Dog Saddle Bag - dog back pack, dog hiking
I gave this only 4 stars for the simple reason, the sizing is a little off. I use it on a Staffie Bull Terrier (smallest of the pit bull breeds, 40lbs) and its a little large on her. But with that said, the bags stays in place while she walks 3 to 4 miles daily with 2-8oz bottles of water. She actually gets worn out, and if anyone owns any type of terrier breed you know these dogs go on forever. In addition, she loves to pull and comes from a long line of AKC registered award winning "weight pullers". Imagine how suprised I was to find NO MORE PULLING. She proudly walks right beside me with what seems like a purpose!
I love these bags, and this one has done the trick. I just ordered another one for my American Pit Bull Terrier, hopefully it will do wonders on her too :) Kurgo 00028 Wander Pack Dog Backpack
I bought this backpack to put on my dog when we go for long walks in the city. She has a lot of energy and I was hoping that adding a little weight would tire her out more than just walking alone.
I was a little disappointed in the size of the saddlebags - they barely fit two standard sized bottles of water. When I tried to zip each side, it was really tough and the zipper kind of bent. I haven't attempted to re-zip the bags after taking the water out; I'm afraid it'll break.
If you're looking for something that will merely hold treats or food, this could be for good use. If you want it to hold anything bigger, buy something else.
This is a great product it is very durable and adjustable. It fits my friends Black and Tan Coon Hound and my own Blue Heeler. I love it for walking my Blue Heeler. With out the backpack it seems like he could walk all day and never get tired, now when we go for our 3 mile walk everyday (with the backpack on) he finally seems tired at night. I strongly recommend this dog pack for any active dog, giving them a job and some weigth really helps to calm them down and help them focus. This product is also very well made. I had bought another dogpack from Petco and after the first few wears the seems were already ripping. Not this one I've used it probably 5 days a week for the past month and had one standard sized water bottle in each pocket and it is still like new.
My dog (a year and a half foxhound/labrador mix that I adopted a month ago) has developed severe separation anxiety, and according to Cesar Milan one of the solutions is to give him more exercise before I leave in the morning. Since a two hour walk before the hour of seven seemed a little excessive, I began looking for other answers to this dilemma.
The suggestion of a doggie backpack with filled water bottles or other weighted material (not too much, but enough to make the dog work harder) was presented to me. I loved the idea of giving my dog the workout he deserves without completely tiring myself out before a day at work to do it, and also the idea of him being able to carry his own water, food, toys, and treats on long hikes and camping trips once the summer months roll around. Therefore I began scouring Amazon for quality packs that weren't too overpriced. I was shocked to see some dog packs that cost more than the backpack I carried in college, but this one seemed to be of quality construction and was affordable to boot (and eligible for Amazon Prime shipping, which is a major bonus).
I am pleased to tell you that this product was everything I was hoping for and more. The straps are fully adjustable, so I got the perfect fit for my dog after only a couple of adjustments. You can even adjust where the saddlebags fall on the dog's flanks, so the pack can fit a wide range of dogs. The materials are also very high quality and I can tell that this was designed to be an item that gets ample use throughout its lifetime. I managed to squeeze two 32 oz Nalgene bottles, filled with water for weight, into the saddle bags, and I can't believe the change in my dog. He is calmer and more submissive, and his separation anxiety is already decreased.
Bottom line: if you are looking for a quality pack for your medium to large sized dog, BUY THIS ONE! The price is right and the quality is great!
The zipper on the side pouches is a bit difficult to access and open, and the straps are very difficult to loosen/tighten. It was quite a process to fit it on my dog perfectly.
Once you get that over with though, it's great. It seems comfortable, and it's been a really good way to walk my extremely energetic dog to make him tired.
I recommend it, but would still browse around for other options as well.
I really like these saddlebags! My dog does too! We try to run every day to keep in shape, and it's nice to have him carry things. He loves carrying my phone, the water, and the car keys! The bags stay out of his way while he's running, and don't seem to slow him down any. It took him only 10 minutes to get used to having the bags at his sides, but before I knew it, he was running like his usual self. I think the way the bags are designed make him less likely to pull also. I really like having the hook on the back of the harness too because it keeps the leash away from his legs so it doesn't get tangled. The bags themselves are relatively large. They fit a bottle of water on each side, along with my phone, and keys like I said. I wouldn't put much more in there because I wouldn't want to put too much weight in them and hurt my dog. I have an australian cattle dog. He has a huge barrel chest and this fit him so If you're worried about fit, I wouldn't. The straps extend to much more than necessary for my dog. Not only does this give your dog a job when you're out and about, it makes it easier to carry more water along. My dog really liked that we could stop halfway through our run to take a little break and get a drink. Hope this helps!
