Abu Garcia Revo Winch

Received the Winch one fishing trip ago. Used on fresh water lake for bass.

First impression was that though like the STX and the top of the line Premier, all of which have the same 11 bearings, the Winch was more free running.

They all share the same centrifigal braking system to avoid back lashes, but the STX and Premier also have magnetic brakes for use when throwing into a cross or head wind. Even with the magnetic set to Zero, it may be that there is still an influence on the freedom of the spool.

The Winch also has the longer handle, like the Skeet Reese model, and some of the salt water reels.....it hauls line beautifully with no fatigue.

Super product at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended. Abu Garcia Revo Fishing Reel (WNCH, 12/175)

I bought this reel at Bass Pro Shops. I also have a ABU Revo S ($130). The Winch is a better-built reel than the S.. it's smoother and more solid feeling; it has more bearings too. I also fish Shimano Curado reels and they too are a very good reel and I think the REVO line is comparable and offer more options (price-wise). I also wrote an original review, but have since revised it after use and wear. This is a very good reel.

This is a very well-built reel - solid and smooth. I love the action and smoothness of it. However, I do have a few quibbles before I can sing the remaining praises.. First of all, this reel is not the sexiest reel in the REVO line-up (it has too many different colors and finishes - doesn't look good by itself; but is doesn't look too bad on a rod). The "Winch" logo looks like it came from an 80's airbrush artist. Also, there is lack of a side adjustable brake unless you remove the side-plate; just a preference for me - It has the internal pin-style adjustment (which is easy to use, but old-school to me). So, for my $200, I want a side-adjustable reel (without having to remove the side-plate - so, a magnetic design should be employed instead of the centrifugal one on the the current Winch). Recently, I had trouble casting this reel due to lubrication issues (or lack thereof).. The spool/gear actually/somehow came out of cog, because of my lack of lubing it up; and it wouldn't barely cast 30 feet.. So, I took the spool out and followed the spec lube instructions in the manual. Like any other reel, the Winch needs a regular lube job (with high grade reel oil - not W-D 40 or spray style lubes). After oiling all parts/spool and lubing the worm gears, this reel casts a mile. The screw to remove the side-plate is deceiving, in that it seems like it's part of the construct of the reel; rather than being an actual release. However, this is not the case; the screw is a spring-release for the side plate (and it's on the opposite side). This is actually a good back-up design, which would keep you from losing the side-plate in the lake, if you improperly re-attach it. Lastly, the gear ratio at 5.4.1 is a slower ratio compared to many modern bait casters, and the paddle handle is pretty large; both of these things make it feel kinda funny when your trying to reel a fish in and your spinning the large handle so fast.. It just takes some time to adjust to and get used to it. This reel is great for long casting, and deep cranking applications - so it shines for large deep-divers - you'll be much less tired using the Winch for this application. Additionally, it has a TON of power to horse in fish from long distances where lots of line is out. This is an excellent slower presentation reel, and after use and proper maintenance, I've really come to love the Abu Garcia Winch.

Overall, and as stated before, this is a very well-built, and a very smooth reel. It has versatile capabilities, and it's slower 5:4:1 gear-ratio will have it's place in your arsenal. Perhaps, winter bass fishing with jerkbaits, or slow rolling spinner bait in the early spring; or slow working, or swimming a jig in the heat of summer in the depths; or working a large swimbait post-spawn; or deep cranking. These are some of the slower strategies I use and the Winch The REVO line of reels offer the S, Winch, SX, and TORO series. Each offer more bearings than the Shimano Curado series reels. And, more bearings generally mean a smoother, longer casting reel. I've heard the Shimano use the finest bearings in the world, so perhaps more may not mean better/best. Anyway, as for the REVO's, I think these are game competitors (perhaps better than Shimano). The Winch, has 24 pounds of brake (nearly 2x that of a Curado or most other reels out there), so you can really turn that up if your using a 12 pound mono for your application. If using braid, then you can back off the drag (as to not tear the hood straight through the fishes mouth. Just a preference for me, but the colors need to be updated on this reel - can't go wrong with silver or black. Some tournament guys (who fish in a hurry) may not prefer this reel for flipping or pitching. So, I would go with the REVO SX in a higher gear ratio (7:1:1) for flipping and pitching applications. The higher gear ratio will enable you to burn the lure back if no fish are next to that stump or hole in the grass. The Winch will surely get the bait back to you, but wouldn't be as efficient and take more of your time to get the lure through neutral water coming back to the boat. This is subjective, but I would gladly use this in very heavy cover, or with braid in flipping/pitching apps. This ugly duckling is really a beautiful swan and a professional quality reel!'

