Kindle Covers - kindle 3 cover, leather

I had purchased this because I loved the Targus Truss ereader flip case I purchased for my Nook at Best Buy for almost $40 which had the same flip-style. While the Targus case was beautifully made, it was also larger, heavier and didn't fit the Kindle very well, even though it claimed to fit the Kindle 2, Kindle 3 and the Nook. It did, however, fit my Nook perfectly. Perhaps this was a good thing, because I found that I actually like this one better and it was significantly less expensive!

I love this style of flip case because the cover is designed to flip around to be used as a flat base to stand the reader on rather than using a swing out arm. I like to read in bed, and this allows me to place it on my stomach or chest while still having a relatively stable, flat base which other flip-type cases do not do. You can also fold the cover of the case back on itself so you can hold it in one hand if you prefer.

The case itself is well made, with tight, straight stitching and two VERY tight elastic bands at the bottom corners. It was a little tricky getting the elastic bands across the bottom of my Kindle because they are so snug. No buttons are covered by the elastic and, once you get the Kindle secured, it will not accidentally fall out of the case. There are two leather edge covers at the top corners. When I first got my case, the right one did not seem to fit as well as the left, so I took the Kindle out, manually maneuvered the strap to be the shape I wanted with my fingers by pushing out the edges and drawing the center forward, then reinserted the Kindle into THAT strap first, then the other and it seems to have resolved the fit issue. This doesn't appear to be a flaw, it was just initially creased the wrong way and since leather has a bit of 'memory' it merely required some manual reshaping to fit correctly. The straps are made of soft leather (think 'glove leather') so they are very pliable. Once installed, the Kindle lies tightly against the case, yet I am still able to fit my M-edge book light between the reader and the case.

The leather on the outside is soft and the suede interior will keep your reader scratch free. I also purchased a Decal Girl Matte Finish skin DecalGirl Protective Kindle Skin (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle) Quest (Matte Finish) and it compliments the case perfectly. The wide elastic band that secures the cover to the back to close it is tight enough that there is not fear of it coming loose, yet elastic enough that you don't have to struggle to close it.

The only negative point I can think of is that the case must be open to charge the reader or access the audio port and volume and on/off rocker button at the bottom of the device. I didn't deduct any points for this because that's not a problem for me, but you may want to be aware of this if it's an issue for you.

Final Note: The free LED book light that comes with this is a joke. It's cheaply made and the light is harsh and uneven. I wouldn't let the book light be a factor in your purchase, because you'll just want to purchase another one once you see how hard it is to read by. I can recommend the M-edge Luminator2 M-Edge e-Luminator2 Booklight for Barnes & Noble nook - White only because I own and love it. It IS pricey though, but if you're a night reader, it is a good investment as it is one of the only book lights I've used that provides even lighting.

Edit 12/4/10 -

My husband liked my cover so much that he chose to buy one for his Kindle, too. We now own two and they are the same quality. Acase Vintage Acme Brown Genuine Leather Case with LED light for Amazon Kindle 3 (Latest Generation)

I waited for awhile to buy a case for my Kindle because none of the ones I saw intentionally gave you the ability to stand it up. I like to eat and read, or just not hold it at all depending on how I'm sitting... and this case is perfect for doing anything while reading. It gives you multiple options for the angle of how you want it to stand up. It looks great, it's nice and puffy. After getting used to holding the bare kindle for so long this actually feels much more comfortable.

The only thing is that the leather has a strong smell, not a leather smell but processed/chemical kind of smell.

This case is so amazing. It's really comfortable to hold and I love the soft leather and all the cushioning it has to protect my Kindle. Originally, I'd purchased one of the Amazon leather cases and, after the metal clips caused the machine to reset over and over, I really wanted something lacking in any sort of metal. This fit the bill perfectly. I was tickled as well that the case reminds me of a vintage bowling bag. I've gotten a few compliments on it already, including one person with an iPad hoping they made a case like it for his machine.

The case gives you a little bit of bulk to hold onto while reading your Kindle. Personally, I like this because the Kindle, by itself and in one of the thinner Amazon cases, wasn't very comfortable in my hand. The thinness caused my hand to tense up for some reason (first world problem indeed). Even though the Acase is bulkier, it is definitely not heavier! I really surprised at how little weight this added. And no metal bits! The Kindle is held firmly in by the leather corners and very tight elastic bands - it's very well made.

As other people have said - toss the little light they include. The case alone is completely and utterly worth every penny. The light isn't worth the labor it took to construct it. It would be easy to clip almost any book light onto this case, so if you need one, plan to get it elsewhere. - Leather - Kindle Covers - Acase - Kindle 3 Cover'

Newsboy Cap - e4hats, driving cap

I purchased this hat to wear out as a more stylish alternative to a baseball cap. It fits the bill perfectly and it couldn't be more comfortable to wear. It compliments just about anything I wear, so it's quickly become my go-to hat when I need a little protection from the sun. I highly recommend this hat! Brixton Men's Brood Hat, Grey Chambray, Medium

Sweet hat. A lot of hats in this style made by other brands look kinda stupid to me, but I'm happy with it. I actually have a small collection of Brixton hats. They know how to make hats right. If you're looking for a driver's cap, get this one.

I love this hat! I love it soo much I bought it again after I lost it in a cab, one drunken night. : Then I come to find that they have another color (Grey)! SO I bought it too, just in case I loose it again... NEVER! The fit is great, I have a big head and lots of hair and it looks fine. The snap in the front allows for a lower fit on the head. Meaning if you unsnap the button on the front, the hat can sit lower on your head. This is useful or situations where your hat my fly off from say a gust of wind... say in a convertible! This is good to keep in mind, it also give it a different look.

I bought this hat so I would have a more professional appearance when I walked into businesses. It's done just that and more. I've even received compliments on my hat. I am going to have to look for more hats like this. - Driving Cap - Hat - E4hats - Hats'

Ncaa Football - ncaa, ncaa football

In the wake of Patch #2 for NCAA 12, the moderating staff and community at Utopia (the largest NCAA specific community forum) wish to express our displeasure and frustration in an open letter to EA and the so called "Game Changers" and "Community Sites." EA's NCAA football series served as the catalyst for this site in 2003, and though the Utopia community has evolved to the point that it is no longer centered on EA's game, we still have a common wish for a quality college football video game. This franchise was once unanimously recognized as one of the most enjoyable and innovative sports games on the market, but has now fallen to such depths that virtually everywhere you look, more and more people on forums all across the internet are expressing extreme frustration and displeasure with both the game and the company that makes it. We see three obvious factors that have contributed to the environment that allows such an abject failure of a video game to be released (with good reviews, no less); exclusivity limiting competition, EA's patching methodology, and the "Game Changers" marketing scheme which helps to fracture the community and marginalize legitimate concerns about the game.

