Speaker Systems - home theater speaker systems, speakers
I am happy with this speaker set because, in my view, I got a lot of value for what I paid. I wouldn't call myself an Onkyo fan when it comes to entertainment devices - Sony receiver, Sony PS3, Sony BD player, Samsung TV - but I am aware of Onkyo's reputation for quality and this set of speakers doesn't disappoint.
All prospective buyers should be aware that these are 6 Ohm (SIX OHM) speakers. They will work well with 6 Ohm receivers, of course, and you SHOULD be able to use them with an 8 Ohm receiver if it's kept in a well-ventilated shelf and you don't keep it continuously at full blast. My own receiver is 8 Ohm and it seems to be Okay but both Onkyo and the receiver maker may not want to honor the warranty if they get word of this.
CONTENTS
What you get is good quality, 130W speakers encased in well-built wood boxes, a 290W powered woofer and then, there are a couple of unexpected bonuses.
- 1 Center speaker, surprisingly large
- 2 Front speakers on 'tower' stands (tallboy) - will save you money on speaker stands but if you're thinking about hanging them, this is not your set.
- 4 Satellite speakers - do have hanging holes
- 1 Woofer - powered, connects through 'banana' jacks on both ends
- Color-coded wires for each speaker - kind of thin and I used my own, see below but... they're free
- Onkyo UP-A1 Dock for the iPod - this was totally unexpected
SETUP
A screwdriver will be needed to attach the heavy metal base to the front, floor-standing speakers.
If you go with the color-coded wires, connecting everything is easy. I decided that I wanted thicker, copper speaker wire so I went with ACOUSTIC RESEARCH AP-16100W 100' White 16 Gauge Oxygen-Free Speaker Wire and I'm happy I did that. The 100 ft. spool was about 25 ft. short of what I needed so, until I get another 25 ft., one of my satellite speakers will be using the Onkyo-supplied wire so I'm happy they included these.
The center and satellite speakers have mounting holes in the back but not on the base. I like my center speaker to sit on top of the TV and that was accomplished with about 1 ft. of Velcro 2"-wide tape. I used Velcro on the 4 stands as well as, in my view, it preserves the speaker's integrity and it even offers some cushioning.
I do not own an iPod or an Onkyo receiver so the iPod Dock I am trying to sell at Amazon. Hopefully, there will be a buyer and that should help reduce the overall cost of this set.
THE EXPERIENCE
I only have good things to say about this set. For what I paid, it fully meets my expectation. The sound is full, crisp and if there are any distortions my ear is not trained or sensitive enough to detect them.
Physically, the boxes look professionally built and designed, uncompromising black matte with the sides of the center, the top of the front speakers and the woofer's front a perfect shiny polish - don't touch them or the fingerprints could be seen from a distance. The tall front pair is stable even on my carpeted floor.
RATING
This set deserves its 5 stars well for delivering good quality, well-built speakers and the couple of extras - wires, iPod dock. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a 7.1 set of 6 Ohm speakers. Onkyo SKS-HT870 Home Theater Speaker System
I had been looking for a reasonably priced 7.1 system, this one has been perfect. The speakers are unobtrusive, and reasonably sized, and the sound quality is great for a sub-$400 system. I wasn't aware when I purchased the set that it also includes the Onkyo UP-1A iPod adapter, while I have no idea why it is included it was a nice bonus, however I suspect that the $90 optional adapter increased the price, and it only works with Onkyo receivers (I have a Sony), for Onkyo Receiver owners this could save an extra purchase. I put mine up for sale on Amazon marketplace. The sub is more than adequate for the 14x14 room that I have my TV in, and the surround effect is spot on. All in all, I'm quite pleased with the quality of construction and the quality of the sound. The included speaker wire is good in a pinch, but I opted for thicker Monster speaker wire, I don't know enough about wire to tell if it made a difference, but I thought it was nice that the wire was included...
Very solid system, i have it hooked up to a denon 1910 and works great, right now my whole set up includes a samsung ln52b750, xbox360,ps3 and a samsung bd-p3600 and it all works great together!! movies are great and so are the video games!! speakers are alot louder than expected.... also the speakers were easy to hang on my walls, they all have a single keyhole. Also the system came with its own speaker cables!! if your just getting into the whole home theather game like i am!! try these out!! they are worth the price!! very solid system
This is tough. Lets do the good.
Sounds awesome! Looks good, easy to setup. For the money I really dare to find competition. Playing video with DTS Audio is amazing with my onkyo receiver and this speaker package. Comes with color coded wire but is a little low in gauge if you ask me. All in all, the Product is really sharp, well designed, attractive but neutral and not overkill.
