Highly Recommend - soundbar, home theater

We just purchased a new 55" LED TV for our great room and needed a sound system (as is well known, the flat panel tv speakers are horrible). We did research for several days and had finally settled on either the Sony CT150 or the Boston Acoustics TVEEM20. Both had recieved great reviews. The problem with Sony is that the subwoofer is wired and contains all the inputs as well as the sensor for the remote. Thus, the subwoofer must be near the TV and easily visible (given the wall mounted location in our room, its a pain to run 10 foot cables through the wall). The problem with the BA is that it only has the circa 1980 RCA input (which few modern TVs seem to have as an output option). After much research we decided we had to settle for one or the other and went to Best Buy to test them. Once there, we stumbled upon the LG which hadn't even been stocked yet (just saw the box in the corner). After checking out the specs, we were delighted to see that LG had settled the problems! Wireless subwoofer can sit out of sight yet provides great effect. The sound bar has two optical inputs, plus a USB port and is Bluetooth enabled. All ports are on the bar, so you only need a short single optical cable from the TV to the bar.

Set up took about 2 minutes; plug in the bar, the subwoofer and plug in the optical cable. That's it. Be sure to turn off your TV's speakers to avoid any issues with sound bleeding.

Sound is great, assuming you have realistic expectations. This is not a $2000 home theater system so don't expect that. However, for a $300-$350 range soundbar, the sound is outstanding! Other than a tiny bit of static when set on a couple of the pre-installed sound effects (which goes away when we tried a different setting), its great. Plenty of power for our great room which is open on two sides and has 20 foot ceilings open to a loft (basically the worst acoustical set up you can imagine). Yet the LG puts out plenty of power; haven't even turned it up more than half way as even that was blasting. Great range of sound as far as we can tell; seems to hand music, movies, games, etc very well (again, use the different sound settings to get the best effects depending on source and type of content).

The Bluetooth sync is extremely easy. My wife had the Ipod running through the system by the time I was done putting away the box. The LG has a specific sound setting for MP3 files that upscales the frequencies, etc. The sound is really amazing.

If we had to come up with any negatives, we only have 2 very minor ones. My wife doesn't like the look as much as the Sony (the LG speakers are exposed, so it looks a bit more industrial); but even this is relative and very minor. We both agree its stylish and low profile. The only other negative is that it won't sync with our DVR universal remote, so we have to use the sound bar remote for volume control, and the other for everything else. Not really a big deal.

In sum, we stumbled upon this by accident (didn't even know LG made a soundbar, which is ironic given that we had bought a new LG LED tv just a few days earlier) and couldn't be more pleased. If you're looking for a good, low profile sound system for your tv but don't want to go to a full theater system, this is a good option. If you're an audio snob, you probably won't like it, but then again you probably sholdn't be looking at soundbars anyway. LG LSB316 Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer

I saw on an online post in a tech blog about a year ago that LG was going to launch a sound bar product. I was intrigued because I had purchased three LG lcd TV's in the past couple of years for different rooms in my home. I think they make a good product that is competitively priced. Sound performance has never been a strength of any flat screen product, and until you get a set in place in your home, in a specific room and live with it for a while, you really don't understand how good or how bad the TV performs.

My 47" family room TV was underperforming, but I did not want to go the whole distance and install an AV receiver and expensive speakers as I had done in the "man cave" that my son has since taken over for XBox and other teen activities. So, when I finally saw the pre Consumer Electronics press release from LG late last year that a sound bar product was in fact coming in 2011, I was interested. I did not see a lot of exposure from CES 2011, but knew it was only a matter of time before it popped up in stores given spring product launch/introduction cycles.

So last weekend the Best Buy circular in the local paper came and showed a free LG sound bar with the purchase of a 55" LG TV, stating the retail value to be $329. The sound bar from LG was available, but I doubted the retail price if Best Buy was offering it as a freebie, as a new prodcut (the LG and BB marketing guys really know how to kill a new product margin...but to my benefit). I quickly went to the web, looked at the Best Buy site ($329), the LG site ($329), Amazon ($256 sourced through World Wide Stereo ... went to their site, $269) and then did a broader Google search....nobody less money than Amazon, with shipping inlcuded!

