Electric Snow Thrower - electric snow thrower, snow thrower
If you go to Target, Home Depot or any of the other big chains that sell the Toro Electric Shovel you will probably find the same thing that I did...that it is SOLD OUT. Why? Because this is one of the most helpful tools to have ever been placed on the market.
It works fairly well on small driveways; don't forget to pick up a nice long outdoor-use electric extension cord. And use this only on paved surfaces...no loose gravel!
But the real benefit of this tool comes with walkways and DECKS.
If you've got a large driveway, pass on this and go for something with a little more power. If you've got a decent size walkway, you'll love this. It clears the snow with ease and it will last forever; my father-in-law has had his since the early 90s.
If you have a deck with a railing, and your deck isn't covered so it builds up with snow, the Toro Electric Shovel will become your best winter friend. The snow is propelled a good 25 feet and easily clears deck railings. Just don't shoot the snow into the wind (duh). No more throwing out your back from lifting heavy snow over railings with this baby.
No matter where you use this...a word of advice: Try not to let the snow get deeper than about 6". Yes, that means you might have to go out a couple of times. But c'mon...it's fun! The Toro still works in deep snow, but it really isn't designed for it. Any deeper than about 6" and you'll need to "shave the top of the snow accumulation," and you might as well not have the electric shovel for the effort that takes.
Happy snow season! Toro 38361 Power Shovel 7.5 Amp Electric Snow Thrower
This is review written with Montana winter experience.
The reviews were generally good with this item so I bought one, mainly for the convenience of easily cleaning the drawbridge, walkways, entry, and in front of my garage without a shovel.
This device is pre-assembled, easily carried, easy to use, fast, quiet, and very user friendly. The only drawback is not with the machine; it is getting a low temperature cord that remains flexible in the cold. I suggest the yellow Solar cord that is good to about -50 offered through Amazon. To keep the cord out of the way always completely clean the area closest to the electrical outlet and progress forward; do not go way forward and back-track. I use it like I use a vacuum.
Overall excellent!! It takes the snow right down to the ground and even gets the hard compacted snow from where the cars enter the garage without a problem. Very fast, and you can easily change the length of the shaft so you do not have to bend over. The blade is plastic but seems very durable; it has run into some small objects, plant edges, and small rocks and I notice no wear after several uses. My wife is happy to not shovel, and it is easy on her bad back, and mine.
I give it 5 stars easily, and and am buying one for the office with a low temp. 100 ft. cord. So far I highly recommend this device for the easily accessable areas of traffic when you don't want to haul out the gas driven blowers, or shovel, or snow plow. It will even tackle drifts with ease if you take your time and start waving it across the top. It is fast and simple to use. The Broom model is more expensive but is only needed if you decide to change the blade and use it for summer-time dirt blowing. This model is a great one for just snow and is at a great price. Don't expect it to be durable for heavy slush, ice, deep snow, or large areas like driveways.
Hope this helps.
Update 12-29-07
Excellent overall and still worth 5 stars and the price! I have used it many times now and it has always been very easy to use, even with crusty snow or over 6 inches. I recently returned from holiday vacation and found snow had fallen, melted, frozen, and new snow was on top. It worked as well down to the ground as with light snow and I was finished quickly without working up a sweat, straining my back, or heart, like chipping away with a shovel would. Nice product that sure makes living in snow country easier. A low temperature power cord is a must.
Update 12-21-08:
Still working great, even in -20 degree weather. I highly recommend this product, as well as the Sno-Wovel for deep snow and no back strain.
This is a great product that I've used for the last 4 heavy Minnesota snowfalls. Here are some basic notes:
1)It works best in wetter snow. That snow that is heavy to lift and push with a traditional shovel is where this product shines.
2)It works OK in drier snow. Make sure you know which way the wind is blowing as even a tiny breeze can blow it right back into your face as this only shoots the snow in the direction it's pointed (vs a tradional snowblower).
3)You'll need a good extension cord. This unit has a snag which holds the cord in place and actually is quite good. However, dealing with an extension cord means that you'll have to do a little bit of pre-planning as for a route. You don't want to shovel over the cord, nor do you want to face the wind, nor do you want the cord dragging through the snow and causing more of a mess. After a couple uses, I got the hang of it.
4)This is a kid friendly product (with supervision, of course). Our 7 year old girl and 9 year old boy wanted to try it out and they had little problem holding both buttons and cleaning the sidewalk.
5)The best way I've found to use this product is to use it as a vacuum cleaner. Short strokes forward and then side to side due to the fact that it shoots the snow forward.
6)Best of both worlds when it comes to stairs, an easy lift and blow.
7)I called this a shovel enhancer as there's one part where it just doesn't work that well. You know when you've just been dumped upon by the snow gods and you have lots of foot or car traffic? That part of the snow where it's compacted and becomes that horrible ice? That's where you'll still need an ol' fashioned shovel as this one doesn't do much.
All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase. We live on a corner lot and it has a lot of sidewalk and a smallish driveway. Last year, my back was aching after shoveling, but this power shovel has helped in getting the job done without that pain. If there were a wider version sold by Toro (let's say 2 feet) that didn't signifcantly increase weight, I would upgrade immediately. Other than that, this is a great, surprisingly solid, device. - Electric Snow Blower - Snow Thrower - Electric Snow Thrower - Power Shovel'

Hex Bit Set - bosch, drill bits
All the screw driver bits are Phillips size 2. It would have been better had they included a couple of different sizes and a regular flat blade. I also have had a problem with the Impact Ready Pivoting Bit Tip Holder snapping in two. I have been able to get it back together, but it has happened more then once. All other bits work well. DEWALT DW2169 38-Piece Impact Driver Ready Accessory Set
Dewalt sells another "Impact Ready" kit with more variety, but lacks the 1/4-3/8 drive for sockets. Thus, forcing you to buy both kits. The pivot drive probably won't be as useful as Dewalt markets it to be, and having a case full of #2 bits isn't going to get me very far when I need to drop down cement board or decking using square drives. I've been using Bosch philips bits with my Makita impact and they've held up perfectly, so I really wanted this more for the 1/4-3/8 drive and sockets.
I was ready to pick up one of these at a woodworking show. Then I noted that all the screwdriver bits are Phillips. What's with that? I work on furniture and almost all my screws are Robertson (no, I am not Canadian). Anyone wanting to use an impact driver would, I think, prefer Robertson or Torx over Phillips bits that were originally designed to cam out under too much torque. I'd happily buy one of these sets if they had a choice of bits other than a Hobson's choice.
