Telephone - dect, answering machine

I did alot of research before purchasing the CL82209. Attractive looking. I like being able to listen to messages with handsets rather than going to the base unit. Load phone numbers in one handset and it updates the other. Lighted keypad is nice. Sound is good. Handsets have good range. Battery life is very good so far. Have had phone for a couple months now. If you want to nitpic, would like more control over number of rings before answering machine picks up. Overall I am very pleased with this phone. I am really bad for researching things to death before purchasing. I will recommend this phone to friends. AT&T DECT 6.0 Black/Silver Digital Dual Handset Answering System (CL82209)

I got these phones yesterday and I just have to say I love them!

My old phone quit charging and I had to start looking for a new one.

I first thought about getting Panasonic ones but after I read some reviews, I found out they didn't have some features that I wanted.

So I decided to go with AT & T. I am so glad I did.

These phones have everything you can imagine and then some.

They are so easy to use. I can take them anywhere in the house.

They don't need to be charged all the time.

Intercom is one of many great features these phone offer.

The price was very reasonable and I am very happy with them.

Purchased this phone after seeing a good rating from Consumer Reports. Pleased so far with it's performance. My only complaint: the buttons could have a nicer feel. They seem thin and cheap. I wouldn't go with the silvering next time.

Good basic phone.

Pros:

* Excellent sound quality

* Features it has work the way they should and are easy to use

* Large buttons

* Easily and cheaply expandable

Cons:

* Very limited feature set - missing basic features such as speed dial

* Realistic range is far less than advertised - more like 50 feet across two floors. It may be possible to get longer range, for example if you live in a single story house with no walls.

This phone is a good value for the price although it is missing some basic features. The base is compatible with other DECT phones in the AT&T line, so at some point I may add a handset with more features.

I bought these phones after doing quite a bit of research on other sites. These phones were highly recommended, so I decided to give them a try (I had previously bought two Panasonic phones which I had to return because there was a lot of static on the line, and they interfered with the wireless router). I just received these phones and have already received an international call. The reception was crystal clear athough I moved to different locations of the house. These phones were extremely easy to set up, and the features are great. I like that it blinks when I have a voicemail - I always used to forget to check my messages.

We've been using the phones for a few days and so far we love them.

They have, by far, the best sound quality of any cordless phones we've had (we've gone through 3 or 4 sets in the last 10 years).

The sound is crisp in local, long distance, and international long distance calls. We can hear clearly, and the person on the other end can too.

The sound is also very clear when using speaker phone.

The features are intuitive and easy to use and set up.

You only need to enter settings and numbers in one of the phones, and the other second one automatically synchs in.

Unlike other phone sets, you have to set the answering machine using the phone. This doesn't bother us, but it is worth noting as something different.

Regarding a question someone had: yes, you can check your messages using the phone itself (no need to do it from the answering machine).

The buttons are large.

No "antenna like" protrusions that tend to break when phones fall.

Very good value for the money.

The final challenge will be to see how much the buttons and battery last.

These phones are easy to set up, the battery lasts a long time, and the sound quality is perfectly acceptable. I don't hear any static interference when using the phone. The phones make it easy to store your favorite numbers, and these are saved across both handsets automatically. I just wish it had a speed-dial feature like my old Sony phone, where you can press the speeddial button and then a digit on the keybad to dial your people. If the phone can do this, please somebody let me know and I'll update this review!

It has a greater range than anything else I have tried. I was particularly interested in being able to use it in my very large back yard. You young folks won't have any trouble figuring out all the settings. Us seniors take a little longer, but I have the basics down at least. I replaced two dead phones with this and I am very pleased.

this phone looks nice, but of poor quality, from beginning it was a bad connection-relatives could not hear me, I called the phone repair service, and the guy told me-he heard many complains about this particular phone, and why I did not buy panasonic, which was my second choice. Bad connection, but worse when other people calls interfere with my conversation, and its unsafe to use. I returned it for a refund, tnx to amazon. - Answering Machine - Dect Cordless Phone - Att Cordless Phone - Dect'

Music Player - cheap, tablet pc

I bought one of this tablets. I already have an Ipad (I am an Apple fan - iphone, ipad and mac) and I want it as a gift to my son this christmas. I have read good and bad reviews about this products and some other tablets. When I received it I decide to open it and play a little bit since I wanted to knew if my son would like it. Please, keep in mind it is not and IPAD. With that in mind, I test it and found very capable for what it is. However, it has no Android Market. So I google how to solve the problem and found a blog where someone tells you how to install a 2.0 ROM on it (this tablet is running 1.6 ROM which is old and slower). I downloaded it, follow instructions and "voila", now: (i) tablet is faster; (ii) I do have android market; (iii) battery last longer (2:15 with wireless on all time); (iv) I can download many free apps. Overall I found that for what you pay, this tablet is quite impressive. Come on, it is not an ipad killer, but for browsing, emailing, working docs on the go, and play some games, it is GREAT!!!. I did not rate it 5 stars because: (i) built materials feels cheap, which is understandable because of the price; (ii) it is not very fast, which is also understandable since it has a slow processor; and (iii) the back of the device heats a lot after 30 minutes or more of use. Maylong M-150 7 Inch Univere Tablet PC Powered By Android

OK, so I bought this for my 12-year-old son who begged for an ipad for Christmas. There was NO WAY I was spending $499.00 or more for an ipad for him - especially when I had already spent a ton on a new 360 and several video games.