Problems caused by exclusivity:

Due to the fact that EA has purchased the exclusive rights to the NFL and NCAA football games, they have effectively pushed out all competition from football gaming. This means that they can release bug-filled games without the risk of losing customers who would buy a more polished football game if one were available. One need look no further than the recent failure of EA's basketball game to see the effect of competition on sub-par and bug filled games. The Madden and NCAA series have been plagued with bugs similar to those that caused NBA Live to be shelved, but without competition the games will continue to be developed with as little effort as possible. The results of the lack of competition speak for themselves. The NCAA series has devolved to the point that gamers can expect even the heavily marketed new features to be completely non-functioning at launch.

For instance, NCAA '09 touted a new roster share feature that was supposed to allow people to create custom rosters and easily share them with their friends. Unfortunately, the roster editor feature of the game contained a glitch so that once a certain number of players were edited, teams started completely disappearing from the game. On top of that, "Wide Open Gameplay" (the tagline for that year) translated into "No Defense At All", and the game quickly turned into a complete joke as it was nearly impossible to stop anybody on defense. On NCAA '10, the game was released with sliders that did not work (i.e. they had no impact on gameplay at all), with rosters that were clearly flawed, and with a new "run commit" feature that was so overpowered it virtually destroyed any gameplay balance (particularly for online play). NCAA 11 touted the new "locomotion system, which effectively broke zone defense, and new web based dynasty interfaces like the "Dynasty Wire," which turned out to be incredibly buggy (frequently crashed or displayed the wrong information) and is still listed as "Beta" on the website.

This year, one of the most heavily marketed new features in NCAA12 was custom playbooks, something Utopians have been asking for since the feature was dropped with the move to next-gen systems. As many have come to expect from EA, the custom playbooks feature was completely broken at launch. It contained a glitch which would cause the playcall screen to go blank and would result in players standing around in a huddle over the football rather than lining up in the correct formation. In addition to the custom playbook glitch, the new custom conferences feature was also broken at launch, containing massive scheduling errors that rendered it unusable. In addition to problems with new features, there were also numerous instability problems that caused the game to freeze or crash, as well as several glitches that affected online dynasty mode, such as dynasties not being able to be advanced properly and wins not being correctly recorded. At this point, the game is so bug filled that you are lucky to finish a game without a crash or disconnection. Even if you do finish the game, the result may have been recorded incorrectly, making your efforts futile. It is like clockwork; every new feature will be completely broken at launch and features that worked in the past will have new and crippling bugs.

We acknowledge that all video games are released with some bugs, but we feel that the lack of competition due to exclusivity has allowed EA to release football games that have more numerous and game-killing bugs than any other title. NCAA12 is the least stable console game that we have ever played. If EA had true competition in the football gaming world, they would be forced to either shelve the game, like NBA Live, or go back to the drawing board and dedicate more resources to releasing a quality game, like the FIFA series.

Problems Caused by EA's Patching Methodology:

In general, the ability to patch games has been both a blessing and a curse for gamers. While a good patch can save a game that would be otherwise derailed by a small bug, it also allows developers to release games that are basically unfinished, counting on patches to tie up all the loose ends. Nowhere is this practice more prevalent than in sports games, with their rushed yearly development cycle.

With the NCAA series, EA manages to take the "release an incomplete game and patch it" model to an incredible new low. Not only do they release obviously unfinished games, but in an effort to patch problems, they introduce new and bigger problems. For instance, last year EA released a patch that was supposed to address some problems with defensive AI and overpowered man to man coverage, and it instead resulted in a new glitch were the QB could pump fake backwards (towards his own goal line), and cause all of the defenders to immediately abandon their assignments and run towards the line of scrimmage.

While there is a long, well documented history of these issues, NCAA12 has taken things to a completely different level. This year, after waiting for nearly two months, EA released a patch that was supposed to correct some of the problems with custom playbooks, online dynasties and system stability. Producer Ben Haumiller closed his blog about the title 2 update with "Thank you again for your patience for the arrival of this second Title Update. I trust you will find that it has been well worth the wait." To put it bluntly, Ben, It was not "worth the wait." The patch not only failed to fix the majority of the problems it claimed to fix, but it also caused new problems that affected the no-huddle (a prominent feature for NCAA 11) , completely removed some formations from the game, and caused a host of new issues with the few custom playbooks and online dynasties that had the good fortune to work before the patch. Not only did EA release an extremely flawed product for sale at retail in July, but it took almost 2 months to release a patch, and the patch turned out to cause numerous new problems. At this point, it is obvious that the development team for NCAA football cannot even patch their own game without introducing a cornucopia of new glitches and bugs.

Problems caused by EA hijacking "The Community."

Over the past few years EA has gone to great lengths to improve their faltering reputation with "The NCAA Community." Whether it came in the form of sending EA representatives to forums, the "Community Leaders" program, or the Game Changers" program; EA has shown that they value having a positive image in "The NCAA Community." While this all sounds great, we find their efforts to be entirely disingenuous.

Before they even try to reach out to "The NCAA Community," EA attempts to define "The NCAA Community" in a way that eliminates those who are openly critical of their product. For instance, Utopia is notably absent from EA's list of "Community Sites," despite the fact that we are the largest NCAA specific community. The only interaction we've had with EA this year was a Cease and Desist letter in response to our April Fool's prank, proving that they not only read the site, but they also did not find our prank nearly as funny as we did (in retrospect, our April Fools descriptions of the game were actually far more accurate than the glowing reviews found on other sites). We acknowledge that EA attempts to avoid interaction with us because we are uncouth, drunk, and/or overly hostile; but that doesn't mean we aren't part of the community!

We also aren't the only ones to be excluded from EA's community program. Several other critical community members, including those who belong to TheSimStandard YouTube group (many of whom have provided incredibly detailed documentation to show problems with the game and ways to solve them) are also shunned by EA. This, despite the fact that they reach far more people than many of the "Community" sites that are included. For example, videos uploaded by TheSimStandard channel contributors have combined for a total of 713,955 views and they have well over 20,000 subscribers, while several of the sites that are included in the program appear to reach fewer than 100 members and are rarely updated with new NCAA related content. The simple fact is that EA has systematically worked to prevent anybody who is openly critical of their game from receiving any official recognition for their efforts. Instead, they choose to define "The community" as those sites, regardless of size/exposure, who will toe the EA company line.

