Lens Accessories - flashes, flash
I have both this and the Opteka SB-110. There is really no comparison between the quality of the two. The only somewhat nice feature of the Opteka is the custom sized gels. In every way, the Fotodiox is superior. The quality of construction and quality of diffusion is much higher. This is a continuous piece of fabric with metallic lining to reduce light loss which will save you batteries in the long run. It comes with a zippered bag to keep the diffuser screen clean and the velcro strap is sewn to prevent misplacement. The images with direct flash have very soft lighting and natural white balance. I'm really happy with this purchase and I think you will be too. I may buy one for each of my other flashes. Fotodiox 8"x12" Softbox for Nikon Flash, Canon Speedlight, for Nikon SB-600, SB-800, SB-900 Flash, Canon Speedlite 380EX, 430EX, 430EX II, 550EX, 580EX, 580EX II, Vivita Flash, Sunpack, Nissin,Sigma, Sony, Pentax, Olympus, Panasonica Lumix Flashes
I bought this softbox in two different sizes; 6"x8" and 8"x12"
They're both well made and do an adequate job of softening the light from the flash unit.
The only problem I've had is securing the end of the softbox using the supplied velcro strap. If I stretch it around the flash head and secure it tightly it tends to twist the rear end of the softbox. This is not a major problem but is sometimes annoying.
This soft box is far better than I was expecting for it's price, to be quite honest. I was pleased with the fact that I did NOT have to put velcro on my flash to get this to stay on. It has a very firm grip and stays on the flash perfectly. It comes with a zippered bag, which I wasn't expecting. I am very pleased with the quality of the softbox!
For twenty bucks, it's hard to beat this investment in lighting-on-the-go. It's well made, attaches securely to the flash (the sewn-in strap is a nice touch), and softens the light very effectively. It's small enough to handhold without strain or awkwardness. A cheap radio trigger or some other off-camera flash triggering mechanism, a flash, and one of these things, and you have soft light for portraits and other moderate-sized subjects that you can take and shoot with you anywhere!
Best soft box for external flashes on DSLRs I use it for group shots when strobes are not avaliable.
Its kinda too big to travel with but works great if your willing to carry it around. Look into the FOTODIOX 6 x 8" softbox if you plan to travel around with your camera.
Softens the light indoors and out, kind of portable, easy to use, universal, and great quality. A must have!
Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) - fellow photographer used this on his Canon Speedlite 580EX II; I didn't. His images did not have hot-flash spots; mine did. Bright lights were coming from all directions; using the Speedlite and Softbox did minimize the hot-light spots on the shiny car finishes.
The next day, I ordered the 8 x 12" Softbox. It is easy to attach, and fits well. The envelope carrier makes it easy to transport in my tote (too big for the camera bag, although the 'envelope' does have a loop to attach to the bag.) It also doesn't interfere with the Speedlite's range of motion, or get in the way of images taken with my 18-200 Canon wide-angle lens, even at the 18mm position.
I'm new to anything but ambient lighting - this has a great way to start learning new lighting techniques.
One small thing: at first, it looked as though there were 2 black marks on the white front. It turned out that it was black bits of lint around the brand tag on the back "wall".
The first thing about this softbox is that it's semi-rigid so it tends to flop around a lot. The quality is pretty good and it's pretty compact but I found that it doesn't have a huge advantage to a bounce card.
One would be better off getting a bigger bounce card or the Gary Fong lightsphere (though it's more pricey)
This item is probably the smartest piece of flash equipment I've bought this year. It's perfect for wedding receptions and for on location portraits. I have my flash on triggers and the light from this guy is SO beautiful. It's made my editing much easier with the less harsh lighting. It is so easy to put on and take off. It stays on with no problems and folds flat and slides into my bag like a folder. It's amazing!!
I regretted that I bought this. I'm usually satisfied with stuffs I purchase, but this one-I have to say-is a dud. It cannot be unfold and be straighten. It just looks stupid after is is unfold-large, crooked, and clumpsy-looking. There should be an internal frame that helps to straighten the softbox out-there is none, and this is a big flaw. The only frame is the one that keeps the front part of the softbox retangular, and it is flimpsy. I broke it when I tried to put it back into the pouch that it comes with. I don't bother returning this. Nothing good about this softbox. Don't buy is my advice. - Lighting - Flashes - Flash - Diffuser'

Canon Pixma Mx330 - hp, inkjet
I needed to replace an old HP deskjet that I've had for more than 5 years that finally decided to stop working properly. I did a lot of research online and quickly got very caught up with all of these massive all-in-one devices that had way more functionality than I would ever need. If you are like me and just need a home printer to print the occasional directions/maps, recipes, coupons, bills, etc., then this is definitely the printer for you.
Before you buy a printer online you need to go to a store and see just how large these all-in-one devices actually are. My wife took one look at them and told me there is no way that is going in our home office even if it also served as a micro fridge and coffee maker. The great thing about this HP 3050 is that it has a much smaller footprint than most all-in-one printers. It has print, copy, and scan functionality, but no fax. Who needs a fax these days anyways when you can just scan a file and then email the scanned document. Most devices don't have a fax out capability anyways so unless you are operating a business out of your house and you receive a lot of faxes the lack of fax on this model should not be a problem.
The printer is not too heavy and it's packaged really well in the box. Instead of being wrapped in styrofoam it is secured with recycled cardboard and wrapped in a reusable canvas bag that you can use for your groceries. It comes with a quick installation guide, as most HP printers do, and the set up went very smoothly with no problems. There is one piece of cardboard wedged inside near the ink cartridges that I missed, but the printer told me of my error and it was easy enough to remove.
Setting up wireless was also not a problem, but you will need to be familiar with your wireless network security settings in order to get the printer connected. An alternative is just using the USB cable, which is nicely included in the box. I haven't played around with web printing yet, but it's not hard to just plug the USB cable into my desktop or laptop and print what I need.
The only negative I can think of is that the printing is a bit loud, but unless you're keeping the printer in the room with the baby crib the noise isn't THAT loud that it would be a dealbreaker. Ink consumption so far is not noticeably different than my prior HP, but I don't print all that much all that often so this is tough to measure for me.
