High Definition - high definition, 32 inch lcd

I bought mine from Buydig when they had it for $399.99 with a coupon code and free shipping last month. I am using it as a computer monitor and as a secondary TV at home. Instead of writing in paragraph, I will just enumerate the things I wanted to say...

As a Computer Monitor:

1. It has a native mode, but it will leave about an inch of space/border, from the side and 1/2 inch on the top and bottom. The quality is super crisp! Just like a CRT (with 1080p PC mode on)!

2. Natural mode will stretch it out and leave about a 1/4 inch on each side. and it's still pretty crisp.

3. There is an option in this tv called 1080p PC mode, which makes the letters very crisp and clear. You will need to enable it to make the letters not look distorted or fuzzy.

4. To get to the 1080p computer mode, go to menu > picture settings > noise reduction > turn on 1080p PC mode.

5. by default, it is extremely bright as a computer monitor, so lessen the back light.

6. NO DEAD PIXELS!!!!!

7. Using the 15-pin computer plug, max resolution possible is 1360x 768, and instead of native mode, it has a dot by dot mode (which is essentially native mode.)dot by dot mode will leave a hefty border on the tv which is about 3 inch on the top and bottom and about 5 inches per side. Although the text is as clear as it any CRTs out there, losing about 40% of your monitor's real estate isn't that great. Also in PC ode, you can't change the picture settings.

8. I have been able to use audio over HDMI using an ATI card (4670)

9. To avoid screen tearing when playing PC games, make sure v-sync is turned on your PC.

As a TV:

1. switching through channels is painless, not like some other brands that I've tried, this takes less than a second to load to the other channel. There is a slight delay when switching through HDMI and cable or HDMI to another HDMI which is only about a second.

2. very crisp picture and superb colors. The black levels are one of the best I've seen. and this is coming from a former plasma TV user.

3. The sound is pretty decent. Don't expect heavy bass. no tv has that. that's what home theatre set ups are for.

4. The remote is solid, not fancy. no problems picking up the signal.

5. has a usb port that can play music and pictures.

6. NO DEAD PIXELS!!!!!!

7. I have my Dynalight function off so I can't comment on it.

Power consumption (using a P3 Watt meter)

off

>1 W (about .3 W for me)

on Sports mode (torch mode)

~95 W

on Standard

~59 W

on movie mode

~55 W

on PC mode (using the 15 pin VGA)

~54 W

on preference (it seems to be on Sports mode by default)

~95 W

As I've said, it is very bright to use as a computer monitor so what I did was I went on movie mode and customized it by putting contrast and brightness @ 50 and put the backlight @ 0 (yes I put it @ ZERO!) if it's too dark for you put it around backlight 10.

With backlight at zero, the Power Consumption is @ 36 W. Backlight @ 10 is about 43 W.

The unit on standard mode, is a little warm to the touch when you feel the back panel but it doesn't heat up the room at all.

I haven't tested it on input lag but from what I can see, it's pretty good. Game mode helps a lot.

EDIT!!!

being an ATI user, never had the chance to test this TV with an NVidia card. It seems with Nvidia, native mode works perfectly, with all the TV's screen real estate being used. on other modes though, the NVidia chip was actually a little big since the display also had the overscan. It seems ATI chips natively shrink their TV output. Toshiba 32E200U 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV (Black Gloss)

I was a little leery of ordering this new 2010 model that didn't yet have full specifications or other product information available. If it was any brand other than Toshiba, which I've had great experiences with, I would have waited or moved to a different product.

Anyway, I'm glad I did order this model 32E200U TV. Ordered from Amazon for a great price, it arrive in three days, in perfect packaging and brought right to my door by my friendly UPS driver. Unpacking and "assembly" was a snap - there really isn't much to do other than attach the stand, connect the cables, install the remote batteries, and turn it on. It asked a few simple set-up questions, scanned all my cable channels (finding some I didn't know I had access to), and was ready to go. The remote is super clear and simple to use, everything works, and the picture is great. Black is truely black, color is well balanaced, the image is bright, people and their clothes are their correct colors, and the sound is really quite good. We have a standard 480i cable connection, a 1080i upconverted DVD, laptop streaming NexFlix, and bluray. All work perfectly and switching between inputs is seemless. It has plenty of HDMI inputs (4) in addition to analog, digital, and cable.