The "Game Changers" program, much like the "Community Leaders" program before it, is a complete farce. As much as EA talks about incorporating community feedback into the game, it is increasingly evident that EA does nothing of the sort, and these programs are simply an extension of EA's marketing strategy. Simply put, we do not see any substantial in-game results from the "Game Changers" program, but we do consistently see a ton of pre-release hype along with glowing reviews. To be fair, we do not fault the "Game Changers" in this. We truly believe that most of them have the best intentions and that they have put in a lot of work attempting to make this a better game. The problem lies entirely in the fact that EA simply can't (or won't) make most of the changes suggested by the "Game Changers." The game engine itself is so archaic, bug-filled, and ad-hoc at this point that most of the common and recurring issues cannot be solved without a significant commitment of resources from EA, which is a commitment they won't make. Instead, EA will take input from the game changers and promise grandiose changes like "Custom Playbooks" and "Pattern Matching Coverage," while the actual implementation of those "features" will be nothing but ham-fisted tweaks to an aging game.

Beyond being simply ineffective, we believe that the "Game Changers" and other EA sponsored "Community" programs fracture the true gaming community and create a divisive environment that allows EA to release such buggy games without the proper amount of community outcry. This is due to the fact that EA places the "Game Changers" in the unenviable position of answering to angry gamers for all of EA's fumbles. These "Game Changers" serve as the only link between the average frustrated gamer and the NCAA football developers. They become de-facto customer service representatives, without the paycheck. The frustrated gamers and the frustrated "Game Changers," who now must put up with misguided personal attacks, end up divided. Instead of directing the frustrations and anger at the proper target, the community bickers between themselves.

We are therefore extending an olive branch to the "Game Changers." We don't hate you, we just lash out in frustration because EA has forced you to play customer service representative for a terrible product. We even apologize for directing our anger and frustrations at you, when EA is clearly the culprit. Please join us in calling EA out for the incredible levels of failure that are present in NCAA12 and Patch #2.

Columbia Belt 11co0221 - columbia belt 11co0221, belt

I bought it 2 weeks ago... and the black surface stareted to peel away... I used it every day for like 2 weeks only..it's poorly made ...I guessed I got what I paid for 30 dollar ...Made in China ...very crappy quality ...it split over 2 weeks...

Why you should not buy this ?

- poor quality...split in 2 weeks

- black leather surface peel aways in 2 weeks

- the buckle is quite heavy...the belt split bc of the way it go into buckle...

- the quality of the leather is very poor....

plz do not buy it if u do not want to waste money....Kenneth Coles seems to have problems with the quality control... when u outsource ...to third parties...

I won't buy any Kenneth Coles belts again....it seems to have a problem with a quality control.... Kenneth Cole REACTION Men's Brown Out 1-1/2" Leather Reversible Belt, Brown/Black, 38

I thought this belt would be perfect for frequent flyers, eliminating the need for packing one black and one brown belt. The idea was frustrated a little by the very heavy buckle. On the other hand, it's stylish and well-finished.

This belt is really pretty, the shape, the color, all about it.

But be aware, I'm already have an 32" Flosheim Belt and O know I'm 32 of waist, I order this in this site and I've to return it cause was to short, ask for the 34 and everything is great now.

Very nice looking belt that is well made. Contrary to many other -even brand name belts- that can be used both ways (for black and brown), it does nos separate or split both colors as it wears down with use.

Other belts, even if used exclusively on a single color side, split and have to be discarded. I like this one because it is both, good looking and sturdy.

It is too wide for use as a formal dress belt, but great as a casual dress belt.

Got it at a good price, too. Recommended.

I just returned from a cruise where I took the Kenneth Cole belt I had bought and last worn in my wedding in June 2008...this is January 2010. I have a different belt, its made in America and is a cranberry color with two loops to hold the belt end.

After wearing the belt one night, I used it again for Formal Night, wearing it with my silk suit from the wedding. When I returned to the cabin, I noticed my shirt and pants had what looked like wine streaks across them. I thought it was the dining room table. I pulled out the pants from the night before and they too had the streak. I wore my third and final pair of pants the next night was was going to inspect the table, but after a short time, I noticed these pants also had the streaks across them. I then inspected the belt and noticed the dye was rubbing off the belt and onto my clothing. I also noticed the belt was splitting in several places and the veneer was wearing off. Again, I may have worn this belt 4 or 5 times maximum.

Cleaning does not get streaks out for over $450 of clothing is ruined. I will be contacting Kenneth Cole to reimbursement, so watch this site for updates on how the company handles a situation like this before you choose to buy their product.

I have never bought such a crappy belt to my husband. worse thing is that I bought this one and another style of same brand. in less than a month they were both peeling the black part. i will never buy this brand again.

This belt looks great when you first get it. However, it scratches and stretches very easily and after 1-2 days it's no longer "reversible" because it puckers where the buckle is and develops folds/unevenness in the leather. A complete waste of money. Avoid.

The good:

Its reversible and the mechanism appears to be hearty.

Good leather and quality build.

Wider than most.

Sturdy buckle.

The bad:

Wider than most.

Buckle is heavy.

The ugly:

reversing mechanism can be fussy.

Over all a great buy and a good belt. - Leather Belt - Reversible - Belt - Columbia Belt 11co0221'

Field Hockey

It's pretty cute, but it definitely stretches out at the hips after wearing for 20 minutes or so. You end up pulling it up every ten minutes just to keep it covering your bum. Since it's very stretchy, it fits pretty much any inseam length, but if you're a 36" inseam you would probably have to force-stretch the legs and who wants to do that?! It's probably best suited for a 30" to 32" inseam. Un-stretched, the inseam measures 30". Vanilla Star Junior's Cargo Camo Pant,Olive,Small'

Hp - laptop battery, hp

Purchased this battery for $36 as a replacement battery for my HP notebook computer, G60 series. The battery fits perfectly, and charged up well. I ran the calibration for the battery after charging the battery a couple of times. The battery seems to hold a great charge, seemingly lasting as long as the original battery did when the computer was first purchased, providing at least 2 hours of use with moderate use when using the HP recommendation power settings.

I don't know that there was an issue, however, about a week after installing the battery, my HP Total Care Advisor indicated problems with the battery. I recalibrated, and all has been good, and have checked the battery several times since then.