I bought this for $99 (not sure if it was a sale or not) and figured if I wasn't happy I wasn't out a ton of money. The earlier reviews made me very cautious because they seemed so iffy. I also wasn't sure my son was even going to use an ipad because he is mostly into games and I thought his request might be more of a novelty issue than a want/need request. WOW!!! I am SO HAPPY!!

As soon it was shipped I took it out of the box and played with it - looking for issues and the other problems people had posted about or being "scammed." Luckily I'm pretty tech savvy so maybe that is what made everything so easy, but within minutes I was surfing the net, scrolling through the two books preloaded on the device, watching videos on YouTube and terribly impressed! (Along those lines, there is a YouTube video for this product that I found very helpful.) I hadn't even bothered to read the manual on how to use the tablet because my time was limited before my son got home from school. Again, all I can say is WoW!!!

I was so impressed, in fact, I bought a second one for my husband and had him buy one for me!!! I only spent an hour playing on the tablet, but it was more than I could have ever hoped for!!! I'm sure there are some "issues" with this when you compare it to an ipad, but I have never had an ipad and this device was so easy to handle (it felt weighty in my hands too - not cheap feeling), has a touch screen, was priced right, and did some AMAZING things. I'm so happy with it I feel like a kid at Christmas and can't wait to open mine on Christmas day!!!

I guess what I'm trying to say is if you really want an ipad buy the ipad because you are just going to compare everything to it and be unhappy with your purchase. If you are looking for something along the lines of an ipad, but not sure you want to invest that kind of money, this is the product for you. I'm going to college in January and plan to download my school books on it and there are 100s of free Android apps to use on it. Love, love, loved it!!

I received my tablet today and I love it I read many reviews. Before I bought and was skeptical about the item but decided to buy and try it for myself, got it and it works well for me I wasn't expecting a Ipad at all but the reason I purchased this item because I can't afford a ipad, the touch screen it slowl but not to much camera doesn't show as well but I'm not gonna use it videos show ok and I up loaded it to 2.0 great buy I love it

I bought one of these at Walgreens and ended up returning it. It does not allow you to purchase software or download from the actual Android market. You can download from a market but there is little software and I had little luck getting any of it to install or work if it did install at all. The screen resolution is good but I could not get any video to play in any format it was supposed to support. I wrote their tech support and they acted like I was crazy. They said they were able to play the videos in those formats just fine...great! The only videos that did play well were from Youtube. The ebook features works OK. The music player plays MP3 music well too. There was no way I could install and use PDF files. I could not read graphic novels on it. Periodically I got error messages when I tried to use a program. Surfing the net was clumsy. The touch screen is not very responsive but I could have lived with it if the thing played my videos. It has a mico SD slot but videos would not play well from it nor would they play installed directly on the meager 2GB internal storage. If you want to hook up a USB key, you have to plug in an additional unit to do so. It worked OK though..it just sticks out like a sore thumb. I tried plugging in my External USB hard drive units to play video, music etc. but none of them would work. Buy this if you like to watch Youtube video and play your music or view your pictures or read a book on it. The battery like if poor. You might get an hour or maybe two out of it before having to recharge. The thing takes forever to boot too. You are given a stylus to use if you do not want to use digits for the touch screen. - Android - Tablet Pc - Tablet - Cheap'

Iphone Car Mount - car mount, iphone car mount

I bought this product wanting to use my phone as a GPS without laying it freely on the dashboard and letting it slide around. I also wanted to have the iPod controls right in front of me without having to pick the phone up and look off the road too much. I received this about a month ago and it works very well. I've had no issues with the suction cup falling off the windshield. If you don't want to mount the device to the windshield, or are prohibited by law to do so, it comes with a small adhesive disc for dashboard mounting. You can orient the phone in any way that you want, and the swivel the phone mounts to can be adjusted to any tightness of preference. The phone, as expected, does not shake when mounted inside the device. The only drawback is that you have to remove your case to place your phone inside, but my case is a two piece that easily slides on and off, so this is just a minor inconvenience to me. I figured this would be the case when I bought the product, but the units available on Amazon that allow cases looked like ugly, blocky pieces of garbage to me. Overall, for the money that I paid, I'm very satisfied with this windshield mount and recommend it to anyone who wants to use their iPhone as a GPS unit in their car. Amzer Suction Cup Mount for Windshield, Dash or Console for iPhone 1G, 3G, 3G S (Black)

This is the first car mount I have purchased for my iPhone (I own an iPhone 3gs 32 GB). I'll keep this review short since my experience with these mounts is limited.

*Holds phone securely in place.

*It is easy to mount in different positions to match your preference.

*The bottom docking connector is still accessible when the phone is mounted. This makes it possible to connect an FM transmitter/charger while driving.

*Easy to mount on dashboard or windshield.

-The only downside is that it probably won't fit the iphone if there is some sort of protective casing.

While it is a little more expensive than other windshield mounts, I think the price is reasonable and is a quality product. I recommend this product.