Dry Erase Board - dry erase boards, whiteboard

The product is as advertised. It's a basic 11x14 dry erase board. It includes magnetic and double-sided tape mounting options, which is nice since it's a pain to get something that isn't mountable out-of-the-box. The included dry erase marker is a fine-tip, and will probably need to be replaced quickly with regular use. There is no board eraser included. My only complaint is that the marker leaves dark traces after erasing, so you'll need to clean the board often. This size is good for quick notes and lists for placement in smaller areas like narrow walls and refrigerators. Board Dudes 11 x 14-Inch Metalix Magnetic Dry Erase Board, Colors May Vary (45000UA-4)

You can see the quality as soon as you pull the dry erase board out of the box. We ordered ours more than two months ago and it continues to work perfectly. Our board is mounted on the refrigerator door and we use it for shopping lists, errands and to-do lists.

We can go a couple weeks between cleanings. Like all dry erase boards, eventually you will need to clean the surface to remove ghost lines.

The product is a great value for the price. We are thinking about buying a couple more before Christmas for our sons' room.

In summary, excellent quality and price; what more can you ask for in a dry erase board? Rating: Five stars.

Great size for kids working on math problems.

Save LOTS of paper.

Can be easily taken to anywhere (even school).

After I bought them for my kids, and they take it to school, the teachers have asked every student to get one too. Everyone saves paper.

Great for students.

I have this board on the outside of my door at school, and I love it! It's a good size, seems sturdy, and it gets the job done just fine. I was not a huge fan of the mounting materials provided, though. I ended up buying some 3M command strips and using those instead, which worked perfectly but it wasn't ideal. I had hoped the mounting materials provided would be adequate but for sticking to the outside of a dorm door, not so much.

Doubts I had & the answers for it:

Quality of magnet - Pretty good

Quality of board - Good

Quality of marker - Not bad

Quality of silver metal - Fancy (not useful for me)

How the board is been used personally:

--------------------------------------

- Keep track of the vegetables, fruits bought and the order to use them

- Keep track of left over dishes

- Keep track of coupons and their expiration date

- Keep track of groceries/essential items to be bought

- Keep track of bills to be paid

Fits perfectly on fridge. Marker works great, magnets small but useable.

Previous reviewers stated it didn't fit right and that you should put foam pieces between board and magnets.......it came with the foam pieces!!!!!

All in all, just what I was looking for!

Our 2 boards are warped and don't lay flat, so when they are on the fridge if we put pressure on a corner that isn't laying flat against the fridge the whole board flies off the fridge and falls the the floor. Very annoying. - Magnetic Dry Erase Board - Whiteboard - Dry Erase Boards - Dry Erase Board'

Brad Paisley

Well, I have to agree with this song title- this IS country music.

Brad Paisley has done what no other person has done in country music. He has avoided the love-song plague, and has wrote thought-provoking, creative, and comical lyrics in a failing genre. This song is nothing different of his previous work. I like the beginning line "you can't say cancer in a song". I think I know why he says that. But, the one thing I don't like about this song is how he says song titles of familiar songs such as, "He Stopped Loving Her Today", "A Country Boy Can Survive", et cetera. Feels like it's been done already by other people. Other than that flaw, this song is a masterpiece, and perfectly exemplifies why I think Brad is the best country musician ever.