Can't say much else, other that to strongly recommend this product. Buy it, you'll like everything about it.

Recently purchased this set because of a great online deal (not from Amazon). I was a bit weary due to the fact that not much had been said about this TV. It arrived with no problems and took just a few minutes to get set up and running. The picture is amazing and rivals those of higher-end TVs. The blacks are some of the best I've seen on an hdtv and the picture quality is crisp.

I was a little nervous purchasing a set with only 60Hz refresh rate due to the fact that I play a ton of Xbox 360. However, there was no noticeable slow-down. I then switched it to gaming mode and there was absolutely no slowdown.

The picture viewing angles are perfect and looks crisp from wherever you view the set.

As for audio, it sounds great out-of-the-box without the purchase of any speaker system. I have it at half its volume and that gives a booming loud sound.

I have yet to try out the USB connections, but expect little to no problems with that.

This is a great budget-priced set with many, many high-end features. You won't be disappointing. - 32 Inch Lcd - 1080p - 120hz - High Definition'

Memory Card - memory card, 16 gb

I simply could not find a 32GB version of this card. However, this SanDisk Extreme HD Video 16GB SDHC Class-6 Memory Card (SDSDRX3-016G-A21) worked perfectly in my Kodak Zi8 Camcorder at 720 and 1080 HD settings. So far, recording and playback have been flawless. I ordered the mem via Amazon on 25May2010, and received it on 29May2010 via USPS. The cost was about $75 and the shipping was free. SanDisk Extreme HD Video 16 GB SDHC Class 6 Memory Card (SDSDRX3-016G-A21)

My wife and I were so impressed with our first card that we just purchased our second Extreme HD Video card. Pictures from our Canon HD video camera are perfect using this card and all features of the camera are available. We found that using cheaper cards caused the camera to disable some recording features.

Clearly, the SanDisk Extreme for HD video is the right memory card for you HD video camera. But, purchasing this card at Amazon.com from one of the more competative vendors will save you big bucks. I've purchased two for a total price of less than I could find elsewhere, for a single card. The most expensive price I found was at a place that claims to be the "best buy". Not even close! This card saves my pictures and video flawlessly in both a Canon Rebel SLR and my GoPro HD Hero video cameras.

Purchased this card to work with my new JVC GZ-HM200 AVCHD video camera. Works perfect and very fast with the still picture mode no complaints at all. I highly recommend this card for HD Video camera's.

I have read over and over that for a faster performance between shots in a digital camera to grab a class/grade 10 card. I'm sorry but those are crazy expensive. This wonderful class 6 performed great for fast shots through a hectic night of partying and saved as fast as I could take those 4m-10m shots on my Canon SD4000is. I also recorded some 720p hd videos inbetween and switched back to photo mode in a blink. Fast shots, fast saves. This does well without putting a dent in my budget.

My biggest worry when buying a SD card for my camera was compatibility, even though technically using the SD standard should make it so that isn't a concern. I forked up the cash for this card because I wanted quality, and I didn't want to have to worry. I haven't had to worry, it just works. I bought it for my new D3100, and I've had absolutely no issues. - Memory Card - Sdhc - 16 Gb - Sdhc Card'

Mineral Make Up - bare escentuals, mineral makeup

I have been using Coty's Translucent Airspun face powder for many years and it suits me well. I hope you continue to manufacture it for the rest of my life, which isn't asking much because i am already 92. Barbara Larsen Coty Airspun Face Powder 070-41 Translucent Extra Coverage

This is the only cosmetic product I've stuck with for over 25 years. This powder has been around forever and there is a reason for that. It has a very fine texture which applies perfectly. It is also very inexpensive. Most people would be able to use this powder without foundation, since it enhances and perfects the complexion so well. Unless you really need extra coverage, I recommend the basic translucent shade if you wear foundation, which should work with nearly every complexion. The other shades are heavier and, if used with certain foundations, might not last as well for over 8 hours without caking. On the other hand, the heavier extra coverage shades work very well without foundation. I've tried Christian Dior, Lancome, Elizabeth Arden, and a million other loose powders and none of them compare to Coty.

