Walt Disney - animation, pixar

No point in selling telling you about the movies themselves. Unless you have been living under a rock for the past couple decades you already know, or seen for yourself, these classics. Each of the three Toy Story films have or will have their own separate Blu-Ray release with a second disk in standard DVD format. So the big question is what else are you getting on this combo pack. Let me give the low down.

For one this trilogy combo pack will essentially be cheaper to get than buying the three movies separately. This is a very good thing for those of you who do not have any Toy Story Blu-Rays as this means you're coming out ahead of the rest of us who bought them separate. Also everybody's favorite talking point on this release is the inclusion of a digital copy for playing on your portables, a feature not included in the separate releases. So is that all the benefits of getting this package? Well you get a cheesy little carrying case that is pictured above, but that's pretty much it.

That's right ladies and gentlemen. No exclusive content. Three disks for each movies (Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital copy) along with a tenth disk that is likely the same supplemental disk that's included in the Toy Story 3 Blu-Ray. If you are looking for a collector's set with never-before seen footage, featurettes, outtakes, alternate endings and whatnot you won't find it here. However if you don't have any of the previous disks you will get a pretty sweet price, and for those moaning about digital copies you will get that too. Oh yeah... and the toy box "collector's" case. Toy Story Ultimate Toy Box Collection (Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy)

The Toy Story trilogy is amazing, as most would suspect. However the 3-star rating given to this product is NOT because of the movies, it is for the sub-par packaging they come in. For such a lucrative franchise I expected much more. The "toy box" design is certainly cool, keeping with the theme of Toy Story, but the disks sit inside a styrofoam container with little room to grab each disk. The flimsy quality of the actual toy box could be an issue in the making as I am not certain it will last that long. I wouldn't recommend leaving this for little ones to play with or use, in stead take out the disks and place them in slim jewel cases or possibly buy the 3-disk trilogy instead.

This is a case of having a great idea but being too lazy to execute it and give the best product worthy of the word ultimate.

- blu-ray discs, check

- dvds, check

- digital codes, check

- toy box, sturdy cardboard box. It's nice and for the price of the trilogy I won't complain

what I will complain about is the fact that the disc are not in jewel cases or circular plastic cases. The discs are placed in a piece of black foam. Nothing really special, just slots in the foam for each and every discs. You know what this is called? It's called lazy production value.

don't buy this product, you are better off just buying a combo pack sometime down the line. The Mediocre Toy Story Collection is not worth your money and is not worthy of these great films

I pre-ordered, since I loved the first movie as a child, and my wife, child and I loved the 3rd movie this summer (his recent birthday party was Toy Story themed). However, I want to know, what gives?!? These are children's movies, and they don't give better protection than the discs sitting in foam in a cardboard box? No individual protection, so this set will have to stay out of my child's reach, or I know I'll find an assortment of discs lying around my living room floor. The foam appears to have been made quite lazily, as a couple of the discs don't even sit right. It would've also been nicer if they had either labelled the area where each disc goes or staggered them differently. With the small spacing between discs, it's difficult to select a disc without smudging the others around it, at least if you have fat fingers like yours truly. Also, for an "ultimate" edition, there appears to be a severe lack of special features discs. I guess this is why the price dropped several times before release? I'm pretty sure this is the worst Pixar product I've seen...

If you buy all three Toy Story Bluray/DVDs, it's $65.47. You don't get digital copies of Toy Story 1 and 2, but you get cases for all three movies if you buy individually. The box set does not have any additional content so you're paying $15 for packaging and 2 digital copies...and no disc cases.

I don't typically write reviews, unless I am either overly thrilled with the purchase, or greatly disappointed. Unfortunately, this case is the latter.

The packaging is an absolute injustice for a trilogy of this caliber. Given the quality of all three movies and their popularity, I expected the royal treatment with this box set. What we get instead is cheap black foam that I can already see is leaving a fine residue on the discs as I remove/insert the discs. It is difficult to find the disc that you want to see, since the discs are packaged close together in line -- In order to find a particular disc, you need to remove several until you find the one you want. Also, there is no way to take the discs out or reinsert them without feeling like you will eventually damage them.

My recommendation -- spend the extra $10 and buy the movies individually. I wish I had.

I must say that I am disappointed at Disney for releasing a product in this manner. Here is a breakdown of the rating:

Movie - *****

Packaging - *

There are two primary groups this set appeals to, in my opinion:

Collectors ...

... but this is extremely impractical from the storage standpoint. The packaging takes approximately 4 times the storage space of 3 combo packs of this movie on a library shelf. The missing bonus materials content from The Ultimate Toy Box DVD set makes it even more difficult to justify the amount of space it takes up.

Parents ...

... that want all three movies playable on DVD, Bluray, or Digital Format. Since there are no real content frills added to the normal combo pack set of discs, the scenario that some parents prefer to have "one packaging" for all three movies instead of three separate media packs for frequent playback should be considered. On that end, the cheap cardboard packaging will not suffice. It not only will fall apart over a short period of time, but the way the discs are inserted lends themselves to be easily smudged and scratched by the young.

