Battery Charger
I own a Ryobi 12-Volt cordless hand drill, whose battery charger died. Finding that Home Depot no longer carries any 12-V products (they've powered up to 18-V on everything), I checked Amazon and found what I thought was correct. The description stated that it charged ALL Ryobi 12-V batteries. Well, it doesn't. The probe end of the old batteries is a different shape than this charger. Had to return the charger (full refund) but then had to purchase a new drill ($79) and chuck the old one, which also had a great hand vac with it, but without a chargeable battery, it's useless. Ryobi 140295003 12-Volt Battery Charger
Although the status indicator on this charger never changes to "done", it may be due to the old batteries I am using. However, it does charge the batteries every time and for the price, it works flawlessly. I would recommend this charger to anyone who needs a replacement.
Although this is the product I wanted & it is a good product - I could unfortunately not use it! My husband requested the Ryobi charger but did not take into consideration that living in Australia we cannot use the same electrical products as in the USA! USA uses 110v & Australia 240v'

2 weeks ago I purchase this battery to replace my one year old Blackberry Curve. With a week I found this replacement battery is ever worse than one I replaced and I am very disappointed. This make me uneasy to purchase and battery from this vendor. Blackberry Curve 8520 / 8530 / 8330 / 8320 / 8310 / 8300 OEM C-S2 Li-Ion Battery
Do not buy any item in this store are about
irresponsible, I made a purchase at this shop and me
given a tracking number, then I fail to see that
I made a claim, and he says giving me another number, sent to do my research I discovered that
Posting number belongs to someone else's package and
another product in the end no one responded to my
buy and lost my money and take into account this observation and do not buy anything from this seller's my recommendation
I purchased this item for my Blackberry 8330. I received it several weeks ago but just now charging it. Fast shipping and the price was great. When I opened it from the package and put it in the phone, it was 3/4 charged. Currently charging it so we will see how long the battery lasts. I'm due for an upgrade soon so if this battery only lasts a couple of months...for $2.97..it was well worth the purchase in my opinion.
When I bought the product it says new but it requires charge almost every two hours. This shows to me that the product that i bought from amazon.com was either fake or used. Please try your best to satisfy your cousomer
I was planing to change my phone and service, since I started getting battery problem with my old BBerry 8300 and memory problems. But my plan did not go so well. I could not create a budget to get me one of those toys (iPhone or something like any coffeeshop you go, you see people playing with it). I had to set my priorities first and decided to use my Bberry until it really dies on me. I got my battery, brand new from Amazon and it ship very fast eventhough I preferred regular mail. It is working perfectly and you can't beat the price. Thank you to the guy who sold this to me.'

Sansa Accessories - sansa charger, fuze
This contains everything you will need to connect it to you car, laptop, or stereo. My only complaint would be that I had to shave the case next to the usb connection to allow it to connect properly and that the retractable stereo cable that they sent was white, not black like the picture.
I was able to successfully remove the cover by using a knife and sliding it along the side to release the latches. You have to be careful not to push the knife in to far and scratch the players case. SanDisk Sansa Fuze Charging Combo and (Clear) Protective Crystal Cover Case, USB 2in1 Sync Data Cable,Car & Wall / Travel Charger, Crystal Clear Covering Case, 3.5mm MP3 Jack, and Screen Guard
In hopes that just one person won't make the same mistake I did, unscrew the little round piece that slided into the belt clip and insert that into the back of the clear plastic case FIRST. Then snap the clear plastic case onto the player. I didn't put the round piece in first, and now I am afraid to try and get the clear plastic case off because it may break. Other than this one issue, the package works great and will probably extend the life of my player!
I bought this along with my Sansa Fuze player. Have used the auto charger and the wall charger several times. I would say these are necessities for travelling--even prefer using the wall charger when I'm at home. The only other thing needed is a skin for the player. I chose not to use the clear plastic cover since I read a few other reviews where people had trouble getting that cover off without having to break it.
I am a Baby Boomer and thought I totally missed the entire MP3 Ipod You pod thing. The SanDisk was recommended by my IT Whiz Kid Son-in-Law. I did it, I understand it, I use it and still I slip and call it a scandisk. Go figure. I got the 8G model and have loaded it with audio books and music. So easy, just click and drag from my laptop once I purchase them on line. I ride the train to work everyday and have listened to 5 novels. I love it because it is small enough to be very light, fits in my pocket or in my old lady bra, and is so very easy to use.
I was impressed with how many actual things you got in the package for a measly 10 dollars. You get the case, a belt clip (that screws into the back of the case - remember to do this BEFORE assembling it!), wall charger, car charger, universal charging cord and a nifty little cord/real that you use with the plug in your car stereo. I like the last one because of the auto-real feature (guess I am a kid at heart and like toys!). Plus you get a screen cleaner and a screen cover (keep it from being scratched).
Anyway you slice it that is a lot of stuff for 10 bucks plus shipping...
OK I will admit everything is not top shelf, but the case is hard and solid and I can reach all the controls after I installed it, and I think the belt clip will lat a wile if I am careful with it. I would not turn this stuff over to a kid because they would break it in a week, but a careful adult should make it last quite a wile...
Well worth the price to me, and then some...
Love all the stuff that comes with it. Everything works well however; I do not like the difficulty the hard case poses to the on/off and lock key.