WOW, Amazon is living up to their price leader reputation I thought. I had been through this before with Amazon. Sometims they hit a price point, and it only lasts for a few days or a week or two, and then the price goes up and you know you have missed the opportunity to buy for a low price. I didn't know if this would be the case with a brand new product, but I thought, based on other sound bar products I had looked at, that this was a good product at a good price. So, bought it on Saturday, it was delivered on Monday. Can't do much better than that Amazon.

Oh yeah, the sound bar. Came in a big box. Nicely packed to avoid damage shipping all the way from South Korea or wherever LG built this. The sound bar is small in size. They say it is built to match up to a 42"; makes me think they must have a larger version coming out next. But the 39" wide version looks good sitting on my console in front and beneath my 47" LG TV. Set up was very fast and easy (can be wall mounted, bracket included). Plug in the optical cable to the Comcast DVR and the sound bar. Set the wireless sub woofer on the floor next to my TV console and plug it in. Turn on both devices (TV and DVR). Everything works, first time, less than ten minutes, amazing! Also nice that they included at least one optical cable so you can get the system working right away.

The remote is small, intuitive and if you have an LG TV, automatically controls both (wish it controlled my LG BluRay...but I guess I'll be looking at a Harmony remote next), was easy to use. After it was all set up, I looked at the instruction manual! The sound was good, not great, but much better than we had from the TV. It can really pack a punch though when you turn up the volume. There are different settings for the sound depending on the type of programming you are watching. I have always thought this was kind of gimmicky, but since having something similar on a new AV receiver, I realize that there is real value in the way they have rigged these electronic chips. We look forward to the much improved experience watching BluRay movies or streming Netflix or just watching regular TV. Definitely happy with my purchase and the price I paid. Good product, good value. Glad I waited for this and didn't buy a bigger much more complex 5.1 type set up with all of the hassel extra wires and need for an AV receiver. I know the sound could be better, but in a smallish sized room, this is perfect for what we need.

The absolute icing on the cake is the BlueTooth connect. We have several Apple iTouch and iPhone devices in the house and a big library of iTunes and music on our home server. I have been looking at a Sonos set up to stream music through the house but want to see what Apple does with AirPlay before I make a final decision and investment. The sound bar BlueTooth, although it is by no means a hi fidelity device, gives you a little more freedom to unlock your music from a sound dock or ear buds. The LG LSB317 once again worked flawlessly connecting to the iPhone and iTouch and the music didn't sound half bad.

The worst part of the whole experience was the stupid label that LG placed on the front surface of the sound bar. It did not peel off easily, and it probably took longer to take it all off with rubbing alcohol that it took to unpack the box and set up the system......go figure! I guess LG doesn't have any packaging engineers?

I think LG has a winner on its hands with this product. - Highly Recommend - Home Theater - Soundbar - Lg'

34 Inchx29 - 34 inchx29, expandable waist

Not sure what is going on with Dockers. These pants are not what I am used to. The material is fine. Iron free, close but still need the steamer. I have owned many iron free or wrinkle free dockers over the years. Seems like the quality of the pants being offered by this company has been declining over the years. Dockers Mens Iron Free Khaki D3 Classic Fit Flat Front Pant, Iron Grey, 32x30

I had Dockers for few years now, 33/34. This time the item arrived was at least one inch longer and wider than in past. I am going to return them (and order smaller ones).

Beware everyone, their sizing is misleading! - 34 Inchx29 - Expandable Waist - Pants - Khakis'

I bought the package with the Dremel 750-02. Even if purchased alone well worth the $12. Read my review on the Dremel 750-02. The variety of bits for quick small fixes are well worth it!...

Definately a 5 star item with nice case. Keep it in your pantry along side the wireless...it really comes in handy! Dremel 687-01 52-Piece General Purpose Rotary Tool Accessory Kit With Case

Really - i had priced this out for a lot higher + tax at stores near my house.

this kit has a good general mix.

i bought (3) when it had a special on amazon..

glad to own.(P.S. WORKS WITH CRAFTSMAN BRAND)

Bought this to use on my dogs nails, he is very nervous about nail trimming it is very quite and does a good job of trimming the nails down. It works ten times better than pedi-paws. I would recommend this for your pets nail trimming.