Content of the Set - ***

The content of the set did not include the previous Toy Story Ultimate Box Set DVD features, which is extremely disappoint given that I intended to replace the DVD box set with this but now I have to reconsider. You can find out what is missing by reading the reviews on that set. If it wasn't for the inclusion of the 2 digital copies of the first two Toy Stories, I would have rated it 2 stars.

Conclusion:

Buy it if you do not have kids handling the discs themselves and you do not already own The Ultimate Box Set from the previous release and don't care about the extra materials.

For those that have The Ultimate Box set, I would recommend simply buying the Blu-ray versions of Toy Story 3 for now and wait for the 3D version and perhaps then, Disney will come to its senses and release all three films in an all-inclusive "Toy Box" with EVERYTHING. (We can only hope.)

Since this review is more specifically about this "set," I have given more weight to it than the actual movies themselves. - Animation - Pixar - Disney - Blu-ray'

Duracell - bulk, d batteries

If you have seen the television ads where Duracell advertises that NASA uses their batteries and shake your head in disbelief you are partially right and partially wrong. The Procell battery is exactly the battery that NASA uses for their applications in space and on the ground, not the coppertop or the ultra. These batteries are professional, top of the line disposable batteries that hold their charge longer and can survive more extreme temperature changes than any retail store bought battery. They are also IDEAL for flashlights as they will put out a much brighter light than anything else that can be bought in stores. Highly recommended! DURACELL D12 PROCELL Professional Alkaline Battery

These Procell batteries are very long lasting and I did a price comparison and it is the best bang for your buck. They advertise a 5 year shelf life that I cannot speak to. They come packed very well from the factory in heavy boxes that will hold up well until you use all of them. I highly recommend this battery due to the fact it is long lasting is a very good buy. Thank you Amazon for a win win situation for customers. For my money you cannot buy a better battery and it comes in all the popular sizes,AA,AAA,C,D and 9 volt. I use all of them. I have read on the internet this is the only battery that NASA will use do to its reliability.

I am not sure who the rater was who said Duracell is not affiliated with Duracell Procell batteries, but I went to their website, hit the professional button at the top and came to the website discussing all the advantages of this battery, linked right from the coppertop page.

Anyway, we have a lot of gamers and these batteries seem to hold up well and since we go through a lot of them during marathon playing, the reasonable price makes them a ready shelf item over the ones that are twice the cost. Rechargeables just didn't seem to do the trick. They seemed to last shorter and shorter times, and the price to replace too high.

Good choice for the price, and Amazon Prime shipping too!

I was a bit concerned after reading reports of tattered packaging and roughed-up batteries. The box of Procell D's that I received was sealed and in good shape. The batteries were dated March 2017 and all looked new. A small corner dent on the product box appeared to have been due to the box flopping around inside the shipping box with some other items. I also bought some Procell AA batteries at the same time. The AAs were in a sealed box and in good shape. I would recommend this Amazon partner for good products and very competitive pricing. I will buy from them again.

I order a box of these batteries since I have used them before and they have always worked great. When I received them they had a parts number label on them from a completely different vendor (Grainger) attached to them and the box had been opened and repacked. So far these batteries have perfromed just as well as every other Duracell battery but I was not happy with the fact that I know the item had been on a self at another company before being sold here.

These batteries last longer than any other battery I've used. They were used in my twins' swing. This swing gets very heavily used, probably close to 6 or 8 hours a day! With these batteries the swing was able to function for at least two weeks (probably closer to three, but I don't remember the exact date I put them in). Other D batteries in the swing have lasted barely a week with our usage. They're worth the price if you ask me!

I placed an order despite the number of bad reviews for battered boxes and dead batteries and received my order in new-looking condition with an unbroken "Ready to ship - Fullfilled by Amazon" sticker seal on the box. The batteries seemed to be as fully charged as the ones I bought at the hardware store. No complaints.

I don't care if the boxes were opened or sealed, these are professional use batteries, the shelf life is for like mar 2016 on the two boxes I purchased, If you went out and bought these at a store they would be very expensive, as normal, amazon does a better than average job shipping. a box in a box.

Hands down - the best battery you can buy is the Duracell ProCell. They have an incredable storage life. Great for emergency kit in the basement. Good power that seems more consistant and lasts longer then the regular Duracell. - Alkaline Batteries - D Batteries - Bulk - Duracell'

Monoculture - evil, food

"Food, Inc." does more than serve as an exposé on the United States food industry--it connects the dots between the nefarious, contemptuous business practices of multinational corporations and their best friends, the compromised government regulatory agencies such as the USDA, FDA, and EPA, who have in the past been led by folks well connected within the very industries they are supposed to regulate.

But let's hold on a minute. Filmmaker Robert Kenner's documentary could have been just a dour, paranoid investigative piece and still told the truth. Instead, Mr. Kenner has made a colorful, fast-paced, and well-documented account of the state of the food supply in our country; the unintended consequences of the efficiencies, short-cuts, and technological methods inherent in factory farming; the insidious insider relationship between the meat industry and the agencies that should be regulating it; and the health effects, including diabetes, of consuming processed foods and fast foods.