To the bad. As stated in another review Onkyo states in the manual shipped with mine there is an I-Pod dock included and was also described here on amazon as included. I tore the cardboard and foam apart looking for it and thought I must be the unlucky guy. No the case. For whatever reason they stopped shipping with the dock. Onkyo made no mention of this, and denies it even ever came with one!! The support and response I got was appalling. I was treated like an idiot and as if I was wasting their time. I along with other Amazon customers have proof of false advertising and hope to get this resolved.
Bottom Line. Product=Great Company=Awful
I will NEVER buy another Onkyo product in my life. The only saving grace you might have is if you buy from Amazon you can always rely on Amazon to correct or make of for Onkyo's blatant short comings. They simply do not care about you the customer, and whats more is they seem to make that very clear to you. I am honestly offended by there practices. Good luck. - Home Theater - Speakers - Home Theater Speaker Systems - Home Theater System'

Doorknobs
I really liked this set of locks. Put one on front and one on my back door. They use the same key which means one less on my key ring. Good mdse look nice and quality good too. Was easy to install as well. Master Lock BAO0103T Keyed Entry Door Knob, Polished Brass, 2-Pack
These have to be the best matching door locks with identical keys that I have found for my master bedroom and master bath. The installation was easy and the keys are identical since they are packaged as a two pack. I used to have expensive arced handle door knobs, but they were rather flimsy and wore down rather quickly from every day use.
I do recommend Master Lock for interior door locks. This product is rugged and easy to use.'

Children Crafts And School
Bought this for my wife's kindergarteners (their school just so happens to be 30/1) and it worked out really well. None of the tubes were dried out and they seemed to wear well. The kids used the glue for traditional projects and everyone said it held up very well. If you're thinking about it for yourself - don't hesitate, and in this economy consider donating a box to your local school. Elmers All Purpose SCHOOL GLUE STICK 7 grams 30pk (E556)
I bought a box of these for my high school students to use on a class project. They were gluing ads from magazines onto construction paper and poster boards (variety of types). Once dry, things would pop off. The magazine paper wasn't staying glued to the construction paper or the poster boards. Different types of paper products were used with the same results. I cannot recommend these based on my experience with them.'

Metal-cutting Saws
It works well or better than trying a cut a peice of square tubing straight with a angle grinder. I bought this machine because I am a hobby metal worker. I used it to so far to cut up to 5/8" bar at an angle and 3/4" bar at 90 degrees and the heaviest tubing I have cut with it would be 1.5"X3.0" with 3/16" wall. For the retanglar tubing, it would start out a bit slow because of the flat top surface, but once you get it down in the thinner cross section, it will really start cutting.
The only thing that I would complain about is the slow starts and some blade deflection because when you start, you have to push down pretty hard to get the cut started pushing the blade off a bit. There was some blade deflection on the 45 degree angle I cut on the 5/8" rod, but when I welded the part together, I just adjusted it to compensate.
I payed [...] bucks for this chop saw. I know it is a Dewalt, so it should last and Amazon had the best price on this machine that I could find. 200 dollars. Most other places wanted between 215 to 225 for the same product, plus I had to pay for shipping from the other suppliers.
I have yet to trip the breaker while using it either. When using the Milwaukee that was in my high school welding class last year, it had a tendency to trip the breaker, especially when it was being used hard.
Over all I would buy this machine, weather your a hobbiest or a welder/ fabricator. This could have a place in your operation. I chose this over JET's small bandsaw, which was about $400. Plus the bandsaw took up some floor space, which is at a premium in my garage, while this chop saw I just set on the shelf in the corner. DEWALT D28715 14-Inch Chop Saw with Quick-Change
This is an outstanding heavy duty chop saw. I use it daily and appreciate all its features, like the quick change keyless blade change system, and the tool-free adjustable fence. The quick-lock vice improves my productivity by allowing me to fast clamp stock. The lock-down pin allows me to fold down the blade casing and easily move the saw around the shop. This tool works all day without overheating. It is truly a heavy duty metal saw.