I use this kit with my Dremel 686. Of course, Dremel makes all kinds of accessories for their tools, but this is a good starting point. There are different accessories for different jobs. If you can't find what you need here, you can always find an accessory that suits your needs.

This 52-piece kit is a great starting block for any Dremel owner.

I used the included reinforced cutting wheel to cut through heat-treated .65" chromoly handlebars and it still has life left. I also used the included aluminum-oxide cone-shaped grinding stone to grind about 1.5 mm of 7075 T-6 aluminum from a sprocket and that also still has life left. Very high-quality bits, definitely recommended. - Rotary Tool Accessories - Running - Dogs - Attachments'

High Definition

I wanted to review this product's feature set and its ease of setup or its compatibility or some other attributes. However, I could not: mine failed after only 100 days of ownership. And I couldn't initially get it fixed by Sling because they told me they only support it for 90 days. I guess I'm old-fashioned in that I expect products to last more than three months before they fail. I also expect companies of those failed products to stand behind them.

UPDATE ONE MONTH LATER: Sling was now willing to honor the warranty on my Slingbox....but only if I paid them $50 more for an extended warranty. Yes, even though my product was well within the one year warranty. Only if I paid them more money would they answer my calls or e-mails asking them to replace my unit.

Anyone considering this product should add $50 to the purchase price when evaluating its worth to you. The product essentially comes with a mere 90 day warranty--you must pay extra after that. Sling should be upfront, adding that $50 to the list price and providing good support. But I guess that's not how they do business.

UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER: After stewing over the extra $50 for months, I opted to pay it so I could move forward and actually have a working SlingBox. I will give Sling credit: Once you pay them their extra $50, they do support you. They stayed on the phone with me at length, connected in remotely, and didn't hesitate to send a replacement unit for my failed one.

I did require support after receiving the new unit because no installation instructions were included and their software is not all that smart. It should have recognized there was a new SlingBox on my LAN and proffered "Do you want to configure the unconfigured SlingBox?" instead of making me hunt through the menus to force it to do so. There are still bugs in the latest configuration utility too, leaving me stuck in the procedure at one point with no "Continue" button and necessitating another chat with Sling support.

OVERALL: I cannot recommend a SlingBox for a non-technical user. With work, an average Joe can connect the cables to one but the software setup is for those who understand video hardware and computer software rather well. This is in no way whatsoever a "plug & play" product. Better software engineering (and hardware quality) could vastly widen the potential user audience. Maybe we will see this in future revisions, but until then it remains a hobbyist extravagance. Make sure you know what you're getting into before buying. Sling Media Slingbox PRO-HD SB300-100

Overall, I have been pretty happy with the functionality of this product over the last 9 months. Other reviews have covered the features well, so I'd like to focus on the customer support/warranty side of things, which is an important consideration.

In order to use access the video from your Slingbox remotely (when away from your home), Sling has created the concept of an online "sling account" which stores your Slingbox access information on the internet.

As far as I can tell, once you leave your home network, there is no way to access your slingbox signal, without logging into your sling account. This is basically a website, that you log into with email/password, and designate which slingbox you want to watch.

I recently ran into a problem where my email address changed (they require you to login into your slingaccount with your email address rather than a userid), and I needed to update it on my slingaccount. After MUCH searching, all I could find was a way to change my password, but no way to change my email address.

So, I found the "contact us" email link, and fired off a quick request to "please let me know how to change the email address on my sling account".

What I received back was really shocking. Honestly, I have been buying electronics, web services, etc for a long time, and have never received as outrageous of a reply as this.

The response was basically:

- We checked your account, and you purchased your slingbox over 90 days ago, which makes it outside our warranty.

- Therefore, in order for us to resolve you issue, you will need to pay us $29.99 per incident.

- OR you can pay us $49.99 for 2 more years of support.

Are you kidding me! It took them LONGER to write that reply than it would have to copy/paste in the answer for how to change my email.

So just beware, that you will very likely need to pay an extra $50 (or $30 per incident) in order to have access to ongoing functionality of your SlingAccount.