Naturally, the culprits behind the curtain (e.g., Smithfield, Monsanto, Perdue) would not appear on camera, not because they are cowards but precisely because they are so powerfully connected, and have legions of lawyers and enforcers (yes, like any bully, these outfits do use intimidation), and are moving to control free speech and criticism of their practices.

The counterbalance to the doom and gloom comes from interview with small farmers; with entrepreneurs in the organic food business; with the brave folks who have tried to make a stand against the food industry; and with those experts who are striving to be modern day Paul Reveres in the face of mass indifference.

Kenner uses photography and imagery to make his points, and he interlaces this film with scenes of amazing beauty and graphic cruelty. "Food, Inc." is not an easy film to watch, and it should not be. Kenner uses the final frames to deliver some to-do's for those who want to respond to the film not just in conversation but through action. As trite as it sounds, if you can only see one movie this year, go to this one. (When the negative review start cropping up for this movie, it would be interesting to see how many of those are from food industry insiders and their minions.) Food Inc.

How many times do we have to see horror stories about how our food, the food we eat, the food that goes into our bodies is handled, before we stand up and do something about it? Apparently, many because we still haven't done anything.

"Food, Inc.", directed by Robert Kenner, and co-produced by Eric Schlosser (writer of "Fast Food Nation") and Michael Pollan (writer of "The Omnivore's Dilemma), takes an in depth view at a handful of various problems with the food industry in our country. Presented in "Chapters", Schlosser or Pollan introduce the various segments leading into a series of graphics, interviews, archival and hidden camera footage and more all of which illustrates the problems we are facing.

Did you know that Chickens have been engineered to grow faster and larger, in order to produce more breast meat? The companies who provide us with chicken realized a while back that we prefer white meat. When a customer prefers something, it is more efficient to grow what the customer wants. White meat is also more expensive, so it is a win-win situation for these companies to fulfill our needs and wants. But what about the dark meat? The result? Engineered chickens ready for slaughter faster and yielding more white meat. But it also results in chickens with no flavor that are grown in very inhumane conditions. Most never see sunlight and can't walk for very long because their internal organs can't keep up with the growth of their bodies.

For many years, corn farmers have lobbied lawmakers for protection and subsidies, and this has created an overwhelming abundance of corn. Because there is so much of the grain, scientists have worked out many ways to use the abundant staple, to prevent wasting it, and to maximize profits. One of these, high fructose corn syrup, is now in a majority of the items we consume. But they also decided to start feeding the corn to cattle animals that are supposed to eat grass. There is a by-product of this new practice; e-coli bacteria. When the cattle eat this feed, they have a higher chance of creating the bacteria. And the fact they are contained in small lots, with barely enough room to move around, standing knee deep in their own feces for hours every day, doesn't help the situation.

Why do we raise the majority of the cattle in this country in such a fashion? Because the fast food industry (McDonalds purchases the most ground beef in the world) wants cheap beef. If they can feed the cattle more cheaply, those savings are passed on to the large chains and are then passed on to the consumer through "Dollar" and "Value" menus.

These are just two of the stories the film follows in detail. Providing a lot of information, the filmmakers connect the dots to illustrate why our food production system is in need of some drastic changes.

If we don't change it, we are going to continue to get sick, some of us will continue to die. And it is all preventable.

Why do we allow it to continue? A handful of very large companies control all of the production of our processed foods. They lobby Congress and the Senate, getting the lawmakers to protect them. They don't have to do anything about it. When there is an outbreak, they make some minor changes, but as we saw from the E-Coli outbreak in hamburger, it happened a few times and will no doubt happen again.

People are getting the message. Organic foods, farmer's markets and grocery chains like Whole Foods are becoming more and more prevalent popping up to meet the needs of a growing, more selective clientele.

Are you getting the message?

Or do you still want that hamburger that only costs $1? - Evil - Monsanto - Food - Organic'

Headset - telephone, telephone headset

Don't bother with the fancier models of the Panasonic headsets. This bare-bones model has all you need. So it doesn't have volume adjustment or a mute button. Who cares? Your phone should already have those features. Besides, that redundancy would weigh down the entire unit. Also, this headset is very inexpensive to own, so those unnecessary features would drive up the price, which would not be a good thing. If you own a Panasonic cordless phone, this headset works best with these phones. I own many Plantronics-brand headsets, which are excellent on my cell phone, but horrible on my Panasonic cordless phone. Callers constantly complain that I sound very far away. But then I bought this Panasonic-brand headset and callers hear me very clearly. Ordinarily, I'd be annoyed at having had to buy an additional headset for my Panasonic phone, but it was so cheap that I really don't mind. Now I've got an extra headset that I can use in my car! An added bonus is that this Panasonic also works really well with my cell phone, so if I had to choose one, I'd ditch my more more expensive Plantronics headset since that only works well on the cell. But, it's important to note that the Panasonic headset is not that portable so I'm not throwing away anything just yet. Panasonic KX-TCA60 Hands-Free Headset with Comfort Fit Headband

Excellent reception on my end, and the folks on the other end always say I sound loud and clear. What more could you want? Oh yeah, it's very comfortable too! Believe me, I've tried lots of headsets, and the quality on this Panny set blows away every other one I've tried -- and the price/value ratio is just off the charts.