my wife baught this as a gift for me, at X-mass --thinking it was a chop saw for wood (she is not a carpenter type) SAW is for BRICKS and PIPE presentation in your site is not well presented i returned item and paid a fee of $30.00 plus ( forget exact cost ) and was told it was my fault HELLOOOO!! oh well
i called amazon on this by "telcon: and the man said ="oh i see the problem we will have it changed" NOT as i expected he was just blowing me away this on a rare instance of not beingh happy with amazon's service dr klopp maine don'

Screen Protection - screen protection, accessories
The screen protector is slightly too large for a Blackberry storm. Worse yet, there are two tabs that are attached to the protector. The first removes a piece of plastic to expose the static surface, and the second says remove after application to the device. That tab would not come off!!! Even after I scrapped at it and tried a damp cloth to release the glue. It left paper stuck to the screen! Spend a few bucks more and get one made for the Storm that doesn't have paper glued to it. High Quality Screen Protector Guard for BlackBerry Storm 9500 9530
Pros:
Easy to apply. No bubbles or sticky rsidue
Colors and sharpness are preserved thanks to the glossy finish
Touch screen functionality is preserved
Only $2:50 delivered in just 4 days
Cons:
Protector is about 7 mm too long
Only one was supplied - certainly not the advertized three!! would have been nice to have at least 2 in case installation failed
Shows smudges just like the original screen due to glossy finish. Not a bad trade off for the enhanced sharpness
Bottom line: works better than most matt protectors i have seen that really dull the look of the screen. for $2:50 you can't go wrong
2 big problems.
1. The order page clearly says there are 3 covers in the package. There was only 1.
2. The sticker did not come off easily. This left a residue of glue and paper on the screen cover, rendering it useless.
I recommend ordering from someone else.
This screen protector is crap. It's much thicker than the screen protectors that are available at the local Verizon Wireless outlet. With this screen protector applied to the Blackberry Storm, the display becomes somewhat occluded because of the thickness of the protector and there is a lot of glare rendering characters on the display difficult to see clearly. The original protectors are far superior to this aftermarket junk. I wouldn't pay 2 cents for the entire inventory of the company that makes these aftermarket duds.
The screen protector fit perfectly and was easy to put on. My only complaint and it is a very small one is that the screen is not as slick as it was when nothing was on it. I would get this screen protector again.

Ipad Accessory - notebook computer bags, ipad bag
I purchased this bag for my Asus 1002HA netbook. I looked at several other bags including the neoprene cases popular on Amazon and elsewhere. This bag fit my needs best - an all purpose netbook bag that can be used for business travel and storage.
The bag is well designed and the construction quality is superb. Padding is fine throughout and it features a divided sleeve compartment for the netbook and external DVD or hard drive, as well as a spacious front pocket area for a few accessories. There are also a couple of zippered pockets for flat items. Unlike many of the neoprene cases, which tend to be very tight, my netbook fits inside the Citygear bag perfectly. The computer is easily accessed, slides in an out without fear of scratching, but is also held securely.
The bag is very compact and lightweight. It's hard to complain about space in a bag designed for a netbook, but I wish it provided a little more room for the power brick and cord. I can get it in the front pocket, but it fills it up. Adding an external DVD drive for travel presents a bit of a problem. You can do it, but the bag really feels overfilled at that point, and I would fear something might get crushed. With all this gear, throwing in a couple of other things like an ipod and camera is out of the question.
Bottom line: I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. It's as good as it gets for its size and I would buy it again, even with the space constrictions. If you frequently travel with external drives or lots of accessories you might want to consider something larger. But for traveling with just the netbook, mouse, and power supply, this bag is outstanding. Targus CityGear Netbook Case for up to 10.2 Inch Netbooks- Black and Grey TSM097US
I bought my Samsung NC10-14GB 10.2-Inch Blue Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life with a neoprene sleeve (also a Targus) to protect it. I felt initially that I could keep it in my backpack which has a padded section for a laptop. This worked quite well for a few days, then I began to worry that my rather heavy nursing books might put too much pressure on the Netbook. I looked at and bought this case for several reasons:
- It fits the NC10 VERY well - even the sleeve had a bit of wiggle room, but the fit with this case is snug, but not too binding.
- The case feels like its quality - the handle and shoulder strap feel durable and able to put up with some abuse. THe bag is also nicely padded.
- The case, unlike the sleeve, has compartments for the AC power brick, cable, USB Flash drives, and miscellaneous papers. I can also put my Logitech V220 Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks (Scarlet Red) in the mesh pouch nicely.
- It looks nice - It's dark gray and black with some yellow highlights. Very tasteful, and works well on a casual as well as a professional level.
I may play with this case for a bit to see if I like carrying it with my backpack to and from school. One thing I DISLIKE about the case is that the shoulder strap is not removable. I would prefer to carry it like a suitcase while wearing my backpack. The strap gets in the way in tight quarters, but in some situations, you can hang it on a chair back to keep it out of the way.
Overall - high quality and very functional messenger bag for my Samsung netbook. Not perfect for everyone, but it does a lot right. Recommended.