Very handy kit. I would love to see one with either more variety of bits or without the phillips bits at all (for a lesser price). The nut drivers, sockets, swivel, and 3/8 socket adapter are worth the price of admission as is, so I consider the huge number of #2 philips bits a free bonus. With square head and torqs bits gaining popularity, especially with decking, it would have been nice to see them included, and would have made this an easy 5 star. Great kit though.
As for the swivel coming apart, you can't run it while pushing it hard against it's maximum angle or the impact will pull it apart. That's common sense to anyone with an understanding of how swivels work, but I guess the "impact ready" name makes some people think they are indestructible. It's a tool, if used properly it will work great for you.
Compared to the mikita and the milwaukee set, this one wins out hands down. You get a 3/8 socket adapter vs 1/4" and the tools seem to be of much higher quality. They give you drill bits, but that's really not the realm of the impact driver, so their omission is understandable.
I first saw this product on a television coverage of the 2008 tool expo on HGTV. A dewalt rep was showing off the benefits of the new bit designs and angled driver. These accessories are designed for impact drivers that have the collet lock for the bit rather than a chuck. They are also hardened to stand up to high torques that impact drivers generate. I have been real happy with these and whole heartedly recommend them if you own an impact driver and have been looking for a set of good bits for it. The cases are typical of dewalt and works well.
Combined with my DeWalt impact driver, the angle driver in this set has gotten me out of some serious tight jams while driving countersunk self-drilling wood screws. It is GREAT. The rest of the set is an excellent compliment to the angle driver, especially the sockets & adapters.
If you're a pro, get a spare angle-driver - you won't want to be without one if you ever lose or break it.
I have been very happy with this set. It comes with plenty of bits and the sockets which are handy. I haven't broken any bits with my impact driver yet but there are extras of the more heavily used ones so that is nice. The case is nice and holds things in place, unlike the makita set I also bought which eventually allows things to come loose and then fall out when you open it. Overall a nice set for the money. - Drill Bits - Driver - Bosch - Hex Bit Set'

Macbook Pro - clearguard, keyboard cover
Pros-
-VERY thin, I hardly notice that it's installed. Unlike those silicone covers.
-Keyboard lights up clearly, doesn't impede the light at all.
-Takes 2 minutes to get used to. It definitely doesn't feel like a bare keyboard but it doesn't feel like it's a covered keyboard either.
Cons-
-Kinda pricey for a very thin piece of industrial plastic. The price might be high due to the fact that its molded SPECIFICALLY for macbook keyboards. Because it's an EXACT fit.
-DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT fold or crush this cover. keep the original box if you need to store it away. Unlike silicon this product WILL WRINKLE. I decided to clean mine because it does feel sticky after long term use. I cleaned it with soap and water and i decided to WRING it out. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE. the product had wrinkles that would not disappear. I was too cheap to buy a new one so i have to live with annoying wrinkles.
Other than that..this is hands down the best keyboard cover for macs out there and not a lot of people know about it. moshi ClearGuard MB Keyboard Cover for MacBook/Pro/Air
I got one to try after three or so months of using a standard silicone cover that included the palm guard, so this is a direct pro/con of the two different ones.
First, this one is much easier to type on. Not that it was difficult to type on the other, you just had to be a little more deliberate. Really the only trouble I had typing consistently was my password, which is 15 characters, and I can type it instantly on a normal keyboard, but moving that fast on the silicone sometimes didn't quite let the characters register right. The other downside to the full silicone one was that it didn't fit very well - the silicone hung over the sides and front, so it was easy to catch while moving my hands around, or my sleeves would lift the edge enough to make it start rolling up under me. And since I do touch type, sometimes the little bit of stick of the palms on the palmguard part of the silicone would keep the hand from moving quite where I wanted it to be. I adapted to it within a few days, and for the last three plus months I've used it, but now having used this moshi one, I wish I had switched sooner.
This one, being thinner, is obviously going to feel better than the thicker silicone one, but I wasn't quite ready for how unobtrusive this would feel now. It's almost completely unnoticable.
The lights shine through it well, much better than the thicker silicone one. I pulled half of that one off the other night and was shocked at how they keyboard looked lit up without it. I had forgotten how nice the keyboard can look.
These keyboard covers are a necessity for me since I use the notebook so much - my keyboards never last more than a week without becoming ugly from some of the keys becoming so smooth. Granted, these won't obviate that completely, but they will slow it down, and after 3 months, my keyboard is not shiny at all, where normally i can't get 10 days with the keys no longer looking this well.
Now that I don't have the thicker silicone overhanging the sides, the lid closes better as well, even with my shaggymac on top of the keys to keep the screen from getting marked up.
I am very happy with this product. I've seen people talk about the fit being "perfect" and mine certainly is not, but the only keys that didn't get covered almost spot on were all the function keys across the top. I'm kind of waiting to see if things fit themselves over use, if it conforms a little better where it didn't fit out of the box, but it's off only enough to keep the cover from sitting flat across the very top, so it doesn't interfere with my typing at all.
Would definitely get this again, and will replace it whenever it needs to be replaced...
Edit: In July, finally am replacing this. Mine got some discoloration on a few of the keys where heat builds up, and the rest of it was getting pretty worn (I use my macbook for work and personal so i'm on it most of the day). NOT a detraction at all from the item, it lasted this long with my keyboarding, it clearly is an outstanding product. But time to get a nice clean, clear one again.
I bought this for my 2.0GHz Unibody Mac. I have been using it for a week now. My thoughts:
> It is NOT a perfect fit. But close enough. Does not fit perfectly near the function keys. But where you'd hit the keys frequently - i.e the letters and the space bar, it fits well.
> Takes a while to get used to because if you push your finger over a key, chances are the CG will flip momentarily.
> Does not stick to the aluminum surface. Which is good and bad. Good because it doesn't leave any sticky residue and can be cleaned. Bad because it flips like mentioned earlier. Because it is so easy to flip, I am not sure how protective it can be against liquid spills.
> Have not noticed any heat issues so far.
> Muffles sound when you type, which is a good side effect.
> Is very clear. The silicone feels high quality. But I think it is over priced.
