Electronics And Gadgets
Very handy. Works on all popular battery sizes. Great way to determine strength of batteries that have been lying around the house for a long time. I have also tested batteries that I use in devices that take multiple batteries and can quickly determine if one or all of them need to be replaced. There are similar products on the market that likely work as well. This was one of the least expensive, is easy to use, seems durable and does the job. SE Battery Tester
This review is for the SE BT20 battery tester, which is a good, low cost, easy to use tester, that provides basic information about the condition of a battery. The tester has three ranges, `Good' (green), Low (yellow), and `Replace' (red). The sliding red contact is adjusted manually.
The tester is designed to work with various types of 1.5 volt batteries (AAA, AA, C, D, disc or button type). Do not try testing a battery of a higher voltage, as you may fry a resistor, blow a fuse, or otherwise damage the tester. There is a separate set of contacts for testing 9 volt batteries.
To precisely measure a battery's actual output, a voltmeter would be used. A tester like the BT20 only provides a rough idea of battery strength. A new 1.5 volt, non-rechargeable battery, delivering the full 1.5 volts, should read at the top end of the green scale. Rechargeable batteries (AA, AAA, C and D size) are designed to produce only 1.2 volts at full output. Because this is 80 percent of the 1.5 volt maximum the tester is rated for, a NiMH battery will normally read somewhere in the middle of the green section. This may lead some to believe that the battery is `weak', when it is actually at its full rated power. While a lower reading is normal for a NiMH battery, a 1.5 volt non-rechargeable battery with the same reading, is actually down about 20 percent from full voltage, and may not have that much useful life left. Rechargeable 9 volt batteries are rated at only 7.2 volts, and would similarly produce lower readings, even at full power.
If you want a basic tester for 1.5 volt batteries, this is a good choice. If you need more precision, look at a voltmeter or multimeter.
This inexpensive device ships FREE! It does exactly what you want a battery tester to do - tell you if a battery is good or bad. No need to interpret a multimeter or fiddle with electrodes. The needle bounces to "good" or "replace." Easy. I don't know what these people need rubber bands for (other reviews). It takes one second to make contact with the battery and read the meter. There is no need to hold it in for more than a split second. You just push the slider to the battery with your thumb and your done. Easy, cheep, and accurate.
This is a very good product. I would agree that it feels a bit flimsy, but it works and hasn't fallen apart. It's also fairly effective at matching battery strenghts for applications that require more than one battery.
The only critical comment I have is interpreting what is a good vs. bad battery. For example, a battery that does not work well in a flashlight (heavy load on battery) may work well in a wall clock(light load). So, before you toss out a battery because it measures in the red area of the scale, test it in a clock, or similar device.
I'm rarely inspired to write a review, but this inexpensive little piece of plastic has improved the quality of my life. No more swapping out batteries with working flashlights or Wii controllers or whatnot to see if they're truly dead. And I've developed a nice green system around it: all batteries that flunk the test are put into a bag that periodically gets emptied at a battery recycling collection spot.
One more thing... FindingKing promised a fast delivery date and the package arrived even sooner than that. And shipping was free. Well done!
Bought this tester because we have a camera that seems to chew up batteries (Nikon P50). Also, have learned that rechargeable batteries discharge even on the shelf. We use the tester to check batteries before putting in the camera and after taking them out when the camera says it needs new batteries. From this practice we have learned where the critical points are on the scale and don't pay attention to the green and red areas. We dont' see a need for a more sophisticated tester.
I bought one that didn't work, they sent another but it didn't work either. I took them to a tech friend and he deteremed the meters are dead. This net site claims they test everything before it is sent to buyers. BUYER BEWARE!!!'

Speech Recognition - olympus, mic
For a cheapo microphone, I was pleasantly surpised with how well this worked at picking up speakers who were a distance away. You may have to adjust the sensitivity of the recorder, because the sensitivity of this mic is significantly higher than the built-in stereo mic, and recording to 'hot' will result in garbled, distorted sound.
The Olympus recorders seem to select sensitivity with labels like 'dictate' and 'conference', where 'conference' would normally be used in a distant recording situation but if the record bar hits the right side of the screen you want to set it to the lower sensitivity mode 'dictate'. In any case, with this (mono) mic you should change your recording mode to Mono so you can get double the record time. Olympus ME-52W Noise Canceling Microphone
My first reaction to this microphone was astonishment at is its small size. It's larger than most lapel microphones, but that's because of the physical requirements for noise-cancellation. Still, it's very small, especially for a true "cardioid" (noise-cancelling) microphone.