Overall a high quality printer with all the functionality non business users would need with a smaller footprint and lower price tag than most other all-in-one printers. HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer (CH376A#B1H)
This dynamic printer is small, easy to use, fast and produces a clean, high quality classy print, whether it is text or enlarged, detailed photograph. You can use direct connection (USB) or wireless connection. The instructions and disc that come with the printer make it a snap to set up and begin printer. Even the wireless was hands-free and automatic. For its size and versatility, this printer is unmatched in price and speed of delivert. Very highly recommended!
HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer (CH376A#B1H)
I bought this printer to replace my old Lexmark that was very faithful but used very expensive ink. I wasn't
interested in wireless, but wanted a new scanner also and this item was very well priced. The install was painless on windows 7 and took only 10 min. including tests. Printer, copier and scan worked flawlessly. my only concern
is noise when printing starts. I hear several bumps and grinds as printing begins and I hope this is normal.
This is a great product for the occasional home use. Printing, scanning, copying is fast. The build quality isn't top notch, but acceptable. One of the features that was not very clear from the product description was the wireless printing. Box says it needs a WPS enabled router, however, that is only for one touch wireless setup. The printer can be easily configured to print wirelessly from a PC using the HP supplied drivers. I tried this from windows 7 and setup was a breeze. The instructions supplied are very clear and concise. Printer has some in-built templates like calendar, notebook paper, graph paper which I found useful as opposed to downloading a template from the internet and printing that. Wireless printing/scanning works very well (I have a WRT54G router). Scanned files can be converted to jpeg or PDF or TIF.
Purchased this for my aunt, who barely can turn on the laptop it's installed on.
Setup took care of everything, including the wireless option. I really enjoyed that aspect, not having to dig around manually setting this.
Everything works flawlessly, the ink isn't too expensive.
The only downside comes from the motors used in the scanning and rollers in printing, they are loud, enough that I would get annoyed sitting there with a large job, but this is where the benefit of the wireless comes in. Worked a full floor above at the opposite corner of the house both scan and print... not lightning fast, but still suprisingly quick and zero hassle. Would and have recommended this model to others.
hooked up on an asus laptop running win 7 64bit, over a fios home network, neither unit in close proximity to wireless router. - All-in-one - Hp - Multifunction Printer - Inkjet'

I have used this planner since i was a freshman in high school and now that i am entering college i wouldn't be able to stay organized without it. It is perfect for writing down homework and other tasks and the day and class layout is perfect. Student Planner 2011-2012 School Year Planner Middle / High School Content 8.5X11"
As an educator I was impressed with this planner. it is a full color, notebook sized planner that offers plenty of room to write, an attractive and engaging layout, plus tips on how to organize and manage your time. It is a fun and engaging planner and I would certainly purchase it again.
I'm very satisfied with my recent purchase of 2 student planners. It was great to be able to just purchase the amount I wanted without ordering 80. The school discontinued handing out planners to the kids and I searched everywhere and found these. My girls are extremely happy to have their planners back that were just like the school ones. Great quality and I hope to continue purchasing these from this vendor in the future.
Thank you.
I think this planner is well designed and has a lot of features. The only downside to this planner are the pages that have the full view of the month. The page is about 2/3 of the month and 1/3 set aside for notes. I wish they would eliminate the note section and increase the size of the display for the month. Even rotating the month would help increase the space. It is difficult to write anything of importance in this tiny of a space.
My son needs to see his whole week at a time, not just the work for that day (planners they are given at school are like this). I bought the Student Planner for my son and it is working great. He is able to see his whole week, all the assignments that are due and what's up for the weekend. I like all the great info thoughout the planner and the spaces available to write.
This planner is great! I'm a really busy senior in high school and it has well designed space for me to organize my day. This planner is really colorful too and makes me want to look at it every day : )
I also love the fun facts and quick ref guide. I wish I had gotten these before!
I bought this for my 10th grader and he is using it!! Lots of room to fit stuff. His teachers have to sign off on the assignments, so there's room for that, too. Lots of room for 'afterschool' things so you can write in dental appts, etc. so that the absent-minded type doesn't decide to stay afterschool for student council while you're wondering where he is for that dental appt. etc.
Now, I am back in school for my MBA and I like his so much, I'm thinking that I might buy one for me! And, I have an electronic calendar that I normally use and have used for years upon years in the business world (Palm technology) and love. BUT, with schoolwork, I feel like having the paper planner open during class to write in those assignments that get blurted out by the teacher near the end of class --- you can't put it into an electronic calendar as quickly as you can just write it into a planner. Plus, I need to have a separate planner that is JUST for my academics and isn't mixed in with everything else going on in my life. But, maybe that's just because I'm a sucker for organization. Been bit, have learned!
I just wonder if I'll look juvenile with this high school version of an academic planner with talk about SATs in it and stuff. LOL! But, the "adult" ones are essentially the same thing and at least twice the price! - Calendar - Appointment Books - Daily - Academic'

Construction Staplers - nail gun, reconditioned tools
I have to start by saying...if a product is available reconditioned, I'm all for it. I'm an avid buyer of anything from CPO sites, when product available. The Bostitch MIIIFS flooring stapler was unbelievable and I kick myself for not buying one for an earlier flooring project. As a DIYer, I've put in almost a thousand sq ft of brazilian cherry, using a manual nailer...uggh. I wasn't going to do that again when doing some pine in the upstairs. Ok, pine is MUCH softer than cherry, but, having to swing into a piece of pine also has a much higher chance of damaging the edges, so I wanted something that would drive the fastener (staples in this case) without alot of hammer swing.
I thought to myself...well, probably won't hold as well using staples as the barbed nails on my manual nailer...wrong. If anything, the staples hold much better. I had a couple pieces of the pine during this last project that required pulling up a piece I had stapled...it destroyed the edge (tore out) but left the staples in place. I suspect the staples may be cement (or similarly) coated to help adhesion. I'm sold on staples and this has consistently been the tool of choice by pros among the forums.
You won't be disappointed with this item...and when you are done with it...they hold value well and sell quite easily on various selling lists and online auctions. Factory-Reconditioned Bostitch U/MIIIFS 1-1/2-inch to 2-inch Pneumatic Flooring Stapler
I bought this stapler to install multiple rooms of BR111 7/16" Santos Mahogany flooring. I was skeptical after receiving it whether it would work with the 7/16" flooring, but figuring it was the industry standard in flooring staplers, I went ahead and gave it a try.
It did not come with an compressor attachment fitting - the fitting was 3/8" NPT, not 1/4" like my compressor. I went to Lowe's and purchased a 3/8 to 1/4" reducing fitting, then added a swivel 1/4" NPT male connection. This really helped and for $3 I solved the vexing problem of the twisted air hose.
