Iphone4 Case - otterbox defender, iphone4 case

I waited anxiously for Otterbox to release this case and ordered mine within minutes of receiving the "Defender Released" e-mail. I received the case on Friday and I must admit, it did not disappoint.

First impressions: The case is of great quality and a lot of detail went into making it compatible with all the OEM "accessories". The holster is among the best I've seen for a phone of this size and works perfectly with the case.

After carrying it for two days (and this is already my 3rd iPhone 4 case - I am rough on my phones): The case is without a doubt the most durable I've seen for the iPhone 4 and lives up to the reputation that Otterbox has built over the years.

Cons: The case does add considerable bulk to the phone and may not be perfect for pocket carriers. It does include a holster which works great and can rotate for vertical or parallel carrying of the phone.

Miscellaneous: I have no complaints really, but I am left to wonder if the silicone "flaps" that cover the earphone and USB plug-ins could have been a little more user-friendly. Sometimes they are frustrating to get back into their proper "closed" position.

Edited one month after using: I am still extremely happy with the case. I have dropped my phones a few times already and though the case is starting to show signs the abuse I have provided it the phone still looks pristine! I opened up the case this morning to clean the phone etc and to my surprise there wasn't much to clean. With cases I've owned in the past I would have a forest of lint, dust etc. that would trap itself between the case and the phone. The Otterbox has minimized that debris!

I am uploading several photos showing the difference between a "bare" iPhone 4 and an iPhone 4 in the Defender case so everyone can get an idea of how much "protection" and in turn "bulk" this case adds to the phone.

Edited to add: Amazon removed my pictures when the placed the phone back in a "pre-order" status, I will re-upload them again once they allow. I'm not sure why they state "pre-order" when it should state "Back-ordered, will deliver in xx to xx weeks", but I digress. OtterBox Defender Case for iPhone 4 (White/Purple, Fits AT&T iPhone)

Otterbox defender for my iPhone 3Gs was the best thing I ever did for that phone! It fell into and was completely submerged in a 5 gallon pot of BBQ sauce - and rinsed off with the sprayer in the sink. Phone continued to operate flawlessly!

As soon as I bought iPhone 4 - I immediately ordered an otterbox case for it. It took over a month to arrive and when it finally did - I could immediately tell it did not offer the same amount of protection as the Otterbox for the 3Gs.

I'm constantly fighting the rubber covering -- if I pull it out of my pocket I have to push it back into place all the way around the phone.

The screen protector is better -- the bubbles are gone from the previous version. I like that.

The flaps that cover the charger port and headphone jack suck! They never stay in place and to get them to lock down is a pain. Debris can easily infiltrate into the case through these openings. I find that I have to take the phone completely out of the case and clean the phone and the case more often than I ever did with the other phone/otterbox.

Maybe they were just in a hurry to get a case that would fit the quick arrival of iPhone4. I hope the case is revamped and the thought is completed. I really need and want the kind of protection and rugged durability that the other case provided for 3Gs.

Regardless of what I hate about this case, it's still the BEST case that you can put on the new iPhone 4 if you're hard on your phone. Just wish it was better...

**** 02/12 update: I bought an AT&T case to get one fast at a discount and it works fine until the price drops on the universal case. The Verizon silent mode button is partially covered so if you use silent mode a lot and have big fingers, you might want to wait or buy from the manufacturer. The headphone jack doesn't align quite right with my Verizon phone, but just open the silicone port. And now this is a genuine five star review. I really like this case. It is sturdy and protective, looks stylish, feels comfortably grippy and it was easy to install the phone. Box directions are minimal but Otterbox has a simple video that takes you through it. *****

I just called Otterbox and a very nice lady in Customer Service says they have a universal design ready to fit both AT&T and Verizon phones, to be released 02/10/11. I suppose Amazon will have these as well. Hope they do all the same colors.

Important to know because the Verizon iPhone has some ports and controls in a slightly different place than its AT&T sister and this case would not fit both phones.

Just thought you should know. Glad I did some research before I bought this one. Yes, I know this isn't a real review but not everyone reads comments. At least I'm not one of those tiresome people who posts a one star review because something went wrong with the shipping. - Iphone4 Case - Otterbox Defender - Iphone 4 - Otterbox'

I had trouble finding a cord storage wheel which would accommodate 100 feet of 12 gauge extension cord. After contacting the manufacturer, they indicated that 100 feet of 12 gauge will just fit; which it does. It is definitely a timesaver as I previously spent many minutes untangling the extension cord. Designers Edge E-103 Cord Storage Wheel

I don't own this product (yet), although I do own the cheaper Home Depot one. But keep in mind that with all these products, you shouldn't run a high-draw device unless you unreel the cord all the way anyhow...a wrapped cord can get too hot.

Does the job, but it looks and acts the same as my orange 7 dollar one from Home Depot. The handle clips in but I don't bother. The one thing I do not like is that the bearings are TOO good. With the cheap plastic one, the cord would stay put. This one, it will unwind if there is any uneven weight, like the end of the cord. So I have wedge it somehow. Buy or keep the 7 dollar one.

I bought this along with my 100 ft outdoor cable from coleman, it's very light and you have to hold it with your feet to stop it from falling down and creating a big mess. The good part is that you can carry it around with just one hand. It would have been nice if they had a more intelligent cable holding system on the inside, so that you could have extended it from both ends.

I am sure this is a nice product, but not for the purpose I bought it for.

I bought a snow blower with a 100 foot outdoor cord,

You can't use this, just pulling on it would knock it on its side.

For light weight things, inside electrical perhaps ok.