The hard case makes it difficult to reach the on/off button with out long finger nails and a second hand.
This is a great kit for the Sansa Fuze at a great price. The chargers, sync cable, and audio cable all work. The plastic case fits very snug and offers great protection for your Fuze.
A warning to potential buyer!
You will need to modify the plastic case if you want to use your original sync cable and easily use the on/off/hold button. I used a Dremel tool to widen the bottom opening. I also thinned the side opening for the on/off slider button. You will probably want to do this before you attach the case, because it can be a pain to pop apart.
This was inexpensive, compared to buying all this stuff as OEM products. I think the quality is good enough to do the job. If you want better quality, shell out a lot more money for the OEM stuff! As for me, I'll stick with this. Everything fit well, and seems to work just fine.
Some Notes:
Clip
I wish the clip weren't white. Black would match everything much better.
The clip comes in two white pieces: the round part and the clip part. Because the clear case is hard to get off, don't snap it on the player before you install the round part on the back portion of the case. That round part is a post that will snap into the clip part. This is nice, because it means you can unfasten the player from the white clip part if you don't need the clip.
Case
Case fit perfectly. I expected it to look a bit cheaper than it did. Cool.
It's a hard plastic case that will protect from scratches, but not as well from drops as a silicone case might. But perhaps if the drop were short enough, the case would take the damage and the player would be fine.
I could see how others were having problems getting it off without breaking it. That's just because it has a tight fit, and they kept the plastic thin so that it wouldn't thicken up the player too much. I looked at the way the tabs fit the two pieces together so that I would know which half to pry up if I needed to take them apart. Use a very thin, but rigid tool (not a normal screwdriver, it's too thick) and some care & patience, and I'll bet you could pry them apart without breaking them.
USB cable
...also looked better than I thought. Seems to work just fine. It fit well with the case installed, as well.
Audio cord
The ratcheting audio cable is the kind like window blinds - you pull it out to the length you want, and it locks itself. Then, to retract, you pull it just a bit. - Sansa Charger - Fuze - Sansa Case - Sandisk'

Homeschool Schedules - homeschool, homeschool curriculum
I've read a lot of homeschooling books in planning for my children's education and I learned something from each one, whether I liked the book or not! This book, however, is a planner's dream! It truly has you plan from the bottom up, applying thought to aspects of homeschooling that I had not previously considered.
Cathy Duffy begins by having you come up with your own philosophy of education. As she puts it, "If there were no laws requiring you to educate your child, what would you want them to learn anyway?" Wow! That question really gets to the heart of the matter for most people choosing to homeschool. Then, she has you consider your thoughts about how you want to teach and run your school (teach different ages together, work directly with your children or have them work independently, real books vs. textbooks, field trips, adhering to a schedule or remaining flexible, etc.). She has you take a sort of quiz about your preferred approaches to learning that shows which styles might appeal to you most. After leaning so heavily toward Charlotte Mason after all my reading, I was somewhat surprised to find that I have an equally high regard for unit studies and--gasp!--unschooling (a "curriculum" choice that petrifies me a bit)! She describes the various homeschooling methods (traditional, Charlotte Mason, classical, unit study, unschooling, independent study, eclectic, and umbrella programs). Then, she asks you to consider your confidence/experience level, time available to teach, finances, and religious beliefs. In addition, one of the most important differences about this book is that it addresses your teaching style and your child's learning style. This is such an important consideration when deciding what curriculum to choose. I'm sad to admit that I've been so gleefully planning what I want them to learn and what I think they'll enjoy that I've given very little SERIOUS thought to their perspective about things. Not anymore...
Finally, the discussion of her top 100 picks begins. The curriculum choices are introduced with a chart. The format helps you pick resources that are aligned with what you now know are your homeschooling preferences. Each curriculum is ranked for the following criteria: (1) Multi-sensory/hands-on (2)structure/rules-oriented (3) logical/analytical learners (4) social activity (5) amount of parent instruction (6) independent study vs. one-on-one (7) amount of writing (8) prep time (9) grade level specific vs. multi-level (10) ease of use for teacher (11) necessity for teacher's manual (12) supportive of Charlotte Mason's philosophy (13) supportive of classical education (14) religious affiliations. Using the chart, it was easy to look for a unit study or Charlotte Mason approach that would accomodate my Wiggly Willy and my Sociable Sue who work at different grade levels.
Some critics of the book feel that the author leans too heavily on Christian resources so I actually did a count for those interested. Of her 100 picks, there were 15 Catholic choices, 41 Protestant choices, and 54 were religiously neutral. (They don't add up to 100 because some would work for both Protestants and Catholics, some neutrals could add religious supplements, etc.) If you consider that probably AT LEAST 50% of homeschoolers are keeping their children at home so they can offer religious instruction, I don't think those numbers are in any way out of balance.
If you are looking for an umbrella curriculum (one that covers all the subjects) you should know that she really goes in depth into only two, Calvert School (neutral) and Sonlight (Protestant). However, some of the unit studies she discusses could be used as a full program with a few additional choices for neglected subjects. (Only one of the seven unit study programs, Five in a Row, is religiously neutral.) If an umbrella curriculum is what you're looking for, you would be better off requesting catalogs and information from companies offering that service rather than buying this book. Otherwise, the curriculum choices included in this book fall under the following categories: (1) phonics/reading/literature (2) math (3) grammar and composition (4) spelling and vocabulary (5) history/social science (6) science (7) unit studies (8) foreign language (9) miscellaneous.