The performance is superb! As Jim wrote, it is very sensitive. I tested it in a quiet room at distances up to 10 feet away. At about 3 feet, my voice was strong and clear. At 10 feet, it was obviously remote, but the sound was good and very clear, with no echo. Off-axis, the sensitivity drops rapidly. At about 70 degrees, the sound weakens noticeably, and beyond 90 degrees, it is almost inaudible.
M. L. Strickland is correct in warning that the microphone requires external power. The instructions on the box specify 1.5 - 10 volts. Writers who reported that the microphone was very weak were almost certainly using a recorder that does not provide the necessary excitation voltage. This energizer voltage draws negligible power from the recorder's batteries.
However, he is wrong when he writes, '... the noise "cancelation" is only provided by a directional shield. True cancellation is obtained by using a stereo mike with the two pickups wired to cancel noise that arrives at both equally.'
Noise-cancelling microphones have existed almost from the start, long before stereo ever existed. The close-up photo on this page clearly shows a slot ("port") in the side of the microphone's body. There is another on the other side. These ports channel sound to the back of the transducer (the sound-sensitive element) so that it is 180 degrees out of phase with the sound striking the front. These opposing signals cancel each other acoustically, but there is always some sound "leakage" through the case and because of imperfect cancellation, resulting in a weak output.
This microphone is intended for recording sounds at a distance, which is the purpose of all cardioid (unidirectional) microphones. Its output level is higher than on most microphones, so there is a possibility of distortion, especially if the sound source (such as the speaker) is too close. For a normal voice, I suggest it be held 8 to 12 inches from the speaker's mouth.
This microphone was bought to be used on an Olympus DS-330, a six-year-old monophonic digital voice recorder. The internal microphone is sensitive and effective, but because it is omni-directional, recordings in a noisy environment, or at a distance from the speaker, are unclear. The ME-52W mic worked equally well in the "Dictation" (low-sensitivity) and "Conference" (high-sensitivy) modes, but the "Dictation" mode is preferable. It's almost identical in sensitivity to the "Conference" mode, and omits residual background noise, such as radios and air conditioners.
With a rated frequency range of 100 - 15,000 Hz, and depending on your equipment, the ME-52W makes excellent voice recordings, and respectable, but not perfect, music recordings. It essentially eliminates echoes, and strongly reduces background sounds. If it's compatible with your equipment, it should be a winner.
I did an interview in a noisy restaurant and put the recorder on the table with the mic pointed straight up. The mic picked up both voices very well and cut down the background noise by at least 70%. The interview would have been impossible otherwise.
Be careful. This microphone requires power to be applied from your recording device. This is described on the box and in the enclosed spec sheet, but I don't see anything about it on the Amazon site.
Did not work at all with my laptop.
Also the noise "cancelation" is only provided by a directional shield. True cancellation is obtained by using a stereo mike with the two pickups wired to cancel noise that arrives at both equally.
This microphone has been an excellent addition! I use it to record to my Olympus WS-321M digital recorder, and I LOVE it for capturing my dictation or for capturing presentations/lectures that I give. The lapel clip and cord makes for easy and clear recording, while I keep the recorder in my pocket. This is excellent for audio interviews, as it eliminates much of the ambient noise; however, the cable isn't long enough for a video interview with a camcorder (seems long enough for a webcam interview). Also, when I want to capture comments from around the room, I remove this microphone. I just purchased a stereo omni-directional microphone, so I will try that for conference room discussions.
Note: this is a MONO microphone, which means it doesn't work with equipment that requires stereo inputs -- I found this out when trying to use it with my video camcorder and captured no sound (lost one video presentation!). It seems that this is the same problem some people are having with this microphone for their laptops. Also, that means that podcasts/recordings only come out of one headphone/speaker, which can be frustrating for listeners. If you are recording voice
I also downloaded some simple (and free) audio editing software (called FreeAudioDub) that allows me to cut, rename or save clips, delete extraneous filler. - Noise Canceling - Digital Voice Recorder - Olympus - Mic'

Power Tools - lithium, 12v
A professional window and door installer of many years...I bought this tool because the 18v Dewault is getting heavy over head. I still need the Dewault for drilling and the hammer tool, but for running screws - this little guy is a pleasant surprise. Runs all day for me without a complaint and almost always the battery runs more than a day. Very light and easy to run. After a month of full time use on the job I would buy another in a heartbeat. Ridgid R82007 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Pocket Drill Driver
For $129 it is a good buy. I had a friend who bought the tw0-pack drills from Home Depot for $129, but those deals are long over! This set comes with two batteries, a charger, one drill, and ready to use. It has a neat canvas carrying case that keeps everything together. the lithium-ion batteries make other cordless drills obsolete. They hold their charge for a long time, and don't develope memory when charging - so you can charge the batteries as often as you'd like without waiting until they are fully discharged. The drill is solid and compact, and packs a lot of torgue.