There must be some trick to getting the cord wrapped on this thing that I don't know. I simply could not figure out how to be able to extend the cord to the wall socket and to the attached device. If I left a long bit so I could reach the socket, I couldn't turn the wheel to roll up the rest of the cord(and while trying, cut myself on the cheap plastic). Instead, I had to secure the female end, which means I'll have to move the unit to my appliance and whenever I want to move the shop vac, or whatever, I'll have to move the cord reel too. I thought all these things were supposed to make the job easier, but I was wrong. The stand on my other cord wheel is open on one side, which allows one end of the cord to stick out through a hole in the reel and allows easy wrapping, plus it's far better quality and has no sharp edges. I'll probably end up throwing this thing away. I could only get 50' of yellow cord around it anyway. Wrestling with the cord would be easier for me than trying to use this thing. I recommend spending a bit more and getting a unit that isn't so flimsy and limited in design.

I bought this in a package deal with a Toro snow thrower and a heavy duty cord. This reel is not heavy duty enough for the cord it was sold with. It'll do the job but I'd prefer something that feels more robust. - Yard - Electric Snow Thrower - Electric Snow Blower - Cord Reels'

Reconditioned Tools - nailer, framing nailers

This is the Cadillac of nail guns. Now that they make the offset full round head nails to go in the clipped head nail guns, you just can't beat this gun. The 100 nail magazine makes a big difference, you really notice how many fewer times you are reaching to refill the magazine. Also, the rafter hook works great. Toe-nailing tight spots is a little difficult, but I am very glad I bought this gun instead of one that shoots plastic collated nails. I was sick of the plastic pieces flying around and hitting me while I was working. The wire collated is a big improvement. Factory-Reconditioned Bostitch U/F28WW Clipped Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Framing Nailer with Magnesium Housing

I have been using the older and heavier version of this gun for a while. When it came time to get another one I was a bit hesitant about the magnesium housing. My arm however is overjoyed. It has just as much balls as the older version. I have never had any trouble with this gun. I prefer the wire weld nails so there really was no other gun for me.

This thing is nice and light, the bottom of the magazine has a plastic cover that is pretty chewed up. It also came with a nice dent on the side of the magazine where you slip the nails into the back. This was causing the spring bottom to 'catch' and stop about 1/3 from the top of the magazine. I straightened out the metal with a pair of needle nose pliers enough to get the spring to move up and down freely.

Judging the overall condition, I'd say this unit was used at a construction site and was dropped from a good height, which broke it. The fall caused the damage to the base of the magazine and dented the side of it as well and probably broke the air hose nipple (the nipple looks new now). There are chips and scratches all over the main body.

It's a nice gun to work with, the light weight is noticable making this thing feel almost like working with a finishing nailer. Toe's in very nicely, weird angles are usually not a big problem. Handles smaller nails and large nails equally well.

The only other thing I would mention is that for a home user like me, nails aren't all that easy to find. The hardware man at Home Dpeot was baffled by my nail gun requirements, "28 degree wire collated? huh? We don't have anything like that...". Lowes didn't have any either. Ace does carry them (wierd in my opinion), but only one or two types, so you will have to order what you need. Probably better to special order them at a store than buy online and pay extra for shipping.

Have used this nailer for several months now and am very satisified.

No trouble finding nails as they are carried at local Home Depot and online from Amazon.

Pros: Works very well, no jams yet, for low volume usage a small compressor works ok, nails are available.

Cons: hard to use in tight places, exhaust will stir up a lot of dust in confined spaces, lost protective tip in about a week, falls off too easily.

I'd purchased this nailer from CPO which sold them reconditioned with a full factory 1-Year Warranty. Mine arrived and appeared like new, with hardly a scratch upon it. The only issue I'd noted was the nailer was missing the hanger-attachment which allows the nailer to be hung from a rafter when not in use. CPO assured me they'd remedy the situation, and a new attachment was sent within a few days. Overall I really enjoy the nailer, it's intuitive in its use, and a breeze to set the nails depth. It does have some kick-back, but it's not unmanagable, and I suppose it's to be expected when you trade weight in lieu of recoil. As for someone elses comments about the nailer be extinct due to Bostitch not having round headed nails... They're completely wrong! I researched this prior to purchasing the nailer, as I didn't want to buy something I couldn't use (i.e., not to code). Bostich offers round-head nails that are wire-collated @ 28 degrees and I'd purchased a box of them @ Lowes (same price as the 1/2 head, similar length). Overall, I'm quite happy, as I'd saved over $75 from our local merchants, and I have a nail gun that works like new!

I'm an avid DIY'er, not a professional so this is from that point of view. The gun showed up, looked new. Worked flawlessly. I've used it about a dozen times to build a deck and some knee walls. I have always been hesitant to buy a framing nailer, but so glad I did. I've had it about a month now and not a single issue. The only small issue I will note it the release for the nails (pull back to put in nails and then push the level to release the lock) is a bit stiff. I don't think it's defective, and it works, just takes a little doing. I really like this product and would highly recommend.