My flooring has very thin tongues on it and is susceptible to splitting. When I fired up the compressor I started at 80 PSI and this split nearly every tongue. With some test pieces, I found the 70 PSI on my compressor seemed to be the right setting. I still had some split tongues, but any less and it did not drive the staple deep enough.
I bought a box of 5,000 staples from Fasteners USA - they advertised no shipping cost, and the box of 5,000 was only $30. The box of 1,000 nails from Amazon.com was $16. Because the shipped from Modesto, CA, just east of the SF Bay area where I live, they arrived in 2 days. I have several more rooms to go, so it was a good buy. [...]
When I got started all seemed well until I had my first partially driven staple. It likely hit a screw that is holding down the subfloor. As expected, these are a beast to pull out - it's good to know that. These can be pulled out with the right type of tool Channellock 35-250 10-Inch Concretor Nipper, but you risk scratching the floor or breaking off the tongues. I learned this the hard way. Even when I had to remove a defective board, it was tough to pull out the whole staple without cutting it off using the nippers. The best solution: use a Dremel tool with an abrasive cutoff wheel. It can get right down next to the tongue, and even cut under the tongue if needed. This worked wonders cutting the staple off flush with the tongue, leaving the tongue and the board undamaged. You can then put a new staple in to the side of the original, and the next groove fits over the tongue perfectly. Until I discovered this, each time I hit a screw, it was a 10-20 min delay to cut if off to an acceptable height where it did not interfere with the next row of floor. This really sucked time. I would highly advocate you have a Dremel or other similar tool if you use this stapler - you will save yourself so much time.
Flooring installation is just board by board. There is no magic here - it's hard work and takes time. I doubled my installation progress the 2nd day, and it got easier after that.
Back to the stapler - it is a solid device and works very well. No hint of it being refurbished, except for the Bostitch emblem that came off - it was held on by double sided tape.
After looking at local hardware stores for a new hardwood floor stapler, we found this one on Amazon for hundreds of dollars less than the new ones; even cheaper quality new ones were way more expensive than this reconditioned Bostitch was. We received the stapler within 2 days of ordering and have used it to install the hardwood floors in our home. The stapler looked like brand new when we received it. We have installed 1,000' of maple flooring thus far, and the stapler performed perfectly. It never jammed, it never misfired. It was a great tool and made installing the floors a breeze. It's still a lot of work, as you have to pound the stapler with the hammer each time to fire it, but it's much easier than doing it manually. The floors look beautiful. We still have another 1,000' of floor to install on the second floor, but we're confident the stapler will continue to perform as it did for the first part.
Just recieved my hardwood flooring stapler it arrived in less than 72 hours after i ordered it. I am glad that I did not buy the brand new one at Home Depot. Saved myself over $200 and this one looks brand new and works perfect. I also noticed that it is warranted just as if I bought one off the shelf. I will continue to buy from CPO Bostitch.
Pros:
1. Amazon shipped it fast.
2. It is a stapler.
Cons:
1. This is not a RECONDITIONED. It is a terribly used, uncleaned, stained, malfunctional unit with missed accessories.
2. I bought tons of stuff from Ebay, Amazon, Craigslist and other place. When something that is stated as refurbished or reconditioned, it is in reasonable condition. I don't expect them to be brand new, although most decent manufacturers repair and clean the item to almost brand new. Bostitch doesn't. If I put what I received on Craiglist today, I would say "six out of 10", in terms of condition; or something like "extensively used, but might still in working order".
3. Any piece of paper in my trash box is in a better condition that the document that came with the item. - Reconditioned Tools - Cpo Bostitch - Staplers - Nail Gun'

Audio-video Kits - cables, laptop to tv
I had a Compaq laptop and an old 29" tv and all my video content was in my hard-drive and on internet :(
So, I bought this 4-pin S video cable as it matched with my laptop S-video port.
Make sure before buying that this cable will match your s-video port, otherwise you would end up criticizing a good product for your own mistake! :)
Advantages:
- This is a great product!
- At a great price!
- If your TV has capability to connect with CD/DVD or any video player through the Red+Yello+White cables, then this one would work for your TV too!!
Disadvantages:
- 6 feet length. You have to keep your laptop just next to your TV S-Video to 3-RCA Composite AV Cable for Laptop PC TV
Hooked it up to my laptop and TV. Video quality looks great, but audio is moderately noisy. I tried hooking up another stereo 1/8 to stereo RCA audio cable and the interference was gone. Strange since they were both budget cables about the same thickness... they really should have beefed up the audio cable shielding like they did to the video half. Also before you buy this really consider how much cable you need... 6ft is a little on the short side unless your laptop or component is right next to the TV. While the length issue is clearly my fault, the audio issue is poor design.
As to the other review complaining about a 7 pin connector, I used this 4 pin s-video cable with the Nvidia 7 pin jack on my laptop and it works and detects just fine. The extra pins are used for component video, at least on mine.
Cable works great to connect my HP pavillion dv 2000 laptop to an older Sony TV (video + audio) and watch Netflix movies on TV. Some problem with the shipment, though: First time I ordered it, the cable got lost in mail, but the seller sent a second cable with no hassle (still, the shipment took longer than it was supposed to). Also, the tracking link that the seller provided did not work.
This is a 4 pin s-video not 7 pin. My computer has a 7 pin s-video connection so this cable didn't work (I'm assuming) for that reason. I supposed if you have a 4 pin s-video on your computer then it should work, but I can't say for sure since mine has a 4 pin.
I did research on the internet as I am trying to cut costs and want to get rid of expensive cable and just watch TV shows from my computer. I have a 2 year old Toshiba laptop and a probably 10 year old Sony TV (that still looks & works great). At first when I plugged in the unit, it didn't work, so I went back to the internet and after a quick search found that I had to right click on the desktop, go to Graphics Options, Display - Television and bam - there is was. Audio is fabulous, picture is great. I have a Sony TV, not a flatscreen or fancy HD though.. it's a little older, but has the holes on the front to plug in the yellow/white/red cord (you can tell how non-techy I am.. haha). Yes, with only a 6 ft. cord, the laptop does have to be next to the tv, but no biggie... I saw that when I ordered it. Couldn't be happier as this little less than [...] investment will save me [...] a month or more on cable!