Also, at least in the email I received, they indicated that the $49.99 2 year support coverage was only available PRIOR TO MONTH 12 of your ownership of Slingbox. So if you want to avoid the $30/pop charge, you need to pay the $50 before the 1 year mark.

I was a happy users for about 11 months. Oh - it was a pain to setup some times. They tricked me into buying the HD version when they still don't support HD on the Mac OS/X. (They had an upgrade program and claimed my older Slingbox wouldn't be supported anymore which turned out not to be true.)

But today, about a week before the 1 year hardware warranty is set to expire the box just quit. No power light, no network lights - the box doesn't do anything. Clearly a hardware issue or a bad power supply.

However when I follow the directions on the SlingMedia website to get an RMA to return the defective hardware, I was told I need to pay $29.99. I said it is still under warranty - you cannot charge me. The person said it was $29.99 to talk to them. I asked if it turns out to be a hardware issue - which it clearly is, would I get refunded? No was the reply. There is no escalation path.

Consumers should not have to pay to have warranties honored. SlingMedia is no longer a company I respect or can recommend. I highly recommend everyone avoid this company.'

Gold Toe - cotton, gold toe

Gold Toe makes an excellent sock and their "Men's Metropolitan Dress Sock" is no exception. The socks are remarkably comfortable; they are not thick and they are not too thin just as other reviewers noted. They almost never "bunch up" inside my shoes as I walk around and they are very much worth the price. They last longer so the long life of these socks justifies the slightly higher price.

I also like the design of the toe section actually being gold colored fabric. Amazon points out that these socks come in your choice of four different colors: black, charcoal, brown and navy blue. The safest, most conservative choice for the corporate office is the black color; but the other colors come in handy too depending on your work/play "dress code."

These socks can easily be washed in any washer or dryer--but I would heed the manufacturer's warning about not drying them at a high temperature. High temperatures in the clothes dryer cause these socks to wear out faster. They will stretch more and become much looser on your feet.

The socks fit shoe sizes 7 through 12 so it's almost one size fits all. Very good!

Overall, Gold Toe is the brand to buy if you want good quality, long lasting socks. The "Metropolitan Dress Socks" for men match any attire and they can even be worn in bed on those really cold nights to keep your feet warm!

Highly recommended! May you wear them in good health! SMILE Gold Toe Men's Metropolitan Dress Sock, Black, 3-Pack Sock Size 10-13

The Metropolitan socks are thin and fairly comfy, but they sag on the calves very easily. I pulled them up all the way and wore them for about 3 minutes walking down the street. They were already sagging down to my ankles! They are not tight at all.

I'm 5'8" and bought the "one size" sock. I'm in good shape and my calves are neither fat or sculpted.

For $15/3-pair, I might as well have gotten a $5 3-pack of saggy dress socks at Walgreens.

Great socks.... They dont get much better than Gold Toe brand dress sock. I have been buy these socks for years and they last for ever... Any other dress sock I buy fades in two or three months. 100% worth the money.

If you have an Outlet Mall in your area most all of them have a sock/underware store. You can get these same socks for half the price. They are still worth the Amazon price

While these socks are very well made and overall a solid product, I agree that they do sag very easily and don't have very good elastic support like some other brands. These have the standard "ring" at the top to tighten around your calf, but unlike some other dress socks, they don't have the elastic tightness throughout the calf-area to support the sock from your ankle to your upper calf. Not a big deal, just a pain to have to pull up my socks repeatedly throughout the day.

Otherwise, be careful to combine these socks with uncomfortable shoes. Matched with comfortable shoes, these socks are great -- they're very breathable and feel good on your feet when you're walking or sitting at your desk. Matched with uncomfortable/mis-sized shoes, they are a nightmare. It's like wearing very thin sandpaper for socks -- they will grind on the balls of your feet and burn calluses into your skin. So, just be careful.