I bought this nailer before starting a large deck project. I've used a brad nailer for years, but never a framing nailer. I was totally geeked out by this thing! It must have cut my construction time in half. Nails and accessories are readily available at Lowes, Menards, etc. - Reconditioned Tools - Framing Nailers - Nail Gun - Nailer'

Tungsten Carbide - ring, mens rings

For those of us who buy Tungsten for the lasting quality, know that carbon fiber also has the same traits of being close to indestructible. With this ring, I thought I would have them both but, whatever material they use to cover the carbon fiber is not. It is a soft epoxy type of sealer. Still a nice ring, but you should know what your buying. Yes the sealer does scratch with normal wear... 8MM Men's Tungsten Carbide Ring Wedding Band W/ Carbon Fiber Inaly size 5

I love this ring, and my boyfriend loves it just as much. I had one con but now I thought of two. Tungsten as a metal doesn't scratch which is great... but my boyfriend (who is a PE teacher and is constantly using his hands) has noticed little scratches on the carbon inlay part where there is no tungsten. That would be one con... they're barely noticeable because of the dark carbon fiber but he has a crazy knack for details since he used to do graphic design. My other con which is actually more of a warning... make sure you have your man's exact ring size bc I ended up getting one that's too big and took it to the jeweler to get resized.... the jeweler told me that sadly you cannot resize the ring because of the type of metal it is so I had to exchange it (not a big deal bc the company was super accomodating and helpful).

Overall... I'm super satisfied with this ring for the price and style and fit and everything else! too bad they don't make them for women haha! I think tungsten is the man equivalent to platinum for women!

The stunning design and high tech materials of this ring offer a unique and affordable alternative to classic gold. The fit and finish quality is superb. The ring looks dramatically better in real life vs. the picture on the web. I am not only completely satisfied with the ring; I also have very high praise for the customer service level offered by Metal Masters.

This ring looks and feels awesome! The comfort fit does what it says and makes wearing it comfortable. Ordered on a Sat and received it on Wed -- super fast considering I live in GA. This ring looks GREAT!

A word on the size - since many reviewers say that these run big. They actually do NOT run big but they may FEEL like it. The company explained it this way and they were dead on it. Reason is...the 'comfort fit' means that the inside of the ring is curved or convex. This makes the ring very comfortable but does give the sensation that it could slide off. Couple that with Tungsten being rather heavy and I can see where people get the idea that they run big. If possible, go to a jewelry store or the jewelry department and try on a few different sizes of rings that have the comfort fit and you will know what size you want. They really do run TRUE to size, not big.

Now, go ahead and order one - you'll be glad you did.

I first found this ring at Jarred (jewelry store). They wanted around $300.00 dollars for the ring and it is the exact same ring. I decided to come home and check out the reviews on the ring before I purchased it for my husband. This is his wedding band if I expected him to wear it for the rest of his life I figured I better know what people were saying! When I saw the reviews online and the price on here I decided to get it and I am so glad I did. It looks better in person than it does in the pictures shown and my husband loves how comfortable the ring is. He is not a ring person and he keeps saying how much he loves the ring! I am very happy with the ring and would recommend it. Other reviews stated that the middle had scratched on the ring but we have had no issues! If your husband works outside a lot or with tools I could see where it may be an issue but for 30 to forty bucks buy a couple! You will still be saving tons!

I bought the 8MM Men's Tungsten Carbide Ring Wedding Band W/ Carbon fiber inlay. Ring arrived fast and was in perfect condition. price was less than I paid at the local mall (because I lost the first one), overall very happy with my purchase.

I bought my brother the same ring last year, but it was stolen from his locker at the gym. He loved it so much (especially with the matching necklace and bracelet) that I had to get him another one because he couldn't find it online. The ring can scratch easily, so be mindful of it. Otherwise, it's a great look for daily or special occasion wear.

My husband's job is very labor intensive, and he uses a metal hook with his left hand to move crates all day long. So this ring is knocking and banging against metal 5 days a week, and we have yet to find a scratch on it. Tungsten Carbide is not only very rich-looking, but is also extremely durable. Even if we had a budget of $1000 to spend on a wedding band, we still would opt for the Tungsten Carbide. - Tungsten Carbide - Ring - Mens Rings - Comfort Fit'

Internal Hard Drive - internal hard drive, protective case

I ordered 4 of these covers and im about to place another order for 2.

I want to keep my HDDs safe since i do a lot of switching using Thermal Take's Dock.

Please note that this is not a shock resistant cover.

It only keeps your 3.5 HDD drive safe from dust and stuff falling on it.

The HDD fits firmly inside with no movement.

The material is hard see through plastic.

I find my HDDs to be safer in these covers rather than being outside with no protection at all.

The stacking ability is very nice, i managed to stack 4 covers on top of each other on a shelf.

Great product.

Hope this review helps. IO Crest 3.5-Inch IDE/SATA HDD Storage Box SY-ACC35009 (Orange)

These sure beat the factory anti-static bags for storing your drives! I shopped around and found these to be the best value and I'm happy with the three I have, though I wonder how long the plastic latches will last. They close tightly and immobilize the drive within the case, even if it's a low-profile drive that leaves a lot of space between the drive and the side walls.

Unfortunately, the little Styrofoam pad in the lid that provides the tension to stop the drive from moving is the only padding in the case. t's somewhat obvious by looking at the product, but it's worth mentioning that these case offer little shock protection. But since that's not really what they are advertised to do, it's forgivable.

I bought some white ones by another brand and they bent inward, making it hard to slide in the drive without scraping it. These are stiff and square, and excellent value for the money. I bought three more to replace the old white ones.

This box works ok, but it's pretty basic. The little bit of padding in the lid is not enough to protect the drive, it just keeps it from sliding around. The boxes don't stack well, and there's no provision for labeling the boxes. At $6 a box, I feel it's overpriced but it's the least expensive HD box on Amazon. Shipping from RedTagTown was fast.

I was looking for ways to store internal hard drives and was about to buy those anti static bags, but luckily I saw this. I too use a hard drive dock and this little case is cheap and does a good job of storing your internal hard drives when they aren't in use. The case feels solid and the hard drive is a perfect fit with no wiggle room.