I just ordered my sixth set. I use them on my home cordless phones and on my cellphones. I've given a couple away to friends, like the gideons give away bibles -- because I'm a true believer! I keep two in the house (one for each cordless phone -- makes for some awesome conference calls) and one in the car for the cellphone, and one for a spare just in case, because I don't want to live without them!

Honestly, I'd gladly pay $40 for a set this quality. To get it at this price makes me believe that all may be right in the universe after all.

I am using mine with a GE 26977GE6 phone, which came with a somewhat uncomfortable street-style headset. The Panasonic KX-TCA60 headset is much louder and clearer. I did not realize how poor the stock headset was until I tried these Panasonics. My only problem with these is that the volume is a bit too loud, even at the lowest phone volume. Otherwise, this headset is great.

Update May 2009:

After many years I'm still using these. A couple have broken on me with no easy way to fix them, but they are cheap enough to be considered a disposable product. These days I have a second pair on standby because I'm pretty sure I'll snap the headband on my current pair eventually.

This headset sounds good but breaks very easily. Some other Panasonic models share this "feature". Mine worked well for a couple of weeks and then the mic went out (I can hear people b ut they can't hear me). Other people have explained that if you rotate the microphone it puts stress on the wires inside and can cause them to break. Four stars for sound quality, one star for durability.

Bottom line -- it sounds good for the money but don't swivel the mic!

I wrote the review below. I tried the Panasonic model KX-TCA86 headset (which is more expensive) and found it to have lower sound quality than the KX-TCA60. I am very particular about sound quality as I am a sound engineer. I can assure you that the KX-TCA60 is one of the best sounding headsets around. Another reviewer complained about the size of the microphone and wind-screen. I find it acceptable and it is probably one of the main reasons this headset sounds good. (In general microphones with bigger diaphragms sound better.)For the price this headset is very hard to beat, if not impossible. If it breaks you're out ~$10. Big deal, buy another one. You could buy several and still spend less money than a fancier headset that probably doesn't sound as good.

I am very particular about headsets. This Panasonic headset has been my favorite headset ever, and I own at least 13 headsets (really). Unfortunately, mine developed a bad/intermittent contact somewhere, but I go through headsets like bottled water (only 6 of mine work). I bought another because I couldn't stand using my 'backups' anymore. I recommended it to 2 friends, and theirs are going strong, but they use theirs less. I use my headsets hard, often hours a day.

The leatherette earpad is comfortable, and will not wear out & need to be replaced like foam covers will. This one has a good-length boom and mic gain. People don't say, "What? Talk louder." with this headset, and they like the way my voice sounds; in fact, I believe it is the same mic element in my older high-end (nice-sounding) KX-TC series Panasonic phone, because people can't tell a difference when I switch over. Receiving sound is also very good; not too weak or too strong, but if I had to choose, a little on the stronger/efficient side, which most people prefer.

The headset doesn't feel delicate, but I guess it is, or at least some internal wiring is, as poor durability is reported. It's not an excuse, but you ~could~ buy 2 or 3 of these for the same price as more expensive models (even Panasonic) and still not get a headset as good-sounding or as comfortable.

I have ruined headsets by rotating the mic to get it pointed more towards my mouth (I don't mean bending the boom). Don't do that. If you pull off the foam windscreen, you will notice that the mic is at a 45 deg angle when it is facing your mouth. This is actually proper from a sound engineering aspect.

Everything which makes this headset larger, 'clunkier', 'mid school', 'unattractive', or 'uncool', or its lack of collapsibility serves to your advantage for good sound and comfort. Due to its size, it's not ideal to bring along for cellphone use, but if you do, while you have it on, you will be well-served.

Like the previous reviewer, I have used/owned Plantronics (not Panasonic) headsets and they do not work well in my Panasonic and other home phones. The (Plantronics--I've used 3) mics simply do not produce enough gain, and the booms do not come out far enough to the mouth. So I use them as backups. Plantronics used to be the expensive quality leader, but their quality seems to have suffered in recent years, and prices remain high. Panasonic has been the only brand to consistently do right by me on many products.

Amzn price on this item fluctuates. Anything in the low tens is a great price online, anything in the mid tens is the best price you'll see in a store, and the high tens is typical store price.

This has a 2.5mm mini-plug for use in cell and home phones, not computer sound cards. Headsets are made in China, like everything else we depend on. - Telephone - Panasonic Headset - Telephone Headset - Hands Free'

Iphone 4 - screen protector

I agree completely w/ what the reviewer before me said --- The bubbles on this thing do not go away no matter what you do. I ended up trying all three in the pack and on the third and final try it took me forever to get it as clean as I could. Even then, there were still 3 little bubble areas, albeit on the corners. That withstanding, it distorts the iPhone's beautiful screen quality. Don't waste your money on this junk. Halo Screen Protector Film Clear Matte (Anti-Glare) for iPhone 4G 4 (3-Pack) - Premium Japanese Screen Protectors

I won't base my rating on the application of the protector; no matter which you buy it's always a delicate operation on trying to get any protector on with no bubbles. My problem is the haze or "anti-glare" quality of the protector; it dulls the quality of the iPhone screen and as a result makes everything look dull, blurry and hazy. I immediately purchased what I had before, the Belkin product. If you care about how everything looks on the screen, I would stay away from this product.