Over the course of the past several years I have owned a few different suction mounts for my GPS devices. Recently I decided to upgrade to the iPhone in order to condense all the gadgets I carry with me at any given time: my mp3 player, gps, and laptop. Which the Iphone replaces all quite well.

Using the iphone as a GPS is an awesome feature but I needed a mount for the windshield of my car to be able to use it. Like I said before I have owned a number of different mounts that have disappointed me to different degrees. However, all the other mounts I have owned all suffered the same problem of loosing suction while in route. They all would fall to the dashboard with a loud thud that would quickly make me to worry whether or not my GPS would still work after what sound like a anvil landing on concrete. Also, it's just annoying to have to pull over and re-attach a suction mount to windshield. I am sure I must have looked odd licking my fingers to apply moisture to the suctions cup with hopes it would stick to the windshield just a little bit longer then the last time.

That is not the case with this suction mount. When you stick it to the windshield, it stays there and the best part is, you don't need to apply any moisture to aid in the vacuum seal between the mount and the windshield. I suppose it has something to do with the fact that the material the suction cup is made from is superior to the other models currently on the market.

Another great feature about this mount is the ability to switch from either Portrait (vertical) or Landscape (horizontal) view with great ease. All you have to do is loosen a nut on the back of the iPhone bracket and reposition the iPhone and then tighten the nut snug again.

And finally the iPhone bracket leaves plenty of room for you to plug in the car charger and auxiliary cable (if your car stereo is not blue-tooth capable) for you to use the iPod function on trips.

I highly recommend this mount for the iPhone 3g and 3gs owners. It is NOT for the iPhone 4. The only issue I have with this mount is that I have to remove my iPhone's case in order for the iPhone to fit the mounting clamps. But once I place my iPhone into the unit I do not have to worry about it falling off. - Iphone 3g - Iphone Car Mount - Car Mount - Dash Mount'

Pencil Sharpener

When I tried to sharpen my pencils using the one I got from Amazon, it left my pencils dull. It never did sharpen all the way to the tip, so I'm guessing something was out of alignment. I borrowed another sharpener, which worked great, so it's probably not just me.

It is what it looks like - very cheap. Pencil Grip The Classics Pencil Sharpener with Stainless Steel Blade (Single Wedge Shape), Assorted Colors (TPG-142)

I really needed a cheap pencil sharpener, and this one does the trick. At only 50 cents, I really couldn't beat the price. The size is perfect too (just big enough that it can hold a lot of shavings but not so big that it is too bulky to put in a small zipper pocket). And it hasn't jammed once, which is unusual for cheap little pencil sharpeners. All in all, a great product.'

Great Concept-frustra

Wow! this program works on the 'White Pangigital Novel'!

Just wished there was some way to 'store/buffer' one or two of the movies so when not near WiFi could still watch a movie to two!

OF two of the streams that I have watched, they seeme to of been cleaned up when compaired to the same video that I have purchased via DVD or iTunes. Movie Vault - Classic Films

Getting access to hundreds or possibly thousands (didn't count) of old, 'public domain' movies for about $2 can't be a bad thing if the app works and the app does work... kind of. I will provide a brief overview of what the Movie Vault offers followed by an enumeration of 'positives' and 'negatives' and my final rating.

OVERVIEW

The old movies (mostly from the 50's or older but I actually found 1976 flick) can be viewed by 'genre' - Comedy, Crime, Drama, Horror, War... and so on - or you may search for a specific title (good luck with that). For each movie you can see some IMDb metadata prior to running it - year, runtime, brief description, director, actors and IMDb's star rating. You have the ability to place the movies that interest you in a queue. Then... press the 'play' button and the movie plays.

POSITIVES

- Large number of otherwise hard to get old movies. It's a pretty good selection. It's possible that many of them can be found on Netflix but, off a sample of randomly picked 5 Movie Vault titles, only one existed on Netflix.

- On my XOOM (Android 3.2 Wi-Fi) tablet, movies load and play quickly.

- Picture quality meets expectations. Just don't expect HD or DVD-quality. Think of what a picture might have looked like on an onld '50s or '60s TV set.

NEGATIVES

- On my XOOM it does not switch from portrait to landscape when I rotate the tablet. It's set to always portrait when in the 'menu' mode and to always landscape when actually playing the movie.

- When viewing the available movies, all you see is the IMDb graphic thumbnail that has the movie title but often it's so blurry, you need to get into the 'details' to actually read title.

- IMDb's blurbs are truncated to 5 lines and it's impossible to get to the full movie descriptions.

- Search function will return anything from the IMDb's database that has that string. For example, searching for 'CARS' returned 'Fighting Stallion' because one of the the actors starring was named Robert CARSo.

- It does NOT work offline. Placing a movie in the queue does not actually download it and, with a Wi-Fi tablet, once you move outside Wi-Fi range the app crashes if already running or refuses to start.

- If you switch out of the movie, it does not remember where you left when you come back and it will restart from the beginning.

MY RATING

I am not at all unhappy with this app. In fact I expect to be using it often for the reasons I highlighted in the 'positives' section. However, the navigation and the movie viewing experience CAN be frustrating (see the 'negatives'). I will rate this app '3 stars' meaning "it's Okay" but I hope to improve my rating some day if and when the publisher upgrades it to address at least some of the little problems.