Bought the cable in hopes of connecting laptop to 42" flat screen tv. While it connects, the image displays in black and white -- not sure if this a defect of the cable or a limitation of the connected components. Either way, this cable is useless for me. I'll just need to get a laptop with an HDMI port, so I don't have to rely on the conversion from s-video to component.
This shipped within a few days and was a great deal. Cheaper than any electronic stores locally ( including Walmart!) including the shipping, and I checked around a bit before buying this.
No complaints at all. Easy hookup and works great. Watching movies from online on the large screen tonight already. Got it in the mail today. Good buy.
Don't forget to install a graphics media/video driver on your PC to use this if you don't have this installed on your computer already. I recently had my computer 'wiped clean" and I couldn't figure out why this hook-up wasn't working with my laptop today. I was told my computer needed the video/graphics driver re-installed. ( took a few minutes and is free) for it to be compatible. I used Intel. There are many drivers available, based on your PC type.. Very simple, even for me. :)
I bought this cable about a month ago. I am using it to connect my laptop with my old Sanyo TV to play internet TV, Audio & Video CDs. The picture and audio quality is great. The cable is thick and is of excellent quality.
I received the wrong item. I needed a 7-pin cable and I received a 4-pin one. The seller did not make bad communication, but the item page did not specify which type of cable it was. The seller should not expect the buyer to "guess" what kind of cable it is, especially from the picture which is unclear whether it is a 7-pin or a 4-pin. I did not return the item because as useless as the cable is it is more expensive for me to send it back than to get the refund. Overall the transaction was smooth and fast, and good communication. It was just the item that arrived that was the incorrect one, which is the most important portion of the deal. The seller was good in communication, just 'bad/false' advertising, if you will.
Thank you, and hope this helps. - Cables - S-video - S-video To Rca - Laptop To Tv'

I purchased my printer in February 2009 and I believe that I have had to replace the regular size black ink cartridge at least three times. I would say that my print load is average. This time (the third time) I decided to get the XL size. I put it in April 10th and now (May 10th) the ink level is at 3/4. I am sure that with the regular size catridge I would be getting ready to change the cartridge again. I also like that the price via amazon was significantly cheaper than purchasing from staples or target. And it arrived quickly. I recommend using the XL no matter what, so that you don't have to change so often. I also recommend this vendor based on my experience with them. HP 564XL Black Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging (CB321WN#140)
The starter cartridges that came with my HP C309a All-In-One were the standard 564 cartridges, which only lasted a couple weeks -- and I don't even print that much. I replaced the regular black cartridge with a 564XL, and even after a couple weeks of my usual (occasional) printing, the ink gauge is still at around 85%.
HP inks aren't cheap, but even worse is having to buy them so frequently -- I usually run out right before I need to print something important. The XL cartridge is a good value and lasts a good long time. This should be the standard HP inkjet cartridge.
The biggest complaint for personal inkjets is well.. ink. It's always expensive and you feel like you are spending the lionshare of your purchase on the fancy packaging and plastic delivery mechanism. We use our printer for casual use and a decent amount of photo 4x6 printing. These XL inks definitely last longer than the std versions that shipped with the printer, and yellow always seems to go first. But they work as advertised, and never last as long as you want them to. We've had our printer for 2 years and replaced inks once a year now.
The colors seem to pop when using the special 4x6 papers and drying time is very fast. I haven't seen any fading in pictures that were printed 2 yrs ago with these inks, and they are advertised to not fade, so i guess its working as advertised.
Office Depot and Office Max sell the 564XL for $10.00 less than what Amazon.com charges. At the time of review this ink cartridge cost ($32.00). I wish I had checked those places earlier than buying from Amazon
This is a warning to buyers of this product. First HP has changed the size of this cartridge, it is now half the size that it was a few months ago, so if you buy it you are now getting half as much ink as you used to. Second none of the sellers of this product on the Amazon website are advising buyers about the fact that you are now paying and will be receiving a cartridge that is half the size of the old one. Third if you want the best price deal it is no longer on Amazon but rather HP is now selling it directly from its own website at a considerably cheaper price.
I ordered HP black cartirdges from this site and was charged 2x the now "new" HP price for cartridges that print half as much!
I returned the cartridges and have not heard a word from the seller. HP holds us hostage to overpricing and now things are worse.
HP ripped us off again. Smaller size cartridge lasts less then 1/2 as long as the bigger fuller cartridge which was made for my printer when this printer first came out. Dumping HP and moving on.....
I find it very strange that this HP-564XL black inkjet printer cartridge is going for $30.93 on Amazon. I was at Best Buy only a few hours ago earlier tonight, and this very item is selling for $17.99 there, and it's not even on sale at that store. None of the items at Best Buy were marked for sale or on sale this week or in any other way discounted. All of the 564XL cartridges are going for $17.99 at Best Buy. I repeat, none of them were on sale. The cardboard retail packaging is exactly the same as pictured here. (These prices at Best Buy don't include the sales tax yet.) I thought Amazon was supposed to be cheaper, not more expensive. Am I missing something here?
My experience with 564XL Black has been fine so far, no issues at all, my five stars are for the quality of this cartridge and have nothing to do with Amazon or Amazon's pricing of this cartridge. - Inkjet Printer Ink - Photosmart C6380 - Hewlett-packard - 564xl'

Camera Lenses - accessories, lens cap
This solidly made bayonet-style rear lens cap is essential for anyone who owns more than one lens. It is far more secure than the translucent "tupperware-style" push-on rear cap supplied with some Nikkor lenses. Those things have no positive retention and I would only use one to keep the back of the lens off the table when cleaning the sensor, or if the lens was going back into its original packaging (in the plastic bag and then into the styrofoam/pressed paper inside the box) because they're just too insecure for field use. The LF-1 is cheap insurance for your expensive glass! Nikon LF-1 Rear Lens Caps
What do you say, it's a plastic rear lens cap. Wish it was cheaper, but Nikon is over priced, so what do you want? It fits like a charm like a stock would. It does the job, I bought it, and would again if need be.
We ordered this lens cap for our Nikon lens and are always hesitant about getting a "knock off" that will not stay on properly. The one received was the real thing. It fits snug onto the lens and is exactly what we needed for a replacement. The priced when compared with the local camera store is unbelievable. Excellent buy. - Photography - Lens Cap - Accessories - Nikon Lens'

George Foreman Grp99 - electric grill, grill
Summary: a good grill with quirks that get in the way of it being great. It's a huge improvement for cleaning, and it has a nicely-sized 4-burger grill plate. It doesn't get quite as hot as the "old-style" models, and if you don't learn its quirks you can ruin perfectly good meals.