Halloween Party

The negative reviews I've read so far are trashing the book because it wasn't what they expected it to be: a nostalgic, easy-reading book that tickled the toes and the spine while the reader sips hot cider. The book doesn't present itself as such and is clearly an academic and scholarly survey of the holiday, from its origins, through its break into popular North American culture, to contemporary practices. If you're not looking for that kind of treatment, don't read this book. But don't slam it because it didn't do what you wanted it to do. (If you don't get the connection between this paragraph and the title, look up "straw man argument.")

I found the book to be a slim, well-written text that still manages to cover a wide range of topics and provide tons of interesting facts and figures. Rogers' main thesis is that Halloween, a holiday that continually reinvents itself, continues to provide "a space for transgression and parody," even as it is appropriated to fit the social and political needs of the culture. Rogers explores this thesis by examining the origins of Halloween, its history in Britain and North America, its similarities to Mexico's "Day of the Dead," urban legends and popular reactions to the holiday, its representation in Hollywood, and current trends in its celebration. He ends with a few guesses and questions about the holiday's future. A thorough analysis without getting bogged down in any one aspect. Halloween: From Pagan Ritual to Party Night

Single-subject histories on the likes of salt, codfish and even the color red have become a fashionable lately, and this book is a fine specimen of the genre. It traces the history of the celebration of October 31 from Samhain, the year cycle rite observed by the pagan Celts in Britain, to the many ways it is marked in North America at the time of the new millennium. His central thesis, supported by myriad examples and illustrations, is that Halloween has always been a liminal time, a boundary between autumn and winter, this world and the other world, life and death. Drawing from the theory of anthropologist Victor Turner, he argues that liminal times are also periods of ritual inversion in which the obverse of cultural values, however they are construed, are temporarily allowed to emerge into public consciousness and celebrated before being relegated once again to the cultural closet. Whether these oppositional symbols are spiritual otherworlds, as they were for the ancient Celts, or consist instead of what is disavowed by the dominant cultural paradigm, Halloween provides a framework during which they can be publicly explored and performed. This central feature of Halloween, more than any individual rite or symbol, constitutes the core of the holiday that has endured for over a thousand years. From Celtic Samhain to globalized celebration of consumer culture, Halloween seems to attract to it the oppositional and the carnivalesque. No wonder, then, that is has become a popular target for the invectives of conservative Christian ministers and their congregations, who label it "Satanic" and call for its suppression. But the suppression of culturally contested symbols never successfully eliminates the ideas behind them. In fact, as Turner and French cultural historian Michel Foucault argue, these oppositional images are fertile ground for cultural renewal, and provide alternative ways of envisioning reality: they are cultural countersites where social mores and pretensions can be mocked, parodied, and lampooned with impunity, and an alternative universe can temporarily be imagined.

This excellent book will appeal to a wide range of readers. It reads fluidly and easily, is theoretically well-informed without being jargon-ridden or using theory as a bludgeon, and could easily be adopted for use in large undergraduate courses on cultural history, folkloristics and anthropology.

First let me say that this book is like a history book on the history of halloween. If you are looking for a quick halloween story or costume and party information, then this book is not for you. This book deals with the actual history of this wonderful holiday, where it came from and how it adapted to what it is now.I found this book to be a great source of information on the history of my favorite holiday.I would recommend this book to anyone who wants an in depth read of the history of Halloween.

As other reviews suggest, this is not a ghost story or for those with short attention spans. Dr. Rogers is a professor of history, and he has produced a correspondingly scholarly book of history, including names, dates, argumentation, and references to his source materials. When I found the book, I was mainly interested in the early history of Halloween, and the first part of the book delivers it. And it's an important contribution, contrasting with pop-histories that paste later Christian traditions on to early Celtic celebrations, and basically dismiss a thousand years of Christian development as something like "And then they tried to Christianize it because those darned pagans wouldn't go away". Halloween evolved as the cultures celebrating it evolved, and you can't understand its celebration today through a single slice of time in history.

I was tempted to give it four stars instead of five because I thought the author put too much space into Halloween movies, and not enough into the early American development. But he was bringing us up through its modern celebration in the US and Canada, and movies are an important source and reflection of the culture, so I suppose that serves his intent.