Bought this backpack for a very active Vizsla but, unfortunately, the fit does not work for our dog. He has a deep chest and, although the backpack is for dogs 35-85lbs., we could not make it work for our 60-65lb. dog. The neck yoke was a bit too tight and the straps could not be adjusted to make it sit comfortably on the dog. Pity, as the sacks are the right size for our purposes and it looks like it is well made. We will return it. - Dog Saddle Bag - Dog Hiking - Dog Back Pack - Dog Packs'

Accessories - kindle 3 covers, accessories
I purchased this case and I was worried that it might not meet my needs because of the rather low price. I had been searching for a Kindle case for my Kindle 3 since I purchased it. I did not want to pay a big price for a case, when that money could be put towards buying books for my Kindle.
This case meet my needs and more. It is made of quality materials it is heavy enough to stand up to the wear of opening and closing mutilple times and is lightweight and small enough to fit in most places. The design change that was made (there were some problems with the case in an earlier version where the bottom row of buttons were covered) has been corrected.
The added benefit of the extra accessories makes this a great purchase for the price, the only piece missing is a booklight and that would have made the package complete for me. But, believe me I am not complaining when I received all of these things for the price that I paid.
My recommendation is don't spend alot of money for a case for your Kindle that all it offers is a pretty design that will be dirty in a very short period of time. Or purchase each item separate that you will need to make your Kindle compatible with travel. Get this set and smile all the way to the Kindle store and purchase a couple of books with the money that you saved!!!!!! CrazyOnDigital Kindle 3G 3rd Generation Accessory Kit. Bonus wristband inlcuded
Ok, I seriously cannot believe that this is selling for under $13!! I'd been looking for a good cover for my kindle 3, but I REFUSED to pay the price of the Amazon one's! I almost gave up until I ran into this one. The case is awesome, the Kindle 3 fits inside PERFECTLY and very securely. It also has a nice feel to it, and the closure is magnetized so you know it won't come undone when thrown in a book bag or purse. And the accessories that come with it are just an added bonus! Trust me, if you buy it you won't be disappointed.
This set of accessories is Great and for very little money! The case is well made and is just what I thought I'd have to pay $30+ dollars for alone. The cords and screen protector are very nice extras since I'm always misplacing my original cord. Like others have written, I can't believe this is only $13 plus shipping! You won't go wrong here and will be very happy with the case and cords!
decent quality, the cover fits nicely, but the problem is the color from black leather rub off, so if you have a white kindle like mine, the lower corners behind 2 strap will be stained gray, also have a black stain above the right side page turing key, that's from the the thicker part of the front pocket.
didn't try chargers, so don't know if they work or not.
I bought this mainly because I was looking for a Car Charger for my Kindle 3. But when I found this great deal I went ahead and bought it. It cost $12.99 at the time (Oct 4th). The items arrive today this morning. And I'm really happy with the Leather Book Cover. It fits very well and the bottom straps doesn't cover the Shift and Back keys. Also it makes my Kindle 3 much lighter to hold as compared to the Hot Pink Kindle Lighted Book Cover I had. I love it. I tried shaking it to test how strongly it helds your K3 and it passed. It holds it very securely. For $13 bucks this Accessory Kit is a steal! :D
The only thing I don't like is that the car charger it comes with is not the same look as the picture they put on their ads. And it has the sticker that says for Kindle 2/DX, I have yet to try it out if it work on my K3 I'll update this when I get around it.
The screen protector is quite shiny and I haven't put it on my K3 bec I'm afraid of the glare will be a lot.
UPADTE: 10-10-10
The Car Charger works for K3 even if it does have a sticker For K2/DX device. But it warms up pretty quick though.
I really just wanted a screen protector and case for my new Kindle 3, but the price for the whole accessory package was better than any other half-way decent case I could find. What an excellent buy this package is! The case itself is well-made, sturdy, real leather with a nice feel. It folds backwards nice as can be so I can hold my Kindle easily with one hand, and it doesn't add a lot of weight. The magnetic clasp is really sturdy and does not get in the way when reading. The interior is lined in something almost velvety to protect the device, and there is a place where one can tuck a note card, plane ticket etc.