I noticed the battery dropped to $29 about a week or so after I bought it, which makes it an even better deal. I was even tempted to purchase an additional battery for that price. If this battery is still going strong in a month, and the price is below $30, I will more than likely do this, as even at less than $70 for two batteries, it is a steal, as I expected to pay $50 - $75 for a replacement battery when my original started going bad.

As a prime member, my 2-day shipping came on schedule, and the battery was well packaged. UPDATE, April 19, 2011: It is about 3 months later (since I initially reviewed this product) and I am back to change my rating from 4 stars to only 1 star. Unfortunately, the battery will no longer hold a charge above about 1/3, even with recommended recalibrations. It worked well until about a week ago. It was about then that I also started noticing freezing issues with my laptop, requiring hard reboots (forced power downs). Maybe I simply got a dud; however, I will not be buying another one from the same vendor (Superb Choice); I'll be buying one from a difference vendor via "Amazon Fulfillment (LaptopMate)." I'll be back to append this review is the return does not go well.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

INITIAL REVIEW: I have not had any problems with this battery, except for one, minor glitch, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. My HP notebook did not readily acknowledge the new, non-HP battery at first. After a second reboot, it did. But then, a few days later when I ran the batter test program, it reported "Replace" in the condition results.

Having some experience with this type of thing in the past, I re-calibrated the battery, via allowing it to drain completely while using the notebook without A/C power, then using A/C power to recharge it completely. After running the battery test again, it reported "Good" for the condition.

Since then, several weeks ago, it has consistently reported the condition of the battery as "Good," and I have not had any issues. The charge lasts as long as the old HP (the one I replaced) battery did when the notebook was new.

My Girlfriend's laptop had a depleted 12 cell battery which could no longer hold a charge for longer than five minutes. It not only needed to be plugged in but weighted quite a bit making it not very portable. Getting a new battery made it easier to carry by lowering the weight and making it less cumbersome by not having the battery jut out of the laptop. The battery life is decent and I am glad my girlfriend isn't lugging such a heavy backpack around anymore. :)

I was totally dissatisfied with this battery and I had to return it. I tried it for 5 days. Every time I charged it to full, it would come to 20% in just 30 mins to an hour of normal use.

I must mention that Amazon's customer service was superb. I got the RMA online so easily. Return shipping was paid by Amazon. Just printed the label and sent it back, received refund within a day, no questions asked. Love amazon.

The battery works just fine. My computer will not recognize it though. Im not sure where the problem is but in order for the battery to charge, I have to plug the power cord in, remove the battery for a second and then put it back in. The laptop will charge the battery just fine after that.

Small price to pay for a cheap replacement battery I guess... I could have spent a whole lot more. - Hp - Laptop Battery'

Reconditioned Tools - floor nailer, cpo bostitch

I am a do-it-yourselfer who decided to put hardwood flooring in the living and dining rooms. Point one, I way underestimated how long it would take. I rented an air compressor and air assisted nailer from Home Depot for a total of $95 for one day and was disappointed in how little progress I made (it goes slower than you think).

For the price of renting a nailer for one day this side nailer is yours to keep forever, which means take as long as you want and don't worry about getting back to the rental store on time. Generally speaking a factory reconditioned unit is given a good quality check before it is released and I had only one problem with this tool and it was one I caused myself by double nailing in the same hole that caused a nail to jam in the chute. The plate and spring mechanism was easily taken apart, jam cleared and back to work. The jamming was my fault. The gun works smoothly, it comes with a hammer. There was one small nick on the one I received indicating it was previously used but at the price comparison of recon vs. new that was not an issue. Even if you are not sure what you are going to do with a side nailer in your tool collection after you have finished the flooring job, the price of buying factory recon vs. rental makes it worth while. Factory-Reconditioned Bostitch U/MFN200 Manual Flooring Cleat Nailer Kit

This item looked and performed like a brand new one. We had no problems using it. The metal side of the mallet is angled so that it is easy to tap the board into place without damaging the face. Hitting the plunger both drives a cleat and snugs the board up to the previous row. Even slightly curved boards straighten up without prying if you use a firm swing.

We installed about 1100 square foot of 3/4" cypress tongue and groove on our floor. This item was indispensable. We used cleats that we picked up at lowes for about $15 a box. We used 3 1/2 boxes of FLN200 qty 1000, placing a cleat at least every 8".

If you pull out the cleat feeder bar at the back of the tool, you an use the tool on the second row from the starting wall. (5.25 inch boards) The cleats are heavy enough to feed themselves. Because of the space needed to swing the mallet, I had to use a regular hammer and nails starting at the 2nd to last row.

The tool is symmetrical, so it works just as easily for lefties.

If you don't have the money for a pneumatic nailer, this is the way to go. I bought my tool new, but I've purchased reconditioned tools from Amazon and been very satisfied with the tool and the price. Far cheaper than renting (unless you have a very small job), and if your local rental place has a well-used tool this will work far better. One caveat: you have to be able to hit this thing HARD for it to work. Think about it- you're driving a spike flush with only one blow. That requires a certain amount of accuracy and a fair amount of force. And you have to be able to do it over, and over, and over ..... and over! Out in the open floor it's not bad, but working in close quarters or at a funny angle can be a challenge. And trying to hammer in a partly sunk asymetrical spike can be a nightmare. So, if you have some experience, a fair amount of upper body strength, and a willingness to break a sweat this is your tool. The rest of you may want to consider the merits of a pneumatic tool, or professional installation.

It was a complete waste of money for me. I couldn't drive a single nail fully using this nailer. No matter how hard I hit with the mallet, it never sets the nail in completely.

After trying it for couple of hours, decided to give up. I ended up renting a pneumatic nailer and compressor from the local rental place and that worked like a charm and was able to finish my floor installation very quickly.

I thought I was getting a bargain, but ended up with a $100 tool which doesn't work. I don't think I can return it, since it is past 30 days period.

Update (10/10): Customer service contacted me and let return the tool for full refund(even though it is past 30 days). Very impressed with the customer service quality.

The tolerances are too lose. Failing 20%. Many times it won't set the nails fully, there appears to be no adjustment(other than shiming the base). At times it drops 2 nails sending 1 almost correctly and the other thorough the corner of the board leaving it protuding half way. Not what I expect of Bostitich. I would have bought a cheap air-nailer if it was half this bad. (I didn't what to carry a compressor or hear it.)

I have used 3 air-nailers. The Porter Cable was the best.

