lights nearby. In a darkened area suitable for astronomy this is going to be awesome.

I tried it inside on surfaces approximating the reflectivity of projection screens and office walls where people aim projectors. Long story short: it's too bright for use as a presentation pointer, just like others have said.

One small quirk, perfectly harmless. The batteries go in "backwards" from usual convention...negative side upwards. No biggie, but since it doesn't say anywhere on the pointer or on its instructions which way the batteries go, I can see someone putting them in "the right way" and deciding their pointer is defective.

In summary, a good outdoor pointer, well worth a mere $18. It really blows away my last laser pointer, a top of the line $100 unit from the 1990's.

I ordered this laser for my son who's teaching Astronomy to scouts at a Boy Scout camp in the Oregon Cascades & had it sent directly there. He emailed me today that it "works amazingly" and he's VERY happy with it (and he's hard to please.... 16 yrs old and PICKY).

I'm so impressed with the quality and function of this device, I'm getting another one for the car. They are great for signaling and back-woods emergency uses if one gets into trouble. Liked the little extra flashlight and lens cloth - good value!

It took less than a week for my 5 star to go to 1. The exact thing happened with this as the other one star review. I used to have a $100 5mw laser that worked fantastic for over a year before it fizzled out (beam gets weak, eratic and scattered, and is of no use whatsoever). But, it only took this one about a week, or 15 minutes of actual use. It's not the batteries, it was never dropped, it is just low quality. This KILLS me, because when I first got it, I thought I was ready to order more for two family members. Plus I really wanted this thing to work like it did the first 10 minutes I used it. I could care less about the microfiber cloth and led light that didn't come as described, but some of you might.

I bought this laser pointer on January 11, 2010. It worked great up until about May 2010. The problem is not the beam, as it is very easy to see in a lecture hall. The problem is the button that one needs to press to get the green laser to shine. By May this button became very loose on my unit to the point where the laser comes on even with the slightest touch. If you hold this in your hand you will find the laser light coming out at times when you really don't want it. My unit is so sensitive that I basically don't feel comfortable using it in a lecture or presentation where other people are around (including me). Note that when I first got this pointer the button had a very definite and secure feel and there was no need to worry about accidentally engaging the laser.

The pros of this pointer are:

1) Very bright and easy to see beam.

2) The body seems well constructed.

The cons of this pointer are:

1) Apparently the button wears out with typical usage over a several months

2) It doesn't like certain types of rechargeable batteries (I had problems with some brands)

My search continues for a decent laser pointer.

I use it for professional presentations (and my dog also loves to chase it around the house).

This pointer is pretty bright. From my office, I can easily shine it on buildings at least a block away, during the day time. This is a great thing, because the pointer I had used previously had an anemic, red spot that was hard to see from the back of the room. The green light looks great and shows up well.

Another advantage is that it has a simple design, with just one button. This means I can hand it off to any visiting presenter to use and not worry about explaining what all the buttons do, then inevitably have the presenter confuse the slide advance/pointer buttons.

Finally, this thing takes AAA batteries and the case it comes with has space for any extra two back-up batteries, so you don't have to worry about the batteries dying on you while on the road, etc. and struggling to find watch batteries for it. - Laser - Green - Laser Pointer - Astronomy'

Tall Length - adidas, track pants

I have been using adidas for a long time, and this product is not up to the adidas quality.

The fabric lacks quality and after 3 machine washes, the pants look very old. Not impressive. I will not buy this product again. I have used adidas for a really long time and every product of theirs has been very machine friendly, but not this.

I just ordered adidas men's rEvolution III [http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KL3FEC?ie=UTF8&tag=aisn-20&creativeASIN=B000KL3FEC] for almost the same price and that feels like adidas quality.

Earlier I was a bit skeptical about only my pants being poor in quality and had doubts if mine was a defective piece or similar. I checked with one another friend who also bought these pants, and he is not impressed either, but does not complain a lot at the same time. adidas Men's Revolve Pant, Black, Medium

This is the second pants I buy of this model. The first I bought Medium size and it came soo large I thought it was defective. Looking at the picture shown at Amazon, I thought they would be thinner, but nooo! They run soo large it's more like a Large or X-large. Beware!