Overview
I had an "old style" Foreman grill, one of the smaller ones with permanently attached plates, for years. I loved it - especially how you could get the grill scary hot and get some great crusts on grilled meats. But man, I hated cleaning it!
Eventually, it died, and I wanted something that answered my two biggest complaints: small size of the cooking service, and something that was easier to clean! This grill looked like the answer.
Bottom line: I *want* to love it, I really do! And it does answer my two biggest complaints, so I'm continuing to use it, but it has a couple of quirks that keep me from loving it. So close! But here's my experience.
HEATING: decent performance but can OVER-heat and ruin a meal
This grill has a "variable" temperature setting. I'm not sure how accurate it is, because I generally use it at the top temperatures to try to get the same performance as the "old" style grills, which got wicked hot.
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
Here is one of the MAJOR cautions: this grill can OVERHEAT!
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
When it gets "too hot" the brain seems to freeze, the grill shuts off, and the display blinks little dashes at you, and that's all it will do until the grill has cooled off for a 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately, this means it is impossible to grill for extended times at max temperature, and if it happens when you're in the middle of cooking, it can ruin a meal. I have talked to one other person with this same grill, and they had a similar experience. So, beware - this MAY be a problem that they can/will fix, or it may be in the design and something you just have to live with.
I personally have found a workaround: I pre-heat to 400 degrees, one setting short of the "max" of 425. When it has pre-heated (5 minutes), just before I put on the food, I turn the grill up to 425. The result is that, within my normal cooking times, the grill comes on and stays on the whole time, but doesn't overheat. I don't get quite the satisfying crust I would like, but it's adequate. And if you DO lose the "brain" due to overheating, don't panic - there's a lot of energy stored in those plates, so just leave the food on and let it cook a little longer than you planned, and you'll probably save your food (also, see my comments about the "coasting" cooking technique at the end of the review). But beware: if you pre-heat to the maximum setting, it may go brain-dead too soon for you to even finish cooking.
Some other observations: the heat isn't quite as uniform as the old sealed plate style, but it's not bad, and probably can't be much better, given the "removable" plate design. Once you learn the hot spots, there's always someone in the house that wants food either more well done or rarer anyway, so I've learned to put this to my advantage!
GRILL PLATES: Big and Removable and Cleanable (and a little finicky)!
YES, finally, the plates are removable! Yes, they are finicky! But, yes, you can learn to live with them. When I first got the grill, the top plate was especially hard for me to get attached properly. But if you look carefully, understand how the latches work, and learn the correct placement, this can become a non-issue. The only thing I do now is always double-check the plates after I attach them by tugging on them, but once they're connected properly, I've never once had one just "come off."
The size is a big improvement over other grills. They're wider than they are deep, so unlike some other Foreman models, opening the grill is pretty easy even with cabinets over the grill. The size and proportions makes putting 4 burgers on possible, and I've also cooked three good-sized steaks at the same time. You do need to know where your hot spots are, and depending on the food size/shape, you MAY want to open the grill halfway through and rotate the pieces, but this seems to affect browning more than the interior cooking, which has always seemed pretty even to me.
Cleaning them is a joy compared to the old "sealed" style plates. I can drop them both in a sink with hot soapy water and let them soak, and just brush them clean with a nylon brush. If you get to them quickly after cooking, probably all you need is some running water, soap and a sponge. It's a huge improvement for cleaning, and well worth the trade-off of somewhat uneven heating.
FOOD SIZE: beware the thickest steaks and the thinnest burgers
The "sliding hinge" on this grill seems to be a little limited. On thick steaks over 1", the grill doesn't seem to get quite "wide" enough to give even heat; on very thin items (somewhere around 1/4", the plates seem to far apart to heat properly. But for foods within than range of 1/4" to 1" (most burgers, chicken breasts, average steaks), it seems to work just as well as the old style grills.
OTHER: just a couple of things to mention
Time: it doesn't do anything except beep; it doesn't shut the grill off or anything. I use the default of "5 minutes" just to time my pre-heating.
Cooking Style: I have developed what I call the "coasting" style of cooking. It's a takeoff on "resting" that seems to work well. Basically, I cook a food at the hottest temperature I can get without the grill overheating (see above), and about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through I shut off the grill (but leave the food cooking). For instance, with a 5 or 6 oz burger patty, I pre-heat the grill to 400, then put the burgers on and set it to 425, and cook them for about 3-4 minutes; then I turn off the grill completely, but leave the patties on for another 3-4 minutes. The result is a nicely browned burger, still juicy in the middle, with no need for additional "resting." Same technique works with steaks and chicken, too! This helps me work around with one real quirk of the grill - the "overheating" - but also gives very nice results on the cooked foods, too.
Well, that's about all I can think of to mention on this grill. I am really not happy about the overheating problem, which is to me a pretty major design flaw, but the joy of grill plates that are removable and easy to clean keep me from going back to the "old" style. I've learned to live with and work around the problem, and for me that makes it worthwhile. But it also keeps me from wholeheartedly recommending this grill, which would otherwise be a 5-star winner in my book. - Grill - Indoor Grill - George Foreman Grp99 - Electric Grill'

Leather Case - nook cover, nook color
Nice leather case that is actually leather. Nice hardware on the zippers as well. The tabs feel strong and sturdy. The fact that I can zip up the NookColor is a great feature in my opinion. The only thing I wish this had was instead of a place for credit cards that I, as a male, would not use, instead, a place for micro SD cards to be stored. No one is offering that and that would be a great seller I would think. Don't forget my royalties RooCase. hehe. rooCASE Executive Leather Portfolio (Black) Case Cover with Stand for Barnes and Noble NOOKcolor Nook Color eBook Reader
When I bought my Nook Color, I couldn't beleive how limited the choices of covers were for it. Essentially, it all came down to a choice between a sleeve that must be completely removed to use the device or a folder-like "case" that offered no protect to sides of the device. I was very clear what I wanted: a case that completely enclosed the device, closing on all sides with a zipper; free access to all controls and ports on the device; completely open access to the entire screen. After several days of hunting online, this is the ONLY one I found. It does everything I wanted leaving room for only two minor quibbles.