Her picks definitely cover a wide range of methodology. Some will appeal to you and some won't. What I find is that in researching something that is appealing (usually on Amazon), I invariably follow link after link until I wind up reading so many reviews that I more fully understand the pros and cons of each curriculum choice I make. What a wonderful thing! I would rank this book with the top four homeschooling books I have read (Rebecca Rupp's "Home Learning Year by Year," Charlotte Mason's "Original Homeschooling Series," and Karen Andreola's "A Charlotte Mason Companion"). 100 Top Picks for Homeschool Curriculum: Choosing the Right Curriculum and Approach for Your Child's Learning Style
We just got back from the 2005 Indiana state homeschool convention -- what a vast array of curriculum in their exhibit hall! It was just the place for Moms and Dads to look at what's new and compare with the old. There is so much new curricula on the market today that for many, especially those new to homeschooling, it can be rather confusing and overwhelming. Cathy Duffy's newest book 100 Top Picks for Homeschool Curriculum has come along at just the right time to help us sort out all our many choices.
I love Cathy Duffy's dedication at the beginning of this book: "To the thousands of dedicated homeschoolers who have resisted the impulse to imitate "real school" and have chosen instead to figure out what is best for each of their children, even if it meant writing their own curriculum. You have made the world of homeschool curriculum far richer than the most well-funded schools in the world."
And what Cathy has done in her book is to help us do just that -- figure out what is best for each of our children. Under her direction, using pertinent questions and an easy-to-use chart, a homeschooling mom can determine which of the eight approaches to homeschooling would fit her child's learning style and her own overall goals and priorities for her child's education. It takes the guesswork and confusion out of homeschooling.
The largest portion of the book is taken up with Cathy's reviews of her "100 Top Picks" for homeschooling books and curricula. She gives us thorough descriptions and necessary ordering details, strengths and weaknesses of the curriculum, and her own impressions on how it would work with the different learning styles. One of the best features of this book is an amazing eight page chart putting all the information together so parents can see at a glance and compare and contrast all the details of each "Top Pick."
I would suggest that if you're having a hard time wading through all of your curriculum choices, you might consider buying 100 Top Picks. Keep it handy, because you'll be consulting it often. - Homeschool Curriculum - Homeschool How To - Charlotte Mason - Homeschool'

I could tell that Massad Ayoob's THE GUN DIGEST BOOK OF CONCEALED CARRY was going to be a good read when I saw the first photo of the first chapter: it showed how one should handle getting a hug while carrying a concealed firearm. This sort of practical and useful information is what fills this book. I own other books on carrying concealed firearms, but this is the first one I've seen that was able to do an authoritative and exhaustive catalog of the things that need to be considered. I've been carrying for more than two decades, and I am impressed with this book.
Gun Digest did the right thing in getting Massad Ayoob to author this book. Ayoob is a police officer, competitive shooter and trainer who is also a master writer and riveting storyteller. As an individual licensed to carry a concealed firearm, I've been reading his informative columns and books since the `80s. As a criminal defense lawyer, I'm familiar with the high esteem in which the Bar holds Ayoob as an expert witness on such matters. His training is held in high regard by the firearms community, and he has designed holsters and other police gear that have been very favorably received. Ayoob's ability to precisely and accurately communicate legal information to lay people is renowned - and it's certainly on display in this book. I can't think of a better author for this book.
Ayoob's 254-page THE GUN DIGEST BOOK OF CONCEALED CARRY covers a breadth of subject area that I would have found intimidating to contemplate. Fortunately, it appears that his decades of training police and civilians in firearms matters well prepared him for the task. The book, well illustrated with hundreds of clear black and white photos, begins with an overview of considerations that come with carrying a concealed firearm, as well as thoughts about why concealed carry might be something that would be helpful to a given woman or man. Ayoob then delves in some detail into the legal considerations of where, how and what to carry, modifications, ammunition, etc. He discusses when deadly force can legally be used, illustrating and fleshing out his points with true stories to keep it interesting, but always carefully writing in such a way that accurate information is conveyed. The author is always cautious to ensure that he recommends the safest legal course of action to his readers. There's no macho loudmouthing here - Ayoob is thoughtful and precise in his discussions of legal matters . . . and the subject warrants no less.
The practical matters of what might best suit an individual for carry are delved into in great detail, all illustrated with photos of different women and men of different builds - really demonstrating the points under discussion. Ayoob mentions small but vital considerations that most folks only learn after years of carry. Sitting down with THE GUN DIGEST BOOK OF CONCEALED CARRY gives the reader access to a master's knowledge of how to select a wardrobe for concealed carry, which defensive loads to use, the dangers of overpenetration, the advantages and disadvantages of every type of carry option and well-illustrated tips on the use of such. Open carry and IDPA competition are given consideration as well.
This book is not about how to shoot or how to select a carry gun for a given individual's needs: Ayoob's well-received 2007 sister volume, THE GUN DIGEST BOOK OF COMBAT HANDGUNNERY, provides guidance in these areas. While I've referred new shooters to the COMBAT HANDGUNNERY book, I believe the new 2008 GUN DIGEST BOOK OF CONCEALED CARRY is perhaps more even more vital for them to own. I would recommend that anyone who considers carrying a handgun add both of these books to their library. While they would provide an unbelievable education for a newbie, a veteran concealed carrier will find great and valuable information in them as well.