I have to echo the other two excellent reviews of this product. I too have been using this for about twenty five years off and on, but I always come back to this. The scent is great, yet light not at all cloying, the coverage is excellent and very thorough, really tones down the pinky brown color that is my skin after cleansing and applying makeup. The colors do tend to run on the light side, just as a warning if you have darker skin. I would recommend the non color adding Translucent if your skin is darker. I use the light-med. and it is perfect for my light skin. The result is flawless, smooth, lovely and a luminous complexion. The one I trust and will use forever. Note* While I love the looks of the vintage packaging (hasn't changed since 1935), it can be hard to control the stuff from the inside. I recommend poking holes in the plastic, so as to control the product coming out. A few years ago, they put out a sifter with this and why on earth they discontinued it, I haven't a clue. Other than that small technical defect, this stuff continues to rock!!! Best powder out there.

I remember my Mom used this. But she had this puffy cotton type of item to pat her face with this powder. This was the only beauty item she used and her lipstick and she looked just great and had great skin until she passed away.

I've used this face powder for twenty-plus years, it IS the lightest powder I've found and, as a girl on a budget, lovely that it is so affordable. My sifter has only just now disintegrated, I do wish they'd offer it again. It could be a side purchase! (Ya listening, Coty? :)

Ever since I was a little girl and I watched my mom and grandmother use this in the morning, I've been in love with just the smell of this loose weight powder. Now, as a young woman, I still am in love with not only the smell, but how much coverage you get with this powder! But that's not even the best part. The best part is that this loose powder is so light weight that you feel so natural!

I ordered this product for my mom and she was thrilled with it-she had been looking for this product for many years. When I was young she bought it at the drug store but it has not be available for many years. She is very happy that I found this product for her. - Mineral Makeup - Bare Escentuals - Makeup - Mineral Veil'

Hip Hop - hip hop

Whoa!!!!! Where did this come from? Without any hype or media attention, Sony has just released "The Essential Michael Jackson" (37 tracks, 157 min.), perhaps the ultimate Michael Jackson compilation.

CD 1 (20 tracks, 79 min.) cover the period up to and including the "Thriller" album, starting with the best known Jackson 5 singles such as "ABC" and "I Want You Back", then shifting to the Jacksons. It would have been better to include "State of Shock" or "Lovely One" instead of "Enjoy Yourself". CD1 finishes off with 7 of the 9 "Thriller" album tracks (the other 2 being "Baby Be Mine" and "The Lady in My Life"; it's still hard to believe how successfull that album really was, and how many hits were relased from it, in the days when "radio tracks" meant actual vinyl single releases). This was of course Michael at his absolute best, now 23 years ago.

CD2 (17 tracks, 78 min.) compiles 8 tracks from "Bad" and 7 from "Dangerous", and finishes off with "You Are Not Alone" from HIStory and "You Rock My World" from Invincible. In other words: only 2 tunes from the post-1992 era, and rightfully so, even though the HIStory and Invincible albums are not nearly as bad or mediocre as many would like you to believe. The only track that arguably should be on here (but, at 78 min. already, at the expense of what other track then?) is "Scream", the No. 1 duet with sister Janet.