1) the zipper can slightly obscure the charging port.
and
2) the zipper pulls are a bit larger than needed, occassionally getting in the way.
Other than that, the price is good, the build quality seems very good and it does everything I wanted.
I'm glad I found this case.
I have been looking for a protective case for my nook color, after some research I found this one, I bought it, and here are my comments:
- Fits perfectly to Nook color
- Once that is closed, the nook is protected from dust or any other environmental particles
- the nook is really protected since the internally the case cover all the sides and corners of the nook
- It is complete designed for Nook color, every button fits perfectly and you will access to On/off, volume and USB port
- The leather feels good on hand and you really get a feeling of protection on your nook
- Once on it, you can carry your nook just like a book.
I hope this will be helpful.
Regards,
I wanted to try the product for several days before I left any review on it. After several days, I feel confident that I can give an accurate assessment of the product. The product is labelled as being made from leather. It does have thick and strong texture like the full grain leather but the backing of the leather leaves me wondering whether it is imitation or synthetic. Leather also has a distinctive leather smell (from the tanning process) and this one is more chemical like. The inside of the cover is lined with synthetic suede. The cover core seems to be made from cardboard and so it is quite stiff. Some people may not mind it but I find I could not fold the front cover to the back of the Nook like I normally do with paperback book covers. The cardboard core stiffness did not give me confidence that it was a high quality product.
The way the color Nook is placed in this product is to slide it in from the top. It does have the appropriate openings for the volume controls, the off switch and the jack for the microUSB. The challenge for me was the zipper part sort of blocks the clean entry of the microUSB plug into the Nook and also pushing the microUSB into the Nook would make the Nook slide out this "leather" cover. Since it was so easy to slide the Nook in and out, I thought that this could present the danger if I had the cover unzipped and I had it upside down that the Nook could fall out the cover and into the ground (HORROR!!). So I am making the habit to at least zip the top part of this cover so it will not happen.
It is my opinion that the price I paid for is a little high for this product. It is stylish and protective for the Nook and OK for utility. The stand is only for horizontal landscape mode and if I was reading email, I would have to turn the Nook in vertical mode and this cover does not seem to have the facility and so I have to hold it in my hands.
ADDENDUM:
I had this cover on my Nook for a while and it is when I am reading the Nook that I notice strongly that I cannot set the Nook on its stand to read a book because of the horizontal stand. Nook Books are only for the vertical direction. So I have to hold it in my hand all the time or lay it flat on the table.
i really couldn't tell from the picture if i would like this case or not. when i got the case the first thing i notice was how slim and professional looking it was. i love the case and as soon as my mother and niece buy their nook i am going to refer them to this case.
Very well built. Looks like "executive". Decent leather, nice inner coating, sort of like suede. Couple of inner pockets and one partition to store some thin stuff.
This is currently the best case for those that want to watch movies when NC is standing on the table. It should be perfect to use on airplane, too.
Unlike other cases with horizontal kickstand that cost $50 and more, this one allows flexible angle. It allows Nook to stand stable with display being inclined at any angle between 30 and 70 degrees from vertical (approximately). Kickstand doesn't slip on polished wood or plastic and when it's not used it attaches to case with magnet. Volume buttons are unobstructed, as well as power button and power/USB socket.
It's a very well designed case that suits Nook Color perfectly.
Knitting seems to be cheap, one thread broke, but this is cosmetic, it doesn't affect functionality, overall it seems to be sturdy.
From my research I could not find better NC case with flexible horizontal kickstand for any money, so this is definitely 5 stars. - Nook Color - Nook Cover - Nook Case - Leather Case'

Neoprene Sleeve - sleeve, ipad
I wanted something simple to protect my new iPad 2 when I put it in my bag, this cover does the trick! It's cheap, durable and the essence of simplicity. Fits my iPad 2 with or without smart cover on. What more could you ask for? Kensington K62911US Reversible Sleeve for Netbooks, Fits 7 to 9-Inch Netbooks (Black/Gray)
While some reviews might lead you to think otherwise, this is not specifically an iPad sleeve. It's a generic netbook sleeve (it even says so on the tag) that has found new life with the release of the iPad. It fits the iPad pretty well, although a little tight if anything. I'm not personally a big fan of these slip sleeves but the price can't be beat.
It's an unlined neoprene slip sleeve from a reputable company. If that's what you want and the price is right for you, you'll be happy.
Bought this for my ipad 2 because of the positive reviews... It does fit but not perfectly.
I think it's a bit small for the iPad 2. Just a few mm off...You def have to do some pushing and tugging.
The price was a bit insane so let's start shoving it in!
Fits both my iPad and my Netbook well, nice package, basically wet suit material, or very similar (which is fine). After only a week, however, the stitching that goes around the flap that pulls over whatever you have inside has come untitched in the middle and is coming unstitched all the way around. Waaaaay too early for that to happen. I'm an office guy, I haven't had this thing on a construction site. Unfortunate.
UPDATE - 12/2010. The above is correct, but maybe an anomaly. I restitched that little stretch that came undone (maybe it was my fault that it came unstitched in the first place), and I use the thing regularly with my iPad. Great piece of gear. Easy to put on, take off, great protection. Would definitely recommend. I'm going to up my review from 2 to 5 stars.
I bought this sleeve for my ipad based on the reviews here, and the low price. Personally I find this sleeve too tight a fit for the iPad, it's a struggle to get this thing on and off. I just want the iPad to slide out easily, but I have to tug and pull at it. I guess it depends on what your needs are, but it doesn't work for me. Maybe I'm just lazier than the other folks!
I had recently purchased an iPad and quickly realized that I would need some form of protective cover for it to prevent scratches or even worse damage. The price of the "official" iPad cover seemed a bit too high, as were the prices of most other iPad covers. I was looking for the best function/price balance and came across this product. After reading several reviews that indicated that even though this sleeve was designed for net books it works well with an iPad, I decided to give it a try. It turns out that this really is a perfect iPad cover - the iPad fits it perfectly and it's very easy to get it in and out thanks to the reversible cover. I also tried to use it with my Acer Aspire One AOA150-1447 8.9-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Sapphire Blue and in fact it did fit in quite well, although it required a bit of work to stretch it and get it in. In my opinion this sleeve is better suited for iPad than for netbooks, but it can certainly work for both.
The biggest draw of this sleeve is its price - at $5.50 when I bought it (with free shipping) it is by far the most affordable option out there for protecting your iPad or your netbook. If you want a no-frills protection for your gadget that does the job right this is probably the best option that you have.