Many other options. The Milwaukee m12 is my favorite but Bosch, Makita make good options. Way too expensive, these were 2 for $99 in Home Depot as this is a discontinued model. Horrible wobbly chuck, plastic sleeve, in contrast the Milwaukee has an all metal chuck, 2 speed gear box, much better ergo. and many other tools in M12 line up.
Generally this drill is a handy little drill for many jobs. It is small and very powerful for its size. I read many reviews before I purchased it, and was alarmed by all of the problems with the batteries. I thought - surely Ridgid would address these problems and my drill wouldn't be one with the problem. WRONG!! The batteries were defective right off the bat. I found the service center - which was wrong on the website and about twenty miles out of Salt Lake City. They took the whole drill in for two weeks and replaced the batteries. If you want to be without your new purchase for two weeks, go ahead and buy this. Any company that would ship out defective parts is not worthy of any future purchases from me. And, if you choose the Milwaukee drill - don't plan on anything different. I found that these drills are made by the same company. It seems that Ridgid (a company with a long standing reputation for making excellent tools) sold the name to another company that is making these tools - mostly in China. If you insist on buying these tools, spend the extra ten bucks and buy them from Home Depot. Then, when they go bad, you can get a replacement right away. Better yet, get something else.
Buy the way - this is the second tool that I bought from Amazon (shipped from Amazon) in the last couple of months that had to have service work right away. I am suspecting that companies may be sending Amazon defective merchandise and letting the consumer deal with it. Both products should never have been let out from the factory.
Nice looking drill; short, fits in your pocket when on a ladder. Had a good experience for a few months until the batteries started to go. Won't charge most of the time and even when they do, they only run about every third pull of the trigger. And I bought two of the damned things so I've got four (4) batteries that the charger says are now defective. With good batteries this is a good drill. As they are now, I would reccommend them only to my christian friends. Maybe prayer would help. Me, I'm going to try the warranty. Tomorrow.
I'm writing this because of the negative reviews. I've owned this tool and used it heavily for over a year with great results.
I replaced a worn out DeWalt NiCad 14 volt with this tool. I bought Rigid because I have had really great reliability with a corded 1/2in hammer drill for about five years.
The 12v lithium battery seems like a miracle. It never seems to run down. You will never run it dead before your backup battery recharges, unless your using it with a huge hole saw or some other absurdity that it isn't designed for. One battery usually lasts all day if you're just installing a bunch of screws with it. I install beverage systems for a living and do a lot of mounting and light drilling.
It is feather-light. It's easy to adjust the speed with the trigger. It's plenty-powerful for any drill bit that will fit the chuck. Battery stays powerful until it's almost completely dead. It has a nifty work light. Batteries recharge quickly and last through most any job.
A few people here have complained that the battery charger indicated that the batteries were bad and failed to charge them. I had this happen once: It didn't take much to determine that it won't charge a battery that is stored in a very-cold environment. I moved the batteries inside and it returned to normal.
I have owned one of these for about three years now and I have no complaints at all. It really shines when a large 18v is more drill than you need but you don't want to be handicapped by a lack of power. The charger gets the batteries charged up quickly and the whole package is very portable. Ridgid offers a Lifetime Service Agreement which covers every component, including your batteries, so as long as you are careful and hang onto your receipt, or register the tools with Ridgid, you'll never have to worry about needing to buy new batteries when they run out of life. I can testify to the LSA because I just had both batteries replaced and the only thing I had to do was take them (along with the drill & charger) down to a local service center and within a week I had two new batteries. I can't ask for anything better from a company.
I bought this drill because I was building some furniture with hardwood and I needed a drill and screwdriver that worked in tight, enclosed spaces and had a lot of torque. This thing delivers on both of those better than any drill I've ever used. I'm amazed by the battery life and how much twist it's got. I'm a big fella, I work on ships, I'm used to industrial power tools and this little thing was a big surprise for me. The charge time is really short, the kit I bought came with two batteries, and so far I haven't been able to completely use up even one battery over the course of a half a day of work. I'm reserving one star because the battery in this is not interchangeable with other tools as far as I've been able to find, and I would have liked to find a circular saw that could use the same equipment, but 12 volts is not going to do much in a saw.
Very nice, very handy tool. - Battery - Compact - 12v - Lithium'

Campbell Hausfeld - compressor nailer, compressor
Rather than having to always run my compressor to top up tire pressures, I like a portable tank. Fill it once and it gets several fills before needing to be pumped up again. The probelm with most available tanks is that they are cheaply made. This one is nicely finished and has nice components like a well-placed, nicely shaped handle. Best of all it does not leak. It has a shitoff for the air hose and so hod air indefinitrly. Hyundai HPT505 5-Gallon Inflation Tank
As usual, Amazon shipped the item quickly. The product specifications state it is rated to 100PSI, but the relief valve doesn't trigger at 125PSI, which is commonly the maximum pressure output of single stage compressors. So their specifications at 100PSI are probably very conservative.