I have given copies of Ayoob's COMBAT HANDGUNNERY book as gifts to shooter friends, and you can bet that I will be buying copies of this new CONCEALED CARRY book to supplement these gifts. I don't know a defensive handgun shooter who would not derive some benefit from this book, and I'll be ordering some for friends and family members. Amazon has a pretty astonishing price on this book, by the way, at about 35% off the cover price that you'll find in your neighborhood bookstore. Gun Digest Book of Concealed Carry
I have known the author of The Gun Digest Book of Concealed Carry for about ten years now, and also know several of the people mentioned and pictured in this book. Reading through it felt like attending an extended lecture from one of Mas's classes at the Lethal Force Institute. I have personally taken a number of those classes and thought I would have a strong feeling of "been there, heard that" reading this book, but instead found myself either learning or remembering something important in almost every chapter. You might expect this book to feel like an advertisement for the latest whiz-bang product from some company advertising in a gun magazine. Not so. Rather, it is a compiliation of Mas's fifty odd years of carrying firearms for self protection, and over thirty years teaching this material to others. Reading it feels like sitting down for drinks and an extended Q&A session with the author.
The chapters are laid out in a logical fashion such that the reader should just start at page one and continue until the end of the book. Too often, books in this category are set out in a pick and choose format, where the reader needs to look at the table of contents or an index to find something relevant. With Concealed Carry, just start reading and continue learning until you hit the back cover.
Mas starts with why people carry firearms, and the lifestyle choices and changes that such a decision will require. Once he has helped get your mind right about the concept, he moves on to choosing firearms and ammunition for self defense. The firearms he recommends are those he has shot, or seen work in law enforcement, shooting classes, and competition. The primary need in a defensive firearm is reliability. Mas shows that you don't have to spend thousands on a custom firearm in order to achieve this. Most firearms shown are off-the-shelf items from your local gun shop with only tritium sights or laser grips added for night use. He only recommends those which work, and which he has used.
Once you have picked out a firearm, you'll need a holster. Mas goes through them by type, including strong side hip, inside waist band, cross draw, shoulder, pocket, and ankle holsters, among others. He goes through the advantages and disadvantages of each, and explains situations where one choice might be better than another. Just like with the firearms, Mas tells the reader which holsters he has used and which work for him. By virtue of having taught thousands of people over the years, Mas also explains what works for different body types that do not necessarily work for him. Many instructors fall into the trap of "what works for me must work for you too." Not Mas. He freely acknowledges that his style of carry may not work for women, large males, those who spend lots of time seated, etc. The holster chapters are extensive and well written. They also allow the readers to obtain information as to what will work best for them. I would advise anyone considering purchasing a "one size fits all" type nylon holster at a gun show to put that same money into this book and learn what works and what doesn't.
Once Mas has the reader squared away as to attitude, hardware, and holsters, he then moves on to the final two topics: clothing and practice. Those who carry learn how to dress around the firearm so as to keep it out of sight in public. Most people do not want to see non law enforcement officers carrying firearms openly in most states. Some hard headed gunnies refuse to acknowledge this. Mas explains the harm that can result from ignoring this fact. He has a whole chapter on clothing choices specifically designed to keep self defense firearms concealed. When you carry firearms for self defense, eventually you learn to dress around the gun. This book will jump start the process.
Most people who carry firearms for self defense will take only one training class, usually the one to get the license, if even that. Mas explains the perils which can befall someone who chooses to carry only some of the time, or not practice the skills needed to draw and reholster a firearm in a self defense situation. He is a big proponent of competition in order to help develop those skills, including IPSC/USPSA, NRA Action Pistol (Bianchi Cup), and especially IDPA matches. The irony of the situation is that those who carry on a daily basis, train with professional instructors, and regularly compete with firearms become less likely to need those skills the better they get.
I rank this book as a "must read" along with In The Gravest Extreme, by the same author. For about the same cost as a box of premium self defense ammunition (useful) or a gun show special holster (not useful), get this book and read it cover to cover. It answers lots of questions about concealed carry and is the next best thing to actually taking a class from Massad Ayoob.'

Doorbell Extension - doorbell, wireless doorbell
We added on to the house, and couldn't hear the existing doorbell from the new addition.
This great product adds a second, battery powered ringer triggered by a new, included lighted button.
Simply replace your old doorbell button with the new one (TURN OFF THE POWER FIRST!). It's powered by the existing doorbell circuit.
Next, install three AA batteries in the new remote bell unit.
PRESTO! the button rings both your old bell and the new, battery powered one!
You can mount the new bell on a wall, or leave it out where you can get to it and take it with you if you are out gardening or working in the garage so you never miss the doorbell!
And, its CHEAP! I think I paid $14, and the new button is better looking than my old one.
Buy it, you'll like it! Wireless Doorbell Extender 300ft Range Loud Better Bell
I've had difficulty hearing the doorbell in our home when working in a back room office. This doorbell extender has made all the difference in the world. I had missed several visitors and now I hear every time the doorbell rings. The only thing that could improve this product is having more than one remote bell available to use from the same doorbell button.