You shouldn't try to learn any subject from a single book. Excellent companion books are "The Pagan Mysteries of Halloween" by Markale, for its early history, and "Halloween: An American Holiday, An American Tradition" by Bannatyne for its American development, if you ignore her pre-American history of it (for reasons which are explained comprehensively in Ronald Hutton's "Triumph of the Moon").'

Belts

This belt is well made and looks like it will last for many years so I'm happy with my purchase.

As per the "sizing instructions" link, I ordered this belt one size larger than my waist size and I wish I hadn't. I'm wearing my new belt on the last notch so if it stretches with age, I'll need to cut another hole. I'm guessing that Carhartt belts are generously sized to accommodate cold weather clothing.

EDIT: July 9, 2010 As predicted, the belt has stretched so I've made a new notch. Otherwise, I'm still happy with the quality of the product. Carhartt Men's Journeyman Belt- B/T,Black,48

Well made mens belt ideal for outdoors or mens casual dress. heavy duty like you expect from carhart. The leather is not stiff and dry nor is it too soft and not durable. The quality of perfectly tanned leather and excellent craftsmanship is apparent.

Never really go wrong with the quality and craftsmanship of a Carhartt product. This is a real nice made belt, you can change the buckle too if you wish. You just have to buy another buckle. I buy nothing but Carhartt now, great for work and everyday bumming around. Bought my last belt at that K mart store and what a piece of junk compared to this belt. You work hard and deserve better, go buy yourself a nice belt that you will have for years. I like to buy a bigger size belt and use a leather hole punch to make more holes. I got a size bigger that I'm supposed to go, but thats just me. I'm a 44 waist but I order a size 48 belt. This belt for me would have been just fine at 46. But I like my belts a little bigger.

I ordered another Carhartt belt, got to wait to receive it. Very happy with my purchase.

I have bought and used dozens of belts over the years but never seen on delaminate which is what my Carhartt belt is doing after less than 6 months of use. There is a laminated layer on the leather and it is chipping off on both the top and the lower edges of the belt. It reminds me of the cheap shiny belts with a layer of plastic that over time.

I have tanned leather belts that I bought decades ago while in college and they are still intact. It seems harder and harder to get good quality goods and not have corners cut to make short term gains at the expense of customers. Very disappointing considering that Carthartt is supposed to be making clothing for job use which should be more durable than most and instead it is cheap c**p.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the belt. It is a full grain (twice as thick and durable) tanned leather belt. It is a full 1-1/4" wide and perfect for jeans. Buckle has a slight double bend that helps the leather belt slide through - a very nice design touch.

It is a "chocolate" brown and not a tan or red-brown like so many of the "brown" belts being sold. The sizes are accurate and Carhartt provides enough length that a 34" belt will fit with a couple holes to spare for use with heavier pants or to leave room for future growth.

Highly recommended.

I didn't have any surprises with this purchase. The belt is of the quailty you'd expect with the Carhatt name. It is tough and well made. I have tried other makers belts and have found them made of thinner and stiffer leather AND their sizing was WAY off (4 sizes smaller). Carhatt might be a bit more expensive, but trust me, you won't be sorry.

I've owned a couple of these belts over the years and the quality has remained the same. They are well built and last, even with me putting knife cases, meter cases and drill hangers on them. I will continue to buy them.'

Abu Garcia Ambassadeur - abu garcia, abu garcia ambassadeur

I had my reservations about this reel at first based upon the fact that it is manufactured in China. After scouring the internet I decided to chance it and ordered the reel. It looks and feels great. I could not see a noticeable difference in fit and finish from my abu 6500 which is of Swedish origin. The brake system is awesome for casting and the reel is smooth in the retrieve. So far it has performed flawlessly and has landed 5 channel cats between 5 and 12 pounds. My only complaint is no flatheads yet, but that is not the reels fault. Multifunction Oscillating Tool

tool sent with all attachments except that the "head" of the tool could not hold any of them.......there were no "sprockets" on the head to hold the tools.....as a result the tool was useless - sent it back - went to harbor freight and bought one on sale..... NEW! 3-in-1 Multifunction Power Tool with Variable Speed - Sand, Cut, Scrape

I bought the tool for a difficult remodeling project and it performed very well for the first 5 operating hours.