One of the other reviews stated it was hard to use because 'you have to hit all in 1 shot everytime'. No, there is a ratch system. Apparently he didn't use it.

Last year it was $150 then $129 by Dec. Now $59 ??

First of all, mad props to Tool King, who totally handled the return of this tool quickly and professionally--you guys rock.

OK, now to the tool. I own several Bostich pneumatic power tools (roof nailer, frame nailer, trim nailer) which I bought partly for the reputation and partly for the 7 year warranty. I've been happy overall with those tools so I figured I couldn't go wrong with this basic, simple, man-powered tool. I mean, this technology is about is old as it gets: only one moving part in the entire tool and you bang it with a hammer to set the nail. I mean, COME ON--how do screw that up as a tool maker?

I'll tell you how--by using cheap, low-quality steel for the firing pin--which broke within two days of buying the tool. There's a thin piece of metal that the entire tool relies on to work--and that piece of metal snapped right in two with very little use. Of course, the tool was under warranty--but the closest service center was in DEERPARK, TX--30-40 miles from downtown Houston--one of the largest cities in the country. The part costs $5, but I didn't have the time or inclination to let me job grind to a halt while I went down there and had those guys order the part, etc.--so I went straight to Home Depot, rented the EXACT same tool, sent mine back to Tool King--and ALMOST finished my job (installing 1400 s.f. of white oak flooring) before the EXACT SAME PART broke on that tool--about two rows from the finish line. So, $85 in tool rental costs and two trips to Home Depot later, my job was done the Bostich floor nailer was on its way back to Tool King.

You know, I wish the propellerheads at Bostich would read these review and take them to heart. Because to save .10 on the manufacture of this tool they cost me a lot of time--and themselves the sale of a tool. If we can put a man on the moon Bostich should be able to make a f*@%#ing manual floor nailer that doesn't break so easily. It's gonna cost them a LOT more in the long run--in returned tools & warranty repairs--not to mention lost sales from disgruntled buyers... Get a clue, Bostich. - Hardwood Flooring Nailer - Cleat Nailer - Floor Nailer - Cpo Bostitch'

Htc Inspire Case

It actually arrived slightly broken on the top where I used the button to turn on my phone (HTC Inspire) the most often, and just fell apart from there. When I didn't need to use my phone, it looked great, held it in place, and didn't mess with the camera. After about a month, I splurged and ordered an Otterbox. Normally Amazon is great on super-steals, but this time I got what I paid for. At least I'm only down $4. HTC Inspire 4G Rubberized Shield Hard Case - Black (Free HandHelditems Sketch Universal Stylus Pen)

Exactly what I was looking for. Fits perfectly, feels great. It's not at rubbery as the OtterBox cases. Very firm with a slight rubbery feel. The case takes away the fragile feel of the phone and gives you a sense of being heavy-duty. Very much worth the price I paid of under $10 included shipping.

I used to own a Speck PixelSkin for my old phone. It looked great, would stand up to everything. Rubbery.

So I hesitated when I ordered this case - it was plasticy and stuff, and I didn't know if it would provide adequate protection.

Turns out it is much better than I thought...even better than the Pixelskin! It is made of plastic, it is non-slip (but not "rubberized"), and is light. It is way better than the rubbery cases because...it goes into your pocket easily without slipping.

Provides great protection.

Only problem I have is that this case was probably designed by the same guys making the Inspire battery covers. Exactly - it is impossible to get off (but insanely easy to get on for some reason). I don't see how one reviewer could have this case falling off...but it is just really hard to get off.

Looks good, works well, only problem is it can't come off! (Dang it!)

It worked fine and probably would continue working well for me but, i use my phone...

If you don't do much with it i bet it will last a while. but ever time i pressed the power button on top the case made a annoying rubbing sound.

Mine ended up breaking on the bottom part in my pocket.

Pro: fits the phone.

Cons: it's white plastic with black paint. Started peeling after one week, now plastic crumbles to pieces slowly, leaving one corner of the phone unprotected and no longer stays closed all around the phone. Thus just as good as nothing. Will need to by a new (different one) ASAP. Waste of time and money.

when i open the package, first disappointment, it lacks finishing

it looks like rubbered finish, but when handled feels more like plastic.

when fits to htc, it looks good.

overall average. and if u r rough user, this is not the product for u.

final: its an average product for the normal and smooth users.

When I decided to purchase this case I was considering the silicon case as well. I finally decided to go with the rubberized hard case. When I got the case it came in 2 pieces that snap together over the phone. The 2nd day it broke. I had the case on the phone and the phone fell from a 2 ft table and when the corner hit the floor the case cracked and a small piece broke away from the case. I then contacted the seller to ask if we can replace it. Never received a reply. If there is one positive it is the rubberized feel of the case was cool and didn't rub off as some cheaper models do.'

23 Gauge - 23 gauge, nail gun

this unit is fantastic and has almost no limitations. The ability to shoot 23g over 1/2 opens up trim options that we feared before ( the labor and aggravation of getting that perfect finish) ...not anymore...the gauge is so small it literally looks like a speck of dust on a the surface and with anything more than a mid finish is untraceable...pull out is a pain if you misfire but that's when cool heads and a pair of lineman's prevails...all in all a must have for finish work

PS: I almost forgot...be careful..this unit has a double trigger..that said once the triggers are armed its a free for all..no nose tip pressure needed to fire so be careful Grex P650L 23-Gauge 2-Inch Headless Pinner with Lock-Out

This is a little high for a pinner but worth it. The ability to use 2 inch pins is priceless. No need to fill the head marks. You can not see them. Grex is great quality also. I've had it for about two months. Just finished a bar project and used this exclusively.

I'm glad a friend of mine convinced me to try this pinner out for various trim and moulding projects I had around the house. Not only was the gun effortless and hassle free to use, the pinner leaves a hole so small that a dab of paint or caulking is all is needed to hide the pin. I've use this gun for over 100 hours without experiencing any jams. Air consumption was average, nothing my 8 gallon compressor couldn't handle. Just be sure to keep the PSI above 100 to ensure the pin has good penetration. One other useful feature is the ability to use 2-inch pins which is rare among pinners. I highly recommend this tool, especially if you can use this in lieu of an 18GA finish nailer.

This is an awesome nail gun. We have used and continue to use this gun for many projects throughout the house. It handles both big and small jobs with ease. It can do so many things. It is lightweight and so easy that anyone can use it. We used this for all of our crown moulding and it looks fantastic. You can't even see where the nails are. It holds up great and we have never had a problem with it. We have tried other guns only to have them jam up on us and not work. I definitely recommend this gun especially if you are a do-it- yourself-er. If you are looking for great reliable tools, Grex is the company to look for. They make lots of quality tools.