It fits the iPad. If you have a netbook that is slightly bigger than the iPad, it is unlikely to fit it easily. That being said, the fabric does stretch fairly well. For a 10 inch netbook, however, it is unlikely to fit.
The reverse color, grey, is rather pale and I can't think of anyone who would want to use it. - Sleeve - Ipad - Ipad Case - Netbook Case'

Usb Drive - portable hard drive, external hard drive
The case is well designed and made. The outer material feels durable, the inner shell soft and well padded. The overall case is well formed and seams look carefully done.
I bought this to be used with the Western Digital Passport II (black) WDXMSxxxx drives (5.1"x3.1"x0.6") and the case is a tad too big for it. The drive has a little too much wiggle room despite the elastic strap inside. I imagine the case will be better fitted for slightly bigger drives, e.g. Seagate's ST9xxxxx1U2-RK. Case Logic PHDC-1 Small EVA External Hard Drive Case (Blue)
I got this case in the blue color with a contrasting bright yellow interior. The material is all-around high-quality, and the case offers excellent protection for my external hard drive(s).
Since this is a universal drive case it cannot be a perfect fit for every portable hard drive out there. I own several different-size drives and here is how they fit:
- First generation WD Passport (silver colored, blueish rubberized bottom, Western Digital 80 GB Passport 2.5-inch External Hard Drive) fits perfectly. I suspect that this case was originally made for these drives.
- Newer WD Passport (various colors, non-rubberized bottom, WD Passport Portable WDXMSB1600 - Hard drive - 160 GB - external - 2.5" - Hi-Speed USB - 5400 rpm - buffer: 2 MB - metallic red): The case is too long and too wide, but because of the elasticized strap the drive still fits ok provided you don't stretch the strap by putting in thicker items before using it with this type of drive.
- Seagate FreeAgent Go (Seagate FreeAgent Go 160 GB USB External Hard Drive ST901603FGA1E1-RK: The drive is a tiny bit wide. On the other hand, because it is such a snug fit width-wise, the drive also doesn't slide around in the case. And the case still can be zipped shut with this drive.
If one doesn't have cables etc. to store in the accessory pocket in the other half of the case, this pocket can double as storage space for another drive, the case still zips shut, even with two of the largest of the above-mentioned drives in it.
I recommend this case to anyone looking for high-quality protection for portable hard drives and other electronics, such as PDAs or MP3 players.
I purchased this case for my Lacie Rugged Hard Drive LaCie 500 GB 7200 rpm Rugged All-Terrain FireWire 800/ FireWire 400/USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive 301900 and it's great! It fits the drive perfectly and protects it well. I shoot video and often edit on location, so I end up dragging my drive through the worst of conditions, but it's survived like a champ and this case has definitely helped.
PS - It always makes my day to know that people find these reviews helpful. So, please vote (the "Was this review helpful to you: Yes or No" buttons) and leave a comment if you'd like, even if it's just to say, "Hi!" I respond to all comments so feel free to ask a question about the product. Also, when you leave a comment, I will go to your reviews and pay you the same courtesy.
Small External HD Case Black I bought this case to protect my Western Digital 250 GB portable USB hard drive, as I move the drive around a lot between home and work. I'm using the hard drive to back up my iTunes music collection, so I want to take care of it, hence I purchased this Case Logic case. The case is easy to use. When you open it up, you'll find two compartments (one on each side). One has an elastic strap that snuggly holds your hard drive in position. The other compartment has a mesh flap which acts like a pocket, so you can have a space to put a USB cable and maybe a flash drive or two in a pinch. As the case is small, it isn't really designed such that you can leave the hard drive in the case during operation. There isn't enough room for the connector to fit when it is placed in the drive, without the cable putting undue stress on the connector (not a good idea - duh!). In any event, the hard drive produces some heat during operation, so you probably wouldn't want to leave it in the case anyway. My only two complaints or observations are that a real hand strap could have been provided instead of the rubber thingy for carrying the drive more safely to and from a car, and that there isn't really a lot of padding in the sides of the case. I still wouldn't want to drop the hard drive while in the case onto concrete. Maybe from 3 feet onto carpet would be survivable. I guess I expected it to be lined with some styrofoam (I won't tell Al Gore) to provide more protection. Still, it does provide a nice place to keep your hard drive and cable together, without them getting all scratched up.
This is my second Case-Logic case for a portable hard drive, (original case is 1-1/2 years old and shows no wear). This PHDC-1 case fits the Seagate 1TB Go Portable drive like a glove. The sizes are misleading on the various sites. The PHDC-1 inside dims are: 3.5 wide X 5.25 long X 1.5 thick. Like another reviewed stated, it's a bit snug on the width, but no worries. - Portable Hard Drive - Hard Drive Case - External Hard Drive - Western Digital'

Hp Calculator - finance calculator, mba
I have purchased for myself, the HP17bII+ (call it 17B2+), a new toy, for work, leisure and experimentation during the X'mas holidays.
MY FIRST OUT OF BOX IMPRESSION,is sadly, that HP has really compromised the build quality of its financial/business calculator range by outsourcing its manufacturing to OEMs.
Cosmetically, the new sleek case design looks nice but its rubber-plastic(?) feel really softened up and "cheapened" the 17B2+ vis-a-vis its predecessor.
Although "product feel" is very subjective thing but I suppose every faithful HP calculator owner would tell HP that this is PARAMOUNT to their continued patronage of the HP financial calculator line.
The handsome leather-like carrying case which accompanies the HP17B+ package won't make it look as professional as the solidly built as the 17bII or the rival made TI BA2+ professional, nevertheless it is a welcomed bundle.
MAJOR HARDWARE IMPROVEMENT of the LCD DISPLAY is a welcomed upgrade, the new display is generous contrasty and clearly viewable from all angles. The other stated hardware improvement though hardly noticeable to the normal user is the upgrade of memory to 28k.
FUNCTIONAL IMPROVEMENTS include mainly the CURRX foreign exchange conversion function, it is the only nice to have addition, although experienced users would tell you that this is not really essential.
RPN MODE on the 17B2+ is IMHO not as good as the HP12c perhaps due to its vertical form factor and button design. The <enter> key is smaller than the HP12C/12c Platinum on the and also certain functions like power ^ has to be accessed via the shift key.