Overall, if you are into watching older movies and you don't mind the not so high picture and sound quality, this is a good buy.

The Three Stooges "Malice in the Palace" among other Stooges movies, "Mooch goes to Hollywood" starring a dog named Mooch - oh, and Vincent Price and Jim Backus, some East Side Kids, and, my favorite, "Rescue from Gilligan's Island," are here in the Comedy genre. With lots of catagories - musicals (like "Jack and the Beanstalk" starring, get this, Abbott and Costello! More traditional is "Road to Bali" starring Bing Crosby, Hope, and Lamour), sci-fi (like Flash Gordon or "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" starring John Barrymore),and westerns (including John Wayne and Roy Rogers), just to name a few, there is something for everyone. Granted, these are older movies and are not the Hi-Def some people are now used to, but they are still fun. Some movies are old black and white, and some are in color. These work well on my Samsung Charge. Well worth the $1.99 price.Four stars instead of five as it would have been nice if the movies were a little "cleaner" sound and video-wise. But they are still fun.

This software for 1.99 is a steal if you enjoy old movies .. even a few newer ones. Installation consisted of first updating the OS firmware of my Archos 70 internet tablet and then installing Movievault followed by a cold reboot. Its worked first time and everytime since initial install without a hitch. My only minor complaint; I often find myself backing out of a genre category with the OS systems return key only to find I've exited Movievault and find myself looking at my home screen. It's necessary to "press" the "genre" tab to return to main menu. Not a big deal but something I hope to see Flingsoft change in future updates. Buy it!

This app has some great classic films, but what makes it fabulous are all the old, cheesy horror films. If you love the old horror movies shown on Saturdays years ago by guys dressed up like Dracula, this is the app for you.'

Fire Hazard - iphone, iphone 3g charger

Does exactly what it's supposed to, which is charge an iPhone 3G S. No issues whatsoever with overheating of the A/C adapter so far. I leave the charger plugged in at my desk all the time and have had no problems. If you're after a functional, low cost iPhone charger, you're on the right track with this item. Wireless Technologies Charger for iPhone 1G, 3G, 3G S

I have the iPhone 3G and this charger works like a charm. It charges my iPhone fast, stays cool, and the iPhone stays cool too. The cord is about the same length as the one that comes with the iPhone(3 feet). I keep mine at work as I do not like to short charge my iPhone. For the price though it is a great deal. The 2 reviews that state it does not work are way off. Maybe they got a bad batch or maybe the 3GS does not work with this charger.

I bought this for the office because dragging the charger to and from work quickly became a hassle, especially when I made the mistake of leaving it there. Great value for the price, works like a charm, and I can get a quick recharge during the day if I forget to do it the night before.

Works Great with my Iphone 3G. Slim enough to let you use the 2nd or even the 3rd oultlet. It's Lightweight for traveling. It stays cool and I can use the phone for talking and internet while charging.

The cable is longer. I bought 4.

The items arrived super fast! and the prices were fabulous!!! I ordered 2. The first one worked for 3 days and the other didn't work at all. With the super low prices, it wasn't worth it for me to try and exchange.

I have ordered these before and they worked for a few months. This shipment just didn't.

I purchased this charger as an inexpensive replacement wall charger for my Iphone 3GS. I does work to charge the phone, however, I can't use the phone or any apps while it is plugged in. The touch screen either does not register or will open other apps that are not touched. As a charger this works fine, but I shouldn't have to unplug the phone in order to use it. I guess you get what you pay for.

I bought this charger so I would have a spare for while I am at work seeing how the IPhone batter life isn't the greatest. I paired this purchase with an Otter Defender Case for my IPhone. Unfortunately the design of this specific charger is not compatible with the IPhone when encased in the Otter Box. The housing that encases the end that attaches to your phone is extremely large compared to most other IPhone chargers I have come across. Being as large as it is makes it virtually impossible to use this specific charger when using the Otter Defender case. - Iphone - Defective - 3g Charger - Iphone 3g Charger'

Usb Extension Cable - usb hub, multi port hub

I jut bought this Connectland device a few days ago and I've also been using the Connectland CL-U2 Connectland CL-U2MNHUB-4B 4 Ports USB V2.0 Mini Hub (Black) for 6 months now.

This device:

+ Long cable (almost 32")

- No on/off switch for any port

CL-U2

- Short cable (only 5"); I recommend a USB 2.0 extension cable

+ On/off switch for each port

+ Had for 6 months now and still works well

The on/off switch may not be a deal breaker for some of you but if you have external HDDs hooked up to the ports, its easier just to flip the switches on the CL-U2 rather than to plug in/out the power cords on the HDDs. Connectland 4-ports USB v2.0 Hub

My computer has only one USB port up front. Therefore, this 4 way connector is just what I needed to attach my Flash Drives (2) and my USB cable used with my camera. it is just what I needed. I am completely satisfied with it.

Marty S

I purchased this because I bought a new monitor and it doesn't have any USB ports on it. For 6 bucks this USB adds the convenience of having a USB port on my desk. I have a desktop computer. If is going to be something that you keep on your desk... its perfect. However it does not feel that durable. The plastic box that holds the ports seems to thin to be kept in a laptop bag and frequently used. I was surprised when i pulled it out of the package and the wire was about 3 feet long.