Into that pocket I have tucked the nice little microfiber screen dusting cloth that came with the screen protector. The protector itself went on as expected. I am glad to have back-up adaptors to plug the Kindle into a wall or computer USB port to charge it, and the car charger is just the cherry on the sundae of good stuff.
Busy little package full of stuff which is why I ordered it, however most not very useful and/or of low quality.
Very nice, albeit simple, Kindle cover...this the only thing I am actually using. Kindle screen protectors extremely hard to apply; ear buds of low quality; a/c charger not necessary as Kindle already comes with one; car adaptor and usb connector may be useful to some though doubtful I'll ever use them. Overall, if I knew then what I know now I would not have ordered this product.
Like many others out there, I had a hard time justifying the high expense of Amazon (and other) branded covers. I had my K3 for awhile before finding an affordable case with good ratings. Took my chances on this one, and I was not disappointed. It lacks frills, but otherwise looks & feels great and my K3 fits inside nicely. The fit is comfortably tight with no worries that it will slip out, and I have full access to all of the switches & ports. Those looking for a budget case will definitely be very happy with this one.
As for all the extras, the quality pales in comparison with what ships with the Kindle itself, but they work fine for backups. It was worth the extra few dollars getting these to have on hand to keep in my bag for when I'm traveling. - Book Cover - Kindle 3 Covers - Kindle 3 - Accessories'

Siding Nailers - porter-cable, bostitch
I work with this gun in South Florida and it is the best gun I have ever used. The specs say this gun holds 2" to 3 1/4" nails, but it also shoots 1 1/2" case hard nails into concrete like a real pro. 2 1/4" case hard nails also work very well. Down here we have all concrete block exterior walls and do quite a lot of furring to attach drywall to. This is the best of about five different makes I have used over the past 20 + years. AAAAA++++ rating. Hitachi NV83A Full Head Construction Coil Nailer
I have been heavily using Hitachi NV 83A nailer for 6 years and I never had any problems with it, except for one time when I dropped it three stories down on solid concrete and the only thing I had to replace was the nail magazine cover. I recently purchased a twin and I will newer buy another brand. As professional framer, I definetely reccomend it against other brands that I had a chance to use.
i work with the nv83a for 4 years.with little maintainace it works well, without any problems. We use it for roofing and framing. My crew loves the Hitachi and we shot more than 2 millions of nails. The next one will be a Hitachi again.
I borrowed a friend's Hitachi NV83A,15 minutes later I purchased a new one. I need a nail gun that was powerfull enough to attach P.T.2"x4" to concrete block, and also be a general frame nailer. The Hitachi, (using 3"hardened nails),doubles as a concrete nailer. Very dependable, bulletproof nail gun. Downside: Heavier and larger than other nailers, and Hitachi doesn't make a plastic or steel carrying case for this gun.
for working overhead, or on staging or framing on the jobsite, it's a bit more awkward than a similar stick nailer. Changing nail sizes is a tedious little business, can't be done easily while up on a ladder, for instance, with different coils and different magazine settings while a few clips of stick nails fit easily and quickly in the nail bags. Coils are easily bent or bumped on a busy job, which makes them quite difficult to fit into the nailer. Get the stick version instead.
I have had this gun for over 10 years and love it. It's never let me down. I have never had to tear it apart to fix it. I oil it like it says. Clean out where the nails get fed once and a while. I use it for framing and sheathing. It's a little heavy but it's nice to not have to keep putting sticks of nails into a gun. The coils hold hundreds of nails.
Hitachi is the BEST out there, Max is also good but I have found that I can't go wrong with hitachi.
Buy this one, and you won't be disappointed. I don't like the looks or feel of the brand new version.