I only paid $4.49 each for these. I bought 3, HOPING that the one button would work on all three receivers -- IT DOESN'T (in case you're thinking of trying the same.)
My only complaint with the unit is that the battery cover on the receiver uses screws. Seems to me a simple snap on cover would have sufficed and made changing the batteries that much easier.
The chime is DING DING DONG. (high high low) A push button changes the loudness.
The holes for the screws to the door button is offset and didn't line up with the existing holes for the old button. Again, you'd think they could engineer that a bit better, and my button is installed on brick, so I didn't want to drill yet another hole. But it comes with a fitted double-sided sticky pad which you can use instead of the screws. I used both -- the pad helps keep it in place and I used the top screw to ensure it stays on the house.
All in all a decent product at the price. - Doorbell Extension - Wireless Doorbells - Doorbell - Wireless Doorbell'

I was really happy with this purchase. The seller was great (speedy shipping) and the item was excellent. I'm 5'5" and it had alittle extra length in the legs, so if you're tall it should fit perfectly. Plus it's soft...rather than some of the itchier variety of fishnets or if you have sensitive skin...and it stood up to hand washing. Great buy! Sexy Fishnet Seamless Bodystocking, Red, One Size, Halter Style
I received this and at first I was like wow, that is too cute. But in just 3 hours, it had 4 holes. Of course after buying many of fishnet outfits I know to be very cautious because fishnet snags so easily but this one was too easy to snag. but i will say that it is very cute though. You wouldn't really look forward to a fishnet lasting a long time anyway. Another thing too is that the collar which is lace and very pretty, doesn't stay flat, it draws up a little bit. I am very short and pretty curvy and it fit me well so I wouldn't worry about it being one size fits all. All in all it's an alright outfit. As far as attractive, I give it a 4. And as far as durability I give it a 2.
I ordered this to go under my red halter sheer baby doll. I was worried about the size but it fit with no problem and I'm a 2x.
Wash by hand separately. When I washed the first time I got a lot of dye in the wash water. - Jenny'

Windshield Mount - iphone mount, car mount
I like this item. The good reviews for this item are warranted, but it isn't without flaws, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars and not 4 or 5. The overall construction of this item is good. The lever for the suction cup makes it easy for it to stick to your windshield. The platform swivels so you can adjust the angle or use it in either portrait or landscape mode. The little arms that hold the phone have a little foam on them, so they really hold the phone in place. They are also adjustable so that they can be moved to better suit your needs. Unfortunately, the arms can only be placed on what would be the top or the bottom of the phone and not the sides.
I bought this item to use with my iPhone 4G's TomTom GPS app, so I basically use this in landscape mode. I have a long commute, so I need to have my phone plugged in, which would not be a problem if I didn't also use my phone to make hands free calls. The little foam arms either block the center (where I plug the phone) or the bottom corners (where the phone has the speaker/microphone). It would be great if the arms could be place along the sides of the phone, but they can't be; until then, the item will only get three stars from me.
If you do not intend to use your iPhone as I do, do not think twice about buying this item though. Aside from the above-mentioned problem, this mount is great Arkon IPM515 Windshield/Dashboard Mount with Slim-Grip Phone Holder--Compatible with iPhone 4
I have an Iphone 4 with the Incipico case. The suction cup is super strong. The mount is very well made. It holds the phone in place very well with adjustable pegs that have rubber pads that made contact with the device. It holds the phone in place very well. So if you have a truck that bounces around, this is the mount for you. Getting the phone in and out is a two hand operation. There is room for the headphones to be plugged in and a power adaptor. You can rotate the mount to verticle or horrizontal with our without the phone in place.
My main concern when I was looking to buy a windshield mount I wanted it to be slim and VERY secure. This meets and excels my expectation. Very slim and very secure. People said it was too tight and couldn't fit with a case but I didn't experience that. Both my husband and I have the iPhone 4s. He has a bumper and I have a case and it worked great with both. The only "issue" I experienced was that the prong that holds the phone in place would accidentally lock my phone. But I just moved the prongs a little and that fixed the issue. Wish I needed another one so I could buy another one!
I had a Griffin windshield mount for my iPhone 3G. I thought that was pretty good, but it had a problem of shaking a lot with the multi-segment arm. I worried that this wouldn't provide the flexibility to position the phone where I needed it. I was wrong. This keeps it stable, holds it very tight, and allows me to position the phone perfectly.
In short: Grips the windshield well, has plenty of flexibility to position the phone, holds the phone steady and is a good sturdy build. It's pretty compact too.
One point to note, as have other reviewers, pay no attention to the grip positions in the photos. Keep the top two "fingers" in the middle to clear the power button and headphone socket, and spread the bottom two apart to make room for the power cable. It still grips the phone perfectly tightly.
Highly recommended. A great accessory.
I've always been VERY iffy about any suction cup devices that stick to the windshield due to my past experiences with TomTom suction cups (just HORRIBLE). I was expecting this to be similar, and constantly fall off the windshield, but decided to give it a shot. I have to say this product is GREAT! The first time I used it, I cleaned my windshield, then put it on, and snapped the clip so it would stick like you're suppose to do. The first time I started driving with my iPhone 4 up in it, I was VERY nervous, I don't like waiting for my phone to go flying off the windshield while im driving on the interstate at 70+mph and me freak out while doing it. But this product has YET to come off the windshield after using it every day for over a month.