I had been looking for a small messenger bag that could fit both my iPad and the wireless Apple bluetooth keyboard for a while now. Everything I had seen previously was too small to fit both (even with the iPad with no case), or was just too big or way too wide. I had been eying this bag for a while, and decided to give it a try. It's perfect! It is a well constructed, attractive bag. It is definitely big enough for the iPad AND the Apple wireless bluetooth keyboard, even with my iPad in a leather folio case. There's even enough extra space for accessories, without the bag feeling like its become cumbersome or "bulky".
Overall, I would highly recommend this case to anyone looking for a great messenger bag for their iPad.
This is a perfect bag w/shoulder strap for my iPad and a number of iPad accessories, which I will list.
I can fit my (1st generation) iPad into the Targus case while my iPad is in a Simplism Silicone Case Set for iPad. I can fit it when it's in a PRIMA Car Seat Mountable and Flip Stand Lux Case for the Apple iPad. And I can fit my iPad into the Targus case when my iPad is in the aluminum Joby Gorillamobile Ori for iPad. And when my iPad is in either of these three cases and/or sleeves (the Simplism is more of a sleeve), sliding it into the rear inner section of the Targus case is easy.
When my iPad is in any of the cases/sleeves just mentioned, I can also fit my Apple Wireless Keyboard in the Targus case. And I can even fit the keyboard into the Targus case (when there's also an iPad in a case/sleeve in the Targus) when the keyboard is in a WaterField Designs/SF Bags "Keyboard Socket," which is made specifically for the Apple bluetooth keyboard, and which, as far as I know, is only available directly from WaterField Designs/SF Bags (easy to find via Google). I considered making a video to show this but it's easier to type, so I'll try to describe what I'd show in a video: The iPad in a case/sleeve is in place in the compartment in the inside rear of the case. (I specify "inside" because there is a mesh compartment with a Velcro opening on the outer rear side of the case.) I then slide the keyboard, naked or in the aforementioned Keyboard Socket, battery end up with the keypad facing the front of the case, into the Targus case. It slides in smoothly but the fit is on the tight side, but even with the keyboard in the Keyboard Socket, the fit is not so tight that I have to use any force. I don't know if the Targus case was designed with just this type of use in mind (and I doubt it was given that the tag attached to the one I bought from Amazon doesn't even mention the iPad, whereas the same bags at my local WalMart have presumably newer tags that do mention the iPad), but it's as if it was, because it's a perfect fit. But before I put both the iPad and Apple bluetooth keyboard into the Targus case, I go into the iPad's settings and turn the bluetooth function to OFF, for otherwise, even if the keyboard has been turned off, it is bound to get activated and turn the iPad on when the iPad is in the Targus case. (I don't care if the keyboard itself gets turned on, for the only way to prevent that would be to remove the batteries or at least loosen the part that holds the batteries in place, and that would be too much hassle.)
Okay, so I have the iPad in a case/sleeve in the Targus case, and I have the Apple bluetooth keyboard naked or in the WaterField Designs/SF Bags Keyboard Socket in the Targus case. What other iPad accessories, etc., can I fit without turning the Targus case into a lumpy looking thing?
At the risk of sounding like the Ronco guy ("I can fit this! And this! And you also get these knives!"), I can fit a lot more in the Targus. For purposes of this review I have my iPad in the Simplism sleeve (which is not the thinnest sleeve because of four hard raised silicone areas on the back of it) in the Targus, and I have the keyboard in the Keyboard Socket in there as well. And I can still fit the incredibly handy Arkon Portable Fold-Up Stand for Apple iPad in the front section of the Targus, as well as either the charger and charge/sync cable that comes with the iPad or the Griffin Technology PowerBlock for iPad and the Griffin Technology 3 Meter USB to Dock Cable (that's 9 feet of fairly thick cable, a lot thicker than the cable that comes with the iPad, and BTW it doesn't have to be used with a dock as it plugs right into the iPad, and the current price at the linked to listing is at least twice what you should pay), and there's still room for a capacitive stylus and a regular pen and a cloth to wipe the screen with. With all that in the Targus case it's still not lumpy. It's getting thick, but not lumpy. And even with all that in the Targus case, I can fit my reading glasses case in the zippered front outer compartment on the lid of the Targus case. And with all that in the case there's room for a cell phone and/or a Flip type camera. You could fit a few envelopes or papers in the mesh compartment on the rear of the Targus case without crossing the boundary into lumpy-looking-case territory. With all this stuff in the case the case is thick (reminds me of lunch boxes I had when I was a school kid) but not lumpy-looking (or lumpy-feeling, though with all of the above in it - including a cell phone, a Flip camera, and the 3-meter long cable - it weighs around 5 lbs.).