I purchased this gun about a year and a half ago. I have waited to give my opinion for some time due to the fact that I use this gun constantly, and wanted to see how this gun would preform over an extended period of time before making a recommendation. This gun has never, ever, let me down. I am in construction and the Hitachi NV83A is my best friend. Sure the gun would periodically jam here and there, open the front loader and remove the nail, end of story. This thing is so durable and honest that it is a pleasure to pick up.If you are contemplating buying a framing gun... I strongly recommend the Hitachi NV83A. - Porter-cable - Nailer - Nail Gun - Bostitch'

Sharpie Accent Highlighter
I began using this style of highlighter approximately 12 years ago. The main reason is that I was working at a job where I had gone back through the archives to find that every highlighted work was missing from text documents. I understood this to have happened because the "cheap" highlighters absorb into the paper fibers and eventually press out the ink. The Sharpie Accent Liquid pen allows for the actual color to lay over top of the ink (toner) on the page so 10+ years from now whatever was highlighted will still be there. I am not an expert on highlighters and have absolutely no affiliations with Sharpie. My experience is strictly that of an Accountant. Sharpie Accent Liquid Pen-Style Highlighters, 12 Fluorescent Yellow Highlighter(24425)
I'm one of those people who, when they find something they like, hopes that the manufacturer never changes it. This is one of those items.
The color is bold but doesn't bleed through the paper. I use mine to highlight and take notes in my Bible, so even though the paper is thinner, it doesn't show up when you flip the page.
I want to start my review by stating that these are the only highlighters I currently use, because they are the best ones available. I rate them more harshly because the shortcomings are easy to take care of, and Sharpie should have taken care of them by now. I've been using these highlighters for a little over a year now.
Pros:
The highlighters are very bright, which makes things you highlight really pop out (isn't this the point of a highlighter). They glide smoothly over paper, and the highlighter isn't very thick. The felt tip is angled, making it easier to highlight. You can also highlight with just the tip for small text, or the entire tip for larger text. They are available in multiple colors, and you can buy multi-color packs.
Cons:
1) Price, but you can argue that they are high-quality highlighters. This is true, but Sharpie is very sneaky about hiding the amount of ink you actually get per highlighter. There is a clear tube to let you see how much ink you have left. But more than half this tube is black and non-see through. This is so Sharpie can fill less than half the highlighter with ink, and you can't tell. That's why the price is such an issue, because you are getting only about 40% of the ink you should be getting. It is a really underhanded way to hide the amount of ink, and this is why they lose one star.
2) Another star is lost due to poor ink control. This doesn't apply to the yellow, but to all the other colors. When you highlight something, I would expect an even coating of ink. All the colors but yellow actually leave a big glob of ink at the end of a highlight. It looks terrible, and there is no reason for it to be like this. If this isn't an issue with the yellow, why is it an issue with all the other colors? It also wastes the small amount of ink you are given in the first place, so you have to replace the other colors more often. I think it just releases too much ink. This may be the reason for con #4.
3) I didn't dock a star for this next one, but it is a nuisance. Yellow and orange are fine, but green and pink are too dark. It can be a little difficult to see the text with these colors. I wish Sharpie made them just a little paler. The blue color is ridiculously dark, and almost unusable. I would avoid it unless you need a fifth color. It needs to be much paler (I hope you're listening Sharpie). I haven't tried the purple yet, and I have no intention to. I can only assume it will have the same issue of leaving a huge glob of ink at the end, and being too dark.
4) Sharpie also advertises that they are smear resistant, which is not true. You have to let the ink dry (slower than a lot of other highlighters). If you highlight something you wrote in pen, you will have to wait a while. I use quick drying pens as I write a lot and can't risk them smearing. They dry very quickly and I can't smear them with my finger. But the highlighter will still smear the writing unless I wait a few minutes first. I suggest you wait a while as well. Besides smearing the ink, the highlighter will also pick up the pen's ink.
If you are crazy about highlighting, and need something that sticks out and is easy to use, I recommend the yellow. It is the only highlighter I use, and recently ordered another box of 12. Though with the small amount of ink, you will be replacing them often. The orange is a maybe (the globs can be very annoying). The pink and green only if you really need them (globs + fairly dark). Avoid the blue one altogether (globs + very dark).
I don't do a lot of highlighting. I use them for marking professional publications and personal books. It is true that the ink does not leak through the page. That's the only good think about this product. What you can't tell by looking at them is that each highlighter has only a very small amount of ink - just as much as you can see in the clear part of the barrel. The last one I used lasted less than a week! Unless you have money to throw away, I don't recommend this product.
I love these! I don't know if they last longer or shorter than regular highlighters and don't care. I'm just happy they don't bleed through to the other side of the page. Very bright and easy to control how much space you want the highlighter to cover.'