As far as people saying that it blocks the ports on the phone, yes it does.....but thats why the little black things at the top and bottom move. You just have to slide them a little more toward the middle of the phone and you're good to go! Cables will fit in the headphone hack and the charging port after adjusting it which is VERY easy to do. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a holder that will not fall of your windshield while driving sending your phone flying into your dash and possibly breaking the glass. Arkon did a great job with this product!
This product is great! The suction cup is very strong and does not come loose from the windshield. The "legs" that hold the phone in the device slide left/right to avoid buttons. At first the positioning of the legs was such that it would push in the iPhone power switch and it kept activating the "Slide to power off" screen. By sliding the leg the situation was remedied! This device also fits my girlfriend's HTC Droid Incredible perfectly! The device is spring loaded and adjusts to the height of the phone. I'm pretty confident most new smart phones would fit great in here. It's very easy to adjust the angle and switch a phone from portrait to landscape. - Iphone Mount - Ipod Car Mount - Car Mount - Mount'

Lithium Ion - 18v, lithium ion
I bought my nano batteries and chargers from a local supplier who had them on sale for $99 which included 1 battery & 1 charger. I bought 3 sets. Definitely worth the money.
These batteries definitely last about 75% longer than a ni-cad and lightens up my tool tray (especially when carrying 3 batteries).
When drilling or cutting overhead, there is a noticable lighter tool feel.
My 18V Dewalt impact driver now weighs the same as my Hitachi 9.6 ni-cad impact driver.
You don't have to keep track of which batteries are at what level of charge because you can always top these off during lunch and at the end of the day.
I'm a plumbing contractor and was able to rough in a steel framed house without dragging out any cords. This house has 7 bathrooms in it.
All I used was 2 drills, 1 recip saw, 1 impact driver, 3 nano batteries, and 1 nicad battery. I had to drill holes anywhere from 1 3/8" all the way up to 4 5/8".
Honestly, I don't give a rats a$$ about the fitment difference between the ni-cad and lithium-ion. Once you start using the tool, you don't even notice it. Talk about being prissy when you are worried about looks.
The different shaped batteries allow me to immediately differentiate between the lithium-ion and the ni-cads. Being that the lithium-ions are smaller, they take up less space in my tool tray also. DEWALT DC9180C 18-Volt Battery Pack/Charger
I got mine off the 'net at [...]. It works great! A good deal lighter and longer lasting with a interchangable charger that works with older batteries....but new battery will not charge in older chargers so make sure to get the charger.
However. The slight "form factor" dissonance mentioned in other review isn't to my eyes too much of a problem at least on the 6 and half inch circular saw. Or on the finish gun that got me into Dewalt in the first place. Some change of shape is needed to keep the batteries sorted. Considering the price though...that even a 36 volt battery is cheaper...now that's the rub! Glad, though that dewalt followed Ryobi's example and not changed the formfactor so much that new tools would have to purchased...although I heard that there are problems with ryobi's new line....well, it is ryobi! Now, Milwaukee might be as good ...but so damned ugly and hard to handle...who cares?
The most annoying problem with the NiCad batteries is their inability to hold their charge over an extended period of time.
The "Nano" battery does not seem to have that problem. Although quite expensive, it is worth the xtra expense to be able to use the tool after a couple weeks of "down time' with out having to recharge.
This battery pack lasts about 2-3x longer than my current XRP batteries do(and the XRP's last a long time), it is also a little more than one pound lighter than the old batteries which really helps on those long days and when drilling overhead or with your weak hand (for me its left). another nice feature is that the charger is backwards compatible, it works with the old Nicd bateries. The only minor complaint that I have is that the engineers at DeWalt did a horrible job designing the pack, I mean what is the purpose of beveling the bottom edges???? Its only for style and its contributes to the drill's willingness to tip when used with NANO batteries(the XRPs have NO bevel which equals better stability), and IF the beveled edges are a necessity, then they could have put on some rubber overmold or something to help stability. However, if you don't stand your drill up much then it works just fine, I now have a holster I carry mine in(when it won't stay put on the ladder/skylift), works so much better. Overall the performance exceeds the XRPs by quite a bit, if you do alot of overhead drilling then this is a must or if you just don't like charging batteries.
I have been using this battery interchangeably with the standard XRP batteries with my 18 volt DeWalt tools. I use it mostly in my impact driver and my 4-1/2" "cut off tool" (grinder). I appreciate the weight reduction and the slightly different profile doesn't bother me at all. If anything it is a positive feature because it makes it easy to identify what battery you are using at the moment. With the Lithium battery the tool works at full power and then when it runs out of juice it just stops and won't even attempt to start. You would think your tool broke if you were using a Ni Cad battery and that happened. The first time it did that I couldn't figure it out. It made no indication that it was running low, unlike a Ni-Cad. Being able to glance down and due to its different profile, determine that it is a Lithium battery relieves that moment of panic. I don't purchase tools or batteries based on their looks. I can't fault the way these things work. They are great.
Charger works well, charges batteries in under 1 hour. I was impressed with the performance of the lithium ion battery. I noticed an increase in power, exteded run time, and consistant power output. Very glad I switched to LI. Charger also charges my current nicads as well.
Imagine all the times you reach for your DeWalt drill/light/trimsaw to do a 5 minute job and realize you are a couple watts short and have to recharge. Now re-imagine those same situations where your battery is still about the same charge as when you left it and you have ample power and a few extra minutes of your life back.