The design of havng a USB Hub with a longer connection is a great idea. The device will be great if it is put together with better quality control. Two of the 4 ports on the device I purchased do not work. When I plug into the port, the connection is very loose and thus it will not work. Better QC is definitely needed.

Here are the problems:

1. Loose connections: I have to use tape to hold plugs in

2. Will not charge the iPad. CPU will sync with the iPad through the hub, but will not charge

3. having plugs on each side makes the whole unit very awkward to sit on a desk or to attach to something to keep it from dangling

In sum, poor design. It does not do what it is supposed to do. - Usb Hub - Multi Port Hub - Usb Extension Cable - 4 Port Usb Hub'

Unlocked Blackberry

HI All.

I have used a blackberry for over 10 years now...give or take. I have always been impressed by the devices they have created in the past and the current line of devices. Since I like to be on the bleeding edge of tech, I just had to get a 8900.

Most of you know by now what the new feature sets are of blackberries that are out today. The bold, the storm, and now this one The JAVELIN.

I wont go into too much detail but I will give you my quick run down.

The Javelin is perhaps the thinnest, lightest, small footprint blackberry that I have ever used. It sports a great look and the feel to the hands is awesome. It is after all the curve II. Screen comparison to the bold is that this unit has a higher resolution then the bold but a smaller physical screen. The higher resolution definitely adds some clarity to the screen...but it should be duly noted that the BOLD's screen is also beautiful. Yes I own both.

The Javelin is a EDGE/Wi-FI device...it does not have 3G capabilities. Technically you only need 3G if you want to be on the phone and receive/send emails at the same time when using your mobile connections...I personally have never needed that functionality. However, please note that if you are connected to WI-FI you are able to be on a telephone call and receive/send email etc over wi-fi....works perfectly.

The Javelin has a new processor which makes the device FLY. Yes the processor is slower then the one in the Bold, but one can hardly tell the difference....I have used both for weeks...and I can honestly say you will not notice the speed difference.

I have a 8gb MicroSD card installed in the device and use the software available from blackberry to synchronize all of my DRM free music from iTunes to the Blackberry. A must buy if you want to carry one device that does it all. Amazon has great prices on micro-sd cards.....

Here are what I consider to be the best features on the Javelin:

1. AUTOFOCUS 3.2mp Camera - It is AWESOME. Picture taking, due to focus, is a bit slower....however, the clarity and quality of the picture make it all worthwhile.

2. FOOTPRINT - Great looking device with a great size.

3. High Resolution screen - Awesome clarity....

4. The functionality of a blackberry has always been a pro..and this one makes it better with a faster processor and more zippy feel.

The three BAD things:

1. The speaker on this thing is so TINNY....that it hurts my ears with certain tones.....there is NO bass what so ever. That is to be expected in a device this small....so maybe some new tones need to be tested out.

2. Micro-USB - Why take something like mini-usb and replace it with something new. Now I have to get all new chargers, travel chargers, etc.... Upsetting but bareable.

3. The holster in the BOX is simply a pleather pouch of sorts...no belt clip etc... You will need to buy an aftermarket leather/plastic holster if you wish to attach to your belt. Not a deal breaker...but should be mentioned.

I am posting some images for your review also.

Overall this is a great 5 Star Device. BlackBerry Curve 8900 Javelin Unlocked Phone with 3.2 MP Camera, GPS Navigation, Stereo Bluetooth, and MicroSD Slot--International Version with No Warranty (Black)

I have now had a few days to check out the new T-Mobile Blackberry 8900. I will be comparing my most recent Blackberry, a T-Mobile 8800.

Good Points:

1. Nice screen; very good resolution; and good readability. Good for viewing attached documents.

2. Nice industrial design and small form factor.

3. Wifi (but it seems much slower than the Iphone or an old T-Mobile Dash I have around the house).

4. Pretty good camera. There is considerable shutter lag; but the photos are fair. Note that I cannot seem to be figure out how to turn off the annoying shutter sound. I tend to use a camera phone for reminders of a product or article that interested me. The shutter may be required by law in some locations; but I don't think it's required where I live.

5. Audible works a bit better. I am an Audible fan. (I also download audio books from Net Library, but they require a protected WMA format, which the 8900 does not support). I finally can downloads audio books directly to the device. There are still glitches, such as updating the My Library list, but it improved from essentially "non-functional" to "somewhat usable".

6. UMA--T-Mobile's voip option, worked quite well. Voice quality was so so (probably device limited) but setup was simple and it seems to work at various wifi sites without use of minutes or special hardware. I am excited to try this in Japan and on other international trips.

7. 3.5 mm headphone jack, started with the original Curve. Quite good sound though my headphones.

Not So Good Points:

1. Mediocre voice quality. My 8800 had exceptional voice quality. It was better than my Cisco Voip phone at work. The voice quality of the internal speaker for the 8900 is not nearly so good. I found myself continuously re-positioning the phone vis-a-vis my ear to try and hear better. This is a big problem; and makes me think about returning it rather than suffering through a year of poor voice calls. I have been with T-Mobile for seven years or so in the Chicago area (from right after Voicestream came to town). I find their service much better than AT&T and Verizon and rivaled only by Sprint (this may sound funny, but it is my experience). Anyway, this is probably the worst voice quality I have had on any of several Blackberry phones.