I pumped up the tank to 119 PSI, and it held pressure over 48h without any apparent leaks.
The build quality is decent, as one might expect from the Hyundai brand. The on/off valve twist dial is plastic; I would have preferred brass. But it works fine.
I plan to put this in the back of the boat and fill up the beach toys very easily. Note that the included hose has only a schraeder valve for tires, but it looks like the whole assembly can be swapped easily.
I pumped this up to 95psi and tucked it under my desk for a week. When I checked, it was still at 95psi. Great!
Con: the attached hose doesn't have interchangeable anything so it takes some work to get everything working if you want to use it for anything other than inflating schrader valve tires. - Compressor Nailer - For Nail Guns - Campbell Hausfeld - Compressor'

Stapler
This testament to the quality of this tool may be how many times I've either had it stolen. For under 20 bucks you get a stapler that will work perfectly -- not a single jam -- until you 'lose it'. Great for stapling screen, fabric or any material into wood as well as other light surfaces. I've used it for a variety for household repair project and I suspect it is great for craft things as well. One note: if you are going to use this to tack telephone cable or electrical wire I would highly recommend buying the T-25 instead (it wasn't on Amazon at the time of this review, but I suspect it will be here soon.) That model has curved staples and a guide to feed the wire, resulting in a much lower chance of puncturing through the insulation. It is very good for hiding all the assorted self-installed 'networks' and 'audio systems' in your house.Though I see other ergodynamic versions are available, I truly don't believe that there's much to improve on -- this tool is pretty much perfect. Arrow Fastener T50 Heavy Duty Staple Gun
The Arrow T50 staple gun used to be a simple, dependable tool. I had one for 20 years and never had a problem with it. My staple gun disappeared from the job site, now I know why -- the old ones worked, the new ones are junk! After 2 hours of frustration trying to tack insulation, jams every few minutes with Arrow brand staples -- I took a hammer to it! Save your money and buy something else!
In response to previous reviewers' observations that this tool jams frequently, it is a fairly cheap tool. For the money, I find it to be a value. Although advertised as "Heavy-Duty" this tool is not for contractors requiring a heavy use stapler. But for small jobs, it fits the bill nicely.
I used my Arrow T50 today to secure some indoor/outdoor carpeting to a flight of porch stairs. Throughout the more than 120 9/16" staples (the tool's maximum allowable size), I experienced zero jams.
So get this stapler if you're a homeowner or occational user. Contractors needing a heavy-duty tool for roofing, vapor barrier, or similar applications where many fasteners are needed quickly, get a hammer-stapler or "slap-tacker" like the Arrow HT50PBL. Happy fastening.
I understand this product is cheap, but for me, it's just too shoddy to justify purchasing at any price. It's frustrating to use and it's just plain stupid that Arrow would tell anyone this thing is "Heavy Duty". Compared to WHAT? A Swingline desk stapler? At least the Swingline does what you expect it to do. The Arrow does NOT. It bothers me to see "Made in America" on a shoddy product.
What's OK: This stapler is OK for extremely light use. How light? Think of the easiest thing you could ask a staple gun to do. That's what this thing can do, no more. For example, I had a very cheap wooden folding screen (made in China of soft pine) that had gotten scratched up by the cat, and I was able to attach nice looking upholstery to it with the Arrow stapler. In that application, with the soft pine wooden frame flat on a table in front of me and the stapler pointing straight down through one or two layers of thin material, I got only occasional jams. The 1/4" staples generally did penetrate the wood enough. I was also able to re-affix some torn couch upholstery in a very similar manner - more or less pointing straight down, into soft pine, through one or two layers of cloth. That was the one application that this thing worked for. It still jammed sometimes, but not too bad. That earns it one star.
The other star is because this stapler soldiers on. You can pry staples out of it (and you will be prying, believe me) and though time consuming and annoying, it won't break the gun. I've pried probably hundreds of staples out of this thing and it doesn't seem to be getting any worse than it was when it was new. So at least its reliably sucky.
BAD SIDE: The above example is honestly the only thing I've figured out that this stapler can do. It is terribly jam-prone when used at any angle other than straight down, and its extremely weak, regardless. What in the world does "Heavy Duty" mean to the marketers at Arrow?
Attaching insulation to new white pine wall studs: C-. Lots of jams, especially at the beginning of every strip of staples. I had to split every strip in two to prevent constant jams at the beginning of the strips. Staples could be driven about 1/4" reliably, but if you need any more penetration than that, you'll need to do constant touch ups with a hammer.