The only thing I didn't like is that the plastic latch is a little hard to open when you don't have longer finger nails. But you can argue that it keeps the case from accidentally opening so that is a positive too. - Internal Hard Drive - Hard Drive Case - Sata - Protective Case'

Usb To Parallel Adapter Cable - cable, usb

I bought this cable so that my 7-year old HP LaserJet 1100A printer would work with my new HP computer with Vista...even HP told me that there was nothing that would make the printer work! It DOES work and no need to override the printer driver already in the new Vista software! Cables To Go 16899 USB To DB25 IEEE-1284 Parallel Printer Adapter Cable, 6 Feet

My PC recently died and I replaced it with a new iMac with Mac OSX 10.5. I love my LaserJet 4 since it is so reliable and cheap to operate, and didn't want to rely exclusively on my inkjet printer. I decided to give this cable a try since it had good reviews. I took a risk using it on a Mac since it didn't state that it supported Macs, but it ended up working perfectly.

Installation was a breeze. Note that this cable does not plug directly into the printer, but plugs into the computer end of the existing parallel cable. I'm OK with that since it gave me more length. When I plugged it in, the Mac recognized it as a new printer with a generic driver. All I needed to do was change the driver to the HP LaserJet 4 driver and it worked fine.

I initially tried plugging this into a USB hub, but it only worked for a couple of sheets and then gave me a message that the printer was offline. I then plugged it directly into the Mac and it has worked perfectly since then. I also have another Mac and a PC on the network and they recognize the printer and print fine.

This cable is an ADAPTER for your existing printer cable. It will not plug into a centronics port. However, when combined with my existing printer cable, it worked great! I didn't even have to take any extra steps to add my HP Laserjet 6 printer to Windows XP.

I have an HP Laserjet 4L which is about 14 years old and I really did not want to part with it so I bought this parallel printer cable. I have four laptops, three with Windows XP and one with Vista Business. Like a good customer I followed the instructions that came with the cable but I could NOT get anything to print. I did a little research on the web and found the solution:

1. Do not install any printers or drivers or anything. Windows already has the drivers for HP printers.

2. Make sure your computer is turned OFF.

3. Plug the cable into the printer (printer is ON).

4. Plug the USB end of the cable into your computer.

5. Turn the computer on and the computer will do everything for you.

Verify that your printer is installed and print a test page. Set the printer as the default printer if needed. It was that EASY. This worked on each of my laptops. I'm really happy with this product - it was inexpensive, the print quality is excellent, and the print jobs even come out a bit faster!

The best advice I can give someone is to do just what you are right now: read online reviews! Lots of them. Go to the online sellers that have reviews (amazon, buy, new egg). You will eventually have to realize that the well-known name brands are more likely to work, but failures seem to be totally random and unpredictable. So be prepared to return it for a refund. I really think the manufacturers must be aware of the problems and they are choosing not to warn us.

I tried this adapter on four different printers and it only worked on one, which was, luckily, the one I really NEEDED it to work on. I also bought a cheap, no-name adapter off eBay which would not work at all and had to be returned.

I have a PowerMac running Tiger (OS X 10.4) and a Apple Laserwriter. Initially, print jobs would print, but only the first one after powering on the printer; subsequent jobs would fail. This was unacceptable. It turned out, however, that I needed to reinstall and update the OS on my MAC, and after that, printing was just fine with this adapter. There is a freeware print buffer enhancer called 'usbtb' which supposedly assists in this situation; I tried this and it prevented me from printing altogether!

I have a friend who has an iMAC running Leopard (OS X 10.5) and he has 3 HP printers. He and I were hopeful that this adapter would work for him and we decided to test it before he bought one. The Laserjet 2100 would just print blank pages. The old LaserJet 2P+ would not do anything. The LaserJet 4L would occasionally print something, but most jobs would not print and we could not really find any rhyme or reason behind this. So my experience is 25%, but even that is seeing it optimistically.

What's wrong with these things? All I can figure is that printer drivers/firmware at each end of the cable are not all that robust and have some tight communication timings such that an adapter like this will introduce slight time delays that can throw things off.

I purchased a new Dell computer with Vista and was surprised to see that it didn't have the 25 pin printer port as all my previous computers had. I have an HP Laserjet 1100 and didn't want to have to throw it out given it works perfectly fine. This adapter cable was easy to install and Vista had no problems identifying it. The adapter comes with instructions which you must follow to properly install the cable and attach the printer. Worth the money!!! - Cable - Printer - Parallel - Usb'

Brokeback Mountain - gay dvd, drama

"Brokeback Mountain" is the story of two all-man cowboys that find love in each other. The film is unique because it is not the typical gay stereo-type; perhaps it is the first mainstream film ever made on this topic?

Ennis Del Mar (played by the very talented Heath Ledger) is a very quiet and rough around the edges kind of man. He doesn't show his feelings very well and is somewhat of a loner. Jack Twist (played by the equally accomplished Jake Gyllenhaal) is more vocal about his feelings and emotions, but can still be pushed around (although I did enoy it when he stood up to his bigoted father-in-law).

What makes this tale so bitter is that their's is a forbidden love. It is reminiscent of "Titanic" or Romeo and Juliet. Please keep in mind that the picture took place during 60's, 70's, and early 80's, in Middle-America where no one was openly homosexual, much less a cowboy. But, despite all their differences and personal demons both men loved each other more than life itself.

Anyone with connected eyeballs can tell that Ennis and Twist were deeply in love (this was not an affair, rather it was a serious relationship that lasted over two decades). It was proof that Twist loved Ennis when they were on the hill getting ready to leave after he playfully lassoed and punched Ennis. Twist looked so sad to have intentionally inflicted pain on his lover. But Ennis holed off and punched him, because no one was gonna make Ennis his fool. And it was evident that Ennis loved Twist when he sobbed like a baby on the street after they departed Brokeback Mountain separately.