2. No 3G. May not mean so much for routine Blackberry functions, which are highly compressed, but for web browsing or downloads, lack of 3G is a big minus.

3. Annoying change from mini-usb to micro usb for device connections. I have several devices, such as M3P players and another phone that use mini-usb; now I need to have another cord just for the 8900 and buy some extra chargers and cords for when I travel. I note that the media-sync was much faster on the 8900 than my 8800. I don't know if this is because of better software, drivers or the micro usb (versus mini usb).

4. Annoying, audible phone dialing sound. In normal and other non-silent profiles, there is an annoying and very audible rapid dial sound that everyone around you can hear. My convoluted work around, found on line, is to use vibrate mode, and then have it ring. This is silly and annoying. It is representative of the settings limits for this phone that seriously detract from individual usability and customization.

5. The included case is a definite letdown. It is too small, leaving the top 1/2 inch of the device uncovered. It is too tight, making the phone tough to extract when answering a call, and there is not a belt clip.

6. Web browser--still bad. Bookmarks are a pain, locked in to useless T-Mobile sites, and browsing is not so good. I loaded Opera Mini but it doesn't seem to be well integrated. This may be the side effect of using an Iphone; by comparison the 8900 browser, even tough introduced more than a year after the Iphone, is so poor.

7. Reception seems to be worse than the 8800. It is difficult to compare exactly, but it seems that reception at home and work is a notch worse than my 8800. Not as bad as an Iphone, though, on AT&T.'

8 Gb Micro Sdhc Memory Card - sdhc, 8 gb micro sdhc memory card

I specifically ordered this memory card for my Blackberry Curve 8330 with two goals in mind.

1: Store videos and music on my phone

2: Expanded memory for applications and documents

On both counts I have not been let down! This card is wicked fast when it comes to file transfers via the Blackberry software. I had expected, indeed planned, for a bit of a "hit" when using the RIM software to expedite file transfers (play lists, music, and videos) but if there is one I am not seeing it.

The included adapter is a handy add on bonus as I do have quite a few microSD cards lying around and can now use those for other devices that accept SD cards.

Oh, and it IS a Class 6 card. Transcend 8 GB microSDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS8GUSDHC6E

I purchased this 8GB - Class 6, upgrading from an 8GB - Class 4, because I needed the faster read/write speeds on my cell phone.

After installing it, I immediately noticed a faster response in the data transfer speeds. My ringtones, music, and pictures loaded faster, even when receiving a call.

I recommend upgrading to the Class 6 to anyone wanting/needing fast transfer rates.

The data transfer rates of SD Cards are:

(Read Speed of a Standard CD-ROM = 150 kb/s)

Class 2 - (Equivalent to ~13x the read speed of a Standard CD-ROM) - 2 MB/s

Class 4 - (Equivalent to ~26x the read speed of a Standard CD-ROM) - 4 MB/s

Class 6 - (Equivalent to ~40x the read speed of a Standard CD-ROM) - 6 MB/s

So, as you can see, the Class 6 is approximately 50% faster than a Class 4.

My overall view of the Transcend MicroSD card is that the product itself is good; however, the adapter that comes with it is not HC compatible. I have contacted Transcend directly about this shortfall and they are replacing the adapters as we speak. I do not blame the vendor that sold the card as the package was sealed and it was not a pirated version of the product. There are many different products available through the Amazon website that are also not HC compatible but sold with high capacity markings. If I were to purchase more cards from Amazon.com I would ensure the vendor tested the functionality with HC cards before I ordered them or allowed them to be shipped to me. I suggest dealing direct wth the manufacturer for these VERY FAST MicroSD Cards as they are now available directly on their website.

I own 6 micro SDHC cards which I use to store a variety of images and files for access on a number of devices. I have 4 Transcend Micro SDHC 16gb cards which are clearly the fastest (data transfer, class 6) and most reliable cards that I have used.

I purchased this 8GB microSDHC Transcend card to replace my 4GB Sandisk microSDHC card. This card works exactly as expected. It's hard for me to comment on the speed of it, class 6. It definitely is class 6 so there shouldn't be any hesitation in purchasing due to a lack of confidence. I don't often transfer data on and off the card so I really didn't notice any speed benefits. Again, the speed benefits may exist but I haven't noticed it. I always thought that Sandisk was the best most reliable brand, but that may not be true. I've had issues with Sandisk cards but this Transcend has worked perfectly.

I had been looking for a cheap way to expand the memory on my G1 phone and I wanted the fastest micro SD card around and here it is - a Transcend 8g class 6 card. The 8gigs is plenty of room to hold my stuff and the price is at the inflection point on cost per gig for me (ie the 16g is too expensive for the speed and the 4gig isn't enough space).

I've been using this as my portable music player now for several weeks and all I can say is there hasn't been a hiccup. In fact, I think the card has also improved the speed of the camera (which is to say the camera is still horribly slow - but maybe just a tad less so on the writes). Additionally, I use the phone, mounted as a USB drive, to move files to and from work. In this, I've noticed that the transfers are much more snappy - always a good thing.