Then it became unreliable by not operating all the way through a cut.

It would switch off and then restart after a few minutes of "rest".

For someone looking for a long life durable machine, look somewhere else.

It's a great example for buying good quality first so you don't have to buy again.

The 90 day warranty should have been the tipoff.

And the warranty applies at their sole discretion.

Stay away!

Yes it is a nameless copy of a tool. having said that it does work. You have to tighten the blade holder as well as the blade from time to time. I cut up some boards around my heater while changing floors. It did the job.'

Small Flash Drive - sandisk, cruzer

It's quite small, but really slow.

On sequential write, the speed slowly goes up from 55k/s to 4.8M/s over the course of 1GB.

On small files, the write speed is even worse, it stays below 3M/s all the time.

This is incredibly slow for a modern usb stick.

Read is fine at about 20 M/s. SanDisk Cruzer Blade 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive

I had a SanDisk Cruzer Gator, SanDisk SDCZP-8192-A11BL 8GB Cruzer Gator (Black), which may have been the smallest SanDisk Flash Drive at the time. Unfortunately it only lasted 2 out of the 3 years of law school. I am careful but things (including my young boys) happen and even after some super-glue, the Cruzer Gator was no match for things (including my young boys). It now only works if I tweak it to one side and hold it there. It turns off the second I let go of it. Enter the SanDisk Blade. It has 16gb, is cheaper than my 8gb Gator, and is very sturdy. Unlike the Blade, the Gator's connector could move independent of its outer sleeve right out of the box. The connector on the Gator passed through a plastic sleeve and had a metal jacket around it. The connector on the Blade, on the other hand, integrates into the outer sleeve. As you can see in the picture the connector flows right into the sleeve making the Blade much stronger than the Gator. Overall, I am impressed with the size, capacity/price ratio, and sturdy design of the SanDisk Blade, and highly recommend it.

I just wanted to quickly say that this device has a cool design. It appears to be two very solid pieces of plastic, lacking the typical metal part that you'd insert into the USB port. As a result, it's very light. I like the colors. I do wish that it had some kind of LED light indicator, but not a big deal.

I DO recommend to people who use this to reformat it prior to use. I tried to use this in my car, and it was unrecognized, despite being FAT32. I reformatted the entire disk to FAT32, and then it worked without a problem.

Be warned that this device is so small and light, that you definitely run the risk of losing it in your bag or pockets. I highly recommend attaching something to the lanyard slot.

I purchased this drive because I wanted something small enough to fit on my key chain and carry around with me every day.

I have been very disappointed. Write speeds are terrible compared to my other drives (including other small drives), takes nearly 10 minutes to load a 1 GB file (issue was experienced across multiple PCs and Macs, so not a limitation of the computer I was using).

On top of the slowness, the key chain hole broke after less than a month.

Not impressed, only reason to consider this is if you want something very small, and even then it would be better to keep looking.

I've had mine for years now, not purchased through Amazon but I thought I'd give my two bits here after reading some of the reviews (please read my other reviews on some other flash drives to get somewhat of an idea if you're curious).

Here's, boiled down to a very generic level, what you really need in one of these things;

Store and transfer your stuff

Remain dependable

ANY of these drives could stop working at the drop of a hat, that's just the world we live in. Buyer beware on absolutely everything, all the time. Maybe in the 50's it was different, but we ain't in the 50's no more.

So bottom line here, this drive is small, tough and slow. I have done nothing but use this thing almost every day for music and movies at home and in cars. I have not babied it in anyway and it rattles around in my front pocket with change and whatever else might be in there. It's been dropped God knows how many times, through the wash a few times and left out in the sun to dry off after finding it in my shorts getting out of a pool. I think I've just explained my experiences about its toughness and durability.

It has no problem playing HD movies or FLAC files in real time, so say what you will about how slow download times are, and they are, but it's never had a problem keeping up reading those files. EVER.