Why own multiple finish guns when you can use one gun to do it all. Accurate, reliable, delivers flawless performance. Yes you do get what you pay for. I use the P650 for all jobs. Crown molding, all finish trim, etc... even to tack 2X4s in place. Make sure you use Grex pins too.

I used this pinner with great results.

It hasn't jamed or mis-fired using the Grex 2" pins.

It's very hard to see the pin when shot into the wood and leaves no hammer marks.

I would highly recommend this Pinner to anyone that wants results with "guality" workmenship.

I have more then my fair share of nail guns including 2 headless pin nailers (Ridgid & Freeman). My only justification of why I purchased the Grex was because it shoots 2" pins. Before I was forced to use a brad nailer if i needed something longer then 1". The problem with a brad nail is that it has a head and leaves a fairly large hole. The Grex pins leave an almost microscopic hole. Most of the time I don't even have to fill the holes they are so small. The Ridgid and Freeman pin nailers worked ok. They would jam occasionally but the Grex has never jammed on me. I have put at least several thousand nails through the Grex with out a single hiccup. Just remember to put a few drops of oil in the air connection every time you use the gun to prolong the seals.

I had been looking at this tool for a long time at woodworking shows and was always amazed at the demonstrations of it's power and the ability to drive a 2" pin into hardwood. I've had the Accuset pinner for a long time but it will only drive a 1" pin, also a great tool. I took the plunge last year and bought the Grex 2" pinner because I had several trim jobs comming up. What a wonderful tool. It really does do all the things I'd seen in the demonstrations and does it quite well. I've used it to install 1/4 round over new tile and wood floors, cabinet trim of all types and even tried it on cove molding with great success. I'm sold on the tool and highly recommend it. Not one miss fire or problem in over a year of use.

I was in the market for a pin nailer and spent over a month researching... All the great reviews kept me coming back towards Grex (which by the way I never even heard of until I started looking for a pin nailer), but I was having bad sticker shock so I just kept looking.. I finally came to my senses and bought the gun (praying I'd get what I paid for)... The day very day it arrived (about 7 months now), it went right to the job site... It went right to work hanging cabinet crown molding and trim... I didn't have a single nail not sink all the way and not a single jamb... I started using it to install baseboard and had the same results (every nail sank and no jambs)... I've never had that with any of my other pin nailers... Its been 7 months now and this gun continues to work like the first day... The dry fire lock out is an absolute must for quality finish work and the ability to change out nail sizes without any adjusting on the gun is just a great bonus!!! I'm always sure to oil it after every job and try not to abuse it (mainly cause of the cost)... But without a doubt, I did get what I paid for and have been nothing but impressed with the quality and performance of this Grex tool... Too the point that just recently I needed a new palm nailer and when I saw that Grex made one, I didnt even hesitate this time(even though it cost about $50-$70 more than the competitors)... I'm confident it will be just as well built as the pin nailer... - Micro Pinner - 23 Gauge - Grex - Nail Gun'

Notebook Accessories - laptop holder, notebook cooler

Few things in life amaze me to the point to which i write a review but here geos: This is a long review but really worth reading explains everything.

I've had it for a week now and i just want to say it honestly exceeded my expectations. This thing works so well its unbeleivable, i thought it wouldn't really work but my previous laptop cooler broke down so i decided to try because i didn't wanna spend alot of money. This thing is just great lifes your laptop and makes it great for typing much more comfortable, i guarantee a 100% that your laptop will be much much cooler and all overheating problems will be eliminated. But you will have no heating problems if your fan just works properly. It lifts it up properly so it allows the air to be circulated. Just wanted to clarify what other low rating reviews failed to justify, yes this thing is tiny i mean i have a 17 inch laptop and i can pretty much tell you this thing isn't huge i would give it like 11 inches. But it is small for a reason it doesn't cover the fan vents which are under your laptop usually on the far left side, so the air will come out with no problems whatso ever. Second thing it is very safe it will hold your laptop up and it most definetly will not slip unless you positioned it wrong in the first place. Overall, exceeded my expectation for the price and i can tell from 2 years of experience with laptop coolers it works 10x times better.

This would make a really great purchase. Cool Lift

The product does work which is why I gave it a 3 but I do have some complaints...

1. If I didn't have a lap table with a lip on it the laptop could slip off of this item. I think it should be made out of rubber instead of the foam. Also, a lip on the bottom end of it would be much better.

2. The bottom of the product is smooth and could slide down a tilted table causing your laptop to crash to the floor. How likely, probably not very but your laptop could tumble. (Say if you had it on a lap table and bent down slightly to pick up a pencil... bye bye computer) I think using rubber and texturizing this product would help immensely with the slipage.

3. Definitely would not work for those that want to use their laptops directly on their laps.

4. I have a 15" laptop and it is quite a bit smaller than my laptop. Could be at least 4" wider.

5. Partially covers the one air vent on the bottom of my laptop.

The basic concept does work. So, it really is just a matter of I got what I paid for. Next time I'll pay a few extra bucks for a more detailed laptop lifter.

This product will help any person that works with a laptop on a desk. After about 15 minutes of your computer running you can defiantly feel the heat being radiated by your computer. Just like a car you do not want your computer over heating. This product lifts it off of your desk just enough to create circulation under your laptop. Another bonus is that it puts the key board of your laptop at a much more comfortable angle to type at. You simply cannot beat this for the price. It is a well justifiable purchase.