For 20$, this is a great way to expand the storage space on your G1, or on any phone, that sports a micro SD card - 8 Gb Micro Sdhc Memory Card - Micro Sd - Sdhc - 8gb'

Auxiliary Cord - audio cables, iphone

This is a nice cable to connect your Iphone/ smartphone or mp3 player to any AUX in port.

I use this to connect my Iphone to my car and it works great.

PROS:

1. 4 feet long with braided cable. The braided cable means less tangling and feels sturdy with less change of fraying the cord.

2. Will fit an Iphone with a case. As in the picture, there is a smaller diameter rubber head on one end which is perfect for plastic cases. Other cables I bought would only work once I took the case off.

3. No static or hissing. This has been a problem with other cables I have.

Cons:

None, really.

Bottom line:

Well made cable with braided cord which means less tangling and more durability.

Thoughtful design means you can use it even with any case you may have on your phone or mp3 player.

Would highly recommend! Kensington Car Audio AUX Cable for iPhone/iPod

O.K. so here's my experience. First off, I am not electronically inclined. I purchased an IPOD Touch and wanted to be able to use it in my truck with the AUX cable hook-up. I asked my tech savvy friend what kind of cable I should get. He told me not to pay more than a dollar for one because he could find me a cable for mere cents on EBAY. Of course I jumped at this opportunity.

The cable arrived to me in about 5-6 weeks(I'm not exaggerating). The reason for that I came to find out was that it was shipped in a plastic bag from China. O.K, that's fine. When i went to first use it, it worked fine. About two days later, it started malfunctioning to the point that I just ripped the cable out the jack and threw it out the window (into a trash can of course).

I then attempted to order another cable of the same price from China again. I thought I just had originally gotten a bad cable. The same problems arose with this new cable and he soon joined his buddy in the neighborhood trash can. Finally, I said enough is enough. I found this cable on amazon and it had received good reviews. So i forked out the $8 for it and am so happy I did. The sound quality between this cable and the ones from China is night and day. There's no static at all. I highly recommend this product. Don't be cheap like I was. Just fork over the very reasonable $8 and you won't have to go through all the trouble I did just to get quality sound from your IPOD. TRUST ME!!!

I bought this a few months ago after my old AUX cable was worn out.

My old AUX lasted for about 2 good years, until the plastic near the inputs tore, which exposed the copper wires and eventually snapped.

I bought this product because it looked like it had a sturdy design, with reinforced plastic around the input jacks and fabric coating around the wires.

It appears as if this AUX cable would withstand long usage and outlast my previous cable.

But I was wrong, this cable will only last you about 6 months.

I am at the 6 month mark and I have begun experiencing problems with this cable.

Because of this design, the cable itself is much heavier than must cables and the fabric lining causes the cable to maintain a certain shape (think of a bent clothes line hanger).

The extra weight and the fixed shape causes the cooper wiring to break or snap very easily.

As of now, sometimes only the left or the right speaker receives audio and also creates a raspy noise.

I have to move the wire around until the full audio is received by my car speakers.

I plan on getting a new AUX, just not this one.

I am happy with the product...but it sure would be nice if the manufacturer would color the vehicle end with a stripe or touch of color. If you put the slightly smaller end of the cord in the vehicle it will create static and a poor sound quality. The vehicle end of the cord is slightly bigger...but the same color...so you need to pay attention when plugging it in. I guess the consumer can paint the end...but the manufacturer should do this before selling in my opinion :)

I bought this cable for my Iphone 4 in a Speck candyshell case. The case hole does not allow much room for plugs to the audio jack. This cable works perfect. The smaller plug housing on one end allows the the plug to fit within the constraints of the Speck case I have.

OLD REVIEW: Most of the time, I can barely hear anything after connecting my iPhone 4 to my car stereo via this cable, unless I crank my volume all the way up. Also, 9 out of 10 times, there are problems with the stereo and I only hear music from one side of the car. To be fair, this is probably a problem with the iPhone 4 and not with this cable. But if you are a new iPhone 4 owner, this cable will not work well for listening to your music via the car stereo.

UPDATE: I find that this cable works great when I reverse the ends such that the bigger end is connected to my iPhone. But for this to be possible, I need to take the iPhone case off. The sound quality is perfect with no problems whatsoever. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the cable does not work with the smaller end connected to my iPhone, allowing me to keep the case on the iPhone while it is connected to the car stereo via this cable. Maybe this is an issue with the particular cable that I have and not with the iPhone, as I originally assumed. - Ipod Accessories - Iphone - Audio Cables - Automotive'

Nail Bite Solution - nail biting, nail biting solutions

My mom used this on me when I was a kid. I was a thumb sucker. I learned pretty quickly that if I endured the burn for 10 seconds or so, I could then have my thumb the rest of the night as usual. My sweet, clean, comforting thumb.

I eventually gave up my thumb sucking... when I was 12! A bad summer cold helped me kick it. This didn't.

Fast forward 25 years or so... I tried this on my son, to break his finger sucking. He's 6. He's doing it in school. It's time to give it up. I didn't want him to go as long as I did. I hoped either they made this better or he wouldn't figure it didn't last... oh well. He came home the first day and said, "That stuff only works the first time."

Total waste of money.