Those minutes add up, and they certainly cover the premium of switching at least a few of these guys into your battery rotation.
Yes they fit any 18V DeWalt you have, and yes the ornamental tool lip mating to the battery will stick out a little bit over the smaller form factor 18V Lions. Purely cosmetic - and most owners won't even notice.
Extra Bonus: It is noticeably lighter!
I bought the battery at a big box store 2 years ago to replace older worn out ni-cad batteries. I could live with the slight mismatch in shape with my old tools. It's also lighter than the old ni-cads. At first it was a huge improvement on the old ni-cad's which had been slowly losing capacity for a long time. After 2 years of occasionally heavy use the capacity is getting very bad. I'm not a professional, but I have used it heavily on some projects. I'm so disappointed that I'm now considering ditching my considerable dewalt investment and going with makita. - Nano - Battery - 18v - Lithium Ion'

Personal Transformation - self-help, life
Looking to our elders for guidance is a time honored and wise practice that unfortunately is not played out often enough. John Izzo encourages us to go back to that tradition in his book "The Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die." Seeking the secrets to happiness, it makes sense to look to those who have lived it.
John interviewed over 200 people, all over the age of 60 and some up into their hundreds, who had been identified by their own friends and family as "the one person they knew who had found happiness and meaning." These people were asked such questions as: "What has brought you the greatest sense of meaning and purpose in life?" and "What is the greatest fear at the end of life?" They were asked to finish the sentence: "I wish I had..." These elders came from all walks of life and acted many roles; some were authors, professors, or business owners, others were a nurse, psychologist, biologist, and a barber. Amazingly, or expectedly, their answers were quite similar. Therein are the five secrets.
The first, and only one I will divulge, is "Be True to Your Self." Of course this can mean different things to each person who reads the words, but author John Izzo guides readers to the purpose behind them. His guidance leads one to ask in this chapter, "Am I following my heart?" "Is my life focused on the things that really matter to me?" and "Am I being the person I want to be in this world?" Answering these questions will lead a person to be true to themselves. Izzo demonstrates the secret by sharing stories from his interviewees. They share by example, much as elders have done since the dawn of humanity. This brings the secret to life for us, and then Izzo gives us homework. He gives us questions to ask ourselves each day or week, that bring the secret home and to the front of the mind. Practice, practice, practice. And so on, with each of the five secrets.
This book is a gem. It is an obvious quest to go to our wise members of society and seek answers to life's questions, but many of us no longer do it. "The Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die" does it for us, and hopefully will prompt us to do it ourselves with our own elders. The stories here are all about living wisely, living in the moment; some are funny, while others are poignant. All should be thought-provoking. The consistency of the lessons makes for an easy to understand and digest plan. Taking one secret at a time to work on may be best for some people, pausing in the consumption of the book to work on that particular goal. Other may devour the entire book in one sitting and go back to reflect more carefully as they consider each message. The end result is surely one that will be self fulfilling and inspired. While the title may cause one to stop for a second, for good reason and cause, the content and purpose is wisdom. The Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die
John Izzo interviewed 200+ people over the age 60 who were described by many others as happy and wise people. Through in-depth interviews, he learns the five secrets of life:
1. Why do some people find meaning & die happy
2. Why I talked to the town barber (and 200 other people over 60) about life
3. The first secret: be true to your self
4. The second secret: leave no regrets
5. The third secret: become love
6. The fourth secret: live the moment
7. The fifth secret: give more than you take
8. When you know you have to go (putting secrets into practice)
9. Preparing to die well: happy people are not afraid to die
10.A final lesson: it's never too late to live the secrets
Epilogue: How this book changed me
The author writes in conversational tone and supported his secrets with colorful anecdotes and personal reflections. For example, in the second secret (leave no regrets) Izzo states that in "his experience from the last 30 years, validated in these interviews, death is not what we fear the most. When we have lived life fully and done what we hoped to do, we can accept death with grace. What we fear most is not having lived to the fullest extent possible, to come to the end of our life with our final words being `I wish I had.'...to leave no regrets we must live with courage, moving toward what we want rather than away from what we fear."
While the 5 secrets aren't a surprise to many, there are many powerful insights in this book that leave you thinking. And while it's one thing to know the secrets, it's an entirely different (and more difficult) matter to put them into action.
If you enjoyed this book, pick up John's Izzo other gem - Second Innocence.
What are the secrets to finding happiness and living wisely? This second line of the first chapter captures the purpose of Dr. John Izzo's new book The Five Serects You Must Discover Before You Die (2008 Berrett-Koehler Publishers, Inc.). The book is an urgent plea to the reader to embrace life--in ever encounter, every experience, every emotion every single day.
Izzo proposes we do that by accepting that life is limited to an unknown amount of time for each of us but that within this limited time we have unlimited opportunities to choose to find meaning by living a purposeful life and thereby find happiness.
He interviewed several hundred older people--"wise elders"--based on the recommendations of persons who recognized them as sources of wisdom. In this way, Izzo turns to ordinary folks who have lived full lives for the wisdom necessary to do the same. If other great teachers of our time and previous times have said it before, so be it. Now we receive the wisdom from the local barber, the Holocaust survivor, the grandma on the porch rocker.....All of Izzo's sources are over 60 because, the author said, this is the age at which most people tend to reflect on life. They're done having and getting; they are looking back on all that they have done.