And yea, it does protect your key board from dust. - Keyboard Cover - Clearguard - Moshi - Macbook Pro'

Digital Camera Memory Card - card case, memory card wallet
I have had this case for over a year, and have enough SD cards to fill all 8 slots. It does a good job of protecting the cards once I have closed the case. The problem is that when I open the case, the cards fall out of their spaces. I'm not an overly violent or strong person, and I don't feel that I am being too rough with it. I just have to be very careful when, where and how I open it. Lowepro PixelPak V1 Accessory Case (Silver)
I would not recommend this case. While it has a hard shell, the disks come loose and jostle around inside. The hard rubber is too hard to hold onto the disks. If they had used soft rubber or even a pill pack type material it would have been better. This is going back to amazon. So what if the cards are protected from external forces if they are subject to internal ones that can be as bad.
This case is very strong, very solid. The eight SD cards are held in place by a rubber insert. No problems with them coming out or getting crushed. The case is only slightly smaller than my Palm TX so don't think you are going to carry them together, but if you are like me and have several games plus several memory cards, this is definately the way to go.
This case is a good way to loose an expensive 32GB SD card! Recently took this on a trip and was sitting in business class, so plenty or room, yet upon opening the case every card inside fell out. One of the cards got stuck in a crevice and was ruined upon pulling it out (doesn't work anymore). It was class 10 too. So bad luck or whatever, cards should not be falling out of the case when you open it. The whole point is to keep cards secure, isn't it?
This problem also ruins this case from being any kind of organizer. If you were thinking (as I did) you would put cards in order so that you remember which card has what content on it, forget that. Since the cards don't stay in the slots, all order will be mixed up.
Lowepro, a trusted name in camera equipment/accessories, failed pretty bad with this. Avoid and find a better product.
This is great. It comes ready to hold 8 SD Cards. You can fit 4 on each side of the case. In place of SD Cards you can put picture xD cards (like in the photo), but I don't have any of those. Under each SD card you can fit a miniSD card. I only have 1 microSD to mini adapter, but it fits. I was also able to put 5 microSD cards under a SD card, but there is nothing to hold them from sliding around, but it works and the SD card hold them from falling out. I think six would fit, but I only have 5, that means you could fit like 24 microSD cards under the 4 SD slots, x 2 if you use both sides. My problem is I have 10 SD cards. There also included is another rubber insert. You can pull either of the two SD inserts out and stick this one in. It was meant to hold a PCMCIA size card for a notebook. I don't have one of those, but was able to place either 2 CF cards or 1 CF card and 4 SD cards, or 8 SD cards (double stacked) and my microSD to USB adapter in this space. Again they are loose and can slide around some, but it functions. You just need to be careful when opening using this way so your cards to not fall all on the floor, but this is easy too. One side is black, the bottom, and the top is silver/aluminum. Just place the black side down on desk, then open and the loose cards will not fall out. If you really wanted too you could pull the rubber insert completely out, I was able to fit 6 SD cards flat that way and then stack 'em 3 high so 18 could be fit in the space, I just wanted too see if it could be done, I don;t have that many but I do have enough to have to use the PCMCIA size insert on one side and a 4 SD insert on the other. I do not mind too much, I could leave 2 SD cards behind but its nice to have my whole collection. You can only fit the loose cards on one side, otherwise they would fall out when opening. Now when I travel I can carry all my media cards for my cell phones and my digital camera, plus media adapters in case I need them and they will all be in one place and not easily lost in some pocket somewhere or the bottom of the suitcase. The color is nice, in this case it matches my Centro which is black and silver. It is about the same size, same thickness, a little shorter and a little wider but it looks like it came with the phone.
LIKES: Well-made, hard shell case keeps small memory cards from getting lost
DISLIKES: Rubber inserts are size-specific to mini-cards and will not accomodate larger SD cards. I had to remove the rubber molding and just lay my SDs loose in the case. I would have preferred that the rubber slots offer more size variety so that cards could be held stationery.
This is an okay case. I ordered this and the Pelican version at the same time. This case latches, but is easily/accidentally unlatched. It is loose when closed, gaps around the rim where it should be flush. The product description says it has a "translucent" bottom case, so that you can put your business card there, have it be visible. It is possible to place a business card between the liner and the case, but the plastic is smokey dark, only translucent if you shine a bright light thru it. I put a card there, it is unreadable, and barely even noticeable. The product description should be corrected. It was on sale for about 7 bucks, and it will get some use, maybe for storing extra cards at home. But for travel and weather and usage in the go-bag, the pelican version is the one I will use. - Sd Case - Digital Camera Memory Card - Memory Card Wallet - Card Case'

Canon I960 Ink - i9900, ink
Although lower cost substitute ink cartridges are sold all over the web, and on this site as well, the few bucks you might save aren't worth the all-too genuine risks of replacing with generic "no-name" ink tanks. I've heard (but wouldn't wish to try it, frankly) that generic inks fade faster when exposed to daylight, could clog the print-head spray nozzles, don't spread properly on top-quality paper, and simply can't compare with the uniquely formulated dyes that have been specially researched for your printer and its matching photo papers. The one exception might be if you use a black-ink-only inkjet [hard to imagine anyone could screw up black ink]. Even so, considering the low cost and remarkable longevity, I'd still stick with the Canon product, if only to match the other colors. I concur that printer manufacturers use that old hoary "razor trick" (give away the razor, profit on the blades), but with Canon's individual ink tanks -- where you replace only those tanks that run dry, you aren't out a lot. My Canon photo printer uses an array of six ink tank colors. Of these six tanks (all available on this site), 'photo cyan' and 'photo magenta' seem to be used up 2 to 3 times faster than 'black'. In other words, rather than replacing an entire set of six ink tanks, you can replace just those tanks that run empty the soonest -- thus not having to toss out a 3-ink tank [as used by HP] where 2 of the 3 remaining inks still are far from used up. Just a word of caution here - make certain that every cartridge you order from Amazon clearly states its eligibility for SuperSaver shipping. If you have to add shipping charges to this low-cost item, you could end up paying more than you would have at the local office supply store. Canon BCI-6BK Black Ink Tank
i used canon ink and then decided to try one of the cheap imitations. it worked well for a few months and then my photos came out of my canon i900d with color changes. after 3 conversations with canon customer care, we decided it was not the printer, but the cheaper ink. i switched back to canon, bit the bullet on the price, and everything is fine. i found decent prices on amazon, particularly at eek industries.
I am in love with my new Canon Pixma MP760! I specifically got a Canon because of the separate ink tanks. The full page prints are wonderful and it doesn't use as much ink as I assumed it would; and that's a good thing considering how long it takes to receive your shipment. Amazon has some of the best pricing on the web-but watch out...Free Shipping = SLOW Shipping. Order these a month in advance-it will take that long to see them. 'Available in 24 hours'...maybe, but keep in mind that 'available' has nothing to do with 'ship'. A few days difference, no problem. But weeks? Come on.