I tried smoothing out the air bubbles with a micro fiber cloth and credit card. No way in hell they're coming out. Cutouts don't line up perfectly. stick with zagg's invisible shield or moshimonde's screen protector instead.

I found these fairly easy to apply bubble-free, the best way being to bow the film slightly by holding it between my thumb and fingers, touching one edge to the phone and letting it fall in place naturally. Of course it will distort the image slightly; that's the price you pay for no glare screens.

Like all screen protectors, these are not very compatible with hard cases that slide on the phone, although you can trim them to fit.

I managed to successfully apply the shield after two attempts. There were some bubbles that appeared but I managed to smooth them out with a stiff card. The material the shield is made of is a nice matte than cleans easily. However, it does tend to pick up smudges quite frequently. I find myself cleaning it almost everyday just so I can read with the smudges in my screen. The anti-glare works very well and the shield does not dim the screen much. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product and the price.

I've bought every brand (Onions, Power Support, Case, Phone Devil), I am super picky and I appreciate the nuances and quality of each: but, these are what you want! Just the right price. There's three and each is detail packages with it's own cleaner. All anti-glare protectors haze a little, but these actually enhance the color and feel. If you want to throw money elsewhere; I wouldn't doing recommend it.

I am extremely particular when it comes to things I buy and protecting them so they last. When I first bought my iPhone 4 I covered the back and front with another manufacturers screen protector and while it was good, I was never 100% satisfied with the smudges that constantly stayed on the screen, an especially problematic issue since I have oily fingers. This screen protector is amazing, more oleophobic than the iPhone glass and I like the matte finish. Installation was simple. No bubbles, no issues. I also wore gloves when installing the screen protector and used "the shower method". I now have two extra screen protectors. Can't beat this for about $2.33 per screen. - Screen Protector'

Emergency Supplies - weather radio, crank radio

This radio is a great little investment. It does exactly everything it states it should. On a 60 second crank I got hours of play. I ran the radio completely dead by leaving the light on and the radio playing at half column. I let the radio play like this with the light on for at least an hour before it went dead. I then put it out in the sun and let it charge with the solar charger for about four hours and then turned the radio on and let it play for only about an hour and then just didn't want to complete the experiment. I am very pleased with this radio. 60 seconds of cranking for hours of play is very reasonable. Letting it charge out in the sun and getting hours of play is very reasonable. I have other brands like this in the past that you would crank for 5 to 10 and get maybe 10 minutes of play. Etón FR160B Microlink Self-Powered AM/FM/NOAA Weather Radio with Flashlight, Solar Power and Cell Phone Charger (Black)

I read numerous reviews about this product and had concerns re: people's feedback -- quality, lack of A/C power adapter, time/effort to recharge a cell phone, USB charger which is useless when there's no power, etc. But I decided to buy one just because I've got a young family and it's my responsibility [gulp] to be at least minimally prepared. You got to admit that these storms in recent years (not to mention tornados, earthquakes, fires, and other disasters that occur constantly) demonstrate that help may take days or weeks to arrive. That's a long time when you remember that lights, ATM's, radios, etc don't work when bad things happen.

So I pulled the trigger w/ low expectations and am I glad I did. These FR-160's are ideal for their purpose: they provide basic lighting & communication (read: radio/weather) in case of emergency. The quality was shockingly good for only $30. And they're small -- pretend your hand is in a mitten and subtract your thumb...about that size. They're not meant to provide music for a party so don't expect it amazing quality sound. They're not designed to be used on the ocean as your boat's only radio. Don't drop it off a cliff and expect it to be good as new. They're designed to be a compact combination radio/flashlight that can be a lifesaver if you ever need it.

Keep safe...

This is truly a phenomenal product. Everything works as described, including the cell phone charging which can be quite a boon when going away from electricity - abroad, to other countries, or hiking/camping/backpacking.

The light - powerful halogen type LEDs that power the device, as strong as a good bike light. Battery can be charged via solar or hand crank. Three to five minutes of hand crank has given me over two hours of battery life, and still no sign of dying battery. That's quite a great find for people who need a flashlight all the time like I do.

The radio - a bit weak with the speakers, but works. Includes a weather band. A bit of a blah item, especially since the dials pop off all the time.

The charger - Great little device. Can charge all your Apple iPod products, including bluetooth headsets, and your iPhone. A big reason I waited for the next gen Eton charger was for the iPhone charging...really great and works well. Charge your iPhone, iPhone 3G (and probably the new 3GS).

Well worth $30

This radio is an excellent radio for the price. No, it is not a top-end emergency radio, but it should work rather well for anyone looking for a basic AM/FM/Weather radio with both a solar and hand-crank charging option. I purchased mine about a year ago and used it only occasionally for the first few months. Then I placed it on a shelf with limited light and there it sat for about six to eight months. About six weeks ago I dusted it off and it actually worked for about an hour or so with no hand-crank charging. Later that day I sat it in the front window where it would get plenty of direct sun light. A couple days later I picked it up from the window and have been using it a few hours each day since; some of those days it was used for more than six hours in the basement. I have not needed to crank it at all, but did crank charge it for about one minute total just while playing with it - for the record. Since then, I have been keeping it on the shelf out in the open where it is exposed to normal room daylight, no direct sunlight. The charging light does not light up in this setting, and I would not expect it to. I have occasionally taken it out on the front porch to sit a listen where there is direct sunlight, but only for about an hour or so each week. I really like the idea of not having to buy batteries, and the convenience of knowing I always have a charged radio.