I've never owned anything with a shoulder strap that didn't keep sliding off my shoulder, but even though I'm a 6' tall big guy, the shoulder strap on the Targus case can be extended to a length that enables me to comfortably carry it with the strap on the shoulder opposite the side of my body that the case rests against. On me, with the strap extended as far as it will go, that leaves the Targus case resting against my hip below my waist with just the top of it above my waist, and for me that's an ideal carrying position. In this position I can also slide the case around so that it's halfway behind me.
While the shoulder strap is not removable (unless you cut it off because you never want to use it), it is easily tucked inside the case, even with all the stuff in the case that I list above, and the case can then be carried by its handle.
You can see sharp, clear, zoomable images of the Targus case at the Targus site (go to the site and search for the model number TSM097US; it says "download" below each of two icon-sized images, but when I click on those in the Firefox browser, it opens another window with a zoomable image; one of the images gives you a clear picture of the front-most section that I am about to comment on). The only thing about the Targus case that I think could be improved upon is the staying capacity of the zippers on either side of the front-most compartment. On the one hand it's nice that in order to access that compartment you don't even need to pull the zippers down but can just pull at the edge of the flap and the zippers will come right down, giving you total visual and physical access to the contents of that compartment, but I wish the zippers were tighter when in the up position. They haven't slid down on me, but with enough jostling (e.g., in crowded to the point of standing room only public transportation), I imagine that they could slide down, leaving the sides of that compartment exposed with the possibility of something falling out.
I'm very pleased with this case, for I finally have one convenient place to carry all my iPad related stuff in. (If anyone doubts that I can comfortably fit all the stuff I list above in the case, say the word and I'll post a short video to show that I can.) - Netbook Cases - Notebook Computer Bags - Ipad Bag - Ipad'

Home Theater - audio, mac
I was a bit skeptical of this cable at first because of how thin it is. However, it works perfectly, and the price is awesome. There's really no need to pay more. When you think about it, optical signals aren't subject to the same type of interference as traditional electrical signals. Thus, you don't need beefy shielding for a clear signal. Less material is also better for the environment! StarTech.com THINTOSMIN6 6ft Toslink to Mini Digital Optical SPDIF Audio Cable
I bought this cable to be used on my mini-mac (althought works with any mini-plug headphone conection)to connect the audio line to my home theather receiver as a digital signal.
...this is a whole new level of audio quality in comparison with the analog signal...try it.
This TOSlink to Miniplug is the perfect addition to my home theater. I use it to attach the Optical headphone jack on my Mac mini to my Yamaha 5.1 receiver. The mini connects to a HDTV LCD via DVI-HDMI cable and needs a separate audio connection. Sound quality is excellent with this cable!
And the price cannot be beat...
My first foray into fiber optics. Had to first decide which end connections were necessary for the cable. That was the most difficult part. Toslink? Miniplug? So much for standardization. In the end I got the right cable and it works great. I'm happy and now I understand a little more about fiber optics.
I got this one for very cheap... it carries digital (optical) signal from minplug-like jacks to optical TOSLINK inputs. I used it to get digital quality sound from my Macbook and it does so perfectly. The only thing, is that the optical end does not stay quite fixed into the optical jack, so any touch will take it out inmediately.
I was making myself crazy looking for one of these for my Airport Express. This one works perfect. No complaints. When compared to the mini-to-RCA connection it's like comparing the audio on your answering machine to a movie theater. - Mac Mini - Mac - Dolby - Audio'

Scientific Calculator - calculators, casio
I used to own a TI-36 made by Texas Instruments. That was a nice calculator, but then I decided to upgrade to this calculator. There are many differences that set this calculator apart from the TI-36. First of all, I love the 2 line display that displays the equation or whatever you just typed in on the top line and the answer on the bottom. Makes a perfect alternative to a graphing calculator that is very similar by displaying whatever you originally typed in. The TI-36 did not offer this. THis is a big plus. Also, whenever you need to indicate a negative value, you can either use the negative button or the minus button before the value... for example, if you wanted to enter -5, you just have to key in - 5. With a TI calculator, you have to key in the five first, and then the negative sign. The TI way used to cause me to make some errors, but the Casio way is very logical! Finally, you can use this calculator in any lighting condition. Because of three way power, you can use the solar panel in bright conditions and battery power in dark conditions, all automatically without any user interference! There are tons of calculations that you can do with this calculator.Although this calculator may seem a little expensive for a scientific calculator, I highly recommend it! It is definitely worth the money! Casio FX-300MS Plus 229-Function Scientific Calculator
I just got my fx300w and was trying to replicate the bug ALENCIOUS reported. I found actually he/she misunderstood the functions. By RCL you only see what's stored in those alpha memory spots. If you wanna use them to calculate, you do not need to recall and cal( this will actually become what in ANS calculate with the last alpha u enter. The correct way to do calculation is just press Alpha and the spot u want to cal. In ALENCIOUS's example, it would be 'Alpha A + Alpha B', and that's absolutely correct.