Confessions of a cheapo. I used 2nd market replacement inks. They did print o.k. However, the bottom line, they eventuality cause the "seating prongs" on the print head to break. So,my lesson, use the OEM inks, along with Canon paper to provide the best prevention to fading, bleed and create the best tones. The end.
I am very pleased with the price and quality of the Canon inks I've purchased here. Same brand as the retailers, but about $5-$7 cheaper! After trying several generic inks from other online discounters, I've learned that they fade quickly. Now I only buy the Canon inks, but they're expensive at your local retailers. Amazon saved me $$$!
Why risk damaging your expensive printer using cheap generic's?
I only buy Genuine Canon Brand Ink for my printer. Yes it costs a lot more then the generic but I don't want to have to replace my print head repeatedly because of it.
I concur with others who warn of using off-brand inks and toners. They can even damage your printer. On the other hand, I purchased this 8 months ago and since then the shipping cost has ballooned 800%. There is no reason to pay $7.50 to ship this item. The price here may seem great but factor in the shipping cost in your decision. - I9900 - Ink - Ink Cartridge - Printer Ink'

Otterbox Commuter - commuter, iphone 4 cover
You can see my other reviews to know that I buy A LOT of cases - it has became an addiction of sorts. With that said, I have often found Otterbox products to be the best of the best. (See my 5 star Otterbox iPhone 4 Defender review for proof!)
I received this item last Monday and I was anxiously awaiting installing it and giving it a go. Unfortunately my excitement quickly subsided. I hate to sound negative but this case leaves a lot to be desired. Below I will give you my unbiased thoughts on the case and its pros/cons.
Pros:
Much thinner than the Defender case
All ports are easily accessible
Lightweight
Cons:
The screen protector that it comes with is very sub-par, I've purchased several screen protectors in the past for both my iPhone(s) and other models, the one that came with the Otterbox ranks near (or at) the bottom of the list as far as quality build and ease of installation in avoiding air bubbles etc.
The case doesn't quite fit "right" sometimes the silicon case will come loose from around the lip of the phone and it will in turn cause the polycarbonate shell to shift and not only fit awkward but look horrible as well.
The cover for the audio out jack (headphone jack etc.) should have been designed better. It often protrudes from the case and just looks awkward.
In conclusion I would state that though the case isn't the worse (and 2 stars may be harsh) due to the price and quality expected from Otterbox it came up well short of expectations.
I will try to post pictures later showing this case next to a bare iPhone 4 and also next to the Defender case. OtterBox Commuter Series Hybrid Case for AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4 (White/Black)
Hi, I just got this case yesterday. It's the third one I've tried with my iPhone 4. Otterbox makes fine cases so I expected something nice and was not disappointed. I also had the Commuter and Defender cases for my iPhone 3Gs.
Here are some notes for you:
- The case provides the best protection of the three I've tried. The Apple bumper case is nice but the open back leaves a lot of glass exposed. This one gets the job done while not being too bulky.
- Compared to the iPhone 3Gs Commuter case this one exposes more of the hard plastic surface and less of the rubber. The plastic is textured nicely so gripping is still secure. In all fairness I think I do prefer the design of the 3G/3Gs version.
- The phone will connect (Yeah!) to my Magellan car mount and B&W speakers with this case. It would not connect with the thicker Apple bumper case. I'm also able to get other cables to connect to it that would not connect with the bumper case. The opening for the thirty pin connector is larger on the Otterbox case.
- Putting the screen protector on can be frustrating but I was mostly successful this time. Dust must be avoided at all cost while applying it. Hey Intel, can I use your clean room for a few minutes?
It's a good compromise between protection and bulk. If you had the 3G version you might be a little disappointed because the fit on this one doesn't seem quite as good.
Update (9/2/2010): The reviewer(s) that said the case can be uncomfortable on your ear while making calls was right. If you make a lot of calls this could be rather annoying. I'll post a picture or two of the offending sharp edge. I filed the edge on mine with my Leatherman to smooth it out. That helped a lot.
Regards,
John
This case exceeded my expectations i had after reading some of these peoples reviews. First of all, the fit is perfect. i dont know if maybe some of these people didnt put it on right (it takes a while to get it right) but mine fits snugly.second, It does not feel cheap. The plastic is not very thick but it doesnt need to be thick to protect, it is only there to hold the shape of the silicone. It is the perfect balance of protection and bulkiness.. I had a defender series for my 3gs and that thing felt like a brick.. this one feels just right, not to mention its a lot cheaper than the defender. If youre gonna be rock climbing or working at construction site, then theres no reson why you would want the defender over this case. The screen protector is pretty cool, i dont really see the point of it because the case sits in such way that your screen will not get scratched. i still put mine on and cant even tell its there.. I would highly recomend this case, and no i dont work for otterbox, im just a regular guy that really liked this product and i dont think the reviews on it are very accurate. Thanks!
Sadly, this is the first review I've written, because I've had such a bad experience with this case. I'm a big OtterBox fan, I had a Commuter on my previous 3GS, and a Defender for my old 3G which is now on my wife's S. Both of those cases are great and I don't have a negative thing to say about them.
I had such a good experience with the previous version of the Commuter, that I got one for my Iphone 4. Unlike other reviewers, I think the screen protector is great, the only reason I gave this case 2 stars instead of one. I've had several screen protectors in the past, and they've mostly been all the same. The OtterBox protector seems to be of higher quality, and its the first case I've gotten on with absolutely no bubbles. Also, while trying to get the bubbles out on other protectors, you end up scratching the protector with the credit card. OtterBox solved that issue by putting an extra layer on the protector, and once you have worked all the bubbles out, you peel off the outer layer, leaving a pristine screen protector. I honestly can't tell that it's even there. Unfortunately that's where the good stops.
The silicone on the Iphone 4 commuter seems cheap, and doesn't fit the phone as well as in previous versions. The corners and parts that aren't covered by the outer shell constantly move and don't hug the phone as tightly as on the last version.
The hard protective shell is a complete failure on my case. When you initially take it out of the case, you can tell that the plastic is of cheaper construction than previous models. It is significantly thinner than the last, which is nice from a size perspective, but it just feels cheap in your hands, like it is going to break at the slightest stress. Also, the worst thing about mine is that it just doesn't fit the phone. It is too big for the phone, leaving gaps around all 4 sides. On 2 sides, the gap is small enough as to be almost not noticeable, but on 2 it's very obvious, and its so far from the silicone that the whole case flexes in your hand. On my particular case, it's obvious that the protective shell was machined too large for the silicone. No matter how much massaging and fiddling you so with the case, it won't fit the phone properly. As I've said before, on my 3GS, once you snap the outer case on, it's bombproof.