I have been wearing gold toe socks for about 15 years now, but as other folks have pointed out, they don't seem to last long at all anymore. They don't get holes, but the heal seems to wear away pretty quickly (I just use them for work, no running or anything) I did notice that with this last set of socks I bought that they are no longer being make in the USA. I think they may have changed up the material being used at the same time. - Cotton - Gold Toe - Quality - Socks'

Backpacking Stove - camping stove, backpacking

My Platoon of Cavalry Scouts in the us army, here in Iraq, spend weeks at a time living out of our trucks at various locations away from most forces. We have a wide variety of multi fuel types of personal stoves in our platoon, and by far Coleman brand has proven to be the best. The most reliable, even in high winds, the fastest and most effective at heating our water for coffee and food, and the most compact and travel friendly out of the five other brands we have with us. Coleman Exponent Multi-Fuel Stove

I purchased this a few months ago after the power at home went out for 6 hours and I could not heat up any dinner. My thought was you always have some unleaded gas around the house (in your car or for the boat).

I forgot about it until we had the 6.1 earthquake Sunday here in Hawaii - I opened the box, found some unleaded gas - filled it up, pumped the tank up a few stokes, and lit the burner - hot coffee in no time. This burns very hot and heated a tea kettle of water in about 5 minutes - burns clean with no soot or smoke.

I'd highly recommend one for your emergency kit - you never know who long the power might be out.

This is a Coleman 550, also known as a 'modern' Peak 1 stove. It will burn Coleman fuel (naptha), unleaded, and if you change out the included generator (a short brass tube) - kerosene. I purchased this stove to primarily burn kerosene, as it is a safer flammable, plentiful in my area, and is also used on my 70-year-old antique Optimus No. 1 'roarer' stove.

The 'Exponent Multi-Fuel' stove came in a small box with a set of instructions and a spare generator. The naptha generator is installed at the factory, but if you want to use kerosene (found at Wally World in the blue plastic qt. bottles), READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Changing out the generator to kerosene was simple and quick by first undoing a thin bolt at the top center of the burner. After undoing the generator nut at the valve, remove the burner plate and the generator. Replace with kerosene generator - but don't forget to turn the valve to low after connecting the funky 'L' hook of the stainless wire in the generator.

Here's where there are some problems with this stove (not deal-killers, mind you). Priming kerosene stoves (and lanterns) is best accomplished using denatured alcohol (SLX from Homeless Despot, etc.). Although Coleman states to use a 'paste,' such material is not readily found everywhere, unlike alcohol, and is messy to boot. This stove will prime just fine with alcohol, but you have to be careful to not pour too much into the INNER burner ring. If Coleman had made the inner ring one-eighth of an inch deeper, this would be a kick-butt kero burner! Too much soot is an indication of a low-temp prime, BTW. After nearly a dozen firings, there are just two spots of soot on the opposite side of the burner head from the kerosene jet - IOW, this stove burns clean (you will get a little stink after shutdown, but it goes away).

Minus one star for poor priming design. But kudos to Coleman for offering a nice little plastic priming bottle with a brass spout on-line for a few bucks (check out the kerosene lantern parts listings).

Next bad point: The valve knob is made of plastic. It is too close to the burner head. It is covered with an adhesive label (just like the main body of the stove). Why Coleman didn't at least choose to use one or more painted indents to indicate OFF, L, or H is beyond me. Also, the valve goes from off directly to high and THEN low, unlike any other stove designs i've experienced. I predict we'll see many of these stoves with melted valve knobs and missing labels in the future.

Minus another star for cheaping out on parts. For Gawd's sake, Coleman, put a nice folding wire knob on the valve or use painted indents!

Other than these failings, this is a decent performer on kerosene. I fill with Coleman kero, pump a dozen times, pour a half-ounce of alcohol into the inner ring, prime, and then blast on high until a nice blue ring appears. My stove is a bit 'twitchy' on settings, but it is easy to find the sweet spots of low blue flame and a roarer setting without too much orange. Combine this performance with easy availability of parts, and you'll have a nice little kero burner for camping or the back deck.

This was a great piece that we were actually issued prior to leaving for A-Stan, but I would buy one if I had to go back or go to another lovely 3rd world country. The brass line is easily swapped to use JP8, which is all we had. A great work around for the "warming gel" is simply to use hand sanitizer. The alcohol is the key ingredient and the gel form keeps it burning until the unit is properly heated. Small, lightweight and easily packed along with a plastic water bottle or two of fuel make a GREAT morale boost when (yes I know instant sucks but...) all you have is instant coffee and it's in the high 20's at night and the sun won't come out fast enough while your freezing your A** off while standing post. Definitely recommend also to cook Ramen in a canteen cup or the newer cups issued with the 32oz Nalgene bottles. AWESOME PRODUCT! If your significant other, family or friend is deploying to a small COP or OP then I would definitely recommend buying a cooking kit including camping utensils or just mismatched metal utensils.