These are great pants. Great for the gym, especially during flu season when everything is being spread around. Look sharp, keeps its color and sharp. Also, these things never go out of style. Basically the same pants Run-DMC was wearing 25 years ago. :) - Adidas - Track Pants'

Electronic Bible - electronic bible

My eyes were getting tired and blurry from being on a computer all day. I have several Bibles, but haven't been able to read them for a long time. I researched electronic Bibles for a few months and kept coming back to this one. I finally decided to make the purchase and have absolutely loved it! I sampled the dramatized one online and decided that this would add some life. I like the fact that you can turn the narration off and just read (in large print, even!) and the speaker is external (or I can use headphones). Also, the scrolling speed is adjustable or I can turn it off. The only two things that are very slight drawbacks for me (and I'd add another star for them) is the fact that you can't listen to music while reading and it is not PDF capable. Ebooks have to be converted to .txt format for the NowBible to read them and you lose a little bit that way. I'm still learning all of the features, but it's fun!! Now Bible Color Niv Dramatized (Ibible Nowbible Wowbible), By Kingneed. Audio Visual Electronic Bible Reader w/ PDA & Ipod Mp3

All I can say about this product is that it is great. My wife, high school daughter and I use them all of the time. We have three of them in our family. I would recommend the NowBible to anyone who loves the Word. - Electronic Bible'

War Movies - war movies, history

This "World War II Collector's Set" is an excellent documentary-film collection at a bargain price. If you care to check, you will find that some of the films collected here (Hitler's Britain, Desert Victory, The Nazis Strike, Here Is Germany, The Spreading Holocaust, and How Hitler Lost the War) are sold separately on Amazon for about the same price (individually) as this set. Desert Victory is an Oscar-winning documentary. The Nazis Strike was compiled by master director Frank Capra. Hitler's Britain, while a documentary, asks the "what-if" question: "What course would the Nazis have pursued had they actually overrun England?" The six films are on two disks, and all told they run over six hours.

* * * * * World War II Collector's Set: 6 Films

I bought this set for the movie other than "Hitlers' Britain", and "How Hitler Lost the War", at walmart for $5, cause I don't believe I had seen the others, though I had bought the two latter separately on two dvds in better resolution, and they were well worth having on individual discs. This set has alot of overcompression of the videos causing pixelation, but hey, for the price, I paid five bucks, who cares, I could always go for a better copy individually if really appeal to me more, later.

Of course, I always find our western education that relates everything to war against Nazi germany in WW2 as a war against Hitler himself, a truly ignorant premise. Too many documentaries use the same catchy phrase, like "Hitlers flying machines", or "hitlers uboats", or "Hitlers secret weapons", etc, you get the idea, its getting old so fast its too old, its almost like they are afraid of the "nazi" word, like maybe calling it "Nazi Britain", or "How the Nazis lost the war". I mean, hey, one man didn't do all that mayhem, he had help, ya know, from "THE NAZI'S".

There is some interesting interviews with Adolph Galland and another german flying ace, both of which served in the post war West German air force in one capacity or another, very good, a must have, you'll want the individual dvds after seeing that.

This DVD comes with only one disc and six full-sized documentaries. If you have to realize that the quality is not guaranteed because the films have suffered over time. Please understand how time has harmed the documentaries but they are restored as much as possible. Anyway with a few scratches and signs of imperfection of the early film documentaries, the six documentaries included Academy Award winner, "Desert Victory," which is really just World War II film footage and a narrator talking about the war in Northern Africa.

Everybody knows Frank Capra as the father of "It's A Wonderful Life!," but he was also Colonel Frank Capra for the United States Army. He directed "The Nazis Strike" which features the propaganda messages and Nazi newsreel to brainwash a nation. He also directed "Here is Germany," which shows the country as a hard-working nation of good people. It's another propaganda technique.

"The Spreading Holocaust" displays the horrors of World War II included the concentration camps which killed millions. As the Allied forces invaded occupied Europe, they would soon learn the Nazis horror and inhumane crimes against humanity.

"Hitler's Britain" is perhaps the youngest of the documenaties by a British and Canadian networks. It's the unimaginable if Britain was invaded by the Germans. The documentary features experts and witnesses.