The cinematography in this picture was absolutely stunning. The soundtrack is also amazing.

I saw this movie over a month ago and I still can't get it out of my mind. It is a very full-toned and haunting picture. To say that it was the very best film that I have ever seen would simply trivialize it, because it is much more than just a movie. Brokeback Mountain (Widescreen Edition)

Brokeback Mountain is the tale of two cowboys, Ennis and Jack, who ranch sheep together one summer in the 1960's. One cold night, the two men huddle together in a tent to keep warm, and an explosive physical relationship erupts. They both agree that the night was a "one-shot deal," but somehow the two men keep finding one another again, throughout the summer. After the ranching gig ends, both men nonchalantly tell each other goodbye, but the separation is painful for both. Cut to four years later - the men have gone their separate ways, married, had kids. But when they happen to see each other again, old feelings almost violently assert themselves, leading to a 20-year relationship that is by turns passionate, furtive, and tortured.

First of all, performances by Heath Ledger (Ennis) and Jake Gyllenhaal (Jack) are unbelievable. I cannot adequately describe the performance work in this film. Ledger, who I'd only seen in fairly superficial roles - teen movies, not-so-great romantic comedies - totally transforms himself for this role. Tight-lipped, sun-baked, and shamed, his Ennis provides the tension in the film that powers the plot through to its final, saddening conclusion. Gyllenhaal plays Jack, the more honest, self-accepting of the two men, with an emotion that is strong enough to be real but restrained enough to epitomize the tough guy image of a Western. Both lend a haunting quality to the various ways in which Ennis and Jack try to live their lives, denied of the one thing they truly want.

At the end of the day, Brokeback Mountain is a love story, the tale of two people who love each other but can't be together. This is not untrod territory in Hollywood. However, hanging this familiar storyline on a less-than-mainstream social topic for the movies - homosexuality - proves to be very powerful. The intensity of the two men's feelings for one another, and the delayed gratification that is the bedrock of their relationship, bring their experience into sharp focus for the viewer. Beautiful scenes of mountainous countryside and a strong, simple acoustic guitar accompaniment add to the poignancy. I just cannot recommend it highly enough. It will haunt you. It will make you think. It will move you.

Fair warning - there is one brief sex scene between the two primary characters. If you don't warm to that idea, I recommend getting the film on DVD and fast-forwarding through that part. It is not worth missing the movie over.

The last thing I expected to find on a Monday night was a small, indie movie theatre sold out of tickets to see what has been termed the "gay cowboy movie". Yet, when I went to see Brokeback Mountain last night, I found myself one of the last moviegoers to find a seat in a theatre overflowing with people from all walks of life.

Upon first hearing of this movie, I considered it laughable to have an entire film set around two cowboys falling in love, for it seemed, at best, to be a chick-flick with a political agenda. However, my predication's were quickly discarded. This film is much undeserving of it's "gay cowboy" stereotype, as it cannot convey the emotional aspect which will inevitably overcome the most callous of moviegoers. For what this movie provides is a heart wrenching tale of two thoroughly complex men, struggling with societal pressures and their desire to be themselves.

The story told in this film is of two men, who meet while working one summer herding sheep on top of, what else, but Brokeback Moutnain. Ennis Del Marr (played by Heath Ledger) and Jack Twist (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) find themselves with idle time and only each other to fill it. They spend days riding around on horses and nights sitting around a campfire, talking and drinking whisky. Ennis rarely speaks, and when he does, his words are simple. Jack, on the other hand, is more outgoing in nature. At this time, his spirit seems playful, yet experienced, making for a sharp contrast with that of Ennis. In a surprising turn, for both the viewers and the characters themselves, Jack and Ennis find themselves filled with a primal urges which fuels their first sexual encounter which is void of seduction. They next morning, they both assert that they are not "queer", yet continue with the relationship, never speaking of their bond, perhaps because they knew no words to define it. When it comes time for them to part, you can see anguish on both character's faces, believing that they will never see the other again. Both characters marry andestablish families before they meet again. When they find each other four years after their work on Brokeback Mountain, they are instantly drawn together again and establish a relationship where they meet a few times a year, for fishing trips where no fish is ever caught. Their story spans 20 years, culminating in a hauntingly tragic ending.

Credit must given to the actors in this film, who truly gave the meaning to each and every character. Much attention should be paid to Heath Ledger, an actor with potential who could never seem to break away from the teen demographic for which his prior films have been marketed. His portrayal of Ennis Del Marr is heartbreaking. With few words, he was able to reveal a array of emotions. With just one look, he could communicate more then words could ever describe. His performance is the reason I cannot get this film out of my mind, a full day since I was present in the theatre. Ledger has found the small intricacies which make this character come to life. The low, rasping voice which seems to come from it's disuse, as well as the slight hunch which hides Ledger's height and conveys his characters venerability. A simple shot of Ledger's soulful eyes can tell the viewers all they need to know about his emotional duress, and will surely leave every onlooker teary-eyed. The way in which he clings to a shirt of Jack's, still upon it's hanger was able to say all that Ennis could not express with words, and was one of the most poignant scenes in the film. In supporting roles, Michelle Williams (as Alma), Anne Hathaway (as Lureen), and Jake Gyllenhaal all do incredible jobs as well, each bringing an intense believability to the roles in which they portrayed. The melancholy nature with which this film concludes, does so, in part because of the exquisite changes each actor brings to their character.