In the end, this "essential" compilation is better than any other compilation available (HIStory Vol. 1; Number Ones, etc.) as it covers both the Jackson 5/Jacksons era and his solo output. It's very strange to me that this was released without any hype or advertizing campaign, but the main thing is that it's out and available. Hihgly recommended! The Essential Michael Jackson

Thjere are many Michael Jackson CD's on the market. This is the one to own however since it captures all of his big hits and well represents my two favorite albums "Off The Wall" and "Thriller". His best songs are all here" Rock With You, Don't Stop Til You Get Enough, Beat It, Billie Jean,The Girl Is Mine, Human Nature, etc. as well as his early hits with the Jackson Five and the great later albums like "Bad" and "Dangerous". THIS IS THE BEST SOUNDING representation of these hits I have ever heard. There are 37 cuts. Michael was indeed an American tragedy and a pop music icon. If you can only own one CD, this is the most logical choice. My only quibble is the omission of "Never Can Say Goodbye" which was my favorite Jackson Five song. At one time, he was selling over one million albums-CD's a day (1983-84). He changed the course of pop music history and his legacy will live on despite the cynics. Highly recommended!

While some might gripe about the lack of new material on this collection, very few (and I only say this because I don't own all of them) of the sets in the "The Essential" series of compilations have anything new on them. The point is to make available an affordable compilation of an artist's hits over the course of their career. This is especially useful in the cases of artists who have had career highlights on various labels, such as Johnny Cash or Michael Jackson. In the case of Jacko's collection, this is the only 2-disc set on the market that contains tracks dating from the J5 years to the present, so it's valuable to those who want a lot of his hits in one purchase but don't want to buy the J5's greatest hits, a compilation of pre-Off the Wall hits and then another compilation that covers from Off the Wall to the present.

There are a few glaring omissions to be noted, though: "Dancing Machine," "Scream" (with Janet), and "Say Say Say" (with Paul McCartney) deserve to be on here. "Blood on the Dancefloor" is a personal favorite of mine that would've been nice to get without having to buy a remix album, too, but it's inessential (then again, so is "Dangerous," which made it on). Overall, though, I recommend it for those who want a 2-disc Jackson fix in 1 purchase.

All the positive reviews here have neglected to comment on one thing, and that is the songs on this collection are not the full length versions. Rather they are the edits for radio versions. I prefer the original full length songs that come from the respective albums so prefer HIStory to this.

I agree with an above poster. I didn't buy this album to "drool" over. I wanted to listen and enjoy his music not analyze his life or even think about his passing. Just enjoy the tracks on this record. 2 songs I liked weren't included they were , The Jacksons "Torture" and MJ's 2001 song "2000 Watts". But I got most of those from the net. I liked some of MJ's songs but only knew the most popular ones prior to his passing. Since his passing and thanks to a tribute of MJ songs played on XM Satellite Radio. I now enjoy more songs than ever before. I know most think that people like me ONLY bought this record because of the hype. That isn't true if you never liked MJ's music than regardless of the hype you won't all of the sudden like his music. You have to be a fan of some sort prior to his passing. Sad that it takes MJ passing for fans bring his music to a level that he never saw when he was alive. I like most (if you never owned a MJ album) wanted to have at lease one ACTUAL record of MJ's to remember the good music he did. I'll add that listening to "You are not alone" is very hard now knowing that MJ is gone. Knowing that he meant so much to so many! It was like his way of leaving a final message! RIP MJ

There are a number of MJ compilations out there, but this is by far the best one. It features a nice sampling of Jackson 5 and 70s Jacksons hits, as well as all the major solo hits. The only major omissions are the Jackson 5 hits "I'll Be There" and "Dancing Machine", the Jacksons "State of Shock" and the duet with Janet Jackson, "Scream", but considering this is a Michael Jackson compilation it's not that detrimental.

I'm impressed at the scope of this collection, and all of MJ's major albums, "Off The Wall", "Thriller" and "Bad" are well-represented here. The underrated "Dangerous" is also well-represnted including songs that were not on "HIStory" or "Number Ones", including the hypnotic "In the Closet" and "Who Is It".

Invincible is only represented by "You Rock My World", although I think "Butterflies" and "Cry" would have been good additions.