I had my doubts when I first bought one of these. But now I am hooked and have bought several to give away as present to friends and family who own laptops and it makes a huge difference. No more overheating! Absolutely worth it!

you have to position laptop just right to get any cooling from this pad. And even when in exact position you only get minimul cooling

my laptop fan still runs constant to cool so I have found a USB port Fan cooler is much better and not as loud as my laptop fan trying to cool itself all the time

Put your money toward a USP fan cooler instead

AFTER ABOUT 6 MONTHS this was awful - the "bumps" that are suppose to hold up your laptop were all smooshed down so no airflow at all - another item for the trash can :(

I bought this cooling pad for my mini HP netbook. Wow! It is the perfect size for my mini laptop and because of the foam material, my laptop sits secure and does not move while it sits on the pad. Would recommend this product to anyone who owns a mini laptop. I also like how lightweight it is. - Laptop Accessories - Notebook Cooler - Laptop Cooling Pad - Laptop Holder'

Iphone Headset Adapter - iphone headset adapter, headset

I purchased this Headset Buddy Adapter for my Motorola Droid. I already had a wired headset (one-ear) that I love, but it was a 2.5mm. This adapter lets me use the headset that I already own and prefer. I especially like the fact that the adapter consists of the 3.5mm jack, then some cable and then the adapter, which makes the whole assembly seem more natural. I would definitely recommend this for anyone one needing to convert a 2.5mm headset to a 3.5mm. Headset Buddy: 2.5mm Phone Headset to 3.5mm Adapter - Convert 2.5mm Headset to 3.5mm iPhone, Blackberry, Palm

I've bought quite a few 2.5 to 3.5 adapters that didn't work with my iPhone. I think the iPhone's 3.5 mm audio jack is less standard than one might think. I wouldn't be surprised if there were patents on the connector arrangements.

This one worked. It resembles an adapter I was able to buy 2 years ago that also worked. Like my old adapter this one feels a bit flimsy -- I suspect it's only good for about 8 months of heavy use. Since these adapters seem to come and go I suggest buying 2-3 at a time.

Update: I bought two more. All three of them work. I found an old adapter and these are substantially sturdier. So I'm giving it a full five star rating.

Not much to say, bought this for my HTC Incredible so I could use my wired earset I used and liked with my previous phone. It arrived in good packing but the adapter itself has a break in the wire. It appears to have never been used but I plugged it in and instantly noticed static if the wire moved at all and dropping the audio both from the receive and microphone.

I do not blame the seller as it appears to have never been used, just glad I bought a bluetooth in same order but I like to use wired when at home.

UPDATE:

In the comments to this post you will see a comment from a rep for the company and he does indeed work for them and have been in touch. They sent me a new adapter but I had the exact same trouble so I have suggested to them that perhaps it is something about how it connects in the incredible itself and not the adapter. I have since purchased earsets that work fine so it has to be something about the adapter, perhaps not ging deep enough into the jack.

I am most impressed with their eagerness to see a customer satisfied with their purchase.

The picture here shows a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter, with the 3.5mm end having 3-rings. This is a key feature, if you're hoping to use a 2.5mm headset with this adapter, the first two cover the headphones, the third is for the microphone.

My item arrived with only the first two. It was not as pictured and it essentially worthless junk.

This item was promptly shipped exactly as advertised and does work with my iPhone 3g. In my case the iPhone doesn't have quite enough power to properly drive the Plantronic headset I wanted to use (it does work but it is too quiet) but that's not the fault of this cable.

Purchased 2 of these for Droid. Connection is intermittent at best. I have a 3.5 corded headset so I was able to confirm that the Droid connection is not at fault. May work for the right connection/phone but not my Droid 2.

I'd had a Blackberry with a 2.5mm jack for years and finally upgraded to a samsung smartphone. I bought this little guy so I could use my existing headset with my new phone. It works perfect everytime. Sound quality is great. People hear me well. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

My first review of this product said "It sucked." Basically that I would give it 0 stars if I could. Then I got this email response to my review:

The Headset Buddy says:

"I am very sorry the headset adapter you purchased was not what you were expecting. This is because you inadvertently purchased a counterfeit adapter through an unauthorized vendor.

There are currently only two authorized Headset Buddy vendors on Amazon - our own company, Webko, as well as Ace Digital Photo. All other vendors on Amazon.com are unauthorized sellers selling inferior, knock-off products.

We are actively working to remove these fraudulent listings. Also, we would like make you this offer: We will provide you with the actual Headset Buddy adapter for free! We will pay shipping. In exchange, we ask that if you like our product you will remove your negative review and update with a positive review. If you want to accept our offer, please email your contact information and..."

So I sent them my info and got the new adapter a couple of days later. The difference was like day and night.

The first adapter came in a cheap plastic bag - the real Headset Buddy came in a plastic package like you'd see on a rack in the store.

The first adapter didn't work - the new one works great. The wire is twice as thick and where it connects to the jack is well reinforced.

I plugged the new adapter into my 3rd gen iPod and made a couple of skype calls with the new adapter. The calls were clear with no static even when I shook the iPod vigorously.

Bottom line, the seller on this item when I went to write this new review is a fraudulent seller. Beware. If it doesn't say Webko above the picture, it's a ripoff. Click on more sellers and select Webko for the real item. I don't understand why Amazon allows this to happen. - Iphone - Accessories - Headset - Iphone Headset Adapter'

Multipurpose Paper - copy, good price

Turns out that shipping 26 lbs of paper in a thin cardboard box is somewhat problamatic. Ours arrived with the top busted off and the box taped back together by the shipping company. I assume this happened because the box was being handled individually and tossed from station to station by the shipping personnel and equipment. 26lbs of paper has a lot of momentum and that is a pretty thin cardboard box. So the top split open and spilled the contents. That box was meant to be shipped on a pallet not individually. The top 10-15% of paper was all dishuffled and wrinkled. We kept the box as I didn't want to hassle with returning it but I think I'll go back to picking up a case at the local Office[Depot/Max].The cost is about the same and I will get the paper intact. HP Office Quickpack Paper, 92 Brightness, 8.5 x 11 Inches, 2500 Sheets (11210-3)

While the price is right on this box of loose paper, it is has a major shortcoming: it is very flimsy. Usually, I buy 24lb paper, and I didn't realize the plunge from 24 to 20 would be so drastic, but it is. So, I just use this paper as draft paper, and when I need to print out an essay for college etc., I pop in the 24 lb paper.

I gave 5 stars because it is not HP's fault that I didn't know the drastic difference in paper weight etc. In the end, paper is paper!

I've ordered hundreds of items from Amazon over the years and have come to depend on their packaging to protect my items -- I've been very satisfied until I ordered this HP Office paper Quickpack. They just slapped a label and an invoice on the book and shipped it. The cardboard is thin (THIS IS NOT A SHIPPING BOX!!) and inside this thin layer of cardboard is just one big stack of 2500 individual sheets -- not a collection of wrapped 500 sheet reams.

I see from other reviews that I am not the only one to have had this problem. Personally I submitted a packaging review along with photos -- I hope that others will do the same.

I do not know how they decide on type of packaging, but I think that unless a box is clearly a shipping box - which this one clearly is not designed to be, it should be protected inside a proper shipping box. AMAZON -- you "dropped the ball" on this one.