"How Hitler Lost the War" is another analysis of how the Third Reich miscalculated their decisions to invade Poland and the Soviet Union among other fateful decisions. It's an important to realize why they lost and the unimaginable possibility if they had won the war.

This one disc captures unforgettable images of leaders, dictators, evil, and horrors of war that should never happen again in our world. Just imagine if the wrong side won the war.

It was OK. No captioning or subtitles which would have been nice when the background to the narration was shelling or bombing, esp the STUKA dive bombers. My other negative observation is the substantial use of stock scenes, repeatedly. But I'm a WWII buff so I gave it a 4 stars, otherwise it would be no more than a 3.

Hitlers Britain and How Hitler lost the war are fantastic thay share information that few have learnt about extremly interesting, altho some of the other films in the box set are extremely dark and label german people to be a blood thirsty race instead of just being informative.

The films in this collection were made during the war or right after the war. Older materials. Dark and scratchy. More or less propaganda materials for the west.

The low price is the highlight from this collection. - History - Hitler - War Movies - Newsreel'

Robert Kirkman - amc, walking dead

This was one of the funniest shows on TV, but ABC never really gave it a chance. The second chance they did give it after surprising ratings after Season 1, was only to try and put more viewers into the sorry excuse for the 8th season of Scrubs.

Better Off Ted was hilarious every single episode. I was rolling every day, and can't wait until this gets put onto DVD so I can enjoy this ad nauseum (though that term isn't quite appropriate since I'm still not tired of Season 1). Better Off Ted Season 2

This was the funniest, most hysterical show on TV before it was cancelled by ABC. Why it was cancelled is a mystery to me because the cast was absolutely hilarious and every week was more entertaining than the last. Can't wait until the second season is released on DVD so I can own and continuously rewatch this series and enjoy each time I do!

ATTN ABC: Please bring this show back!!!!!

Better Off Ted is one of the funniest shows ever aired -- I don't think there was a single episode that didn't bring me to tears with laughter... But sadly, it was so poorly handled by the programmers at ABC that it never stood a chance. If you've never heard of it, there's a good reason for that -- bizarre scheduling that doomed it from the start. The last two episodes never even saw the light of day, so I'm looking forward to the box set to finally see them.

I still can't make up my mind whether to praise ABC for airing this show, or curse it for dropping the ball so thoroughly with it. Somebody at ABC was brilliant; but many more were idiots.

You cancelled one of the funniest (and best cast) shows ever. At least give us the second season dvd set to watch and re-watch and enjoy, and lament that you and the general viewing public didn't appreciate what a truly clever show it was.

BETTER OFF TED is/was one of the funniest, smartest, and, yes, one of the most cynical shows on TV in recent years -- not that there's anything wrong with that... Much like "Arrested Development", "Better Off Ted" was never really given the chance to succeed and to find its audience. So -- ABC -- please please give us Season 2 on DVD: the fans of the show will be happy and you will make a few bucks -- it's a win-win!!

This was the greatest show ever on tv. I laughed so hard I cried during many of the episodes. ABC never really gave the show a chance, moving it from one night to another, one time slot to another and never really giving it a home. If they had put it on their Wednesday night block it would have taken off and we would still be watching it. If you work for a large company, this is the show for you.

Greetings from Germany. "Better off Ted" first aired in 2010 on a small German Free-TV-Channel. It seemed to be an unexpected hit with many many fans, despite of the usually small audience of this channel. The TV-Channel noticed the potential : big advertisement campaign ! The funniest show since Seinfeld ! At the end they show a couple of episodes of season 1.......and cancel the show without a reason. BoT just vanished and was never seen again. Thousands of furious german fans where mourning over the internet. Me and several friends bought codefree DVD-Players at ebay and season 1 at amazon.com, so we are at least able to watch the complete first season over and over again. So please ABC give yourself credit for this incredibly funny show und PLEASE (!!!) release season 2 on DVD. It will be purchased even overseas ! (And in Germany I'm not even able to buy season 2 as a stream !!!)

how did this show ever get canceled??? it is HILARIOUS and incredibly smart. if you like satire, this is probably the best i've ever seen of american corporate life. think 'office space', but the next step up in terms of wit and outrageousness. positively wicked, laugh-out-loud fun.