But, it's hard to complain when you have 30 years of some of the most incredible pop music ever made. - Hip Hop'

Scarves - bellydance wear, scarves

I adore this hip scarf. It has a wonderful sound and nice feel. The weight is great for beginners because you can really feel where you are moving. I was rather disappointed that what I ordered was "navy blue" but is actually a bright (beautiful) royal blue. Shipping was very fast and it arrived a full day before amazon.com's tracking said it would be here.

*just a note for larger women*

As a large hipped woman (size 16), the beading will not go all the way around you; not that I expected it to as the model is rather small. Mine goes from about hip to hip. I plan on ordering another one and putting them together for full coverage. BellyLady Multi-Row Belly Dance Hip scarf, With Silver Coins And Black Beads BLACK

This hip scarf is adorable! It has a nice, heavy, weight to it so it hangs very nicely. It seems to be well made, and NOT like some of the cheaper scarves out there that are just that...CHEAP. Also, jingles and shimmers as you walk - I even wore it over a pair of black "beach" pants and a top while on a recent Caribbean vacation and received MANY compliments! I ordered that black and am VERY happy with my purchase!

I have several hip scarfs but this one is my favorite. mine is in blue. the craftmanship is excellent and it exceeded my expectations! you get alot of jingle with your shimmy's which makes this lots of fun to wear when dancing. I highly recomend this scarf, you will not be disapointed!

I plan to order a couple more of these. they are heavy, have a nice sound and the design is very fun and short. Sometimes it is nice to have a small scarf to use.

They are just perfect for class use.

I highly recommend this scarf for beginners and more advance dancers.

If you want to get more out of your Zumba workout get this hip scarf!!! It really makes you aware of your body movements as the lovely jingly silver coins just sing with the beat of the music. I am a size 18 and it fits me fine. There is a gap in coins... but not enough to keep me out of it. I look forward to the day when the coins come together!! Get it... you'll be glad you did.

I just love this hip scarf and have gotten so many compliments on it. I wear it to Zumba and I love hearing it jingle. I did not receive the tote bag that they are offering with it now. That is a shame because it would have been nice to have the bag to carry it with me to my Zumba class.

The one thing I didn't like was the high shipping rate. Not sure why it needs to be that high when it just comes in a letter size bubble envelope.

The scarf arrived quicker than expected. I love that the only embellishment on the ties are at the ends. Makes it possible to tie well, without worrying about beading or sequins. It is advertised for practice and is holding up well, but with the quality, I will be wearing this for performances also! The weight and sound, perfect. I chose this scarf because it looked to not be as long as many others. I was not disappointed. The length down the leg and coverage in back is as pictured. Great for a short dancer who doesn't want a scarf to reach the knees.

I received many compliments in class. Will be ordering a few other colors! - Bellydance Wear - Scarves - Belly Dance Hip Scarf - Hip Scarf'

Jump Rope - jump rope, rope

I had read a previous review that said that this length worked well for both her and her younger son. Thank goodness I read that review because I would have ordered a rope that was too long. I am 5'2" and this 8 foot rope is perfect. I really like how the long plastic beads keep the rope in a perfect arc. Olympic Style Jump Rope, 8'(yellow & white)

This is a great jump rope at a great price; the kids love the 2 colors, they love the beaded look, and they love the handles.

My kids are 6, 7 (8 in 2 days) and 12. They can all easily use this size jump rope; it's weighted well enough that they can even speed jump on some pretty windy days. I can even use this size jump rope (at 5'2").

Buy several at once to save on the shipping cost, if you can! I ordered 2 and am going to order 2 more, and I wish I would have known what size to get the kids originally and I would have just ordered them all at once. I made the mistake of also ordering the 6' foot rope, thinking my 6 yr old would be better off, but he can barely use the 6' foot and can use this 8 ft with lightning speed!

I'd been looking for a good, durable jump rope so my daughters could have more things to play outdoors when I came across these. They used to have these in my elementary gym classes and I loved them. They're sturdy, colorful and when you swing them they keep a better shape. I've already bought several of them. I would recommend also getting a book on jump rope rhymes. We have Anna Banana. They get exercise, fresh air, and wholesome fun. Who could ask for more?