HP Office Quickpack Paper, 92 Brightness, 8.5 x 11 Inches, 2500 Sheets (11210-3)

I love these 2500 paper packs. I don't know why some reviews have has an issue with the paper quality; this is standard quality laser printer paper in a standard brightness level. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the product, and prints on it turn out beautiful in both black-and-white as well as color. The carton is now shipping nested in a larger, thicker brown cardboard box, so shipping problems described by other reviewers are a thing of the past (at least those caused by shipping the paper without proper protection). When Amazon puts these cartons on sale, they're much cheaper than buying a ream of individually wrapped paper like you get at an office big-box store. This is standard (and by standard I mean excellent) quality printing paper at a great price. You can't go wrong here.

The easy to open box without internal wrappers seems like a great idea except Amazon ships the box without an outer-box, so the box that you are stuck with is covered in grime and dirt when it arrives. If Amazon would ship the box within another box to protect it from damage and dirt, this product would be a great idea. Now I am stuck with a 2500 sheet box of paper that is dented, torn, dusty, and partially covered in an unknown sticky black residue.

I bought the HP 11210 box specifically because I hate unwrapping reams of paper. It's wasteful and I find it depressing. The HP 20' paper is fine - it's very white, thin and lightweight. It doesn't cause jams and it takes the toner nice and tight. All in all this is fine everyday laser printer paper in an inexpensive and convenient form. - Multipurpose Paper White - Good Price - Copy - Paper'

Cuisinart Bread Machine - bread, gluten free bread

I bought this breadmaker for my wife for Christmas. She uses it at least twice a week, and so far has truly loved it. She likes making beer bread and cinnamon raisin bread, and every loaf she's made has been big, aromatic, and absolutely delicious. Have you ever looked for Texas toast to make that killer French Toast for breakfast? This machine - which makes some substantial 2-pound loaves, is the perfect thing for 'em.

Personally, I might add that if you buy one of these machines, you may never need another air freshener. I love the smell of baking bread!

I chose the Cuisinart CBK-200 because I've purchased several Cuisinart products and I've been very impressed with all of them. It's a solidly constructed piece, wieghty, and good-looking on the counter. After looking at so many of the other breadmakers in local stores, I got the feeling of plasticky engineering, and envisioned them lasting an amount of time not worth the $50 or $60-something dollars they were asking. I also envisioned smaller loaves, noisy breadmakers which shifted around on the counter. I admit this is all speculation, but these are real concerns we all have, and we speculate because we want to make the best decision we can. In the end, I feel very satisfied with the choice I made, and more importantly, my wife is thrilled with it.

A previous reviewer mentioned the only downfall to the machine is that you can't change some of the options mid-cycle. This is true, but I got the feeling that reviewer was as expert a bread-maker as one could be! My wife loves baking, but I think even at two or three loaves a week for the next five years, she's not going to have that reviewer's expertise to make those mid-cycle decisions. Actually, if my wife is accustomed to this machine, then I think those decisions might be made before the process even begins, knowing how the machine operates. That said, I think the reviewer was probably correct for upper-echelon bread chefs, and those with that kind of experience might want to go with a $300+ machine.

For the price, which was just under $100 at the time of my purchase, my wife and I are thrilled with what we've gotten back. We're both convinced that the convection oven aspect of the machine only adds to the thoroughness of the baking. She reports that the crusts come out exactly how you want them to, and I know that's important to her! And the bread is scrumptious. The only thing I wish it would do is cut the bread, too!

In summation, we're very satisfied with this purchase, and most of my satisfaction comes from my wife's happiness with it. The Cuisinart CBK-200 may be $30 or so more than other bread makers, but with that investment, you get repeated satisfaction that those dollars were very, very well spent.

I am an experienced bread baker (with and without machines) and this is my third bread machine. It kneads better than others I have had BY FAR. This machine makes excellent bread, but there is one big problem. You cannot cancel mid-cycle to start a different process if you like. As an experienced baker, I like to tweak my loaves by using various different risings, etc., but I can't do that with this machine because once you start a cycle you are committed. Even if you turn the blasted thing off, it does not reset. Other machines allow more flexibility for experienced bakers. This machine does come with an excellent cookbook, and seems easy to operate. I can't explain the negative reviews, except to say perhaps they got a defective machine. This one does not budge on the counter like other machines I've had, either. I have used the dough cycle and have baked in the machine - each time with excellent results. I do recommend that those who are having trouble make sure they are using the proper flour and yeast - see King Arthur Flour company web site for lots of info!

I spent many hours reading the reviews on the Cuisinart, the Breadman and the Zoji. I was hesitant to buy this machine because of all the negativity, but in the end I wanted 1)the low carb cycle, 2)the beep to remove paddle, 3)the horizontal loaf, 4)the jam cycle, 4) the pause option, 5)the power failure backup and 6)I really like the convection fan idea. I bought the machine at Amazon knowing their exchange policy was good, and waited before sending the warranty card.

Now I have 4 weeks of busy holiday baking to report and the results are wonderful! I am so happy! I love being able to remove the paddle and lose that hole. I can only assume that Cuisinart's quality control has not been up to par and that I was lucky enough to get a one of a good batch.

There have been some disappointments. The LowCarb cycle was a total failure with my own recipes and the Cuisinart recipes didn't meet MY definition of low carb. However my own recipes (from Dana Carpender's 500 Low Carb Recipes)come out perfectly on the whole wheat light or medium settings. The Pumpernickel was to-die-for.

I also use the Jam setting frequently to make sugar-free jam and cranberry sauce. The first batch was a hit as far as taste and consistency of the sauce, but a disaster in terms of cleaning up the machine afterwards. Cranberries had flown all over in the first 10 minutes or so and burned on the heating elements. The second time, I covered the pan with a 10 inch square hot pad of silicone able to withstand 550 degrees, held in place by the handle. It worked perfectly. I leave it on until the second phase when the paddle goes more slowly and berries aren't flying anymore.

I was also helped enormously by the Bread Machine Magic books, which recommend checking on the bread at the early stages and adding more flour or liquid as needed to get a nice loaf. I have used this several times, and it has definitely reduced my failures to zero.

I'm looking forward to trying the artisan bread cycles, and to many more loaves of Pumpernickel and Whole Wheat low carb bread.

I have heard no clunking noises, had no burned bread. I would give it 5 stars after 6 months of trouble free operation. - Gluten Free Bread - Bread Baking - Gluten Free - Cuisinart Bread Machine - Bread - Cuisinart'