Overall, I think this calculator is [inexpensive], convinient and powerful. I like it more than my TI-82 and also more than the new casio MS series(fx-300ms) :). Enjoy!
This calculator was recommended in my undergrad engineering lab courses. This calculator served well in preparing for reports in the courses. Low price but very sophisticated. A must for students taking lab courses. ALENCIOUS SHU ZEE LO is WRONG!
My new school forced me to get a scientific calculator after using a graphing calculator (TI-83) for several years. Using this calculator is a breeze. I now prefer to use it over my TI. The natural textbook display allows one to input a long formula error free. I highly recommend this calculator.
This is a great little scientific calculator.
The buttons are soft and precise. It has all the functions that a student needs for Math.
The protective cover is strong.
I have no hesitation in recommending this unit.
This calculator accompanied me through high school along with all the standardized tests. I love it for all its functions (there's a lot, if one ever kept the manual and read it =) ). I really like the top line that shows you your inputs, so that when you get an unexpected answer, you'll be able to find the problem.
The only reason I bought a new one was because I misplaced my old one. I expect this one to last me at least decades since battery life has been a non-issue. This will be the only calculator I'll ever carry and use. Even now, I use it in grocery stores to figure out unit prices.
Very good calculator. I have been using it for college math and I have yet to find anything negative about it. I broke my last calculator which was 3 times the price of this one but this one comes equipped with a hard plastic cover which slides on and off. It stays on too; pretty impressive. It has a two line display and a memory cache so if you make a mistake, forget how to complete a previous problem, or you write the answer down wrong, you can scroll through your previous calculations to find what you need. Not bad for 10 bucks.
It is hard to beat a calculator that has this functionality for just over ten bucks. It would be perfect for what I want with one exception. You CANNOT directly enter exponential notation. They have an ENG button, but it is purely for formatting the display once the calculation is done. Say What?
This makes the calculator completely annoying for Electronics calculations using Inductors, Capacitors, Frequency. Basically anything over basic DC circuits.
I should be able to enter the value of a 40 mH inductor as 40[ENG](-)6, but with this calculator I have to use 40[x][SHIFT][10^X](-)6.
That gets annoying when you are using Inductor, Capacitor and MHz (10^6) frequency values in one quick calculation.
Oh, well. Make sure you don't need this before you buy it. A great price is only a great value if the product is useful for you.
Edit: OK, after playing around more with this calculator, I'm giving it one more star. The 10^x issue isn't as annoying. You are not required to multiple before putting a 10^x function on something. This helps a little. It would be much better if ENG worked as it should, but this is a good calculator for the price. - Engineering - Scientific - Casio - Calculators'

This cereal doesn't have much flavor (it's not the worst I've had), but what killed it for me is it turns into mush quickly. I love how most gluten free cereals stay crispy, but not this one. I much prefer their regular puffed rice cereal. - Cereal - Gluten Free Cereal - Wheat Free - Celiac'

Headphone Extension Cords - headphone extension cords, extension
I needed an extension because my headphones were too short to fit into my speakers. I looked at a lot of other extension reviews, and the main flaws of most of the extensions were that the wires would break or the sound quality would be greatly diminished afterwords. The majority of the reviews for this extension seemed positive so I decided to get it. This extension is great, you can walk around your room, or walk on the treadmill with increased mobility without a reduction in sound quality or loudness.
I haven't had a it long enough to know how long it might last before it may break down. So far I've had it for about a month plus a week, and there are no cracks in the wire, or any change in the quality, and I use for hours a day. Compared to other extension products I've seen this is a good buy for it's price and it's functionality. Cables To Go 40409 3.5 mm Male/Female Stereo Audio Extension Cable, Black (25 Feet/7.62 Meters )
This extension is just what I was looking for. I needed to have a long extension in order to connect my earphones to my PC and it is at about 1.50 m. from my head so the cable of my earphones was veryu short. I've been using it for a month and it works flawlesly
I bought this cable to replace the extension on my Shure earbuds. I would not reccommend it. The cable is much more rigid than the one that came with my earbuds, which causes it to work its way into loops instead of just laying flat. It is really annoying. The connectors also don't appear to be very good quality. I constantly get static in my earbuds if the plug twists around in the earphone socket of my Zune.