I'm petite, I'm too lazy to go to the gym (ironic right?), and I don't want a drawn-out workout. I heard that 10 mins skipping rope is equal to half an hour of jogging on the road, so this little jumprope was perfect for me. It doesn't make a huge footprint in the house, and I can work out without any equipment setup.

I recently was told I needed to lower my blood pressure,I like was told a great way to get the heart rate up was swimming ,running and jumping rope I decided to get a jumprope. This is a strong lightweight jumprope exactly like the ones used at many schools throughout the USA .It is exactly what I wanted it to be.I expect it to continue its usefulness for years to come.

This is a good size for me (I'm 5'4") and my brother who is 5'10" can use it comfortably as well. This reminds me of the old style of school gym jump rope- it is extremely durable, and much easier to control and use than a soft jump rope. The weight of the plastic makes it much easier to use without the tangle of soft rope. Exactly what I was looking for.

a good product for an inexpensive product. After a lot of use, some of the beads split and fell off the rope, but they lasted a full year of volleyball practice. This length is good for people from 4'6" through 6' tall.

I have been lazy with running lately and too frugal to pay a gym membership, so I thought I'd take up on jump roping. What a great workout, right in my family room, and takes up no room. I am exactly 5" and the length is perfect! It also makes me feel nostalgic as I remember using these same kind of jump ropes back in elementary school! The material seems somewhat cheap though, so we will see how long they will last, but you surely can't beat it for the price! I'm very glad I bought it.

This jumprope is very similar to the kind I grew up with in elementary school. It has great weight due to the beads on it and it is a good length at 8' for me (I'm 5'5"). It is not as heavy weight of a plastic on the beads as I remember having as a kid, they may not last forever, but they are good enough to get a workout for a good while. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone interested in getting fit while having fun like a kid again. - Fitness - Jump Rope - Rope - Jump Ropes'

Samsung - 1080p, 46 inch

Great picture with vivid colors, easy to use remote, menu options are easy to follow. We were not going to upgrade to an HDTV until we watched a couple of programs on a friends Samsung 46-inch LCD TV. No comparison to our old regular TV, the detail and color are amazing. Samsung LN46D630 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV (Black)

I bought this on a whim at a local big-box store after seeing true blacks beat the competing LG 47" model. Everything about the TV is incredible, especially compared to the 32" Toshiba LCD it replaced. The display settings are all adjustable, for example, "Auto Motion Plus" with 1-10 settings for both blur and judder reduction.

It has a USB input on the recessed side and can play Divx AVI files, XVID, and a few video files types. If you're playing a movie file and stop it (accident or otherwise), the 'D button' on the remote will return you to the same spot. The player also has fast forward and rewind. Only minor complaints are the back-lit remote glows orange (cheap) and doesn't even light all of the buttons.

The big problem I have is light leakage in the bottom two corners. On a black screen, you can see this as a flashlight effect pointing at 45 degrees to the middle. I can adjust the settings and come close to fix it, but on a dark movie like "The Descent" - it's still there. This is totally not acceptable, as I bought the TV primarily to watch movies. I'll probably return it in the next few days. Maybe for the same, or the LG 47" model. I'd read this was a big problem with low-end edge-lit LED models so this is a bit disappointing.

I bought this a few weeks ago and it is absolutely amazing!! Its actually a little disturbing how realistic the picture quality is. I have no complaints about this TV. You can't beat the price for an LCD TV. The auto motion technology makes everything so life like. And even if you have just a basic DVD player this TV makes the DVD's look great!!

I love the picture and sound coming from this TV. I also love the stability that the stand provides. I have 2 little girls that run around and play in the livingroom right around the TV so I was a little nervous about having this TV sitting at their level. I purchased a TV stand that will hold up to a 46" TV and the stand that comes with the TV sits on it great. While factory stand provides some movement it would take a lot to knock the TV over. The picture quality is great and the speakers are surprisingly loud for their size.