Attaching insulation to older red pine studs: D-. Good luck! Old red pine is a definite notch harder than plantation grown white pine from Home Depot, but its softer than hardwoods or plywood. In any case, it's too hard for this stapler. 80% of the staples either jam right in the mechanism or barely go into the wood, so that you have to bang them with a hammer just to get them properly seated in the wood. Even 1/4" penetration was a challenge for this thing.
Plywood: F. My girlfriend tried to use this thing to staple a carpet sample to a piece of plywood to make a scratching post for the aforementioned feline. No go. The staple gun was hard for her to operate due to the high squeezing force needed, and it was too weak to get the staples into the plywood anyway.
Diagonal/ceiling rafters/overhead work: F. No only is the staple gun quite weak, but any angle seems to multiply the chance that the pusher slips off the top of the staple. It works on occasion, but you get about ten to one screwing around time vs stapling time. That isn't good enough for a "D".
Ergonomics: C. The way the tool is shaped, you hold it so your fingers grip the flat inner portion and your palm sits about halfway up the handle, parallel to the grip, but obviously not parallel to the angled handle. So as you squeeze down, not only is it harder then necessary because you're squeezing the middle of the lever instead of the end, but it also sort of forces your hand forward on the slick chromed surface of the handle. It's especially noticeable with work gloves. It takes more power then it should and it causes rubbing on your hand, resulting in sore hands and even blisters after extended use (I got blisters from the upholstery project, though it did take about 2000 staples). It's not super hard, but it could easily be better.
Overall, I don't care how cheap it is. Who wants a staple gun that only works in super light duty applications and that jams up extremely often? Manual tools like this are thick solid steel, with only very simple moving parts, so they're going to last. You don't buy one and then toss it a year later. You ought to keep it forever, more or less. You might as well get one that will work nicely on a variety of jobs right off the bat so you don't have to either buy another one or struggle with a frustrating one for years until you give in an buy another one anyway. I give it two stars because there might be someone who honestly only needs a few dozen staples at a time in soft materials, and for that, this tool is fine. But "Heavy Duty" is just wrong.'

Spare Battery Charger - charger, charging cradle
This has nothing to do with the SPN5564 charger, but the "OEM house" that shipped my order had ZERO protection around the plastic device and sent it via US mail (naturally charging vastly overrated shipping AND handling charges - it didn't get much handling becuase it was in a baggie in a white bag with my name and being under 1/4" thick did not need more than a first class stamp.)
I'm sorry - I just don't like to see amazon go the way of ebay where profits are in the shipping/handling/making up for ebay's outrageous charges/trying to make a profit field. Yes, I know that ebay/epay fees kill sellers bigtime and I know amazon is even worse to their 3rd party sellers, so they are doing the same thing here. It's happening with these 3rd party suppliers, but hey - without them we would not have access to MOT's high quality gear because amazon refuses to stock cellphone accessories. If Amazon continues this, they need to sit down with the 3rd party shippers and ask these 3rd parties "so to ship a 1/2 oz package that is less than 1/4" thick via US mail for 42 cents, you charged 7.99? Would you mind providing an accounting of the remaining $6.57?" (all numbers fictional and all parties innocent until proven guilty)
Now A pet peeve about the product itself - although this will charge your Droid's extra battery, or your original after you upgrade for the 72 hour Seidio Innocell 2600 mAh Extended Battery for Motorola Droid which is really nice to have, it doesn't use droid's superslim usb cord but rather the old fashioned big usb to mini usb cord. Why don't I like this feature? Becaue Droid's charger runs hot at 5.1V and .8A (USB spec is 4.5 - 5.5V and minimum 500 mA, which is usually found to be 4.9V and 500 mA on most pcs, so mot cranked the numbers up to have enough power to run the phone and charge it at the same time on their ac adapters which would be nice to use for the aftermarket as well. I guess you could use a normal big usb to little usb cord and plug it into mot's hot little ac wall wart to make your own hyper charger.
Note: this charger WILL NOT charge the 2600 mAh Seidio Innocell 2600 mAh Extended Battery for Motorola Droid. It won't even turn on the red light.
A word of caution - watch out on the 3 day Droid battery discussion/review/knock out finish -- people haven't yet figured out how Droid Does battery measurements and are knocking that battery like it's a half dead china import alkaline cell when in fact I just finished 3 days on mine before recharging. I think it's actually MORE than 2600 mAh but will need to use a fixture like this product to test it on my battery analyzer. You'll see in the reviews alot of negativity both from the un-enlightened reviewiers (e.g. "this thing suks") and those who figured out how you must drain the 2600 mAh from the battery using knowledge gained from the tree of wisdom. It's not the battery's fault, it's Mot's firmware. All the ratings are either 1 or 5 stars. It's fun to watch.