The flashlight is minimal, but I would not expect more from an LED light source. I have my 6-D-Cell Mag light if I need a powerful (luxury) light source.

Tuning the radio is a bit sensitive and can be difficult to fine tune. I would consider this to be a SIGNIFICANT problem for an elderly person or anyone without the use of fine motor skills in their hands; but for me it is a minor hassle I am willing and able to deal with. I have considered getting the Eaton FR600 for its digital tuner. The reviews for that model suggest the battery life is pretty bad, so I have decided to wait for an improved model. For now, my FR160 is just fine. I would consider giving this 5-stars if the fine-tuning was much easier.

The USB charge does work, but know that it will not charge an iPhone 3Gs. This is more a problem/restriction of the iPhone 3Gs (a widely discussed complaint across the Internet for many-many generic charging devices) and is not because of the radio. Charging my old Samsung phone was not a problem.

The weather bands do pick up a signal, but to be absolutely honest, I have not used it much to provide any real opinion.

The hand-crank charger feels solid enough (I wouldn't abuse it) and tucks away securely when not used. I have found the manual crank-charger will provide about 25-30 minutes of radio time (at about 1/4 to 1/3 volume) for every minute of crank-charging. I average about 2 cranks per second or about 120 rotation per minute. Now I just count to 120 or so instead of watching the clock. This play-time per craink-time yeild has been very acceptable for me. After two minutes of crank-charging my hand does begins to tire a little, but just a little. If I leave the radio in a place with good direct sunlight when not using it, changing via the crank is never even needed.

In short, it works for what I want - a radio that that can be charged by sunlight or by hand-crank when absolutely necessary. If you want the construction and feature-set of a $100+ radio - buy a $100+ radio. But, for $30 (or less), I am pleased with the FR160. - Crank Radio - Emergency Supplies - Emergency Light - Weather Radio'

Drive Enclosures - enclosure, drive enclosures

I bought this hard drive enclosure to put my original 120GB hard drive in from my new PS3 slim after upgrading it to a 500GB and it did the job perfectly, I couldn't be happier. It was really easy to install, the screws were small but nowhere near the 'eyeglasses' size like I have read comes with other enclosures and the hard drive fits snugly with rails on each side so it won't be shaking around. When you plug it in the light turns bright blue and it comes with a USB cord so all you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and you are ready to go. The design of the enclosure is very sleek and simple. I love the way it looks. The outside is solid black aluminum, with no logos or anything, just a sticker that says Acomdata and has the Serial Number and other things like that; both ends are silver plastic and easy to remove. Why pay more for something when this does just as good as any other and looks great as well? Acomdata USB 2.0 2.5-Inch SATA Hard Disk Enclosure HDEXXUP-240-BLK (Black)

Amazon is recommending the purchase of this external case for use with the WD Scorpio Blue 1TB hard drive. It will NOT fit the drive. Otherwise, the construction is simple and efficient. Shame on you, Amazon!

I bought this to house the 160 GB SATAII drive that originally came in my MacBook, when I put a larger 320 GB drive in. This minimalistic case is solid metal, attractive in its plainness, devoid of externalities save a micro-USB jack and activity light, and was extremely easy to install the drive into, and trouble-free in 2 months (so far) of use. The case is small and without any parts jutting out, so its a natural for shirt-pocket transport, and slides easily into a variety of pockets in a variety of laptop cases I use. All told, a very satisfying, positive experience, no bad surprise here.

CAVEAT: Some reviewers have complained about difficulties with the small screws that hold the case together/closed. Yes, they are very small screws. If you are someone not accustomed to working with small fasteners/parts, just be careful, and borrow a #0 or #00 Phillips-head screwdriver if necessary. And everyone, geek and non-geek alike, should install their HDD on a tray/sheet or some other surface where the screw(s) won't be lost if you goof the first time. In general I always do this, even when the parts are not tiny, and I don't lose parts anymore as a result. Take these common sense precautions and this model will present no real problem, and you will be pleased with the result.

This was a great bargain to replace an external hard drive case for a family member. He'd knocked his old drive off his makeshift desk (he was on a school trip to Chile) and messed the port up on his old one. We bought this one so we could get his old one (that had movies and pictures of his travels) fixed before he leaves for Africa at the end of the month. It was packaged very well, arrived promptly and was a breeze to install. It literally took the hubby longer to get the old case off than to put this new one on. We tested it on my computer to make sure that we didn't lose anything and it worked perfectly. It was a great, quick, and easy solution to the cheap beat-up case that the original hard-drive came in. We'll definitely buy another one of these in the future if we need one for ours or if he (god-forbid) messes this one up while traveling.

I likes the hard disk case. It is metal and looks sturdy. It has two USB inputs, this makes it faster than the ones with a single. It was easy to use. You might also want to buy miniature screw driver for it. It was one of my wisest buys at Amazon.