It has been a day since I experianced this movie, yet I can still feel it's ramifications churning in the pit of my stomach. The heartache felt by Ennis Del Marr has yet to leave my being, as my mind reels. This film brings to life a story which will not quickly leave me, one which was so realistic in manner I feel almost as if I had experianced it all myself. Do not be quick to write this movie off as just one of "gay cowboys," or a movie with a political agenda. This is a movie with heart, compassion and lose. Circulatory Clamps - trouser socks, circulatory clamps

Like the socks but the description of the colors is wrong. The colors should be listed as chocolate/chocolate/khaki, and not Khaki/Chocolate/Bone As there are two dark brown socks and one beige one in the pack. I realize now that the picture is more accurate than the description. Won't stop me from wearing or enjoying them. Just thought you should know your written description is not accurate. Thanks!!! Canyon - spark plugs, iridium

My car was running so bad and I was just about to take it to the repair shop.

At the last minute I thought I would try these plugs because of the rebate.

Now my car runs very smooth and has a little more power and never took it to the shop. SUPER PLUGS!!! Bosch (4514) HGR8MQI0 4 Platinum IR Fusion Spark Plug, Pack of 1

By far, these are the best spark plugs I have ever tried. Never have I felt a noticeable power increase after changing spark plugs and I follow my maintenance schedules like my life depended on it. I always use Bosch Platinum Plugs cause they stay clean throughout their life and the addition of Iridium is a plus. I'm not saying that everyone will experience the same thing (I think they will), but this is what happened to me. I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.7 Hemi. And for anyone that does not know, this bad boy takes 16 spark plugs. For anyone wanting to know what is the best spark plug out there for their vehicle, do the research. I did and I got these spark plugs.

I think these plugs are excellent. I bought them because of a rebate incentive. My mileage average increased 2mpg average no joke. I would recommend these to anyone needing plugs. I will definatly buy again.

What a difference with these plugs! The improvement really shows. My car was running rough in idle, it is now running smooth, it has improved gas mileage and it has more power. I was hesitant of buying them but I am very glad I did. Highly recommend them.

If you want to increase your fuel mileage and have increased power with lower emissions, this plug will do it all. I'm not a tree hugger, but when I can be green without being radical, I will, and this is one way to do it. These plugs are long lasting, and well worth the price you pay because of the savings you'll get.

Installed on chevy trailblazer 03 4x4 from champion plugs. The old plugs were in decent shape, I only replaced them in hopes of getting my check engine light to go off. Upped mileage about 3-5%. No noticeable difference in acceleration, and still having issues with the check engine light. On to next fix...Would recommend the product.

Bought these for a 2005 Trailblazer (90,000 mile) which resulted in constant random misfiring (p0300), hesitation, and poor mpg. Decided to go back to the OEM ACDelco plugs and everything runs great now. - Iridium - Spark Plugs - Canyon - Spark Plug'

Digital Antenna - dtv antenna, hdtv antenna

I bought this little antenna to replace my TV's old rabbit ears. I got a Tivax converter box back in February and while I could get quite a number of channels (I live in a rural area), the rabbit ears just weren't picking up a good signal. The rabbit ears had to be turned to pick up the best signal on each individual channel. I purchased this partly from the reviews, partly from having good luck with the Tivax CB and the price. I got it overnight (and didn't pay for overnight shipping, thanks Amazon!) and plugged it in and wow....great reception clear picture, all channels reporting "best" signal without having to move this around. For the reviewers who commented that they broke the antenna off easily, they must have been really really rough with this unit, because while I wouldn't recommend using excessive force, it appears to be put together rather nicely. I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone on a budget. I live in a fairly remote rural area in Virginia and with all the hills and moutains, I still get excellent reception and 13 channels (10 with the old rabbit ears). Tivax DT-01 Amplified Indoor Digital TV Antenna (Black)

As part of the transition to DTV broadcasting I got a Tivax converter box along with this antenna. It works great! Before using this combination with the old rabbit ears antenna and regular analog TV there were a few channels with snow. Now I can receive over 20 channels over the air for free with clear pictures and sound.

I purchased the Tivax STB-T8 and this antenna (Tivax DT-01) and I'm having real good results. I turn the antenna amp on but leave the gain all the way down because I live about two miles from the John Hancock building and the Sears tower in downtown Chicago. That's where most all broadcasts originate in this city and with too much gain the picture will freeze and/or pixelate. I would recommend this.

I live in an area that's on the outskirts of the suburbs and approaching a rural area, and the biggest challenge has been trying to find the right directionals and gain amount to bring in channels. Some channels come in only if the amp is turned off, others I have to finagle the antenna around to find the right position and gain amount to bring them in with no pixellation.

it may be the wrong one for my area but since I live in LA with no tall buildings or mountains right next to my condo I thought it might be OK. Nope. I lost one channel completely, it takes frequent fiddling to maintain the signal for even the best ones and it seems to lose the signal just when they are going to identify the bad guy, give the real motive for the crime, tell where the epicenter is, or who will dance next week. a very frustrating piece of equiptment I finally gave up on and replaced.

Since the digi transition, I've tried 3 indoor antennas(the so called multidirectional frame looking antenna,,JUNK for me)..This oldschool looking Tivax (bunny ears and loop but with a digital circuit) seemed to have had more INITIAL power than the other 2...OK,,That was a good headstart for me,,so,,I researched (on the net) and learned that where I place and how I adjust the antenna are VERY important..

I live 35 miles away from tha towers and all I was expecting were 2 channels, but, after finding tha SWEET SPOT in my room & turning up tha gain (you may have to buy an extended RF cable for placement options),,this antenna pulled in 4 uhf channels..I wanted ch13 which is a vhf channel.I learned that fully extended rods don't always pull in the vhf channel(I had mine at 30 inches),but, just by lowering the antenna rods down to 12 to 18 inches & adjusting,,pulled in ch13 for me...