I bought the case direct from OtterBox the day it became available, and Amazon's price is now significantly cheaper. Still, this case isn't worth the cheaper price.
-Update
Otterbox customer service replied, and are sending out a replacement case. Their customer service was very friendly. I'll write another update when the new case arrives.
-Update 2
Customer service promptly sent out a replacement case. The 2nd case definitely fits better, it fits the phone correctly, but there isn't the tight, solid feel of previous versions. As other reviews have noted, the outer case can be uncomfortable against your ear. There are better cases out there for less money, for example, the 'free' case I got through Apple. I got a Griffin Reveal Etch through the free case program, which doesn't offer as much protection, but the case feels solid and fits the phone much tighter than the Otterbox. I still think they make great products, but this one was a failure. At least they've dropped the price since I ordered mine. - Commuter - Case - Iphone 4 Cover - Iphone 4'

Motorola Droid - charger, cell phone charger
This charger did not work for my motorola droid. I searched the part number on the internet and it is supposed to be compatible. I don't know if the product is defective, or if the part is mislabeled, but it does not charge my droid phone. Even though my order clearly is for item SPN5334A, the part that actually came is labeled SPN5528A. I will contact the seller for a replacement, though the cost of shipping means it is not worth even sending the product back. If you search for the part number I received, you'll notice that it's for other motorola phones, not the droid. Use a different seller. Very disappointed. The shipping was slow also. Motorola Droid X MB810 Droid 2 A955 Atrix 4G MB860 DEFY MB525 Droid Pro XT610 A957 BRAVO MB520 Cliq MB200 DROID 2 Global Barrage V860 MILESTONE XT720 OEM Cell Phone Micro USB Travel / Home Wall AC Charger SPN5334A/SPN5334 / SPN5528A / SPN5528
I tried several off-brand chargers with my Droid. Some don't charge the Droid and some make the touchscreen impossible to use. This is the only charger I found that charges the Droid and allows the touchscreen to work while it is plugged in.
I bought two of these as backup work chargers for our Droids. The ones we received do charge the Droid fine, though at about half the rate of the OEM wall charger that Motorola included with the Droid. Going from 25% to 100% takes about 4 hours, versus about 2 with the OEM charger.
A couple things struck me about the charger compared to the OEM model. The cable is very thin, though longer, which is nice for out of reach plugs. The build quality is mediocore, and definitely below that of the OEM charger.
My conclusion is the chargers work and are a good value compared with buying from the Verizon store. If you are looking for a quicker charge, it probably is worth getting the OEM model that came with your Droid. But for a backup charger it's hard to beat the value on this offering.
One other suggestion. If you already have a Motorola mini USB charger for an older phone, you can simply buy the OEM mini to micro adapter (about a 2" cable) sold by Amazon. Works for both wall and home chargers.
I don't know how it would work on someone else's Motorola Droid and not mine... but I couldn't get any charge at all from it. My Droid is new, I bought it just a few weeks ago. The cable is a nice length, I wish it would have worked for my Droid.
I got this to replace the 3' USB AC cable that came with my Motorola Cliq and what more is there to say than it works well. It's nice to have more freedom to move around. I've purchased 3 for other products as well.
I ordered 2 chargers back in April (its December now) because I travel quite a bit for work. One of them stopped charging about 2-3 weeks ago. I've contacted the seller but no resolution to date. :-(
The cord is very light weight, but is also very long. I use it when I travel so I don't have to disassemble my cord out of my charging station. I love the long cord feature because it lets me lay in bed and charge at the same time. Sometime the outlet is not close to the hotel night stand and you have to leave the phone on the floor. Risking leaving it by accident. There is no insulation on the wire, so bending it over and over can hurt the wire. Be careful and it will last.
Bought this from eForCity and the shipping was fast via DHL to USPS and it arrived brand new and under $6. It doesn't charge that fast but the outlet stays out of the way since it's sideways and it was a genuine Motorola. Very good product.
This charger works great - It was so cheap compared to the price at the phone company store I was afraid it would be a cheap knock-off, however it is the real thing and I am recommending it to anyone who needs a charger. - Cell Phone Charger - A855 - Motorola - Charger'

Barnes And Noble
I've read e-books on just about every device out there, while looking for the perfect mix of features to support them. I've gone from an ancient Palm III to all the Kindles and other readers that are out there. First, I must say my favorite way to read a book is via the treeware version - you just can't replace books. What you can do though is supplement them with a device that adds something to the experience that makes a device worth buying. For me, my new perfect device is the NookColor.
I will cut to the chase and answer the question people are most curious about. How does it stack up verus e-ink? Well, as a user of many e-ink devices, I know all about how such devices as Kindle eliminate eye-strain. This was my first worry with the NookColor. As it turns out, their is a color/font adjuster that you can change how the books looks until you find something that is pleasing and non-straining to your particular eyes. While I won't be able to read for five hours straight like on a Kindle, I think four hours straight is a fair trade!
One thing I needed with my reader was the ability to access the Internet at times. This is an area where the NookColor beats out all the e-ink readers with smooth and responsive access to the Net. I found the touch keyboard easy to use, and the rotating display helpful.
The apps are limited to ones that actually work, so there isn't a broad selection like on other devices. It's just quality ones. I suppose with their NookDeveloper program, their should be more apps available soon. Granted they will be a lot of junk apps, as on other devices, but at least there will be variety.
The online "nookstore" is a little more inviting than Amazon's in that it feels like you are a browsing through a variety of options, and not just a list.
I liked the in-store features too. It was nice to check out any book for free while there. Plus, you can download additional free books, only while in a Barnes & Noble.
I like how you can highlight and put notes on your text very easily. While there are several colors available to highlight, I just found out you can highlight a highlight. The mark gets darker and darker as with a real pen, so you can extra emphasize a passage if needed. And if you can't wait to share a passage, you can zap it straight to your facebook and twitter to share with your friends, while you keeping on reading. It's cooler than it sounds!