Coleman's Exponent stove is a great performer...rather a hidden gem! I have used it at sea level to 5000 ft to the top of 14000 ft peaks and it has proven to be flawless in operation. Bypassing the priming stage with this stove is great unlike other competitors which I have used (kerosene will require priming gel). In some sub-zero F (-22 and -18 were the temps)conditions, a little priming paste/alcohol gel under the gen-tube does help it along faster....not necessary at all for stove to operate but sped things up a little prior to lighting. Stove WILL work fine in sub-zero, just takes a minute longer. Weight is heavier BUT when you include the fact the tank is attached, no hoses to wrestle with, fuel bottles rolling away, minimal seals to go bad and a weekend of fuel is already inside...the stove just can't be beat. A rotating bezel on the bottom slides around to adjust the feet high/low for uneven ground. Very stable on ground with 2 L pot on the burner with ~1L of water in it - since the fuel is in the base it is much more stable - center of gravity is low on the stove. High winds (~40 mph+) had little effect on the burner since the designed wind screen does its job magnificently. Well thought out design and with fuel it comes in around 2 lbs. Filter fuel (I use only coleman white gas) putting in about 10 oz and primed the pump with about 40-50 strokes. When it turns on, "HI" comes first and reduces in intensity as you rotate it so be prepared for a larger flame initially. Really had no issue with "monster flame ups" upon lighting. I usually light as I am turning PAST high to somewhere in the MED to LOW range and this technique works great. 15 to 30 seconds later the yellow disappears in the flame and a nice blue color settles in as the generator heats up to help vaporize the fuel. Excellent burner control from simmer/cooking eggs Sunny Side-up to wide open "blowtorch" high for melting snow for drinking makes it indispensible. You will have, when cooking, little need to have it on "HI" as the flames wrap up around the pot(even my 2 L titanium pot) making it hard/unsafe to repressurize the fuel tank. If you have to, it is best to remove the pot, lower the flame to "LOW" THEN repressurize. Another trick is to follow the Coleman instructions to the letter and pressurize by using the maximum number of pumps. eg- fill fuel cold, pump 50 times, light, and when burner settles down and goes blue, turn flame to low and pump 30 more times THEN do your cooking. I can run it for 20+ minutes without having to repressurize it again. Most often all the cooking will be done by then anyway. For deeper snow or powder get a decent metal snow pad to support it from sinking when heavier pots are on top. I have not used it with kerosene but the kerosene gen-tube comes with it (has a groove on the generator nut to ID it) in case you can't get white gas (overseas). Replacement parts for the pump etc are readily available all over the U.S. BUT if you disassemble it you lose the Coleman lifetime warranty. Check the stove before you leave so you have time to send it to Coleman for R&R and still maintain your warranty. The tether on the filler cap is nice so it doesn't get lost as it would have many times with me. A drop or two of oil into the hole on the pump will help it slide much easier...good thing to do pre and post trip to keep it sliding nicely. - Camping Stove - Stove - Backpacking - Coleman'

Ethernet Cables

My son needed a cord to run X-Box Live. After looking at the cords that were specifically indicated for X-Box, I decided to just find a cord that was of the type needed. I found this very long blue cord that works great, and it's half the price of the other "X-Box" cords. Don't waste your money on those other cords. Buy this one. It reaches easily from my son's room to the computer in our office area. RiteAV - Cat5e Network Ethernet Cable - Blue - 50 ft.

Arrived in a timely manner, great price. The only negative I have is the outer casing for the wire is not very durable. Just don't try to close a door over it or it may cut into the casing, silly me...

I bought this for my computer to get the fastest speed possible for my connection to the Internet. I found this works really good for my modem which is 35 feet away. It allows me to watch High Definition Video from Amazon and Netflix and works really well. I will be buying another one when the time is right!!