This diverse group offered insights that came down to these five points:
1. Be true to yourself by living with intention. Know your heart's desire and seek it.
2. Live with no regrets. Regrets, Izzo said, are most persons' biggest fear--not dying itself. So mend fences, make peace, and move your life into a place of peace. The best way to live without regret, Izzo says, is to take chances, pursue those dreams, and accept the failure that might be your way. Rather than be crushed by failure, learn from it.
3. Become love. Love is not an emotion but a choice, a way of being that involves seeing ourselves and others with kindness and compassion. That love creates the opportunities to follow your bliss, heal hurts in yourself and others, and to find peace despite challenges and hardships.
4. Live in the moment. Right here right. That's all.
5. Give more than you take. Izzo explores that wonderful idea of finding yourself and then losing yourself. Once you identify your heart's desire and live your life pursuing it, the chance of accumulating any regrets is reduced. Once you become love, kindness itself becomes part of your purpose, and each moment offers all the joy of a lifetime. This creates an abundance of resources in the forms of love, trust, hope, joy, kindness, compassion. Draw from this deep well and give it away. Leave the campsite better than you found it, as one wise elder put it.
And then, as the saying goes, you will wake each day knowing it is a good day to die.

Hanging File Folder Bars - hanging folders, file
Not much to say about file folders, is there? I mean, they lasted all year (no tearing, some wearing), holding my students' classwork and various other paperwork. They seemed a bit expensive, but these days I order pretty much everything I need through Amazon for the convenience. Plus, now that I'm a Prime Member (best thing ever), I can think I need something, and actually have it within 2 days. Can't beat that. Smead Expandable Hanging File Pockets, Letter Size, 3-1/2-Inch-Capacity, Assorted Colors, 4 Pack (64290)
When I ordered this file pockets I thought that the concept was a good idea. File pockets that expand, yea that could work instead of the traditional pockets that, when they become over loaded, tend to bulge, lose their shape and fall off the file brackets.
Pro...they expand
Con...you have to place the files within the accordion like folds. You cannot just put a file in the pocket, you have to strategically place them in order for them to fit correctly.
I haven't actually expanded the file pockets to the maximum, so I don't know if doing so would fix the problem that I seem to have with them.
Other than that, they are file pockets. They hold files. That's what they do.
First of all, I wish the product page specified that these folders are made of cardboard. It only says it's made from 10% recycled material. I thought it was made of recycled plastic. I bought these because they are expandable and I store a lot of files. They are sturdy enough and having different colors is a plus in organizing. I would give it 5-stars because Smead is a good brand but the price is a bit steep, especially since it's only cardboard, just like any folder. - Office Supplies - File Folders - File - Hanging Folders'

I keep these on hand all the time. I've replaced all my candles (tons and tons of candles) with flameless candles with timers (some with dual timers) that require 2 "C" batts each for 1,000-1,500 hours 'burn' time, depending on the style of 'candle'. I also have solar lanterns that hang from shepherd's hooks looped through my chain link fence Spring through Fall months that use "C"s.
Having said that, with this product, my burn time and brightness of the candles and lanterns last much longer than estimated by the manufacturers of those products (Candle Impressions), whether the candles are 'on' all the time or using them with the timers. The same holds true for the extended brightness of the stained glass (plastic) lanterns outside as compared to other C batteries I've tried in the past. They are wonderful for all those times I lose power here (and that's a lot) from wind, storms, rain, freezing rain and drizzle, snow, transformers blowing out, or sneezing. :)
I've also given the flameless candles as gifts to those who like the idea of eliminating the safety hazards of real candles that must be carefully placed and watched in their homes and always include these batteries with the gift.
Can't go wrong. I monitor this product regularly and pick it up when on sale so I never run out. Reliable, long lasting, dependable, good value. Can't go wrong. Rayovac ALC-12 UltraPRO Alkaline C Batteries, 12-Pack
I guess you get what you pay for. Yes, it's a decent price for a bundle of batteries, but I've found -- after twice using a pair of them in low-drain electronic weather stations and rarely used remotes -- that they're exhausted WAY too quickly. I'll stick to the copper top!
We use these batteries in candles for our windows. This is our second order and so far none of these has leaked and they last as long or longer than any other batteries that we've tried. We've used cheaper batteries, but found leakage to be a problem.
Are these the best batteries? No. I wouldn't use them in kids toys because I hate replacing batteries constantly. These are great for our Delta touch2O sink and other applications that don't suck up the juice.
I skeptically bought these a year ago because they were inexpensive compared to the major brands. Well, 12 months later they are still going strong in a pair of wireless speakers that get a fair amount of use. I'm buying another package.
These guys have been powering a juice hog of a super-toy from Christmas that has gotten quite a lot of use. I've been surprised I haven't had to replace them earlier. Can't beat that when relying on a battery.
I bought these for 6 battery operated flickering candles in my front windows. They have been burning for about 12 hours each night for about 3 weeks and still going strong. also, importantly, best price around.
Used these batteries in flashlights that we bought for our kids. The batteries didn't last 24 hours in them before they needed to be replaced.
Spend the extra money and get batteries that will last! Wish I did... - Bundle - Rayovac - Pack - Battery'