We have recently learned of Mavala and holy cow is THAT stuff nasty - and long lasting. I'm hanging my hopes on it. Thum is for the birds. Thum Thumb Sucking Nail Biting Treatment .2 fl oz (6 ml)

My daughter's 5 and still sucks her thumbs. A lot! Was told about Mavala Stop and searched my local drug stores to find some. Could not find Mavala Stop, but I did find Thum and decided to give it a go. It may as well have been Kool-Aid on my daughter's thumbs cos it didn't stop her at all. As a matter of fact, I think she sucked her thumbs even more once the Kool-Aid...erm, I mean, Thum was applied! I ended up ordering the Mavala Stop. I hope to have better luck with that than I did with Thum.

After reading all the negative reviews of this product, I was very skeptical if this would work for my 4 years old daughter. But our pharmacy had only Thum, since it's just $3 I gave it a try. It worked for my daughter right away, she stopped put her finger in the mouth on the first day, not even trying to do it again afterward. - Nail Biting - Nail Bite Solution - Nail Biting Solutions - Finger Sucking'

Home Workout - home workout, free weights

If you're looking for some lightweight, fixed dumbbells, these should work just fine. The neoprene handles make them comfortable to grip- as opposed to those that are bare metal (some of those metal ones with "hatch marks" on the grip are downright painful). Also, these dumbbells won't be falling apart anytime soon. The worst that will happen to them over the long run, is that the covering will start to wear down- however you'll still be able to use them for your exercises despite that. In other words, a pair of these are going to last you awhile. One tip though, when they do start to wear down, most of the time its on an edge. Therefore, always placing them on a soft a surface as possible will be easier on the neoprene and make the covering last longer. Metal dumbbell racks can take their toll that way.

The only downside to buying dumbbells such as these is that the weight is set. In other words, for any given exercise, you'll only be able to get "5 pounds strong". For example, if you can lift a 5-pound dumbbell 10 times, and you continue to lift it 10 times, week after week, you'll never get any stronger. That's because the human body is efficient, and your muscles say, "If I can already lift 5-pounds, and that's all they ever want me to lift, then I don't have any reason to get bigger or stronger so I'm going to stay just the way I am."

Therefore, if you can use a 5-pound dumbbell quite easily with your exercises, and you want to get stronger, you're going to have to add a pound or two. And then, you're going to have to go out and buy another dumbbell, say a 6 or 7 pound one, in order to progress and get stronger. And that was my point- fixed dumbbells are set, so a disadvantage is that if you want to continue to get stronger you'll have to go out and buy more dumbbells. Tip: if you think you're going to need more weight in the furture, look into buying a pair of ADJUSTABLE dumbbells instead. Just a thought.

All-in-all a good product, and I highly recommend them if you're in the market for a pair of fixed dumbbells, especially good if you're doing rehab exercises, like for your rotator cuff. People with tendonitis might also be interested in Treat Your Own Tennis Elbow. Valeo HW5 5-Pound Neoprene Hand Weights

I like the color and size of these weights, and of course they seem to be pretty accurate in weight, but they are really uncomfortable to hold! It is not a smooth surface that you'll be holding onto - there is a large seam line on the weights, and you can see what looks like screws poking out.

I use these a lot. 3lbs doesn't sound like a lot of weight but trust me it is. I wanted to buy the 5lb ones but my husband convinced me otherwise. Good thing he did. Of course if you are use to weight lifting these may be too light.

These weights have a nice feel to them (more comfortable than vinyl, for the same price), but like the above reviewer said, they only work if you use them. 5-lb weights are very suitable for beginners to purchase. It may be heavy at first, but as you get stronger, 3-lbs will get too light. 5-lbs will also get the toning done, without bulking you up.

I bought these so that I could use them during my power-walking. I really love them, they are just the right weight to walk with and still gives you the burn of a weight-lifting session. They have a great no-slip grip.

These weights were exactly what I was expecting - 3 pounds and purple. :-) I was concerned by other reviewers' comments that they might be uncomfortable and have things "poking out," but mine don't have any problems like that. There is a seam, naturally, but it doesn't hurt my hands at all. I bought these to replace some 2 lb weights that had foam lining that my dog chewed off. She can't chew the neoprene off these!

One small con keeping me from giving it 5 stars: I found them cheaper at Target. As an Amazon Prime shopper, it almost never works out that I find something cheaper in town since Amazon usually has great prices and I get free shipping, but Target had a selection of weights that were a couple of dollars cheaper and seemed just as good.

I bought these weights to help me with my veins. I have really deep veins and it's very hard when I have to do test for the nurses to find a vein. Someone recommended to me to get some weights and work my arms a few times a week and it would help with my veins. I think these weights are perfect for what I do. There not to heavy and they get the job done. I've been told by the nurses that my veins seem to be improving. I love the neoprene one them, it really helps to grip when I'm working out. I also like that fact that there's a little knot on each side of the weight so if you place them down they won't continue rolling. I love these weighs and would recommend them to anyone who has trouble with there veins or just want a little something to workout with. - Dumbbells - Free Weights - Home Workout - Weights'

Rechargeable Flashlights - rechargeable flashlights, royobi

I bought many Ryobi flashlight and drill kits at Home Depot only to find out the first time I dropped the flashlight that they don't carry the bulbs! Wow, I was flustered!