I have been using it for about a month and its been working fine.

Below is my original review... Apparently PlayStation partitions the entire drive and when you plug ANY PS3 drive into a PC it doesn't show up because it's completely partitioned and there technically is NO drive to be read by your windows or mac formats... quick and easy fix!

Go to "Control Pannel" and open up "Administrative Tools"

Open the "Computer Management" shortcut here and when is opens find "Disk Management" on the left side under storage. Click "DisK Management" and you will see your main hard drive which is usually "disk 0" your PS3 or other unrecognized hard drive will be one of the others "disk 1, disk 2, disk 3" From here, Figure out which disk is the hard drive you are trying to get open. Once your figure out which disk it is [right] click the SMALL disk icon RIGHT NEXT to the disk name (disk 1, disk 2 or disk 3) and select initialize. After you have done that right click on the partition to change it or remove it completely and then you will be able to use the drive as you please....

Hope this review helps some people! SORRY for the initial bad review... FIVE STARS, GREAT PRODUCT!!!

Environmentally Friendly - cross cut shredder, paper shredder

I agree with most other reviewers of this product. These bags are vastly *inferior* to the bags which ship with the shredder. I also contacted Fellowes, and they said that the bags which ship with the unit are unavailable for purchase. These inferior bags are the only bags they sell. This is unfortunate, because the shredder is first quality, and the are blemishing the Fellowes brand by selling inferior bags.

I should have read the reviews before I purchased these bags, as I would have looked elsewhere. I was told by Fellowes that the # 36053 (not sold by Amazon) bags are slightly thicker and larger but still not nearly as good as the bags which ship with the unit.

Overall I am disappointed in the response of Fellowes. In this difficult economy one would hope they would be interested in both (a) earning more money and (b) responding to customer complaints by selling a better product. Fellowes Powershred Waste Bags for Personal Shredders - 100 Bags

They fit the shredder, and it's really great to not have to empty the basket by turning it upside down, then pulling off all the little bits of cofetti that stuck.

It would be nice if the bags fit more snugly -- the top kind of hangs out of the basket, and doesn't look all that neat -- but they are cheap plastic bags, after all.

There's absolutely no reason to pay $27 for 100 bags, when you can just use the cheap clear plastic office wastebasket liners (7 to 10 gallon) that sell for $18 for *500* at Costco, Sam's Club, etc. I just finished a major shredding job with my Fellowes DMC12, and used many of those.

These bags are extremely thin and rip just trying to open the bag. Not even good enough for a trash can, no less a shredder basket. I switched back to just normal trash bags after just using 2 bags because they only ripped opened and then I had to use another bag anyway.

These bags neither fit nor hold up well...in fact, they are pricey and useless. Just buy garbage bags and forgo the "Fellows" price gouging.Fellowes Powershred Waste Bags for Personal Shredders - 100 Bags In fact, although the Fellowes shredder is excellent, if all I knew about Fellowes was based upon their name upon these flimsy and overpriced plastic bags, I'd not purchase anything from them! - Fellowes - Shredder - Paper Shredder - Cross Cut Shredder'

Covers

this is the second case that I ordered because I misplaced the top side of mine first one. This case fits perfect for the EVO shift phones. Only thing is that you have to make sure that you put it on and snap it well. It'll be on and seem like it's secure, but the minute you try to slide phone to use keyboard it comes off. It is awesome case. You still have the effect of phone without any covering and it looks amazing. I would recommend anyone with this phone, and who doesn't want all the flashy cases, but suttle protection to purchase one of these. Clear Protector Case for HTC EVO Shift 4G

This phone protector worked great for a week or so then because I had to remove the mini sd card the removal of the case became necessary. The case failed to hold its rigidity after being removed from the phone. One of the plastic mechanisms that grabs the side of the phone rubbed down to the point that the case only held on three sides.

it's not the best looking case out there, but it works when you drop your phone. And after a couple drops - it breaks, but your phone doesn't.

I'm rough on my phone, so I go through cases quick. For this price, it doesn't bother me. Sprint's cases break just as fast.

Not much to it, its a phone case. It does what its made to do & quite well, especially for the low price. One thing I really like is that this case makes the slide feature of the phone lock a little more securely.'

I bought these western slides a few months back and I love, love, love, them.

Remote Speakers

This is a great product and works awesome. I am a truck driver and use it every day and had no complaints from callers. I have both my personal cell phone and company phone connected to this device and it works awesome. When one rings it automatically disconnects the other. When call is ended it reconnects to the other phone. I will never use a in the ear blue tooth ever again. Jabra Bluetooth Speakerphone Car Kit (Black) [Frustration Free Packaging]

Didn't want to jump the gun on this. Been using this product for 3 months now. Battery life is still excellent, and when I tell people I'm on a speakerphone, they can't believe it.

Highly recommended.

It isn't the best speakerphone I've ever used, but if you can live with some noise on the call it's the best speakerphone you can buy. It's inexpensive and it just works. And let's face it, you're going to use this in the car, so there's going to be noise anyway. My only complaint is that it could use more than 1 button. Like maybe a hangup button for all those times I screw up a command and want to quickly abort the call. The multiple functions with 1 buttons is not very intuitive.