So if you can find something to do while your info is loading on to the drive, maybe read and finish a Stephen King novel, re-enact the Civil War or build a mini Vatican City out of popsicle sticks, then hopefully you'll have the same luck I have with this thing. There really isn't a smaller device (HP v165w, but that thing heats up big time and HAS trouble with HD movies) for the capacity and the price. Seriously.

This is a very small flash drive:

1 5/8 inches long x 11/16 inches wide x 5/16 inches high

This small size allows these drives to be placed side by side, even when the USB ports are very close together. The small size also means that it is just that much easier to lose (or be stolen). At the back of it there is a hole that will allow you to connect it to a string or a strap.

A big drawback for me is the absence of an LED. Without this LED, you will not be sure when it is active, You will get no direct feedback from this Flash drive.

The manufacturer has deliberately omitted the read and write speeds of this drive. That is because they know that it can be a slow poke at times.

In making your purchasing decision, these are the key issues:

- Price (not the cheapest)

- Size (the smallest, but no LED)

- Speed (pretty slow)

I bought this because it was an excellent value for the storage space. And I thought the size was sort of a cool, low profile. But that proved to be a problem when I gave it to somebody, they put it in their shirt pocket and it was so low profile they forgot it was there. A couple of days later they realized they had lost it and couldn't find it anywhere. Here's the part that makes me give it 4-stars instead of 3. They put it through the washer and dryer before they found it and it still works. I've been using it for months since then with no problems in the functionality or construction. - Cruzer - Usb Flash Drive - Flash Drive - Sandisk'

Textbook Holder - textbook holder

I don't recommend this product at all. I took it out of the box and a bunch of screws fell out along with the stand. I didn't think assembly was necessary at first, but then I realized the item was just broken. The plastic stand that screws onto the wood piece had been stripped. Trying to put it back together was useless. It instantly falls apart with any adjustment.

I would suggest taking your money elsewhere. CaseCrown Dual Adjustable Multimedia Multi-Purpose Wood Stand (iPad/eBook/Kindle/Nook/Sony/Music)

Got for my Kindle DX and hardcover books. Paid $30. Shipping took about 2 weeks (3rd party seller). The tilt of the stand works well, but there's no mechanism to keep it elevated off the stand or change the angle that you're reading at. You can wedge a book between the wooden part and the black plastic base if you want to change the angle or elevate the book/Kindle. That's my only complaint. I'm using that feature a lot, so it's annoying. I think this is more a $15 or $20 product. I did not get it to be portable and don't think it would fold down compactly enough to work. Also, it's not the sturdiest piece of construction so treat it nicely. I expect the black plastic base to break first as it has no support. We'll see how long it lasts--that will determine if I purchase another one.

After using a few stands, this is by far the best stand at a great price. I've used the plastic cheap stands and $50 wooden stands, and this is by far the best.

Pros:

-Price (is just as nice if not better than higher priced $40+)

-Adjustable

-Page holders (you can use them or not)

-Quality (can hold my huge textbooks, or regular paperback novels)

Cons:

Honestly none. This is a great little book holder.

I spend a lot of time at the dining room table studying from giant floppy soft-covered nursing textbooks. Those ultra portable wire stands were useless, so I gave this a shot despite some of the bad reviews. Let me just say that I don't know what they are talking about. This stand has saved my neck and made studying so much easier. No, it's not solid wood, more like an MDF type material, but unless you plan on using it in some kind of contact sport, I can't see it being particularly flimsy. The angles you can adjust the books to is almost infinite, and the metal page holders do a great job. Worth every penny if you ask me. Also, as far as its compatibility with a Kindle is concerned, I can't imagine it being a problem. There is no gap between the little ledge and the backing, so I can't see it falling through.

So I bought this for a friend who will be teaching math and music. I figured she would need a good solid stand for music, and anything else, like a book, that she might need while speaking to the class. I wanted to get her a good one, because of the economy. I was slightly dissappointed that it wasn't wood, or solid wood, but overall, it is made well, and will last her for a long time.