Great picture quality, easy to use remote...took me 45 mins to setup the TV which is not bad at all..extremely happy with Paul's TV for delivering it 7 days prior to the shipping date......I'm not that big on realistic colors or anything...can't compare with any hdtv as I had a tube tv before so this is step-up for me anyway :)...just loving it..

Big Pic, beautiful color. . .jumps right out to you. Excellent character definition and does well time after time. Delivered to my door. Bought some sort of cable, plugged it in right out of the box and it has been running 16 hourd a day ever since.

This item arrived in good shape via FedEx, although the box had a few tears, scuff marks, and a large puncture--fortunately not in front or behind the the LCD panel!

With minimal adjustments, I've been able to obtain an amazing picture with good colors, brightness, and contrast. This set will automatically adjust screen brightness according to lighting in your room, which I found resulted at times in a picture too dim or somewhat "washed out." However, this is easily corrected by turning off the energy savings and eco sensor settings under "Eco Solution" in Menu. I, also, found that a one-notch adjustment to dynamic contrast and black tones, produced a more vibrant image with sufficient shadow details. Just take care that you don't ramp up too high on settings such as brightness, backlight, and contrast unless you want to lessen the life-expectancy of the CCFL backlight bulbs.

On-board sound system is acceptable, although I prefer my external hookup. "Auto-volume" is really nice, because it keeps sound levels more constant and no need to hit the "mute" button on the remote when loud TV commercials come along.

this tv is amazing. You can expect many of the good features of the latest tvs.

First of all, the quality and sound is through the roof. One of my best investments.

Secondly, you can plug your usb device or portable hard drive straight into the tv. This tv can play almost all movie formats. And the best part is, this tv also picks up the subtitle you put in in srt format. I dont have to turn on my ps3 from now on to watch movies anymore.

I am not sure about the longevity of the tv but it has been a month and good so far.

I just bought this, b/c my 2 yr old Panasonic Plasma died. The HD movie channels on this one appeared as if they were in 3D, which isn't possible with this tv. Movies, and some normal channels appeared like the original film, or raw film. My wife called it "soap opera" tv. It's hard to describe, but really weird and awful to watch. Nobody had any idea what I was talking about!

The review below by bigcstyle describes it perfectly and told me how to fix it-I was literally 1 hour away from returning. It's the Auto Motion Plus setting. Go to Picture settings and turn off Auto Motion Plus. Voila, normal television again. Thanks bigcstyle!

Oh, by the way, the guys at HH Gregg had no idea, thought I was an idiot and blamed my cable provider. Uverse came to the house today, couldn't figure it out, but narrowed it down to the tv. I only bought at HH Gregg b/c my Panasonic was from Best Buy, they didn't care about it, thought I would try elsewhere, but HH Gregg salesman are not professional-I am being polite.

How do I now like the tv? I really like it. The 120 Hz produces some blur in action or sports, not as smooth at all as the Plasma. However, it's a very clean and crisp picture. For $800.00, I am happy, now that I figured out the Auto Motion Plus. I recommend the tv. - 1080p - 46 Inch'

Eneloop Power Pack - aaa, battery charger

This new eneloop package (Sanyo Eneloop Ni-MH Charger and 8 Rechargeable AA and 4 Rechargeable AAA Batteries) contains 12 of the 2nd-gen eneloop cells, and the MQN06 4-cell charger. Note that unlike the previous eneloop Power Pack Kit, there are no C- and D-shell adapters in this package.

The rated capacities of those new eneloop cells are the same as that of original eneloop: 2000mAh for AA, 800 for AAA. All batteries are made in Japan. The charger is made in China.

I have tested 4 new eneloop AA cells, using my La Crosse BC-900 Battery Charger:

- Right out of the package, the average remaining charge is 1557mAh (min=1551, max=1564)

- After just one charge/discharge cycle, the average capacity rises to 2100mAh (min=2070, max=2130). This is 5% higher than the rated value!

Date code embossed on the AA cells is "10-04 0Y". I assume that means April 2010. Note that just like the old eneloop, the new ones are only charged to 75-80% when leaving factory.