So now having 2 spare batteries, I have a place to keep a hot one in the car ready to go with a 12VDC -> submini usb power cord (no cord came with this item) and that is why I bought it. Just in case I loose track of how many times I have drained the Seidio 3 day job I will always have the 12 hour factory battery to fall back on until I get home.
The charger, btw, does both the Droid's BP series battery as well as the BN/BT/and BQ series cells for whatever phones those are used in (they are much smaller so probably a small phone). There is a red transfer bar you use to setup the charger for an empty cavity where your bat will charge. To get your bat out, you flip the charger over and press on the opposite side's red block and push your battery out of the charger. Yes, it's simple, but there are people hashing it out over the 2600 mAh battery review comedy who would complain "there's no way to get your battery out once you put it in" if they weren't told about that mechanical feature. Also there is a slider that tells the charger what model battery you are charging - set it for BP for Droid cells.
This is a great way to keep your spare li-ion cells ready to run when not in Droid. I like it Genuine Motorola Droid P323 Battery Charger System
I purchased this to charge my extra battery for my Motorola Droid. When it finally arrived, all that was included was the little charging box pictured in the description. Not much of a "Charger System" without a way to connect it to electricity! I was expecting a wall unit to be included, as was listed in the product listing: (Genuine Motorola AC Wall Charger with a Micro USB connector plug with plugs into charger, is included). The technical listing for the product does now state:
Motorola Droid Stand Alone Battery Charger
Items Not Included: Travel or car chargers
Charger will also accept a Mini USB Plug providing you flexiblity
Led Indicator: Yes
(I did not expect a travel or car charger - I expect an ac adapater to provide this charger with the power needed to charge the battery)
When I originally purchased it the listing stated:
Product Features
Motorola Droid Stand Alone Battery Charger Comes with 120v Wall Charger with Micro USB Plug Charger will also accept a Mini USB Plug providing you flexiblity.
So, while I could use my phone's wall charger with this, I would be unable to charge both the phone and the spare battery simultaneously.
I've contacted the seller and am waiting for an appropriate response.
I'm not sure this is true for all sellers of this item or even if previous buyers/reviews received a power unit for this device.
It does exactly what it says in the description. No bells or whistles, just a simple charger for practically every Motorola battery ever made.
I'm not completely impressed with the design - it feels like a cheap "Made in China" toy. But, it does feel like it will hold up well, and the price was just fine. I'd buy it again if I lost it. - Spare Battery Charger - Battery - Charger - Charging Cradle'

Clean Headlights - automotive, restore
My boyfriend bought this for his 2000 CRV. His headlights were foggy and yellow and we were thinking we'd have to have them replaced all together they were so bad. So on a whim he bought this. The first one he did turned out amazing. It looked almost new. We could stand back and the difference between the two lights looked like 50 years of wear and tear. The second one turned out even better cause he knew exactly what he was doing. We used to not be able to tell we had our lights on, but now the reflective lights shine back for half a mile down the street. Rain-X Headlight Restoration Kit
A guy at O'Reilly's Auto parts recommended this over the others so I tried it. It works great. The other brands may work too but this was cheaper and I didn't have to use a drill. As far as the elbow grease mentioned in the other reviews, they must not get much exercise. It was pretty easy. I bought a 2000 Honda and I could barely see at night and now it's back to normal.
I used the Rain-X Headlight Restoration Kit on my 98 Camry, and it worked great! The lenses are clear now. It only took a few minutes per lens.
Does the sun cause the lenses to cloud up? If so, then I hope the sealer has some kind of UV protection. The sun is relentless here in Fort Worth.
This product cleared the front headlight lenses of my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee - It had yellowed so bad that it interferred with my night vision - After using this restore kit they were clear as a bell.
Love this product. We have a 1998 Honda Civic and the headlights had become extremely clouded. They were so bad that it was dangerous to drive the car at night because of the lack of light from the headlights. I decided to try this product based on product reviews and they look brand new again. My husband thought that I had replaced the headlights because they were so clear. Highly recommend this product. Worth every penny.
I have been seeing the informercials for a headlight restoration product for some time. The headlights on my 2001 Corolla had gone a bit yellow over the years. I leave for work before sunrise so I want my headlights to illuminate the road as much as possible.
My husband and I opted for the Rain-X product because we are familiar with the quality. (I have very little faith in any "As Seen on TV" products.) I was going to be the one doing the work so I was hoping it wasn't going to take a lot of elbow grease. I just finished the job and WOW! My headlights haven't looked that good for years. It took me about a half hour and I didn't have to work hard at all. I have enough product left that I could do the job again every few months if necessary.