I needed a ethernet cable for my PS3 after using the 50 foot 35.00 cable i bought at BestBuy for my new computer, because going wireless is ok at best when your playing a multiplayer shooter. I seen the cheap price and that most of the reveiws were pretty good for this cable.

So i decided to try one. The cable works great. My PS3 does not lag at all while playing online. This cable works as good as the 35.00 dollar 50 foot cable that i bought from bestbuy and cost alot less.

The onley 2 things that the more expensive cable has over this cheaper cable is, the more expensive cable has a thicker outer covering,

and the more expensive cables covering is not as stiff.

If you need a cable to connect your game system or computer to your router or modem, give this one a try.

For the price you cant go wrong.

I bought this cable for my dorm room. I was skeptical it wouldn't work since it was such a low price, but it does! I've had no problems with it. Works great, and is flexible to get around tight corners.

Bought this cable for the bargain. It works O.K., but both end tabs snapped off immediately without any pressure being applied. We have a laptop and have to position the computer carefully before using. We lose our connection constantly. Now we have to buy another cable. Needless to say, it won't be this one.'

Finish Nailer - nailer, finish nailer

Normally I wouldn't bother with a gun for pins this small, but my elbow has been acting up, and faced with a lot of detail nailing for glue up I went looking for a pin nailer. As luck would have it, I had an opportunity to compare several. One of these was the Senco.

I have several Senco nailers and like them all but I find that, while the heavy duty Senco nailer are trustworthy machines, the light duty models are a bit underbuilt. This is the case with the Senco FinishPro 10. It worked fine most of the time, but when pinning from underneath it jammed several times in a series of about 150 shots. That is the first time I've had that problem with a Senco, and it's a pain to unjam.

Another thing I didn't like about this gun was the lack of a safety. This is as much a hobbyist's gun as it is anything else, which means it will get used by folks who aren't used to this kind of tool. Flying 23 gauge pins can do serious damage even if they are small. I also didn't like having to manually set pin length - something I'm a cinch to forget (more jams). One characteristic of all of the guns in this category is the need to operate them at full pressure if you want to drive the pin below the surface. And that isn't always effective.

My conclusion is that Senco's decision to make this an inexpensive tool kept it from being of the same high quality as Senco's other nailers. If price is your main driver the FP 10 will do, but if you need a high level of dependability, look further. Senco FinishPro 10 1/2-Inch to 1-Inch 23-Gauge Micro Pinner

I installed some cabinetry at home and used this tool beased on the reviews here to attach the scribes and delicate trim to these expensive hard maple cabinets. It worked like a charm. Never misfired, set the pins perfectly, no botched pins or split wood. Can't even see the holes, so its easier than gluing or puttying holes for an 18 gage nailer. The nails/pins should be loaded one way only, and a few drops of oil at the beginning of the project keeps this gun performing flawlessly. No problems whatsoever.

I bought this to fasten window trim into a timber framed glass wall I built. I had some really tiny windows in the wall that only had room for a nail gun with a max size of 7". I used this tool and it worked perfect. I have since used it for all sorts of stuff like nailing really small trim and shooting some "temporary" pins in odd shaped things I am gluing up so that I could attach a clamp. The nail holes are reall small and you probably don't need to patch the holes unless you are painting the finish product white. I have used this tool on just about every job I've done in the last few months. If you do any finish carpentry, you really should have one of these.

I bought this micro pinner for rustic work. I build alot of Adirondack rustic style items which require small diameter twigs to be fastened. Brad nailers are often too large for the job, and hand nailing with small brads is tricky at best. This pinner is absolutely perfect! I have been able to fasten twigs as small as 1/8" diameter to plywood and other wood surfaces with absolutely no splitting (of course it's a little tricky to get the pin centered in a twig this small). The little pins also have a pretty good amount of holding power. The Senco FP 10 is very light, has a nice design, and is a breeze to use. However, I was very surprised, and somewhat disappointed to find that, unlike my other Senco Nailers, this one is Taiwanese. I purchased it because I knew the Porter Cable was Taiwanese, and I wanted an American made product like my other Sencos. Given that the FP 10 is advertised as a professional tool, I never would have expected it to be an import.Only time will tell if it holds up as well as other Senco nailers. The other disappointment is that you need to oil this nailer, again, unlike other Senco products. All in all, for the price and for what it is designed to do, the tool is a good buy. Senco, of course, does not include any fasteners in the box, nor do they include a cap for the 1/4" NPT fitting (which IS included). The oil bottle is very small, so purchase your fasteners when you purchase the nailer and get extra oil while you're at it.