the only reason the show got canceled was lack of advertising and therefore low viewership. the viewership it did have, however, was very loyal and loved the show. hopefully they will release season 2 so that new fans can watch it. - Amc - Survival Horror - Tv - Walking Dead'

Cashmere Scarf - shawl, pashmina

I ordered and had this shipped to my sister for her birthday. It look a couple of days longer to arrive than expected. But once she received it, she raved about the scraf. She loves it - and that says a lot since she is very picky. SCARVES-iNKY NAVY PASHMINA STOLE from Cashmere Pashmina Group in 55 vibrant colors (INKY NAVY)

I ordered the scarf and was pleasantly surprised to receive the larger wrap as a substitute. I wore it on a pleasant evening to the theater knowing that I would need my arms covered during the performance to ward off the chill and while walking to my car afterwards but not wanting to lug a sweater or jacket. It is soft, warm, attractive and just perfect.

I bought this stole recently and I'm really happy with it. The color is beautiful (my choice was Caribe Blue). The material is thin, very soft and very warm. Excellent quality. I would really recommend it (especially when it's on sale! I got it for $24 instead of the regular price)

These cashmere wraps are so soft and the colors absolutely brilliant. I was so pleased with the first one that I purchased another. You will not be disappointed if you buy one for yourself or as a gift.

I received my order of two pashmina scarves (lavender and charcoal grey) this morning, a day sooner than I expected!

The scarves are thinker than I imagined and the colors are brilliant. The photos online really don't do them justice. They are a little less soft than I had been expecting, but I suspect that with a few dry cleanings and some use it will soften up, like my other pashmina scarves. All in all I have very pleased with my purchase, and would definitely recommend this vendor to a friend. - Pashmina - Gift Idea - Shawl - For Mom'

Highly Recommended - highly recommended, upright bikes

I did a lot of online research before purchasing this bike. I was looking for a bike that was built well, quiet, decent electronics, and good value. This Schwinn 140 is exactly what I was looking for. Shipping was very quick for this item. Amazon told me it shipped on a Friday, and it arrived at my house the following Tuesday.

Unpacking the box was relatively easy. It looked like a lot of parts at first, but there weren't that many steps required to put this bike together. I was able to assemble this bike in about an hour, by myself. The instructions were clear, although installing the handle bars was a little tricky.

Once the bike was assembled I spent about 15 minutes making adjustments for my riding height and style. This bike has many adjustments, so take your time getting it right. I'll probably make more adjustments after my first full week of workouts.

I really like the electronics. The display looks high-end. It's bright, easy to read, the colors are nice. I had one issue when I first powered up the bike, after 2 minutes I got an "E3" error. But after resetting the display, it was fine, and I haven't seen it since. Hopefully that's not a portent of things to come. But so far so good.

I'm 6', and weigh 240 pounds (that's why I bought an exercise bike). This bike feels very sturdy for my size and weight. No loose parts, or creaking noises. At least not yet.

I will be posting pictures to Amazon shortly. Schwinn 140 Upright Exercise Bike

After doing much research on upright excercise bikes, I selected the Schwinn 140. I ordered the unit from Amazon on Sunday and received it on Wednesday. The box is good sized and quite heavy so I waited for the weekend to move to the basement and assemble. The assembly process took about 1.5 hours. The instructions were simple (tools included) all parts went together very well. I had a little challenge installing the handlebars (due to computer cable), but after a couple of tries, everything fell into place an sligned properly. The computer unit has a number of pre-programmed profiles, but I created my own, and this was a very easy and simple process. The instruction manual could be better, but most operation is intuitive anyway, so not that important. The bike is very quiet and smooth, allowing the user to change profiles on the fly. The unit is also allows for easy adjustment for just about every aspect of the bike, allowing different users a proper fit. Overall, very pleased with value received and of prompt delivery by Amazon.

Had it almost two weeks. Goes together in about an hour and fits in an incredibly small space. Seems very well constructed, no loose parts. Takes awhile to adjust everything as everything is adjustable. Seat is very comfortable, I purchased a different seat when I ordered the bike, but decided to use the seat that came with it. Makes absolutely no noise at all when you're riding it. Shifting between levels is smooth and quiet, and the pedaling is very smooth and consistent all the way around. Heartbeat monitor on the handles work great, but trying to get my Polar band to talk to it has been a challenge as there is no documentation on how it connects. Seems like if you start riding first, then activate the band, it works, but still trying to figure this out. The interface on the computer takes some getting used to. The documentation for the computer could be a little better, but overall, I am extremely happy with this bike. Great value for the money!