All in all,,It's where you live,,the area is very important..I live in an area where hills and other houses can easily block any signal..That's why I'm surprised that I'm getting 6 sometimes 7 clear channels now..This antenna is Great for the price...

The old school design(Bunny & Loop) really gave me more options during adjustments..

Once you find the right spot in your room, keep it there and adjust...

I purchased this to go with my Channel Master CM7000 as a process of eliminating my cable service. This works great, although, its too powerful - when powered on it gets worse signal. So, I have no complaints. good product although I wish there was an indicator for the orientation. I still don't know which way its pointing...

If you are looking for a great antenna for your converter box...search NO further this is IT!!! I did not know (and they never said) that to receive a signal with your box ya gonna need a digital antenna as well. I was skeptical about getting one, but I was getting NO signal whatsoever. SO i took the leap abd bought this one here, and as soon As i plugged it in it worked great, I get all my channels, its easy to install, it is nice and clean, and neat looking, and it works like NOBODY'S business, I love it love it LOVE it. - Tivax - Dtv Antenna - Antenna - Hdtv Antenna'

Camera Nikon Cool Pix - camera nikon cool pix, nikon camera case

Do NOT buy this product if you are planning on putting a Nikon COOLPX L22 camera in here. It does NOT fit, even though Amazon advertises it to go along w/the this model camera. You cannot zip the case closed without forcing the zipper which could cause damage to a sensitive electronic device like the Nikon camera. Complete waste of money! Black Hard Case for Compact Digital Cameras

This hard case is awesome! I am a Marine and deployed in Afghanistan. This is the best thing I can think of to use for multiple environments. I take pictures as often as possible so my camera is in and out of the case all the time. It has been dropped, walked on, buried in sand and still out performs any other case I have had. Thanks to this case my Nikon camera is still in pristine condition. Oh, and the case is doing great also.Nikon Coolpix S570 12MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Black)

This case is sold with the L22 Coolpix as being correct size. It is not, it is too small, way too small. Trying to zip it shut sometimes pops the battery compartment open and the zipper scrapes the side of the camera trying to go around the corner. The case is not usable except as a temp before I trash it and buy one at Wal-Mart.

Bought this for a Nikon s3000 camera and it fits like a glove. Very sturdy case and like that it attaches to your belt loop. Would highly recommend this case for ease of use. Shipping was very fast from Amazon.

I like this case more than the Nikon Coolpix 9413 Leather Carrying Case that came in a grouped package. I like it because it totally surrounds the camera (Nikon Coolpix S640) whereas the Nikon 9413 has holes in the corner that can let is dust and (God-forbid) water/moisture.

There is a shoulder strap and a metal hook for a belt or belt hoop. Without the shoulder strap it's not really bulky.

I got it for $3.95.

Ordedred through Amazon.com. When I recieved it I opened the packaging and then tried to open the case but the zipper on the case would not budge. After a few tries it moved but not like a zipper should. I said I'll put some bees wax on it and it shoud be OK. The next thing I did was to try to put the neck cord (included) on it. What do you know - the snap broke and was unfixable. Now having a worthless case for my camera I decided to send it back. The catch, I have to pay the shipping which was about the cost of the item. Bottom line is, the only good place for this case is the trash can. "Buyer Beware"

We bought this for our Nikon Coolpix S6000 and it worked great the first few days. Slowly the zipper failed and the camera could not zip securely into the case. The zipper isn't a high quality zipper (such as a ykk) and it just isn't durable enough to perform. Got us through our short vacation, the straps and clip were nice features, however it is useless without the zipper and must now be replaced. Also, don't loose a SDHC card by storing it in the internal camera case pocket (when the zipper fails the card may fall out).

This case is hard and protective but barely big enough to fit my L20 Coolpix with the hand strap attached. No way to carry any extra batteries which is a bit of a hassle. Otherwise a great value and well constructed. Shipping was prompt.

I purchased the Nikon S 80 for my wife for Xmas. It was recomended by Nikon to use the "Black Hard Case for compact cameras.

Well the camera won't fit in the case, its to long. And Amazon won't exchange or refund my $ - Nikon Coolpix - Nikon Camera Case - Camera Nikon Cool Pix - Camera Case'

Video Production - headphone splitter, y cable

This Belkin splitter perfectly split a stereo headphone jack into two stereo headphone jacks. The sound is great, it appears well built, and all the connections are solid. I can't ask for more.

Note that the image above is incorrect. The headphone splitter is actually all black, and looks much better for it. Belkin F8V234 Speaker and Headphone Splitter

The item is unusable as a splitter with 2 sets of stereo headphones - the white jack connects to left channel (tip) only and the red jack connects to right channel (ring) only. Yet a careful look at the jacks provided shows they are stereo jacks.

Frankly, I'm not sure what the application is intended to be...I'm unable to come up with any use for it, unless you're a couple who happen to be hearing-impaired in opposite ears.

I ordered this thinking that i would get a splitter so that i could use two headphones for one jack. All the product did was split the audio into a left and right channel. I could only hear the left side of my headphone that was connected to the white side and vice versa.

I was specifically looking for a left-right channel splitter, just like the picture; one regular stereo 3.5mm jack to two separate 3.5mm jacks - one red and one white, for the left and right channels. Many reviewers complained about this cable only splitting the audio into the two separate channels, and that is exactly what I was looking for: a left-right splitter.

I ordered this assuming I would receive the pictured product, the same one the reviewers were complaining about. What I got was a simple stereo Y-splitter, which isn't what I needed or wanted to purchase.