When I first received the 12 foot extension cable, I was very happy with it. The sound quality is only minimally affected. However, within a month and a half, it only works at certain angles. I cannot hold the cord in place whenever I want to listen to music. Don't waste your money, unless you plan to replace it every couple of months.
Here's an honest reveiw:
Really like the length and look of the extender, only problem is that after the
second day I used it, the right channel wouldn't work for any speakers or head phones that I'd use it with (even with cleaning and adjusting position of jack).
Fortunately I went rumaging through my old audio equipment and found my old extender which is only half as long and doesn't have as appealing of a look, but it does work after 4 YEARS of use (same cost range too).
Only 2 days of working compared to 4 years of working makes me give this product
the lowest possible review rating.
I broke the extension on my Bose headphones so I bought this as the replacement. It's ok, but it doesn't fit very well into my iPod when it has the case on it. The plastic around the extension is thick so it blocks that area. The sound is ok though, not overly excited about it but not disappointed either. It works and it's affordable!
I take the cable out of the package, plug my headphones into it and then plug the other end into my iPhone. The sound volume is much lower than if I was not using it. If I move the cable at all, there will be crackles and maybe only one channel will work. I suspect a short or a cold solder. This cable is only good for the trash.
This is the second cable I have used for extending earphones to reach my TV. My first one has worked for 1 year and ended up with one side of ears shut down, So I brought this cable. I found this new one is defective--making hiss noise on and off, and one ear is louder than the other, which really freaked me out. I am sure it is not because of my earphones or TV set, because they are working fine without the extension cable. My suggestion is that they still need a quality control while making this simple gedgets. - Headphone Extension Cords - Headphones - Extension - Audio'

Cell Phone Car Charger - cell phone car charger, travel charger
It's not rocket science... it works or it doesn't. The device works fine. My only "complaint" is that the cord is a bit short but that is of lesser concern considering the price. The short cord is the only reason it didn't get a 5 star rating. It's well worth the money. Car Charger for Motorola V3 Razr Razor V3c V323 V325 L6 L7 U6 Vehicle Car Battery Charger
It worked fine the first few times I used it, then I had to position it a certain way for it to start charging, and if I didn't pay attention, it would randomly stop charging (before the battery was fully charged, of course). After about two weeks of that I had to hold it in the phone at a certain angle or it wouldn't charge. And after that it just stopped working all together. I would have rather bought the Motorola brand charger in the first place than to have wasted any money on this one first, only to have to buy the brand name later. Note: I was using this as my sole phone charger with an adapter for the wall plug (this adapter had no problems whatsoever with my Nokia car charger, which I used for three years). It was very inconvenient for me when this charger stopped working.
I purchased this because I was tired of my cell phone battery running low while I was driving. This chsrger allows my phone to be charged while in the car when I am running errands. The cheap price and good workmanship made this a worthwhile purchase.
This is very inexpensive and works just fine. I had the original Motorola car charger which one day just stopped working. If these things aren't made to last, I'd rather buy the less expensive generic version. Great buy for the money!
It DOES charge, but you have to hold the charger in the phone a certain way so it kind of defeats the purpose of charging while driving since you have to hold it in...but it was a good price, so it's okay
Works Great! Charges quicker than a wall charger. Very inexpensive. Never buy these things in Big-box Stores like BestBuy or Walmart, because they put so much markup on them. Always buy electronics and accessories online. Fast Shipping. Thanks. - Cell Phone Car Charger - Travel Charger - Motorola - Accessory'

Trimline - slimline, corded phone
I noticed on another review that they couldn't get the phone to work on a wall mount because it would slide off. Note that this is NOT TRUE. There is a small plastic piece on the area that depresses the hang up switch on the base. You have to remove this and flip it upside down, making sure the small tab is nearest to the front. I have it hanging on my kitchen wall and it works great.