I've tried 3 or 4 Bluetooth speaker phones and all but this one were sent back. The problem with most of them is that most of my driving is on the freeway and with that type of road noise my callers could not understand what I was saying and I couldn't hear them because the volume could not go loud enough. I tried the type that transmits to an AM channel to the car radio, but as I traveled from town to town it would stop working because the channel it was using would work fine in one town, but the next town would have a radio station using that frequency and the speaker phone would quit working until I reset it for a different AM station. This one has enough volume for me to hear my callers and the noise cancellation seams to be good enough for my callers to understand what I'm saying. I can't say that the sound quality is as good as both my callers and I would like, but it's usable so I guess I'll keep this one because the Bluetooth headsets I've tried including the Plantronics Voyager fall off my ear all the time. Shipping Supplies - mailing labels, shipping supplies

I've seen reviews elsewhere stating labels are transparent. VERY LITTLE transparency, I use them on USPS Priority Mail boxes and NO transparancy shows through that is going to affect anything, and it is not noticable unless you look for it. That is a HIGH contrast box as well. I almost did not buy this product because of the transparency issues stated, I am glad I did not listen. I am using them for mailing lables, product indgrediant and information labels. 600 Half Sheet Shipping Labels Laser/Inkjet USPS UPS Fedex

Item arrived just as described. I do some businesses on eBay, and ship out on average 5 packages per day using click-to-ship via US Postal Service. The labels are very sticky, and do not come off easily, if at all. In fact, there were a few times when I had the label on a little bit crooked, and wanted to remove it right away, but the label will not come off without being ripped (a good thing). I highly recommend it for the quality + price.

As usual, I was hunting around for a great price on shipping labels. Where was the best price? Right here on Amazon! The price was right, shipping was FREE and delivery came first thing in the morning. I ordered the labels on a Friday afternoon and they arrived Tuesday morning. Service like this and a quality product requires REPEAT purchases!!!

These labels are extremely low quality. Super thin, do not stick. If I wanted to use glue and tape to protect/adhere labels I wouldn't have spent money on labels-- would have just used plain paper. Not recommended. Guess you get what you pay for.

I have used thousands of labels. I believe this order of 600 1/2 sheet shipping labels, are by far the best quality best price and most of all best service I have found to date. I highly recommend this product but most of all the seller is a 5 star seller in my book.

I like these labels. They are a complete half sheet, and a little harder to peel off than others, but I like the fact that they do not curl at the edges as others seem to. Thus they print easily and do not get "stuck" in the printer as the other ones sometimes did. Thanks!!

These labels are terrible. If you apply them to regular cardboard boxes, they will come unstuck within 10 minutes. They literally curl away from the box. Maybe they will work on a glossy cardboard box, but not standard cardboard.

UPS gives good labels away for free, as long as you use them for UPS shipments. you will need an account to order.

These labels are low to medium grade quality, but they definitely serve their purpose. I have not had any problems with them. I ship items on a daily basis and would definitely purchase these labels again. I highly recommend them to anyone who is not looking for high quality labels, but wants a product that is cost efficient and effective. Good product! A+++

Cheap and low quality. After placing on shipping boxes, the label gets all wrinkled. The paper is thin and the glue stickiness is low. I have tried other labels, they were more expensive and better quality. - Shipping Supplies - Ups - Mailing Labels - Shipping Labels'

Mytouch 4g - mytouch 4g, tmobile

I ordered this Mytouch phone protector even though there were ZERO reviews. I depend on the reviews to help me make my decision on purchase. As this one had no review I decided to take a chance as I was looking for a Hard case and this looked so nice.

This item arrived very quickly and just as pictured. The case fits my MYTOUCH 4G perfectly. The design looks better in person!

So happy with my purchase! Snap-On Protector Hard Case for HTC Mytouch 4G 2010 (T-Mobile) - Spring Flower Design

I purchased this cover for my wife based on the positive reviews on Amazon. She has had it for a couple of days and I am now buying her a different one. The reason I am buying a different one is because this case is too bulky and provides no grip when holding it. The pattern looks nice, but the patterns on the top and bottom pieces don't line up with each other. When using the phone, the lip of the case is fairly high off the phone and your hand always bumps on the inner edge. It also has nothing soft on the inside to protect the phone from rubbing on the case. Overall it is a pretty design and it fits over the phone, but other than that this case doesn't have too much going for it.

My toddler likes to grab my phone and throw it on the ground. This is great to protect it.

Does increase the bulk significantly (not a shock).

My only complaint (other than bulk), and yes I realize it is ridiculous, is that I didn't look closer to see that the design has bees on it. I thought it was just floral. I'm just not a big fan of bees--at least, not enough to have them all over my phone. Oh well, it's my own fault. haha!

I thought the Spring Flower Design would include only spring flowers. However, there are tiny really ugly bees that were on the case I got. (you can kind of see them in the picture if you look closely) I will never put this case on my phone. Also, the picture looks kind of blurry/pixelated. I would NOT recommend this! - My Touch Mytouch 4g Tmobile - Tmobile - Mytouch 4g'