My wife and I both read at the kitchen table. She is a voracious reader and I am a seminary student working on a Masters of Divinity. I am often reading large textbooks and often supplemental papers that I have printed from the web. This bookstand handles both equally well. It has a wide enough base lip that I have often had two books on the stand at the same time that I switch between and it handles them both well. The spring arms are very effective for holding the pages in place no matter what the size of the material I am reading. I had purchased a bookstand for my wife many years ago to hold her paperbacks which is the primary type of book she reads. It is a metal stand that has held up well for many years. I was jealous.

I had a wire stand that sells on this website for $17. It is a folding stand that has 3 sections held together with plastic tubing. The plastic tubing began breaking up after about a year and I had to tape it together. Eventually I gave up on it and bought the Case Crown stand. I love its versatility and multiple adjustments. I imagine this will be a stand I will be using for many years to come.

My husband often reads at our breakfast bar. This has been the best purchase for that purpose. It's sturdy, adjustable and made of good quality materials. I highly recommend it. Good for recipe books when I'm cooking too. - Textbook Holder'

Cell Phone Clip - cell phone clip, krusell

I purchased this product because I was concerned that the default multidapt link that came with the case I ordered would be too bulky (as another reviewer had indicated). It turned out that the default was fine, so I haven't used the Mini-clip much. It is fine for what it is worth: a small yet fairly tight-gripping clip. However, I do not think I would want to use it for vigorous activity such as running, because I'm not sure its grip would be tight enough. The tighter-gripping, steel clip from Krusell, or the Krusell arm strap might be more appropriate for that. Krusell Multidapt Case Mini Clip (Black) - Cell Phone Clip - Krusell - Multidapt'

Iowa Hawkeyes

The flag didn't get off to the greatest of starts considering I received it the week of the Iowa State game. Not a good way to start it's career. However, the Hawks have rebounded for two wins since then.On a serious note, it's a much sleeker looking flag than the image shows. Feels to be durable material and the 3' x 5' size is perfect. It's large enough to put it way up the pole and still look like it belongs. It's very surprising when you hold it just how big it is.The silver lettering is a nice touch along the bottom and top borders. It's a subtle addition, but it really gives the flag a finishing touch. Ryobi 12 Volt - ryobi 12 volt, battery charger

The product arrived exactly as described, we plugged it in and it charged our drill's battery. However, we have since noticed that it has stopped working. It is supposed to have a red light that lights when the battery is inserted (this lets you know that it is working). The light went out, and we soon realized that it was no longer charging. My original Ryobi charger went south, but I love the drill. An easy fix is as follows. I unplugged the charger and removed the bottom cover then attached my car battery charger (12V) to the charger terminals underneath the Ryobi charger (check power cord wires for +/- location). Put the Ryobi battery back in the charger unit and trickle charge the battery that way. Remember to not use the Ryobi power cord, the car battery charger is supplying the juice.

I had the original charger which is no longer manufactured for over 4 years. After it died, this model was substituted and I had two replacements both die the same way (being left on overnight). Now I have to use a manual timer which shuts power off after 3 hours.

Weird....Ryobi was nice but said that's just the way it is...

I read the reviews after I had bought this product. Since my charger had just went out, I was happy to find that Amazon carried it. I immediately ordered it and then decided to scan the reviews. I could not believe how negative the reviews were for this item.

Well when I received it, I plugged it in, placed in a battery, the red charging light went on, and then the light went off. The charger was BROKE. It lasted almost two seconds!

I contacted Ryobi. They sent me to a local warranty repair shop in town. I took the charger and waited 1.5 weeks to get my charger back. I returned to the shop to pick up the charger. I had carried my batteries with me this time. The shop checked out my batteries and said they were good. I plugged the battery into the newly fixed charger. Well guess what? The Charger lasted 5 minutes before the red charging light went out again.

Long story short, I decided I would read the Amazon reviews BEFORE buying for now on. I have since replaced my Ryobi drill with a DeWalt (twice as expensive) and could not be happier.

This product failed after one charge of my batteries!. I'm not sure who is in charge of their quality control but I would have thought it would have lasted longer than 1 charge. This also reflects upon Amazon since it is their name that has been tarnished. - Poor Design - Ryobi 12 Volt - Tools - Battery Charger'