Let me preface this by saying that my headlights weren't yellow and very degraded. Just hazy.
The Rain-X kit works very well, and they include enough of each component that you can use the kit multiple times (I can get about 4 uses from it). The downside, is if you're headlights are pretty bad you'll need the extra uses. Mine took two to get back to factory clear.
To sum: a good kit for the money and I'd highly recommend it.
I watched the youtube video before proceeding (though instructions on the package are pretty basic i figured it wouldn't hurt). It takes quite a bit of elbow grease, that's definitely true, but the results are awesome! I spent about 20min per headlight and it went from being a hazy hard to see through mess, to a crystal clear plastic cover. And there's easily enough chemicals in there for 5-6 cars (or 5-6 applications on a single car).
My headlights did not have very much haze so I was disappointed when it did not fully remove the haze after spending 30 min on each light. Granted, after using the product there is marked improvement but the haze is still glaring at me. I am going to use it a second time to see if I can further my results. I may try it will a higher grit or even use an orbital sander but I am not positive. - Cleaner - Restore - Car Care - Automotive'

Lock Set - lock set, schlage
We are very happy with these door levers. They are solid and the mechanisms are obviously well made. After I chose antique brass for my finish of choice in my new house, I discovered that it's not the most common finish available and have had to order many things online. I was hesitant to order these (I got two) because I had no real way to judge how well the closing mechanism works. I am completely satisfied with this product and would recommend it without hesitation. Schlage F40ACC619 Accent Privacy Lever, Satin Nickel
Product was well made and easy to install. It comes with both a square and rounded door plates - this eliminated any handwork when replacing my standard builders issue knobs. Took me 2-3 minutes a knob.
Best bang for my buck house upgrade yet!
I get comments on my Schlage door handles all the time. They last a long time as well, I have had mine installed for over three years and they still look brand new. These are much better than the cheapo Home Depot brand knobs.
Purchased this privacy set to replace one from another brand on which a plastic part inside the lock failed. I was very very surprised when this showed up, it is solid, the plating is solid, no plastic parts inside, and was very easy to fit. Definitely recommend this brand especially at this price.
We've had many different locksets over the years, from Kwikset to Baldwin. For the money, you cannot go wrong with these from Schlage. A very heavy feel to it and smooth operation. Antique brass has a nice shine to it and a rich tone.
I recently Installed this item on one of my bathroom doors. I had to bore a new hole in the door because we had really old tiny doorknobs before hand. I am a novice in the most literal sense. It took about an hour to bore bigger holes and install the handle set and jam. If you have a normal size door knob hole (2 3/8" or 2 1/4" or something like that) it should take you no longer 30 minutes to install this guy.
Its very nice and I highly recommend it. - Lock Set - Schlage'

Kitty Cat Jewelry - rose gold, feline
THis piece is magnificent. It is a fabulour gift for a true cat lover. Unlike other pieces i looked at that really only should be worn by a child, this piece is sophisticated and elegant with the silouette and the diamonds. Then only draw back is the chain is really too delicate for everyday wear. I gave this as a gift to my manager and she loves it. She wears the piece everyday. 14k Rose Gold Diamond Cat Pendant (1/5 cttw)
Love this sparkly kitty!
I have never owned any rose gold...until now. The cat is so pretty with the rose gold, diamonds & yellow-gold whiskers.
Although it is not a large piece, it shows up very nicely. I did, however, purchase a new rose gold box chain to replace the fine rose gold chain which comes with the pendant. I think the new chain gives the entire pendant a little more pizzazz. All of my cat-loving friends have shown great interest in this fancy feline.
This diamond kitty pendant is so pretty! It is dainty but large and sparkly enough to be seen easily! If you have been searching for an everyday necklace and you love kitties, this is FOR SURE the necklace for you!
I bought this as a treat for myself after Christmas, and I was very impressed with the quality of the necklace. It's a classy way to show your love of cats, and the diamond sparkles liven up any outfit. I've received many compliments when I wear it (and I really hate to take it off - it's become my favorite necklace!) I am extremely pleased with this purchase.
I was pleasantly surprised by the size and overall appearance of the necklace. Often you find the item is not as nice as what you'd hoped. This exceeded my expectations and I've gotten quite a few compliments.
I received this kitty as a birthday present from my beau and I love it!!!
It's not too large, not too small so it can be worn everyday. The only gripe is the chain is flimsy but that is an easy fix. I love my new kittycat :)
It is only fitting that my first piece of diamond jewelry should be a cat. It is a beautiful necklace. The rose colored gold chain and accents are lovely. It is a treasure that I will wear every day. Meow!!