Delivery was quick. Set up was easy, took less than an hour. Bike is well made and sturdy. I usually manually control the resistance so cannot comment on preprogrammed readout.

Bike functions well, easy to adjust.

For my body type, long torso, shorter legs, the biomechanics of this bike could be better.

With seat properly adjusted, still have some lean on the arms and i find with rides longer than 20 minutes that i get some numbness in the hands.

As for the seat, this is fine and is reasonably comfortable for shorter rides.

Since i usually do intervals on indoor exercise equipment for 20-30 minutes, the above limitations are easily dealt with.

Overall an affordable addition to the home gym.

Like many others, I researched this bike for about 2 weeks before deciding to purchase it. I read everything I could find about Schwinn bikes period. The model before this (the 130) is what I was going to purchase at WalMart, it was cheaper but I would have to pay for tax & shipping (free shipping and no tax on Amazon.com) so it was only going to save me about $30 at WalMart (for the older model) so I am definitely glad I decided to buy the 140 at Amazon.com.

The previous model (130) was highly rated/recommended on the Consumer Report websites and that made me realize that a newer model would/should be even better. I live in a small apartment and although I wanted the recumbent one, I had to go with the upright. Not to mention, I figured I could work on my posture while riding upright. (ha ha) This bike is just what I need to get in shape. I have a leg injury and I am overweight and out of shape. I needed a piece of equipment that I could commit to and not feel like I was doing a dreaded chore. I can hop on this bike and watch tv, listen to music, talk with people around me, or just look out of my window.

At first I felt like the price was expensive compared to the other models, but it's true, you get what you pay for. As I mentioned, I am overweight and I needed something that would last while I pursued my fitness goals. The other brands are not built as well as the Schwinn models. Simply look at the frame work and tubing and you can tell.

After I put it together (without any problems whatsosever) I realized that it was of good quality and worth the money I spent. The setup was easy. I am a female with manicured nails and I didn't even chip my polish putting this bike together. I also didn't require any help. It was really easy. I had my laptop on my sofa with the manual enlarged (I went to the Schwinn website and downloaded it) so that I could see the images clearly, but I mainly used the paper manual that the bike came with.

I read the instructions for the setup of the user profile and everything went just fine.

~I read some reviews about little issues with customizing, but if you just take your time and read the manual, you will really see its not difficult. When you set up a custom workout, you have to realize that it goes through 30 levels so it appears as though nothing is happening, but be patient as you customize it and you will see that it is working right.~

~Also the Heart Rate monitor, if you simply plug it in on the side, it should work just fine. You just have to look for the spot to plug it in to.~

I have only used the bike 4 times so I can't give you any long term use information, other than the programs are nice, the resistance is great, and it has a lot of features on the console once you set up your user profile, but I can say that this is a very good investment for anyone considering purchasing a quality exercise bike. It is a good piece of equipment. If you have to save up a little to get the bike, start saving! If you are considering a different brand, forget about it! If you think that its hard to put together, get over the thought! If you are worried about it not being right for you, try it and you will like it!

I have a lot of weight to lose and I don't like going to the gym. I walk around my neighborhood which is ok, but now I can get a good little cardio workout. I am so glad that I got this bike. I am helping myself in the long run. This is the best way to spend over $300 and have something well worth it!

No missing/broken pieces, no damaged stabilizers, no damaged or flimsy box. I ordered and received in exactly 7 days. ***I'm NOT discrediting anyone's reviews about problems they had with their purchase, I am just stating that my purchase was problem free***

~I will add another review/or update in the future about how the bike is performing~ I hope this helps motivate someone! - Upright Bikes - Schwinn - Highly Recommended - Stationary Indoor Bike'

Cordless Stapler

I'm replacing one that i lost in a fire we had at my shop.Everything is better now. I wanted one like i had before. I like the idea of being able to take it off the holder with out having to drag the cord along. It does take awhile for it to heat up if you are going to

use it out of the cradlle. other wise it works great. C600 Model PowerShot ThermoGrip Cordless Hot Melt Glue Gun'