One thing to keep in mind that the cable is one long cable that goes through the base to the wall and attaches inside the phone. You cannot replace it, there is no jack on the handset end. If you want a longer coiled phone cable for the handset you are out of luck. The base is cheap, it is just molded plastic and is extremely light. If you want a cheap phone for occasional use, it works well. I would not buy this for an everyday device. Uniden White Slimline Corded Phone (Slim1100)
DON'T BUY this phone if you want to hang it on the wall. I was looking for a phone to hang on a wall to cover a phone box, but the receiver on this phone won't stay on the wall. I had to take a rubberband and put it around the base of the phone and the receiver to keep it from falling to the floor. - Corded Phone - Trimline - Slimline'

Cuisinart Waffle Maker - waffle, cuisinart
I've owned three or four waffle makers and none of them compare to the quality of this gem from Cuisinart. If you're picky about waffles--and why shouldn't you be?--then spend a little extra on this model and get effortless results. Here's what makes this a GREAT wafflemaker:1) An accurate thermostat--no surprises when you open the lid2) A consistent heating surface--avoid hot spots or undercooked waffles3) A variable timer--essential if you have more than one waffle color preference in the family4) Smart design--it stores on its side, taking up a LOT less space in your cupboard5) Easy to clean exterior--cleans up with a damp paper towel6) Dependable non-stick finish--unlike cheap waffle makers, the nonstick finish on this model does not wear out7) Cool-touch lid--never burn your hand on a waffle maker againI am genuinely thrilled with my Cuisinart waffle maker and I believe it's an absolute bargain. If you're used to spending big bucks on store-bought waffles--or if you have a cheap, junky waffle maker at home--treat yourself to this nice little unit. It's a low-cost luxury. Plus, you'll have a fun time making waffles (and impressing your family and friends!). Bon appetit!
Update: Daily use, keeps going and turns out excellent waffles.
I mentioned below that waffle batter can be stored in the fridge. Try leaving it out overnight. The batter turns slightly sour, and still makes great waffles, but with a sourdoughish flavor that is pure heaven with maple syrup. And you can make some and leave it next to the waffle iron the previous night so all you have to wait for in the morning is for this waffle maker to heat up.
Interesting that this product is getting polarized reviews. Either very good or terrible. Here's my experience and then comments others might find useful.
- I made a batch of chocolate waffles to freeze (to reheat and serve with ice-cream). All 14 turned out perfect. Before that, I made 7 regular waffles that came out GBD - Golden Brown and Delicious. All I did was follow the light and use settings from 3 to 4.
- Going back and forth to get my preferred color was easy because 3 was still 3 after going to 4 (and a bit more). The initial and subsequent uses didn't cause variations in the color. Good design.
- Wiped all of it clean with a wet kitchen napkin. Easy.
- Miles ahead of my last waffle iron, which required a lot of guessing and waffle rejection.
- DON'T open the lid until you see the ready light. Or bye bye waffles. They do not like to be disturbed until ready.
- A good recipe is important. Don't use pancake mix, which is simply a combination of the dry ingredients formulated for pancakes and not waffles. Besides it's a rip-off, like selling $1 unglazed tile as a $20 pizza stone.
- Here's my adaptation of a Good Eats recipe: 2 cups all purpose flour, tsp baking powder, half tsp baking soda, tsp salt, 3 tablespoons sugar. Whisk together thoroughly. Combine 1/2 qt whole buttermilk or pint full fat yogurt + pint milk and 2/3 stick melted butter and pour into dry stuff. Mix with rubber spatula for ten seconds (don't overmix, small lumps will be ok). Leave for about 5-10 min. Turn on waffle iron, spray plates with pam or similar spray. Drop two ice-cream scoop-sized blobs slightly behind the middle and let the lid down. Setting: 3-4. Remove when green light comes back on. Easy. Excess can be stored overnight in an airtight box in the fridge.
If I could wish for anything more, it would be for a ready light that was visible from the far end of my long kitchen. The light is designed to be in sight of a normal height person doing other stuff nearby. I have a long kitchen so the light is barely visible from my sink on the other side. Since then I've been listening for the "click" that flips the red light to the green.
I am so surprised by the negative reviews of this product. We've had this waffler for a year now and have used it A LOT. I'd estimate 75 times- usually once or twice a week. We've never had a problem with sticking and the waffler is going strong. The waffles turn out great, every time. One thing to consider, waffles require you to use oil in the batter. It's what gives them the nice crispy golden brown outside, and I imagine it helps with the sticking too. Now, I've never encountered a waffle recipe that doesn't call for oil, but it makes me wonder if those who have problem with sticking are simply using pancake batter???We tried other wafflers with our regular batter recipe and the results were awful- heavy and dense. This waffler makes a nice light waffle. The selector really works to get the desired done-ness, it's a great feature and we've found the results to be very reliable. In short, we think this is a great product. Our experience with other wafflers indicates they're not all created equal, and this one is quite a good model. We like ours so much we've completely stopped making pancakes! - Best Waffle Maker - Wafflemaker - Waffle Iron - Waffle - Appliances - Cuisinart'