According to the package and also Sanyo web site, the new eneloop is supposed to offer the following advantages over the original:

- "Holds charge up to 3 years" (85% after 1 year, 80% after 2, 75% after 3)

- "Recharge 1500x" (vs. "1000x" for original)

- "Suitable for temperature as low as -20 degree C" (vs. -10)

In real life, it is nearly impossible for the user to experience those benefits. If you recharge the new eneloop twice every week, it will take 15 years to reach 1500 cycles! Also the new self-discharge rate is not much different from that for the old eneloop (which claims 85% after 1 year, 80% after 2). So it is probably not worth paying an extra premium over the old eneloop, just for those perceived benefits.

However, there is one visible benefit for the new eneloop: it comes in different colors!

- The 8 AA cells consist of 4 light-blue and 4 dark-blue

- The 4 AAA cells consist of 2 light-green and 2 dark-green

This makes it easier for the new eneloop to be arranged in groups. For example, you may use one color group in your camera and another group as spare. Plus the new colors looked very nice, too.

The charger included in this package, on the other hand, is a big let-down. It is the same old Sanyo MQN06 which is slow and only charges in pairs. It is simply inexcusable that Sanyo continue to package their best rechargeable batteries with their worst charger. In my case, the price I paid (at a local warehouse Club) is cheaper than buying 12 new eneloop cells separately, so I just tell myself that the charger is thrown in for free. Otherwise I would subtract one star from the rating.

[Update July 29, 2010]

I have tested 4 new eneloop AAA cells, date code "10-05 0B":

- Average remaining charge out of package is 619mAh

- After two more charge/discharge cycles, the average capacity reached 830mAh.

That's what I like most about those eneloop cells (both new and old). They are highly consistent, and their measured capacities are usually higher than rated values.

[Upadte Nov 21, 2010]

Long term self-discharge data: I have tested a pair of new eneloop AA cell, after nearly 4 months (115 days) of storage. The average remaining charge is 89% of full capacity. This result is slightly better than that of the original eneloop, which usually reatins about 87% after three months. But the difference is within margin of error of my experiments. Sanyo Eneloop Ni-MH Charger and 8 Rechargeable AA and 4 Rechargeable AAA Batteries

I bought this for one reason alone: Classic style rechargeable batteries after a month or so, will discharge most of their charge! Requiring another recharging cycle, wasting your time, and increasing your power bill. It also made it impossible to have a spare fully charged and ready to go. I don't know how Sanyo did it, but I am glad they did. These are all high quality batteries, all 'Made in Japan', that look stylish [love the shades of blue] and work just as described.

A must buy for any household. I use them in wireless mouse, remotes, and my camera. You should too ~

This pack was created specifically for Costco stores, where it costs $25 (sometimes $21 on sale). You have to decide for yourself if the 50% markup is worth the convenience of not having to deal with Costco.

I bought two of this set to use in my Canon 580EX DSLR flash and Canon CP-E4 external flash power pack. The AA are blue and AAA are green, as these are the ones with 2000 cycle times with no hysteresis. I used 12 AA batteries for my flash system and the remaining cells to be used for other things like remote controls and wireless mice. I could not be more pleased. The flash recycle time is the fastest I've seen with any battery. This includes disposable alkaline lithium Energizer and Duracell AA cells. In one evening I was able to do nearly 600 flash shots without ever having to wait for the flash to recycle! I kept going, thinking "well, my flash may not fire this time since the batteries are loosing their charge." I knew the Eneloops would be better, but I didn't know it would be this much better. I wish I had gotten the Eneloops a couple of years ago. The charger does take several hours to recharge Eneloop cells and it would probably be best to get a high quality Maha PowerEx Charger like the C801D for a faster charge time. The great thing about the Eneloop batteries is that the voltage doesn't drop after several cycles of charge/discharge.

My only complaint is the packaging is so big and hard to open. Perhaps the packaging was intended for retail to prevent theft. - Aaa - Eneloop - Battery Charger - Nimh Batteries'