If this seller actually has any 3.5mm left-right splitters, I would love to know and would gladly purchase one.

Like the previous reviewer, I received an all-black splitter.

Every couple of days, I lose the left channel of my speakers. I have to fully unplug and replug the connector to the splitter to get the sound working again. I believe it's the splitter because this does not happen when I don't use the splitter.

When it is working, it sounds fine, but I'm no audiophile. Oh, well. Three dollars.

This is a jack splitter, works fine, and though i do have a use for this (thus the 3 stars), this is not what i intended when i ordered it.

What i was looking for was a 3.5mm to RCA Stereo Female Cable, which is what the picture details, this is not one of those, this is merely a jack splitter, which in itself is fine, however if your like me and aren't overly experienced in tech terminologies, you might look at the picture and purchase the wrong product like i did, so be aware of what this is.

The product is 5 stars, however amazon get's 1 star for not showing the actual product, and thus the 3 stars.

I've only had the product about a month, but it's working as expected and performing fine. I can now have both my computer's speaker combo and the transmitter for my wireless headphones plugged into the same audio jack on my computer, depending on my listening preference at any given moment. (One of my computer's 2 audio jacks got messed up, that's why I needed to buy this product.) Well worth the money spent, IMO.

I really needed this to share music with a friend. After I plugged it in, it worked but was distorting the music. I would consider a higher quality one but if you are looking for an inexpensive headphone splitter, this is OK for a gift or for just sharing music with a friend. - Headphone Splitter - Audio - Cables - Y Cable'

Pur Water Filter - pur horizontal faucet mount, faucet water filters

I purchased this filter about a year ago, and it works just fine.

Pros:

- Saves money over buying bottled water

- Convenient: don't have to lug bottled water into the house, and don't have to throw out the empty containers

- Decent looking: nice shiny chrome finish

- Filters last for many months, and are easy to replace (just buy online).

Cons:

- Filtered water pours out more slowly than unfiltered water. There is a switch to select filtered or unfiltered water. Unfiltered water will pour out as normal, but filtered water will pour out more slowly. To be exact, I just checked mine, and it pours at a rate of 1 fluid oz./sec. This will feel really slow at first, but since you probably do a lot of multitasking in the kitchen, you quickly get used to filling a container with water while you do something else for a few seconds.

- You are attaching a big thing on the end of your faucet: this reduces the clearance between your faucet and the bottom of the sink and may obstruct other sink activities that you currently take for granted. For me, this made it more difficult to clean or fill with water a tall pot that I like to use.

Hope this helps

Just so you know, this filter isn't stainless steel, it's brushed plastic that looks like stainless steel. When I installed it the unit's adapter leaked constantly and I couldn't tighten it up enough to stop it. I returned it after that and exchanged it for the same model in "chrome" which is a few dollars cheaper but otherwise exactly the same unit. It still leaks a bit but my water tastes better now and doesn't have as much of a chlorine smell as it used to. There's still a trace of piped water taste but at least I feel better about drinking it knowing that most of the contaminants are filtered out. It's a great idea for temporary installations but is not as good as an undersink water filter. It's a little bulky for the faucet so it interferes with dishwashing and I miss my swivelling aerator which can't be attatched now. An undersink filter with spigot would serve much better for long term installations. All in all it's good for the price and the electronic filter life indicator is pretty neat! It's done wonders for my local water which is not great to begin with.

I have owned PUR faucets for over two years now and the story with all of them is the same: the collar that connects to the faucet broke on each of the 4 mounts I owned including this same model. At first I figured it may simply be a defective model but now I am convinced PUR makes substandard products. I love the filtered water that come out of it, I just hate the fact that they break so easily. Here's my tip to PUR: PAY YOUR MECHANICAL ENGINEERS BETTER. Now I am left with a few expensive 3 stage filters and I have no choice but to buy another one of these crappy things. Fool me once shame on PUR, fool me 5 times...I must be an idiot.

This is a really good water filter but reading many of the comments I have some opinions to them.

Leakage issues:

Alright this is a no brainer, the attachment to your faucet, if your hand tightening when you install it, its going to get loose. turning the whole filter while its on the faucet left or right loosens it.

Solution: attach it with a wrench, or if your using the extension for the inner faucet tighten that area too. also wrap plumbers tape on threads that are on your fixture. it should solve the problem. also don't over tighten.

Price:

People say that its expensive, they are priced well all around stores, I got one for 15 at target, and they sell one at costco with 2 filters for less than the price of a single unit online with only 1 filter. also a brita single stage filter with container is around 25 dollars and takes up a lot of space in the fridge. you can just get nalgene bottles and bottle it in your fridge from the tap.

Compared to other filters, the 3 stage is the best price vs. cleaning quality. there are other units that are pricier like 5 stage or reverse osmosis, but at that end of the scale it is unnoticeable in difference esp. if you live in the USA.

Filter speed:

filters are supposed to last any where from from 2-3 months. if your water is dirty (it might come from the pipes) it will obviously wear out sooner. so what if you have to change it every month or 2, is your health worth it? over all its still cheaper than bottled water and much less of an impact on the environment using it. (plastic waste and cost of transportation and packaging)

If your water speed is really slow or barley a trickle its time to change the filter. the filtering process does take some time but it shouldn't be that slow.

Other problems:

it does add on some bulk onto your faucet and may block sink activities, cant really do much about that unless you have a faucet that moves.

you shouldn't run hot water though it, it destroys the filter. try to avoid that. - Pur Horizontal Faucet Mount - Water Filter - Water Filters - Faucet Water Filters'