I will probably upadte this review in a few days, as I discover more features. So, far this seems to be the best collection of features I have found on an ereader, for me personally. I understand the things people like in their prefered reader, but for me, this is the best! Barnes & Noble NOOK Color eBook Tablet
I'm somewhat of a techno geek. I like new gadgets and i tend to ask myself how will this be developed over time. In the case of the nook color they got it right. The size is very good for those used to reading paper backs on the go or in bed just before sleeping. The LCD eye burn has yet to effect me even though I've already put in 6 straight hour of reading ( note: i do keep the back-light level very low ). It is fairly responsive to user inputs. Once you learn how to navigate around it seems intuitive. The magazine format is a welcomed feature. The reduced battery life over my nook classic will not be an issue. It has lasted 2 days so far with wifi off with the same use pattern I've had since i got the nook classic (it will need a charge soon though). Youtube videos work without problems but, hulu is non functional at this point although I'm sure future updates will fix that problem. The form factor of the nook color is the 2ND best of any e-reader i have held ( the nook classic feels better in my hand). Even though B&N had to make concessions to keep profitability up and the price point down look at what you get.

It is a superior offering to those that love to read and want the little extras at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend this product. It will only get better with time.
Last year my husband asked me if I wanted a Kindle, because I love to read all the time and I try to be eco-friendly when possible. I was intrigued, but my biggest weakness is magazines and I didn't like the availability or look of them on the Kindle. When the iPad came out, I was blown away by the beauty of it, but felt like for a few dollars more I could just get a whole new laptop and it would be almost the same size. For travel, the iPad seemed to big and fragile for me; I need to be able to jam all my toys into my backpack and not worry about them.
When I stumbled onto the Nook Color, I absolutely flipped my wig and couldn't wait to get one! Full color magazines, that look just like they do on the newsstand! This could single-handedly save the rain forests - I seriously buy a LOT of magazines. I also save them forever because you never know when you might want that one article or photo again, which drives my husband crazy. So perhaps the Nook Color can save my marriage as well! That's a lot of expectation to put on this adorable little device, but I think it's up to the challenge.
Santa decided to come early to our house, so I just started playing with the NC a few days ago, and it is my first e-reader. It was almost fully charged right out of the box, so I was able to start playing with it in less than an hour (it says you can use it while it is plugged in, but they keypad is VERY oversensitive when plugged in so I don't recommend it). It easily connected to my home wifi and linked to the Barnes & Noble account I had set up earlier that day. If you don't have home wifi, you might have to visit a public wifi location in order to activate it. I recommend setting up a B&N account beforehand if you intend to purchase anything from there, as it makes the first-time Nook use very smooth and enjoyable.
BOOKS: There are many many books available from a variety of online sources, check the product details for formats (please note it does NOT support Kindle format). I understand it's also easy to download books from your local public library, though I haven't tried that yet. The B&N Shop function within the Nook itself is the easiest interface but certainly not the only option. While reading, it's very easy to adjust the font, screen brightness, and more to make it as comfortable as possible on the eyes. At night I turn the brightness all the way down and find it very comfortable for my eyes while reading in bed. I've read for hours on end without any sort of headache. I haven't used the highlight, look-up, or share functions very much yet, but they're super easy to incorporate if you enjoy that sort of thing. Page turning is an intuitive flip of the finger, or you can tap the side of the screen to move forward or back.
CHILDREN'S BOOKS: The color on these looks amazing, and the "read to me" feature is wonderful for little ones learning to read on their own. I imagine this would be great fun for a kid stuck in the back seat of a car for a long trip too! There aren't a ton of Read to Me books available yet but they are adding more every week. I don't even have kids but these are pretty awesome.
MAGAZINES: Obviously this was a major feature for me! The appearance of the magazines is absolutely gorgeous, the text and photos are clear and sharp. You can use the "finger pinch" method on the touchscreen to zoom in and out, or you can use the "Article View" feature to pull out just the text of each page at a pleasant reading size. The magazine includes every single page that you'd find on the newsstand, including advertisements, which to me is a benefit because I sometimes enjoy the photography and trends those provide. Magazines can be read in portrait or landscape format, and you can flip through thumbnails at the bottom of the page to reach a particular article. Most of the currently available magazines offer a single-issue purchase or a 14-day free trial, then bill you monthly for as long as you want to receive issues. Subscriptions are very easy to manage so canceling is not complicated. So far there are about 80 magazines available, and the number seems to be increasing regularly.
NEWSPAPERS and PDF's: I haven't tried these yet, though some have reported formatting that make certain ones difficult to read. The ones purchased directly through the Nook store are more likely to be formatted appropriately for the device and easier to read. Better PDF support is likely to come in a future firmware update, though a lot of it depends on how the original publisher sets up the file.
INTERNET: You do need a wifi connection to go online; 3G is unlikely to be available for the Nook Color unless you also purchase an accompanying data plan. So far most web pages look crisp and beautiful, but are not as fully functional as on a laptop or computer. Flash functionality is not available yet (but is planned) and a lot of people are experiencing difficulty with email and other text box typing. I believe this will be fixed very soon, but for now the web is more of a "read-only" experience.
MUSIC: You can load your own music or use the included Pandora app to link to your Pandora account. The speaker isn't great so headphones would come in handy. I'm extremely in love with my new iPod Nano so I will probably strap that on while reading rather than use this feature.
VIDEO: Our first try produced some choppy playback, but I think the processor was very busy setting up the hardware because we had just gotten it out of the box. After that, it played everything perfectly with jaw-dropping video quality! It will play videos in MP4 format, so get yourself a converter and a microSD card and load it up for your next trip! Apparently videos can also be side-loaded through the mini-USB cord. I've only tried it on the card; it reads directly from the card with no problems.
OTHER: You can add your own photos to use as background, or just to show friends. It comes pre-loaded with a few games (sudoku, crossword, and chess) which work well and are fun. "Lend Me" is an exclusive feature that allows you to swap books with other Nook users, and you can find groups of folks online who will swap with you if none of your friends have a Nook. It uses the android operating system, and an app store is scheduled to open sometime in early 2011 so there will be much much more available in the coming months.
I'm the type of person who doesn't need my phone to be a camera, my iPod to be a dvd player, or my e-reader to be a laptop. The Nook Color does a WONDERFUL job as an e-reader of not only books, but also magazines and newspapers, and it has some other fun bells and whistles. It does what it's supposed to do very well and the additional features make it a great value for the price. I would give it a million stars if I could!'

Touch Screen Stylus - iphone stylus, touch screen stylus
Here's what I found after trying a multitude of styluses (or is it styli?) after buying an iPad 2. I wanted to use an iPad as a sketch book and the pad like it's name...and go digital rather than filling up notebook after notebook. So the perfect stylus has to feel like a pen and work well enough on the screen to give the tactile feel of drawing or writing on paper.