For those of you who are experiencing jamming, look at a strip of your fasteners and you'll notice several black "arrows". These "arrows" on the fastener strip must be facing down (away from the tool). Once this is done, the fasteners are loaded properly. If not, you will experience jamming. Also, make sure you adjust the height slide tool on top of the fastener magazine to correspond with the lenght of micro pins you are using.

I install high end kitchens for a living. A pin nailer is a necessity for me, but I am still waiting for a good one to come out. I would pay triple the cost of this thing if they would come out with one that doesn't jam or misfire all the time. Picture this, you're holding that crown moulding you just painstakingly cut to perfection and set in place...you hold it with one hand, apply your glue, grab the pinner and while holding both pieces together with one hand you gently ease the pinner to the perfect spot...squeeze slowly and pop. Pull the pinner back, let go and the pieces fall apart. Because the most frustrating tool in your box misfired AGAIN. I swear...I'd trade my new truck for a pinner that worked well. But, like I said...can't live without one.

As a trim carpenter I've used a lot of brad nailers, looking for the best results. When it comes to pinning delicate trim, such as scribe, 1/4" rope molding, or screen molding, even 18 guage brads are often too think and split the material. Not so with this 23 guage pinner. It's perfect for delicate work. I've even started using to install pre-finished crown molding in kitchens, the holes left are so small that I often don't have to putty, and even when the putty doesn't match well, it's nearly impossilbe to find the holes afterward. I highly recommend this gun to anyone who is concerned about the appearnce of nail holes on their finished work. And it's Senco, so you know it will stand up to the test of time and the punishment of constant use. - Nailer - Grex - 23 Gauge - Finish Nailer'

Khaki Pants - 34 inchx29, dockers

I own a few dockers pants all of which I purchased off amazon. I've had no problems with the fit Up until this purchase. I know my waist and length 32W/32L (at least from dockers)and I know what a 32W and 32L feels like when I have it on. On trying on this pair of pants I realized that the length is about 31 even though the tag says that it is 32 inches. I measured it against my other dockers to confirm my suspicion and I was correct, it's shorter than my other pairs which are all 32/32. All in all the pants don't fit bad and it looks great, I'm just disappointed that in this instance, the inches don't add up. If you're ordering this pants go for it, however, you might have to order about an inch or two longer that what you usually wear. Not Your Daughters Jeans

This is my first pair of NYDJ. I have read all the hype about this brand; all of the women who claim that NYDJ make them look slimmer, all the comments on the comfortable fit, all the compliments that come their way. BELIEVE IT! I have worn these jeans on two occasions so far. The first time, a long time friend congratulated me on my "weight loss" and on the second, a total stranger stopped me in the store to say she loved my jeans and had to know where to find them. I'm hooked; a total NYDJ junkie. The jeans are super comfortable, albeit a bit too long (and I'm 5'8"). The higher waist with tummy tuck panel, does indeed create a slimmer line through the waist and hips. The color is a beautiful dark blue denim. I am already plotting my next NYDJ purchase. Not Your Daughter's Jeans Women's Back Flap Pocket Jean, Denim, 12

These are my favorite Not Your Daughter's Jeans. They are really long (and length is usually a problem for me). They give a long and sleek look. I get lots of compliments when I wear them. They run big, so the 8 fits me better than the 10.

I have numerous pairs of NYDJ but these are my favorite. These jeans fit more like a trouser than a jean. The thighs are roomier than most other jeans. The fabric is not as heavy and smoother than my other denim jeans. The waist band is a little higher than I usually wear, but there are no gaps and it makes me look like I have a waist with no muffin top. Supportive in the tummy section, but doesn't squish tight. Sizing is as usual with NYDJ. I wear a 12 in other jeans, but 10 is perfect in these. The length is perfect for me but may be long for some. I estimate the inseam is about 33-34". Flaps on the back pockets enhance my flat rear.'