I first saw this necklace in Macy's for a lot more money, so I bought it on Amazon. It is absolutely beautiful! If you like it in the picture, you'll love it even more in person! I didn't pay tax or shipping and it arrived very quickly. The only drawback is the chain is so tiny and delicate, it has to be replaced with a thicker rose gold or white gold chain. - Feline - Cat Jewelry - Hip Hop - Rose Gold'

Canon Multifunction - canon multifunction, ink cartridge
I have a Canon MP 620 printer which I think is a great device but it does tend to use a lot of ink (or maybe I just print a lot) so having the 3 pack makes it easy to be ready for when I need to.
What I've found works for me is to get the 3 pack of the PGI-220 and then the color ink (Canon 2946B004 CLI-221 4 Color Value Pack (Black/Cyan/Magenta/Yellow)) in the 4 pack and finally deal with any intermediate outages through an individual purchases.
This means I have replacements for all the ink as needed and never have to urgently get some. Canon PGI-220 Combo Pack - Triple Pack (Black)
When my old, faithful Epson printer died, I did research and upgraded to the Canon Pixma MX 860. I needed a color printer, and wanted something better for my job (I teach part time at a community college, and hand out a fair volume of paper work.) The prints from this printer are fanastic, well beyond anything I've ever printed at home.
However, the printer consumes ink like oxygen. The puny cartridges that come with this printer are tiny and rather expensive. I ran out of black within 3 weeks-with very conservative printer use during those 3 weeks! I had difficulty finding the correct replacements-due to bad serial # marketing from Canon. Turns out Amazon has clones as well as the brand name, but I had to go to Canon's website to find out that the same cartdrige size is used for the Pixma mx 980, mx 860, mp 620, and several other models. Amazon carries the clones, which are not a lot cheaper. Frys and Costco also carry the genuine brand.
I love the printer, but have purchashed a Brother HL-2140 monocolor laser printer to make test copies, black and white prints, and general documentation of bill-pay, etc. The quality of these prints is not anywhere near as nice, but the cost per copy is fantastic.
I keep the Canon printer, and ink-use, for more important print outs, or color. I would rate the ink cartridges higher if they made more copies, the copies they do make are great.
What can I say? Canon ink for a Canon printer? Of course this is a good idea. Some of the generic inks with this newest generation of printers measuring picoliters can clog up the print heads. This ink and the printers it's used in are some of the best Canon has produced. This cartridge seems to last longer than the previous printer I had that uses the CLI-8 ink. I am very pleased with the output quality of this ink.
And this is one of the best prices available for original Canon ink.
I didn't want to take any chances buying another brand (or refilled non-brand). These ink cartridges are expensive, though, and just a few changes in your print settings can double the lifespan.
When on regular print settings, I noticed the paper was saturated in ink & the cartridge used up in no time. So, I changed the printing preferences to "grayscale" and "fast printing". This uses about half the ink and looks just fine to me. In fact, I prefer it because the printed copy comes out dry instead of wet with ink (that then needs to dry and could actually smudge).
Printing in grayscale also saves the other colored inks -- especially when printing coupons or anything else that doesn't require high-quality printing. To further save on ink & avoid printing unnecessary stuff (like logos and advertising on various websites), you can change your print options to "print only the selected frame".
Lastly, when the printer tells you the ink cartridge is empty and needs to be replaced -- just press the "ok" button on the printer and keep doing so it until your ink truly does run out. I was able to print out an additional 25 pages last time.
Happy printing :-)
I was surprised at how soon the black print cartridge that came with my new Canon Pixma MP 620 ran out of ink, but was pleasantly surprised to fine the 3 pack at what appears to be a reasonable price. I must confess that when these empty, I will check on having them refilled.
JH
Basic, simple fact. In this case, buying a three pack from Amazon with free shipping offered savings. Instead of struggling to remember to bid on Ebay, or seeing $20 per single cartridge as the only option,it's easier to committ $34 for a three pack.
Canon's printer will use a cartridge up quickly. Save time and money in this case by going through Amazon. Check prices--you'll see what I mean.
Was a great deal for ink. The ink works superbly well. The only thing of notice was that when I took off the plastic that protects the ink opening, there was quite a bit of excess ink in there that needs draining off. Now that I know to look for it, I can do that without getting it on my fingers. +++
I have a Canon MX860 printer/copier/scanner. It is a great machine. It prints fast and beautifully. But, it is very generous in its use of ink. The Canon black combo pack is one way I can control my costs and avoid buying remanufactured cartridges or brand "X" ink.
We've purchased Canon printer refills from Amazon.com in the past and we will continue to do so. These multiple packs are money-saving items. As always, shipping is fast and the product works perfectly. Thanks, Amazon! - Canon Multifunction - Ink Cartridge - Ink - Pgi-220'