I learned that styluses tips are of 2 main types - fuzzy fabric and rubber - with some additional quirky ones made of metal (O-Stylus)or the sausage stylus (sausage also works like your finger!)
--Fabric tips:
Pogo stylus- also used by Apple Geniuses - have a fabric tip that's great for typing or selecting or gaming even but not so good for writing or sketching anything more complex than a smiley face.
Sock Stylus: This is a conductive fabric sock stretched over a wooden quill, sold on etsy (can google it). This stylus was light and the fabric tip over a wooden pen helped reduce drag due to it's smooth but hard tip. In fast note taking this stylus tended to be easier on the wrist as it was less squishy than the ACase tip. However, it lacked sensitivity in some apps and I had to go over the strokes twice for them to register. Also since it's not rubber you have to hold it at a certain angle but once you do it gives you good results.
There are other fuzzy fabric styluses out there sold by small stores - like the ones by the guy who has been advertising on all Mac forums as stylusrus and posting pictures of his store in competitors' item images. They claim that they have the best yet but I haven't tried that one yet.
--Rubber tips:
The ACase in question (2nd Gen) has a rubber tip. Please check my uploaded pic for size comparison against some other styluses.
The rubber tip looks pretty thick but is still thinner than our fingers. The problem is that it does block the view when writing or sketching just like our finger. This 2nd gen ACase tries to eliminate some of that by creating a longer stylus than most others like Targus, Boxwave, Pogo and even 1st gen ACase styluses. The rubber tip is also thinner and longer like a pen to block less view. All good design choices.
Unfortunately it fails to deliver when compared to some others. If you've only tried the El Cheapos from eBay etc or even from Amazon this is definitely a step up but falls behind the Targus and Boxwave. The longer stem is lighter and feels hollow and does not have the good weight of the 2-in-1 ACase that I tested. The longer rubber tip seems like a good solution until you try to use it on the iPad. I tested a Targus, ACase 2-in-1 and ACase 2nd gen in conjunction on Penultimate and UPad writing apps on iPad and also on Sketchbook Pro. I also used it for general tapping to select mail and do other tasks on iPad along with the rest. It failed to deliver as well as the others all counts. The rubber tip had to be angled a certain way to write and it kept missing strokes, if you pressed harder it delivered but the thinner rubber tip felt squishy and unnatural inducing writers' cramp. If you have to worry about the angle you're holding it at all times it's certainly not a natural process of writing. I took off the cord that attaches it to the headphone jack immediately as it makes an annoying jingling noise when you use the stylus. As a workaround I took off the metal spring hook that attaches the cord to the top of the stylus and tied the cord back on using some sturdy black thread which made it quieter.
Using ACase 2nd gen on an iPhone 4: For the iPad 2 I did not find it the best stylus to use, but when using on a smaller screen like an iPhone 4 it allowed me to select those small type links or buttons more precisely simply because the tip is thinner and allowed me to see better, rather than the hit and pray when using the finger. So if you're primarily going to use the stylus for tapping on a smartphone rather than sketching or writing this stylus is a good choice.
The ACase 2-in-1 was much better, Acase 2 in 1 Stylus + Pen for Apple iPad 16GB, 32GB, 64GB WiFi + 3G, iPad 2, iPhone, iPod, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy, BlackBerry Playbook (Black). The weight was right and it felt balanced in the hand. The tip was more responsive when writing or sketching perhaps due to larger surface area in contact with the screen. However, I still prefer the Targus Targus Stylus for Apple iPad 16GB, 32GB, 64GB WiFi + 3G, iPad 2, iPhone, iPod, Tablet AMM01US (Black) overall for writing on iPad 2 as it is the most responsive of all and has a matte finish stem rather than ACase's smooth finish which makes it a little less slippery to hold. The iPad 2 is already so slinky, I don't want to worry about dropping the stylus too!!
I've also heard good things about the Boxwave and Alupen but haven't tested them so I can't say if they're better than Targus.
So there you have it, Targus was the winner in writing and sketching but still a 3.8/5 compared to the 3 stars for ACase 2nd Gen stylus. Acase 2nd Generation Apple iPad / iPhone / iPod Capacitive Stylus (Jet Black) Newest Model - Touch Screen Stylus - Stylus - Iphone Stylus - Acase'

Solid Waste Management - home improvement, beginners guide
I very rarely spend hard earned money on "how-to" books since they very rarely offer the kind of insight a do-it-yourselfer is looking for. This book is the best exception to that rule that I have found. The book covers all facets of plumbing.Included in the book are high level overviews, extensive discussions of plumbing materials, and step by step instructions for planning, installing, and repairing plumming systems. Whether you are a current home owner looking for assistance in home plumbing repairs, or designing the plumbing system for new construction, this book contains everything you need to get the job done.In addition to the thoroughness of the information contained in the book, there are outstanding graphics and photographs depicting topic at hand. This book would be a bargain at five times the cost. Black & Decker The Complete Guide to Plumbing: Expanded 4th Edition - Modern Materials and Current Codes - All New Guide to Working with Gas Pipe (Black & Decker Complete Guide)
I've been disappointed many times at the lack of depth given by many "do-it-yourself" books. This isn't one of them! The photos are clear, the language concise. Each procedure is given clearly in a step-by-step manner that anyone can follow. After reading this book I may even tackle copper pipe and soldering, something which I've never been quite brave enough to do before. I had questions answered that I've been searching for, quite literally, years. How-to manuals just don't get any better.
I'm the kind of homeowner who isn't afraid of attempting various repairs- with the proper guidance and directions (I do have some background in electronics repair, but that's a distant relative to home repairs, IMO.) This book provides both for me through excellent organization, clear instructions highlighted by excellent overall and step-by-step photos (for instance, photos of three alternative "naked" shower plumbing setups as typically installed in American homes, sans drywall and covering, as well as step-by-step photos of how to perform component maintenance or replacement). Included are lists of the tools needed to do the job (ever had to stop mid-job because you didn't have the exact tool to continue?), a well-written index and even handy conversion (metric - Imperial) tables, as well as what in my opinion is the only useless bit of this book, a sketchy resource list of professional associations. I think this book still merits five stars; it is good for scoping and planning, and then to follow as you are doing. Finally- a well-illustrated and clearly written book for the rest of us, not assuming we know it all nor talking down to us! Kudos- and thanks!- to Black and Decker.