BUTTONs on the HP17b2+ are tacit but has a very "plastic" feel, it makes you question why the old HP17bII buttons were not retained.
HP SOLVE is still the best reason and a HP niche to retain HP 17bII users to this HP line of business calculators. Still, this is the best reason to buy the HP17b series.
ONLINE HP USER SUPPORT is IMHO the best in its class, [...] has most of the answers to your HP17b2+ questions.
OVERALL, the 17b2+ is an acceptable but rather unimpressive upgrade from HP, perhaps it is why it is not called HP17bIII or version 3.
This calculator is not "cheap" in dollar terms either. While HP had probably kept its' shareholders happy and executives fed while profiting from old proven product designs, it should, in my opinion, start to think hard on making us, their customers happier.
A young colleague of mine owns a minty 17bII but I doubt she would sell it, her dad had retired and had given his 17bII to her and that, is a testimony of how good the quality of HP calculators used to be.
Thank you for reading my user review of the HP 17b2+. HP 17BII+ Financial Calculator, Silver
Until a replacement for the HP19BII comes along, this is the best business calculator that can be purchased.
With over a year of near daily use, I remain very pleased with this calculator. I purchased the HP17BII+ despite the unusual number of negative reviews for this model prompted by my many years of experience with the HP19BII.
This is a solid, dependable calculator with intuitive features, unmatched ease of programming in a financial calculator and quality materials.
I've tested both Casio models and the TI business calculators; neither is able to measure up to the standards of the new HP17BII+ in terms of "feel" and ease of use. Anyone who recommends the TIBAII series - even the "Pro" - either has never used the HP17BII+ or believes that you will not be using your business calculator for real business.
The programmability - the ability to enter formulae into the calculator permanently and to solve for any variable is a boon to anyone. Want to run an ROI or break-even formula - just program it into the calculator and it'll be there for you whenever you need it. Need t do simple Chi-square, z-score or MIRR, just plug it in and you've got it at your fingertips. It is puzzling to me why HP does not trumpet the features of their calculators. TI cleans their clock in terms of store presence nearly everywhere - sluffing off calculators with fewer capabilities on generations of calculator buyers. As of this writing, there is no match for the HP17BII+ on the marketplace except PDAs with emulator packages.
The HP 17BII+ does essentially everything that the HP19BII did, but faster and in a smaller footprint. The HP 17BII's long life batteries are far more likely to be found in a store's battery section than those needed for the HP19BII and the extended memory will allow far more custom equations. It is regrettable that HP dropped the random number generator, but again, overall the best financial/business calculator one can buy today. Also - I've had no sticky keys, blank displays or erratic behavior of any kind.
Negatives: The alpha selection display is kind of cumbersome, but once you're done with the program entry, the lack of a separate alpha keyboard makes the calculator much less clunky.
The single line display (HP calls it two line because the bottom of the display contains the menu enunciators) makes it very difficult at first to enter longer programs - only one line at a time can be seen - making trouble shooting tedious.
The "On" key is the same height as the rest of the keys meaning it can be turned on simply by pushing on the case while the calculator is inside - while auto power off will shut off the calculator in ten minutes, one can only hope that you don't experience too many inadvertent power-ons so that your calculator runs out of power at just the wrong time.
Once again - a solid, pleasure of a calculator, and one I'd recommend to anyone in any circumstances who needs a quality programmable financial calculator (my belief is that once you've tried HP Solve on an HP calculator that you'll quickly say that you can't do without it!). - Finance Calculator - Hp Calculator - Calculator - Mba'

Mothers Day - rum cake, sweet tooth
These are the best rum cakes out there. I just returned from the Bahamas and brought several different brands of cakes back. These were by far the BEST so I ordered more on-line. LOVE LOVE LOVE these rum cakes.
I had first tasted this cake at the store in Key West. In fact, I tried every flavor of the free samples they had available. For years, I have wanted to order one of these cakes, but the minimum order from the Tortuga catalogue was more than I wanted to deal with. Besides that, the shipping and handling was quite high. When I saw the cakes available through Amazon, I still thought they were pricey, but super-saver free shipping was available, so I ordered two cakes, one for my family and one for a friend. The cake did not dissapoint. It was delicious, moist and delicious, and the rum was not overpowering. By eating just a sliver at a time, my husband, son, and I made the 16oz cake last nearly a week. It was a nice holiday treat.
Received this as a holiday gift, if you are in love with rum you should like this cake. It is nice and moist and has a pungent aroma of rum. It is made in the Cayman Islands. My dog was at first, slightly repelled by the smell but now it is following me around!
I was a little concerned about ordering food items from online but this was the perfect choice. My husband loves Rum and Tortuga Rum Cake but it is hard to find in local stores or it's to pricey for me. I had received a gift card for Amazon and thought I would give you guys a try. To my surprise it was fast, easy and worth it. I will have more orders. This cake is absolutely wonderful. My husband prefers it in thin slices with a little butter on top and heated in the microwave, just until a little warm. He also likes to add a little extra Rum. The cake was very fresh. If you like a soft and moist cake not sort of dry and spongy this is the cake for you. They have lots of different flavors as well. Hope this helps someone.
Sry for all the people whom thought this cake was going to be loaded with rum for them to be drunk off of but it isn't. Its to be enjoyed by people thats not of the legal age themselves also so there is little rum in it. With that said I am Jamaican myself and I bought this on a trip back up to the states and have been hooked ever since. I go back just to get this but something told me to try Amazon CAUSE AMAZON HAS EVERYTHING :) and I was delighted to know that its on here. I will be buying these things until I am sick of it and can't eat it anymore.
First slice I wasnt too impressed...what's up with all this hype?
Figured, I'll go with the recommendation as I had ice cream on hand... popped a slice in the microwave for 20 secs, added a few scoops of ice cream... and OMG it was like another cake!
You got to nuke it!
I love rum cake and usually make my own from scratch. I was a bit skeptical that this would actually be that good but figured I'd give it a try when I saw it in the Friday Sale one week. Much to my pleasant surprise, it is really good! The cake is very moist and the rum is not overpowering. It's also not overloaded with nuts -- just a light sprinkling on top is all. I'm giving this 4 out of 5 stars only because I think it's a bit pricey. However, I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys rum cake or has wanted to try one and is willing to pay a little more than average for it -- I think you'll like! - Sweet Tooth - Rum Cake - Caribbean - Cake - Rum - Gift Idea'