This book, is without a doubt, the best book on plumbing that I've seen, and I looked through a lot of them before choosing this one. Just like the title says, it's a complete guide, with excellent photos and numeric tables to help meet code. If you're going to do your own plumbing, I'd recommend this one.
This book is chock full of photos; so much that it detracts from providing information. I was trying to use it to replace a leaking shower faucet, but couldn't find any useful info about my setup. All there was were pictures of valves that weren't mine. I would like to see more troubleshooting chapters, and more possible fitting/material variations outlined. For instance I would like to know how to go from plastic to copper to galvanized etc.
Still if you doing a new install and have access to the exact material they use then it is good for that.
I had always lived in apartments until I purchased my first home last fall. Shortly after I moved into the house, terrible leaks began to develop in the upstairs shower. The diverter no longer worked in the downstairs shower, and no pressure was getting through the shower head. I felt responsible for making the repairs and I didn't know where to start. I sure didn't want to disappoint my wife. I looked through all the plumbing books I could find. Like other reviewers have said, the graphics in this book by far surpass the graphics in any other manual. It is obvious that Black & Decker went to great lengths and expense to create the many excellent cut-away photographs. For my problems with the showers, the photographs showed me what I needed to do in one glance. I quickly knew what parts I needed to get. I needed a new spout dowstairs with a built in diverter. All I needed for the upstairs shower was a couple of o-rings. I also needed to purchase a pipe wrench to loosen the spout. I was able to complete the repairs in about an hour.I am not really sure I would have had the patience to read through a less intuitive book. With the help of this book, I have the confidence to face future plumbing problems.
Though I feel this book was written for the newbie and the weekend warrior do-it-yourselfer, I think it can easily make anyone a better plumber. It's chock-full of tips, tests, and troubleshooting (I bought the book for its detailed explaination on troubleshooting a badly designed trap -- saved me a $200 plumber bill!)
The best part of the book is that it doesn't just tell you how to do it, but explains how the appliances work to give you a better idea on the why-and-how it works.
Covers:
Water heaters
Dishwashers
Floor drains
Jet tubs (Jacuzzis)
Septic systems
Frost-proof faucet (sillcock)
Showers (even installing an enclosure)
Cutting and soldering copper (which makes the $25 price of the book WELL worth it.)
Faucets (with great expanded or "exploded" views of all the inner pieces.
Tools, types of pipe and fittings (why, when and where to use them - which is priceless to someone that is new to this.)
and much much more.
You'll be amazed at how easy it is to fix 90% of your household plumbing problems! I highly recommend this book. - Home Plumbing - Beginners Guide - Home Improvement - Do It Yourself'

Hardwood Flooring Nailer - flooring stapler, cleat nailer
I got this stapler to do my Bruces 5/16 hard wood flooring and it was great. Did a room 14x13.5 in two days. 3/4 of the room in 6 hours after I got going. What a time saver and I did not have to rent, which would have cost the same. Do not go buying a 250 floor stapler if it is to do your own floor or if you are going to rent one. Take your time and use this. Jeff Wolfenson Bynford Laminated & Hardwood Flooring Stapler (uses SB97 type staples)
I bought the Bynford Floor Stapler last winter to lay engineered hardwood. I did not want to rent a stapler as I did not know how much time and help I would have. The previous spring I had laid about 250 square feet of 5/16 oak using a brad nailer, which worked fine but was time consuming placing the brads. With the Bynford my 2 sons and I laid about 450 square feet of the engineered oak hardwood in a day and a half, with only a couple of staple jams. This included all cutting and the occasional carpet staple and nails we would run into and have to remove (no matter how much prep you do you will still find these!). We use the stapler with a small Coleman compressor with a one pound tank. We found Bostitch staples in this size at our local Menards, but our local Lowes did not have them. Have not checked Home Depot.
One of my son's friends recently bought a house. My son took the Bynford over there and they laid over a 1000 square feet of 5/16 bamboo with no problems. I have done a lot of construction and remodeling over the last couple of years and this has been one of the best values I have bought in a tool.
I am a home renovator and tend to buy only the best tools possible. Don't let the price of this gun fool you. It is very well made and balanced. Have done over 2000 sq ft of flooring since delivery without 1 problem. Only drawback is no available adaptor plate for 1/2 in flooring. Go spend $250 for a gun with this feature. Installed all 1/2 flooring with it though, with little effort. Just pay attention to your angle or glue a little 1/8in strip to the base for proper fitment. Very easy for most homeowners to use. Make sure you order staples. May be a challenge to find in some areas. This gun will save any homeowner or contractor lots of money. You'll be pleased....
The Bynford flooring stapler is as good as the Bostich and other similar nailers without a doubt! I have owned the Bostich and when I bought the Bynford I was surprised at how well constructed the Bynford is.I have installed about 2000 sq. ft and not one jam or problem!
Was sceptical about purchasing this gun, Not being a name brand but am very happy with purchase. Have shot 7500 staples so far and it jammed twice. Pretty good average I guess. I recomend this for the DIYer but wouldn't suggest for comercial work.
When I first opened the package and unwrapped the flooring stapler, I knew instantly that I was holding a quality product. It was sturdy, but not heavy, and just felt solid. After practicing on a piece of scrap flooring for a few minutes, I was ready to attack my new dining room floor. The Bynford tool performed flawlessly. The quality-of-performance to price ratio simply can't be beat. This is an incredible product at a fantastic price.
I have 1 of these and 2 bostitch, this was so inexpensive and I needed one in a hurry so I ordered it, awsome, it preforms just as good as the brand name models and I will only buy this kind again because the quality of this runner for a fraction of the cost of a bostitch runner, good job.
This flooring stapler is a great buy! I did not want to rent one, since I only have about 3 hours a day to do my home improvements and I did not want to spend a couple hundred for one. I did a 144 sq ft room with no problems from this tool!! My only suggustion is to make sure your local hardware store has the staples in stock. I had to go to 4 local home improvement stores to find the staples. This a great buy!! I very pleased I bought this staple gun.
I bought and used this nailer almost a year ago, but am finally getting around to reviewing it. It worked out nicely for my flooring project, and at almost half the cost of most others it was a great investment. Out of around 3,000 staples I put through it, I think maybe 1 or 2 jammed up. It's hard to ask for much better from even the best nailers.
The one downside is that it uses a special size of staple, meaning that you can't always run down to the hardware store for more. Just buy a large pack for dirt cheap when you buy this and you'll be set for awhile. - Cleat Nailer - Flooring Stapler - Floor Nailer - Stapler'
